Life as a member of the Straw Hat Pirates was never bland. Sometimes you would wake up in the middle of a fight against the marines, or wake up to the sound of Sanji fighting Zoro over something stupid again. Nevertheless, everyday was a new adventure with its own sets of challenges, but nevertheless, you wouldn’t ask for another life.

After all, you were the future King of the Pirates’ girlfriend.

You loved Luffy more than Luffy loved meat, and you stood behind that bold claim. Everyday was filled with adrenaline and anxiety for you, as Luffy would find charging recklessly into battle the best thing to do. He always came out alive; he’s Monkey D. Luffy after all, but you always worried about his health and wellbeing. With enough cuddles and kisses, Luffy would always subdue your worries about him, but it always was a thought in your head that chewed at you. Another thing was that Luffy was a very passionate boy. Sure, he may be an airhead and a bit obtuse at times, but he had his own paradigm of morals he followed, and you respected the hell out of him for that. He always thought about you, considered your feelings, always putting your life in front of his.

He was the most caring person you knew.

He would never do anything to break your heart.

“I’m kicking you out of the Straw Hat Pirates.”

You stared at him, your heart dropping. Your legs began to wobble, barely able to support your body as you stared at him with a look of disbelief, a hesitant smile on your face.

“W-What are you saying, Luffy? Luffy, this isn’t a funny joke!” You say. Everyone around you began to stir too, once they heard Luffy’s words. All of you were in the galley, just finishing your breakfast.

“You heard me.” Luffy stared at you with the blankest look he’s ever given to you; you didn’t even know he could be that stoic. “I’m kicking you out of the crew. You’ll get off once we reach the next island. Oi, Nami, how long until we reach the next island?”

Nami stood up in disbelief and complete anger, storming towards Luffy as she smacked him on the back of his head, to the point Luffy stumbled and fell onto the ground. “What are you talking about Luffy?! This isn’t a funny joke! You can’t just kick Y/N out!”

Luffy simply stood back up, looking at Nami. “Yes I can. I’m the captain.”

“She’s your girlfriend!” “Oh. Right.” Luffy stared at you. “We’re breaking up too.”

“Luffy!” Nami smacked him again.

“W-Wha.. W-wha..” You stammered, your legs going wobbly, probably going out if there wasn’t a reassuring hand on your shoulder.

“Luffy, I don’t think this is the smartest decision to make. Can you explain your thoughts? You cannot simply kick Y/N out for no reason other than ‘I just can.’” Robin said, placing both of her hands on your shoulders, trying to reassure you.

“Yes I can, Robin. I’m the captain.” Luffy stated again.

“That’s not a good reason. By that logic, you can kick any one of us out at any moment simply by your mood.”

Luffy stared at the archaeologist, clenching his teeth. “Shut up, Robin, this is my decision.”

The sound of pans hitting each other silenced the room, turning everyone’s attention to the cook. Sanji stared at Luffy, taking his cigarette out of his mouth. “Oi, Luffy, don’t tell Robin-chan to shut up. You’re being very impolite. And I agree with Robin-chan, you cannot simply do what you want based on your mood. That means all of us are liable to just go at any moment.”

Luffy balled his fists. “Shut up, Sanji! I don’t need to explain myself! I’m the captain! Next island! You’re getting off! If I see you on the ship, I’ll… I’ll…”

Luffy let out a frustrated noise, stomping towards the exit of the galley. Before he could swing the door open and slam it, a single blade with a white handle blocked him.

“Luffy…” Zoro said, keeping the Wado Ichimonji in between the captain and the door. “If you walk out this door, that means everything Robin and cook says are true. A captain that kicks out his crew members based on his mood. If this is all a joke to you, cut it out. Go apologize to Y/N. If this is not a joke, then you were never fit to be a captain. I don’t care if you’re an airhead and easygoing, but if you decide to kick Y/N out right now because ‘you said so’, the Straw Hats were never meant to be a successful crew.”

Luffy glared at Zoro, his fists and toes clenched. Zoro shot back the same stoic look he always had. While Zoro was calm and still, Luffy looked like a dynamite about to explode. His body was shaking, his skin turning red. It wasn’t Gear 2 level red, quite close.

“Fight me if you want to. You’re only proving my point.” Zoro added.

Silence filled the room. Silence that was so fragile, you were scared that if it broke, everyone would be affected and harmed.

“L-Luffy…” You call out with a shaky voice, taking a hesitant step towards the boy you onced called your lover. Breaking the silent atmosphere caused all eyes to be on you. But with Robin’s hand on your shoulder, she stopped you from moving any further, keeping you close to her body.

“Y/N… please, let us do this.” Robin said. You looked around, and realized she was right. Every Straw Hat looked like they were ready for a fight, or to make some comment about Luffy’s statement.

