they translated it differently between these two scenes, but theyre saying the same thing (itterasshai) in both. which, according to ram (and the meta by extent), means that for the entirety of rezero naoko's last "take care" to her son is still in effect

Getting Drunk with One Piece Men
sabo, ace, law, zoro, sanji
A/n: Ngl writing drunk characters is my bread and butter. Idk man. It's just how I am.
Content: gender neutral except female pet names in Zoro's
SABO
Tumblr media
Y'all become idiot 1 and idiot 2, honestly you might even fight over who gets to be idiot 1
Koala's so tired of y'all omg this poor woman deserves a vacation from the two of you
You can drink him under the table, he's such a lightweight
I'm so sorry to tell you your man's a wanderer. At least once you're going to turn around and say "where'd Sabo go????" Half of your night might be spent looking for him
Despite being drunk Sabo's still a gentleman, you two are gonna stumble down the street arm and arm, he'll walk on the outside of the sidewalk closer to the street to keep you safe, and he likes getting your drinks for you
He drinks sugary drinks and will have a HORRIBLE hangover in the morning
He's not necessarily an angry drunk but he is a loud argumentative one, when he inevitably wanders off you're going to find him loudly arguing on behalf of the revolution and shit talking the world government to anyone that listens and to anyone who won't
You're also going to give each other increasingly stupid dares and stunts throughout the night
Gets affectionate as the drunkness gets closer to tiredness and then he turns into a cuddly man baby
Y'all also both crash pretty unceremoniously. Hack is going to find you two curled up in a coat closet together with a random dog and a dick drawn on your face???
ACE
Tumblr media
two words: GOOFBALL ALERT!! He's unserious normally but when he's drunk unless something really, really bad is going down, don't expect a serious response out of him
So LOUD!!
"Ace, why are you yelling? I'm right here."
"I'M YELLING???"
You're all of his impulse control for the night and if you don't have any either than good luck to Marco...
Will loudly brag about you to anyone who listens. Probably does a toast just because you exist and will probably say something he shouldn't
Please stay near him, he just wants you to be right next to him. If you're a wanderer you're gonna stress him out real bad and he's gonna start spiraling. He's just physically clingy, he's got his arms wrapped around you, his head resting on your shoulder, sitting on his lap would make him very happy. -10 personal space.
Lights a shot of liquor on fire and drinks it to impress you. Every. Single. Time.
Speaking of that he repeats SO MANY of the same stories he's told you before
Also wants to dance with you, you've got no option unless you absolutely hate it
Tells you he loves you once every 2 minutes. please say it back. Don't be surprise if he proposes to you a couple of times when he's drunk
Inevitably starts crying...the later it is the more likely it is to happen. Just be prepared to coddle him and be covered in snot before morning.
LAW
Tumblr media
First of all, it's gonna take a lot to get this man to actually drink. He's not a fan of being out of control. But he would do it, especially if someone told him he couldn't or told him not to
He also doesn't have the highest tolerance, the fact that he's tall is the only thing saving him from being a lightweight
You know he's drunk because he gets really expressive and talks with his hands a lot more.
I'm telling you this man is going to start talking about his coins. Fucking coins. And Sora. He's gonna out himself as a huge fucking nerd.
He's the most self aware drunk you've ever met. For the entire night he's fully aware of the things he shouldn't be doing/saying and still does them.
"I've had way too much, Y/N-ya. This is going to be awful."
*Gets another drink*
This also includes being all over you. If your relationship was a secret it's not anymore because he can't stop staring at you and keeps finding his way back to your side. And he does this thing where he keeps inspecting your hands and fingers??? He's captivated by them. You think he's trying to hold your hand without looking like he's holding your hand??? But it's kind of unclear????
The more I think about it the more I'm certain that drunk Law turns into a little weirdo.
If you touch him at all he's going to turn into putty, like his face is just gonna look like 🥴
Might start telling you secret dumb thoughts that he has or recalling good memories with Cora.
If Luffy or Kid is there he won't say no to a challenge, he doesn't say no anyway but it's so. much. worse.
He's gonna have to drink enough to put him to sleep or he's going to sober up and recall the horror of what drunk!Law was like
Please act like none of it ever happened. Please.
ZORO
Tumblr media
This man is gonna fall asleep.
Can Zoro even get drunk???
Well, hell froze over and he did. Somehow.
Drunk Zoro is surprisingly friendly, he even almost compliments Sanji which is WILD
Like he kind of has something nice to say about everyone worth saying something nice about
There's still something really intimidating about him especially if anyone makes you uncomfortable
Suddenly Zoro can't remember your name and only refers to you as "my girl" or "woman"
Honestly, he can't believe you're actually dating him and he'll tell you several times
Will probably say something like "damn, I keep forgetting how pretty you are. 'S fucking weird."
Teases you a lot. He's like a kid pulling your pigtails because he likes you. As soon as you do it back you're going to get a big reaction out of him though
"OI! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR???"
"NOT SO FUNNY NOW IS IT!!"
He might play fight with you lmao, be prepared to be manhandled because he's rough around the edges but man does he love you
Like I said...this man is inevitably going to fall asleep, hopefully you were done partying by that point because he's not letting go of you. You're stuck. Sorry. You're his new nighttime plushie.
SANJI
Tumblr media
Oh Sanji *long sigh*
He thinks he's being smooth but he's boderline incoherent when he's really drunk
He's gonna hype you up!! A LOT!!!!
Probably the most normal drunk because he's already a perv and being drunk doesn't make it that much worse
He can be a little petty though lol, not towards you but you might hear him muttering something here or there
Wants to take a bunch of pictures with you
Unfortunately over half of them are gonna be a blurry mess
Absolutely wants to dance with you
He's not drinking nasty alcohol
Honestly, he's kind of giving Brittany Broski in the sense that depending on what drink he has he's gonna gag
Sidenote: he could theoretically stomach it, Zeff didn't raise no bitch(/j) but why torture him??
So excited you exist??? Like for a moment he's gonna get philosophical and be in complete awe that the two of you exist at the same time and met??? How lucky can he be!!!?
Actually, drunk Sanji gets kind of deep after a while, especially when the two of you are alone
He's not gonna cook drunk. Big no-no. That's a hazard. But if you were drunk and hungry or wanted to sober up he'll make you a cup of coffee and something that doesn't require fire or a lot of knife skills
Would rather whisk you away somewhere quiet to be alone with you after a while. Like, he's not a wanderer per se, but he wants to be alone with you
Leans on you a lot when he's drunk
He might definitely be the little spoon that night, he gets so soft by the end of the night just hold him, okay?

