What are Amaelia’s favorite movies tho?

Ok I hope I’m not forgetting anything!! I’m pretty sure I’m gonna think of more movies but these are the ones that came to mind:

Ok I just gotta add that, as we’ve established Modern!Aemond as a cinephile™️ he was probably like: “MY daughter will be introduced to CINEMA from a young age! She’s gonna have TASTE.”

And then fast forward to when Amaelia is already 2 years old and he knows the dialogue of ‘The Swan Princess’ by heart because it’s all she watches during a period of her life lmao. By now his movie shelf filled with AUTEURS™️ is starting to get filled up with princess movies. He’s not even mad though.

Peter Pan is a favorite (the animated one and the live action one from 2003). She loves to see the pirates and mermaids and the dog! And she loves Wendy because of her love for telling adventure stories. But she’s a massive fan of pirates in general.

On that note about liking pirates, she loves Treasure Planet. It’s pirates in space™️ but also loves the Muppet Treasure Island with Tim Curry.

QUEST FOR CAMELOT! Need I explain this one? It has dragons and knights, it’s the perfect movie in her book. She loves anything with dragons and knights (dad’s influence).

Also because of knights and wizards, she loves disney’s The Sword In The Stone.

Going to self-indulge for a hot sec here and add The Black Cauldron because it’s a spooky one. Reader, seeing how much Amaelia enjoys knights and princesses, suggested this one. You were afraid she was gonna get scared but she ended up loving it.

Extra self-indulgence: reader also suggests to her ‘The Road to El Dorado’ because of all the adventure but also because of the big inspiration from Mayan cultures. Triple self-indulgence: reader and Amaelia sing the songs together every time they watch it.

Aemond really wanted Amaelia to enjoy these because they were his childhood faves, and he’s so thrilled when she does: 101 Dalmatians and Lady and The Tramp. Because, dogs! She lives in a household with two loving doggies, so of course these are amongst faves. She also loves the 101 & 102 Dalmatians movies with Glenn Close.

She has a love/hate relationship with The Land Before Time because she LOVES the dinosaurs in it but HATES the scene where Littlefoot loses his mom 😭 — she just cannot watch that. She’ll burst into tears every time and she has to be cuddled and kissed by her mom all day afterwards.

For this same reason, she can’t watch Finding Nemo, because she cries when Nemo gets separated from his dad.

I feel like she loves/is exposed to many old-school animated movies because her parents show her movies that they liked when they were kids and that want to share with her. And also, I’ve said before that Aemond loves analog media and he has a working VCR still. He must have gone to Alicent to scout for all the VHS tapes from his childhood to play Amaelia.

- so let’s begin the silver era. My 3rd favorite era. Sleeping beauty and Peter Pan are my personal faves but its just iconic disney magic all over

- i gotta admit…. Cinderella is my least favorite princess 😭 and little me decided this long before even watching this movie. Bare with me and my stupid bias against her. I actually really like her in the movie. My bias actually comes from the fact that SHE WAS THE FRONT AND CENTER OF EVERY DISNEY PRINCESS MERCHANDIZE I OWNED AS A KID 😭 I know its so stupid but little me really made cinderella to be this Regina George mean girl that likes to take the spotlight. In my mind she was a queen b, while Snow White was the Gretchen and aurora was like cady in the beginning of the movie (aurora was my fave disney princess at the time), (I hadn’t even watched mean girls as a kind I’m just using the characters cause they fit the personas i had for the princesses). And the fact that the only cinderella movie i owned was the 2nd one made me even angrier at her cause i thought she didnt have her 1st movie yet so why was she the popular girl 😭 I’m sorry Cindy, i love you in the movies but i cant shake that old bias, you’re still last place

- and speaking of that, i was really confused why i had cinderella 2 in vhs but now the 1st. I asked my mom and she said “its not out yet” 🙂 she could have been more specific and had told me they were waiting to release it on dvd (like we ended up buying) or that my parents never ended up buying the vhs cause they couldn’t find it or whatever but no. Had me thinking disney really made the 2nd and not yet the 1st. I still knew the story cause i had many MANY illustrated fairytale books both disney and nondisney with all the stories but i probably thought they were gonna make the movie based on the disney picture books or something (all this also happened with lion king 💀). I might seem like i only got the dvd when i was already grown but i was probably still in kindergarten so it was still part of my childhood. I dont even know why my brain still has this before and after the dvd time period so defined cause really i was still a kid when i got it

