Ghost Swap
treat for my dear friend @playghosttrick !!! @fyeahghosttrick
Prompt: Yomiel gets dragged to the beach with Fiansissel and he hates the ocean SO MUCH. Can be funny or depressing or both!
I wrote something based on one of my old ideas and I hope you like it!
Ugh… How did I get into this mess?
“Yomiel! Honey, talk to me!” I could hear Sissel’s worried voice from somewhere. I felt someone shake my body a bit.
“Sissel, don’t shake him like that! Let me check on him. Yomiel, can you hear me?” It was a grave, male voice this time. Was it Jowd?
I couldn’t remember anything and this somehow made me feel even worse. “Ughn….” Was the only thing I could manage to let out.
“Look, he’s waking up!” It was Sissel’s voice again and as I tried to open my eyes, I could see her hovering over me. Or barely could see her, because my vision was still trying to adapt to the bright light of the environment.
“W-What… what happened?” I blurted out. My head was spinning and as I tried to properly wake up, I could feel I was lying down in some sort of fabric. The light was just too bright to get used to and my already sensitive eyes were having a lot of difficulty to try processing what was going on and I suddenly realized I was without my sunglasses for some reason, so instead of relying on my weak eyes, I searched the ground to feel where in the world I was when I felt sand beneath my fingers.
“You passed out, honey. Oh my gods, I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have—” Sissel was cut short by the male voice again.
“It’s okay, Sissel, it wasn’t your fault.” Then I felt a large hand on my shoulder. I couldn’t properly see in this bright sunlight, but I knew who it was. It was Jowd. “You’re okay there, Yomiel?”
“Yeah, just… I need my sunglasses, please. It’s so hard to see anything in this fucking strong sunlight.” I said tiredly as I finally managed to sit down. Then the memories just came rushing back to me.
----
It’s crazy to think about how time flies. It seemed like it was just yesterday that I was released from prison, but that had been a year ago. Sissel and I got married recently and we were just back from our honeymoon when Jowd and Alma asked us for a family trip to celebrate as a family. A family. That was a weird word to me. My family life was so messed up that for years I’ve been wishing for my ideal definition of family. And now, looking at Jowd, Alma, Kamila, Sissel (and I mean both)... Despite the awkwardness and guilt I still feel towards them about the things I’ve done to them in the past, I can’t help to shake the feeling that I’m in the right place. Is this what it feels like to be in a family?
So yeah, we agreed to it. Sissel had been all excited about it, of course, while I’ve been really nervous. I didn’t know what to expect from this trip and I hoped things would turn out alright. What got me worried though, was actually where we were going to spend this vacation.
We were going to spend a weekend at Jowd’s beachside home.
I had to admit I wasn’t really fond of the idea of getting too close to the ocean again, but I guess as long as I stayed on firm land, I would be okay. I knew it wasn’t Jowd’s idea either, he didn’t seem too fond of the ocean too after the whole submarine incident. But we couldn’t say no to our women, could we?
So there we were, hosted in Jowd and Alma’s beachside house. There was an entire room for me and Sissel and I still remember Jowd’s rule about using the bedroom.
“Yomiel, Sissel, I know you two just came back from a heated honeymoon, but please, no doing anything improper while Kamila is around. This is a family vacation.”
“Geez, we’re not that vulgar, Jowd!” I rolled my eyes, but Sissel let out an embarrassed giggle. It’s true that Sissel and I got… a little busy during our honeymoon, but I knew it wouldn’t be polite of us to do this kinda stuff in someone else’s house.
In the afternoon, we packed our stuff and went to the beach. Kamila was busy building sand castles with cat Sissel (yes, of course she brought the cat with her. And honestly, I was glad to have my best friend with me on this trip too.) Lynne had come too (it was like she was already part of Jowd’s family) and she would play around with Kamila and cat Sissel and Missile. Good thing pets were allowed on this beach.
I, of course, was standing FAR AWAY from the ocean, under the beach umbrella, safe from the burning sun and working with my laptop. Of course I would bring my laptop for the trip. There were some projects I could work on while everyone else was having fun. Besides, I would stay safe and far away from the sea, as it should be. But of course, sometimes I would lift my eyes from the computer screen to stare at Sissel. Gods, she looked so wonderful in a bikini. At least one good thing came out of being in this hellish place. The way her skin looked so beautiful under the sun, not to mention the tiny drops of sweat that made her skin sparkle under the sunlight, making her look even more desirable… Damn. I found myself licking my lips in lust and, for a moment, I mentally cursed Jowd for his stupid rule about me and Sissel “not doing anything improper while we’re hosted in his house.” So, to take my mind out of my “improper thoughts”, I tried to focus back on my coding. But just as I came back to writing...
“Seriously, Yomiel? You’re working while we’re on vacation? Who even brings a laptop to the beach?” I heard Sissel complaining. Sigh. Just when I was trying to concentrate on the code...
“Sissy, love, you know I’m not fond of beaches.” I protested quietly, but she didn’t seem ready to give up.
“No, no, no. Turn this off, I want you to come swim with me!” She literally took the laptop from my hands and put it on the table.
“SWIM? Babe, you know I can’t swim!” I started to panic as she pulled me from the chair and started dragging me towards the sea.
“We’re not going too far, I swear! We’re only going where the water hits on our knees. Besides, you’ll be with me and I CAN swim, so I can save you if anything goes wrong!” She winked at me, but I couldn’t shake this dreadful feeling out of me. The closer she dragged me to the ocean, the closer I was to panicking.
“Sissel, PLEASE, no! I-I-I don’t like the sea! I-It’s too d-d-dangerous, e-e-even for those who can swim! L-Let’s go back, please!” I tried to convince her one last time.
“Please, Yommy! Just this once! Do it for me, please…” She looked at me with her ‘kitten eyes’ face. The one she always used whenever she wanted to convince me of something. I could never say no to that face. But the ocean….
I looked over at Jowd, who was helping Kamila with the sand castle. I tried to ask him for help, but Sissel managed to push me closer towards the water and I could already feel it under my feet.
The cold sensation of the water under my feet, along with the furious roar of the waves got me thinking back of that dark, sinking submarine and how I was supposed to be left there with the debris, forgotten, like a complete, lost soul.
The memories of that night came rushing to me all at once and I could feel as if I was trapped in that submarine again, sinking slowly towards the bottom of an endless sea.
Then the world seemed to disappear around me.
---
Back to the present, as I woke up I could still feel myself shaking in fear. Sissel was feeling terrible about it and she was apologizing all the time for trying to force me to get into the water with her. She had brought me my sunglasses and a coconut so I could drink some of its water. It helped me to feel a bit better for a second.
“You sure you’re okay, Yomiel?” Jowd asked again. Even Kamila, Lynne and Alma were standing nearby and everyone seemed worried about me.
“I… guess….” The real answer was ‘no, I’m not’, but I didn’t want to make Sissel feel worse. But I guess Jowd understood the real meaning of my words. He already knew how much I hated the idea of standing close to the ocean when in the other timeline, I was supposed to be left alone in that sinking submarine.
(It’s okay, Yomiel, you’re safe now.) cat Sissel’s voice echoed in my mind. The black kitten was now sitting on my lap, staring at me intently with his big amber eyes. (Though I understand why you freaked out. Water is the worst.)
(Do you want to come back to the house with your wife? I can stay here with Kamila, Alma and Lynne. And.. huh… You two can have a time for yourselves, if this will help you get your mind of what happened.) Jowd’s voice echoed through our Ghost World connection.
(What? But you said…)
(I said ‘no doing anything improper while Kamila’s around’. But we’ll be here on the beach so you two can have the house for yourselves for a while.) He winked playfully. Gods, I couldn’t believe he was really willing to pass over his own rule for my sake.
(And we can talk about the ocean incident later.) The cat said. (That is, if you want to, of course.)
(Thank you, guys.) I sighed in relief, smiling at my two friends. As awkward my friendship with Jowd felt at first, I came to realize he was like a big brother watching over me at times
“Sissel, he’s doing better now!” I heard Jowd shout to her. She was buying another coconut for me and came back to my side as soon as she heard Jowd’s voice.
“Really? Oh, thank goodness! I’m so, so sorry, Yommy…. I didn’t know your fear of water was that big.” She hugged me and it was a relief to feel her warm body pressed against me.
“Why don’t you two go back to the house and take some rest? I can stay here with the girls, don’t worry.” He winked at us one more time. It seemed like Sissel took the hint as well because she cast a lustful glance towards me, then nodded.
“Of course! This will help us a lot. Thank you so much, Jowd!” She giggled, then winked at me. “It will be a good way to apologize for my mistake.”
I couldn’t help but chuckle back. “You’re already forgiven, my love. And thanks once more, Jowd.”
“You’re welcome.” The detective said while he held the black kitten in his arms and watched as Sissel and I packed our things and headed back home. Sissel’s arms wrapped around mine as we walked back to Jowd and Alma’s beach house.
Ok, so maybe a family vacation wasn’t so bad, after all.

Into Eternity - Part XI
Tumblr media
DONT OWN THE PHOTO
Well hello again. I’m sorry, I feel like i’m always leaving you guys. My inbox is always open, feel free to drop a message! I love talking to you guys :) But I’ve been away in the hospital and a bunch of other things have happened. Major change in college (future pharmacist here to help) and college in general takes up a lot of my time. I also work so that doesn’t help my tumblr time... Sad. Anyways, here’s an update on this story, hope you enjoy <3 - Jess
Pairing: Jimin X Reader
Words: 3,982
Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Action
Warnings: Blood and gore, violence, pining, fluffy stuff too, If I forgot anything please let me know!
The word of the King’s passing had made it throughout the Kingdom of Arcane.
Even to you in the Northern reaches.
Hoseok told you the news, and that the Queen was taking over as interim ruler until Jimin was able to take the throne.
“How is Jimin? Is he alright?” you asked, following Hoseok through the palace like a hungry pup.
“I don’t know Lady Y/N, the word didn’t come from Lord Taehyung’s castle. The village to the East, where we get our supplies from, is where I heard the news. All the guards are in their mourning gear. So I know it isn’t a mere rumor. This King is truly dead,” Hoseok confirmed.
You held your hand to your mouth, gripping your stomach with unease. “I-I... God, Jimin must be heartbroken,” you whispered.
“What does it matter to you? There’s nothing you can do from here, no point in acting concerned for my sake,” he jabbed.
“There’s no acting, Hoseok,” you growled.
The room became tense.
“Please, Lady Y/N, we both know the truth,” Hoseok warned.
“We both have our versions of the truth, Hoseok. You believe yours, and I’ll believe mine. But don’t tamper with my truth,” you said before marching up the stairs into your room.
You wondered if Jimin was doing alright. Remembering back you know that he was more hands on with Jimin during his childhood. Being his father was important to him, although it didn’t come until he was a little older.
His father had taken him out on hunts, and taught him how to use a bow for the first time. All of these are precious memories Jimin had shared with you while drifting to sleep. He’d tell you about how he was a clumsy child, and that he’d managed to slip and shoot an apple out of a tree with his father’s prized bow.
How when he had his first gala his father had drunkenly danced with him because the other princesses were nervous to do so.
Jimin hadn’t known his father a great deal, but he did love him. And the loss of him was no doubt ravaging on his mind, and you weren’t there to comfort him. The thought of him suffering alone during this delicate time filled you with rage.
You wanted to hold him close to your chest as you soothed his cries. Brushing your fingers through his hair you’d kiss each one of his tears from his face. You wouldn’t let one fall, you’d stop them all before they could become real.
He was with his friends, Jungkook and Taehyung. Yoongi was also there, no doubt trying to comfort him in his own... indirect way? However, you knew if one of your parents passed, you’d want Jimin there with you.
Even if they had given you up... They gave you to the man whom you loved, and they raised you to the best of their ability. You didn’t hate them, you don’t think you ever could. But much like Jimin, you didn’t know them well...
The Queen was now taking on the whole burden of the Kingdom by herself... She was only a few years younger than the King, and it would no doubt take its toll on her as well. Jimin needed to become King and fast in order to preserve her health if he could.
You worried for your family whom you couldn’t see. You wished that Jimin could feel you reaching out for him.
“I may not be there, but I love you.”
Your soul ached with the message.
“I miss you,” you whispered into the cold air. You watched as your breath hung around in fog. Perhaps Jimin could hear you... Perhaps if you tried hard enough, wished long enough, he could hear you.
When the fog dissipated before your eyes, all you could think is you prayed Jimin could feel your love. Even from this distance.
---
Jimin found himself sat up at night yet again.
These tiresome evenings truly didn’t help his already sour mood.
Ever since the news of his father’s death reached him, he hadn’t been able to cry. He knows he should. He was sad... wasn’t he?
But, as sickening as it was to him, when Father Jin had approached in such a state his heart had done somersaults in his chest. And when he heard it was because of his father’s death, he had let out a sigh of relief...
Because at least it hadn’t been you.
Jimin felt disgusted with himself.
That was his father! The man who had made him, the man who had loved him as a child and tried his best to raise him and run a Kingdom at the same time... But Jimin couldn’t find it in himself to be terribly distraught.
Of course he felt sadness...
But it was nothing compared to the fear that had gripped his heart when he thought you had died in his arms. When you were stricken with poison and Father Jin had told him you weren’t to make it through the night...
Merely thinking back to the moment had his throat closing out of fear.
But you were fine, and that was what mattered to him at this moment.
His father’s death had given the Kingdom a shock, and now the Forsaken would no doubt be on the prowl for more victims.
The people needed him to take charge right now, and be their Prince. Even though he wasn’t crowned yet, he still had a duty to them as their future King. And he would perform his duties for his people, and for you.
The Southern borders were becoming desperate, and Jimin as well as Jungkook were to ride out in the morning to set up protective boundaries around the villages in that vicinity. They needed the most protection right now, and Jimin wanted to get his hands on a couple of those nasty bastards who had hurt his people... and his wife.
Jimin walked to the window, leaning out over the railing of the balcony. This was one of your favorite spots to come when you were alone. You liked looking down at the flowers and the beauty of the scenery that was before you.
He smiled sadly into the night, wondering how you were doing right now.
He was curious if the news of his father’s passing had reached you as well. No doubt Hoseok would have told you. Jimin just hoped that the brute hadn’t been rude about the delivery.
Jimin felt a soft breeze caress his face, filling his heart with an odd fluttering sensation.
“I miss you ~”
The Prince turned his head radically, looking for the source of that voice.
He knew that tone, the softness it held.
That was your voice.
He would be able to tell in a crowd of a thousand all shouting at him. Because he had committed it to his memory. How breathy it sounded in the morning, and how it was always bright when speaking with the servants or Taehyung and Jungkook. Even Yoongi and Father Jin were able to hear your sweet timbre.
“Y/N?” he asked, looking around.
There was no answer to his shout.
“Love? Can you hear me?” he croaked, biting his lip as tears came fresh to his eyes. “I miss you too,” he whimpered.
Suddenly, a warmth erupted in his chest. It made him gasp, the force of it. He looked down and held onto his calmly beating heart. It felt... it felt like you were there...
As if you had rushed forward to hold him, cradling his plump cheeks in your hands.
This was your love, he knew it to be true.
It had to be, what else could cause this sensation within him but you?
He felt his eyes grow tired, and he carried himself back to bed. He didn’t remember latching the door, but he heard the click ring in his ears. As Jimin laid down, there was a warmth that flooded your side of the bed. Grabbing at your pillows Jimin latched onto this feeling.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity... Jimin could feel you next to him, warming his chilled body with your love.
What Jimin didn’t know is that you felt it too.
His heat enveloping you in the cold air of the Northern Peninsula, keeping out the frost.
For the first time in a long while, the two of you fell asleep. And you slept throughout the night, neither of you having a single fit as you dreamed of each other...
---
It was cold on the horse Jimin realized as him and his group of fighters travelled down the roads that morning.
Jimin had woken to find your warmth was no longer there, but he wasn’t sad as he originally had been. He felt revitalized when he woke, ready to go and fight for you. For his Kingdom.
The trees were barren, a sign of the changing seasons. The conifers still showing needles in their vibrant green way. There was a feeling that hung in the air as Jimin trekked forward with his group. It wasn’t fear, nor was it any kind of anxiety... it was as if the forest knew what was to come, and she was holding her breath.
Jungkook approaches with his steed beside his Prince. He took in the more serene look on his face, as well as the melted tension in his shoulders. Jungkook smiled, hoping this meant his Prince was fairing well.
“You seem to be in a better mood, highness,” he claimed, keeping his eyes forward.
“I slept well last night,” Jimin smiled. Just thinking back to his body laying with your love near him made his heart flutter with hope. Soon, he’d see you again.
“I’m glad you did so, today will be long and difficult,” Jungkook said grim. “I want to prepare you. What we are walking into is a ravaged village that the Forsaken decided to make their own. They tend to fight dirty, do the same. They know nothing of formal tactics, use their frenzied approach to end them.”
“I’ll be efficient in my fighting, Jungkook, don’t worry. I have a Princess to fight for,” Jimin smiled.
“Wish I had one to fight for,” Jungkook grumbled.
“I heard Y/N say that her handmaiden was rather taken with you,” Jimin teased. Jungkook flushed bright pink.
“W-what? Sissel might, uh, well,” Jungkook said, rubbing his neck awkwardly. Jimin laughed good naturedly.
“I see the look of love in your eyes, don’t let it go... Chase her if you must, but don’t let this feeling leave you... it’s the hardest thing you’ll ever do,” the older man warned.
“FIRES AHEAD!” a man shouted.
Jimin looked forward and saw smoke billowing into the sky. They reached a break in the forest and the road became much thicker with mud. Red stained the ground and Jimin felt his skin prickle at the realization it was blood.
The blood of the people he couldn’t save in time.
“HOLD!” Jungkook yelled, making the group stop in their tracks. Jungkook jumped from his steed and placed his hand on his sword. Jimin sat back with bated breath, itching for something to happen. This tension was so thick he felt as though he couldn’t breathe.
Yoongi was towards the back, looking at everything with his keen eyesight. There wasn’t movement coming from the back. The village before them was on fire. As if the Forsaken had decided to make a party of their desecration of these people’s home.
A putrid scent filled the air. As if someone had urinated themselves then vomited straight after. Jimin’s stomach clenched at the disgusting smell. The whole group seemed perturbed with the new revelation to them. Some of them held their hands over their faces to keep the stench at bay. Others braved through.
Jungkook looked at the fire and a chill ran down his spine... As he hit the treeline that hit his small team from the prying eyes of their enemy, they all seemed to be in a fit of victory. Dead bodies lay in the field, some torn open as if eaten from the inside out. Others missing limbs and their flesh lay decaying beside them on the abused Earth.
“My God,” Jungkook whispered.
Towards the center of the village square is where the large bonfire was coming from. And inside it were bodies, stuck through on spikes, as if they were pigs for roasting. Some were small, others large. The disgusting creatures responsible hooted and hollered around their feast, proud of their most recent conquest.
“What’s wrong, Jungkook?” Jimin asked.
“The village has been slaughtered,” Jungkook growled. “And those bastards are having a feast, celebrating their deaths.”
Jimin’s rage flared high. His people had been murdered and now we're being made sport of. Their deaths would be avenged, by his sword he would purify this areas so their souls could rest. Their Prince would ensure that much.
“We must proceed with caution,” Yoongi spoke up from the rear. “I see archers and several foot soldiers beyond the blaze.”
“How many? Can you approximate?”
“I’d say at least half of what we are prepared with. These people didn’t go down without a fight, that much is for sure. Make haste, there appears to be a patrol heading towards us. Once they know we’re here they won’t stop until they’re dead or we are,” Yoongi warned.
“How long until contact?” Jimin asked.
“Ten minutes, maybe less,” Yoongi announced.
“Men, prepare yourselves,” Jimin spoke up. “These creatures take what they can and give nothing back. They will fight you unfairly, they will hit your weak spots and try to exploit you. Don’t let them. They are baser beings, people without love and without honor. You, are not those people. You fight here today with honor, and with the love of your Kingdom at your back. I have my trust placed in you, as your future King I am proud to fight alongside you here today. And I thank each and every one of you for your sacrifice, if it must come to that,” Jimin nodded.
“FOR ARCANE!” one man shouted.
“FOR ARCANE!” The rest echoed.
Jimin smiled at his brave men, and hoped that most would return to their families when all was said and done. He so hated writing those letters, telling someone their father or husband wouldn’t be returning to them. If he didn’t have to write another, it would be too soon.
“INTRUDERS! INTRUDERS!” A shrill, broken tone screeched from the treeline. “INTRUD-GAH!”
Jungkook stared down at the twitching corpse with fury in his eyes. His sword was red with it’s blood, and it would only continue to be stained with that color in the following hours.
“MEN!” Jungkook shouted. “CHARGE!” Jungkook bellowed as he jumped atop his horse and burst forth from the treeline. Jimin followed close after, sword already in his palm.
Arrows whizzed through the air from behind the trees, knocking down several of the foot soldiers heading towards them. Jimin said a silent thank you to Min Yoongi for drilling his men so hard the past few weeks.
Jimin saw the blood dripping down their faces as they attacked. They shoved one another out of the way, wanting each kill to be their own. They had no semblance for teamwork, for companionship. It was all greed to them, all power and desire.
Jungkook rode through the crowd, slicing down several men and women alike. Jimin cringed at the sight, but knew it was necessary. They were all monsters created from Morgana. The one whom was holding his wife’s life in the palm of her hand... And playing with it.
Jimin found that his sword weighed almost nothing when he thought of you. Did he just kill twenty? Or was it thirty? Did it matter? All of them were meaningless in his eyes. You were of the utmost importance to him.
Suddenly, he noticed one of his men’s horse go down to his left. The large animal collapsed, no doubt slashed in the leg by a Forsaken. They fought cheap, and it showed. Yanking his reins to the side, Jimin took off towards his fellow man. He was still fighting bravely, punching and stabbing at his enemies.