This scenario has been living in my brain especially since I recently came home from a bad day of work and just had to watch my comfort movie so…
Imagine you’ve had a horrible, awful, no good day and come back to yours and Simon’s home. You get changed into your comfiest pajamas and flop onto the couch, turning on Netflix and scrolling through the endless lists of shows and movies for something to watch and settle on Pride and Prejudice (the 2005 version ofc). You’ve seen it more times than you can count but it's your comfort movie, so yes - you’re watching it again. Making yourself comfortable on the couch, you get about 5 minutes into the movie when Simon gets home from work. After your usual greetings and a peck on the lips you reach out for the remote to turn off the movie, assuming Pride and Prejudice isn’t exactly his cup of tea.
“What are you doing?”
“Just turning it - I know you don’t care for thi-”
“No, we’ll watch it”
You chalk this up to Simon understanding that you’ve had a bad day - that he’s willing to sit through anything for you. So he shimmies next to you on the couch, him sitting and you laying down, your feet resting in his lap.
You figure that Simon may slightly dissociate during the film as you can’t possibly imagine a man like him would find this kind of thing entertaining. You get further and further into the plot and, despite seeing it time and time again, find yourself giggling and kicking your feet at the infamous hand flex scene.
“What was that all about?” Simon is clearly confused, but amused by your reaction.
“The tension - the way he flexes his hand after touching hers - hell, the way he’s not even wearing gloves - you wouldn’t get it” you finally give up on trying to explain the definition of romance when you hear Simon chuckling at your ramblings.
But when you reach the confession scene, where Elizabeth and Darcy stand in the rain shouting at each other, Simon surprises you.
“The hell?” you hear a gruff voice say beside you.
“What?”
“What kind of confession was that? He just insulted her entire family.”
“Do my ears deceive me, or are you actually getting into this movie?”
“Never said I wouldn’t,” he scoffs.
“Well just keep watching!” you urge.
Throughout the rest of the film, Simon makes more comments. You do your best to hide your amusement - the movie clearly piqued his interest. You both watch as the rest of the story unfolds; Elizabeth touring Darcy’s estate, Lydia eloping with Mr. Wickham (“What a sorry sod that Wickham is.” Simon had said, which had you utterly rolling.), Bingley proposing to Jane, and finally - Darcy proposing to Elizabeth.
Since Netflix happens to show the american ending of the film (controversial, I know), you and Simon watch as the final scene folds out before you two. Tears threaten to spill from your eyes as you hear Kiera Knightley and Matthew Macfayden recite:
You may only call me Mrs. Darcy when you are completely and perfectly and incandescently happy.
And how are you tonight, Mrs. Darcy?
Simon pretends not to notice your glazed eyes as the movie fades to black. Sitting up and stretching with a groan, you look over at the clock realizing it was getting late, then back at Simon, “Well? How’d you like that?”
“S’alright” Ghost shrugs his shoulders
You scoff, “Yeah sure, that’s why you were glued to the screen.”
Simon chuckles and stands from his place on the couch, stretching as you did before turning back towards you. He outstretches a hand and gives you a small smile, “Ready for bed, Mrs. Riley?”

So like, since I’m doing my re-read, I’ve reached The Great Hunt and it’s got me thinking about that of the three Ta’veren boys, Mat is the only one who doesn’t get a pov in the first two books. His first pov is book three and while he definitely makes up for lost time I’ve been thinking about it.
So, when I first read Eye of The World and The Great Hunt and joked with my dad about how Mat was virtually a ‘damsel in distress’ for Rand in the first two books. And while it’s Funny I think the actual reasons I got that vibe is the lack of agency.
So Mat gets daggered very early on in the first book and throughout the Camlyn Road-trip Mat’s main purpose is to be something Rand can worry over or be frustrated by. In writing a character Pov is a major way of establishing agency since it turns the character into an active participant in the story and while it’s not the only way to do this as seen by characters like Morraine and Lan who don’t have povs in the first book either but are still active characters. This becomes especially apparent in book 2 where the major motivation for the boys to even go on the hunt for the horn was to get the dagger back for Mat, so much so that it’s readily established that Rand wouldn’t have gone on the hunt point blank if it wasn’t for Mat and the dagger; yet Mat still has no pov in this book despite being the one primarily affected by losing the dagger. Mat is more or less used as a plot hook in the first two books to force Rand into situations he otherwise would not be in. Such as what happened at Four Kings where Rand repeatedly wants to leave and suggests doing so but Mat insists on staying so they don’t have to sleep in the rain or in the case of the hunt, causes Rand to participate in the hunt with a life or death ticking clock. We don’t get any incite beyond Perrin and Rand noting Mat’s physically declining health, growing paler, losing weight and looking sickly as the book goes on. Mat of course doesn’t ever acknowledge it in dialogue because it’s Mat so we as an audience never get any incite into how Mat feels about the fact that he’s quite literally dying since we don’t have the benefit of his internal monologue.
Compare this to a the time where they subverted the ‘damsel in distress’ trope. with Egwene, there are three major plot lines in which she’s captured and we have povs for all three and in each of those events she still has agency. Even in the damane arc where she is quite literally stripped of her agency she still feels like an active character because we see her trying to defy the Seanchen, she’s not simply a plot device needing to be rescued she’s a character experiencing trauma. Even when Rand was put in the box he continues to evolve as a character and so did Faile during her time with the Shaido. All three had povs, all three were still actively participating in their situation, we knew exactly how they felt about the horrible things happening to them and see them deal with them in ways that show their characterization and growth.
Mat receives none of that. Not until the third book at least when he’s finally freed from the dagger.
So what’s up with that? Well, it’s possibly intentional. Okay so, the dagger of Shader Logoth and it’s Evil overwrites or at least tries to overwrite the person it’s possessing, that’s it’s curse, you become one with the dagger and one with Shadar Logoth. So up until the point Mat is fully healed from the dagger he is not really himself. Even after Morraine partially heals him, calming him down and keeping it from getting worse he’s still not fully Himself, as evidence by his memory loss. Partly it’s repression, but it was also the dagger overwriting his pre-exiting memories, his personality, everything that made him him. In the simplest of terms, Mat quite literally Wasn’t really his own character until book three, in many ways he WAS the dagger. An object with no personal agency but a catalyst for other characters.

