「Dream SMP Daemon AU 」

☉ TOMMYINNIT + FLICKA (BLUE JAY) ☉

An aggressive, bold, mischievous species of corvid, blue jays are found all over most of North America because they can thrive basically anywhere, always experimenting and innovating to find new ways to achieve their goals. They have a very broad diet and can eat just about anything. They are also noted for their ability to create their own tools to get food.

Blue jays collect and cache far more food than they actually need, oftentimes shrewdly stealing it from other animals and birds. When they cache their food, they are wary of doing it in front of others, who might see where their food is hidden and steal it in turn. However, they do not show this wariness in front of other blue jays, showing an odd sort of open, trusting nature, wherein they are fully willing to take advantage of others, but do not really expect others to take advantage of them in the same fashion.

Blue jays value spontaneity and freedom, sometimes migrating and sometimes not; they don’t always even migrate in the same direction. While they are not especially noted for their altruism or cooperation – except for when they flock to mob predators – and do not tie themselves down to one specific social group, they do mate for life, showing a selectively committed nature under the right circumstances.

Blue jays are open books when it comes to their emotional states, and will communicate their feelings and opinions clearly and without hesitation through feather displays. In addition to this, however, they do have an underhanded, ruthless side when it comes to getting their way and things that they want, as they are excellent mimics, not just of other birds but of cats and even humans. They will often fake raptor calls to scare off other birds and will forcibly evict other birds out of nests so they can use them themselves.

Tommy is brash, self-indulgent, and trusting. Flicka is his scheming, socially perceptive, vigilant side.

NAME MEANING Flicka is the pet form of the English Felicity, meaning "happy" or "lucky." It also sounds like "flicker," meaning a) to move irregularly or unsteadily, b) to burn or shine fitfully or with a fluctuating light, and c) to appear or pass briefly or quickly.

(pause as we look at the date)#...actually don't worry about it we'll finish it eventually #wereweevil form draws inspiration from both mantids and wild boars!#we're going with the theory that weevils and primal weevils are NOT the same species #but rather different species entirely that tend to cohabitate and have some aesthetic similarities because of it #golden path weevils are a VERY altered form of weevils that have adapted very far from their original form over time #and primal weevils are a member of superorder dictyoptera split off from an ancestor like...#googling it suggests the common name we're familiar with is not actually common since it didnt bring up results but the wood mantis #but honestly it could either be a split from one of the Flat Fuck mantids or a roach w those raptorial forelegs #while golden path weevils have evolved specifically to eat seedlings and are most likely a split of acorn weevil #primal weevils are Something Else Entirely and have the “everything and the kitchen sink” diet of a roach #though they do prefer plumplings and have over time developed teeth specifically for cracking them open and eating them #their mutualistic relationship with golden path weevils stems from this: cracking open otherwise difficult plumpling prey for GP weevils #and receiving the benefits of a pack of allies for hunting more difficult prey in return #primal weevils are most likely an awakened species from what we've seen of canon but we doubt roaches would acknowledge them #as related much less potentially another form of roach #seeing as the roaches in game seem to be purely based on a handful of “pest” species and not the absolute wealth of roach species out there #that have unique adaptations or mimicry or anything of the like #we don't think they would take well to mimic roaches or anything of the like. also ties in to our hcs for levi.#if youre not one of the core species of roach then you dont get considered a “roach”. there are probably plenty of mimic roaches out there #just not acknowledged as Roaches because the Roaches bugarians are familiar with were a single culture with only a handful of species

neurodiverse tumblr friends, I have some autism questions!! if you have autism, and especially if you were older when you found out about it: at what age did you begin to suspect you had autism? when/if you got an official diagnosis and how you went about it? would you recommend pursuing a diagnosis or at least talking to a medical professional about autism to someone wondering if they may have it? to you, what are the benefits of having a diagnosis/not having a diagnosis (depending on which one applies to you)?