“Yeonsang!” Jimin yelled, coming in and reaching his hand out for his soldier.
“Highness!” he cried back, taking his arm and jumping on behind him.
“Hold on, I’m taking you back to Yoongi. You can’t be out here without a horse,” Jimin warned.
“But Highness! I can’t still help!” he argued.
“Yeonsang, your sister needs you home. Don’t be a fool and die here,” he advised.
The younger man was silent behind him, cutting down a few Forsaken that had tried to latch onto his Prince. “I will always do as you command Highness,” Yeonsang declared.
Jimin smiled yelling for his horse to move faster. The slick field was proving difficult for her, but she pushed through. Tough as nails this horse.
Breaking through the twigs, Jimin found Yoongi barking orders at his men. “Yoongi!” Jimin shouted. The Head Archer looked back to see his Prince with a fellow soldier at his back.
“Majesty, did something happen to him?” Yoongi asked.
“No, his steed is down. Take him, keep him here with you. Give the boy a bow and have him shoot from the treeline. If anyone gets too close, Yeonsang, shoot them,” Jimin said, looking over his shoulder at his comrade.
“Absolutely, Highness. At your command,” Yeonsang agreed. Yoongi trotted over, pulling the younger male to his side.
“Highness, my men are ready for their next attack. What do you advise?” Yoongi asked, raising a brow.
“I want the bulk cut down before we hit them. It’s already a bloodbath out there, and more just keep coming. We still have numbers, but I’m not sure for how long we’ll have that,” Jimin breathed.
“Then I’ll make an arch that will shoot far, but I have to get them out of their cover to make it work,” the Archer warned.
Jimin thought for a moment. Revealing their other men would make them targets. Jimin wants to save them until the brunt of the enemy is down before bringing them in for renewed battle.
“No, take a smaller group of your ment and head towards the far end of the field. Will you be able to have accuracy at that distance?”
“You question my accuracy?” Yoongi jests.
“Yoongi, now isn’t the time to be boastful. Can you make it or not?” Jimin asked.
“I can make it with Taechul and Kyubin. They are my best,” Yoongi confirmed.
“Very good, I expect it done. The rest of them should continue to pick off the stragglers that run in this direction. Yeonsang, I expect you to come out of this battle. Don’t disappoint me,” Jimin smiled, taking off towards the battle once more.
Jimin refocused his attention on the proceedings. His men were working valiantly against their targets, some seeming to be overwhelmed, Jimin tried to lessen the load by moving around strategically and cutting down some of the weight.
He was known to be the fastest riders in his Kingdom. His agility on a horse was something unheard of in this day. Jimin was able to bob and weave through several enemies without them being able to land a hit on him or his horse.
This made him almost invaluable in battle. He was able to target areas of need and aid in their fighting. Jimin was versatile enough to fight several people at once, as well as being able to hone in on specific targets. He was bred for this type of action. Strategy and knowing when and where he would be beneficial was in his blood. His father had made sure his son would be the best fighter in their Kingdom, unmatched by his fellow warriors.
But he was never arrogant.
The King had told him the best warriors were the ones who never fought with their fists first. But used their brains to know when their fists were needed. Jimin wanted to live his life by this code during times of struggle and war. So he did.
“HIGHNESS! BEHIND YOU!”
Jimin turned just in time to feel his horse give way beneath him, a pained whinny coming from the creature. Jimin quickly hauled himself into a rolling position so he could so stand on his feet.
A loud clang of steel against another metal rang in his ears. A Forsaken man who looked to be bigger than the rest stood above him, sneering. “You Prince, we fight,” he growled. Jimin scoffed and quickly moved in for an attack.
Placing a careful jab towards his side, Jimin tested his reactions. The blow was easily deflected, and Jimin knew that straight on tactics wouldn’t be the best way to defeat this target.
But was he fast on his feet?
Jimin quickly rolled to the side, making his way behind the brute before placing a slice down his back. The male cried out, then gnarled in pain. The beast moved faster, enraged that he had been bested. A sharp shove came from his opponent, making him stumble backwards. He regained his footing and ducked as another brutish assault came from the front. The man before him was trying to outsmart him, he was merely swinging and seeing what would happen. How he could make Jimin squirm.
Jimin pivoted to the right, kicking out his left leg and shoving the beasts knee inwards. A sickening crack was heard over the sounds of shouts and screams from the battle raging around them. Next, Jimin sliced right below the kneecap and watched as the Forsaken hit the ground.
It spat in Jimin’s face as he came forward to deliver the final blow. The Prince raised his arms, placing the tip of his blade right at the vile being’s throat. Just as Jimin was about to shove the blade through his chest, the Forsaken grinned at him. “Princess in trouble,” he sneered.
Jimin froze, thinking of the woman he loved. “What do you know of any Princess, filth?”
“Mistress tells us we bring her Princess, we get to eat for days. Food, but for food we bring Princess,” he coughed.
“You won’t get your hands on Y/N,” Jimin full out snarled. “You’ll all die before you could even think of touching my wife.”
“We already have,” the Forsaken man mocked. “Cold, makes Princess weak.”
Jimin’s spine ran cold.
Hoseok had said to move you to the Northernmost reaches of the Kingdom. You had never fared well in colder weather. What was he thinking, listening to the fool Hoseok?! Jimin’s heart raced in panic, making him unaware of his surroundings.
He didn’t notice the knife that had been produced from the Forsaken beneath him. It was a poisoned blade no doubt.
Jimin was too overwhelmed until he felt blood soaking through his boots. With wide eyes he looked up and saw Jungkook standing, heaving air into his lungs. “What the hell do you think you’re doing? Standing there completely vulnerable like that will get you killed!” Jungkook cried, wrapping his arms around his friend.
The Prince stood there and looked out at the battle raging on.
The Forsaken were now dwindling, heading back towards the village instead of facing out against his men in the fields. Yoongi’s archers had also taken up arms towards the back of the field as Jimin suggested.
Victory would be theirs, there wasn’t a doubt in Jimin’s mind. But, as he looked at his men chasing after the brutal enemy...
He couldn’t help feel as though his heart was to burst out of his chest.
Because he had sent you away to a place that could cause your end...

I wish you would write a Fic where Sissel saves Lewis.
I did not know I needed this in my life
**MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE END OF GHOST TRICK***
Lynne pulled up in front of the cave. “This is the place.”
The small kitten in the passenger’s seat blinked lazily at her, flicking his tail.  This is certainly an ominous looking place. Sissel’s familiar voice echoed in her mind.
“Yep,” Lynne said brightly. “The ambulance took a girl in shock and guy missing an arm earlier tonight. There’s a third person who’s missing.”
And you want to go in by yourself?
“Well, the third kid might be dead. And if I waited for backup they might object to me bringing a cat into a potential crime scene.”
Fair Sissel stretched and jumped on her shoulder. If this ended in a fatal accident for Lynne, well. It wouldn’t be the first time. Or the fifteenth.
“This cave feels just like a horror movie. Like something spooky is about to happen.”
Please don’t tempt fate Sissel pleaded. You know it doesn’t like you
“I don’t know, I got to meet you, after all.” She reached up and scratched Sissel behind the ears.
He purred loudly, leaning heavily into her hand. That is true. All levity left them though, as they turned the corner and saw what they assumed to be the body of the third member of the group impaled on a stalagmite.
Lynne’s hand flew to her mouth. She’d seen a  number of deaths and died a fair few times herself, but this was just gruesome.
“You’re going to fix this, Sissel, right?” Lynne’s normal exuberance has dissipated.
Of course, that’s why I’m here. Sissel jumped down from her shoulder and tried to make it to the body without stepping in the blood. Well, at least when he was done he’ll never have had any blood to step in in the first pace.
Sissel switched his perspective to the ghost world. Yikes  There was a familiar energy radiating from Lewis and several more cores in the cave walls and on the stalagmites than there should have been. Was there another Temsik meteor?  Maybe this cave system was formed by such a meteor crashing into the mountain?
A problem for later. Right now he had to save this guy. Sissel reached his soul outside his body and into the dead guy’s.
“ARRRRRRRTTTHHHHHHUR!”
Sissel flinched at the bellow. This ghost was certainly awake already. “Keep it down would you.”
“Wait, who’s there?” The purple man started. “A kitten? You can talk like Mystery?”
“I don’t know who Mystery is, but I can’t really talk. I can project my thoughts into people who have died.” he explained.
“Died…I’m dead… He killed me…” Rage seemed to overflow the ghost. “Arthur, you piece of shit, when I get my hands on you-!”
“Easy there big guy. Let’s work on fixing this first.”
“What’s there to fix!” the purple guy demanded. “I’m dead. You can’t fix that.”
“You can’t, but I can. You see, certain people are gifted with certain powers in death. Mine is the ability to go back in time four minutes and try to change the course of fate.”
“You…you really can do that?”
“Watch me.”  Sissel concentrated and felt time beginning to rewind. The body, the cave, the green hand that was about to grab Lynne, all of it dissolved into the past.
~
The van pulled up to the cave entrance. “We’re here!” a girl in blue proclaimed, jumping out of the passenger door with a small dog on her heels.
Vivi his guest said wistfully.
“Lewis, Arthur are you coming?”
“Calm down Vivi.” The living version of his tagalong laughed as he exited the driver’s seat, along with a sullen blond man.
Arrrrrrhur his guest growled in hatred.
I supposed that would make you Lewis? Sissel inquired, but Lewis didn’t answer, focusing on this ‘Arthur’.
The four living people entered the cave. They split up at the fork, Vivi and her dog going down and Lewis and Arthur going up, though not before Vivi gave him a kiss on his cheek that made Lewis turn red and Arthur grumble. The two made their way to the top of the path which let out over a cliff.
“Man, those are a lot of spikes down there. It looks like the jaw of some monster. Doesn’t it Arthur?… Arthur?”
Lewis turned around just in time to see his best friends hand shove him off the edge. He toppled down until the stalagmite pierced his chest, ending the recap.
“We’ve known each other since we were kids. He was my best friend and he just killed me in cold blood. Why? Was it Vivi? Damn you, Arthur. If it wasn’t for you, Vivi and me could have lived our lives happily.”
“I don’t know why he did it.” Sissel answered honestly. Though it didn’t seem as out of nowhere as his fellow ghost seemed to think. The other man had clearly been upset the entirety of those four minutes. What was the saying? ‘If you think someone goes from 0 to 60 in a second, it means you’ve failed to notice how long they’ve been at 59′. Lewis probably wouldn’t appreciate him saying that though. “Maybe we can find out, but the important thing is we change it. But first we have to get up there.”
“Up?” Lewis realized they were on the tip of the stalagmite that would kill him. He tried to move, but found himself stuck.
“We need to climb up the cores.” Sissel reached out with his soul and snagged a taller stalagmite before grasping onto one on the cave wall.
“Are we going to have enough time?” Lewis asked, worried.
“I wouldn’t want to waste a second.”
By the time they reached the top of the cliff, past Lewis and Arthur were already there.  “Man, those are a lot of spikes down there. It looks like the jaw of some monster. Doesn’t it Arthur?”
There’s not much time Sissel jumped to the torch in Past Lewis’s hands
The fire looks different Lewis commented.
It didn’t look any different to Sissel.  Maybe it’s your ghost trick? Try something?
Apparently Lewis did, because the torch suddenly flared, startling his living self and causing Arthur to take a step back and cover his face with his hand.
Lewis, I’m going to assume that’s not normal.
No, it’s not Lewis gulped.
Half of Arthur’s body was covered in an insidious green and a black and green eye was peering at them from his palm.
There’s a core in that hand, like the one in your body Sissel observed.
Is that what we need to focus on? Lewis asked.
Cores like that only appear in the dead. And it’s always in their heart, not a hand. So it’s at least worth checking out. Sissel  jumped to the core, Lewis right behind him, and entered the ghost world of whatever was in there.
“What is that?” Lewis asked in horror at the souls they found there. It was a green twisting thing, shifting between things that looked like a bat, a rat, with some of Arthur himself.
“I am the god of this cave. I can take any body I please, but I’m so tired of vermin. A living human has walked into my path, and I can’t just let that go!” it said in a voice that sounded like several talking over each other.
Sissel felt a feeling of revulsion. In all likelihood this was someone who’d died in the cave and gained the ghost trick of manipulating living bodies. That this was something his Yomiel could have become frightened him.
“You think you can just replace someone?” Lewis accused.
“Of course not!” it laughed. “First I’ll have to kill everyone close to him, so no one will come looking. Then I’ll be free.”
“That’s why you killed me!” Lewis roared. “You killed me and made me think Arthur did it! If I had that fire here I’d burn you to ashes!”
The ghost world seem to shudder. “What did you do?” The invading ghost screamed as things began to destabilize. Sissel jumped back into the torch to see what had happened.
The torch had been flung to the ground. Living Lewis had flung it aside and was standing over Arthur, shaking him.
Get away from him Ghost Lewis pleaded. It could be a trap from the monster.
It’s not, said Sissel. Look, Arthur has his own core now. Right where his heart was, radiating energy like Lewis had been. You mean Arthur’s- Lewis flung himself from the torch into the newly formed ghost world. By the time Sissel followed Lewis was cradling the unformed ghost in his arms. “Wake up, wake up, buddy . Please it’s me, it’s Lewis.” A far cry from those screams of revenge only minutes earlier.“Lewis?”  the newly formed spirit questioned. “Am I Lewis?” The unformed soul expanded until it was a duplicate of the man holding him.
“No, he’s Lewis. You’re Arthur.” Sissel corrected.
“Arthur I…oh…” The ghost shrunk back to Arthur’s normal size.
“Is that normal?” Lewis asked concerned,
“It is,” Sissel assured. “The newly dead are easily confused. Trust me.”
“Dead?” Arthur looked confused. “I’m dead? How did I die?”“I don’t know. We were talking to the thing that was controlling you-”“Controlling me? What are you talking about?”
“Being controlled by a Manipulator can mess with your memories.” Sissel explained. “I’ve dealt with a case like this before, and that was common among the victims. A Manipulator is a ghost who can control living bodies the way I can turn back time and Lewis can manipulate fire.”“So I was possessed?” Arthur clutched his head. “What did it want?”
“To steal your body and kill anyone who’d miss you. It pushed me off the cliff once. Sissel here rewound time to save me, but for some reason you died instead.”
“Oh. Mission Accomplished, I guess.” Arthur seemed to close off.
“What do you mean ‘Mission Accomplished’? You’re dead Arthur!” Lewis seemed on the verge of panic.
“And if it didn’t happen in front of you would you even notice?”
Lewis flinched back as if struck. “Of course I would notice, what are you talking about?”
“I didn’t say anything.” Arthur said defensively.
“You thought it. That’s the same thing here.” Sissel stretched. “Shouldn’t we get to fixing things?”
“Seem pretty fixed to me.” Arthur shrugged. “You wanted to save Lewis. Lewis is saved.”
“And you’re dead in my place, that’s not ‘fixed’.” Lewis sounded frustrated. “And what was that about not knowing you’d be dead if it didn’t happen in front of me?”It was obvious from the look on Arthur’s face he didn’t want to talk, but as Sissel said, thoughts were as good as words. “You’ve barely even looked at me since you started dating Vivi. Neither of you have. I’m just there in the background. You’d probably be happier if I just vanished and you could just live happily ever after with Vivi.”
It was almost word for word what he had said earlier. Lewis’s guilt was further compounded by a tiny ‘I knew it’ from Arthur, revealing just as he had heard Arthur’s thoughts, Arthur had heard his. “That doesn’t count. That was when I thought you’d murdered me.”
“You’d still be better off without a third wheel dragging you down.” Arthur refused to look Lewis in the eye.
Sissel sighed. This felt like Jowd all over again, believing his death was the ‘right’ thing for those who loved him. Well he didn’t take it from the detective and he wasn’t taking it from Arthur.
“I assume we’re going to save Arthur too,” Sissel asked, knowing the answer.
“Oh yeah, I’m not coming back to life without him.” Lewis was filled with determination.
“As you wish,” Sissel smiled as the world dissolved again. The ghost world, Arthur’s body, the green spirit leaping from his arm to Lewis’s, Mystery growing in size as he charged forward. All were erased as time rewound to four minutes earlier.
~
This was the second time Arthur and Sissel watched the van pull up, and the third time for Lewis. It was strange how different Arthur seemed each time to him. The first time he hadn’t noticed him much at all, which sadly fit into Arthur’s belief they didn’t want him here. The second time his bearing had seemed so sinister, colored as it was by his presumed murder. Now though, Arthur seemed so sad. And Lewis couldn’t help hating himself a little for how long he’d let it go on.
The scene followed past the split-up, up to the path.
There Sissel pointed out as the other ghost jumped into Arthur and he began to turn green. Lewis growled, but Arthur just seemed to observe, having no strong feelings on his own possession. At least not until his body began to advance on Lewis with a clear stance to push him over the edge.
“Man, those are a lot of spikes down there. It looks like the jaw of some monster. Doesn’t it Arthur?”
Past Lewis turned around and suddenly his torch flared up.
That still happened? I’m not touching it now? Lewis wondered.
Past you is. We’ve already changed your fate, so we’re going from the new timeline.
The monster in Arthur’s body reared back, startled by the light. Past Lewis likewise froze at seeing the inhuman color and extra eye on his friend.
“Arthur? What’s going on?” Past Lewis asked nervously. He swung the torch halfheartedly, as if he wanted to ward off the monster, but still concerned for his friend. Suddenly the flame gushed out, hitting Arthur and the invader right in their face.“NO!” Past Lewis screamed, throwing the torch aside as he ran to his friend. Arthur tried a few rattling breaths before his burned lungs gave out.
Glad I don’t remember that Arthur said dryly.
Why did the torch explode like that? We were talking to the evil spirit at the time? Lewis wondered
Sissel winced  You were talking about burning the spirit to nothing. I’m guessing you don’t need to be touching the fire to affect it
You mean I killed Arthur? Lewis sounded like he was going to be sick I…I just wanted to stop the thing possessing him. I never meant-
Lewis focus. We’re saving him. Sissel reminded. And at least now we don’t have to climb a cliff
It was true. They had begun on the spot Arthur had died. There were still cores on the walls, but nothing they could manipulate or change. Let’s get going.
I might as well stay here Arthur shrugged again Not like I’ll be much use.
Stop talking about that. Lewis chided. And besides, we might need your trick.
My what?
When you die you get a trick. Sissel can turn back time and I can amplify fire. I don’t know what you can do, but we’ll need all the help we can get
Fine Arthur sounded resigned.
As they jumped from core to core, a green bat, also with a core, flew overhead.
I think that’s our Manipulator. Probably scoping out his new body Sissel observed
But how do we stop him? Lewis wondered.
Footsteps echoed through the stone path. Past Lewis and Arthur were coming down the way. They passed under the bat, which spread its wings, ready to take flight.
Lewis now! Fire up that torch Sissel commanded.
The flames leapt up, flash frying the bat, which collapsed with a small screech.
“What just happened?” Past Lewis exclaimed as Past Arthur jumped back. “Oh no, poor thing.” Lewis started to move towards the bat.Stay away from it! Arthur called out in panic, not wanting to see Lewis get possessed by the creature.
“What was that Artie?” Past Lewis turned his head.
“I didn’t say anything,” Past Arthur protested.
“You didn’t tell me to stay away from the bat?”
“No, but you probably should. It might have been rabid,” Past Arthur pointed out.
The three ghosts were stunned.
Your trick is being heard by the living Sissel said in disbelief. Do you have ANY idea how useful that would have been?
You saved us Lewis cheered. Now the Manipulator can’t steal my body
You burned the guy in the first place Arthur sounded pleased with the praise, even as he tried to deflect it.
Sadly, we’re not out of the woods yet A sickly green spirit jumped from the dead bat’s body into a another one, which took off after their living selves.
Oh hell no. Lewis growled, trying to take off after him.
And now he’s going to be on the look out for fire Arthur bemoaned We’re not going to catch him like that again. What can we-
He was interrupted by a slight jangling sound as a small dog followed the boys up the path.
Mystery! Arthur called out, causing the dog to stop
“Arthur?”
He can talk? Sissel asked puzzled. Sure dogs could talk in the spirit world, where all thoughts were connected. But in the living world?
I’m a ghost. Lewis is here too and another ghost named SIssel. There’s something in this cave Sissel calls a Manipulator that steals bodies. It killed us but Sissel can reverse time a little so we’re trying to keep our past selves alive and uncontrolled.
Sissel barely had time to jump to the dogtag and Arthur to his glasses before Mystery took off at a run.
Lewis, jump on his collar! Sissel yelled as they ran past to the ghost still trying to catch up to the bat. He jumped just in time and the dog and three ghosts charged down the path.“Lewis, Arthur, you have to get out of here!” Mystery called out as he caught up with them.
Tell them it’s a natural gas leak Ghost Arthur whispered to him They might argue a supernatural occurrence, but no one’s staying around to inhale more methane.
It was a fair point, and Mystery admired the ghost’s quick thinking. He did not want to take the time to debate whether or not a ghost existed and why they shouldn’t stay to study it if it did. “I smelled something strange on this path. I think there’s some build up of natural gas in this cave.“
“Oh god, that makes sense.” Past Arthur’s eyes widened in realization. “The reports of bad feelings and strange behavior were from methane poisoning. And the thing that happened with your torch earlier!”
All the color drained from Past Lewis’s face. “Vivi! I need to get to Vivi!” He took off running, with Arthur at his heels shouting for him to be careful.
There he is! Lewis shouted as a green bat curved around the group, aiming for Past Arthur’s unguarded back.
As silent as an owl going in for the kill, Mystery leapt up, grabbed the bat, and landed without a sound.
