Ohhh I haven’t seen any of those comments but I am rolling my eyes at them either way. Idk why people always need to be like “he looks drunk/high/tired” or whatever else (no jab to you saying he looks tired at all btw, just my general opinion).

Like idk about anyone reading this but people always think I look tired or sick or mad or sad or annoyed (I seem to escape the drunk or high accusations mostly) when I’m feeling normal so seeing people jump on these things without having a single clue what they’re talking about is kind of annoying to me.

Unless you saw him beforehand doing said thing, you don’t know shit <3 I don’t care how many drunk people you’ve seen in your life or how well you can clock if someone’s high because you are so experienced on the matter. It’s just weird to me to point it out 😬

i’m sorry, i can’t lie, i know some people think this trope is all very girlboss, but i personally am not a fan lol.

krios: not much difference to how xe usually reacts to someone flirting with mc. knows mc was only flirting for attention, so xe keeps them by xyr side for the rest of the night and pays them all the attention they want.

rune: they wouldn’t appreciate this at all. once they and mc got together, they stopped flirting with anyone else and refused to allow people to flirt with them. they won’t play mc’s game.

ez: bad move. ez wouldn’t play mc’s game either, and they wouldn’t hesitate to let them know how much they didn’t like what mc did. if mc continued to do it, that would be a deal breaker for ez.

aren: oh? mc likes to play? well two can play that game. will dissolve into a competition between mc and them about who will break first. aren would later unalive the person they were flirting with, and well…punish mc.

me, writing this: i can condone murder and possessiveness, but i cannot condone making your partner jealous on purpose!

i like to think that both things can be true. that laurent did love damen and he didn't. which is so confusing and complicated because neither damen nor i understand how that could be true. how you could be with someone for a while and end it all just like that.

or maybe im just being hopeful? laurent loved him in a way that made him have to break up with damen because he knew he was causing damen suffering. a suffering damen didn't even know he was going through yet. and the reverse was true. that damen was also causing laurent suffering and damen didn't know that either, or at least he thought he didn't.

and to watch someone you love suffer because you don't love them enough or you don't love them in the way they deserve... doesn't that just hurt you both in the end?

so laurent did love damen. and he meant it when he said he wanted to be friends. because he loved damen.

but can they really be friends when damen would have to act so differently with him and everything was never going to be the same ever again. and damen would have to convince himself and laurent that he didn't want more.

i like to think that laurent loved damen so much that it hurt him that he couldn't give what damen was silently asking for, even if damen didn't know he was asking for it.

maybe sometimes you love people in different ways. and sometimes it's too much and sometimes it's not enough.

and if you really did love someone... you would never want to be the reason they're hurting, right?

i hope laurent loved damen. i think laurent still loved damen.

Anon I have a ton of The Locked Tomb headcanons that I like but regretfully none that are mine. Whenever I think too hard about the like complex, interconnected, cross-book character and POV and worldbuilding and lore and mythology stuff in that series my brain just starts vibrating and no coherent thoughts come out lol

When Jod said mistakes don't happen to someone as careful as him? I think my brain exploded. Legitimately threw the book across the bed and started hollering.

In short: Many headcanons, none I can articulate, Harrow is definitely a resurrection beast, Ianthe has met god and is not fucking impressed, the fact that all the tumblr references are textually canon accurate/supported/explained sometimes makes me just burst into giggles