“N-No.” You brushed Robin’s hand off of your shoulder, taking a bigger step towards the ‘captain’ of the ship.

“Luffy… look at me.” While your entire body was shaking, filled with disbelief, sadness and a tinge of betrayal, your voice was firm.

You watched the captain turn his head around, the straw hat covering his eyes.

“Is this what you want, Luffy? Do you want to see my heart break? Do you want to see me cry, luffy? because it is, and I will. Is this what you want, luffy? to see your girlfriend cry? Is that what you want?”

No response.

“Fine… fine… this is what you want, isn’t it? You never loved me. You never saw me like I saw you, if you’re so adamant on kicking me out.”

No response.

“Tell me, Luffy, is this what you really want? Tell me, and I'll leave. I'll go, and I won't come back. That's what you want, isn’t it? to never see me again?”

No response.

You scoff at the boy, whose body was shaking, his head hung and fists clenched. You wiped your tears with your arm, staring at the boy you once called your lover.

“Fine. I hope you’re happy, captain.” you brushed your shoulder against him, purposefully making him stumble before storming towards the door. Zoro sheathed his sword, letting out kick the door open and slam it shut.

“Y/N, wait!” Nami cried, running towards the door. Zoro let her pass too, as well as Robin and everyone else who wanted to comfort you. This left Luffy alone with Zoro, all at his mercy.

At the sound of the door finally closing, Luffy collapsed onto the ground, his knees hitting the wooden floorboards as he sobbed. He sobbed and cried, until there was nothing but small hiccups and grunts of frustration.

“Now, do you want to tell me what’s really happening?” the right hand man asked.

“She hates me. She hates me. She hates me.” the captain repeated to himself.

“Luffy.”

The boy took a deep breath, before standing up, meeting Zoro's gaze.

“Alright, i’ll tell you… but don't tell anyone else, okay?”

“Just tell me.”

The captain took a deep breath. “Yesterday…”

Desc : Some general headcanons regarding Gaz because I love him akdhsodga

A/N : gaz is also my bbg i do not take criticism

Kyle “Gaz” Garrick :

Probably likes rom-coms (there’s just something so entertaining about them to him + the two of you could watch them together when he’s off duty)

Cherishes any and all gifts he gets, from you or from the team, even if they’re not really his style or something he really likes (it could be a terribly drawn picture from someone’s kid and he’d probably keep it in a desk drawer or pin it on his wall— if you got him a mug, it’s probably the only one he’d use from then on tbh)

Despises getting up early and is one of those people that sets an alarm an hour or two before he actually has to wake up with the idea of “i’ll just get up earlier, it’s alright” and then proceeds to turn them off when they start going off and sleeps in until he actually has to wake up (either that or he’s one of those people that just repeatedly snoozes them— can you imagine sleeping next to him and every 5 minutes you just hear his alarm going off and at that point, you’re more awake than he is)

To be completely honest, you’d probably have to wake him up yourself so you don’t have to listen to those god forsaken alarms for the new hour or so LMFAO

Doesn’t mind if you take some of his clothes and in fact, you may end up losing some of your t-shirts and pullovers to him too. It’s safe to assume both of your wardrobes are a mixture of your respective clothes and then the other’s (he’ll probably still poke fun at you though if he sees you wearing a pair of his sweats or a crewneck of his)

he owns a pair of sonic slippers, no i don’t take criticism (it’s 10x better if the two of you have matching pairs but it’s also cool if you have tails, knuckles, amy, etc.)

He’d absolutely stay up and have weird existential talks with you at (given he doesn’t have to get up super early) and in fact, he may even be the one to start it. Like, it could be pitch black, completely silent except for some small movements and you could ask him, “would you still love me if I was a worm?” And he’d probably roll over to look at you before going, “would you still love me if I was a worm?” (it’d probably just spiral from there)

Makes sure to bring you breakfast if and when possible (he has some of your favorite orders saved in his notes in case he forgets, which he does more often than not— he just has a lot on his mind sometimes so when it comes to your order he just blanks)

I feel like he can’t differentiate sarcasm and seriousness sometimes, especially if the person he’s talking to sounds like they’re being genuine when they’re not (ie. the whole conversation regarding how laswell and price met)

He hugs for a long time sometimes, especially when he has to leave for a bit (it’s the type of hug where neither of you want to let go and you’re just kind of swaying side to side)

Often buys you things he thinks you’ll like when he’s out or deployed (you now have a collection of snow globes from different countries, various mugs, some keychains and some more stuff you can’t even remember— it’s impressive, really)

Has a large collection of overwear, (windbreakers, pullovers, coats, etc.) He doesn’t even know how he got this many, it just kind of happened one day (but at least he has a jacket for every and any occasion 🤷)

So I watched She Hulk to see if it was as bad as everyone was saying. Thoughts under the cut. (Spoilers yes I'm going to be critical lol)

Things I liked

- I did enjoy the part in the beginning where Jennifer was practicing her closing argument. Sticking up for the little guy, in a case where it seems a big business caused the deaths of some innocent people. The kind of thing I admire in a hero *looks at Steve Rogers* and the kind of thing that ordinary people, ordinary lawyers, can accomplish in their daily lives.

