i don’t have eloquent words for this yet so if someone else does feel free to expand, but it’s like really really creepy how obsessed online queer spaces are with lesbians, policing lesbians’ identity, gatekeeping lesbianism, policing who lesbians can date, how lesbians can talk about themselves and their experiences, etc. in a way i have literally never seen applied to gay men. like sure there’s some discourse among and about gay men, but there is an entire subculture built solely around policing lesbian identity that leave a lot of sapphic spaces entirely uninhabitable to folks who don’t fit or their partners don’t fit the perfect white cis standard of lesbianism, because the vitriol people react with to anyone who threatens their Lesbian Standard is off the charts.

First off, there's actually multiple fish dubbed 'sheephead'! There's the sheepshead- note the extra S in there- and they look like this:

And yes those are their teeth. Horrifying tbh, but they're very good at what they do- crushing invertebrates and other shelled snacks! They're an Atlantic species that sticks to temperate and warmer waters, and they max out at about half a meter in length.

That's not the fish we're talking about today. The focus of today is the California sheephead wrasse- note the lack of a second S- also known as the 'sheephead' for short. Not confusing at all! We definitely don't bash our heads into walls over the naming conventions and lack of record-keeping of our scientist predecessors.

THIS is the sheephead wrasse, the species of the lovely and now Tumblr-famous Red! :D With a length of up to a FULL meter, they're a whole different size class of fish! They can be found along the west coast USA from the Baja Peninsula all the way up to Monterey, and dwell almost exclusively in kelp forests and nearby environments. I will use one of Red's pics as an example of female coloration-

The lighting isn't great but you can see how her body is streamlined, and besides the white underside of the jaw, has a salmon-pink coloration! Females can be pink or a dull silver-beige. And much like other large marine wrasse, MALES have a drastically different appearance.

This thing is built like a damn tank!! Sheephead are a species of wrasse that shift colors to gain those striking black scales and physically bulk up when becoming males- because guess what? ALL OF THEM ARE BORN FEMALE! By default, all male California Sheephead are FTM trans :) They use that bulky head and extremely tough set of jaws to not only hunt their preferred prey- mollusks, gastropods, and bivalves, etc- but also to bash and chomp down on rival males. This one has won many battles, look at that scarred up muzzle!

The sex change is determined by several factors, as it's not guaranteed all sheephead will eventually become males. Because sheephead school in a harem system- many females to very few males- in order to maximize pressure of stronger offspring, the biggest and healthiest sheephead male will drive out competition from the school. Naturally, a sheephead that lives longer and gains a greater size will have a much higher chance of shifting from a female to a male, if the conditions are right. Stress induced from competition can suppress the hormones that stimulate this transition in females, so they're less likely to gain size and shift from female to male if there's already strong competition taking place. However, in the event there are too few males to mate with the females, or no males present at all, the biggest female will start transitioning to fill the empty slot! It's a long process that can take as few as a couple months, or up to years, depending on resources available.

Conversely, if there are TOO MANY males, they can revert back into females! This process also takes a long time, and is a lot more rare to witness, especially because right now male California sheephead in particular are being spear-fished into becoming an Endangered species :c Sheephead adult males in good condition are considered a trophy animal in spear-fishing and similar marine trophy hunting off the West coast, and because males in particular are being targeted, the gene pool is being reduced when it wrecks the harem structure of schools.

As a fun fact- they're also an incredibly smart fish, and can form relationships with humans, as demonstrated with me and sweetiepie Red cx There's many documented cases of large marine wrasses forming long-term friendships with divers! Here's a humphead wrasse that made friends with a diver she learned would crack snails open for her with a hammer:

I don't work at the facility with Red anymore, but I currently work with two unnamed adult male sheephead, and once again they both like me and seem to despise all my coworkers, even if I never had the opportunity to train them like I did with little Red xD They pick favorites I guess? Now if only I could make friends with the garibaldi...

Zolu in One Piece Video Games

I put 65+ hours into One Piece Odyssey, a game in which the Strawhats are robbed of their powers and must relive memories of key events/battles (Alabasta/Crocodile, Dressrosa/Doflamingo, etc.) to earn them back. Post timeskip/pre-WCI so no Jinbe on the crew.