You’ll do it cackled, reaching from the bat to the dog.
Their Past selves never saw, they had already turned a corner, but in that instant Mystery grew several magnitudes his normal size, snout lengthening and several more tails popping up. He let loose a surge of power that knocked the green spirit bat into the bat and rattled the three riders.
Um, I was under the impression Mystery was a dog. For the first time nervousness filled Sissel’s voice. Because as far as I know dogs don’t change in size and can’t do that to ghosts.
No, that was our understanding too. Lewis sounded as shaken as Sissel sounded.
Mystery kept the Manipulator pinned beneath his paw. Listening to Past Lewis and Arthur find Vivi and the three of them heading upward. He then grabbed the now injured bat and flung it off the edge, before shrinking back down.
“It should be sealed in that form. Hopefully it’s helpless to harm anyone else.” Mystery said, shrinking back down.
I have several questions, Arthur mumbled.
Let’s head out. Once we know your past selves are safe I can collapse the timeline and set this as the actual events.
Arthur relayed this to Mystery, who shuddered. “Sissel, your powers are terrifying.”
Right back at him
Mystery ran back to the entrance, meeting up with his humans at the intersection. They ran out the entrance as fast as they could.
That should be good. I’m going to return to my present which should set the timeline
Sissel let go and found himself shooting through time, to the couple of hours in the future, the same time Lynne had brought him to the cave.
~
“You can’t still be sulking,” Lewis chuckled as he drove.
“I really thought when might find something this time.” Vivi pouted. “Instead it was just a hazard zone,”
“Case is still solved though.” Arthur said in a monotone voice from the back seat.
“But it’s not satisfying,” She grumbled.
“It’s not about it being satisfying.” Lewis was grinning.”It’s about - Holy crap!” Lewis slammed the brakes of the van as Arthur sat up, screaming.
“What is it?” Vivi swung her head around, trying to see what happened.
“Did that really happen?” Arthur asked his voice shaking. “Mystery? Sissel?”
It did came a voice only Arthur and Lewis heard from Mystery’s dog tag.
An expletive slipped from Lewis’s lips as he slumped over.
“So you do remember,” Mystery said, curious.
“Can someone explain what’s happening? What’s wrong that everyone seems to know about but me?”
“There was a malevolent entity in the cave. Thankfully there was a benevolent one too, by the name of Sissel.” Mystery explained.
“Then we have to go back!” A grin spread across Vivi’s face. “Let’s check out these entities.”
“Vivi no!” Lewis’s voice was firm in a way he never was with her.
“But-”
“Vivi, Sissel’s power is to rewind time when he comes in contact with a corpse. The corpse he used was Lewis’s.” Arthur explained.
All the excitement left Vivi as that. “Lewis’s?”
“Arthur died too.” Lewis squinted at him in the rear view mirror. “Don’t downplay your own death.”
VIvi was gray by this point. “You died? You both died?” she said in a voice so small it didn’t seem like it could come from her.
Lewis hugged her, so glad he had arms to do so. “We did, but Sissel, who’s currently haunting Mystery’s dog tag, brought us back.”
“Thank you Sissel,” Vivi turned around to face the dog tag. “I can never repay you for what you’ve done.”
It’s what I do. The cat said happily. If you drop me off at a land line I can make my way back to my people. I need to tell them about the Manipulator.
“Will do.” Lewis started to get the van moving again.“Wait, Sissel said he couldn’t talk to the living. How come we can hear him now?” Arthur wondered.
“Hear who?” Vivi asked. “I haven’t heard anyone?”
“Nor I, though I vaguely sense his presence in my tag.” Mystery confirmed.
Side effect of being dead. Sissel explained. You now have cores of your own, so you can hear me, and presumably other ghosts.
“Don’t want to think about that too much.” Lewis adjusted the route he was taking. “Sorry Vi, but after all of this I think our ghost tour needs to wait.”
“You died, Lew. You really think I have a problem with you wanting to go home?” She leaned against this arm, as if making sure he was still there.
“Once we get home we’ll get you to a landline, Sissel.” Lewis promised. “And first thing tomorrow we start looking into therapy for Arthur.”
“Wait, what?” Arthur sat up straight. “Why therapy for me? We both went through the same thing?”
“Because my reaction to being killed wasn’t ‘I guess this is for the best’. This isn’t a gloomy phase you’re going through, this is depression. And I’m not losing you to it any more than I am to the Manipulator,”
Had Jowd been depressed too? Sissel wondered. Was that why he had himself locked in a cage and all but refused to save himself until his daughter was in danger. He’d after to ask.
After he told them about the second Temsik site and manipulator, of course. It would be a lot of work, but it was something his whole colony could come together on, and those were always good.
And it may be his feline curiosity, but he kind of hoped they discussed what the hell that ‘dog’ was before sending him on his way.

Yuletide letter 2018
AO3: laughingpineapple
Hello dear author, I’m glad we share one of these wonderful little fandoms and I hope you’ll have fun writing for it. The sections aren’t all of equal length for one reason or another but I love them all so much, from the classics I’ve been requesting since I started doing Yuletide (can’t have enough of those!) to this year’s shiny new findings. I tried to leave both specific and non-specific prompts for each canon and, again, I wanna see the farfetched postcanon scenario just as much as the vague one-word prompt and my general likes. Pick whatever works for you, or mix and match!
Likes: worldbuilding, slice of life (doubly so if the event the fic focuses on is made up but canon-specific), missing moments, 5+1 and similar formats, bonding and emotional support/intimacy, physical intimacy, lingering touches, loyalty, casefic, surrealism, established relationships, future fic, hurt/comfort or just comfort from the ample canon hurt, throwing characters into non-canon environments, banter, functional relationships between dysfunctional individuals, unexplained mysteries, bittersweet moods, journal/epistolary fic, dreams and memories and identities, canon-adjacent tropey plots , outsider POV, UST, exploration of secondary bits of canon, leaning on the uniqueness of the canon setting/mood, found families, characters reuniting after a long and/or harrowing time, friends-to-lovers, road trips, cuddling, wintry moods, flannel, ridiculous concepts played straight, creating a dynamic between characters who never spoke in canon, sensory details, sickfic
Cool with: what-ifs, AUs, any tense, any pov, any rating, plotty, not plotty, gen, shippy, IF, nerdy canon references, unrequested characters popping up
DNW: non-canonical rape, non-canonical children, unrequested ships, canon retellings, consent issues
Ghost Trick: Cabanela, Jowd
General: platonic or romantic, loyalty kink here we go, in any shape and form. Night time and secrets. Out of town. Knitwear. Twenty years from now. Size difference. UST. Cabanela’s scarf being in the way sometimes. Cabanela’s legs being in the way sometimes. I have Final Fantasy on my mind a lot recently so any FFIV, VI, VII, T, IX, X, XII or XIII reimagining would be fantastic (Monk Jowd, dancer/red mage Cabanela...?), or indeed The Last Remnant, but also regular fantasy, space opera, sci-fantasy… anything fancy!
Canon-specific dislikes: Sissel not being Jowd’s cat in the new timeline (which ofc doesn’t shut out Yomiel’s unbreakable bond with his cat – as the saying goes, Sissel has four paws...), infidelity
Cabanela&Jowd or Cabanela/Jowd: I love Cabanela being fierce and dazzling bright and determined and loyal to the very end, dancing to his own rhythm, so sure of himself and of his ideas that he doesn’t even need to prove to anyone that he’s right. Too sure of the wrong idea, once, and everything crashed and burned. And I love Jowd being the immovable object to Cabanela’s unstoppable force, a self-depreciating asshole with a penchant for gallows humor that grows more morbid by the hour, and also incredibly smart (both jerks figured out Sissel’s powers better than Sissel did) and athletic and with an unsuspected talent for stealth.
I ship them dearly, as part of a triad (or Jowd-centered V...? Has it been explored?) with Alma with all the fun possibilities of the third party sneaking into the marriage and negotiating that relationship. Or adjusting to a life together with Kamila in a no-reset scenario or a what-if in which Alma was never around (please no breakups or noncanon deaths if you don't want her around).  But I also want to read all the best friends fic with the corniest, most intense found family dynamics you can muster!
Alternate scenario where it’s Cabanela who keeps his memories, not Jowd: how does that change their dynamic in the new timeline? Or what if Cabanela stays dead in ch15 like he wished he could, joins the rest of the gang as a ghost and goes back 10 years with the others and so both of them keep their memories? (with my apologies to Yomiel, whose ch16-17 redemption has just been made a lot harder by the added stowaway)
Jowd knowing how much Cabs did for him and remembering him broken and bloodied is A Lot. especially if he’s a lil into it (and mr spotless is. not really on the same page.)
Casefic! With ghosts! There could be a new ghost created by Temsik’s shards or even by some unfortunate soul dying on top of the buried meteorite. Or with their own ghost, teaming up with Sissel! There’s so much potential for tense, death-defying situations! (with make-outs afterwards, if that’s your thing)
Deathfic, until it’s reverted. Jowd dying in Cabanela’s arms or the other way round, but one of them knows about Sissel and the other does not…
Jowd’s loyalty to Cabanela being tested for once, as a change of pace.
More detailed prompts for a few FF fusion AUs: FFX, Summoner Jowd and reluctant Guardian Cabanela. Any moment of their pilgrimage could be fun (and/or tragic and/or intense), or if you like a more detailed prompt, would Yunalesca’s truths be the tipping point of Jowd’s conviction? Would Cabanela manage to drag himself and his Summoner to safety before she killed them? What would life look for them afterwards as survivors bearing forbidden truths, would they stay away from Yevon? FFTA or XII, viera Cabanela and nu mou or bangaa Jowd. I’m sure there’s a poignant plot about magic-endowing extraterrestrial rocks and political backstabbing somewhere at the intersection of Ivalice and GT. If you can see it, I’m here to read it. But I’ll be honest here, the real point here is bunny Cabs. Please consider bunny Cabs. (viera, nu mou, bangaa visual refs for non-FFTA players who might wanna do a regular fantasy AU instead?) FFVI, Cabanela faked defecting to the Empire and is a magitek-infused officer while Jowd has Blitz and... Sketch somehow? And they meet again in the World of Ruin and things are very emotional?
The Last Remnant: Any (Pagus, Maddox, Sibal, David)
General: characterization based on battle quotes, red bubble dialogues, and even their unique stat (‘authority’ is a natural fit for David but ‘romance’ tells me something new about Sibal!) Character interaction. Bit of worldbuilding. What’s another festival they celebrate? Do they erect something else instead of the Valeria Heart? Any fun discoveries down in Siebenbur? Where the hell IS Veyriel, anyway, do they go look for it and if so what do they find out? End of an age. Old bonds.
Canon-specific dislikes: strong narrative emphasis on game mechanics. Stuff like mentioning that a character leads a unit is fine, but for example listing the materials they need for their weapon upgrade would take me out of the story.
The Qsiti bunch: just give me the deets on Qsiti worlduilding and I’ll be a happy camper. I ship these three very much but I’m also invested in their friendship and in each of them as a singular character. The fact that Pagus is a goddamn catch is one of my favorite things, and he can be a smart cookie with any of the other smart cookies in the party, or be a history buff with Glenys, or tutor Yuniver. Proud, paranoid chatterbox Maddox entrenched in his cover-up stories, finding it hard to stop being a spy and relax, maybe spending time with someone very simple, like Sheryl, or a very different kind of fellow veteran like Roberto. Self-assured Sibal who probably knows a lot about the mysteries of the underground world and is also the most romantic soul out of the entire cast, talking volcanoes with Paris or discussing the Rainbow Bond with Haruko? If you also like all three of them, either as old friends or as a ship, who of them comes up with what excuse to reconnect again now that Remnants are no more, or do they drop all pretenses and admit they just want to make up for lost time? And what do Qsiti cuddles look like?
David: Post-canon, adjusting to a life without remnants - how did it feel to be bound to one or two of them anyway, and what’s it like without, and suddenly knowing you’ll be the first Nassau in who knows how long who’ll reach old age? - and without Rush. Finding support and friendship even outside his trusted Generals. I’d be interested in seeing him get closer to any unique leader you might like, I can easily see half the characters absolutely adoring him sooner or later. From the Duke of Ghor to Roberto, to sweet Zolean who knows what it’s like to lose someone dear and hope he comes back, or Rhagoh & Remnant Kate, or Paris or Jager or, eventually, even Allan… David/Rush prompts: focus on Rush’s supernatural nature, how he was a strange boy with a good heart (Things Unchangeable meant so much to me!) who ignored human social conventions because he was not in fact human. Reunion fic more than a decade into the future, showing how David has changed and with emphasis on Rush’s Remnant nature.
David & Qsiti: basically a mix of the other prompts. David is close to all his Generals but what’s his dynamic with Pagus specifically? Is he a mentor, a friend, did Pagus stop David once when he was about to do something very stupid? And what can David learn about his dear General from people who have known him since long before David was born?
Myst: Yeesha, Jeff Zandi
General: The oddest of friendships. Road trip. Desert sunrise. Desert bird shenanigans, be it with actual roadrunners speeding by or cartoon ones. Descent. An oddly shaped rock. Strangers. Shooting stars. Any line from Words.
Canon-specific dislikes: please no Yeesha bashing?
Yeesha & Jeff: He’s definitely Team Yeesha and she could definitely do with a friend, the year is 2018 and I still want fic about this unlikely duo.
How much can he really say he gets her? When did they meet? Was it when a younger Jeff was exploring D’ni with his father Elias, did that create a rift between the two?
What do they do when they hang out? Has he played the Myst games – heck, has she? Does he play Magic the Gathering like his RL counterpart?
Do they set out on a road trip because she needs to chill for a hot minute and experience for herself that whole ‘you shall seek the journey’ thing? Late night driving and liminal places could be cool. Or does she link him somewhere cool with no travel time needed?
Do they agree to meet by his camp fire once a month or something like that, and one time Yeesha doesn’t show up? What happened?
Does he get to hang out with bahro thanks to her, in the depths of the Cavern where the DRC will never be able to reach, and what’s that encounter like for him (and for her, and for the bahro)?
Maybe some relaxing time can take place after End of Ages. He’d notice that something has changed, she’s somewhat less of a depressed wreck that she used to be...
Speaking of End of Ages, was Jeff chosen by the Tablet? If so, how did he fail his quest? I appreciate Esher a lot so if you go for an EoA plot feel free to use him too.
Anything based on Uru history is great!
The Secret History of Twin Peaks: Tammy Preston
General: Character dossiers that involve Tammy more directly. TSHOTP themes being used front and center. Owls, figurative and otherwise. Tammy Fashion™. Tammy Freeform Infodump™. The risks of staring into the void for too long. Gentle illusions. The moon. Static buzzing. Any title from the s3 ethereal whooshing compilation used as a prompt, actually. AUs and fusion AUs are great for this fandom! I have Final Fantasy on my mind a lot recently so any FFVI, VII, T, IX, X, XII or XIII reimagining would be fantastic (what would Tammy even be... scholar, fencer, mystic knight...?), or indeed The Last Remnant, but also regular fantasy, space opera, sci-fantasy... anything fancy!
Canon-specific dislikes: Gordon being a harmless, fun dad or conversely having the worst intentions. Clear explanations for canonical ambiguities.
(my Twin Peaks canon-specific likes and dislikes in the next section may also apply)
Tammy: what I find fascinating about Tammy’s positioning in the narrative of the books (and of the show, but not as markedly) is that there is this whole narrative of trauma, and the circularity of trauma, even within Blue Rose and the organizations that came before it, and she stands at the end of it and learns about it all without being directly involved. She can learn from it in a sheltered position. Maybe when her turn will come, she’ll know a little better. Her name’s anagram is Praemonstrata, “Having been guided”. She’s the new Archivist, in a way. She’s the future of Blue Rose, last woman standing as soon as Albert and Gordon retire and/or vanish (and after the show’s finale, I can’t see either of them lasting long). What does it all mean, in the context of the book’s overarching theme of secrets VS mysteries and the cost of knowledge (and the show’s connections between trauma and the fragmentation of the self, and TFD’s doubling down on the general concept of shoveling oneself out of the shit, and her moving final considerations)?
What could be a test for her, something that would involve her personally and make her risk losing her way? What makes her tick - would she cross to other worlds, how, and why?
I don’t know much about aliens, but I really enjoyed how the book wove it all into Twin Peaks lore. If you want to do the same with some other bit of UFO trivia and have Tammy draw her connections, I’m interested!
The books show that she’s not only Albert’s spiritual successor as the only other rationally-inclined soul in there, she also knows Albert personally to some extent, for example that he’s a jazz lover. Have they ever gone drinking in cool (LGBT…?) clubs with fancy live music? Are they jazz buddies or what kind of music is she into (and what does he have to say about her tastes)?
What other characters or pieces of TP history would she look into? What about that Diane dossier, for example? What about Lucy? (If you have her look into Diane, please be empathetic toward her and her tulpa)
Twin Peaks: Harry Truman, Lucy Moran, Chet Desmond, Garland Briggs
This one is an OR request – feel free to only write about some of these people and completely ignore the others. There were just too many good characters in the tagset and I couldn’t choose so, you know, to hell with matchability. The prompts are for the characters on their own or with some nominated canon mates but if you have an idea for Ruby&Lucy, Garland&Albert, Harry&Naido or any other odd combo, go for it!
General: the mystery of the woods, obviously. How do they relate to the woods, what do they gain and what do they lose in the woods. Case fic but they don’t find out jack shit, someone disappears, David Bowie was there, it’s complicated. Fragmented, shifted, mirrored identities. New Lodge spaces. Still any title from the s3 ethereal whooshing compilation used as a prompt. When in doubt, add Margaret. AUs and fusion AUs are great for this fandom! I have Final Fantasy on my mind a lot recently so any FFVI, VII, T, IX, X, XII or XIII reimagining would be fantastic (paladin Harry, dancer Lucy, fighter Chet, sage Garland...?), or indeed The Last Remnant, but also regular fantasy, space opera, sci-fantasy... anything fancy!
Canon-specific Dislikes: any singular Dreamer being the ‘source’ of canon, BOB (let alone Judy) being forever defeated in the finale, Judy being an active malevolent presence in the characters’ lives, ‘Odessaverse’ being the reality layer, the Fireman's House by the Sea being the White Lodge, Naido being nothing more than Diane but since she was nominated as her own character I'm hopeful here
(my Secret History of Twin Peaks canon-specific likes and dislikes in the previous section may also apply)
Harry: Bookhouse Boy Harry both in the sense of avid reader Harry promoting literacy and vague bastion against the evil in the woods Harry. Harry getting a sword out of a pond in the woods like he was meant to but , like, in a way that’s less random kitsch and more meaningful magical realism. Harry and Frank as actual brothers but also Frank as a projection of Harry’s insecurities. Harry, Ed and Hawk as friends. Harry finding some sense of belonging somewhere, somehow.
Lucy: Kimmy Robertson said she would like to be the color blue in Lynch’s palette, if the prompt works for you. Lucy taking her time to understand and organize the world around her. Lucy with Andy (the one functional couple in all of canon, bless), with Wally, with Maggie Brown and the rest of the new sheriff’s station cast. Lucy with people who don’t usually appreciate her (both sheriffs and Albert come to mind) but have to come to terms with the fact that she’s amazing. I also like that Hawk is a first-class gossip, apparently, and so is Lucy, so if THAT prompts works for you… last but not least, she seems to have some sort of connection with the symbolic weave of reality (picking chairs when a very important chair is introduced, wondering about bunnies and Jack Rabbit palace will be relevant, Robertson said that Lynch said that Lucy perceives a lot and needs time to sort it all out) and I’d love to see it explored one way or another. If you wanna go wild with meta Invitation to Love shenanigans, Lucy could be a good POV character.
Chet: What’s his deal? Empirically, new canon draws a hell of a lot of connections between personal troubles and being jettisoned out of reality. So why did he? A friend recalls that he was named after Chet Baker and Norma Desmond, so that could be a starting point. I like to think that he manages to pull himself together at some point and make it back – how? Does he find any familiar faces beyond the curtains, like Phil? Finally, like all Blue Rose and Sheriff’s station characters, when all other prompts fail: office shenanigans. Please. Now that they’ve all been blatantly retconned as a merry gang who coexisted at some point, please give me Chet bouncing off literally any other named character in there.
Garland: He’s a good bean, almost naive compared to Doug Milford & co in TSHOTP, and I wish him the best wherever he is... the metaphysical adventures of Garland’s floating head could be a fic (maybe Bill Hastings and Ruth Davenport could tag along). Or back when he was alive, weird occurrences at Listening Post Alpha up on Blue Pine mountain. He wasn’t born in town, so what’s HIS relationship with the woods? Or an encounter with some of the federal cast, like Gordon and Phil or a very young Albert. I’m also intrigued by his s3 narrative but I have a very negative view of The Plan(tm) so I don’t really know what to make of it. If you also think that the Fireman’s hints only ended in tragedy and that Blue Rose’s search for Judy was a monumental act of hubris, and you have a good spin for Garland’s role in all of this, I’m listening! All I got is something like "he gave his last fuck... now he's free....." (not that Garland is legally allowed to say fuck, I mean)
Albert/Harry: my main headcanon is that they got together in the aftermath of Coop’s disappearance, holding onto each other in his absence not unlike James and Donna did with Laura. Then... did they last? Or was it a terrible moment to get together (...not unlike James and Donna) and they had to go their separate ways for a while before finding each other again? Does this sad time last up until the end of s3, when Albert can finally quit the castle of lies that was his job and stay with Harry? I am also, however, open to other timelines for these two. Emotional reunions are great and so is domestic fic with a dash of surrealism. What would Harry do for Albert? For example, when would he take his side in a heated dispute with someone else? What would Albert share about his past? What could they do in town? Or do they take a well-deserved vacation somewhere else? Do they team up for a small investigation? Old men taking care of each other is very much welcome, especially after Harry gets through the worst of his treatments.
