FINALLY SAW ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE!!! Holy shit. I was sitting here thinking people were exaggerating saying it was even better than the first, thinking there’s no way you can top that genre-changing masterpiece and I shouldn’t get my hopes too high...I was so wrong. It WAS truly, genuinely a sequel that took the source material and ELEVATED IT x100 while also honoring and building off of it.

The first one made it so obvious that a great deal of love went into every frame, and even more love went into every detail of this one. Truly terrifying scenes, viscerally unsettling visuals, heavy themes, solid callbacks and references, fantastic new characters...this bitch has got it all. My brain is scrambled. I can’t even put my thoughts together, I’m just like *standing ovation*

Perfect balance of making plot points/themes/twists obvious enough that you could guess them coming but not SO obvious that it feels like spoon-feeding, you know??? They did us DIRTY at the end though what do you MEAN it’s a two-parter?!?!?! I said “NO!” aloud in the theatre, I was so wholly gripped by the last five minutes and now we have to wait HOW many years?!?!?!

my immediate thoughts on the first four and a bit episodes of netflix's avatar!

okay I’m sorry but there is NO WAY sozin was actually present and storming the air temple. dude’s the fire lord. he would absolutely have been sitting behind a desk from the safety and comfort of his own palace and receiving the occasional update via letter at MOST. 

are we supposed to infer the airbender woman who gyatso nods at is aang’s mum? surely the camera lingered on her (and showed her having absolutely bananas-level tornadobending skills) for a reason.

gyatso with the kids :”( literally made me cry. 

honestly I was not as outraged as some people with the whole ‘toning down sokka’s sexism’ thing, bc I do understand some of his lines coming across differently/more maliciously in 2024 than intended at the time they were written. but I have to say … this version of katara opening the iceberg was not entirely convincing :/ like in the OG version you could see how she was so angry at sokka that it fuelled her waterbending enough to break the iceberg, but in this one she just … raises her hands? 

I get that this show is trying to be its own thing, but ‘will you go penguin sledding with me?’ is SUCH a perfect introduction to aang’s character, and I’m kind of bummed they nixed the line :/ 

and I get there are time constrains etc, but they didn’t include any of katara and aang actually bonding together, so it doesn’t really make sense now that she’s willing to go off and travel the world with him. 

the music is really good!

speaking of, why does gran gran know everybody’s business?

they definitely seem to have toned down zuko’s personality? like OG show zuko would not be having a back and forth conversation with iroh about the avatar, he would’ve just shouted at him and stormed off. 

I also really like the interaction between iroh and aang. iroh’s toeing the party line, but you get the sense that he believes differently. 

okay, I have to say this, and this is something I’ve been thinking since the first promo pictures came out. everyone’s clothes look too clean! our real clothes have were and tear, but these outfits don’t look lived in! it’s distracting me!

that said, paul sunghyung lee is completely spot-on as live-action iroh. completely captures the character’s personality and appearance. I want a hug from this version of iroh.

must admit I am glad that appa and momo are 100 times cuter and nowhere near as terrifying as they looked in [REDACTED BY THE DAI LI]. 

okay, heading into episode two. 

seems they have retconned zhao’s origin story, since this seems to be the first time iroh has met him? does this now mean zhao was not present at the zuko/ozai agni kai, like he was in the OG show?

SUKI!!!! 

suki’s reaction to meeting a boy she likes being to throw down and fight him, what a little weirdo (affectionate). 

oh, zuko. having the confidence to try and fight AVATAR KYOSHI is certainly … A Decision. one that a teenage boy would make!

hmm I’m kind of intrigued as to where they’re going with the live action version of zhao. because right now it seems like he’s a nameless commander — like we’re supposed to infer his letter is his first direct communication with ozai? he’s not been around the royal family before? by taking away this backstory, the show is missing out on the total hilarity of a middle-aged man having longstanding, personal beef with a sixteen-year-old.