- The scene where Jennifer wakes up disheveled and bloody and a bunch of women swarm her to help her out in the bathroom of a bar was pretty sweet.

- Bruce reminiscing about Tony. The Bruce/Tony friendship was strong in this episode. Tony built Bruce’s hideout in Mexico, and he has Tony’s cracked helmet with him, and the BB+TS carved into the wooden bar that Bruce built himself. Very sweet.

Things I did not like

- The CGI looked terrible. Professor Hulk looked better than She Hulk, who looked like a thinner, taller version of Fiona’s ogre form from Shrek.

- After a strong character introduction, Jennifer immediately goes into ranting about Steve’s virginity to Bruce during a drive 🙄 I never read the comics, but I heard that Jennifer’s original story had her becoming She Hulk because Bruce transfused his blood into her when she was dying from a car crash from tangling with a crime boss. They changed that to Jennifer was so engrossed in telling Bruce how much of a virgin Steve Rogers was before he died that she failed to see a spaceship in front of her car and crashed it. (Really, Disney?) She got a few drops of blood from Bruce into a cut on her arm when she was trying to save Bruce from the car crash. Minus a thousand points for the obsession with Steve’s virginity, but I give them points for her saving Bruce 🤷

- The hulk fight between Bruce and Jennifer was boring and totally unnecessary imho

- Jennifer constantly dismissing Bruce’s advice? I get that she’s a lawyer with a life and a big trial coming up, but maybe show a little more sympathy for a guy who had to wrestle with becoming a giant green death monster and being hunted by his own government for years?? I am not minimizing how difficult it is to be a woman just existing in society, but I also do not think she should have dismissed Bruce’s suffering and experiences so easily.

- Speaking of, isn’t Thaddeus Ross going to come after Jennifer now? She’s a Hulk and he’s all about controlling the Hulk. Where is Ross, anyway? Maybe he’ll show up in a later episode?

- The episode ends with Jennifer, again, crying about Steve’s virginity. Fucking why??? It’s creepy and gross. If a male character did that with a female character you would see how gross and unfunny that is. “OH IT’S JUST TRAGIC THAT NATASHA DIED A VIRGIN BECAUSE SHE HAD A GREAT ASS” BITCH PLEASE!

Things that made me lol

- Apparently Tony would get drunk and complain about Steve. (So were they really good friends? Civil War I’m looking at you 🙄)

Things I was meh about

- The fourth wall breaking. Is this another Deadpool situation? Do we need one? If Deadpool and Jennifer appear together, are they both going to break the fourth wall with each other? 🤷

- Hulking out from being catcalled-- I feel like this is a wish fulfillment fantasy for a lot of women? If I was in that situation I think I would have liked to become a giant green monster too lol.

Things to think about

- Jennifer’s closing argument in the beginning was basically a refrain of “with great power comes great responsibility.” Then she gets Hulk powers and Bruce says that she needs to become a superhero and save the world. I mean, sure, but I don’t think she needs to be a superhero? She’s doing heroic things already while being a lawyer? The important thing is not hulking out and destroying things because she can’t control herself. And also not letting the government disappear her :P

Fun fact

- My best friend, who is a lawyer, told me that if they were the defense attorney, they would have immediately called for a mistrial, because there is no way the jury could be impartial after having their lives saved by the prosecuting lawyer. Maybe the showrunners should have consulted a lawyer 😂

Conclusion

- Very underwhelming. I think that if you’re a casual MCU fan who wants something more lighthearted you might enjoy it. But if you think/care about the characters and their backgrounds in more depth you probably won’t. If I continue watching this, it will be to see how the lawyer thing goes, but given that the showrunners themselves said they weren’t good at writing lawyer procedurals, I think they’re going to keep disappointing me 😂

Yo, this was a ride. Also, what even is it’s name? doudemoiiyo used Ingasei no Baiser, other sites used Ingasei no Beze, and some used Ingase no Beze. That really reads as Beze so I’m going to use Beze now. I’ll be updating my January post later. 👍