Dale/Harry: Harry seeing his Coop again... somewhere, somehow. Maybe he perceives him in the woods, maybe Coop isn't all human now. Monster cuddles very welcome. Could be canon divergence but could very well be post-s3. Harry getting closure for waiting all that time in front of Glastonbury and never giving up on Coop... they can live in the woods together...
Harry&Lucy: what could make them spend some time together outside of work (is it donuts)? Does he ask for relationship advice since she and Andy are literally the only people in town who could make it work? Does she feel loyal to him and Frank or is it just a job to her? Does she go visit him after s3 and does he tell her that she was very brave? What about Wally - Harry is the boy’s godfather after all, I don’t usually read kidfic but I can make all sorts of exceptions for my beloved Wally (maybe when he’s more of a teen than a kid). Are they all fans of Marlon Brando?
Chet/Sam: reunion fic! Chet’s been AWOL for years, Sam has fallen through the cracks, how do they find each other again and why do they choose to remain off the grid? I would also like to read about them in the present day-ish, handwaving the return and reunion. Maybe they made a new life for themselves. If Sutherland were to play Sam again, Sam would be... notably more buff. What caused that change, was it traveling with Chet, what kind of person is he now? Could they be in Buenos Aires, investigating on their own whatever that shrinking box was?
Chet&Dale: In which ways are they both real boys and in which ways are they aspects of each other? How do they work together?
Chet/Albert: whatever passes for an uncomplicated office romance around those parts, where they both know very well that they’re not the other’s One True Love, but they have a good understanding - except when Albert’s pacifism clashes with Chet‘s readiness to throw down 24/7. But then again Albert is also ready to throw down 24/7, only with words instead of fists, so there’s fertile ground for conflict and unexpected agreements. Also they’re hot.
Garland&Harry: they’re both good dogs living in a cold and cruel world, with their own partial experiences of other worlds beyond this tangible reality, and I think they should be at least a little friends. Maybe Harry found himself at Garland’s observatory one day without even knowing how he’d gotten there, maybe they chatted at the RR. Then there’s Mfrost spitballing some connection which, given how Garland ‘died’ literally on the day after s2, can only be read as Harry passing his info to Garland when Garland was already beyond this world. I’d read that in a heartbeat.

GHOST TRICK: THE BIG FINALE
so I finished the game yesterday all on my lonesome without internet
why yes I am perfectly fine and not emotionally compromised in the slightest
enjoy my screaming
IT'S GHOST TRICKING TIME which is to say it's ghost tricking time without internet so I'm doing this in wordpad tumblr really needs an 'import rtf' function >_>
SO from what I remember, when last we left off I was about to try to figure out how the fuck a knitted cap and a helmet are going to help me stop a bullet LET'S DIVE RIGHT BACK INTO THIS FOLKS
I still love how Sissel just ignores the dog's little 'WHATS A HOSTAGE O NO' instead of digging into explaining it
oh thank god the game DOES remember ive read this text before
...oh, I forgot how I did this the last time O WELL
all right, so I remember swiveling the lamp and dropping the hard hat, then when the knitted cap is over here I can swap it with the book and get it on the hook but how did I get the knitted cap over here
aha, he looked away for a moment, the helmet part is done what the fuck do i do now
AHA okay, so now i very quickly cart the ladder back and forth, I think I remember this
fuck, he noticed me, okay don't swivel the lamp while he's watching, swivel it while he's still looking away
I gotta note the 'I don't know why you're wearing my face' part HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
fuck, nope, I can't swivel the lamp back at that moment because he notices it clattering and turns right around FUCK OKAY LET'S TRY TO DO IT WITH THE LAMP THERE
ugh, if only I could do shit during the cutscene while he rolls away >_>
OK I SHOULD HAVE HAD MORE TRUST IN MISSILE HE IS GREAT AND A VERY GOOD DOG AND CAN AIM FOR SPLIT SECOND TIMING OF A BULLET BEING IN THE AIR OKAY
haha, and the knitted hat still hit Cabanela with enough velocity to knock him over I love this and I particularly love his dramatic leg up in the air he doesn't evne know what's happening he just aims to be the most dramatic possible at all times and it's really helping us out <3
'i love knitted hats... so warm, and most of all, so SOFT' <3 <3 <3
god Missile is so good this is pain IS THE DAWN DEADLINE A LIE MAYBE DID RAY JUST SAY THAT TO GET SISSEL'S BUTT MOVING I DON'T KNOW
oh yeah Cabanela's still got broken bones all over I kind of forgot about that
oh ok, looks less like broken and more like just really fucking bruised, becuase in that movement he's put pressure on all limb bones and nothing bent out of shape, so that's good
lmao and Cabanela's just like 'BUT IF I WAS KILLED IN THAT EXPLOSION THE SITUATION WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER' I I don't think it would necessarily work out that way, considering how much difficulty our protagonist was having saving just the professor :x
oh hey we've got our next source of information! should be quite a wellspring if Sissel remembers everything he should ask
yeeep Cabanela you FUCKED UP
oh, the gun :x
HON IM PRETTY SURE THE FIRST PART IS MORE IMPORTANT THE PART WHERE YOU TRIED TO SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF HIM CORNERED RATS BITE THIS IS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY YOUR FAULT, ALL OF IT
aha, those cases, okay
and Cabanela was doing the thing because of Jowd that makes sense -_- kind of
yep, that one little snag kind of puts a question mark on the whole thing alright, that almost makes sense? kind of? makes Cabanela kind of a selfish butt doing this for his own obsession rather than for personally Jowd but makes sense
ok, the bringing him to justice minister to buy time thing actually does make a lot of sense it wasn't A LOT of time that he bought but it was just enough and that's what counts
oh hey, this guy used to have the job that the blue fake stole? (and yeah sounds like blue guys are just foreigners -_- bc they couldnt find spies that didnt stand out visually or anything)
hum not a scratch, huh regenerating dead body, okay
oh come ON Sissel don't be surprised now that part was obvious from the moment he said the corpse disappeared the meteorite's radiation, okay, quite interesting :D
"it was like a meteorite had struck me on the head" so, has that been a cause of death today yet, because if it hasn't, this looks like foreshadowing -_-
hum, so the gun would have been loaded because he controlled Kamila, which she then wouldn't have a clear memory of makes sense
HI LYNNE JUST IN TIME
arrest her to keep her safe, that actually makes perfect sense IF ONLY IT HAD WORKED LMAO no wonder pigeon guy roasted him for that in the deleted timeline XD
"while he was at it" <3 <3 <3
awwww pigeon guy was friends with him too <3
hee right on top of his striped jumpsuit honestly he looked less escaped-from-prison-ish in the paint-splattered robe thing XD
a present, huh?
awww see Sissel you don't feel lonely and that's what counts
ALRIGHT THEN :D LET'S FUCKING GO :D AND, UH, DO SOMETHING, I GUESS I love how out of proportion Sissel's powers are rewind time, talk to dead people... and move small objects a little
so, uh, Sissel, are you sure there's answers for YOU over there or did you just get into habit of telling this to yourself to feel better
okay well how the fuck did Jowd infiltrate a fucking SUBMARINE like, I just want to know the physics of how this happened?
omfg the bullet had a radio transmitter well, I have a newfound respect for Cabanela, I gotta admit like I already respected him but I just figured he shot the guy out of a desperate 'can't do anything else might as well try this' urge to do SOMETHING but nope he had a plan (which would have worked even with him dead)
wow, and he actually gave the thing to Jowd beforehand n i c e
wow, okay, that's stealthy
aha, and he can totally leave his body and wander around freely I think that was already confirmed but it's nice to know for even surer
wow, okay, what the fuck re: that thing reaching up from below that definitely looked like... something else for a moment there 0.0
aand okay the meteorite is possible to extract from his body I wonder if evil!Sissel actually knew that... or if that actually did anything to him :D
okay, what the FUCK and how many more people are dead now
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW MISSILE IS HERE TOOOOOOOO
the phone is ringing, how convenient :D
ooohkay this is tricky
so, why the fuck were there baseball and basketball balls hanging in nets under the ceiling on a submarine ... ... you know what I don't want to know
wait, Kamila can't hear him? oh, right, over the phone ghosts communicate by close range telepathy
aaand this makes the FIFTH time Lynne's dead tonight! or is it sixth? did i lose track somewhere?
AWWWW THIS SCENE IS LIKE AN OVERDOSE OF CUTE
'i wonder what happened THIS TIME' yep lmao
no actually 'i dont remember what happened after that' sounds like evil!Sissel to me, personally
but do you know what this wheel does Sissel are you sure turning it is a good idea
"I just sort of blacked out, the next thing I knew, I was dead" <3 <3 <3
"now it's all making even less sense than before" AND THAT'S SAYING *SOMETHING*
but actually okay yea this does kind of sound like an explosion that killed Lynne and knocked Kamila out
aaand nope I was absolutely correct )=
can this guy only puppet one body at a time? couldn't he have just possessed Lynne and had her slit her own throat or shoot herself or hang herself or something? that sounds a lot more productive than having a little girl fight her I mean, even if he only can puppet one body at a time, puppetting Lynne would have been a lot more productive overall, is there a reason he can't?...
or does he just love to do things in the most convoluted and roundabout manner typical to villains everywhere -_-
"nobody ever calls the dead" ARGUABLE a number of phone calls has been made this night specifically for the purpose of putting our!Sissel on the line
aand okay :D looks like the blue assholes saved Lynne just in time, sort of ...for a certain definition of 'saved'
so anyway this guy said something like 'you cannot possibly comprehend my suffering' so it would be funny if he was just a random dumbass that a bad thing hapened to one (1) time, which granted also killed him, but all the misery since then has been of his own making and he's put every single person involved in the events through worse just over the course of tonight, and simply has no sense of scale, perspective or proportion I think that would be great if the story went there XD EDITOR'S NOTE IN RETROSPECT: the story didn't go there and that was not fucking okay (it's dead women in the fridge again!)
and Sissel can't understand revenge as a concept SOUL TWINSIES WITH ME OR WHAT
lmao Lynne is starting to get touchy about how many times she's needed rescue lately XD
OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE WHY CAN'T I REACH FOR ANYTHING YET also, interesting to note that in the 4 minutes ago past, neither Lynne nor Kamila have a core looks like Sissel's interaction with this realm is limited after all, and not only by phones there's v interesting existential fuckery going on here, of the exact sort I ABSOLUTELY LOVE
oh THERE we go 'nobody ever calls the dead' ARGUABLE again and I love Lynne's signature instant-snap-into-hands-over-head animation + pose Good Reflexes
ALRIGHT, FIDDLING WITH RANDOM SHIT WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT IT MIGHT DO TIME ...and that sure worked fast
hum, a random mechanic, alright
oh hon that's a, um, what's the opposite of exaggeration I know this word in Russian >_> over...littlification? that 'restless ghosts onboard' THAT'S ONE WAY TO PUT THAT
lmao that was one odd fate change
alright, found the temsik fragment capsule, I see yay unexpectedly strong wastebucket lids (seriously, that's a whole freaking basketball, there's a reason the nets worked like that lmao)
alright, just watching the cutscene for now, that's fair this guy sure looks like he's going to abandon his entire crew and blow up the sub or something
"farewell, sir" WELL THAT DID NOT SOUND QUITE RIGHT
alright, and we're left in the capsule rather than the fragment which apparently did not have a core of its own for some reason
OMFG THERE'S A LITTLE RAT IN THE TORPEDO ARE WE GOING TO HAVE A RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINE INVOLVING A SMALL RODENT AGAIN BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE BEST KIND BUT ALSO THIS IS NOT HOW TORPEDOS WORK BUT ALSO HI RAT!!!
yeah exactly thanks Sissel! how the FUCK did it get here also I love that the characters DO pay attention to the wellbeing of innocent rats in this game <3
well, you COULD just try to get it to blow up earlier, in the water you'd be stuck but you'd be heroes, or something well, Lynne would go back to her body, Sissel would be stuck :D oh, and the rat would die, that's the bad news
YEAH LET'S SAVE THE RATTIE FIRST if this time the rat is going to be in the way rather than helping, well, I REALLY DO RESPECT THAT LET'S SAVE THE RAT
alright, after some trial and error I DID manage to get both weights in the same position (mostly by luck) and throw off the rat NOW TO SAFETY
alright, this looks promising OKAY IT ALSO LOOKS LIKE KAMILA AND LYNNE MIGHT BE SAFE FROM EVIL!SISSEL NOW THAT'S GOOD NEWS
yusss caring about rats ftw <3
that's what missiles do, huh they're unstoppable i dont know who it is i hear there but Missile is great yes
well, whatever this is, our!Sissel just turned it on maybe it's pumps to remove water!... not that they'll do much against an unplugged breach but
aha, okay, won't move for long
this movement through a machine's gears feels like the purest expression of the game's premise since the junkyard tricks at the very beginning <3
the way Kamila's speech kinda fades in from white? that worries me
...eeeyup
god but I love this game's animation. this little one of Lynne hoisting Kamila up on her back? it feels, like, PERFECTLY balanced with their weights and Lynne's strength and everything <3 <3 <3
oh my god Lynne why couldn't you just... be able to swim not that it would help much with Kamila unconscious but
oh my god Lynne is literally right here why do I still have trouble moving around freely???
oh, found it!
wow, she's climbing one-handed while carrying Kamila, that's some serious upper body strength <3
W E L P
YEP THAT'S SOME SERIOUS STRENGTH THAT SHE DIDNT JUST FUCKING FALL NOR DROP KAMILA
yeeep okay WOW
ARE YOU BOTH GOING TO DIE NOW OR WHAT okay, no, just fall, and not even in the water that's good news
Tumblr media
LYNNE THIS IS NOT A POSE YOU WANT TO BE IN RIGHT NOW unless you're actually holding yourself against that shit in the background with your left hand and I just can't see it I guess
...nope, she was holding her chin LYNNE NO
MISSILE HURRAY
okay, the fan thing makes sense
now to swap around a bunch of broken pipes so they don't get in lynne's way, got it
FOR FUCK'S SAKE I REALLY DON'T SEE A WINNING COMBO HERE
aand I fucking lost but at least I got Sissel in position -_-
alright, now with one pipe turned off it actually works out easily it just... took me really long to realize I'd need Sissel for this one -_-
Lynne honey but have you considered: you have no fucking clue what's behind that door although presumably submarine has only been breached in one place and it's this room?
holy shit with the hook Sissel managed to hoist the combined weight of Lynne and Kamila now THAT's a nifty trick
SISSEL FOR FUCK'S SAKE SHE CAN'T MUSTER LEVERAGE FOR THIS BECAUSE SHE HAS TO HOLD HERSELF AND KAMILA UP AND SHE'S TIRED SHE CAN ASK FOR HELP EXCLUSIVELY IN SWAHILI SWEARS AND IT'D STILL BE A WAY THAT YOU HAVE TO PUT UP WITH
aww, someone's saving us!!!
someone who commented on unstoppable missiles earlier, perhaps?
right, the truth... that's still relevant. while on a sinking submarine. yep
haha sinking submaries i have just been playing oxenfree haha
oh wow that's an improvised mechanism made out of garbage sticking in a close range telekinetic field nifty shit
oh oh okay that explains absolutely nothing evil!Sissel is not evil now, or what?
lmao this is getting more confusing, but like... in a very satisfying way <3
evil!Sissel still seems to have SOME amount of powers, at least, though possibly not the manipulating humans ones? but this amount of telekinesis is still incredible
so okay our Sissel's name possibly IS Sissel, but this dude's isn't I'm more confused than ever before I doubt there are three of them, so...
ahh, Lynne making Kamila more comfortable <3 <3 <3 and again, animation is fucking excellent. just, the timing of everything? it's better than 90% of all 3D animation I've ever seen in games
power and time, okay, got it so the dawn deadline IS real, just not for him wait, possibly not for Sissel and Missile, either?
I see he still fell in his signature ridiculous pose it's less funny now, overall
ah, okay, so the time effect is different too it seems to have been the same for Sissel and Missile though? is this a personality powers deal?
I love that Missile is perfectly comfortable with weird shit because as a dog, that's about the amount of understanding he has of his everyday surroundings, too <3
oh, hum so the moment this guy actually 'died' is the moment that blue guy took out the fragment?
wipe out everybody, huh
okay, so the shooting is as we knew, kind of
the first shot missed the mark, huh? quite curious, quite curious stray bullets are known to be deadly :D
alright, so that's a conversation that mostly confirmed what we already knew we have a new ally though, sort of
aand Lynne's empathy saves the day -_- like I said earlier, this guy's feelings aren't like... unique or anything, he just sucks at theory of mind
Kamila!!! so hey kiddo this guy in front of you is the guy who killed your mom
anyway, I'm still pretty sure Sissel hadn't yet introduced himself to you when you started calling him "Sissy" so there's that lead
and Kamila makes herself comfortable <3 I love this Little Lady so much <3
AWWWW THE RADIO THING <3 <3 <3
'and what about a torpedo' WHAT ABOUT A TORPEDO LYNNE THIS SOUNDS EXTREMELY UNSAFE
KAMILA ARE YOU KIDDING ME YOU'RE TOUGH AS FUCK
OMG IT'S A GRAPE SERVING MACHINE I LOVE THE LUXURIOUS FUCK THIS WAS MADE FOR
alright, torpedo room, that works
swap  the switches to get them unstuck!!!
so I'm going to guess everyone there died, too, and Sissel's going to have to prevent that, too that makes perfect sense
that 'understand exactly how he feels' thing our!Sissel and evil!Sissel are really fucking different in this particular respect :D
awww and the girls convince the doggo <3 <3 <3
so, does Kamila know about the dawn deadline for all ghosts, or
oh thank god I didn't need to control that hop this game really has a policy of not having a permaloss option <3
Yomiel, huh so that's his name
alright, and 'Sissel' is an alias ...I'm just going to keep using it for the protag, just to make things slightly less confusing
ah, so this guy had access to national secrets, and that's how he did the singer thing
and he was proven innocent offscreen <3 <3 <3 stylish
stylish animation, nice
didn't help anybody? did you ever try? because our!Sissel sure figured that shit out quickly
welp, the blue guys are assholes but then, they were also kind of dealing with an asshole I can imagine why they didn't think he was reliable to deal with :x
awww, I like the leaflet guy so much <3 <3 <3
I love how Jowd's like 'well, I'm dead, are you happy now' and Sissel's like 'so anyway about that' FUCK death not tonight, not when Sissel's here <3 <3 <3
alright, and this guy's a robot that still doesn't quite he's pretty human-like >_> I am not a fan of the blue guy in charge is all I'm saying also lmao I nicknamed this one 'iron man dracula' i didn't mean it that way but
ah, remote-controlled, alright that 'farewell' was odd then
'your country's use of technology is just plain off' I LOVE THIS
could there have been two pieces of meteorite in this guy's body? okay, nope still!
OH WOW FOUR MINUTES BEFORE HIS DEATH THAT'S THAT'S ACTUALLY EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED FROM THE VERY BEGINNING EVEN THOUGH I THOUGHT THIS BODY BELONGED TO THE WRONG 'WHOM' THIS IS SOMEWHAT MORE AMBITIOUS THAN PLANNED BUT
...okay, no, his 'death' would actually be before the control room was launched, not all those years ago STILL THIS IS THE -EXACT- THING
alright anyway this is plenty of buildup WHO THE FUCK IS OUR PROTAGONIST it's funny how so far absolutely 0 of what we've seen has pointed to that I have plenty of odd thoughts in my mind ofc 'that guy from another point of time' being the prime one as a homestuck, the possibility of there being multiple ghosts of the same person doesn't faze me in the slightest in fact it seems like an intuitive conclusion BUT THEIR PERSONALITY SURE IS DIFFERENT
anyway, :D :D :D
Final Chapter
...aha! so it counted ten years ago after all! dang :D
aha, I see that mascot thing I see baby Lynne!!!
I note how for someone threatening to shoot the kid, Yomiel's gun sure is pointing in the wrong direction AND he's holding out the kid to the side, not between himself and Jowd SOMEONE sucks at hostage taking lmao
a kitty, huh
and then a meteorite, okay
I note the lamp
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Yomiel is thinking 'so maybe I'll die in another way and all this will have not happened, that's a better outcome anyway' isn't he god his faces are Sissel faces and look this game knows EXACTLY what it's doing with its visuals exactly one facial exression of Yomiel's has not matched Sissel's I doubt it's because of lazy artists
alright, so a good plan would be swapping the mascot and the lamp
but seriously, WOW Yomiel sucks at taking hostages this game's animation is always stellar and brilliant, there's NO fucking coincidence there he was absolutely not willing in any way to put baby Lynne in actual danger, even if he pretended he did and it worked on Jowd
anyway how the fuck do we get to the lamp
'we can talk about all this later' ARGUABLE TBH the entire, like, THING is going to change oh man is everyone going to go back to their bodies 10 years ago with their new memories because that's fucking hardcore was Kamila even BORN yet
augh I DONT KNOW I CANT REACH I THINK I CANT REACH ANYTHING WHAT DO I DO MISSILE IS IN THE SWEET POTATO ON THE FOUNTAIN SISSEL IS IN THE NOZZLE BUT NOT THE CENTRAL ONE AND CANT REACH THE CENTRAL ONE WHAT DO I DO
okay sounds like I missed my chance let's try that again
ghhhh okay I think I have figured this sequence out even though I have to rewind again 1) rock the basket 2) jump into nozzle to launch the potato 3) Sissel jumps into the potato and then from the potato to the central nozzle 4) Missile jumps into the potato 5) launch the potato x2
okay, Mino fell into the fountain, not that I know how this can help because AGAIN, Missile can't reach Mino from the lantern :x and Sissel can't do absolutely fucking anything
annd the finale is a cutscene alas
alright, let's try that again...
hum we didn't get a FATE CHANGE registered after dropping Mino might this mean we have to do something right in the process?