listen, if daniel dae kim wanted to be in my tv show I would absolutely be like ‘yes, of course, how many close-ups do you want?’ but I do think the OG show not revealing ozai’s face until season 3 was a really smart decision. it built up so much suspense and mystery around this character (who is supposed to be larger than life!) and it had SUCH good payoff IMHO. I do kind of wish they had committed to this too but, like. if daniel dae kim was in my show I’d want his face in it, so I get it. 

time for episode three! 

azula!! introducing her doing undercover work makes sense for her character, given how she later infiltrates ba sing se. though I’m not sure it’s entirely believable that the people … wouldn’t recognise her? in the fire nation capital? she’s a (very!) public figure!

again, season 1 zuko would not have had the patience and self-control to compromise with zhao like this. 

mai and ty lee! I like that the show is already hinting at mai betraying azula for zuko — her first instinct is to defend zuko (even though she walks it back when she sees azula is upset), hinting at where her true loyalties eventually lie. 

being a teenage girl and getting led astray by a bad boy with a shaggy haircut is, unfortunately, a canon event for us all. 

katara brushing by zuko and him touching her scarf!!! not the 2024 zutara crumbs! 

‘zuko, don’t fire bend, it’ll draw too much attention!’ zuko: proceeds to have a huge smackdown fight w aang, destroying multiple vendors’ goods in the process. 

that lady smacking zuko for attacking aang was genuinely the funniest part of the episode. 

‘MY CABBAGES!’ iconic, outstanding, give him an oscar immediately!

episode four! 

more aang and iroh interactions! maybe they'll do a jailbreak together? 

loved seeing the iroh and ozai interaction, I hope we get to see more of their dynamic together. (I think a lot of ozai’s actions make sense when you remember he’s a youngest child.) 

loved the detail of zuko giving iroh lu ten’s broach (badge? pin? it’s late, my brain’s getting fuzzy), showing that his softer side was always there.

bumi’s voice and mannerisms and completely spot-on, but I’m not sure I entirely agree with his new characterisation. he seems so … jaded and bitter? yes, they’ve captured his silliness and eccentricity, but he’s also supposed to be wise, and I’m not sure if the latter is really coming across.

okay episode five! (it’s 11:30PM at this point, and I can feel myself becoming less and less coherent, so don’t expect as much detail at this point.) 

ooof. the CGI while the gaang is on appa seems … worse than in earlier episodes? did they run out of money at this point? 

this version of ozai seems more … pragmatic? he’s strategically playing his kids against each other, but IMHO animated ozai would never praise zuko (even if it was to put azula in her place) bc he didn’t like him enough to do that. ever. 

JUNE LOOKS SO GOOD.

Top Hat's thoughts on the FNAF movie (Spoilers)

I thoroughly enjoyed it! Smiled throughout the whole thing

As a FNAF fan, seeing some key moments from the games as well as acknowledging the fandom (e.g Game theory's MatPat and The Living Tombstone's iconic song at the credits) made my jaw drop

FNAF veterans such as Dawko enjoyed it so that made me optimistic

The animatronics were replicated perfectly and the entire set for the restaurant is just too beautiful

Scenes such as the break-in, while not exactly scary, were still intense enough to keep me invested

Unpopular opinion - I kinda liked the pillow fort scene, it was cheesy but it could be seen as the animatronics trying to gain Abby's trust to lure her to be stuffed into a suit. Also I'm jealous, i wanna make a pillow fort with them 😭

And here's where I'll address (some of) the main critiques people gave to the movie (references: anything in the media that would link to this in a way)

"The movie wasn't scary at all, it should've been gory"

Yeah, I agree, even though I got shocked a couple of times (like the balloon boy gag) it wasn't really terrifying

But honestly, after watching countless "playthroughs" as a kid, you start to realise... The games were never that scary in the first place

To be honest, the only thing scary about it was actually some areas in the fandom (you know who you are..)