I didn’t really catch it when I was translating the synopsis. I thought that this was just going to be a boy-meets-boy kind of plot and it kinda was to an extent, but to think that it would actually involve time travel and...accidents which cause people to have powers like static? Is Minamoto some kind of mutant? That’s right folks, time travel and mutants! This is some Marvel bullshit right here. And I listened to this right around the time I watched End Game. 😂 I WATCHED THE FIRST SCREENING FOR YOU, BENEDICT! AND THEY ONLY GAVE YOU A FEW MINUTES!? Doesn’t help the fact that I was also reading Laily’s Capsule Collection: Tales of Magic, of Sorrow, Joy and Love! Please read this! It’s so amazing and I’ve always been a ThorKi shipper, but OH MY GOD THE WAY STEPHEN JUST LOVES LOKI IS TOO MUCH FOR MY FRAGILE KOKORO. GET YOU A MAN! 😭😭😭

Okay, back to the main conversation.

It’s been a hot minute since the last time I’ve listened/read something like this (it has a manga). This kinda reminds me of the Shortcake no Ichigo Sawaranaide and Yesterday wo Kazoete BLCDs, especially the latter. I don’t wanna spoil too much because this has a manga and I think there’s a good chance that someone might work on this because it’s an easy clean, but if you’ve listened to those CDs then expect similar feels (or less because it wasn’t that painful). OH MY GOD YESTERDAY WO KAZOETE CASTED OKITSU AS A SEME. OKITSU, Y U ALWAYS HURT ME???? 😭😭😭 For members of the audience who only read manga, then you might be familiar with Aruku’s Kimi no Yume o Mite Iru - this is the closest I can think of since it also involves dreaming and time travel and tragedy, whoops. *remembers Kimi no Yume o Mite Iru *bursts out crying

Now that I think about it, it is quite similar to Kimi no Yume. To an extent I would dare call sketchy even. 🤔 I did like/enjoy this as a plot, but I was also on the fence about how Kajihara fell fast for Minamoto (maybe he didn’t the first time? I’m not sure, though) and he just kisses Minamoto without forewarning because he knows that it’d be like nothing ever happened in the end. That’s unfair and he can totally press assault charges on you. 😑 And though I loved Koyama as a character, he felt a little shady and it felt like he knew too much. 🤷 Appreciate the support, though. 👍

Perfect plot execution and voice work here, my friends. There weren’t any notable additions nor cuts in the BLCD so I can definitely vouch for the accuracy -- of the first volume. 😂 The BLCD covers both volumes, but I only managed to find the first volume’s raws. I was basically on my own when the second volume started and the whole time travel thing fucked me up so I had so re-listen to the CD twice. 😂 As long as the first volume is concerned, I can say that it is definitely possible to listen to the CD while reading the manga. Here’s to the hope that somebody picks it up in the near future. 👍

It’s been such a long time, Okitsu! 😭😭😭 The last time I heard you bottoming was in KASHIKOMARMIASHITA, DESTINYYYYYYYYYYY *screams *chokes *dies. I forgot that his voice could even go this high (since I’ve heard nothing but seme roles for the past year). It’s not only his bottoming voice, but this might just be the highest speaking voice he’s ever used. The same is true with Ono Yuuki. He sounds very comfortable in this pitch and though I’ve said in my Nights Before Night how do I even type this title without crying??? review that I personally prefer his Kagami tone over anything, this tone was well welcome in my ears. It’s about Junta range, but I certainly love this more than I would ever love Junta. 😂 This is also not the first time Ono Yuuki and Okitsu have worked together and you may be thinking, “Coyote, duh.”, but Ono bottomed that time. I’m talking about Toiki wa Yasashiku Shihaisuru. I don’t actually remember what went down in that BLCD since it was released in 2015 OH MY GOD I’M SO FUCKING OLD, but I’m pretty sure that it’s part of a series that I think I enjoyed.

It’s in a series with Shizuka ni Kotoba wa Yureteiru and Shizou ga Fukaku Hazeteiru. If I remember correctly, I liked one of those a lot or maybe Toiki wa was the one I’m talking about. Idk. 🤷 What am I even saying? I don’t think it was that notable so I don’t remember how they sounded then. Sorry for throwing y’all into a loop. 😂 ANYWAY, POINT IS, they really sound like they’ve done this shit before. They sync with each other perfectly even. I guess it’s time to call them veterans now? It may be a little bit too early for Ono Yuuki, but it’s been a long time calling for Okitsu. 😭😭😭 👏👏👏

That’s about it for this review. I highly recommend listening to this and also reading the manga. It’s not a new concept, but this concept has only been used so many times. Again, this is another work that was completely deserving of the adaptation that it got. I was hyped about this when I first saw it, but I didn’t expect it to deliver. This is the best BLCD in this log (sorry, Secret xxx. But you cut my Shizuma-kun out) and it’s definitely in the running for 2019's best BLCD in my book. 👍