Just thinking about how much the “ witcher gamer” community would HATE Ciri if there was a game with a book accurate version of her, she’s queer, shes fierce, wild and arrogant but becomes ruthless and a murder gremlin due to all her trauma, shes not traditionally attractive, has a huge disfiguring scar on her face
And she is the main character, even if she’s not the player character the entire narrative revolves around her
Oh yeah, it’s a thing on Reddit/FB groups where people often ask if Ciri is “sociopathic”/“psychopathic” or surprised that they find her very unlikable after reading the books, which is always kind of funny to me.
Throughout the series there’s a definite theme of girls/young women who experience a severe trauma and then fall into a hateful cycle, and only sometimes having a redemptive moment of realisation that they’re perpetuating the same cycle that enacted violence of them. I also think that this sometimes makes people extremely uncomfortable, because they really do fall far while in this cycle - Falka!Ciri is vicious and filled with hate and enraged. She’s traumatised, lost her childhood and has become a product of the awful things happening to and around her.
Even past that point in her story, people tend to give feedback that she’s bratty or overconfident or annoying and honestly. The entire series is from the ages of about 8-17 (I may be off by a few years here btw!!) for Ciri. Her entire formative years are marked by horrible and traumatising events. I think a lot of people fall into the idea of “good victims” - people who go through trauma and come out kind and sweet and helpful and that their experiences made them ultimately a better person. Which realistically…is not the case for most people.
I’ve also seen Reddit argue a lot that Ciri isn’t actually a bisexual/queer woman, based on the fact that her relationship with Mistle is abusive and often reads like Stockholm Syndrome. I don’t think Sapkowski has ever officially labelled her sexuality and has left it open to interpretation. For me, this feeds back into the points earlier: Ciri is heavily traumatised and she’s also extremely young when all of this is happening, so I can somewhat agree that a definitive read on her sexuality could be hard. However, despite the fact their relationship is extremely fucked up, Ciri does clearly develop feelings for Mistle, and actively mourns her as a lover and partner. Regardless of the start of that relationship, I think it’s naive to say that Ciri didn’t have very real feelings for her?
Also yeah, I can’t ever see Ciri being what is considered “traditionally” attractive. The scar across her face repeatedly is linked to being a giant ugly symbol of the loss of her innocence and childhood, and considering the timeline of care it receives, I don’t ever see it being a small thing even as she gets older. She also spends again, a considerable amount of her youth on the run, under extreme stress and in undesirable conditions, which isn’t exactly conducive to what most people consider attractiveness. Additionally, considering how she’s reduced repeatedly to a sexual object and objectified, I really can’t see Ciri running around with her chest out as per games.
Ciri is honestly such a fascinating and complex character and I do think it’s sad that you can’t really get all of that from the games due to the perspective + difficulties in portraying that through the given platform. I do always hope that more people read the books for Ciri alone, because I’m always excited for content that fleshes her out with that level of development ❤️

This may be a bit late, but I couldn't articulate my thoughts properly before. I wanted to tell you how good the page before last was, the one involving Ingo.
Up to that point the comic was a roller coaster of emotion as we watched Emmet, Zora, and Auntie Xena struggle to escape the caves and deal with starvation, sickness, and injury, ultimately leading Emmet to commit to sacrificing his own arm to feed the others. Once the climax was reached, things jumped all over the place, but I actually like how you did it. Instead of lingering to see the horrible aftermath, you cut ahead to when Zora finally broke through to the outside, showing us not only that she got better and survived, but also her obvious grief at what happened and her desperation to get help. You showed help arriving and Emmet being carried out by Xena, still alive for any who might have thought he died if they were only following the comic parts. Then you showed a brief flashback to the aftermath of the amputation, giving a clear explanation for why he did it in case it wasn't obvious to everyone.
Then after that double decker baconzilla of an angst burger, you cut to something completely different with Akari/Dawn talking to Rei/Lucas about what happened to Ingo, showing that Ingo felt his twin's pain throughout the whole ordeal. By showing/telling us that Ingo also came down with a fever and was bedridden for those few weeks, only to suddenly start doing much better after dreaming of eating a giant egg, we know that that must be the journey Emmet took after his amputation and subsequent rescue. Despite that, Ingo in still mentioned to be recovering, so we know that Emmet also still had some recovering to do from his injuries.
I love that you chose Ingo as a way to give this information, as not only does it indirectly tell us what's happened with Emmet, but it also cleverly brings Ingo into the narrative. We get to see what he's up to, how this affects him, and even at what point in the story it is compared to the game, since he knows the player character. You even managed to throw in a bit of humor, giving a moment of brevity from the heart racing events from before.
You could have stretched these pages out much more and focused on the carnage, but you sped it along and gave us only as much information as we needed about the big thing that happened, while weaving in some worldbuilding and character introductions. All in all, I think it was a FANTASTIC bit of storytelling.
BRAVO!XD