Zolu are wild in it, so enjoy the highlights. 

Their general nonsense:

When they reunite early in the game, Luffy/Zoro greet each other first/only despite the whole crew being there

Shared brain cell of agreeing that “Charging through a marine outpost sounds like fun”

Don't communicate with words in battle and somehow both know what to do in Alabasta when their memories 'change'

During a fight with Aokiji in Water 7, Luffy is frozen solid, and only Sanji and Zoro can bring him back to the Merry. Zoro flawlessly navigates through the entire city and even points out what directions they must go in, much to Sanji’s surprise. 

AKA the only time Zoro knows directions is when Luffy needs him most

While Luffy is injured and a conflict with the marines starts, Zoro takes the lead because “my crew is frozen” 

Towards the end of the level, Zoro has a unique reaction (no one else does individually) when Luffy can’t beat Lucci and is the only strawhat to realize the Lucci in their memories is stronger

Once Luffy wins, Zoro’s unique dialogue is, again, “Seriously, you almost scared me back there.”

When going to Marineford memories, Zoro is the only one to comfort/check in with Luffy, asking if he’s alright/ready to do this. Luffy responds ‘yeah’ - and in that section, Zoro is the only person Luffy speaks to

Clicking on other crewmates just has them speaking, not Luffy responding to them

Similarly, post-Marineford, Zoro is the one to respond to Luffy’s “I’m glad everyone’s okay” with a ‘yeah’, because they don’t need to talk about it further.

In multiple situations, Luffy and Zoro are the only ones to realize an enemy is tracking them or ”not right” and will check with the other about it- “Did you notice?/Yup, they’re getting closer”

Since they’re usually placed together in cut scenes, Zoro is almost always the first crewmate ‘shown’ reacting to Luffy and often has minor, unique dialogue just for him

Zoro whines/demands to Luffy that he wants to fight in the coliseum in Dressrosa this time. 

“I don’t want to, but if Luffy says so.”

At the game's ending, Zoro places himself in front of an injured Luffy to protect him (and had done that through the game)

“We’re more about the future than the past now, right Luffy?” “Right!” (their final lines are together).

Their unique ‘battle’/gameplay conversations are a riot:

They talk about killing specific monsters because they’re hungry

Zoro spots a swordsman and wants to fight them/Luffy cheers him on

Are very happy to keep fighting when the other ‘pushes’ an opponent into their area of battle (Nami is not!)

Zoro claims Luffy shouldn’t have to fight certain weak enemies and that he’s already about to beat them, even though Luffy complains he wants to fight too!

When they finish a battle, Zoro will sometimes reference the Baratie vow and that he’ll become a master swordsman, concludig with “Got a problem with that King of the Pirates?” as Luffy laughs and says "Nope!"

"You're in MY captain's way. Time to move it or lose it!"

Odyssey is focused on the whole crew and the island mystery they’re solving, but there was so much heart between everyone (Sanji saves Usopp, Robin affectionately calls Nami their reliable navigator). It was very obvious how much these two rely on each other and that Zoro isn’t just the swordsman but the first mate

He didn’t where was his friends, but he’s sure they’re near, he didn’t want to bother them. he stood and rushed at the enemy, drawing his weapon. he struck the enemy with his weapon blows but he quickly dodged It. His anger keep growing up, but the fatigue was wining over his body. The weapons were clashing, sweat were dropping to the ground, blood dropping everywhere. The only thing they could scent was their own blood. Suddenly, the man in front of him disappeared and made an attack from behind, leaving [Name] surprised. He gave several blows finally piercing his body, which almost reached his heart and slashed his back. The blood was flowing everywhere, he was stunned. He was too slow to anticipate the attack. He couldn’t stand on his two feet and collapsed on the ground.

Hearing a scream, the straw hat ran towards her, thinking about the worse. When they arrived their eyes widened in fear. Luffy’s eyes darkened, he didn’t say anything. Will he leave like his brother did ? He didn’t want it to happen. He wanted to stay with you.

He looked around and saw an reindeer, it was Chopper, his smile widened, he cheered how happy he was. Luffy entered the room, and his eyes also widened. He walked towards him, wrapping his hands around his torso.

• Nami def scolded you to be more careful and don’t push yourself too much. Sanji totally agree with what she’s said.