AW YEAH THAT DEFINITELY JUST HAPPENED LMAO
are we going to kill everyone by dropping Mino on them instead XD
trick time, huh Sissel still can't reach anywhere Missile can swap two identical lanterns, not that this does anything he can talk to Sissel, for what THAT's worth
aha, the lantern dropped, Missile can move around now, that's good
Sissel still can't do shit though
well, that's the detective's LEG, not... anything else or anything
oh man, yeah... YOUNG JOWD IS A DUMBASS man, even Yomiel isn't aiming at him anymore, he's like 'hey dude are you okay' so the theory that Sissel is alternate!Yomiel is really gaining steam in my head not that it wasn't the primary one all along but
AW FUCK YEAH MISSILE THE BULLET CATCHING BADASS DOGGO!!!
anyway sweet potato?
BOO YAH um or not
OR YES ACTUALLY THAT WORKS
OH MY FUCKING GOD YEP THE LAMPPOST FUCKING MINO
awwwwww and finally the trauma of remembering your death is brought up!!!! Sissel cares <3 <3 <3 (and Yomiel doesn't at the moment NOT THAT I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THAT IN CONTEXT) (then again I'd understand it if Sissel didn't either but he's the purest being in existence so)
awwww Yomiel is finally going to contribute!!!
omfg lmao "Make it spray as if your life depended on it!" "Uh, I'm dead though" Yomiel is winning ALL the sensitivity awards tonight <3 <3 <3
I I think that Yomiel hasn't done anything yet oh, okay, we're still winning time
holy FUCK Yomiel that was definitely a thing you just did
dear Young Jowd, Yomiel is the one who saved her. Not gods
awwww and he gave baby Lynne a detective's badge <3 <3 <3 he's so good with children <3
so, can Yomiel be alive please :x ALRIGHT, HE IS THAT WORKS
THE KITTY DID THE METEORITE KILL THE KITTY
wait wait wait is is Sissel the kitty is that why he has no idea how guns work or anything else like that that that is truly fucking incredible f y'all's i AND I GUESS IT FITS WITH HIM AND MISSILE JUST GOING AROUND SAVING PEOPLE TOGETHER LIKE A BADASS DUO AND IT FITS WITH HIM GETTING KILLED BY LYNNE'S FIRST SHOT ON ACCIDENT I HONESTLY CONSIDERED A RAT OPTION FOR LIKE A SPLIT SECOND THERE
OMG OMG OMG OMG YE S AND HIS NAME REALLY IS SISSEL
god jesus fucking christ this this fucking game i just im howling this this definitely is a thing that just happened it owned me so hard im so fucking owned right now
yep hes the cat he's Yomiel's cat
aaaaaaaaaawwwwwwww there's a good reason he had identity confusion in all this they WERE confusable as one being for a while
'her' huh?
oh man wow THIS particular part of the story sucks
so Sissel was a girl's name all along? okay
but also, FUCK no wonder he went bonkers specifically about being unable to die
'his powers couldnt help anybody' more like they couldn't help ONE SPECIFIC PERSON
so that bag is a kitty carrier huh and Lynne's miss accidentally killed the kitty
LMAO THE PART WHERE WE ALL THOUGHT LYNNE HAD KILLED THE PROTAG WASN'T WRONG
I DAMN FUCKING REMEMBER THAT CAT JUST FOR YALLS I I ABSOLUTELY REMEMBERED THERE WAS A CAT THERE I JUST NEVER LINKED IT TO ANYTHING I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS A VERY PRETTY RANDOM STRAY
anyway Yomiel that's what you get for playing with guns they're deadly weapons and result in death you're fucking welcome
so anyway who the fuck is Ray
but anyway kitty Sissel saved everyone...
okay but hold on hold on hold on I didn't quite get the implications about the fiancee the first time around WHAT THE FUCK CAPCOM i was just recently thinking how fucked up it was that I remembered the last name of Polly Jenkins, just because of how much her brief story shook me
and uh I think is that also the implication here because that's not fucking okay
anyway so did Yomiel die as the result of that or nay bc that looked fucking deadly if not instantaneously so
god but this ffucking game
this fucking... game
oh Missile I'm pretty sure YOU are going to see HIM alright lmao wasn't Jowd taking him home
but also damn the original events of these ten years, as remembered by - a dog and a cat - Detective Jowd and Kamila (but not Alma, who never was brought back to life directly) - Lynne - Cabanela - the medical examiner - the minister of justice AND NO-ONE ELSE ...wait, no ALSO THE GUY FROM THE FUCKING PARK ...yep that's a thing we're doing
so another important thing is that the rock star kid is going to be okay and the curry guy, too nothing bad happened to them in this timeline, right?
ALRIGHT HI RAY WHAT/WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU
(right now my bet's on 'a rat')
oh, Sissel also killed two people tonight, that happened
lmao and in this version of evens Missile died in the presence of Temsik
omfg and Ray is alternate!Missile this is fucking amazing <3
lmao his ghost aged and lost its powers?
also the dawn deadline was a lie he just wanted to get Sissel's butt moving I FUCKING KNEW IT
I love how Sissel's just "I DID WHAT" even though he's been doing that all evening this time around too
yup doggie's a fucking liar the only real time limit is the lifetime they would have had if they were alive huh damn
but seriously I called that before I started this section of the liveblog even if I think I never actually made that post 'what are the odds Ray is a fucking liar' I don't think I ever wrote that I kept getting distracted but yep I fucking called this
THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART GOD I AM ;U; THIS DOGGO
anyway one participant of the events who definitely wasn't born yet 10 years ago is indeed Missile 0.0 how's that... gonna work...
but I do love that just... the justice minister, of all people, is also going to be in possession of those 10 years
OH MY FUCKING GOD LYNNE IS ABOUT TO HAVE A FUCKING HEART ATTACK I KNOW THERE'S NO GUN BUT JESUS FUCKING CHRIST
KAMILA WHAT THE FUCK DON'T FUCKING DO THAT THAT'S ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING
aawwwwwww IT WORKED THIS TIME AROUND
'nice to meet you' OH BOY OH BOY I GET HOW IT WORKS NOW I THINK ...uh, I'm not sure how Lynne knew to flee from the junkyard then, but either way it looks like they're only getting back their memories at the PRESENT and that's why Kamila didn't fUCKING KNOW AND REMEMBER WHAT THE FUCK WAS WRONG WITH DOING THAT JUST NOW
LMAO SOMETHING'S GOING TO EXPLODE TONIGHT
oh, nevermind, it's not that yet :D but it really does sound like it's going to :D right... about... dawn? :D
aww Jowd actually carries toy badges with him everywhere <3 <3 <3 'child handling tools'
still a kitten, huh yeah, that whole Temsik thing :D
aww, and here's her, all alive and everything
SO BIG MEMORYSPLOSION PLEASE
(at dawn) (it's fucking coming that's my headcanon and you can't beat it) (a bunch of people are going to become really fucking traumatized tonight)
hey!!! Missile!!! Cabanela brought him, huh
so, what's up with Yomiel, anyway
COME ON SISSEL MAKE NICE WITH MISSILE HE CAN'T CLIMB UP THERE
that guy's imitating Cabanela lmao
Memry <3 <3 <3
very best customer, huh
AWWW ITS THIS GUY HI GUY YOU'RE OKAY NOW WITHOUT YOMIEL TO RUIN EVERYTHING YOU'RE JUST FINE
hah, and these two
.............................................yup. they died
'the indescretions of a minister perhaps?' I LOVE THIS FUCKING LADY I LOVE HER I LOVE HER
ah, these two what deal is it this time
the little rock sinter guy!!! yeah!!!!
hi medical examiner guy <3 guess you're not doing medicine after all huh
HI LEAFLET PARK GUY YOU ARE STILL CUTE
HI BAILEY
oh man oh man Yomiel :D hey are talking about Yomiel :D

Muses on this blog
I know there’s a page for it in my blog, but I decided to make a post to simplify things for new people because I know I can be a very confusing person lol, so here we go.
[😎] Yomiel (Shades)
Tumblr media
This nerd is the blog’s main muse. Yomiel after his fate-change, a man who is seeking his redemption after everything he did in the previous timeline. He is a pain in the ass and loves to hide his fears and insecurities behind sarcasm and irony and may seem rude sometimes because of this, but deep down, he just wants a hug. Loves his fiancee and his cat to death. Is trying really hard in letting go of his past, but sometimes has to confide in his cat when he’s feeling depressed. He just wants someone he can talk to and understand him.  He suffers from heavy PTSD and Guilt Complex after the Temsik incident and is very depressed and immersed in a deep anguish and he’s trying really hard to become someone better. This man really need some friends.
[☄️] Yomiel (Shard/The Manipulator)
Tumblr media
This one is an asshole. Like, the king of assholes. He’s Yomiel during the game-timeline or before. He’s a wrathful man who will do anything to accomplish his revenge plan. He is cold, cruel, sadistic and with no sense of morality. He lost all of his senses of moral and can be very sadisdic and cruel to those who stand in his way. He likes to let people suffer and at the same time he is jealous that they are able to feel and can be very manipulative (quite literally) to get what he wants. Don’t mess with this guy unless you really want some trouble.
However, behind all the hatred and anger, lies a very sad and angsty man who just want people to understand him. He is desperate for affection and any kind of kindness or compassion shown towards him can make him feel calmer and less aggressive.
[🐈‍⬛] Cat Sissel
Tumblr media
Sissel used to be a small stray kitten wandering alone in Temsik Park when the Temsik meteorite fell, killing Yomiel on the spot. Yomiel’s soul inhabited the little kitten until he regained his memories. After that, he adopted the kitten and named him “Sissel” in his late fiancée’s memory. He was Yomiel’s only friend and companion during the time he was a Temsik undead until the events of Ghost Trick happens, in which Sissel is mistankenly killed by Yomiel in his revenge scheme and ends up becoming a Temsik ghost in pursuit of his own lost memory. He ends up going back in time ten years to avert Yomiel’s fate and he is now currently with the Temsik shard inside him, making him a Temsik undead in place of his best friend.
[💍] Sissel (Fiancée)
Tumblr media
This sweet lady is Yomiel’s beloved fiancee. A friendly, easygoing woman who can get along with pretty much everyone. She is really curious and not afraid to experiment new things. She also loves to tease Yomiel in a playful manner just to see him blush. Sissel loves meeting new people and making new friends, so it’s pretty easy to approach her! Just come say hi to her. She needs more love in this blog!
[💻] Yomiel (Teen)
Tumblr media
Yomiel as a teenager. He is a shy, introverted and nerdy teenager. He is socially awkward towards people and he prefers to spend more time in front of computers than socializing. Not because he doesn’t like to interact with people, but mostly because most of his time he is actually afraid of what people might think of him. He is also kind of a dork, but in an adorable way. His family life is unstable, as he has divorced parents, his father is always absent in his life and his mother turned into an alcoholic after his father left her, which makes him even more insecure and anxious. He often uses to escape from his family problems by spending time in front of a computer, programming, which seems to be the only thing capable of distracting him, other than spending time with his best friend (and not-so-secret love interest) Sissel. He is a dork, but he is much easier to approach than his adult self because he hasn’t experienced all the Trauma from the Temsik incident (yet) and seems to be a bit more cheerful.
[💜] Sissel (Teen)
Tumblr media
Sissel is a cheerful, playful and extroverted girl. She met Yomiel in her childhood and they quickly became best friends, but she had to leave him when her father found a better job in another country. She gave Yomiel her late mother’s favorite red scarf as a goodbye gift, as a way to make him not forget about her. She comes back seven years later, when she meets Yomiel again, now as a 17 year old teenager. Their friendship still remains strong, but it seems to be growing into something more. Sissel finds Yomiel’s clumsiness and awkwardness near her really cute and she finds his intelligence to be very attractive. She is really impressed at his great skills with computers and she often teases him about it. She also became quite popular in high school, attracting the eyes of many boys, but she only has eyes for her best friend, Yomiel. She often defends him whenever a bully mistreats him and she suports Yomiel with his family issues and is always there for him whenever he is feeling depressed about his family, serving as an emotional support for him.
[👦]Yomiel (Kid)
Tumblr media
As a kid, Yomiel is very introverted and shy. He lives in a troubled home, with parents that are always fighting each other and he is also bullied in school because of his studying habits. He doesn’t have any friends and has a terrible eyesight because of the time he spends studying and in front of computers. He is highly intelligent, but he is very shy and has difficulty to make friends. His only friend is the girl who just moved to his neighborhood, Sissel.
[👧]Sissel (Kid)
Tumblr media
Sissel is an extroverted, playful young girl. She wears a bright red scarf that once belonged to her mother, but was given to her by her father when her mother passed away. She always wear the red scarf in the memory of her late mother. (more information about the red scarf here ) When she moved to Yomiel’s neighboorhood and started to attend the same school as him, she felt sorry for the poor boy and tried to befriend him. They quickly became friends and they would always play together. They spend the majority of their childhood together (three years to be more exact - she met him when he was 7 years old) but then she had to move to another country after her father got a better job and they were forced to separate. She gave Yomiel her late mother’s red scarf as a way for him to remember about her until she returns.
                                                       ------------
And I think this sums up the main muses on this blog! There are more variations of them, of course like the AU versions and etc, but I just wanted to put on this post mostly the main muses for the blog (the ones I will be most likely using).

A Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective fanfiction. It contain major spoilers of the game ending. You have been warned!
——–
I don’t know why I’m still here. I shouldn’t even be alive anymore, so why am I still here? It was ten o'clock at night. A blond-haired man dressed in a red suit was sitting in a sidewalk in a lonely spot of town, immersed in an infinite anguish.  It seemed that the gods were so bored that they decided to play a terrible prank on him. First, he was being accused of a crime he didn’t commit. Second, they stole his life away with a strange meteorite fragment that fell from the sky all of a sudden. Third, he gained strange powers. Somehow his soul was able to posses small living beings. For some reason he didn’t understand, he was also able to re-posses his dead body, although it wasn’t anything like being alive again. Fourth and even more tragic than the previous things: his fiancée had killed herself.  Right after he recovered his body from the morgue, he hurried to her house, only to find her dead, leaving him only a note that said: “I’m coming to you, Yomiel."  The only woman he truly cared for was now gone from his life forever and there was nothing he could do. His life, his love and all of his dreams were stolen from him forever. Now he was sitting at a lonely spot of town, devastated, and without having any idea what to do or where to go. He was nothing but a piece of human being who was thrown away without any use. He felt like he was just a bunch of atoms together that no longer served for anything, just to take up space. The only thing who could save him from his misery was death itself, but he couln’t even appeal to it because he was already dead. In fact his situation was even worse than he thought: he was stuck between life and death. He already tried to commit suicide to be dead for good but it didn’t work as it should. He had tried everything he could think of: Hanging, drowning, poisoning and finally he tried to stab his own heart… Only to find out (to his horror) that his body would return to normal soon afterwards, as if the knife had never been plunged into his chest. He couldn’t die. His soul couldn’t join his fiancée, wherever she was. His body was turned into some kind of immortal walking-shell and he was a ghost stuck in this world. And nothing could change that, much to his despair. "It doesn’t make sense that I still exist. Everything that I loved was taken away from me, was torn away from my life and I didn’t even had the chance to say goodbye. What did I do to deserve all of this suffering? I never had bad intentions, I never wanted to hurt anyone and this is the reward I get? Now I can realize how unfair life is." Yomiel thought to himself. The drizzle was drenching his red suit, as if the skies were crying the tears he couldn’t cry. A dead man doesn’t have the physical hability to shed tears, after all. He took a small piece of red cloth from his pocket. It was Sissel’s favorite neckerchief. She was always using it around her neck, ever since her childhood, when he first met her. It had a very strong meaning to the two of them, and now, it was the only thing that was left of her. Old memories resurfaced his mind as he held Sissel’s red scarf.
************
Two kids were in their way to the school. A girl with a dark violet hair was talking excitedly with her best friend, the blond-haired shy boy who was always being bullied by the other kids. About two months ago she had moved to his neighborhood and began to attend in the same school as him. Seeing how lonely the boy was and how the other kids used to bully him because of his studious behavior, she felt so sorry for the poor boy that she tried to befriend him. Since then, they became friends so easily that it was almost as if they were siblings. As they were walking, Sissel was talking about something funny she just saw yesterday in her favorite TV show when she was cut off by the boy. ”Hey, Sissy… May I ask you something?“  "Sure! Go ahead!” The girl answered with a smile. “Why do you always wear this red scarf around your neck?” She stoped walking and looked directly at him, slightly surprised at his sudden question.  “Why are you asking me this?” Yomiel blushed a little and looked down, ashamed. He thought he’d made a stupid question to her.  “Well… huh.. I’m just curious… That’s all…" He fidgeted nervously with his fingers Sissel looked straight into his eyes and she could notice the innocence and sincerity in his words. Then, she took a deep breath before answering her friend. "Well… You see… This red scarf once belonged to my mother. It was her favorite and she used to wear it all the time. I was too young when she left this world, so I can’t remember her very well… So my dad gave it to me so I would always remember about her. It’s like a part of her is always with me, no matter what. That’s why I wear it all the time.” “Oh…” Yomiel looked down, his eyes expressing his pity.“I see… I’m so sorry for your mom…” “You don’t need to feel sorry. She’s in a better place now.” Sissel remained silent for a few minutes. It always hurt her to think about her mother. She looked at Yomiel who was still feeling sorry for her and Sissel decided it was better to just forget about sad memories. She tried to break that sad atmosphere by cheering him up. “Hey! How about a race? The first one to arrive at school wins a chocolate bar!” She said as she began to run, leaving the boy behind. He lifted his head and saw that Sissel was already very far away from him. “Hey! Hold on! I’m not prepared yet! That’s unfair!” The boy shouted as he started to run after the girl.
************
That memory seemed as if it had happened a thousand years before, in a time too far away, haunting him like a ghost. He looked at the red scarf in his hands, a scarf that was some kind of inheritance to him. It was once from Sissel’s mother, then it was passed to her when her mother died, and then it was his. That red piece of cloth always had a strong meaning behind it: to remember about its previous owners with the love they deserved. Although Sissel didn’t have a clear memory of her deceased mother, she still loved her so much that she was always wearing the scarf in her memory. So, it wasn’t just an ordinary scarf, it was a sign of love. But not only a motherly love, but also a childish love. He could remember very well the day Sissel gave the red scarf to him, one day before she moved to another country.
************
“Is it true? You’re…  really going to leave?” The boy was still stunned by the sudden news she had just told him.The two kids were standing in the playground at Temsik Park, where they used to play everyday. It was a cloudy, gray day and it gave the exact feeling of what the boy was feeling at that moment. Sadness and loneliness. His only friend in the entire world was going to leave and he was going to be left all alone again.
“Yeah… Unfortunately…” She sobbed. Tears were forming in her little eyes. “My dad got a better job, but it’s in another country… We’ll have to leave… But I don’t want to go!” She began to cry. Tears were soaking the young girl’s face as she held her best friend’s hands carefully on her own.
Yomiel was trying so hard not to cry, but it wasn’t working. He didn’t want her to go either. She was his only friend in the world. He didn’t want to be all alone again.
“When… when will you have to leave?"
She bit the bottom of her lip, trying to hold the tears that wanted to stream down by her face.
"We’re leaving tomorrow, at afternoon.” She squeezed his hands and looked into his eyes “Listen, Yommy… I want you to promise me something.”
“Sure. Anything.”
“I want you to have this.” She gave him a small piece of red cloth, which he recognized as being her favorite red scarf that she always used to wear around her neck.
“But… But isn’t that your mother’s…”
“I know.” The girl interrupted him. “It’s the only thing I still have from my mother. When I look at it, I always remember about her. But now, I don’t think I need it anymore… Now I want you to have it, so everytime you look at it, you’ll remember about me, just like I remembered about my mother during all these years.”
“B-but… Sissy, I can’t keep it! It’s your favorite…” He tried to hold his tears.
“Please, Yommy! I want you to look after it for me! So this way, I’ll always be with you, even if I’m far away…” A new flood of tears broke into her face as she faced him. “I promise that, one day, we’ll meet again. When that day comes, you can give it back to me, but until then… I want you to take good care of it for me, okay?”
Unable to contain the sadness that came over his heart, Yomiel hugged Sissel, weeping.
“Okay, I promise”
************
Yomiel bit his lip, feeling his soul shatter with the memory. After she left, he had never stopped thinking about her. The red scarf was always with him, reminding him of her, of her sweet smile, of her laugh… But most importantly, of their promise. He was going to give it back to her one day, even if he had to travel the whole world to do so. That small piece of fabric had become more precious to him than all the money in the world. And he could remember very well the day he had kept his promise…
************
Seven years had passed since his best friend moved to another country.
Seven long years without her. At least, without her physical presence, because she never left his mind. Whenever he wanted, he could look at the red scarf she’d given him on the day before her departure and he would remember everything about her.