Everlark (Mockingjay, Ch. 13-14)
"i cover my face with my arms because this isn't happening. it isn't possible. for someone to make peeta forget he loves me... no one could do that" - she was so sure, so certain of peeta's love for her that this concept is completely alien to her. something she never saw coming. in the last chapter she felt jealous that what annie/finnick had, no one would doubt over its certainty - but she herself had that with peeta and now it's... fragile
katniss is so heartbroken teenage girl, covering/uncovering her face with her arms depending on what's being said and how much it's hurting her
katniss's desire to kill sow is kicked into overdrive because of what he's done to peeta. like that was truly her last straw.
(an aside: delly is a delight)
"it was less painful being strangled" oh katniss
it's so sad to see katniss numb after her being so anxious/angry/distraught over peeta being in the capitol and also her brief elation at having him back.
katniss coming to terms with the hijacking is so sad. a huge part of her is definitely catastrophizing though (like i don't blame her for it at all). but of course she is, because is truly a horrible twisted thing to happen and it takes her previous heartbreak and twists it more. but she goes straight to worst possible scenario which is: i'll never get peeta back, peeta is gone, so i'm gonna shut down and kill snow and then die myself
"it's only now that he's been corrupted that i can fully appreciate the real peeta. even more than i would've if he'd died. the kindness, the steadiness, the warmth that had an unexpected heat behind it" - she's fully mourning him, instead of fighting for him, because it's like all the fight has been taken out of her because of the hijacking
"the unexpected heat" behind peeta's warmth. more of what intrigued her about him, what set him apart.
her clutching the pearl trying to remember peeta as he was just kills me. i can't do it.
she spent the first book trying to make out like their kisses were tv kisses but here she's fondly remembering and trying to hold onto "the kisses in the arena"
"to make myself put a name to the thing i've lost" -it's their love, their bond, their intimacy that's just too great and beyond this earth to even put words to
"despite what i feel for peeta, this is when i accept deep down that he'll never come back to me. or i'll never go back to him. i'll stay in 2 until it falls, go to the capitol and kill snow, and then die for my trouble. and he'll die insane and hating me. so in the fading light i shut my eyes and kiss gale to make up for all the kisses i've withheld, and because it doesn't matter any more" - this is so heartbreaking, i don't even know where to begin. she's lost her hope entirely. and she's acting out of a desperate need to feel something, anything because she's so numb and hopeless.
i almost feel bad for gale because this kiss is so clearly katniss not in her right mind.
gale saying that he had a life outside of hunting with her. maybe it's him trying to save face but throughout this book and the last, it really feels like their friendship was just confined to the woods. the fact that they don't already know these things about each other? what did they talk about except for hunting and hating the capitol? does gale know katniss's favourite colour? does she know his? does she know anything about his habits apart from how he treads silently when he's hunting and how his hands set snares? what do they actually know about each other?
her completely emotionless at him telling her when he realised he liked her... it's very unromantic compared to peeta's own story of his crush on her. and we know katniss is a huge romantic. she's probably just like.. "oh so you saw some guy flirting with me and felt jealous and decided i should be yours? oh okay then. right"
something something about gale feeling an entitlement to katniss due to their history and shared trauma and what people expected vs peeta seeing her qualities and her singing and her boldness and her light. gale was always the easy choice, gale was the settling choice. change my mind
i know katniss had questioned whether gale was jealous of her and finnick being around eachother but he actually confirms it here. like gale is seeing finnick walking around dazed without pants on, tying and untying knots in the same piece of rope, having to be sedated when he thinks of annie in the capitol, and somehow genuinely thought that that man really had an eye on katniss, was flirting with katniss?! actually a bit crazy. sure gale is a complicated character, but this part of him is so revolting to me that it overshadows so much else. i don't despise him but i don't like him at all.
not to turn this post into a gale and katniss post but he's a key part of this chapter and we might as well compare and contrast - his death traps. katniss is quite clear on what she thinks about them. and he just goes from worse to worser in this book particularly. and in the next chapter, katniss even mentions that she wishes the old peeta was there to explain why the whole idea is so wrong.

rant about why I would have loved decay to have been Shigaraki's quirk (+musings about the future)
I mean it's still is 100% his quirk but him not being born with it is so disappointing to me. In 418 Tenko cries "why else would I have been born like this", only for the next chapter to answer such a heart-piercing question with "u werent' lol"…SUCH a cope-out omg.
Whew almost had to contend with reality that some kids manifest such horrible quirks as decay and horrible things happen because of it…thank god it was just a fault of this one dude (ughh)
In this very same manga we have examples of people accepting their quirks & assert that only they get to decide what is the meaning behind them, despite people trying to shove them into boxes. Shinsou using his "villainous" quirk be a hero <3 Shoto using his fire because it's HIS, not his father's <3 Eri, who was told she was born cursed, learning her power is like a knife - it can be dangerous but can also be used to make delicious food (I love that scene) <33 I've seen people saying that it would be repetitive for Tomura's arc end in the same way but I disagree. I thought that as the main antagonist, he is not only the final boss physically, but also the final boss thematically: His salvation could have been a culmination of the lessons we learned throughout the series, and a testament of their significance.
Tomura could have been the ultimate case of that setup. It's easy enough to tell Eri (someone with essentially super healing, who killed with it on accident) that she is born with a gift. But could you have told the same to Tomura (someone with hands that destroy everything, who used them to kill on purpose)? I guess we will never know. To have a man with destruction literally written in his genes, who was raised to believe there is something fundamentally wrong with his being, come to understand that only he can define his power, that he is not doomed because of the way was born. Aaaa it could have been so gooood :( What could have been a powerful story about self acceptance instead misses the mark completely (for me).
Ok FINE we also do have Toga's story incorporating this (with a few key differences) and we love her!! But it's still baffling to me that the main antag is doing a worse job at embodying the themes of the series than the supporting cast. Seriously, even if afo giving decay makes sense logistically (it's in his character, it was foreshadowed, yadayada), what exactly does it add to the narrative, thematically?
+Not really a serious point but there was something so resonating about abused boy's hands turning to destroy everything they touch because, when no-one else cared to save him, he had to end the abuse himself. The same way it's resonation that a depressed man turned into a cockroach. It doesn't need a reason because it just makes sense that would happen. (magical realism my beloved)
Shigaraki's story could still end with him reclaiming decay and it would still be neat tho!!
Idk about that awakening of reconstruction thing…feels too much like "healing=good, destruction=bad" (im more of a "destruction can be used to do both good and bad things" typa gal (like using it to save people from under rubble and stuff like that)). I'm not ENTIRELY against it tho. (The league could really use a healer right now lol). +Shigaraki awakening hope for a better world coinciding with awakening the power of creation that was denied from him would be cheesy but also cute. But also uhhh - didn't decay first start to manifest when he was playing with Mon, shining smile on his face from the knowledge that his granny was a hero? So what would be the narrative reason for decay to manifest then, but reconstruction now? UNLESS that WAS reconstruction and he was actually repairing the ball from Mon's teeth marks?? Reconstruction coupled with regeneration opens the door for all kinds of messed up, gorgeous body horror <33 (Tomura using his own bodymass for overhaul, like healing someone's obliterated arm by ripping his own arm off and giving it to them lol it would be sooo mmmmhmm) (sidenote: Are we gonna see mangled overhaul vestige or what??)
While we are talking about cheesy metaphors…Shigaraki getting back his airwalk (if that is his og quirk) and learning to fly after being freed from the man who groomed him? HELL YEA that's what im all about. I don't like decay not being his og quirk, like I probably made clear lol, but this would be beautiful not gonna lie (im just a sucker for freedom symbolized by flight (imagine him tiptoeing through skies without care in the world like Howl from howl's moving castle….with a cape and everything…glamour off the charts))