• Robin just told you to not let the anger eating you, or gaining over you body.

• Luffy became more protective of you, he wants you by his side. He doesn’t want to see hurt, nor dead. He knows you can defend yourself but, he’ll protect you anyway

Adventure Time AU concept that has been marinating in my head for a while

(Disclaimer: this isn't TOTALLY lore accurate like I had to change the way the crown works and there's a few plot holes. This is just self indulgent ok don't mind me)

In this AU, about 1,000 years ago, Simon began to realize that the effects of the crown were permanent. Despite fearing that he wouldn't be able to protect Marcy, he was even more scared that he would end up hurting her himself, so he buried the crown deep underground the moment he got the chance. The madness hadn't completely overtaken him, but he still faced some of the effects of the crown.

1,000 years later, Finn and Jake discover a crown underground, and, while Finn has no real interest in it, Jake thinks it looks cool so he puts it on. The madness doesn't affect him immediately like what happened with Simon and FW Finn because of reasons I haven't come up with yet, but after a couple weeks Finn notices that Jake is acting weird. He gradually begins forgetting things, including Finn's name, opting to call him "Gunther." (Finn thought this was hilarious at first, but Jake just kept doing it). Finn tries to take the crown away, only to discover that Jake has shapeshifted around it, so it's like attached to his head.

After Finn tries to take it by force, Jake attacks him and freezes his arm right as Finn manages to knock the crown off, and Jake is like "oh shit" and promises to not put the crown on. (They unfreeze Finn's arm with a blowdryer. Or no maybe it would be better if that was how Finn loses his arm? Idk let me dwell on that for a bit)

Anyways Jake keeps his promise for a while but eventually they have to fight a Big Bad (the Lich maybe?) and Jake nabs the crown and puts it on to protect Finn and that's basically the last straw and he becomes this universe's Ice King (I might come up w/ a different name for him considering every AU version of the crown wearer seems to have a different name, ie Snowman, Ice Prince, Winter King etc)

Ok exposition aside. So at first Finn lived on his own in the tree house but then Marcy and Simon moved in with him. BMO is also there and they take a slightly more parental role to Finn than their canon counterpart due to Jake's absence but. Keyword "slightly"

In this AU Finn is generally stronger, smarter, and more independent, but he has a bad temper, is a lot more unstable, and is far worse socially. In the same way Ice King wanted to be friends with Marcy, Ice Jake (stand-in name) still feels attachment to Finn (who he still calls Gunther). Finn keeps trying to give Ice Jake a chance but is still reeling over losing Jake so being with Ice Jake just frustrates and upsets him. He'll hang out with IJ for a day, come back home FUMING, and then give it a week or two and he'll go back to IJ, promising that he can "be cool this time" (he can't)

IJ doesn't have IK's obsession with princesses, but he is obsessed with Lady in particular, so she gets kidnapped a lot. He's also just generally a villain-esque nuisance the same way IK is.

I believe that's everything? Again totally not lore accurate it's just something I enjoy thinking about

On the Wonderbolts thing from a day or two ago: I'm writing a thing where Equestria has entered a very Star Trek-era where there's a lot of other species running around as well, and I was worried that I was glorifying violence by giving them a self-defense force and playing to the Warhammer Space Marines crowd, but I think I've managed to avoid that sort of weird flavor of nationalism by stressing their role as something between park rangers and the Coast Guard and not as a standing army, and also the fact that they want to make the universe a better place for everyone and not just ponies- by which I mean my imaginary super special space ponies are way cooler than the Wonderbolts and wouldn't be dicks to RD for no reason, and they're also probably stronger and smarter too just while I'm throwing fuel on the fire

HEAD COVEN DIWA AU.

Diwa joined the Emperor’s Coven age 43 after a year grieving at her father’s execution. Bells himself and 2 men went to Diwa to have an arrangement,a deal. Belies gives Diwa a position becoming head of the beast coven, and head of the military (since Belos has eyes everywhere ) in return Diwa will be payed a lot money and protection on her family. Diwa knew about this is a sketchy deal, she is full aware that HE only need her for his own personal gain but…. To protect her son… She accepted deal but her own terms. 1.She is allowed to leave Emperors coven even it’s her day off or visiting important events on Clay’s and Jasper’s life ( Like graduation/birthday etc). In every time did Bella can add punishments on her or extra orders. 2. She allowed to go home every night. And finally NEVER come near to her family in any other way (This Au Clay’s was never destroyed). He accepted the terms and they have a deal. Diwa told Jasper about deal. Jasper was heart broken seeing his wife, joining the coven she never wanted, sacrificing her freedom for them…Clay never knew why Diwa Joined. Jasper knew and kept secret to Clay.