He never had another friend besides her. As he was already a timid type and had bad experiences with other children back then, he failed on his attempts to befriend someone else. He became used to this over time.  Although he was not being bothered by the other teenagers very often, like in his childhood, there were still some bullies who would torment him, forcing him to do their homework and stealing his lunch money. One day, however, he wasn’t their victim. He was passing by an empty alley in his way to the high school when he heard some noises coming from it. “Leave me alone!” a female voice shouted. He glanced in the direction of the voice and he saw two bullies tormenting a beautiful girl with a long violet hair. He couldn’t recognize her face in the shadows, so he assumed she was new in the neighborhood. Newbie or not, she was in trouble, anyway. “She seems so familiar…” He thought for a moment as he saw her hair color. But that detail wasn’t so important this time. He needed to help her first.  “You guys are really a pain in the ass.” he shouted to the bullies to get their attention. “Only cowards disturb a woman. Why don’t you bother me, instead? Or aren’t you men enough?” The two bullies turned to his direction. “Oh, so you want to play the hero now, huh? That’s going to be nice!” they said a they walked towards him. The girl was sitting on the ground, watching in fear as one of the bullies grabbed the boy by his shirt collar.  “What are you going to do now, ‘hero’?"  Before he could do something, Yomiel kneed him in the groin, with made the bully let go off him. He took the chance to punch the bully in the face. "What do you think of this?” He smirked confidendly, but then he felt a strong hand hitting his face and when he realised, he was lying on the floor. He looked up and saw the other bully looking down at him with a fierce anger in his eyes. The boy was twice his size and suddenly Yomiel cursed himself for being so dumb in challenging them. What was he thinking? He could never win a fight with two large boys like that, but at least he hoped the girl could get away while they were busy dealing with him. “Now you’re going to pay for such insolence!” the other bully pulled a knife from his pocket and was about to stab him before they heard a siren of a police car nearby. “Oh Shi…!” The two bullies shouted and began to run away from the scene as fast they could. Yomiel sighed in relief as the two bullies run, not believing the luck he just had. Of course he never expected he could actually win a fight with two bullies, after all, he was far from being a fighter, but at least he hoped he could buy enough time so the girl could escape. It was still a dumb thing to do, since if it weren’t for the police arriving on time, he could have been killed by now. With some difficulty, he stood up and  approached the girl, who was still sitting on the ground. “Hey, are you all right? Did they hurt you?” he said as he reached a hand to her. The girl took his hand and stood up, but she remained silent, looking at him in astonishment. “What’s wrong?” he asked, after the awkward silence. She touched his face gently, as if to prove to herself that the young man in front of her was real and not something from her imagination.   “Yomiel?” She whispered. “Is that really you?” His eyes widened in surprise as he heard his name coming from her mouth and he became speechless for a while. Slowly, he took off his sunglasses to take a better look at the girl’s face. “Sissel?” it was the only thing he managed to say. There was no verbal answer. Her arms wrapped around him in a tight embrace,
tears of joy beginning to form in her eyes.
“I’ve missed you so much!” He was so surprised by her sudden act that he was paralyzed for a while. But soon, the joy overcame his shyness and he hugged his childhood friend as well. “I’ve missed you too!” He whispered, pulling her closer, not really believing she was there! After seven long years, she was finally there, with him! He felt an immense warmth rising inside of his chest and spreading through his whole body and he felt as if he just recovered a part of him that was missing. He wasn’t feeling alone anymore.  They stood in each other’s arms for what seemed like a long time until finally she pulled away from him. Yomiel felt a strange sensation when she left his arms, a slight shiver that came down his spine and he felt his face go warmer, becoming a light shade of red. He tried to not pay much attention to this, though. “I can’t believe it! After all this time… I’ve finally found you! Well… not in a way I’d expected, however.” Sissel said, a little embarrassed. He chuckled softly. That situation reminded him so much of the troubles Sissel always put herself in when they were kids. “Always getting yourself in trouble, aren’t you? Lucky I was here to save you.” He said with a playful smirk, which she responded with a giggle and a light shove on his shoulder. “Don’t get too cocky.” She said, now looking a bit worried. “You also put yourself in danger. That guy was going to stab you if the police haven’t arrived in time…” Her eyes lowered to the floor. “Hey, it’s all right! We’re both safe now.” Yomiel said with a chuckle, but deep down, he was secretly thanking the gods for this little miracle. “Nevertheless, that was very brave of you.” She smiled. “Or foolish, either."  "Maybe both?” he chuckled and she giggled in return.
“Yeah, maybe both…” She paused for a brief moment and remained thoughtful for a while. “I thought I would never see you again…” she spoke softly when suddenly she saw something that got her attention. A red bandana wrapped around Yomiel’s neck. Sissel’s eyebrows frowned as she approached him and reached a hand to the familiar red bandana around his neck.
“Sissel? What’s wrong?” Yomiel asked, very confused by her sudden reaction. He watched as she wrapped her fingers in his bandana, loosening the knot. The smooth cloth untied itself and fell from his neck to her hands. She took the red scarf and was speechless for a few minutes.
"My mom’s red scarf…” she whispered as she run her fingers across the red cloth thad had once been her late mother’s favorite scarf. “I can’t believe you kept it with you after all this time…” He took her hand and smiled.
“Well, of course I did. It was a promise, remember? I promised you I would carry it with me until the day we met again, so I could give it back to you. That’s why I never forgot about you. I wasn’t really alone all this time because you were with me. Well, symbolically speaking, of course.”
Sissel smiled softly at him. After all this time, he had never forgot about her… He had waited for her all along. She wrapped her arms aroud him again, this time in a softer hug. “Thank you for waiting for me all along…” She whispered softly, leaning her face against his chest. “I would wait for you for all eternity, if necessary.” He spoke gently as he returned the embrace, pulling her closer and resting his chin on top of her head. Sissel blushed as she heard his words and pulled away to face him. Yomiel suddenly realized how awkward his phrase sounded and immediately tried to fix things. “I-I-I mean… That’s what f-friends do, isn’t it? And y-you’re my best friend! T-That’s what I meant!” He said awkwardly, feeling his face burning in embarrasment. His cheeks were now the same color of Sissel’s red scarf and she giggled at his clumsiness. “Oh! I understood, silly.” She said in a playful tone, but she also looked a little upset. She didn’t understand why she was feeling upset about what he just said, though. After all, he was right! That’s what friends do. And this was a true friendship… Or it could be something more?
************
Yomiel then heard a meow which interrupted his thoughts. He glanced down and saw the small black kitten staring at him with its big yellow eyes. Apparently, it had followed him since he had left it waiting in a bush in front of the police station when he went to get his body back from the morgue.
For a brief moment, Yomiel was silent, staring at the kitten who was rubbing its head against his legs. Then, after a while, he reached a hand to the little feline.
“I think we’re in the same boat, little guy. You have no one else and nowhere to go” He said softly, scratching behind the kitten’s ears. The little creature was purring excitedly. “So, I guess you can come with me. But you will need a name… How should I call you, then?”
As he stopped petting the kitten, something got the feline’s attention. He sniffed the red scarf that was still in Yomiel’s hand and poked it with his paws, in curiosity.
“Oh! You want this?” Yomiel lifted the red scarf above the kitten’s head and the animal tried to catch it with both paws. The man smiled lightly as he saw the small kitten playing with his late fiancée’s scarf. “All right! Since you liked it so much, you can have it, little guy.”
He then tied the red bandana around the kitten’s thin neck. He meowed and purred in satisfaction, which made Yomiel smile.
“You know what? That’s a very special scarf. It reminds us of the ones who are important to us, somehow. So, promise me you will take good care of it for me, all right buddy?”
The kitten rubbed his head against Yomiel’s hand, which he assumed it was a “yes”.
“All right. So, it’s a promisse, then.” Yomiel said, rubbing the little kitten’s head. Then he looked at the sky. The drizzle was getting stronger. He couldn’t feel it, but he assumed it was getting colder and he needed to find a place for him and his new furry friend to spend the night.  "We need to find a place to stay. Let’s go now,
Sissel
…“
He grabbed his newly named friend in his arms, holding him tightly so he wouldn’t get cold, and walked away, leaving behind everything that he once knew. He had no ideia of what he was going to do from now on, but at least he wasn’t so alone anymore. At least now he had a friend who would always keep him company. As he walked down the streets with his little friend in his arms, he remembered the promise he made to his  fiancée when they were still just two innocent kids:
I want you to look after it for me… So this way, I’ll always be with you, even if I’m far away… I promise that, one day, we’ll meet again. When that day comes, you can give it back to me, but until then…  I want you to take good care of it for me, okay?” Okay… I promise…

Anyway, this is my headcanon for the origin of Cat!Sissel’s red scarf. I always had in mind that it was originally Fiancée!Sissel’s scarf (and I’m not the only GT fan who likes to think that) but I also came up with a… deeper meaning for this red piece of cloth and I decided to write a short fic about it. I hope you guys like it and plase forgive any grammar errors and such, I’m not a native english speaker

@pinkpuffballdude  Cabanela!
HOO BOY, for as many as I can you say. My goodness you’re indulging me to no end. This is long and I actually answered most of them, though not very seriously in a couple cases aha..
Send me a character and a number and I’ll tell you my headcanons for:
1) Something this character is truly proud of.
Making detective! And Inspector BUT more so in the post game when he presumably did it more for his own sake. In game timeline while I think he’d still have some pride in it, it was a means to an end and a promotion just isn’t the same when he doesn’t have his people to share it with.
2) Who they want to please the most.
Jowd
3) Who depends on them.
Mutual dependability between him and Jowd and Alma. Lynne a bit in mentor/student relationship though that gets more split between him and Jowd post-game. He doesn’t really have any close family of his own
4) What they would do if they had one month to live.
Live even more larger than life than usual while explicitly banning any doom and gloom around it. (while burying his own terror but he has his plans.) Gift his people all the things. Plan the best party around for his funeral. A quiet talk with Jowd and Alma is held for his arrangements to be cremated and ashes scattered in some favourite place of theirs. Burial squicks him out. And no way does he want to see his body lying around thank you kindly because another talk is had with Sissel to be around when he dies so he ends up a Temsik ghost.
Not shufflin’ off the world just yet or leaving Jowd alone.
There’s Alma and Kamila and Lynne
Not leavin’ Jowd alone and the poor souls dealing with him. Besides Sissel could use some backup yeees? Yes.
5) A cherished personal belonging.
Coat is obvious choice. His necklace pendant thingy may have been gift, let’s go with that too. I don’t see him as being very materialistic and as long as he has his people it’s all good.
6) Something they lost, but would love to have back
His memories of what actually happened dammit. Stories are one thing, but actually knowing is another.
On a less angsty, more personal note, I’m not really sure...
7) This character’s favorite character
Tumblr media
(Am I okay using this perfection? Not actually sure who made it originally, Eva?)
8) What kind of car they would drive.
I vary on whether Cabanela even can drive. If the job would require being able to then yes but as little as humanly possible and doesn’t own a car. If not then no. But if he did drive and did have a car something sleek but old fashioned - whatever that would entail in their world - vintage and classy.
I know very little about cars....
9) What calms them when they are upset.
Music, getting up and taking some kind of action, even if it’s just moving. Jowd sometimes, but he also sometimes makes things worse. If something’s real bad Jowd or Alma have the best chance of grounding him.
10) How they deal with pain.
If I ignore it, it will go away yes?
He generally has a high pain tolerance but if something is being distracting he’ll take what he needs for it and carry on - if he can. If it’s something serious requiring something stronger than standard otc stuff he is easily affected and will be knocked flat on his butt which is great for enforcing rest but you may also have a rather loopy and possibly nauseated Cabanela on your hands.
Admittedly highly unusual circumstances but trying to get up after being caught in an explosion, presumably manipulated to move on broken bones and then knocked out of chair and then getting mad that he can’t KINDA says it all.
11) This character’s favorite piece or pieces of clothing.
Coat and scarf
12) How they sleep.
Draped elegantly over things and totally not deliberate in the slightest. Or sprawled you starfish you. Sprawling over nearest available at least semi-flat surface.
13) What kind of parent they would be.
First of all who let that happen? So say in some alternate universe or something he I dunno adopts or something and picturing single dad (and uncle Jowd and aunt Alma?).
One of certain contradictions like everything else he is? Family and friends are of high priority to him
Supportive but can be distant (busy busy workaholic).
Strict in some ways but utterly lackadaisical in others. Totally pull a Lynne and let kid just hang out with a whole bowl of donuts. Not always good at the whole responsible adult thing.
Totally occasionally lets kid play hooky when matching his days off to take around town for shopping and ice cream and junk food. There is spoiling
Parent - teacher interviews would be... interesting...
“Daaad I didn’t so well on this assignment...”
“What’d they have you dooo?” /looks, frowns. Utterly pointless. “Don’t wooorry about it, kiddo.”
Protective. So help anyone who causes trouble for kid
Household rules are highly variable about whether they’re actually followed or not with any kind of consistency.
Kid would likely develop an independence streak a mile wide and they would be at loggerheads sometimes.
Good at assurance. Not the best at straight up comfort. Also please let Alma intervene on healthy coping methods.
Terrifying toddler times involved many calls for help to Jowd and Alma.
14) How they did in school
Quite well to the surprise of some - so flighty seeming! - with an ego so wide it circles in on itself failure is bad. Don’t recommend. And he has his goals and pride. Though he probably coasted through some of it.
15) What cologne or perfume they would use
Another thing I know basically nothing about. Something nice smelling but subtle, nothing overpowering.
16) Their sexuality
Not straight. Bi? Pan?
17) What they’d sing at karaoke
Anything and everything
18) Special talents they have
Being a special sparkly unicorn
19) When they feel safest
In the Jowd household - safe haven #1 except in-game when it became of place of loss, frustration and mystery but ASIDE from that.
20) Household chore they hate the most
Dishes
22) How they spend their money.
Generously on other people. And candy/chocolate supplies.
23) What kind of alcohol they drink
Wine, a beer with Jowd sometimes, various cocktails. He’s open to trying stuff - in moderation. He’s a lightweight.
24) What they wish they could change about themselves
Points to above ego so wide... Younger Cabs I hope made changes after the Yomiel incident. But after that to be increasingly even better!
25) What other people wish they could change about them
Points to above ego so wide... Okay slightly more seriously, sleep man, sleep. Take care of yourself too while putting everyone else ahead. And for the love of the gods revelations can wait until the sun is at least starting to rise

A Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective fanfiction. It contain major spoilers of the game ending. You have been warned!
--------
I don't know why I'm still here. I shouldn't even be alive anymore, so why am I still here?
It was ten o'clock at night. A blond-haired man dressed in a red suit was sitting in a sidewalk in a lonely spot of town, immersed in an infinite anguish.
It seemed that the gods were so bored that they decided to play a terrible prank on him. First, he was being accused of a crime he didn't commit. Second, they stole his life away with a strange meteorite fragment that fell from the sky all of a sudden. Third, he gained strange powers. Somehow his soul was able to posses small living beings. For some reason he didn't understand, he was also able to re-posses his dead body, although it wasn't anything like being alive again. Fourth and even more tragic than the previous things: his fiancée had killed herself.
Right after he recovered his body from the morgue, he hurried to her house, only to find her dead, leaving him only a note that said:
"I'm coming to you, Yomiel."
The only woman he truly cared for was now gone from his life forever and there was nothing he could do.
The only thing who could save him from his misery was death itself, but he couln't even appeal to it because he was already dead. In fact his situation was even worse than he thought: he was stuck between life and death. He already tried to commit suicide to be dead for good but it didn't work as it should. He had tried everything he could think of: Hanging, drowning, poisoning and finally he tried to stab his own heart... Only to find out (to his horror) that his body would return to normal soon afterwards, as if the knife had never been plunged into his chest. He couldn't die. His soul couldn't join his fiancée, wherever she was. His body was turned into some kind of immortal walking-shell and he was a ghost stuck in this world. And nothing could change that, much to his despair.
"It doesn't make sense that I still exist. Everything that I loved was taken away from me, was torn away from my life and I didn't even had the chance to say goodbye.
What did I do to deserve all of this suffering?
I never had bad intentions, I never wanted to hurt anyone and this is the reward I get? Now I can realize how unfair life is."
Yomiel thought to himself. The drizzle was drenching his red suit, as if the skies were crying the tears he couldn't cry. A dead man doesn't have the physical hability to shed tears, after all.
He took a small piece of red cloth from his pocket. It was Sissel's favorite neckerchief. She was always using it around her neck, ever since her childhood, when he first met her. It had a very strong meaning to the two of them, and now, it was the only thing that was left of her. Old memories resurfaced his mind as he held Sissel's red scarf.
"Hey, Sissy... May I ask you something?"
"Sure! Go ahead!" The girl answered with a smile.
"Why do you always wear this red scarf around your neck?"
She stoped walking and looked directly at him, slightly surprised at his sudden question.
"Why are you asking me this?"
Yomiel blushed a little and looked down, ashamed. He thought he'd made a stupid question to her.
"Well... huh.. I'm just curious... That's all..." He fidgeted nervously with his fingers
Sissel looked straight into his eyes and she could notice the innocence and sincerity in his words. Then, she took a deep breath before answering her friend.
"Well... You see... This red scarf once belonged to my mother. It was her favorite and she used to wear it all the time. I was too young when she left this world, so I can't remember her very well... So my dad gave it to me so I would always remember about her. It's like a part of her is always with me, no matter what. That's why I wear it all the time."
"Oh..." Yomiel looked down, his eyes expressing his pity."I see... I'm so sorry for your mom..."
"You don't need to feel sorry. She's in a better place now." Sissel remained silent for a few minutes. It always hurt her to think about her mother. She looked at Yomiel who was still feeling sorry for her and Sissel decided it was better to just forget about sad memories. She tried to break that sad atmosphere by cheering him up.
"Hey! How about a race? The first one to arrive at school wins a chocolate bar!" She said as she began to run, leaving the boy behind.
He lifted his head and saw that Sissel was already very far away from him.
"Hey! Hold on! I'm not prepared yet! That's unfair!" The boy shouted as he started to run after the girl.
************
That memory seemed as if it had happened a thousand years before, in a time too far away, haunting him like a ghost. He looked at the red scarf in his hands, a scarf that was some kind of inheritance to him. It was once from Sissel's mother, then it was passed to her when her mother died, and then it was his. That red piece of cloth always had a strong meaning behind it: to remember about its previous owners with the love they deserved. Although Sissel didn't have a clear memory of her deceased mother, she still loved her so much that she was always wearing the scarf in her memory. So, it wasn't just an ordinary scarf, it was a sign of love. But not only a motherly love, but also a childish love. He could remember very well the day Sissel gave the red scarf to him, one day before she moved to another country.
************
"Is it true? You're...  really going to leave?" The boy was still stunned by the sudden news she had just told him.The two kids were standing in the playground at Temsik Park, where they used to play everyday. It was a cloudy, gray day and it gave the exact feeling of what the boy was feeling at that moment. Sadness and loneliness. His only friend in the entire world was going to leave and he was going to be left all alone again.
"Yeah... Unfortunately..." She sobbed. Tears were forming in her little eyes. "My dad got a better job, but it's in another country... We'll have to leave... But I don't want to go!" She began to cry. Tears were soaking the young girl's face as she held her best friend's hands carefully on her own.
Yomiel was trying so hard not to cry, but it wasn't working. He didn't want her to go either. She was his only friend in the world. He didn't want to be all alone again.
"When... when will you have to leave?"
She bit the bottom of her lip, trying to hold the tears that wanted to stream down by her face.
"We're leaving tomorrow, at afternoon." She squeezed his hands and looked into his eyes "Listen, Yommy... I want you to promise me something."
"Sure. Anything."
"I want you to have this." She gave him a small piece of red cloth, which he recognized as being her favorite red scarf that she always used to wear around her neck.
"But... But isn't that your mother's..."
"I know." The girl interrupted him. "It's the only thing I still have from my mother. When I look at it, I always remember about her. But now, I don't think I need it anymore... Now I want you to have it, so everytime you look at it, you'll remember about me, just like I remembered about my mother during all these years."
"B-but... Sissy, I can't keep it! It's your favorite..." He tried to hold his tears.
"Please, Yommy! I want you to look after it for me! So this way, I'll always be with you, even if I'm far away..." A new flood of tears broke into her face as she faced him. "I promise that, one day, we'll meet again. When that day comes, you can give it back to me, but until then... I want you to take good care of it for me, okay?"
Unable to contain the sadness that came over his heart, Yomiel hugged Sissel, weeping.
"Okay, I promise"
************
Yomiel bit his lip, feeling his soul shatter with the memory. After she left, he had never stopped thinking about her. The red scarf was always with him, reminding him of her, of her sweet smile, of her laugh... But most importantly, of their promise. He was going to give it back to her one day, even if he had to travel the whole world to do so. That small piece of fabric had become more precious to him than all the money in the world. And he could remember very well the day he had kept his promise...
************
Seven years had passed since his best friend moved to another country.
Seven long years without her. At least, without her physical presence, because she never left his mind. Whenever he wanted, he could look at the red scarf she'd given him on the day before her departure and he would remember everything about her.
One day, however, he wasn't their victim. He was passing by an empty alley in his way to the high school when he heard some noises coming from it. "Leave me alone!" a female voice shouted. He glanced in the direction of the voice and he saw two bullies tormenting a beautiful girl with a long violet hair. He couldn't recognize her face in the shadows, so he assumed she was new in the neighborhood. Newbie or not, she was in trouble, anyway. "She seems so familiar..." He thought for a moment as he saw her hair color. But that detail wasn't so important this time. He needed to help her first. "You guys are really a pain in the ass." he shouted to the bullies to get their attention. "Only cowards disturb a woman. Why don't you bother me, instead? Or aren't you men enough?" The two bullies turned to his direction. "Oh, so you want to play the hero now, huh? That's going to be nice!" they said a they walked towards him. The girl was sitting on the ground, watching in fear as one of the bullies grabbed the boy by his shirt collar. "What are you going to do now, 'hero'?" Before he could do something, Yomiel kneed him in the groin, with made the bully let go off him. He took the chance to punch the bully in the face. "What do you think of this?" He smirked confidendly, but then he felt a strong hand hitting his face and when he realised, he was lying on the floor. "Now you're going to pay for such insolence!" the other bully pulled a knife from his pocket and was about to stab him before they heard a siren of a police car nearby. "Oh Shi...!" The two bullies shouted and began to run away from the scene as fast they could. Yomiel sighed in relief as the two bullies run, not believing the luck he just had. Of course he never expected he could actually win a fight with two bullies, after all, he was far from being a fighter, but at least he hoped he could buy enough time so the girl could escape. It was still a dumb thing to do, since if it weren't for the police arriving on time, he could have been killed by now. With some difficulty, he stood up and  approached the girl, who was still sitting on the ground. "Hey, are you all right? Did they hurt you?" he said as he reached a hand to her. The girl took his hand and stood up, but she remained silent, looking at him in astonishment. "What's wrong?" he asked, after the awkward silence. She touched his face gently, as if to prove to herself that the young man in front of her was real and not something from her imagination.   "Yomiel?" She whispered. "Is that really you?" His eyes widened in surprise as he heard his name coming from her mouth and he became speechless for a while. Slowly, he took off his sunglasses to take a better look at the girl's face. "Sissel?" it was the only thing he managed to say. There was no verbal answer. Her arms wrapped around him in a tight embrace,
tears of joy beginning to form in her eyes.