I binged read most of kingdom of caliburn (the amount of internet digging I had to do to find it 😔 took me hours)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That "I understand" was especially just so heartbreaking 😭 he gets her, he doesn't blame her at all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
By the end it literally had me bawling, these two deserved so much better, and considering the fact every love witch before Dorothea has managed to resurrect their loved one she might geniunely be the only one who fails because narrative wise it just wouldn't make sense for her to succeed and for Doroka to repeat the process once again, there has to be an end to the cycle otherwise every action will cause a chain reaction and this would never end.
But after witnessing all that she had been through I just... I can't bring myself to hate Dorothea despite everything she did, yes she was wrong, and is arguably a horrible person for what she did to the witches and Chloe especially 😭.
But it's not as if she asked to lose everyone and everything she loved, she was always kind to everyone, and wished the best but even the kindest people have their breaking point and Dorothea just succumbed to it, I'm not good with words but I really do believe she is a truly tragic charecter, hoping for a happy ending for her is probably out of the equation but I just hope whatever happens she atleast gets some closure.
I think it's sad how the only thing Alfred actually wanted from Dorothea was for her to gift her kindness to the world, the same kindness he had grown to appreciate over the entire time they spend together he wished she would continue to do so even after he was gone, but Dorothea just couldn't do that, there's a limit to how much people can endure before they reach their breaking point and Dorothea just couldn't digest the cruelty of the situation she couldn't put aside her anger and hatred and ended up becoming the person we know today in kingdom of ruin.
I can't help but notice she and Adonis do share a number of similarities in the way they handle grief, similar to Dorothea Adonis couldn't accept the way Chloe was murdered so he wasn't able to put aside his own desire for vengeance for Chloe, he knows it's true when Doroka said Chloe wouldn't want him to pursue that path but he just can't bring myself to move on because
"it's the irreplaceable proof Chloe was part of my life"
"i have nothing left to lose"
Which Doroka counters with
"no matter how cruel, heartless, and empty this world is don't fall into the abyss"
"revenge will not cure your pain, it will only continue the cycle of hatred"
Both of these conflicting statements can apply perfectly with Dorothea unlike Adonis she doesn't seek revenge she just wants to bring back Alfredo but to do so she had to eliminate her kind in case they attempted to get in the way of her plan, by that point in Caliburn Dorothea was at her lowest she found out her mother was the first witch, that she never loved her, her mother killed her best friend and then ran away with her lover to live their best life, as if rubbing salt in the wound, she lost everything and by that point she had nothing to lose.
Her saying she had left all notions of hypocrisy aside could possibly be referring to how self aware she is, she understands that continues the same ritual her mother did on Alfredo on Adonis would just make her as horrible as dorossel, yet she doesn't care because her choosing to put everything on the line just so she can revive Alfred is the quote "irreplaceable proof that he was in her life", Dorothea fell into the abyss Doroka warned Adonis not to, and ironically enough Adonis also had a chance to revive Chloe but he chose not to because he didn't want to subject her to the cruelty of their world anymore he let her rest, while he takes her revenge for her.
I think that's why Doroka plays an important role in the story she's the middle ground she has lost the one friend she had throughout her life Anna, yet she chose not to pursue revenge before she knows at the end of the day it's pointless yes by this point in the manga she doesn't neccesarily think revenge is a bad idea as she understands Adonis' perspective but my point is Doroka will probably be the one to end the cycle of hatred, by not choosing to do the same thing Dorothea, dorossel and many other love witch's before her had by choosing to let go.

– OC TAG GAME.
TAGGED BY: @aragorngf, @devilbrakers & @aartyom, thank you so much!! TAGGING: @reaperkiller, @faarkas, @morvaris, @cultistbase, @swordcoasts, @katsigian, @ncytiri, @adelaidedrubman, @henbased, @strafethesesinners, @shellibisshe, @dickytwister and YOU! – picrew director's commentary: did this one without including ocs from original stories because those guys go waaayyy back LMAO so i'm only including (semi) familiar faces here :D
– FAVORITE OC.
Tumblr media
vitali dobrynin [cp2077]
alright fine you got me i KNOW vincent is the main character but this cunt has bewitched me body and soul officially now. sexy as hell in both the past and the present, gives me gender envy on a daily basis, i need to study him in a petri dish i need to wrap him in a blanket i need to pick him apart like a little lego figure i need to bend him over the nearest surface. do you understand me. he is fucking everything to me
– NEWEST OC.
Tumblr media
kitty bennett [cp2077]
i create new guys so often but i think she's the newest one! kitty is reid's older sister and she recently FINALLY divorced her piece of shit husband and now she's showing her face in night city again to bother the shit out of her younger brother :^) she's got twins and they're taller than their uncle at the fresh age of 11 and that will forever be hilarious to me. i'm still spinning more ideas around for her but she's also very tall that's one thing i know
– OLDEST OC.
Tumblr media
rafael rodriguez [jc3]
i don't actually know if he's my oldest oc of all of them but i feel like he is?? very self indulgent one because there's no fandom here but i loved the game so i made a little guy for it :^) most tired little man in all of medici and he hasn't changed all that much since i created him i just made him More tired over the years. someone please let him take a nap he's been awake for three consecutive days now
– MEANEST OC.
Tumblr media
michele diaz [cp2077]
the baddest bitch out there in my honest opinion but also all she's ever done is constantly manipulate everyone around her so. hee hee!! she will make you feel so so safe around her until she doesn't need you anymore and then she tears you apart and you'll end up in shambles for the rest of your life. if she even lets you live in the first place. so yeas definitely not one of my nicest ocs i shan't lie!! cold and ruthless and likes ordering people around and doesn't care about the consequences of her actions. turned into a monster by militech and now she's constantly showing everyone her teeth but what can you do other than play the cards you've been given
– SOFTEST OC.
Tumblr media
luna serratos [cp2077]
this one was difficult because a lot of my ocs have a very big soft side but i think luna is one of the few of them who's actually like. more than 95% soft. mostly because of the fact they're not a mercenary of some sort like most of my cyberpunk ocs LMAO luna is the one who patches everyone up after the gig is done and they're always so gentle with those around them even if they're complete strangers. that's how she met cassidy and by definition the rest of the gang too :^) throughout the entire story she remains a constant in everyone's life and despite all the horrible things that happen, not at any point does luna turn to the mercenary life themself. they have this very strong belief that they can make themself the most useful as a medic and as a friend, not as a fighter or an enemy
– MOST ALOOF/STANDOFFISH OC.
Tumblr media
nathan dixon [tew]
man who will just stand there and autism stare at you until you start talking to him. and then he continues to do that actually he just occasionally says some words back (if you're lucky). he's mostly just distant because a lot of people have hurt him in the past so he doesn't warm up to others well or quickly, and he tries to look at everything very objectively so a lot of people would think he just doesn't care. which is honestly true a lot of the time actually. elevator music playing in his brain on loop
– DUMBEST (AFFECTIONATE) OC.
Tumblr media
aubrey valentine [cp2077]
where the fuck do i even begin mein fucking gott aubrey. he's so. <3 like genuinely he is in fact very intelligent and capable he's running a fixer business and a club right now with the same kind of job guarantee + safety levels as vitali's business so he's got it all!! but he's also just dumb as bricks!!!! his siblings (three sisters and a trans brother) have successfully managed to convince him he will get his period at some point in his life. any day now aubrey. he eats crayons. sand. anything really he's eaten glass before (the counter is on five. he's still alive somehow. don't ask) and he'll do it again. will confidently use a random word in a sentence believing he's used it right but by god he is not right. he can drive but he also can't drive but he also can't not drive. he doesn't know what a horse is
– SMARTEST OC.
Tumblr media
vatha nefiti [d&d]
this one was very difficult because vatha is in a party with artyom (nuclear artificer), lorelei (chronomancy wizard) and sascha (cthulhu warlock) but i think she (cryogenetics sorcerer) can be considered the smartest because she's got like. Everything. the high wisdom high intelligence high charisma kind of stat combination. they love reading books and learning things about the places they visit and have all this information stored in their memories but at the same time she also knows a LOT about surviving and living on the road, and she's usually the one to handle business with people they help. beacon of knowledge but also very passive in it, they're not someone who would rub it in your face but the party knows that if they need any sort of information, ask vatha LMAO
– OC YOU'D BE BEST FRIENDS WITH IRL.
Tumblr media
reuben de la rosa [cp2077]
the sweetest little guy ever to exist he would be SUCH a nice friend to have. excited about basically everything, gives great hugs, always has Something to talk about and he will include you in Everything so you'll never ever feel left out or lonely basically. i wouldn't let him cook for me though he exploded an egg in the microwave once 🥚🤯