DIWA POSITION IN EMPERORS COVEN:

Diwa is the backbone of the emperors coven, she made the scouts stronger and great fighters. Diwa,Terra,and,Hettie are the power house of the coven because they are one of the most powerful witches second to Darius. This Au Diwa uses her magic more than than the canon she use he Bolo knife / itak. This Au Diwa has most PTSD attack after owl house especially the collector

I was inspired by the Admirals. Think about world building in that au. The ranking on Emperors is like in One Piece Marines

I absolutely love your thoughts and introspectives! I also really relate to sometimes having opinions or preferences that differ from the majority in the fandom (eg I also am not that into malleus and fail to see his appeal, and I mald over tweel mischaracterization)

I'd love to hear your thoughts on a headcanon I've seen in the fandom concerning merfolk: that they also live long lives. not as long as fae, but in the 100s ranges. do you think it's plausible given what we already know? I do like the instant angst material that occurs when a mer is paired with a human but personally, given the spare bits and pieces of mer lore we've seen, I think they age pretty normally like humans. you could even say their life expectancy may be even shorter than humans simply because of how dangerous it is under the sea. what do you think?

Personally, I don’t think there’s a lot that supports the “merfolk have long lifespans” headcanon. I feel like that’s something that comes less from TWST canon itself and more from general real life legends and lore. I guess a lot of it comes from people wanting to have fun with making creations where a merman outlives their human friends and/or S/O.

While it’s true that not every headcanon needs “proof” or backing from official materials, I think this is definitely a case where fans borrow from outside resources rather than the canon to form their ideas (and there’s nothing wrong with doing that; we just have to remain mindful that headcanon isn’t canon and to not conflate the two). The same can honestly be said for a lot of headcanons pertaining to fairies (which borrow from fairy mythology from all over the real world) and beastmen (who are likened to their real world animal counterparts). Headcanons involving merpeople usually have fans referencing mermaid stories (ie “eat the flesh for eternal life”, “catch a mermaid and they’ll be forced to grant you three wishes”, “their songs lure sailors to their doom”, “they cry pearls”, etc) or real marine animals (”moray eels have second jaws, so the twins must also have those”, “octopuses has three hearts, so merform Azul must have them too”, “opening the mouth is a courtship ritual for moray eels, so that must be why Jade was embarrassed to show his mouth when apple bobbing”, etc).

The impression I’ve always gotten is that both merfolk and beastmen have lifespans similar to humans. Fae are consistently portrayed as the “outlier” race or the one that is the most far-removed from being “human” (right down to the fairies in Fairy Gala and Vargas Camp chasing off those they perceive as being different from themselves). The age and lifespan difference between them and other races is mentioned often, and sometimes fairies use “Child of Man” to refer to all non-fairies, which implies that fairies see themselves as a separate entity from all the others. Every other race appears to be lumped into the same category of “human” to fairies.

Even more telling than that is a scene at the end of episode 6 of the main story (more specifically, 6-82). In that scene, Malleus asks Lilia if humans really do change (age) drastically in “100 years or so”. Lilia says yes, then elaborates that while human lives are as fragile as threads on a spindle, they can still weave together and, in their companionship, create something far stronger. While Lilia is saying this, the game cycles through each of the other dorms, including beastmen and merfolk characters. If we take into consideration what Malleus said prior to Lilia’s confirmation (ie the disbelief that “humans” age so rapidly), plus the general dissonance between fairies and all other races (again, all being lumped into the category of “human”)… this implies to me that merfolk and beastmen probably have the same general life span as a regular human.