Just some examples below of characters at camp in GW not being okay with what Claude does (mainly to reiterate past points I’ve made about him/the route):

Mind you, the game forces all characters to cooperate with Claude in GW, even though a lot of them disagree (Marianne adamantly is against everything Claude is doing and expresses it regularly. Her excuse for not leaving or doing anything about is that she hopes the war ends quickly, but she still repeatedly expresses that she doesn’t believe what they’re doing is the right thing to do).

Lorenz repeatedly questions Claude’s decisions, as he should, but due to it being the GW route, all the characters have to follow what he does and just deal with it. There’s no “hey this is bullshit I’m out”, when realistically at this point a good handful of characters would’ve walked out.

This proves the writer’s are totally aware of what they’re writing and know the nuance to it! It’s just that... because Claude is the main character of this route, he’s swept up in the story and has to be adjusted to fit the story accordingly.

There’s no happy ending for the Kingdom and Alliance unless Sylvain (who is a major player in Faerghus politics) can agree to it, which is highly unlikely after he openly expresses his hatred for Claude/the Alliance (as he puts it, the “invaders”, which... were Claude/the Alliance).

Also, I have another post with the camp part of Hapi saying that it’s scummy of the Alliance/Federation that the only reason she and Constance are alive is because they surrendered. In other words, she finds the “surrender or die” thing to be scummy. Then we have Yuri, who notices the same issue:

This point proves that Claude is pretty cold hearted in this route. He not only forces Ashe to surrender (or die, as is implied by his dialogue when he says “Dimitri would be sad if you died” and thus urging him to surrender), but then he even has Ashe fight against his own people.

While this is a recruit mechanic issue and is a problem in all routes generally speaking, it’s not highlighted upon by other characters about other characters. That is to say, Petra for example in AG will express relief that they didn’t have to kill Dorothea, but she doesn’t mention anything about Dimitri forcing them to fight the Empire (which Petra decides to do entirely by her own will). Dorothea expresses some reluctance at first in her own camp dialogue, but it’s never mentioned that Dimitri is forcing anyone to fight against their will.

The fact that other characters are commenting on it means other characters are seeing and understanding what’s going on (which is more than a lot of players can say apparently, like the ones who blindly send hate to people who didn’t enjoy GW/SB lol). They recognize that everything Claude is doing is just shitty and shouldn’t be what they’re doing.

So... why do they keep fighting with him? Because... bad writing. That’s honestly it. Because they’re all forced, by the writing and route’s story, to keep fighting for Claude even though probably a good half of his camp doesn’t agree with his actions. Even though, if this were a better story even somewhat, and if Claude still did what he’s been doing here in this somewhat better story, the story would be made better by the disagreeing characters defecting to the Kingdom. Mind you, three background lords did try to defect to the Kingdom... and were promptly shut down from defecting.

If this were a good story, Claude wouldn’t have had his morals flipped on their head. If this were a decentish story, Claude would have lost a good chunk of his allies who defected after being fed up with his behavior and decisions. If this were a bad and lazily written story, it would look like it does.

ALSO I ran out of tags to explain my last point BUT

the irony of all this is that when he killed Shahid, he was trying not to cry and got drunk over it. This guy who had been trying to kill him and would’ve done so without batting an eye (and probably would’ve told everyone and bragged about it), this guy who has been presumably among his siblings trying to kill him his entire life, and this is who he feels guilty about killing. Then he goes marching to Faerghus, invades them and says he just wants to talk while forcing one of their royal knights to surrender or die.

Apparently Claude would rather feel sad about the brother of his that tried to murder him than the innocent people who never wronged him.