- early disney princesses get slammed a lot for not being “””””strong female characters””””” but that is ancient bullshit. you both started to run out of energy.

when did you get into it? well [the stage goes dark, a spotlight centers on me, fog forms around my ankles] it all started on a calm spring evening, april 12th, 2017.... okay lmao i’m not gonna do that the whole time. but yeah so i loved the 1991 cartoon version a lot! it had always been one of my fave disney films as a kid, it was one of ones we had on vhs so it was a frequent flyer in on the big boxy dinosaur tv! but then, when me and my parents were touring my future university (i was a junior in high school at the time) we decided to catch a movie! i couldn’t tell you what else was playing that night, but live action batb was the only one that jumped out at me. it’s funny cuz it had been out for nearly a month, i really didn’t make any effort to go see it. i was like “ah, disney makes live actions all the time. who cares.” LITTLE DID I KNOW. but anyway, we went to see it and.... gosh i was enchanted. even that first night, it was like a switch turned on in me that i didn’t even know existed!

what were your first impressions? goodnesssss. it’s interesting because i hadn’t seen batb 1991 in YEARS, but as i watched the live action it was all coming back, i was comparing everything. which is funny too because, the comparison is what turned a lot of people AWAY from batb 2017. now, i could make a whole powerpoint comparing them, but i have no shade!!! if you like 1991 better, go off!!!! just don’t hate on one or the other :/ hate is lame! there’s a lot of love in the world and there’s, my goodness, CERTAINLY enough love for two film versions of a disney princess movie. goodness gracious. anyway, let me hop off my soap box!!!!!

i remember thinking it was DOPE that they made belle the inventor, and that they made maurice an artist. i remember loving the new songs, eSPECIALLY evermore. like wow. i was so happy they gave beast his own song. i remember being so entirely delighted by how extravagant be our guest gets. like lumiere!! you dramatic boy!!!!! it just kept going i was so dazzled and amazed and happy. i can remember how big the smile on my face was during that whole number. i remember how INCREDIBLY swept away i was when there was the whole “what do you say we run away?” scene and the enchanted book and going to paris!!!!!!! still to this day, every time i see the scene where it goes from belle’s hand on the book pages and pans up to the starry sky, i feel that joyful peter pan magic. and that’s what i thought the first time too. i LOVED all the added backstory for belle and beast. absolutely stunning. even at the beginning! they open it right away, really take you to the scene of the crime, in a sense. you see young, spoiled prince adam. his nasty, pompous behavior and all. it made him so much more real. i remember just overall being so thrilled with how much longer it was. it gave belle and beast so much more time to fall in love, it made the culminating end way more genuine. and of course i loved all the little jokes and their quirky little personalities shining through. and i also remember being so punched in the gut by the last petal falling and actually seeing everyone turn into inanimate objects. i was like *sobbing* HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME. but, even today, it makes the turn around of the curse lifting way more relieving and joy-filling. and don’t even get me started on The Kiss. the silent amazement between them. i can’t. surely, you get the point. i was in the car ride back to the hotel just utterly astounded, i couldn’t stop thinking about it. i’d never seen such beauty.

when did you Know it was a big fave for you? pretty soon!! i saw it a second time in theaters and i regret to this day not going a third time. but that’s life. i couldn’t pin point when it became my number one, but i’m sure it was that summer when it went on netflix and i had unlimited access and was deadass watching it most every night. that’s an exaggeration but is it though? anyway yeah it was love at first sight so it didn’t take long to reach my favorite movie spot at all.

how many times have you seen it? UHHHHHH okay so, that was something of an exaggeration, to a degree. i was counting how many times i was watching it but i stopped at ten. i honestly wish i had continued counting. do you know how cool it would be to do my 100th watch?? i’d have a whole party. my dad and i tried to do the vague guesstimate math once, and we figured something around 60 times. i don’t know how accurate that is but it sure feels like i’ve seen it 6,000 times. at this point i watch it every few months but... summer of 2017..... yikes lmao.