Now, I can’t really speak on average life expectancy seeing as we don’t know a lot of details about how life is under the sea (whether it’s more “civilized” or more “feral/wild” or about different adaptations between the types of merpeople. I don’t doubt that the deep sea is a treacherous place to live, but at the same time, I also don’t doubt that merpeople have evolved over time to adapt to those harsher environments and have taken measures to protect themselves from the dangers the deep may pose. To me, it’s not that different than like human parents who live by the woods telling their children to not eat the wild plants they can’t identify or to not play with wild animals.

There’s also the fact that Floyd has said that not a lot of merpeople come to the land. However, if the sea is supposedly so dangerous and maybe cutting their lives short because of it, why wouldn’t merpeople be clamoring to come to the surface world (especially when there are organizations and resources in place to encourage this migration)?

The brief time we were underwater to visit the Atlantica museum (in episode 3), we see something that I assume is the seabed (the background where we fight eel forms Jade and Floyd), and for being the bottom of that part of the ocean it seemed to be pretty light and colorful (which probably means it’s not the deepest the ocean can go)?? Not to mention that the mermen guards stationed there seemed relatively friendly, not hostile or on guard for their lives. It’s definitely not representative of all merpeople or life under the sea though (there are definitely different “depths” to the sea, so what is the “bottom” of one location doesn’t necessarily cover for the deepest or darkest possible corner of the entire sea); we’d need more information to draw a more firm conclusion. Until then, I’ll give the benefit of the doubt to merpeople and say they’re similar to humans in both life span and life expectancy (though it could be highly variable depending on merperson subspecies and if they live in a shallower or in a deeper section of the sea).

headcanons, huh? well as with all my headcanons, this is shorter than usual. Also, this is just how I see things playing out and how I see him reacting. Hope you like it and thank you for being patient with me.

When you first tell him about it and how it affected you, he’s worried

He remembers taking part in it

It’s not one of his prouder moments and the moment you tell him about what it did to you, he downright regrets it.

Hides it from you or at least tries to hide it from you

Becomes really jumpy around you because he’s afraid of telling you and how you’ll react

Is more prone to mistakes than ever

You become super suspicious because of how he’s acting

He’s also infinitely more attentive and cuddly because he feels really guilty

And because he’s afraid that he’ll lose you if you ever find out. 

It’s one night when he thinks your asleep that you find out

He starts apologizing to your ‘sleeping’ form over and over again

The regret and sorrow is clear in his voice

It’s kind of like that moment in the anime/manga where he’s drunk and talking to ‘sleeping’ Law.

Except he’s not drunk, he’s just guilt ridden. 

You turn over and look at him, showing him that you’re actually awake, he screams in surprise

As soon as his fear subsides, he’s on all fours, bowing to you and apologizing like crazy

Seriously, he will not shut up to let you talk

He’s also crying a lot

It isn’t until you gently put a hand on him that he stops babbling and glances up at you

The moment you forgive him (and have assured him that you’re absolutely certain), he’s holding you close… and still crying

Will not let you go, seriously, he will carry you back to bed, wrap himself around you, and you will not be going anywhere.

You will have a very tall, very clumsy puppy following you around for a while afterwards

Will repeatedly apologize to you or ask if you’re sure you’ve forgiven him for days.

Not even kidding, I hope you’re patient because he won’t let up.

It’s kind of sweet that he feels so bad about it though because it shows you how much he cares.

It irritates Doflamingo how Corazon won’t leave you alone.

He needs his brother to get shit done, not follow you around for reasons he doesn’t know.

You both make up the excuse that his clumsiness somehow caused you harm.

Your relationship is a lot stronger after that

He also promises to never, ever hide anything from you again. 

He then proceeds to tell you all about how he grew up with Sengoku because of this.

He also tells you a lot about his life as a marine. 

And how he’s undercover.

Which you’d already figured out because you’re smart.

You still don’t like that marines and still have trauma, but you don’t say anything about him being a marine because you love him. 

He’s literally the only marine you don’t dislike.

After he dies your hatred is all turned towards Doflamingo

Also, you agree to meet with Sengoku.

You still don’t like marines and aren’t crazy about Sengoku but you respect him for raising Cora.

You and Sengoku meet on the anniversary of Cora’s death to talk about him, bring flowers to his grave, etc.

Sengoku thinks of you as a daughter because of how much Corazon loved you. 

You begrudgingly accept that he refers to you as his daughter.

