hi. hello. i just wanted to pop in and say that to this day, your fwb supercorp au is still one of my faves (i reread it recently and it just took me back to when i first discovered supercorp) :D!!

it was like one of the first supercorp fics i've read and im so glad i came across it when i did!! i hold it very near and dear to my heart :3 i absolutely admire your writing and your fics and i love the way you developed their feelings (really cant say no to a slowburn lmao), the angst was so so good and the end was so so satisfying. (i must admit, i didnt really know mich about kink and whatnot when i started it, so it was an interestingly fun ride xD!!)

(i think i remember feeling such a feeling about a supergirl fic, sunlit honey and lavender sunsets by wtfoctagon)

I haven't heard of that one, but like you said, there are SO many SuperCorp fics. (About 20% of my AO3 bookmarks are Supercorp). I am adding to my list though.

SG - i believe, you can get me through the night/i believe, we can reach the morning light by @jazzfordshire 1960s AU where Kara is a repressed housewife trapped in her marriage, and Lena the hip bohemian swinger moves in next door. Cue the pining. So much pining. OMG, the pining could fill Green Mountain National Forest. The first fic is from Kara's POV and the second is from Lena's POV. I read both of these back to back and then the next day I read the first one again now that I knew Lena's POV.

SG - To Make It Count/Making It Count by @jazzfordshire Back at it again with the Queen of AUs. I don't think I need to say much besides this is a Titanic AU, except everyone's gay and nobody dies. Well, some people die, but no one we care about. Not really a spoiler, since it's literally in the tags. The sequel is all of them living in New York and dealing with WWI, the Great Depression, all that fun early 20th century stuff, but like, in a non-depressing, lesbionic way. There's also background Sanvers in both.

WN - choose the devil I know (over the heaven i don't) by @sapphicstacks Avatrice firefighter AU. What if they had a FWB arrangement, but, like barely spoke to each other because Bea is so traumatized by her past and Ava doesn't want to rock the boat. What I said earlier about Avatrice having all the healthy communication in the actress AU? This is the "holy fucking shit just talk to each other!" flipside. Action, hurt/comfort, drama, trauma, mutual pining, so much smut…

WN - I (Really) Do by @theycallmequeerhat Modern no powers AU. Bea hasn't spoken to her family in 13 years, but her brother is getting married, he wants her to come and bring her girlfriend, and say heck off to their parents. Problem is she doesn't have a girlfriend. So she decides to ask Ava, the girl she's had a crush on for almost a year, to come to London with her and pretend to be her gf for the wedding. Trope-a-palooza! Mutual pining (I'm sensing a theme in my recs...) fake dating, only one bed, and some really good smut. Also there's a WiP "sequel" that's Ava's POV of the whole thing.

oh hell yea. i have to admit i am constantly listening to music but i find that i cannot concentrate on writing when listening to something with words or already casts such a specific mood that does not fit with what i'm writing. i tend to generally listen to my playlists to get in the mindset for writing a particular scene and then listen to white noise while writing

Alex shakes her head.

“Okay, because we’re just helping relieve the tension. It’s just strictly physical and -”

It takes every bit of Alex’s training to stop her from face-palming as Kara continues to ramble on.

Kara wasn’t sure she had the right place, at first, because the address Lena had provided hadn’t led her to a house, per se, but a fucking estate. The smooth ride of well-maintained asphalt ended at a big black gate adorned with a large L in a bold, looping metal cursive.

The gate opened as Kara rode up to it, revealing a crushed coral drive wide enough for at least three cars. It extended into the distance and cinched out of Kara’s vision before the house at the end of it came into view. And Kara had to weigh the fact that her motorcycle would absolutely tear the manicured drive to shreds with the daunting prospect of walking the bike who knew how far. She grimaced and gunned the engine, letting some of the bruised-pink gravel spray behind her as she made her way up the path.

It took a full three minutes to reach the end of the driveway, which flourished into a fancy roundabout complete with a working sculpture fountain and neatly trimmed hedges in the middle. And sitting behind it was the biggest house Kara had ever seen: a huge white Georgian with more windows than Kara could count at a glance, gleaming in the sun and each set with a Juliet balcony of deep black and shining blue. A sleek Doberman was sunning herself on the little porch, content to ignore the stranger in her midst. Kara flipped the visor on her helmet up to squint at the massive structure and whistled lowly.

“Are you lost, friend?” a smooth voice pulled her attention away from the house. The dog picked her head up, too, at the sounds, she and Kara mirroring each other’s movements unconsciously.

The voice belonged to a bald man with sharp gray eyes, standing next to the open door of a small sports car. Kara wasn’t half the gearhead her sister was, but even she could tell that the little car was probably worth a fortune. It looked fast and sleek, with those small, oblong headlights that denoted its age as somewhere from the 60s. The man looked just as expensive beside it, in a suit that Kara suspected cost more than her bike was worth.

“I don’t think so?” she said, off-kilter from her surroundings. She tugged her helmet off, shook out her hair.

“She’s here for me,” came a voice from the porch, and Kara relaxed physically at hearing it. Lena.

Lena doesn’t answer immediately. Her gaze drifts away, follows a couple of people on the street below them; they don’t speak any language Kara recognizes—it’s alien—but their excitement is tangible.

“Well...” Lena trails off, looking a little lost. “You.”

“Oh,” Kara says softly. Seconds pass, her thumb absently pulling at her belt. “Do… do you do that a lot?” Lena gives her an inquiring look, and Kara elaborates, “Thinking about me.”

Something picks up pace, and it’s one of Kara’s favourite sounds.

“I think about you all the time,” Lena admits. Quietly, privately.

But to answer your question, I have a couple fics I can think of off the top of my head:

real or not real by @mindthewolves I left an incredibly pitiful comment after I realized this was unfinished, but I like to think the aggressive praise I gave the author via DM might inspire her to continue. This one I consider CRIMINALLY underappreciated. Her WWII fic also absolutely destroyed me.

Something Borrowed by @janewithawhy I’d list this in my top favorite fics I’ve ever read. I WEPT. Was I on my period? I don’t know, but this story is fantastic. It’s beautiful. The author is also lovely, and I really enjoy the Catholic Priest Kara thirsting happening in their other story.

i’m almost me again (she’s almost you) by @lostariels Depending on how much fic you’ve read, you’ve probably come read lostariels. But I just stumbled across this fic, and I feel like it deserves considerably more praise. Did it ruin me psychologically for several days? Yes. Did I love it? Yes. I found myself not even imagining the actors, that’s how immersive this was. It should be an original work!

Pink Ladies, or Bioavailable Bisexuality by IShipItAllAndThenSome I’ve reread this one several times, and I LOVE it. I need to check on their new story. Based on the writing quality of this one, I’m sure it’s excellent.

Well Lena doesn’t know, but Kara does. Angst-meter on medium. She dies for real every time (so tw/ for all sorts of violence and death) but its not permanent. Happy ending. Great writing, great action, mystery, a desperate pining Kara, Lena being confused for the first two thirds of the fic, its really good.

When the teenage daughter of National City's notorious Luthor crime family finds herself with a baby and is promptly kicked out of home, she finds herself taken in by an all too willing to help paramedic, and a feeling of what love and family are really about as the two grow closer.

But she can't outrun her family's past forever, and she can't protect all of the people she loves from them, although Lena's determined to try, working with a covert government organisation to finally bring her brother to justice.