I'm aware that FNAF was never for kids, no matter how many elsagate vids were made on it. So it would make sense for it to have blood and gore. It definitely would've made scenes like the spring lock scene more traumatising to look back at

You know what else was expected to be more adult oriented? Cuphead's Netflix adaptation. While I understand that both of these beloved franchises could've been adapted to be more adult, it can also be noted that the Cuphead show is actually accepted by the fandom as while it did have a rocky start with S1, it showed that the writers were testing the waters to try something new, and by S2, they had a better idea of what they wanted, and a lot of people fell in love with it. While it would've definitely been cool to see more gore, it wouldn't improve the movie automatically

"The movie doesn't follow the original lore"

While, yes, it would've been cool to see all theories confirmed by Scott himself during the film, it's also good to remember this: they're called "adaptations" for a reason

Many popular franchises, when adapted to the big/small screen can experience changes in the known story and lore as a way to bring this fresh new start and perspective, they never aim to continue or tell the story again when it wasn't necessary in the first place (*cough cough* Lion King 2019). Last time I checked: Luigi wasn't the one who gets kidnapped by Bowser (SMB23), Cuphead never lost the right to his soul due to a carnival game (TCS), The Echidnas never had beef with freaking owls over the master emerald (The Sonic movies)

Let's be honest here, Scott may have made FNAF, but all the popular fan theories wrote the story, so everything is kinda messy. Maybe this was Scott's chance to rewrite everything, to start over and stray away from the messy lore that others made, MatPat seemed to be cool with it, he was even in the damn movie!

While, there have been times when repeating the same story makes it stale and repetitive (Disney), Changing important elements of the story (Also Disney) can make it unfaithful and pointless, so I understand that.

The changes that were made in this movie were interesting, making Vanessa, Afton's daughter could add more impact on the whole Vanny thing as she's been around this horrible man her whole life. Not making Mike, Abby and Garrett, Afton's children doesn't really deepen the personal connection and conflict between Mike and Afton so it'll be interesting to see how that one goes especially with Circus Baby now that Abby has no real connection to Afton other than that one encounter

Also I heard from one review that the movies take more inspiration from the books, but I don't have enough knowledge on the books to elaborate on that argument

Unless there's some weird twist, which is highly unlikely, I'd love to see how they develop these newly established dynamics if there are sequels being planned (pls make more, I need to see how this goes)

Besides, like I said, often, the first movies, seasons etc are there to experiment, it has the potential to improve in each new installment. For example, JJBA, it took until around parts 3-4 for Araki to have a better idea of what he wanted it to be.

Conclusion

That's about all I really have to say. I understand that many had high expectations going in and, who wouldn't? It shows we value ourselves and that we want to experience things that are worth our time. People are not obligated to love everything and don't have to agree with everything I said. I personally found the movie to be enjoyable and worth my time, and, while i know it lacked in some aspects, who knows?, as it progresses, opinions could change and if we get more of the revamped FNAF, then, we could see if it changed for the better or for the worse. And while first impressions do matter, it won't always be the same impression moving forward (for people who liked and didn't like the movie)

Alastor is Valentino because of the strawberry pimp au. He's still aroace but he sees how lucrative sex work is. Still a cannibal and keeps his best toy in check with threats of becoming his next meal.

Nifty is Velvette because Radiohusk being her chaotic older brothers will never not be funny. Plus, Nifty being sassy and tech savvy kinda tracts.

Husk is Vox because the interaction between him and Angel would be hilarious. Plus, enemies to friends to lovers Huskerdust

The Hotel Staff:

Sir Pentious takes on Angel Dust's role. He is contracted to Alastor and receives a shitton of mental abuse and fears Alastor. He's at the Princess's hotel for free room and board and nothing else.

Angel Dust is the Radio Demon or The Black Widow in this AU. He has the same terrifying reputation as Alastor but factor in the fact that he doesn't look like it to that terror. He acts the same in canon just with a little 1920s mafia flair.

Vox and Valentino taking on Nifty's role as a duo was a little thought gremlin I had. Like, they probably started dating before both made a contract with Angel Dust and have been stuck in the spider's web for decades. They're both still assholes and the most cumbersome of the souls Angel possesses. He doesn't get rid of them because of the power they provide him.