#Three Hopes #Three Hopes Spoilers #and the thing is it's hard for Claude fans to stomach this in general like #this isn't dominantly Claude haters who hate GW. it's people who love Claude who don't like the story #it's people who loved the guy they knew in Houses being like wtf is this writing #why is Claude so different when Dimitri and Edelgard aren't different #Dimitri is just the same as he'd be post Gronder in AM but a bit younger and with more supportive friends #and didn't have to be on the run for five years all by himself with a super bad mental illness #like... it's the same Dimitri at his core. Edelgard is the same person at her core and she strives for the same goals #Claude has some personality alterations that make sense in that he didn't attend school for the whole year #so his friendships weren't formed the same way and he spent less time with Dimitri to get to know him #so when he says ''I still have no idea what's going on in Dimitri's head'' that's a 180 contrast from AM Claude #who Byleth can point out Claude knows/understands very well #so yeah his general uncertainty about people he didn't know as well makes sense #but changing his morality and his views on war and bloodshed and how far he's willing to go isn't the same #Claude would take any available means to resolve something peacefully. if this were happening with Houses Claude #he would have sent a letter to Dimitri asking to meet with him to talk first so they could figure things out #because WHAT DO YOU KNOW in the secret chapter when they talk it proves that's all he even needed to do to get some answers #it just makes Claude look dumb despite Houses pointing out that he's very intelligent and the opposite of a typical #person raised in Almyra because they're similar to Faerghus in that they value strength #Claude isn't super powerful and instead has a good head on his shoulders which makes him feel even more different and an outsider in Almyra #GW Claude is just swept along and molded to fit the story as needed and not allowed to be his own character properly #even though VW and SS were practically the same thing Claude was still Claude you know?#this just feels like they didn't know what to do with Claude bc they wanted to try something new with him #like since they didn't get to utilize a less casual/relaxed Claude in Houses they did it in Hopes #they didn't get to make him as cynical as they wanted to... and so they did it in Hopes. they just... went overboard and didn't do it right?#bc I can easily see Claude being more cynical and stuff /to the right people and to his enemies/#which would mean in a direct way Thales and co and the Empire/Edelgard. not Faerghus just minding their business #As a Lorenz fan I ate like a god in this route. As a Claude fan... I lost about 180 years on my life from his 180!

#it belongs to my classmates father! she let me borrow it for today!#i got to look into it a little at school and got to page 51 out of excitement - its really well phrased and teaches well!#i already knew most of the concepts covered so far but i /did/ gain some new vocabulary knowledge‚ which is great #it's fascinating! i wonder how far i'll get into it in just one day. probably pretty far #im quite surprised myself as to how much this is exciting me‚ but i can't help it... the similarities are very fascinating #i've also found that it clicks much better into my mind when im learning italian through turkish! unlike duolingo‚ which teaches it in -#- english.#of course‚ sentence structure difference between turkish and italian does make it a tiny bit challenging when forming an italian sentence #(as i confuse the word order‚ especially when going beyond a simple subject-verb-object sentence)#but otherwise it's fascinating how i understand much better through turkish!#im very excited to read through it as far as i can.#i'll have to give it back tomorrow - tragedy‚ really.#i'll find a pdf of it though‚ its fine #🌙rambling #side note // her father's notes all the way back from 2002 are still in this and it's so endearing.#hi sir i don't know you. your handwriting is really small. thank you #by god i will take care of this book like my life depends on it to make sure nothing happens to it. this book contains so much #it has 551 pages worth of material by the way

#so like i have one girl i was friends with at a very young age that was a little weird and i was Very Normal about #and permanently changed me as a person #but i am remembering now the other two girls i had close friendships with at the time that i was also Very Normal about #and idk . it's just weird to think about!#one of them i remember thinking so highly of and thinking she was so nice and pretty and smart #and we called each other on our landlines all the time but i was just always so awkward and quiet #and my mom put it in my head that i wasn't pulling my weight in the friendship and wasn't good enough for her #and it made me pull away because i was scared #and the other girl went to a different school so ppl always made fun of me for talking about her #ough.... auughhhhh... im losing it a lil #being 20 is so bad for my health <3 #of course i do not talk to any of them now. which is typical i guess. like how many ppl maintain friendships from childhood into their 20s?#but it still makes my heart hurt. idk! i was trying to reconnect w the second girl in hs. we did some stuff together the summer after grad.#and i knew the third girl became close friends with my best friend's sister and i knew we kept similar interests #im just sad and lonely. but i have a whole different thing going on with like. struggling to form relationships rn #they speak!