i don’t think it’s unreasonable to suggest that 10 or 12 are the best Doctors of the nu-Who era, but neither of them are my favourite and it sucks because they seem to be all anyone talks about
11 is my favourite Doctor. how can this be despite Moffat’s one-handed writing and the hero-worship and the weird arc structures and all of 11’s other flaws, you may ask? simple. i literally do not care.
11’s moments and victories and speeches are tacky and cheesy and cliché and i love it deep within my soul. Matt Smith carries off the youthful exuberance of 10 and the age and gravitas of 12 at different times and flips between them so naturally and it’s just. wonderful.
and just because 11 is flawed does not mean that other Doctors must be perfect by comparison: 12 is a major asshole to Clara for no reason throughout all of S8 and his constant flip-flopping on whether he has the right to make decisions for humanity is real frustrating. 10 treats Martha (and arguably Jack) horribly, and the Time Lord Victorious thing falls flat on its ass sometimes
and just so everyone feels included, 13 has the personality of one person split across four and it is AGONISING to watch and 9… actually 9 is pretty close to perfect, but having only one season doesn’t leave tons of wiggle room for bad writing to set in.
back to 11 real quick - i know some people have a vehement dislike for moffat’s style of writing being overly poetic and fairytale, but i’ll be honest in saying that i love that stuff for Dr Who. this is a show about a madman with a box that can travel in time and space. we can have fantastical narratives. yes, characters should probably be more affected by events involved and yes, some of the companions should probably have just died instead of being brought back constantly and yes, sometimes a story happens just for the sake of being cool but also i literally do Not Give A Single Fuck about that. the doctor openly admits that paradoxes happen and that shit resolves itself, and when time itself is unraveling that sort of thing is bound to be more likely to occur. can you tell i like the Big Bang?

There are a lot of things the game just has you roll with despite being five existential crises in a trench coat.
Someone who's lived a very ordinary life is going to react differently.
For example, in the lost future from where G'raha came, Rhiki's family probably died horribly. In canon they're fine and alive and nothing has happened to them, but in the First, isn't that something Rhiki would get stuck on?
So, this has actually been a major sticking point for me in coming up with a backstory for Rhiki.
As I've mentioned before, with Rhiki's kind of run-of-the mill upbeat, outgoing, and peppy personality, along with her youthful optimism and emotional availability, it's hard to imagine that she has some sort of dark tragedy hidden in her background. Before her role as Warrior of Light really started to develop I thought of her as Just A Guy - becoming and adventurer as part of her "wayward-20-something's self-discovery phase. " She seems pretty well adjusted, with fair-to-good self-esteem and mental health (though both of these deteriorate over the course of the story as she becomes, like you so eloquently put it, five existential crises in a trench coat). So, a stable and loving upbringing with no major trauma makes a lot of sense.
But, at the same time, I think having a loving family or support system that's still intact throughout the story would really undermine a lot of her character development, or change the trajectory of it entirely. There are a lot of things that might not have bothered her as much, or people she might not have gotten as attached to, or choices she might not have made if she could go home and get a warm hug from her mom and/or dad. Part of what drives her story in the beginning is that she feels isolated. Moenbryda's death really drives a wedge between her and the scions - everyone is grieving in their own way, but the way Rhiki wants to grieve is not by herself. (she then conveniently makes a new friend but like two weeks later he says "sorry i'm locking myself in this tower forever because it's what a bunch of people who died 1000s of years ago and have never caused us anything but trouble would have wanted :///" We all WANT things G'raha.) She feels like nobody she works with really knows or is interested in her; they're just using her as a blank screen to project the idealized Warrior of Light that they want and need onto.
That's what drives her to become so close Haurchefant - he treats her like his good buddy, the adventurer rather than the Savior of Eorzea. And being so close to Haurchefant is what makes it so traumatic when he dies, which is what eventually leads to her becoming a Dark Knight and confronting some of her issues (so she can make room for more issues.) It feels like if she had supportive parents or a guardian or n extended family to return to who could, if not directly advise her or sympathize with her issues, at least affirm her identity and personhood and reassure her that there are people who care about her for who she is, all of these things would have been a lot less impactful. As I was playing and thinking about Rhiki I had a hard time imagining her taking a break to go have lunch with her parents, though she's definitely the kind of person who would do that if she could.
(It's also worth noting that I've never really envisioned Rhiki having a super-personal vendetta against Garlemald. She opposes them and their actions of course because Garlemald is such a caricature of an evil empire that an evil Ascian designing it specifically to be as cruel and malicious as possible is the most believable explanation for it's existence. But she doesn't have a burning hatred or desire for vengeance towards Gaius or Zenos or Varis or anything like that. I guess I could retcon one but honestly I think it's very funny that Rhiki can't be bothered to remember who Zenos is 90% of the time.)
So I've created a paradox for myself: she's so normal and positive that she almost can't have had anything super traumatic (like losing her parents) happen to her, but her loving parents/family/support system can't still be alive and intact at the beginning of her story for her to develop into the character she is.
Even without a family to worry about, I'm sure it's still horrifying to realize that in the currently-existing future everyone you know has died horribly. She has plenty of friends and loved ones outside of the Scions that got kidnapped and turned into ghosts on the first with her. But I feel like anyone who had any close ties to anyone other than Alphinaud, Alisaie, Thancred, Y'shtola, and Urianger would probably feel the same way. (Plus, she's immediately presented with a pretty "simple" way to avert that future so, y'know, she's just gotta focus on doing her job. She probably learned to tunnel-vision in on the steps to achieve her goal like 3 major catastrophes ago.)