Cherri being Husk was a no-brainer. Cherri/Sir Pentious loser baby, she'd behave like husk and call Angel out on his BS and talk to him the same way husk talks to Alastor in canon and the idea that she bet her soul to her best friend during a game of poker while they were both drunk has been in my brain since the show aired.

A Lot remains the same as in canon but with a little more chaos. Like Angel and Rosie being friends and spilling tea. Angel and Husk's hate boners for each other. Lucifer and Angel beefing over who is the best Dad (spoiler its not Angel).

I might do a part 2 because I have so many design ideas and interactions that are festering in my brain cavity.

I loved the opening monolog from our beautiful boy Raz and HIS DOODLES RAZ I LOVE YOU

I was in awe of the graphics and controls, THE SELECTION SCREEN WAS SO COOL AND JUST DOING STUFF IN THE OPENING SEQUENCE WAS FUN CAUSE IT WAS ALL POLISHED

That being said, as someone who's terrified of the dentist, I was. A little bit squicked out by the dental stuff in Loboto's head. Like the imagery and sounds? 10/10 from a design and interactive viewpoint but also. Eww.

thoughts/ramblings re ascended Astarion

(Act 3 spoilers)

I want to preface this by saying I completely understand why people would like or prefer this version and I have no beef with them, these are just my own opinions and feelings after playing through that route with a certain type of character

(I have not finished the final battle, but otherwise this run of the game is complete)

The only word I can really come up with to describe A!Astarion is ‘unsettling’. Which, imo, is exactly how it is supposed to be for a character who genuinely loved and cared about him and wanted to have their love reciprocated the same way.

I have to also extend a ton of credit to Neil Newbon, bc when he said he essentially “got to play two characters”, he was 100% correct and I think he nails both of them.

In terms of the way the sudden change in character felt, I would liken it to if you had a spouse who was kind of a smarmy bastard but otherwise not too horrible of a person - they had faults and you knew it, accepted them anyway. And then one day they get like…this huge promotion at work that changes their entire personality. Maybe they went from prison guard to prison warden, and prison guard!spouse was fine and could be put in their place when they got a little too cocky or power hungry, but prison warden!spouse will threaten to snap your neck for trying.

The particular character I was playing is the type who wouldn’t care about the ‘bad’ parts of him until that’s suddenly all he is. At that point, they realize they made a mistake, but they still love him and desperately want that love reciprocated so they will agree to his demands rather than leave/have him leave. An otherwise confident and independent takes-no-shit character who has one fatal flaw - a debilitating fear of abandonment.

They can see the change immediately, and it terrifies them, but they tell themselves that deep down there still has to be Astarion under there - the Astarion they came to know and care about. If they work at it, maybe they can coax that part of him to come back out. Until then, they will go along with his whims and let him change them too, because the alternative is even more terrifying.

He would be the significant other they frequently make excuses for to the other companions when they express concerns about the way he treats them and other people. And they’d tell themselves that he wouldn’t really hurt them, but at the same time they know that there would be consequences for defiance.

They would feel trapped, used, and owned. But that would seem like a fair price to pay to keep him, still clinging on to the person they used to know him as.

There would come a point where they would have to make that inevitable choice - whether to succumb further to the darkness he dragged them down in, or to stand up for their fate and break away despite how much the loss will hurt. I feel like it could come to a choice between killing him or being killed by him. And deep down, they would know that, even as they agree to let him turn them.

But when he goes on another one of his flowery spiels about how beautiful they are, how much he loves them, they let themselves believe it’s not all empty words despite knowing his ‘profession’ for 200 years was as a lying seducer. They’ve got to be different, they tell themselves. It will be different. Even when it’s not.

- Contrary to like, the pilot and Alastor comic, there was a lot less of Alastor terrifying the shit out of everyone with his presence. I wonder if this is because the people he's seen interacting with are a) The hotel peeps, who are largely a self-selecting group of people who are okay interacting with him, and b) other overlords. Anyway, "almost everyone is terrified of Alastor and he is deeply lonely" is still a very important part of this blog and his development and I'm not changing it.

