Favorite New Anime Summer 2022: Parallel World Pharmacy
Tumblr media
I absolutely love cozy, slice of life anime, so it's no surprise that the isekai Parallel World Pharmacy would fast become a new favorite.
A young, dedicated man researching a cure for cancer dies one day due to overwork. He wakes up in the body of a 10 year old boy named Pharma in a parallel world similar to 18th century france. He learns that Pharma was the son of one of the world's leading doctors, and that he can control "Divine Arts" which help him diagnose and treat patients. Through perseverance, friendship, luck, and a little bit of magic, Pharma opens a pharmacy in this world in hopes of bringing new medical knowledge and creating a place where commoners and nobles alike receive equal treatment.
The design is gorgeous, with many of the costumes and sets heavily influenced by 18th and 19th century Europe. Each episode covers a new challenge for Pharma as he learns to navigate this new world. What sets this apart from other isekai is that we get to see Pharma adjust to his new world and bring his talents to it, while also getting what is essentially a medical drama.
If you enjoyed Ascendance of a Bookworm or Dr. Ramune Mysterious Disease Specialist, lighthearted and sincere anime or medical shows, I definitely recommend Parallel World Pharmacy!

Whenever I spent the summer with my cousins, my older cousin turned on the TV to watch Dragon Ball while his sister and I were playing with our dolls and we always came together to tease him and drive him away. It wasn't until I watched the series after school on my own that I started paying attention. One of the first scenes I watched by myself was when Trunks told Goku that Vegeta and Bulma were his parents, and that's when I got hooked. It was fun before but now I was invested. My mom was watching telenovelas downstairs and I was in my room watching Dragon Ball because I wanted to know if Trunks was going to make it. I got to watch until the Buu saga and I ended up loving all of it
I'm Mexican, and we love Dragon Ball here. It's part of our culture to the point I didn't realize it was Japanese for the longest time. Unlike many people, DBZ wasn't what made me a weeb, but in the last couple of years I started watching again, and I got to love it more than I did as a child
I saw the movies with my friends, and like the nerd I am I even started to look into Sun Wukong because of Goku
As far as Kpop goes, I liked Seventeen but Super was the first song I really latched on to, because it's a Sun Wukong reference and the choreography is a huge DB reference. If I'm a Carat now it's because of that song
I was so happy when it was announced that Daima would have a simulcast with the Latin American dub, because that's the one I saw as a child and the one I love. It's so engrained in my mind that as much as I respect Masako Nozawa I can't watch the Japanese version
Even if I didn't like it I still owe Dragon Ball because most, if not all manga I love wouldn't be what they are without it. The Big 3 (One Piece, Naruto and Bleach) exist the way they do because of Dragon Ball, and they in turn inspired so many more artists, and they have all inspired me too. It's artists inspiring other artists and it's beautiful
I just love Dragon Ball so much, and I can't believe Toriyama is gone

Expurgatorio
Radio waves pulse and linger all around us in concentric circles
On the hellish hangman’s deck
Like used nooses
Or wrapping serpentine around
Our minds, incessant as mosquitoes
In the deep woods in a Tennessee summer.
Silicon in the form of a A bear trap,
but for the mind.
“Hey [pick your virtual assistant]
Keep me occupied with meaninglessness to consume.”
And we carry them with us willingly.
Perhaps we’re all a bit masochistic
Or our Death Drive is so cute, but a cab or streetcar we hailed to take us closer to stupidity
All immortalised, celebrated, and desired.
Twilight beckons, smears of multi coloured liipsticks form halos above
A million bedposts,
Glass slippers still on the floor or in the toilet.
The sun brings with it release from the need to release.
But what of those witching hours
The spells of blue light backlit screens
That fit in our pocket—
Just as we’re released,
so to are we captured again,
Look at your. Screentime,
How much does your attention cost?
Look closer at the data
When was your first pick up?
Like a mandarin clockwork
Only the enemy isn’t some regime
And your eyes aren’t forced open
As our dear Fuhers are apt to do.
But internal, an internalizad,
We’re at war with ourselves an each other in Simulcast.
The revolution won’t be televised.
It’ll be a Netflix special.
In nomine nihil
Et bacchanalibus
Et temerati
All hollowed out
on all hallows eve.
The waves burn,
Whether oceanic,
Molten floes,
Raído Or Gamma
We are surrounded by a Plathian
Kind of white noise, drowning
Like Phoenician sailors.
Only sockets that were his eyes.
This is my third time to try
What’s your count?
I inhale the goodness, premasticated
Good thing the bulimia kicked in.

If it’s true that Disney acquires the rights to stream bleach then I hope to god that they don’t make the same mistake as how they handled summer time rendering.
They literally took one of the best anime shows to come out this year and decided not to simulcast its and I stress region lock it u til it finishes its run on Japan and release it on the platform months later. Doing the same thing for bleach would be an insanely stupid especially since it’s for a series that everyone’s been waiting for it’s return for years now.
Netflix did the same shit with part 6 jojo and it completely killed all the hype for the stone ocean anime by not having it release week by week. I’m HOPING Disney does pull the same shit with Bleach.

He rushed crazily to the death site and noticed some unusual signs with Ushiro's body. He couldn't agree with the note that she died just by drowning. Now, Shinpei and Mio must investigate the real cause of death, and if some unusual power is behind this, they must save the others from the same fate. Summer Time Render Cast: As Summer Time Render anime is doing great on screens, the credit must be awarded to the staff and artists who worked around the clock to make this project a big hit. Every single one who was involved in this project did their best work, resulting in the series getting so much attention from fans worldwide. AVEX and GCREST Hip-Hop Project Paradox Live to Get Anime in 2023
Tumblr media
Back in 2019, Avex Pictures (ZOMBIE LAND SAGA, Fruits Basket) and GCREST (100 Sleeping Princes and the Kingdom of Dreams) collaborated to make Paradox Live: a hip-hop-centric media mix project with albums, live shows, and more to come. Part of that "more," as we've just discovered, is an anime adaptation coming next year.
The announcement was made at today's Paradox Live Dope Show: a live performance simulcast around the world. Avex went on to tweet out the announcement afterward, along with a celebratory illustration:
It’s official: Paradox Live will be a TV anime in 2023!!! As announced during the live concert, please stay tuned for more information on the release of the Paradox Live anime. To also stay up-to-date on international release of the anime and more, follow us @AVEXpictures_ pic.twitter.com/HcMzLnJDiZ

RELATED: Mixed Media Hip-Hop Project Paradox Live Prepares for Battle
Paradox Live follows eight aspiring hip-hop groups as they compete in the Phantom Live: a new event staged by legendary rappers BURAIKAN to find Japan's next great talent. All participants must possess Phantom Metal: a metallic substance contained in their accessories, which taps into a performer's emotions and creates vivid stage spectacles.
The project has spent the last few years building its rep by collaborating with restaurants and event spaces. What will the anime adaptation hold? We'll find out in 2023. In the meantime, Round 1 of the Paradox Live -Road to Legend- tournament is set to drop as two CDs this summer. "FATE" will feature BAE vs. AMPRULE and The Cat's Whiskers vs. 1Nm8, and "RAGE" will feature cozmez vs. VISTY and Goku Luck vs. Akanyatsura. Each disc will also include four audio drama tracks. This weekend's concert will receive a Blu-ray and DVD release in the near future.