Fave character and why (overall)
What type of characters do you typically enjoy? (for me i usually like dead characters because of their... idk there's just so much to work w there 😭 like so many things for interpretation/potential)
What got you into bsd
What got you into tumblr
Can you give at least one tip or advice on how to recover from a hyperfixation on something when u need to be productive?
Are you better at writing or drawing?
If you could choose, which would you be better at?
Do you like painting?
Are your friends nice?
Forgive me for the random asks. jus answer the ones you want to ty ❤️
Is it weird if I answer all of them? I think all of these are fun to answer so I'm gonna answer all of them. Tysm!!
Favorite character overall is... really difficult. I like so many different characters for so many reasons across so many different medias. Even choosing a favorite from BSD is wildly difficult. Of all characters ever, one of my favorites is Cal Trask from John Steinbeck's East of Eden (the book, not the movie, even though he is played by James Dean). East of Eden is one of my favorite books ever, and most of the incredible themes in it, all of the cycles it represents, as well as the cycles it finally breaks, are done through Cal. He struggles with being good despite a thematic predisposition to being anything but throughout his portion of the novel doomed-by-the-narrative style, until at the end the resolution is that... he doesn't have to be either, he only really has to be him. I love that book dearly and could talk about its themes for hours (and have!). As far as favorite BSD characters specifically, that's near impossible for me to say, but a rough top-group would include Kyusaku, Kouyou, Dazai but specifically mafia era, Kunikida, and Albatross. I don't have any really good reasoning for those top favorites beyond "hehe, I like them," honestly.
I usually enjoy characters that it takes a while to piece together their motivations. Morally grey. And I mean actually morally grey, not the asshole-that-does-nice-things antihero type. I like characters that make me want to think about them and piece them together and study them like bugs under a magnifying glass until they start to catch on fire. Dudes who suck but have so much potential to be more. Make me have to justify why I enjoy them in front of a board of directors. I love to be able to fill in between the lines.
A former friend group got me into BSD back in 2019 because they were all watching it and I happened to have the time and energy to. The sheer amount of media to consume & intrigue of the characters is what made me stay, though.
This is horribly embarrassing but my first stint on Tumblr ~7 or 8 years ago was sparked by learning that the Onceler fandom existed and being absolutely fascinated by it. It was already dying out by this point, so I wasn't active or anything in it, but I thought the way people interacted across blogs to make these wild stories was so fascinating. Specifically the Truffula Flu zombie arcs. I was a Camp Entre loyalist. A couple years later I accidentally deleted my blog and didn't get active on Tumblr again until a little over a year ago, though, when I wanted to start engaging with the fanbases some media I was fixating on at the time.
If I could figure out the secret for recovering from a hyperfixation in a productive way I would be a much more functional person. Sometimes I'm able to approach things with an "if you can't beat it, join it" mentality, and can come up with ways to connect my current task to whatever I'm fixating on. Here's the secret: you're allowed to be cringe with it. If you need to do the dishes and need to make it a mental competition for "oh boy I need to be less of a disaster than Dazai its fucking on" or "I need to do my math homework so Kunikida will be proud of me" or "gotta do my laundry... I gotta be dressy for my port mafia work attire..." then do it. Who cares. That doesn't work all the time, but it can work sometimes. And when it doesn't? I normally just try to clear my mind entirely by doing something that sucks so much I can't think of anything except how it sucks. For me its cardio. I hate cardio exercise. But if I go on a jog and come back I a) feel a little better and more functional because I went on a stupid exercise for my stupid mental health, b) got some of the excess fixation energy out, and c) that sucked so bad i would literally rather do Anything else i might as well be fucking productive. These are not sure-fire ways but they help me. And my most important one? You can't focus when you're stressed. Trying to force yourself to focus when you're stressed about an assignment and panicking because you can't focus will not help you, it will make the problem worse. It is okay to give yourself some grace, walk away, try to put yourself into a healthier mindset, and come back. That's another reason I like to take walks when I can't focus, even if its just a small one down the hall for a glass of water and then back. Don't force yourself. Never force yourself. You'll feel worse and more frustrated.
I'm much better at writing. I'm horrible at drawing, I just do it anyway for fun because sometimes I need to get my fixation kick out in a visual manner. Writing has always been my strong suit.
If I could choose? I think I'd still pick writing, honestly. I'm sometimes jealous of those that can make gorgeous art, but I'm happy in my world of writing because it has helped me in so many other areas of my life as well. I don't live an artists life, unfortunately, and writing has served me well.
I do like painting! I haven't in a very long time, as I don't have the time or energy much, but I used to sculpt and paint my creations. I'm not saying I was particularly good at either, but I used to, and I enjoyed it.
I didn't always have nice friends. But these days? They are. I wouldn't trade the friends I have now for the world.