- Alexa is not an overlord. I'm pretty sure that the team (or Viv?) had said that Alastor wasn't a proper Overlord because he doesn't hold territory, but he's very powerful. Not sure if the series will clarify further or if they've decided he's an overlord. Alexa will continue to not be an Overlord. He controls radio as a mechanism and has the only radio tower in the area but he doesn't control actual territory.

- I was expecting Vaggie and Alastor to butt heads way more haha! Vaggie was not malding as much as I expected!

- I had really hoped to see more Alastor/Angel chaos interaction, especially because we got some fun stuff out of the Hunicast. They seem to get along okay. Though it looks like Angel + Husk are getting pretty chummy and Husk has beef with Alastor

(and they like... paralleled Alastor to Valentino? Which is INSANE to me... listen Alastor sucks as a person, and having his freak ass own your soul can't be fun, but there is a MASSIVE difference between the circumstances that had Husk sign over his soul and Angel sign over his soul. Like one is overlord-on-overlord violence and the other is, like, exploitation of structural violence at minimum. "I'll make you a star, I'll make you rich" etc etc. And there's a MASSIVE difference between the abuse & control that Val does and Alastor doing Diet Labor Trafficking by voluntelling Husk as a bartender.)

so I do wonder in canon how Angel and Alastor COULD be friends if the implied parallel is Husk (or anyone) befriending Valentino. Girl that is insane.

Whatever, I am on the radiodust train until I mf die, Alastor/Angel besties train, chaos friends, I think the funniest possible development on this blog is that (after canonically pulling up to the hotel and being like "girl you are delulu. This is a dumpster fire. and I want front row seats" and Vaggie was like "this freak is going to ruin this project") that he clown tax evasion married the ONE RESIDENT. They went "we could make each other worse. we could make all of this worse" (they did not make each other worse but hell certainly suffers when they open their mouths)

- I've talked extensively in the past on this blog about abuse and how Local Alastor thinks a situation like Angel's should be handled and it's not like how Charlie does Lmao bless her.

- I thought it was so funny that Alastor was like "now I have to go to the tailor" bitch your coat was already raggedy and you came back with a raggedy ass coat.

- Also... Alastor behaved a lot more than I thought he would? He was pretty down to do the job of disposing of the egg bois, even humanely, like he didn't really put up too many fights! Idk he was a behaved manager. I think he is having a good time at the hotel. I love that for his freak ass

- I love how him doing freaky ass facial expressions/lighting is mostly like, Something He Does and most of everyone just kind of accepts it. He really is out here saying wild shit too. "I pulled some limbs too. Hahaha!" lmao yesss Alexa randomly saying morbid ass shit bc he didn't think it through how it comes off was definitely a Thing that's happened and will continue to happen.

and it's pretty versitle too, bc you can use it to encase enemies, aka make them fall asleep and stop attacking. but you can also use it to encase your allies, in order to protect them from attacks, just like what epel did earlier. and it fits epel !! like he does pick fights with others sometimes, but his strongest urge is to protect others from harm, and to be a shield, so the spell fits perfectly <33

also the spell itself,,, "your eyes will close, your breath will still, crimson slumber" aghhhhh !! i think it's 10x a better name than sleep kiss, bc the thing that woke snow white was a kiss, and the thing that put her to sleep was the apple hence "crimson slumber" ^^ well played on the localization team's part >:D

jamil, obviously he doesn't like being ordered around. if he was going to remake the world, it would be by his own hand, and not because someone more powerful is trying to get him to do it out of fear.

azul of course is thinking about the economy, he can't do business in a world that's overrun with phantoms,,,,he would lose his 10-year-business plan if all phantoms start invading the world.

and riddle, as always, talks about rules. it makes sense, bc ortho's trying to make new rules for the whole entire world that would only benefit two people, and riddle being the guy who lives by rules to help protect and guide people wouldn't accept that.

i fucken knew ittttt— last book 6 thoughts i pointed out how maybe grim's "full potential" was being hindered by his curse. maybe his curse is activated in the presence of blot density. bc he only went berserk after eating 5 blot stones, and then he went berserk again in STYX because the halls started filling up with strong blot fumes. so the curse might lift when he's surrounded by blot and he can access the normal magic reserves that direbeasts usually have.