"I've missed you so much!" He was so surprised by her sudden act that he was paralyzed for a while. But soon, the joy overcame his shyness and he hugged his childhood friend as well. "I've missed you too!" He whispered, pulling her closer, not really believing she was there! After seven long years, she was finally there, with him! He felt an immense warmth rising inside of his chest and spreading through his whole body and he felt as if he just recovered a part of him that was missing. He wasn't feeling alone anymore. They stood in each other's arms for what seemed like a long time until finally she pulled away from him. Yomiel felt a strange sensation when she left his arms, a slight shiver that came down his spine and he felt his face go warmer, becoming a light shade of red. He tried to not pay much attention to this, though. "I can't believe it! After all this time... I've finally found you! Well... not in a way I'd expected, however." Sissel said, a little embarrassed. He chuckled softly. That situation reminded him so much of the troubles Sissel always put herself in when they were kids. "Always getting yourself in trouble, aren't you? Lucky I was here to save you." He said with a playful smirk, which she responded with a giggle and a light shove on his shoulder. "Don't get too cocky." She said, now looking a bit worried. "You also put yourself in danger. That guy was going to stab you if the police haven't arrived in time..." Her eyes lowered to the floor. "Hey, it's all right! We're both safe now." Yomiel said with a chuckle, but deep down, he was secretly thanking the gods for this little miracle. "Nevertheless, that was very brave of you." She smiled. "Or foolish, either." "Maybe both?" he chuckled and she giggled in return.
"Yeah, maybe both..." She paused for a brief moment and remained thoughtful for a while. "I thought I would never see you again…” she spoke softly when suddenly she saw something that got her attention. A red bandana wrapped around Yomiel’s neck. Sissel's eyebrows frowned as she approached him and reached a hand to the familiar red bandana around his neck.
“Sissel? What’s wrong?” Yomiel asked, very confused by her sudden reaction. He watched as she wrapped her fingers in his bandana, loosening the knot. The smooth cloth untied itself and fell from his neck to her hands. She took the red scarf and was speechless for a few minutes.
"My mom's red scarf..." she whispered as she run her fingers across the red cloth thad had once been her late mother’s favorite scarf. "I can't believe you kept it with you after all this time..." He took her hand and smiled.
"Well, of course I did. It was a promise, remember? I promised you I would carry it with me until the day we met again, so I could give it back to you. That's why I never forgot about you. I wasn't really alone all this time because you were with me. Well, symbolically speaking, of course."
Sissel smiled softly at him. After all this time, he had never forgot about her... He had waited for her all along. She wrapped her arms aroud him again, this time in a softer hug.
"Thank you for waiting for me all along..." She whispered softly, leaning her face against his chest. "I would wait for you for all eternity, if necessary." He spoke gently as he returned the embrace, pulling her closer and resting his chin on top of her head. Sissel blushed as she heard his words and pulled away to face him. Yomiel suddenly realized how awkward his phrase sounded and immediately tried to fix things. "I-I-I mean... That's what f-friends do, isn't it? And y-you're my best friend! T-That's what I meant!" He said awkwardly, feeling his face burning in embarrasment. His cheeks were now the same color of Sissel's red scarf and she giggled at his clumsiness. "Oh! I understood, silly." She said in a playful tone, but she also looked a little upset. She didn't understand why she was feeling upset about what he just said, though. After all, he was right! That's what friends do. And this was a true friendship... Or it could be something more?
************
Yomiel then heard a meow which interrupted his thoughts. He glanced down and saw the small black kitten staring at him with its big yellow eyes. Apparently, it had followed him since he had left it waiting in a bush in front of the police station when he went to get his body back from the morgue.
For a brief moment, Yomiel was silent, staring at the kitten who was rubbing its head against his legs. Then, after a while, he reached a hand to the little feline.
"I think we're in the same boat, little guy. You have no one else and nowhere to go" He said softly, scratching behind the kitten's ears. The little creature was purring excitedly. "So, I guess you can come with me. But you will need a name... How should I call you, then?"
As he stopped petting the kitten, something got the feline's attention. He sniffed the red scarf that was still in Yomiel's hand and poked it with his paws, in curiosity.
"Oh! You want this?" Yomiel lifted the red scarf above the kitten's head and the animal tried to catch it with both paws. The man smiled lightly as he saw the small kitten playing with his late fiancée's scarf. "All right! Since you liked it so much, you can have it, little guy."
He then tied the red bandana around the kitten's thin neck. He meowed and purred in satisfaction, which made Yomiel smile.
"You know what? That's a very special scarf. It reminds us of the ones who are important to us, somehow. So, promise me you will take good care of it for me, all right buddy?"
The kitten rubbed his head against Yomiel's hand, which he assumed it was a "yes".
"All right. So, it's a promisse, then." Yomiel said, rubbing the little kitten's head. Then he looked at the sky. The drizzle was getting stronger. He couldn't feel it, but he assumed it was getting colder and he needed to find a place for him and his new furry friend to spend the night.  "We need to find a place to stay. Let's go now, Sissel..."
He grabbed his newly named friend in his arms, holding him tightly so he wouldn't get cold, and walked away, leaving behind everything that he once knew. He had no ideia of what he was going to do from now on, but at least he wasn't so alone anymore. At least now he had a friend who would always keep him company. As he walked down the streets with his little friend in his arms, he remembered the promise he made to his  fiancée when they were still just two innocent kids:
I want you to look after it for me... So this way, I'll always be with you, even if I'm far away... I promise that, one day, we'll meet again. When that day comes, you can give it back to me, but until then...  I want you to take good care of it for me, okay?" Okay... I promise...

Right after he recovered his body from the morgue, he hurried to her house, only to find her dead, leaving him only a note that said:
“I’m coming to you, Yomiel.”
The only woman he truly cared for was now gone from his life forever and there was nothing he could do.
“It doesn’t make sense that I still exist. Everything that I loved was taken away from me, was torn away from my life and I didn’t even had the chance to say goodbye.
What did I do to deserve all of this suffering?
I never had bad intentions, I never wanted to hurt anyone and this is the reward I get? Now I can realize how unfair life is.”
Yomiel thought to himself.
“Hey, Sissy… May I ask you something?”
“Sure! Go ahead!” The girl answered with a smile.
“Why do you always wear this red scarf around your neck?”
She stoped walking and looked directly at him, slightly surprised at his sudden question.
“Why are you asking me this?”
Yomiel blushed a little and looked down, ashamed. He thought he’d made a stupid question to her.
“Well… huh.. I’m just curious… That’s all…" He fidgeted nervously with his fingers
Sissel looked straight into his eyes and she could notice the innocence and sincerity in his words. Then, she took a deep breath before answering her friend.
"Well… You see… This red scarf once belonged to my mother. It was her favorite and she used to wear it all the time. I was too young when she left this world, so I can’t remember her very well… So my dad gave it to me so I would always remember about her. It’s like a part of her is always with me, no matter what. That’s why I wear it all the time.”
“Oh…” Yomiel looked down, his eyes expressing his pity.“I see… I’m so sorry for your mom…”
“You don’t need to feel sorry.
“When… when will you have to leave?”
She bit the bottom of her lip, trying to hold the tears that wanted to stream down by her face.
“We’re leaving tomorrow, at afternoon.” She squeezed his hands and looked into his eyes “Listen, Yommy… I want you to promise me something.”
“Sure.
Seven years had passed since his best friend had moved to another country.
Let’s go now, Sissel…“
As he walked down the streets with his little friend in his arms, he remembered the promise he made to his  fiancée when they were still just two innocent kids:

.
Actual Toaster: Robin: *he kicks the door open. Jesus* Hail, Izanagi! How are you this fine day? MeowMix: Izanagi: *he looks up from his book*Hello, Robin-san. I'm doing just fine. Yourself? Actual Toaster: Robin: I'm doing quite alright, thanks for asking! Just left something behind. MeowMix: Izanagi: You'd better find it, before someone else does. Actual Toaster: Robin: Oh I will. Was there someone in particular you were thinking would take it? MeowMix: Izanagi: Cats. Any of the thieves. Someone who sees it, picks it up, and decides its theirs. Actual Toaster: Robin: If you mean the Phantom Thieves, you forget I'm part of them! MeowMix: Izanagi: Would they be the only thieves around? Actual Toaster: Robin: Well, I suppose that's a fair point... Actual Toaster: Robin: ...Although I can't see why anyone would take a bow... MeowMix: Izanagi: Speaking of taking, have you heard from Loki as of late? He's taking a while to return. Actual Toaster: Robin: *he gives Izanagi a strange look* Has Lupin not told you already? MeowMix: Izanagi: I.. Haven't seen him around, either.. Actual Toaster: Robin: Akechi is dead. Headshot. Loki was his active Persona. MeowMix: Izanagi: ... ... What? Actual Toaster: Robin: Goro Akechi is dead. He died in the Palace a few days ago- he was shot. MeowMix: Izanagi: And Loki..? Actual Toaster: Robin: Loki was his active Persona at the time. There's a very high likelyhood he's dead, too, since his life was directly tied to Akechi's. MeowMix: Izanagi: .... ..... And where, exactly, is his body? Actual Toaster: Robin: His body is probably gone by now... Akechi was reported missing and his apartment was searched for clues. Actual Toaster: Robin: So if Loki's body was there, it's probably been taken by the police to the morgue as a John Doe. MeowMix: Izanagi: Great. Excellent. I can't wait to break into a morgue to shove revival beads down a corpse's throat. So exciting. *the sass. it is real* Actual Toaster: Robin: ...I... can take you to the apartment if you want to look around for yourself.. I doubt they would have found his room. MeowMix: *In the distance, Thanatos screaming. skreee. What is he screaming at this time? This cat, apparently.* Actual Toaster: *gabriel can be heard cursing out this same cat. This is. truly beautiful.* MeowMix: Thanatos: *he's lost the ability to words. Only screaming now.* Actual Toaster: Gabriel: *I mean, she's not really coherent either, it's mostly cursing here, in various languages. Its actually impressive considering she basically never swears otherwise. all because of cat. But suddenly, a sentence!* Get back here, you little...! MeowMix: *and Sissel, trying to evade both of these hellions, skids and dashes into the next room, and right up the first person he sees. I hope you don't mind claws, Robin* Actual Toaster: Robin: Ow, ow, ow! MeowMix: Sissel: *Robin's head is his perch, now, and he's got something in his mouth* Actual Toaster: Robin: *he reaches up and grabs Sissel, and pulls him off his head* That hurt, you know, you fiend! MeowMix: Sissel: mrow! Actual Toaster: Gabriel: *and she she busts in, with a look like a wild animal on her face* H-hand over that cat at once! Actual Toaster: Robin: *what the hell is goING ON* What do you want with a cat..?? MeowMix: *Thanny nearly crashes into Gabby, but manages to stop himself* MeowMix: Thanatos: Not the cat..! What it has in it's mouth..! Actual Toaster: Robin: ??? What are you after that for?? Leave the poor thing alone. Actual Toaster: Gabriel: It's a matter of my job! Give me the cat, please, so I can take what's rightfully mine! MeowMix: Thanatos: It isn't yours! Actual Toaster: Gabriel: It is, too! Actual Toaster: Robin: ... *he looks to Izanagi* You like cats, right? MeowMix: Izanagi: Hand him over. Actual Toaster: Robin: *so he does* MeowMix: Izanagi: Hello, Sissel. *he looks at Gabby and Thanny* Neither of you are getting him. Shoo. Begone with you. Actual Toaster: Gabriel: But- Actual Toaster: Robin: You heard him, shoo, shoo. *he waves his hands at gabby and thanny, like hes chasing away a child* MeowMix: Thanatos: *he makes a groaning noise, and turns to leave* Actual Toaster: Gabriel: *she also leaves, though she seems. Irritated.* MeowMix: Izanagi: *he looks down at Sissel. What IS that in his mouth..?* MeowMix: *Sissel mews, and time stops. Someone else appears to be in the World of the Dead!* Actual Toaster: soul: {.......} MeowMix: Sissel: *he assumes Yomiel's form, as per default* Eh? Still not talking? Actual Toaster: soul: {...... I didn't think there was much to comment on...} MeowMix: Sissel: {You can speak, alright! That's great. Do you know who you are? Or why you are here?} Actual Toaster: soul: {Who I am...? I'm...} *they pause for a minute, thinking it over* {Loki. But I don't think I can answer your other question right now, things are still a bit foggy.} *Loki takes his proper form!* MeowMix: Sissel: {Hello, Loki. There's no other way to tell you- You've died.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {Oh- that would make sense. But this isn't Niflheim- where is this?} MeowMix: Sissel: {The World of the Dead. Psychopomps were trying to steal you away.. I don't know what they'd do with you.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {I wouldn't really know, either, especially if neither of them comes from my home.} MeowMix: Sissel: {I doubt they do.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {But, well, er- now what? I suppose, as I am dead, I can't really stick around...} MeowMix: Sissel: {You won't be for much longer, if you know where your body is.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {It's in the apartment I shared with Robin and Goro... But I'm not sure you can ask Robin, and you definitely can't ask Goro...} MeowMix: Sissel: {Well, I'm going to anyway.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {I'm not sure Robin is alive either, and Goro is dead.} MeowMix: Sissel: *he exits the WotD, and looks at Robin, before letting Loki's soul go. it can float there* {You mean this Robin?} Actual Toaster: Loki: {Yes, that's him. I would have thought he would have died, too.} MeowMix: Sissel: {Well, here goes nothing. And something.} Loki says that he thought you'd have died, too. Care to explain? Actual Toaster: Robin: *AAA WHAT THE FUCK THE CAT IS TALKING* MeowMix: Izanagi: Oh, is this Loki? *he puts a hand under the soul, which is Loki* Actual Toaster: Loki: {Rrright, I forgot to mention Robin has absolutely no ability to react calmly to anything supernatural...} MeowMix: Sissel: {Eh? Not at all? That'll be interesting.} Actual Toaster: Robin: And how is that Loki?! (It looks nothing like him...!) MeowMix: Sissel: It's his soul. He's definitely dead- No doubt about it. *he drops his voice an octave, to match his voice in the WotD* We've got a mystery to solve, fellas. Where's this stiff's body at? Actual Toaster: Robin: Well, I knew that much already... MeowMix: Sissel: Y'wanna answer me, pal? Actual Toaster: Robin: Well, like I said earlier, it's either in the apartment or the morgue. MeowMix: Sissel: I wasn't here, pally-o. Actual Toaster: Robin: It's Robin. Robin Hood. Actual Toaster: Loki: {If he won't show you to the apartment, try telling him it's for justice, or something like that.} MeowMix: Sissel: *he puts his voice back where it belongs* Sissel. {Gotcha.} Actual Toaster: Robin: A pleasure. MeowMix: Sissel: Could you show us this apartment? Actual Toaster: Robin: Well, I don't know how you plan on getting in. MeowMix: Sissel: With justice and ghost tricks! MeowMix: Sissel: {Like this?} Actual Toaster: Loki: {Well, he looks interested, so that's a start.} Actual Toaster: Robin: That only gets you so far against security systems, you know.. MeowMix: Sissel: Can those detect ghosts? ... Hm, I don't know how to beat those yet.. Actual Toaster: Robin: You'd have to disable it. MeowMix: Izanagi: It'd probably be difficult to do that on site.. Actual Toaster: Robin: I'm not very computer or tech-savvy, so I can't help there. *he takes his bow off the table* MeowMix: Sissel: I know someone who can! But, I doubt he wants to come. Actual Toaster: Robin: I could carry him. MeowMix: Sissel: That won't work if he's insistent enough! Actual Toaster: Robin: It should be a decent challenge?... MeowMix: Sissel: I'd like to watch that attempt! Actual Toaster: Robin: Well, unless you can think of away to get through that security system, I don't think you'll be getting to his body. MeowMix: *Izanagi has already whipped out his phone. What a great device* Actual Toaster: Robin: ? MeowMix: Izanagi: I can figure out who we're talking about. I've already sent a- Oh, that was a fast response. Of just the word "no." Actual Toaster: Robin: Well, then you're out of luck. Actual Toaster: Loki: {Ask him where he put his key.} MeowMix: Sissel: Where'd you put your key? Actual Toaster: Robin: My key? Hmm. *he looks like he's thinking* ...Probably on the counter! MeowMix: Sissel: Inside the building? Actual Toaster: Robin: Yup. Actual Toaster: Loki: {...He continues to surprise me, and not in a good way.} MeowMix: Yomiel: I've already lost I.Q., and I just got here. Actual Toaster: Robin: I feel like I should be offended by that. MeowMix: Yomiel: You should be. From one to ten, just how illegal is this? Actual Toaster: Robin: Uhh.. Well, it's breaking into an apartment, so... MeowMix: Yomiel: Eh. I won't be caught if I do, so, fine. I'm in. MeowMix: Sissel: Important question! Is there a payphone or something near the building that can be called? Actual Toaster: Robin: Oh, yes. There is. Actual Toaster: Robin: Why..? MeowMix: Sissel: I needed to know for my tricky reasons. You guys are going to have to go on ahead of us! Actual Toaster: Robin: Well, okay, that's fine. MeowMix: Yomiel: *he snags a piece of paperand a pen off the table, and scribbles down a number* Call this number when you're there. Hang up on the fourth ring. We'll be there a moment or so after. Actual Toaster: Robin: ...O...kay... I'll do that. MeowMix: Sissel: Thank you! Actual Toaster: Robin: Well, uh, let's go, Izanagi? MeowMix: Izanagi: Right. Actual Toaster: *so nagi and robin Go* MeowMix: Izanagi: *he does not say 'are we there yet'* Actual Toaster: Robin: *when they Arrive, he stops at the payphone and, well, follows yomiel's directions. Hes never been more confused.* MeowMix: *About a minute later, the WotD is opened, and everyone is pulled in! yaaay.* MeowMix: Sissel: {We're here!!} Actual Toaster: Robin: *his immediate reaction is to scream. me too.* Actual Toaster: Loki: {Told you.} MeowMix: Sissel: {You did!} *he drops yomiel's appearance, to make things less confusing* {Should we get going?} Actual Toaster: Robin: *hes still SO CONFUSED but hes not screaming at least* {I- I guess...??} MeowMix: Sissel: {Do you want me to explain all of this on the way there?} Actual Toaster: Robin: {Go right ahead... actually, I'd appreciate it...} MeowMix: *so, on the walk there, sissel explains what the hot shit is going on* Actual Toaster: Robin: So what's the plan for getting in?... MeowMix: Yomiel: {We'll open it up from inside. Wait here.} Actual Toaster: Robin: *He's still extremely confused.* MeowMix: Sissel: In short, ghosts! Actual Toaster: Robin: Wait a second. I know Loki is currently a ghost, but he is too?? MeowMix: Sissel: No, but yes. Which is why we can't take all day. All night? Actual Toaster: Robin: what? MeowMix: Sissel: After! *he goes around the corner, looking for a good way in* Actual Toaster: Robin: Uh, okay.. MeowMix: Izanagi: ... I feel like I'm going to have to play explanation bingo. Actual Toaster: Robin: Yeah, probably. MeowMix: *Meanwhile, Sissel has gotten inside! And realized he has no idea where he is going.* Actual Toaster: Loki: {...Do you need help?} MeowMix: Sissel: {I'm lost.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {Third floor, 318b.} MeowMix: Sissel: {Okay, thanks} *and he looks at the stairs. looks at the door to the stairs. Reaches up and calls the elevator* Actual Toaster: Loki: {Yeah, wasn't sure how you were gonna manage that.} MeowMix: Sissel: {I love modern technology.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {Don't we all?} MeowMix: Sissel: {No idea.} Actual Toaster: *nothing exciting happens. its an elevator* MeowMix: *it doesn't break. someone gets to see a cat leave an elevator. ok* Actual Toaster: *this is Fine* MeowMix: *yes* MeowMix: *and so, sissel goes to 318b* Actual Toaster: *the door is closed.* MeowMix: *Sissel stares up at it* Actual Toaster: Loki: {Any plans?} MeowMix: Sissel: {I have no idea how to open this.