I'm interested in the possibility of using recycled plastic in the continuation of its life as opposed to its disposability.
It can be molded, reshaped and recreated into other uses which may give it a longer purpose.
Plastic bags take up to 20 years to disintegrate.
As part of developing my ideas for my temporary research I'm looking at people that are working with plastic and re-creating its use as a durable material rather than its ironic temporary status as it is for now.
CEKG BioWelder is used to connect thermoplastic tubing and used on single-use bags or bag assemblies within all biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes. CEKG BioWelder can weld either dry or liquid-filled tubing in non- classified and classified environment while maintaining product sterility.

Last year when it got too cold, I found a dead bee on my windowsill. Rarely do we get a chance to study them up close, so I decided to store it in a box and keep it to use it as a study for paintings.
I love the natural transparency of the wings and how they reflect the light.
Studying the Bee is part of my research around LIFE CYCLES which led me to the lifecycle of plastic in terms of SINGLEUSE PLASTIC which is ironically not single use and has a much longer and detrimental impact of durability on natural life cycles of animals, insects, nature etc.