I know we r in our yajirobe™ era rn but can we talk about ms chichi ? had an epiphany about her 30 minutes ago thougt id share

shes kinda like marge simpson to me if marge didnt take no prisoners (ever)(will not elaborate). like i remember when she let goku take gohan one time (1) to go see his friends and then her husband DIED and she didn't see her son for like 9 months. and then the next 10 or so years hes just put in perilous situations all the time, none of which she can prevent or protect him from. absolutely insane. I would have gone absolutely insane. The throes of despair id be in.. The feeling of overwhelming helplessness... woman is stronger than any us marine.

LIKE I kinda GET WHY SHE GETS FUSSY AND HAS HANGUPS ABOUT CERTIAN THINGS NOW..... like warnjng goten abt city woman or drilling gohan about his education... DELINQUENTS.... etc etc.. just SOMETHING she could do to protect them even a little bit!! even a little bit!!! working within her limitations yanno

obviously I think if she had like a normal life with a normal spouse and kids she probably wouldn't be this uptight or high-strung (or would she???). But since that's not what she'll ever have, maybe it drives her off the edge a little. That a life where her family is both safe and alive may not be possible after all. I guess its not a surprise that her emotions can often manifest in violent ways. wounded heart :-(

in summary i think chichi should be allowed to smooch any one she wants (mr piccolo) maybe get an all expense paid for trip to iceland or something SHE DESERVES IT!!

She's crazy because her life has been crazy. Totally understandable!

Feelings of helplessness are something that is so absolutely soul-crushing ... We see several characters speak of it, but in the end they are all able to mobilize in some way to deal with it (Krillin was overwhelmed how everyone was dying when Vegeta showed up; he later went to Namek about it, although he never recovered his shattered sense of competence.) (Everybody was feeling helpless during the Cell shit, and I'm specificlaly thinking about when Tenshinhan decided that dying in battle was better than doing nothing, and he went to face Cell and was able to stave him off for a bit using his Kikoho technique) (....Also thinking about how in the original dragon ball, he was forced immobile by some sort of drug Roshi gave him so that he couldn't risk his life interfering when Roshi faced off with Piccolo Daimao.. and how. Absolutely horrifying. That must have been for him. To not be able to move when all of him was needing to. And how he immediately became committed to Doing Something About Piccolo Daimao as soon as he could mobilize.)

I've definitely been on record as saying that Chichi acts the way she does largely because of how helpless she feels. She is subjected to the same helplessness as everyone else, only she never has any hope of doing anything about it. She just has to yell louder and hope that someone will listen this time.

Interesting stuff. Thank you for your empathy and compassion. It makes life meaningful.

Town of Puddle: Nephilim

When the story of Puddle begins, many angels have human forms which can conceive children in the usual human way. These nephilim (part-angels) can typically pass as human if also part human. However they can also be part vampire, part fae, etc. Angels reincarnate into new human forms upon death; but nephilim do not reincarnate. Luckily they are very difficult to kill. They are sturdier than regular humans, longer lived, and stronger.

Angels and nephilim can both use angelic magic. The toll paid for such magic is their body and mind. When an angel uses too much magic, it corrupts their human form, turning it monstrous. Nephilim can also corrupt in this way but it is much more difficult, they are physically more stable. Nephilim magic tends to be more specialized into one skillset, and is weaker than that of their angelic parents.

Nephilim are unique from angels in that they have free will. No matter how hard Puddle angels try to deny it, everything they do is the will of the divine Entity they serve.

Every nephilim, like angels, has a true name. It is functionally the same as an angel’s true name.

After some incidents involving nephilim, the Order banned their creation. Later in the story after the angels are freed from the Order’s control, many more nephilim are born.

Eden Siddhasadhakah (Eden) - the child of the angels Gabriel and Lehahiah. Eden was created in secret with the Order’s permission, to be used as a tool for their schemes. Eden is very gifted in dream-walking and other mind magic. They had an isolated childhood, kept in captivity by the Order with only their parents for company. Eden’s influence corrupted their parents into monsters. They were freed and escaped into the world, only to find they had no skill navigating it. 