what’s your favorite thing about it!!! the film itself? is that an option? the entire. gosh dang,,, thing? lol but idk i think what i love most is adam’s growth, probably. i mean. it is. you can’t write an 18k pre-canon fic highlighting adam’s troubled past and then go on to write who knows how many thousand words of fic of post-canon adam just being so gosh dang happy and happier than he’s ever been without his growth and arc being your favorite part. so :”) yeah. adam deserves the whole entire world and he’s got such a big heart, he just never knew how to use it, never thought he had it in there. he’s been kicked around and torn apart and Literally Turned Into A Monster, but he still grows and learns to love and learns that maybe life can be okay for him. but also i love belle so much too. her courage, her adventurous spirit, her no-thoughts-head-empty griffindor attitude about everything. like who just sees a giant castle and is like “cool, allow me.” it’s in the genes, cuz maurice does it too shdkdksk. anyway i just love belle so much, she’s so smart and clever and sweet and KIND and she has so much compassion in her heart. so much love when she’s literally been seen as a social outcast like probably her whole life. and yet? the kindest. but also so funny and sarcastic and GAH!!! i love my girl!!!!!! and the uniting of my two favorite characters in the whole world.... it just floors me every single time.

why the heck do you love it!!!!! oh my gosh literally how to answer this. i think at this point in the essay it’s pretty clear all my passionate opinions about it LMAO. the way i usually explain it to like, my dad, for example (i’ve brought him up twice now, he’s just always been a good ear for my fangirl interests. let’s me go off about anything haha.) anyway, the way i explain it is that it just checks off all the boxes. and i don’t even know what all the boxes are, but it’s everything. i think i’ve always loved beauty and the beast (even as a kid) because it flips the damsel in distress narrative. SHE has to save HIM. and of course, that’s been done countless times. but idk, for a disney princess, for my little kid mind, belle was special and this story was different. but more specifically to batb 2017, the aesthetic just slays me. the wardrobe is exquisite. the characters are so lovely and funny and wonderful. the songs, the NEW songs!!! the DANCE!!! THE CASTING. i love the cast so much. there’s so much gosh dang heat about emma watson as belle especially and it’s like i will fight all of you in the streets come to my house my address is— okay anyway. i think the casting was absolutely 15/10 phenomenal everyone from josh gad and luke evans to audra mcdonald and stanley tucci and literally everyone in between. DAN STEVENS HAD TO DO EVERYTHING TWICE. ONCE IN THE SUIT THE BIG CGI SUIT AND ONCE MORE WITH HIS FACE TO GET BEAST’S EXPRESSIONS JUST RIGHT. the dedication. i’ll fight everyone. he did a ballroom dance in a big suit on stilts. i just. okay so yeah i love the cast and i love THE LOVE STORY OBVIOUSLY. Ohhh gotta think of this one...I deifnitely have two that came to mind.

Once was a few years back for Xmas my parents asked me what I wanted and I honestly didn’t know what to ask for. To be honest, I just love the spirit of Christmas and don’t really care for the gift giving part. I’m the type of person who likes to give presents instead of recieve, I just feel too guilty getting presents 😂😂

Anyways, my dad knew how much I loved playing the violin (I’ve been playing since 4th grade) and he got me this killer electric violin that looks just so cool (my fav violin I’ve ever owned!)

Second gift was in my junior year of high school my school was hosting a Halloween Festival and was enlisting girls to dress up as Disney Princesses to play with the little kids. Of course my chaotic ass who loves children more than myself begged to do it, and I wanted Elena of Avalor since I’m Hispanic and Jasmine was already taken. My grandma legit made me a Disneyland quality dress (she makes Princess dresses on Etsy for little kids) for me and my little sister. I’ll never forget how excited these little girls got when they saw me as Elena of Avalor-that night made me realize how much I loved costumes (well-cosplay I guess 😂) and how I wanted to make people happy by dressing up as their fave characters!

Sora knows how to dance, but he’s not good following instructions and copying moves so suddenly - which is basically everything that you gotta do in Just Dance. You should p r o b a b l y make sure that the Wii strap is properly tied, cause Sora’s the type to Y E E T that shit across time and space by accident, maybe break a window or two. Or accidentally hurt himself or smack you at some point. Listen, maybe just give him some time to get familiar with the remote before playing at the same time.

I hope you have high stamina, cause Sora would choose the more energetic songs (like those fuckin gymnastic versions of the popular songs) ! Get ready to j u m p and twirl around, giggling like idiots all the time. Please for the love of god, don’t let him find out about the memes - cause he’d force you to play I’m Blue Da Ba Dee, Despacito or Dame tu Cosita. Maybe even beg to record some funny parts just to show Kairi and Riku.