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {It's an electronic security system.} MeowMix: Sissel: {Yomiel, help.} MeowMix: *the door unlocks and swings open about twenty seconds later* Actual Toaster: Loki: {That was fast.} MeowMix: Yomiel: {I was already here.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {Were you? You work quickly, then.} MeowMix: Yomiel: {I've learned to.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {That's fair. Should we wait?} MeowMix: Yomiel: {Sure. I'm going to make sure the security is actually down.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {Fair.} MeowMix: Izanagi: *he's here now, with Robin in tow* Actual Toaster: Robin: Oh, you got the door open? MeowMix: Yomiel: {Yes.} Actual Toaster: Robin: *and he enters, like he owns the place. ... wait.* MeowMix: *Sissel turns and walks away. Distant key noise. Key jingling noises. Sissel returns, doing that little strut, with Robin's keys in his mouth.* Actual Toaster: Robin: Hey, those are mine... MeowMix: Sissel: {Exactly!} Actual Toaster: Robin: *He leans down to get his keys* MeowMix: *sissel gives them to robin* Actual Toaster: Robin: Thanks. ..And you know you can come inside, right, Izanagi? MeowMix: Izanagi: ... Oh. Of course. Actual Toaster: Robin: Go ahead and look for his body, since you wanted to. MeowMix: Izanagi: *he looks a bit nervous for a moment, before nodding and walking away* Actual Toaster: *pretty basic apartment. Nothin of note, really--oh that's a bucket of ice water. sorry izanagi* Actual Toaster: Loki: {Whoops.} MeowMix: Izanagi: *he looks less than impressed* Actual Toaster: Robin: What was that? MeowMix: Izanagi: a bucket of water. Actual Toaster: Robin: A bucket of water?? MeowMix: Izanagi: On a door. Actual Toaster: Robin: Oh. Loki probably set that up before he, um. Died. Actual Toaster: Loki: {Stop talking about me like I'm not here.} MeowMix: Izanagi: I'd figured things like this had been taken down by now.. Actual Toaster: Robin: Evidently there were a few that were missed. MeowMix: Izanagi: I see this. Actual Toaster: Robin: You can keep looking, if you want. MeowMix: Izanagi: I intend to. Actual Toaster: Robin: Don't break anything. MeowMix: Izanagi: I won't- At least, not intentionally. Actual Toaster: Robin: Sounds good. I'll help in a minute. MeowMix: *izanagi walks away, again* Actual Toaster: *robin joins him soonish* Actual Toaster: Robin: Find anything? MeowMix: Izanagi: Just this tazer attached to a doorknob. Actual Toaster: Robin: ..I'm going to kick Loki. MeowMix: Izanagi: Not today you aren't. Actual Toaster: Robin: What do you mean not today? MeowMix: Izanagi: Let him recover first. Actual Toaster: Robin: He put a taser on a doorknob.. MeowMix: Izanagi: My point stands. Actual Toaster: Robin: I think this is an exception. MeowMix: Izanagi: We'll see what kind of condition he is in. Actual Toaster: Robin: I'm still kicking him, I'll just be more gentle if it's bad. Actual Toaster: Loki: {Your idea of gentle is very different from actual gentleness.} MeowMix: Izanagi: :< Actual Toaster: Robin: He put a taser on a door. Come on, that deserves a kick. *and he carefully inspects this set up. then removes the taser from the doorknob.* MeowMix: Izanagi: Later. Actual Toaster: Robin: Okay, fine. *he goes to open the door. and. gets electrocuted anyway* MeowMix: Izanagi: ... Ah. Actual Toaster: Robin: *WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO MEEE* MeowMix: Izanagi: *he pulls Robin away from the door, and goes to do it himself* Actual Toaster: *That is a battery.* MeowMix: Izanagi: .... Loki, why? Actual Toaster: Actual Toaster: Loki: {I didn't think the doorknob was metal.} MeowMix: Izanagi: I'm letting him kick you now. Actual Toaster: Loki: {Don't do that...} MeowMix: Izanagi: Are you trying to kill others, too? ... Is there anything else like this? Actual Toaster: Loki: {I'm not TRYING to... And I don't think so.} MeowMix: Yomiel: {Ha. Hahaha.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {What?} MeowMix: Yomiel: {Explain the seven rube goldbergs in this hallway alone.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {There's a reason I'm not allowed to be home alone.} MeowMix: Yomiel: {I see.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {I get bored. The results are not usually this bad, but.} MeowMix: Yomiel: {... Some of these are easy to disassemble.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {Not that big a deal to me..} MeowMix: Yomiel: *he goes to disassemble some of them* Actual Toaster: *Loki does nothing to stop him, not that he can.* Actual Toaster: Robin: Do you want to go look at his room, Izanagi? MeowMix: Izanagi: Sure. Actual Toaster: Robin: Okay, it's this way. MeowMix: *so they head down the hall* Actual Toaster: Robin: *he points to the bookshelf* Actual Toaster: Robin: *so he goes and. opens it* MeowMix: *hello, thy name is knife* Actual Toaster: Robin: you son of a bitch MeowMix: *and it just so happens to be at eye level. shwing* Actual Toaster: Robin: *he leans back* MeowMix: *and it narrowly misses his face* Actual Toaster: Robin: Can't you disarm your traps, Loki? Jeez. MeowMix: Sissel: That could have killed you. Actual Toaster: Robin: I'm aware. MeowMix: Sissel: And then it'd be a mess. Actual Toaster: Robin: Like I said, I'm aware. Let's just get this over with. MeowMix: *does robin go in?* Actual Toaster: *yes he does* MeowMix: *and then, boxing glove. right to the gut* Actual Toaster: Robin: *he drops onto the floor and curls into the fetal position* MeowMix: Yomiel: {Direct hit. I didn't think that was going to be that harmful.} Actual Toaster: Loki: {Nor did I.} MeowMix: Izanagi: We need him, you know. Actual Toaster: Loki: {What for?} MeowMix: Izanagi: Not as deadweight. Actual Toaster: Loki: {He was anyway, wasn't he?} MeowMix: Izanagi: Be nice. Actual Toaster: Loki: {I'm not wrong, am I?} MeowMix: Izanagi: Stop. Actual Toaster: Loki: {What?} MeowMix: Izanagi: ... .... I don't want to go in there anymore. Actual Toaster: Loki: {Eh? Why not?} MeowMix: Izanagi: *he makes this face, somewhere between nervous and disgusted* Actual Toaster: Loki: {Ah.} Actual Toaster: Robin: *he grunts* Do you want me to go in first? MeowMix: Izanagi: Yes, please. Actual Toaster: Robin: Oh, fine. *and he gets up and goes. in. helloooo loki's body, on the floor.* Wow, you've looked better, Loki. Actual Toaster: Loki: {I resent that!} MeowMix: Izanagi: *he looks in* .....ah Actual Toaster: Loki: {Now hurry up and revive me.) Actual Toaster: Robin: I'll consider it. Actual Toaster: Loki: {You're playing a dangerous game, Robin.} MeowMix: Sissel: *he sniffs at Loki's body* Actual Toaster: *it's a dead body. i dont know what he expects.* Actual Toaster: Robin: Uh-huh. *but he samarecarms loki anyway* MeowMix: Sissel: *he places a paw on Loki's face* Actual Toaster: Loki: *he sounds. very hoarse.* ... You know, I don't actually think I can move. MeowMix: Yomiel: {... Do you need help?} Actual Toaster: Loki: If you think you can. MeowMix: Yomiel: {Apologies if I do something harmful.} *and he goes for Loki's core. Hostile Takeover, take 1* Actual Toaster: Loki: "Something harmful", eh? 'S a little vague. MeowMix: Yomiel: {Like this.} *and he goes to stand Loki up* Actual Toaster: Loki: Whoa. Okay, that was a little weird. MeowMix: Yomiel: {Only a little? Would you like to do an irish jig, too, while I'm at it?} Actual Toaster: Loki: Pass. MeowMix: Yomiel: {Good, because I don't know how to dance} Actual Toaster: Loki: That's a shame. Actual Toaster: Loki: ...Y'know, I don't think I can actually feel anything. MeowMix: Yomiel: {That's normal. Give it time.} Actual Toaster: Loki: Oh, is it? That's good. MeowMix: Yomiel: {Look on the bright side. You aren't dead.} Actual Toaster: Loki: I appreciate it, alright. MeowMix: Yomiel: {Good. Just don't take it for granted} Actual Toaster: Loki: Why would I take that for granted? MeowMix: Yomiel: {Most people do.} Actual Toaster: Loki: I've, uh, died before. Not in this.. specific sort of scenario, though. MeowMix: Yomiel: {As have I.} Actual Toaster: Loki: Ah. Noted. MeowMix: *Yomiel drags Loki to the bathroom, to wash his damn face* Actual Toaster: *loki doesnt fight it, since, I mean, I don't think he really can, and he wants to wash his face anyway* MeowMix: *AND IT IS DONE.* Actual Toaster: Robin: ..So what was that face about? MeowMix: Izanagi: I didn't want to see it.. Actual Toaster: Robin: See what? MeowMix: Izanagi: Now, what do you think? Actual Toaster: Robin: Is it because of who it is that was dead? MeowMix: Izanagi: No, but it helped Actual Toaster: Robin: Do you just not like dead things? MeowMix: Izanagi: ... Yes. Actual Toaster: Robin: That's fair. Can't make any judgements about that. Actual Toaster: Robin: I think most people aren't fans of dead things. MeowMix: Izanagi: M-hm.. Actual Toaster: Robin: Ah well. MeowMix: Sissel: we did it, we saved the world, and his life. Actual Toaster: Robin: I don't know about "the world", but sure. Actual Toaster: Robin: Loki and I probably owe everyone an explanation, though, eh... MeowMix: Sissel: About what?? Actual Toaster: Robin: The circumstances leading up to this. MeowMix: Sissel: If you want to! Actual Toaster: Robin: Loki and I are- well, were, now- connected to a kid named Goro Akechi. As in, our lives are linked to his. We're both manifestations of him, if that makes sense. So when Goro got shot, it killed Loki, too. ... I'm not sure how I survived, but I'm not complaining! MeowMix: Sissel: ... Well, I guess there's no changing that. Actual Toaster: Robin: As for what happened with Goro that resulted in him getting shot, well, you might be better off asking Loki. I don't think I can quite put it into words. MeowMix: Sissel: But not now. Actual Toaster: Robin: That's fair! MeowMix: Sissel: :3 Actual Toaster: *ok so since this crew aint doing anything exciting lets see what loki and yoms are up to* Actual Toaster: Loki: Can I have control back? This is kind of inconvenient. MeowMix: Yomiel: {I don't know, can you? Will you be able to function?} Actual Toaster: Loki: Uh, probably? MeowMix: Yomiel: {We'll see.} *yomiel exits stage left* Actual Toaster: *yeah, no, sorry, loki. have fun falling you idiot* MeowMix: Yomiel: {Bye} Actual Toaster: Loki: ... Ah. MeowMix: Yomiel: {So the answer is no.} Actual Toaster: Loki: I suppose so. MeowMix: *so Yomiel zips back in, and stands him back up* Actual Toaster: Loki: I suppose you're going to be here for a while. MeowMix: Yomiel: {I'd rather not.} Actual Toaster: Loki: that's understandable. You are in a stranger's home. MeowMix: Yomiel: {And I'd rather not have extended control.} Actual Toaster: Loki: That's fair. Actual Toaster: Robin: So, how long were you planning to stay anyway? MeowMix: Yomiel: {The minimal amount.} Actual Toaster: Robin: Okay, fine, how long until this one *he gestures to loki* can function? MeowMix: Yomiel: {Fully? .... I've got no idea.} Actual Toaster: Robin: Minimally. MeowMix: Yomiel: {A few days?} Actual Toaster: Robin: Well, that won't work, now will it Actual Toaster: Robin: What do you propose? MeowMix: Sissel: I propose he goes to a vet. Actual Toaster: Loki: I'm not an animal. MeowMix: Sissel: Person vet. Actual Toaster: Robin: Doctor. MeowMix: Sissel: yes, that Actual Toaster: Robin: Is that going to work?... MeowMix: Sissel: Doctors have some kind of magic, so they can fix everything. Or something. Actual Toaster: Robin: Uh, no... People still can die at the doctor's. MeowMix: Sissel: what Actual Toaster: Robin: Sometimes there are things they just can't fix. Actual Toaster: Loki: Cancer. MeowMix: Yomiel: {Please don't explain cancer to my cat.} Actual Toaster: Loki: Okay, okay, I won't. MeowMix: Sissel: And now I want to know. Actual Toaster: Loki: Don't worry about it! Actual Toaster: Robin: Would taking him to a doctor work, though?.. MeowMix: Izanagi: It'd probably be in our best interest to do so. Actual Toaster: Robin: Okay, then, I suppose we can do that. MeowMix: Raphael: *he lightly knocks on the window, and gives Izanagi and thumbs up.* MeowMix: Izanagi: ... I was hoping he'd use the door. Actual Toaster: Robin: oh. MeowMix: Izanagi: Phones are wonderful technology, used to contact others. *he opens the window for Raph, pulls him in, and closes the window. You know it's cold outside when it's cold outside* Actual Toaster: Loki: Oh, it's you. MeowMix: Raphael: Hi, Loki. Actual Toaster: Loki: Hi, Raphael. MeowMix: Yomiel: {Abandoning ship in 3.} Actual Toaster: Loki: Alright. MeowMix: *Yomiel sits Loki down, and gets outta there* MeowMix: Raphael: ...? Actual Toaster: *and loki immediately basically... the best way I can think of to describe it is he just. sags down. like a doll, I guess? idk* MeowMix: Raphael: ??? Actual Toaster: Loki: Hi, I've been dead for about 3 days. MeowMix: Raphael: Ah. *he looks at Izanagi* I'm glad you messaged me. The longer one is dead before being revived, the longer recovery can take- And their body might simply give up and die again. *he looks back to Loki, sitting down on a nearby chair* How long ago were you revived? Actual Toaster: Loki: An. hour? Maybe? Ish. MeowMix: Raphael: You're speaking, so your respiratory system is fine.. How's your motor control? Actual Toaster: Loki: my what MeowMix: Raphael: Controlling your own muscles. Can you stand at all? Actual Toaster: Loki: Ah, no, I cannot. MeowMix: (at least i think thats what it means. i know what fine motor is tho) MeowMix: Raphael: So fine motor control is right out.. How do you feel overall? Actual Toaster: Loki: Not much of anything. Actual Toaster: Loki: Physically, anyway MeowMix: Raphael: And mentally? Actual Toaster: Loki: eh. could be better. MeowMix: Raphael: I need a bit more than that, please. Actual Toaster: Loki: Okay.. What, specifically, about my mental state? MeowMix: Raphael: Well, you stated it could be better. What is making it worse? Actual Toaster: Loki: Persistent feeling of emptiness MeowMix: Raphael: M-hm.. I can understand that, given the information I'd been given. Actual Toaster: Loki: I think that's the only thing, really.. MeowMix: Raphael: ... All right. Actual Toaster: Loki: ..? MeowMix: Raphael: I'll ask for more details later. Actual Toaster: Loki: Sounds good. MeowMix: Raphael: *he looks to the others* Might I ask for you all to leave the room? I'd like to be able to speak privately with him. Actual Toaster: Robin: Uh, we can go into the hall, if that works? MeowMix: Raphael: That's fine. Actual Toaster: Robin: Alright. *so he exits, stage left. Presumably erryone else goes with him* Actual Toaster: Loki: ... So? MeowMix: Raphael: .... I may not have had the same experiences as you, but I can understand what this is like for you. Remember- You might feel empty, but you're certainly not alone. Actual Toaster: Loki: ...*he averts his eyes* I'll keep that in mind. MeowMix: Raphael: Great. Actual Toaster: Loki: I've been trying not to think about it, and I was doing good, too! And then you go and make me think about it. You meddling medic with no dog... *he laughs* MeowMix: Raphael: *he smiles a little* I do apologize, and I'll drop the subject. Here, hold on. *he goes into his bag, and pulls out one of those little containers of ice cream you can buy for like five bucks.* Actual Toaster: Loki: I won't be able to eat that right now. Not until I can actually move. MeowMix: Raphael: I'll save it for when you can. Actual Toaster: Loki: That's fine. We've got a freezer if you wanna put it away now. MeowMix: Raphael: Sure. *he goes and pops into the hall, and disappears for about a minute. He's then back, and shuts the door again. he moves his chair a bit closer to Loki, and sits down* I see that frown. What's going through your mind now? Actual Toaster: Loki: ...Nothing good. MeowMix: Raphael: Share. Actual Toaster: Loki: Am I required to..? MeowMix: Raphael: ... Actually, no. *he gets up again, and moves his chair to riiight next to Loki's* Actual Toaster: Loki: *he looks away from raph and to the door* MeowMix: Raphael: They aren't eavesdropping, if that's what you're wondering. Actual Toaster: Loki: I don't think so. MeowMix: Raphael: *he holds his hands up* You've got my word- I won't share anything you tell me. Actual Toaster: Loki: I.. don't know where to start.. MeowMix: Raphael: Wherever you want. Actual Toaster: Loki: I... Actual Toaster: Loki: *he swallows* I'm.. I wasn't enough. MeowMix: Raphael: You did what you could. Sometimes, the whole world could do their best and it wouldn't be enough. What matters is that you tried. Actual Toaster: Loki: It.. it was my job to look after him, and I failed that. I should be dead, too... and I'm not. Actual Toaster: Loki: I don't even know if he knew that I did care about him, or if he died thinking I didn't like him...! *his voice breaks and he shakily inhales* MeowMix: Raphael: Survivor's guilt. *he shakes his head* I'd think, with the connection you shared, that he'd known. It'd only make sense. Actual Toaster: Loki: *he chokes on a sob and sniffs* I should have... done more for him, expressed properly that I cared, anything... but I didn't, and it's too late now..! And now I'm left with nothing...! Actual Toaster: Loki: It hurts to be here.. to think he'll walk around the corner and it'll be okay... but knowing he won't, I... I can't... I.. MeowMix: Raphael: *he slowly puts an arm around Loki's shoulders* There isn't ever "nothing". Come here. *and he lightly pulls Loki into a hug* Actual Toaster: Loki: *boy does he try not to cry and boy does he fail* MeowMix: *and that's fine.* Actual Toaster: Loki: I don't.. have anywhere to go... I don't... know what to do.. why..why does it have to hurt so much...? I.. *and he chokes on a sob* Actual Toaster: Loki: I.. I tried not to get attached... And I tried to d-do my job, but it wasn't enough and it won't ever be enough..! I shouldn't.. I don't deserve to be here... it's not fair.. MeowMix: Raphael: Untrue. You did what you could. Actual Toaster: Loki: *he looks to the wall, instead of raph* I.. I can't agree with that. MeowMix: Raphael: *he shakes his head* It is going to take time.. But this kind of talk will only make you worse-off. You were attached, correct? ... Instead of hating yourself, why not properly mourn for him? Actual Toaster: Loki: ...... I suppose.. but I.. don't have his body.. MeowMix: Raphael: We don't need to. Actual Toaster: Loki: ..? MeowMix: Raphael: Before I say, how would you mourn him if you could choose? Actual Toaster: Loki: I... I don't know.. MeowMix: Raphael: Ah, well. There's time. Actual Toaster: Loki: I suppose.. Actual Toaster: Loki: ..Can you... do me a favor, maybe? MeowMix: Raphael: Yes? Actual Toaster: Loki: In my coat pocket, the one on the left, that is, is my phone... text Apollo and tell him I'm OK, please. MeowMix: Raphael: Ah, yes. I will. *he grabs Loki's phone* MeowMix: Raphael: [to Apollo] Loki is alive. He asked me to message you for him- So I am! ^^ ~Raphael MeowMix: Apollo: [to Raphael]: TELL HIM THSATY I THOUGH HE WAS DEAD!1 I WANMA COMEW OVER THEERE! AND TYYY FOR TELLINFG ME! MeowMix: Raphael: He's very pleased to know you're alive. Actual Toaster: Loki: I can't say I'm surprised... Actual Toaster: Loki: Thanks for texting him for me, though. MeowMix: Raphael: Of course ^^ Actual Toaster: Loki: I'll.. try to sort out things with myself.. later. Not right now, though. MeowMix: Raphael: Of course not. Resting is important, too! Actual Toaster: Loki: I don't think I'll be able to sleep, but it's really all I can do at this point... MeowMix: Raphael: Do your best. Actual Toaster: Loki: *He sighs* I'll try. Actual Toaster: Loki: ...you'll have to carry me to my bed, though. MeowMix: Raphael: That's fine! *he carrrrefully lifts Loki, and brings him to his bed* Actual Toaster: Loki: Thanks. ... If you want to stick around, you can either sleep on the couch or in Goro's room. MeowMix: Raphael: The first's already taken, and I'd rather not the second. It's fine! Actual Toaster: Loki: Alright, then. Have a good night. MeowMix: *and raph finally exits stage left* Actual Toaster: *during the night (when loki regains his ability to move), loki winds up going out of his room in favor of lying as close to izanagi as he possibly can without making contact, since, he doesnt wanna wake nagi up or anything. no-contact rule probably gets broken by loki later but HEY ITS MORNING NOW SO* MeowMix: Izanagi: *good morning world what the fuck is next to me* Actual Toaster: *its loki, curled into a small ball* MeowMix: Izanagi: ... Ah. Actual Toaster: Robin: No idea when he showed up, but there he is. MeowMix: Izanagi: I see. Actual Toaster: Robin: at least he hasn't gone and wrapped himself around you like a weird python.. MeowMix: Izanagi: I suppose.. Actual Toaster: Robin: Do you want anything to eat?.. MeowMix: Izanagi: Please. Actual Toaster: Robin: Anything in particular? We have cereal, oatmeal, toast.. MeowMix: Izanagi: No real preference. Actual Toaster: Robin: Toast, then. *and he exits, goin to make nagi his toast.* MeowMix: Izanagi: *he sits up and stretches* Actual Toaster: Loki: *he slowly uncurls and yawns* ...Wh' time's it? MeowMix: Izanagi: I've got no idea. Actual Toaster: Loki: Ah...is the sun out..? *he drapes an arm over his eyes* MeowMix: Izanagi: Yes. Actual Toaster: Loki: Mgh. I don't wanna get up. MeowMix: Izanagi: Then don't. Actual Toaster: Loki: I can't sleep all day, though.. MeowMix: Izanagi: I'd rather you didn't. Actual Toaster: Loki: I wasn't planning on it. MeowMix: Izanagi: Then you're getting up.
