ROWENA
Please. An angel of the Lord, the King of Hell, more power than I could possibly dream of, utterly wasted, shattered at the altar of Winchester. I may be the one in chains, but the two of you are just as much a prisoner as I. It saddens me. No, it totally sickens me, to see so much power go unspent. So much glory unclaimed.
CASTIEL
Glory? Oh, I've seen glory. And I've seen defeat. But I have seen the glory. I have won epic battles, and I have reaped vast rewards. And none of it has meant as much to me as the relationships that I've formed on Earth. Sam and Dean? They are like a family to me. Claire Novak... When she smiled at me? Nothing, no--no angelic crusade, or victor's bounty, none of that could ever hold a candle to that sweet (chuckles), crooked smile.
Its moments like these that really puts how much Castiel gave up for Humanity and Dean and Sam into perspective. I wish they'd kept this scene in the episode, it gives so much depth to his character.
“…and you will turn. Everyone you know, everyone you love, they could be long dead.”
“Everyone except me.”
S10EP22 “The Prisoner”
This line makes me so insane not only because of the idea of it happening, but precisely because it’s not happening. He’s wrong and Dean knows he’s wrong. Because Cain already told him his destiny:
“Have you ever mused upon the fact that you’re living my life in reverse?” “…and then you’d kill the Angel Castiel now THAT ONE. That, I suspect, would hurt something awful.”
He’s living Cain’s life in reverse. And he’d kill Cas, like Cain killed Colette. Not only was Cas (supposedly) not going to live, he’s going to die by Dean’s hands and Dean knew this. As he grabs Cas by the tie and points the blade towards him, Dean knew this. As Cas holds on to his arm and asks him to stop the same way he was told Colette asked Cain, Dean knew this. And he tries to deny it and he tries to ignore it but his guilt reminds him even in his dreams.
“Looks like you’ve got an admirer.”
“You sure it ain’t you?”
S10E23 “Brother’s Keeper” (deleted scene)
Cas was supposed to die just like that and Chuck would’ve probably skimmed over it like it was nothing so he could focus on his favorite part of the story, the brothers. And he couldn’t achieve it this time but ultimately, it’s what happens at the end of the story.
Both times Dean is referred to as Sam's man in the latam dub. Just because I can screen record now <3
"Loyal, stubborn Sam who, I suspect, will never rest until he sets his brother free. Will never rest until his man is free of the Mark."
"Sammy! Hey. And... your man?"
"Here."
I genuinely believe there was an error with the translation script or something in that first one because those lines are MESSY. That ellipsis does not belong there. "Sospechó" is not the same as "sospecho" and the voice actor is clearly struggling trying to make it make sense. The delivery is just. Weird. I don't know.
with the "silliest spn weapon" poll going around, i feel the need to inform/remind everyone once again that sam was literally the one who invented the witch killing bullets
so watching supernatural with my family, this is their first time watching it in full. here’s some recent highlights:
Dad to me, “is your heart palpitating yet?”(From the episode where Dean goes back to the 1940s, an era of clothing that I’m OBSESSED with and a man I find VERY HOT, and he walks out of the changing room in 40s clothes… I mean, yes. My heart was going crazy)
From the scene where Dean destroys that motel room, “He’s not get his deposit back!”
“Marmaduke! You crazy” He hasn’t stopped quoting that one line Garth says while reading the newspaper… it’s been weeks
Mom screaming at the TV, “You can’t kill Dean! That’s the love of your life.” (From that episode where Hannah asks Cas to kill Dean to prove his loyalty to heaven)
“So, were Dean and Benny together?”
Walking away, not finishing her thought, “I mean Dean is bisexual.”
“Oh my god, he just did a fucking Deadpool!” (when one of the Styne’s ripped off his own arm to escape the bunker)
“DEAN HENRY WINCHESTER!” (I told her some people use Henry for Dean’s middle name since he doesn’t have a canonical one and she has been yelling that at the tv whenever Dean does something bad or fucked up)
My brother, “Dean looks like he’s constantly mewing”
Also he was ABSOLUTELY DYING FROM LAUGHTER AT DEMON DEAN’S YELLING WHEN HE THROW HIS HEAD BACK FROM THE BLOOD CURING
Also from the season 10 finale where Dean absolutely destroys that motel room, he started laughing as soon as the scene came up “I still have that gif on my phone!”
Background: This is the preferred order of watching spn where only Castiel and Crowley interactions matter. Enemies to frenemies to friends.
see link for the original idea by @crowley-the-1-true-king-of-hell. "Since this is only about THEIR interactions, everybody else is furniture and don't have to make sense" and you can fill in the blanks about what could have happened between the episodes.
Previous Episode: Executioner's Song; Next Episode
Episode 22: Brother's Keeper (Part 1)
Crowley gave Cas an angry outburst after he was betrayed by Castiel's human friends in previous episodes.
Cas understood Crowley's hurt feelings, and he readily backed down.
Cas put a dramatic flair into his begging, and it pleased Crowley.