OR grim can naturally digest blot...? maybe he can use blot like a mage can utilize their magic pool when he's berserk, which explains why he hasn't overblotted yet after eating 5 blot stones. and it lines up with them being unable to figure out his blot accumulation rate.

If Salem had any good relationships prior to the Nautiloid, he can’t remember, amnesia and all that. I do wonder what his relationship with Gortash was like – were they actually friends or lovers, or just really good business partners? The in-game dialogue makes it sound like they were thick as thieves.

5. Does your OC have a signature weapon and/or attack? How long did they train to master it?

In-game he uses that cool staff from Auntie Ethel’s lair, but I imagine him using a sickle or scythe as his main weapon. Something a bit gnarly and related to interaction with nature, but sinister. He also wears a boot knife. I don’t think he’d have any special training with them, just experience from living rough all his life and engaging in normal and definitely not illegal Dark Urge activities.

6. Does your OC know magic? Were they born with magical ability or did they train to acquire it? What is their favorite type of magic? Least favorite?

He was definitely born with some kind of dark magic, being who he is and all that. But the tiny little part of him that didn’t belong to his father was always drawn towards nature – both its orderly and chaotic sides. The cycle of life, death, decay, and rebirth. He learned folk healing, alchemy, and something much darker – necromancy. His favorite types of magic are the kind of magic he learns from the Circle of Spores – fungal rot and necromancy – and oddly enough, healing. He doesn’t dislike any particular kind of magic, but dislikes wizards, if that counts.

He has a CVS receipt length list of enemies.

He has beef with Orin, possibly more than anyone else in the game, because, well, you know! And then there’s his father of course. I don’t think Salem would have ever been content to just let Orin go. They have history on top of history.

I’m not entirely sure about Gortash. Maybe they’re just enemies out of necessity? I’d love to know more about their canon relationship.

And there’s always Auntie Ethel. In the game, he kind of has to fight her, but in my canon, they’re petty rivals at worst.

Considering what the Dark Urge is, many many many experiences, repeated. The most stand out ones are probably meeting Vlaakith and subsequently waving nonchalantly, fighting the Netherbrain, and of course, being killed by one spiteful god only to be resurrected by another who saw good in him. That last one was altogether horrifying for him. That’s an experience he’d rather not repeat.

So the OP song is the same as last season but the visuals changed? I'm not too bothered by it but I would've loved another great song. The boys already looking so good too. Very excited to see more of Smiley and Angry and hopefully I can learn their names properly now.

Oh, that one captain of Toman whom I dunno the name of.. does he switch sides? That scene of him getting up from the chair with that pissed off look on his face ain't giving me good vibes.

I'm like 95% certain that Inui eventually cooperates with us while Koko doesn't and that moment with the both of them with the former disappearing from the latter's side sorta reinforces that idea in my mind.

Oh, yup, that Toman captain (Yasuhiro. I was good and looked him up) joins Tenjiku, with Sanzu right behind him too I think. I guess I should've seen that coming, which means Toman loses its fifth division captain and vice captain.

This fight looks insane already. My boy Chifuyu putting in work, Inui looking so unbothered while kicking ass and Kakucho nailing Takemichi with a heavy hit oh my god.. and that moment of Izana running up on Mikey with crazy eyes is definitely creepy.

I try my best to avoid spoilers, honestly, but Mikey and Izana have some sorta history, don't they? like, family related or whatever. And I'm so not looking forward to what may happen with Emma, if it happens this season.