also me: going on a deep, passionate rant about the reason I hate her raving fans, but as a character she’s fascinating and really complex and fun and was disserviced by not only her frothing fans in the twi//tter fanbase, but also by people who just mindlessly hate her because of said thoughtless eggheads

#personal #(watching pushing daisies and in between episodes reading chapters of the raven cycle)#i wouldn’t say i’m a fan of this trope in particular (although it comes up in different forms remarkably often) rather specifically i like #the restraint it takes & i admire how both make a promise and keep it #i’ve seen semi-similar plots elsewhere (insofar as there are like ‘rules’ to follow in a similar vein)#and they often are sort of… broken by the love which is like. great for them but not the story i like #and whenever i express discontent at this kind of thing (or any kind of rule-breaking in fiction i deem similar enough) people often go out #of their way to ‘explain’ it to me like how they were able to break the rules #and like first of all it’s so presumptuous to assume i didn’t understand. like people can understand something and still not like it but i #digress. and second that’s awesome if that’s the story someone wants to tell #but personally i’m always very impressed by clever ways around rules that cannot be broken and actually stick to the consequences if they #are. just generally i love when products of restraint pay off #like ppl will explain it for romance in particular not all fiction. but i like such a process in all fiction #this was a huge digression from the original point which is me saying two nickels without saying two nickels

ginko 🤝 killy 🤝 the soldier from angel's egg 🤝 hopefully kim dokja: being outsiders/alone, even among any groups of people they join.

#i do not mean any of this in a tragic way no more than life itself can be tragic #it's a comfort to be alone. to be away from the eyes of others #all three of these characters (*idk fully about kdj so no spoilers pls for orv) exhibit these in different ways #ginko and killy have set duties (kdj has a plan and the duty others expect of him but he doesn't abide by those expectations just his own #plan) though ginko's is a mix of self chosen and bestowed by other mushishis (he's been involved in this since he was a kid and what else i #there really for him to do?) and killys purpose was coded into him by someone long forgotten but he still holds onto it tight #arguably most of nihei's protags are like this. zoichi is an outsider with a set purpose and same with denji. the difference is that they #have other people -- zoichi his sister and denji the twins. they're all alone but they're alone together #there's no one like killy and there won't ever be. there's no one like ginko. there's no one quite like kdj #(musubi also doesn't count because she went from someone heavily integrated in society to shoved out of it. ginko and killy don't remember #being with others. i think i did see a spoiler of kdj having memory issues? anyways he was ostracized at a young age so that counts more #than musubi)#and then there's the fates of these characters. killy will never rest. he doesn't know how *cue nihil strength*. ginko does rest but he #always moves again in the end. it's a cycle he's in.#idk what happens to kdj but what i really want to happen is for him to escape the story #that would be the ultimate form of rest. to die to sleep; to sleep perchance to dream.#though here it is not a literal death i wish for kdj. the death of the character he is. the death of him having to be in orv if that makes #sense. loathe to use the words but let him escape the narrative. let that be his death #the soldier is a late add on but he coutns too #he is very similar to killy first off #and i'll leave it there for now because i really gotta do work so i can rest #there are other characters i can argue (alexei karamazov is coming to mind for starters)#i really feel characters who are alone on account of the leaving.

So! The Teen Titans had been chasing down a Cult lately, and they had finally managed to track down their main bases location.

Unfortunately, they got there just a bit too late and the Summoning Ritual they had been preforming was finished. The Being they had been calling crawled up and out of the Circle drawn in Blood on the floor.

And Raven felt her heart Stop. Because that Being crawling it's way out of the Summoning Circle looked almost exactly like her Father's True Form. But also different.

Where her Father's hair was a White Flame, this one's hair looked like Freshly Fallen Snow. Instead of her Father's Blood Red Skin, this being had Icy Blue Skin. And most strikingly, In place of her Father's Piercing Red Eyes, this being had Lazarus Green Eyes.