Joan Santos (Jeanne Silence Santos) - the child of the angel Joel and his wife Tace. Joan was named in honor of Joan of Arc, and her powers and destiny have been shaped by that name. She is a skilled fighter and in her youth had dream-walking ability, but as she grew hardened against the world she lost that power, and now instead is plagued by nightmares and visions.

Talia Moon (Anesidora) - the child of the angel Michael and vampire Vivian Moon. Talia is a charismatic and much beloved radio celebrity. Some say her stories have a hypnotic quality. As a half-vampire, Talia inhabits glamoured corpses. Her true form is both extremely frightening and physically unwieldy. She is adept at mind control and shapeshifting. Talia is almost impossible to kill - any vampiric weaknesses are tempered by her innate magic.

Atlas Esadze Larson (Aether) - Atlas is the eldest son of Cecilia and Mordecai. He inherited shapeshifting from Cecilia. His monstrous true form is a hybrid of his parents’ true forms. Atlas has a very unique ability to temporarily use the powers of anyone he eats, depending on how much he consumes them. He also inherited a terrible hunger from his distant ancestor Rapha. Atlas is physically strong and a skilled fighter, but struggles in school and with interpersonal relationships. Atlas has a few things he knows everything about: his favorite topics are monsters, marine biology, fishing, and sailing. 

Fenrir Butcher (Fenris) - the youngest child of the angels Hamiel and Penemue. Fenrir was taught to excel in all things as a child, his parents expected the very best from him. As an adult, he pursues a career in professional hockey. However later in life he finds himself missing some sense of fulfillment and imagination, never having the chance to learn about those things in childhood. 

Sapphira Melua Larson is the youngest child of Sirena and Teutho. Like her father she has red hair and a terrifying monstrous form. Sapphira aspires to be as confident and powerful as her mother, but is hindered by her own naivety and insecurity. 

Jerry (Jericho) - in a subsequent life, the angels Gabriel and Lehahiah have a second child named Jerry. She is Eden’s younger sister, Eden and Aliza help to raise her. Jerry takes after her dad more than Eden does, she is a skilled fighter and has a lot of patience. Jerry has a compassion and shyness that is unusual in her family, so they fuss over her a lot. She becomes a bodyguard in the employ of Sirena, who she looks up to.

How Gyutaro reacts when you don't bathe

Gyutaro is a stinky boy. It's not that be doesn't bathe on purpose, there just isn't a reason to. His main priority is hunting for food and protecting his sister, and as far as he's concerned bathing has nothing to do with either.

You, on the other hand, live in the Kyogoku house with Daki. She's made sure that no other man lays a hand on you except for her brother. But even though Gyutaro doesn't care about personal hygiene, you still do. Using perfume and showering daily.

That is, until your perfume runs out and the showers stop working. It's winter, and the pipes had frozen so you were forced to go without a bath for a while.

It's been a week since you've last bathed, and you're starting to feel self conscious. At least you can rest easy knowing that your lover won't mind.

Gyutaro returns from a night of hunting, his body pungent with the smell of sweat and blood. Plopping beside you in your futon like he always does. But something is different this time.

Gyutaro sits up, points his nose in the air and sniffs. The senses of a demon are much stronger than that of a human, so Gyutaro is smelling even more of your natural scent than you are aware of.

With a smirk, Gyutaro leans closer to you. His nose brushing against the shell of your ear, "You smell... ravishing tonight." Sticking out his long, slimy tongue to lick the back of your ear.

"Cut it out, Gyu. That tickles..." you pout.

With a deep groan, Gyutaro moves on top of you. Placing his hands on your knees, attempting to spread your legs apart. But you resist him, keeping them closed tight.

"C'mon, don't be so shy my love."

"Not tonight darling. I'm not clean enough, the shower has been out for a week," you say, a blush forming on your cheeks.

"Oh? That's perfect!" Gyutaro chuckles, "Before, I'd say you weren't dirty enough. But tonight, you smell perfect."

He forces your legs open, resulting in a yelp coming from you. Gyutaro hastily opens your robe and removes your panties, making sure to inhale your scent deeply before he tosses them to the side.

You try to push his face away as he lowers it towards your core. He licks his lips thinking about how long you've been marinating for him. You must taste so fucking good.

He's not going to let this opportunity go to waste. He plans on savoring the taste of you all night long.
