Chapter Seven: Jemma

AU. An Aphrodite/Hephaestus retelling set in modern London. Jemma Simmons is the adopted daughter of Alister Fitz. Once an academic prodigy, she’s now a prize, a bargaining chip her adoptive father will marry off to further his ambitions. Known as the Aphrodite of Mayfair, Jemma is not quite resigned to her life, but she doesn’t know how to break free of her cage. Cast aside by his family after an accident left him scarred and limping, Dr. Leopold Fitz has reinvented himself as the ruthless head of a tech company making waves in the security sector. When the object of his secret obsessions falls into his grasp he will not be quick to let her go, but what starts as dark desire and a thirst for revenge becomes something else as he learns that Jemma is more than a pretty face. Will they find a way to be together, or will fate and greed tear them apart?

Hi! It’s the anon from before with the spuffy fics! I wanted to reconfigure my recommendations bc I did give more shorter fun-to-read crack-ish fics instead of the longer character forward ones you were looking for (I do still stand by them but I’m realizing that I got them from all over the place - ff.net, ao3, Elysian Fields, etc - which sorry about that btw).
Okay first off, where you can find the previous fics! When a snowstorm strands Buffy and Spike, they are forced to turn to each other for strength, especially when a missing Giles, mysterious visitors, and way too much magic threatens to turn it into a not so very merry Christmas. Set mid-S4.
