If you're considering PR for your ethical, sustainable, circular or slow fashion business, there's a few things to consider first. Before you jump in, you have to work out if you're really ready for PR.

There’s a right time and a wrong time to do PR, and it’s what we’re covering inside my Slow Fashion Circle this month, because PR can be a game-changer or a dealbreaker for your slow fashion business. Here's a few things to consider...

Five years ago, I was a mess in business. I was so stressed and stretched and overwhelmed that my body started to shut down. When I was laying on a bed with a heart monitor attached to me looking at stark white hospital walls wondering WTF was happening to my body, I realised it was stress

If you’re new to running a slow fashion label or brand and it feels like you’re running blind sometimes, you’re not alone.
So many slow fashion business founders I know launch their brands because they can’t find what they’re looking for themselves, but they go into it with 0% experience. If that’s you, it’s perfectly normal! 0% experience is a great place to start because the only way is up.

#Nomakeup. No greenwashing. I thought about getting all dolled up and doing my hair and makeup today but what I really felt like was being was comfortable and natural and this is the dress that I ended up in.
It’s by @bamboobodyau and it’s made from bamboo.

Conversations create change and that’s what my weekly LIVE chats are about. I speak with incredible guests doing amazing things in the slow fashion industry and we talk about all things fashion, business, sustainability, growth strategies and sales. The good, the bad, the ugly, the stuff everyone’s talking about and the stuff we need to talk about more - if it’s happening in the fashion business world, I want to talk about it!

I have 4 weeks to go and I am seriously uncomfortable 😂 Right now, I’m gravitating towards anything that makes this end of my pregnancy as easy as possible and comfy clothes are a big part of it.

Today's Instagram LIVE with Lottie Woods was an inspiring conversation on all things sustainable fashion from a technical design perspective. Tech packs aren’t the first thing you think of when you’re trying to build an ethical, sustainable, circular or slow fashion label - but they are so important.

I'm ok to be honest about it - I really, really sucked at running a business. I didn't have a plan and I didn't have a strategy. I just put one foot in front of the other and did what I could every day, and it worked for the first five years, but I couldn't seem to scale my business.

The real reason your fashion business isn’t growing isn't about your price point. It’s not about your products. It’s not about ‘the economy’.
It’s your pricing model. READ: https://thefashionadvocate.com/blogs/sustainable-business/this-is-the-real-reason-your-slow-fashion-business-isnt-growing

Pricing. It's a hot topic, especially in the ethical and sustainable fashion world. When you can buy a $4 fast fashion dress online, it can be tricky explaining to a customer why your ethical and sustainable dress is $400.