But even with all those changes, she could still the similarities in the Bone Structure, the shape of the Jaw, and most importantly the Untold Power radiating off of them.

Before they could react, the Being turned its attention to the Cultists.

"Who Dares Summon, the Ghost King?"

"We do, Out Lord Pariah Dark! We Beseech Thee, take this unclean world and tear it down! Cleanse the World of its Filth!"

"Oh Goddammit, not again." Said the Being, "Look, Pariah hasn't been in Power for Centuries. I, am Phantom. And I don't do the whole 'Destroy all Worlds' thing, you want your own constellation? I'm your guy. Otherwise? Bite it."

"Bu-But my Lord! We summoned you to-"

"Yeah how about no." Said the unimpressed God, "Here, let me send you guys Home. I'll give you guys some riches or something as compensation, but that's it."

And with that, the God snapped its fingers and the cultists disappeared.

"Now, who are you kids?" He turned to them.

Robin stepped forward, "We are the Teen Titans, and originally we came to stop them from Summoning you. Now, I honestly don't know what to do..."

"Oh, you guys are Heroes! That's interesting, I don't come across worlds with Heroes very often." Said the Ghost King, "The last one was the one with those Revengers or whatever they called themselves. The Spider Totem was fun to talk to, and Thor is always..."

As Phantom mumbled to himself, Raven stepped up. "King Phantom, I have a Question. Why do you resemble the true form or Trigon so closely? As his Daughter, I can recognize your similarities easily, and I was curious."

The King stopped dead.

"...daughter?"

"Oh, yes. Trigon is my father, though obviously I haven't talked to him recently." She explained.

"...that asshole." He said, "How could he not tell me I had a NIECE!?"

Spending more time making hypothetical kits for some of these fuckers than I have on their actual backstories. Sorry Wickerbottom I'm sure you'll get your edgy backstory fleshed out at some point but hee hoo werebeast forms go brrrr

#rat rambles #her 3 werebeast forms are a werecat werebat and a wereghost #yes wereghost I said what I said #her gimic with that is that each of her forms are based off of different supernatural beings (witch vampire and well. ghost.)#he werecat form is very distructive and tosses different magic orbs around to fuck shit up #her werebat form is her combat form being able to either do quick bites for more damage or long bites for less but she gets a sippy #and her wereghost form can travel anywhere and puts a haunt effect on anything she passes over #the weremeter is fueled by distruction drinking blood and haunting things respectively #with her werebeast forms being more powerful she has less going on outside of those and also a negative damage modifier as a human #this is to account for two of them being quite capable of damaging things (albiet less reliably with the werecat) and her werebat form just #generally being much more effective at combat than the weremoose #same sanity drain effect in her werebeast forms but higher base sanity but also lower health as human #which is more relevant due to her items to willingly transform costing health to use #and she still has the food and sleep issues #oh and the werebat form is kind of wyvern like but she cant fly cause shes too heavy rip #I also imagine she has decreased sanity loss from mobs and such due to her experiences with mosters and beasts and such #similar with magical stuff thatd usually drain your sanity #Im not sure if shed also be able to eat monster meat to activate a random form or not since itd kind of clash against her food issues?#maybe it just like hurts her more or smth #Ive also been thinking abt role swap wurt kit and I think I might make her design based off treeguards?#but yeah her kit is less based off of being normal plants friends and more abt being monster plants friends #so like tree guards and fleshy bulbs #she can also grow evil flowers Im thinking #to balance all this out shell Only eat rot and manure and stuff like that #oh and also charcoal #basically stuff that is ready to return to the earth already #she eventually can make different types of compost from fresh food tho so thats a work around #all of it can be used on herself but some of it is more so made for other things #such as growing a tree up into a loyal tree guard or pacifying already existing tree guards (given you arent the reason they spawned)#oh and pacifying fleshy bulbs