Throwback Thursday Track #2: MISIA - Everything release: October 2000 genre: Jpop, J-R&B
Remember when I started this serial way back in the middle of last summer and then immediately dropped the ball on doing it ever again because Thursdays are actually really horrible? No? Yeah, it's fine. But since I'm trying to be better about these things ... jumping back into the wayback machine to the year 2000!
I have no idea what happened to the master that this janky rip off of a VHS copy is the best the official account could do, but here we are. I am ... mostly sure this was not my first time hearing MISIA, but seeing as I've been listening to her for over twenty years oh my god, don't ask me to tell you when I started. I can't even remember how, because let me tell you, kids, the internet was a very different place back then and if you wanted to listen to Japanese music, you had to Go Through Hoops, to put it mildly. And while her music is and was exactly up my alley, she didn't really do the music show circuit even when she first debuted, so all I can think is some sort of happy accident? Whatever the case, this was certainly one of my earliest exposures to MISIA's angelic voice. At seven minutes, "Everything" is about twice as long as the usual pop radio hit song. Moreover, between the opening strains in full orchestra and the wistful tone to MISIA's voice throughout, "Everything" feels much more like something you would find on a drama OST than in a karaoke box or on pop radio. Which didn't stop it from debuting at the top of the Oricon chart nor keep the single from racking up enough sales to make it the all-time third top selling single by a female Japanese artist and MISIA's signature song, despite not actually showing off her full vocal range (5 octaves!) The video has a very Christmas-in-Japan feel going for it, between the snow and the love song lyrics. It's not the most dynamic video, the story parts all shot for slow motion and then MISIA herself delivering her performance with minimal movement, but that, too, fits the mood of the song. It's also an older style of making a music video - the solo diva delivering a song while mostly just standing in place - that MISIA's always favored for herself. "Everything" was the second single off her third studio album, Marvelous, and has been included in each of her best of collections since, so your favorite streaming service should have at least one version of it. Last month (February 21st, to be exact) marked MISIA's 25th anniversary of her debut, so if you liked this, there's a lot more out there. Want to sponsor a song selection? You sweet angel! For the low, low price of one (1) KoFi, I'll write up the song of your choice. ANY song of your choice. Yes, even that one that's been played to death. Yes, your obscure faves too. Sponsor a current CB for the next open Music Monday slot or sponsor a throwback for a Thursday feature! DW | Twitter | Mastodon | Ko-fi | Patreon | Discord | Twitch

I swear some people in the 3h fandom are so warped that they genuinely believe that Nemesis and the Slithers are the actual heroes. Yeah cause conducting human blood experiments, kidnapping, assassinations, wanting to kill everyone, ruin the continent for domination, spewing out racist rhetoric, massacring two races of people, etc is totally a heroic thing to do. /s
Like, legit, seriously and not even joking think they're the heroes? I’m sure some people are arguing it just to troll, but I wouldn’t be surprised if people were genuinely saying that just because they don’t like other characters.
That’s something that happens a lot in this fandom - people arguing things whether they’re ridiculous or not just to undermine another character or group of characters. I’ve seen that kind of thing happen in fandoms before, but in this one in particular it’s especially bad. I’ve seen people go out of their way to warp things characters say just to make them sound like a bad person (especially Dimitri) to try to make themselves sound correct and say “look I have evidence!” when really it’s just obvious they’re saying it for the sake of argument against the character.
What really gets me though is that they’ll argue this kind of shit for the game, but when they get a comparison to irl events they can’t handle it, or the fact that they’re defending horrible irl situations by advocating for certain things.
The game intentionally goes out of its way to be clear throughout the game that what they’re doing is wrong even in a morally gray story. TWS was given the role of FE4′s Lopt Sect, who are forced to live in hiding underground and they want revenge for being forced to live like that, but the people who they take it out on are the present generations who had no hand in the treatment of their people. They want to commit genocide and take over the continent, believing these people are their enemies and that if they’re descended from particular bloodlines that they’re evil.
Now, if they were correct and the currently living bloodlines still treated them like trash and it was genuinely everyone in a widespread misconception that the people refused to change their opinions on, I can understand taking it to that level. If these people were descended from those people and were actually not innocent in the matter, taking it upon themselves to be as hateful and terrible as their ancestors, I can understand coming to the conclusion that they need to fight back and eradicate those people for their safety and survival.
That’s not the case though in both these games, and the point is that these villain groups are the ones starting conflict. They’re not continuing something, as the people who did those things to their people are long dead and the ones living now don’t engage in any of that. Despite that these villain groups bring harm to unknowing people who don’t have a hand in that history. Even if they didn’t know that history, if they engaged in such harmful hate and it was something like “all people from xyz are terrible and have to die”, yeah, that’s horrible and I’d understand our villains coming to the conclusion of “well this is shit, we need to get rid of these people or they’re literally going to try to kill us”. However, that’s not the case, which is what makes them villains. They would be the heroes if they were in fact fighting for their freedom against actual oppression, but we’re never shown that our characters are oppressive or follow in the footsteps of their ancestors’ hate.
The difference between making them heroes and villains is honestly pretty clear cut in that sense. Both games’ villains are villains because they’re blaming the people living now for things they were never involved in, thus taking action against them as if they were. Basically if they wanted revenge and took action sooner, against the right people, they wouldn’t be at fault for that. They end up at fault when attacking people who have nothing to do with it.
If people are legitimately thinking TWS is a group of heroes, they need a reality check. Even if it’s just a story, to be able to have that way of thinking where you can defend TWS (and by extension FE4′s Lopt Sect as they’re literally the same thing but with a bit more dragon feuding involved too) is straight up concerning. Yes, it’s a fictional story... in which it says a lot about a person when they’ll go out of their way to defend a group that is written in a clear cut morally negative way.

does your captain have any backstory you're dying to share?? how do they cope with the whole wormhole situation during and after the main story?
OK THIS IS GONNA BE A LONG ONE!!! BRACE URSELF
Some background:
came out as nonbinary in college!!! unfortunately, their parents disowned them shortly after bc Transphobia
mark was their biggest supporter after this. he let them stay at his parent's place for a bit, and even helped them pay for their top surgery!!!
they'll forever love and appreciate him for that ❤️
Thoughts throughout ISWM:
when cosmic first died and came back, they were extremely confused. they thought it must've been some weird cryo induced dream.
but then it kept happening.
again
and again
and again
but then celci was like
"captain, mark got our asses stuck in a wormhole!" "no i did no- oh maybe i did..."
yeah... we all saw how paranoid the captain was after that...
they ruled protected their colony until the day they died.
and then they went towards the light and woke up again. in the cryo pod. back to the same familiar hellhole they thought they escaped from.
they realized they cant die, and that scares them. they dont want to live forever. living forever meant watching everyone around you turn to dust, while there is nothing you can do but watch.
at first they try to find their way to the warp core, to stop all of this from happening. but after failing so many times, they slowly start to give up hope.
so they just start fucking around and going unhinged. what's the point if everything's just gonna reset anyway? (even tho they aren't actually resets)
but despite the existential dread, there is one glimmer of light in this darkness. that glimmer is mark ❤️
no matter what happened, they were glad to have him by their side.
someone to share this burden with, someone to count on when things got tough, someone who understood them, and still loved them, dispite their horrible decisions
at least, until mark bashed them over the head with a fire extinguisher
they amount of hurt and betrayal they felt.......... gdi mark pay for their therapy 🙄
they really said "i can fix him" and then they did
they didn't let go of him. they would never let go of him.
gay arc starts now
when mark said "thank you for not giving up on me." oh my GOD THEIR FACE GOT SO RED!!!! NBLM SUPREMECY
the truth is they've always loved mark. they just never realized it until now