Hehe, I shall pull from this chart! I'm going to go over the kids that dislike eachother and the mortal enemies first but if you'd like I'll make a "it's complicated" addition, I won't be going over ones that are well known like James and January's beef

Truly, they all LOVE each other but those of you who have siblings know how it can be sometimes, you may love your siblings a whole lot but really really dislike the way they choose to act.

Dislikes

Jolyene and Janet and Judah (combining them because it's mostly for the same reason)

This moreso has to do with the way Janet and Judah interact with JEAN, while usually someone like Jean would annoy her the two have a very close bond and she trusts Jean more than anything. This often involves giving her responsibilities and errands to do that are incredibly helpful for the things Jolyne gets up to. The problem comes in with the way Janet and Judah distract her. Janet loves playing devils advocate almost as much as she genuinely is interested in the conspiracy theories that Jean comes up with. There have been many times Jean has completely forgotten about something she was going to do for her sister because she got caught up in defending a theory that makes less and less sense the deeper you go. With Judah its the exact opposite and Jean will take up all of his and Jolynes time rambling since he's perfectly willing to let him go on and on and on.

January and Julian

Julian really strives like to be his father and brothers, so he often emulates their behavior. He's a misogynist, an asshole, and puts his sense of humor above all else. He TRIES to be manipulative. Except he fails at these things horribly because...of some personal things that would be spoilers to reveal as of now. You know how sometimes you guys make jokes about Suzy and Andrew Tate? 😂 Yeah, Julian actually would watch him and his gaggle of goons. (This is why he's the least favorite kid, lol) Unlike his father and brothers who do have SOME respect for the women in their lives, or at least love, even if it manifests horribly; Julian hasn't seem to have gotten the memo and thinks he's better at everything just because he has a dick. While her sisters and mother mostly just make their view of him as pathetic clear, January seems to think she can argue him out of his position. Julian feels a sense of fulfillment and dominance from these interactions, proving that women ARE just more emotional, despite the fact January frequently terrifies him and could beat him to a pulp. These two can't be left alone with each other, but this is under dislikes because he copes and seethes a lot more about it than she does.

Joy and Jean and Judah (ditto)

Its simple really, both Jean and Judah have destructive special abilities and they are both very impulsive. Even though Jean is a bit more aware of her surroundings Joy still fears that they might cause damage to the nature they live around.

Jasper and Jill

Jill loves cooking so who better to learn from than the woman who cooks all their meals! Jasper is deeply protective over his mother almost moreso than say James for example, being a snowball he has a stronger chemical connection to her as the person who esentially saved his life and part of how he sees his family members comes from being a clone of his father. That's a lot of words for: He's an uber mommy's boy and Jill takes her attention but he knows he has no justifiable reason to be mad.

Mortal Enemies

James and Janet

Janet is quite possibly the only person in the entire family who isn't at least a little afraid of James in some capacity. She likes bothering people in general, but with James, it's actively malicious since...well, he deserves it. Sometimes, when James is tormenting one of their other siblings, she'll purposefully pick a fight with him to give them a chance to flee. Even if she knows she's wrong, she likes to pick at the things he says and pretend he's secretly insecure, true or not it manages to get under his skin, which isn't easy to do. A stranger is a stranger, but she's family. Unfortunately, sooner or later, almost all the Frosts fall in line, and because of her own vices, she is no different.

Jane and Journey

This is another completely one sided thing lmao

It started out as a very selfish and insecure thought process on the part of Jane. She thoroughly believed that having somebody around who could remember practically anything they were told was going to be a severe threat to her place in the family thus she treats Journey as a rival. Of course, she was ignoring that the people who saw value in her couldn't care less how much Shakespeare she had memorized. Still, most of the time she interacts with Journey its through sarcasm and mean snippy responses. Weirder still, her actions don't usually match her words. She says it's for the good of snowcietys "mental and intellectual health," that Jane helps Journey but something tells me that Jane just can't bring herself to genuinely leave a fellow academic hanging. It's a very """begrudging""" relationship.