At the end of the day, the two of you would be laughing your asses off on the floor, sweating and panting because Sora convinced you to try to play every song in one sitting - but of course that’s pretty much impossible for a couple of n e r d s, so you guys gave up after 9 songs or so. That’s still impressive, though. I can see him organizing friendly tournaments with you and the rest of your friends just for fun ! 

Vanitas :

Once again, this sourpuss would most likely be hesitant to play, saying that the game seems pretty stupid, acting all superior and condescending at first. But as soon as he gets a hold of the remote, you can see the f i r e in his eyes. Vanitas might not be a fan of dancing in general (or haVING FUN, PSH) but he sure is a fan of w i n n i n g - and that’s exactly what he’s planning to do today. Date ? Sorry, don’t know her. He only knows one-sided c o m p e t i t i o n s.

It’s actually pretty cute to see him so concentrated and focused to beat you at this game. Specially cause you put the hardest songs first just to fuck with him and tone down that temper, h o h o h o h - yeah it doesn’t really end up well for you either. The p l a n backfires and the two of you are out of breath by the third song ! Vanitas is insisting on continuing while you just laugh at him and convince him to take it easy.

He’d love songs like Walk This Way or Bang Bang Bang. Vanitas is the type of dude bro who always has to pick the male dancer in whatever song you two play cause his f r a g i l e masculinity won’t allow anything else. However you can tell that he’s dying to try other songs like DDu-Du-DDu-Du or Built For This, anything with that p o w e r f u l vibe to them. After this date, Vanitas wouldn’t be as opposed as before to have another round of Just Dance with you.

You half expected Ventus to refuse, but he was actually pretty enthusiastic to play with you ! He’d lowkey brag about being a master at the game - however not too long after starting, you’d realize that Ventus is that one type of Just Dance player who can dance 6 specific songs while blindfolded. Because that’s literally all the songs he plays. Once you take him out of his comfort zone, he’d be pretty much at l o s s.

Like he’s really good at Another One Bites The Dust, Beauty and the Beast and Cheap Thrills - he’ll even wink or blow a kiss towards you for that d r a m a t i c effect, but that’s about it. You gotta help him e x p a n d his repertoire. It’s like he legit didn’t knew he could play other stuff, he’d gasp in surprise whenever you guys passed popular songs or ones that he recognized. W e l c o m e to the real world of Just Dance, Ventus.

Okay, he can dance and he’s having the time of his life trying out new songs with you. But if you choose one of the more s e x y and spicy dances like Maneater or Ain’t My Fault, Ventus would most likely scream internally and hide his blushing face into the couch or something. Roxas :

Roxas has the p o t e n t i a l - like he’s a good DDR player, has the reflexes, the speed, the b a l a n c e and everything needed to properly play Just Dance ! Sadly it’s like seeing a newborn duck waddling after it’s mother. You know when a friend dares you to twerk or do some other memey shit, and you half-ass it instead of owning it because the embarrassment holds you back ? That’s Roxas with Just Dance. He doesn’t have stage fright, he just doesn’t want to make a fool out of himself in front of you.

Even so, he’s willing to give it a try cause he just can’t say no to you. At first he’d beg you to pick easy songs so he can keep up and not d i e, but you can see him gradually getting excited upon finding some familiar songs in the list. His favorites would be Cake by the Ocean, Die Young and Good Feeling (I just realized the first two songs somehow make sense with the 358/2 plot and i’m so sad now, someone hold me) but he also likes duet songs, trying the super extra moves, picking and twirling you around as if you two were professional dancers. 

Xion :

This wholesome baby would love to play, she’s always excited to spend some q u a l i t y fun times with you ! Xion can adapt to any situation and Just Dance is no different - she’ll get the hang of the game after a couple of songs. Unlike Roxas and Sora, she has enough braincells to follow the dancers on screen with ease, no biggie. (like come on guys, step u p your games smh) 

At first, she’ll obviously be sort of clumsy - but you have to admit that seeing her stick her tongue out, focusing at the screen with the most determined look on her face while going “Whoops!” or “Gah, wrong way!”  when she misses a move it’s the cutest and most adorable thing you’ve seen. Xion is so eager to play and p e r f e c t i o n a t e her skills, you just want to smooch and squish her cheeks - but you don’t have the heart to interrupt her.

Her favorite songs would be Oishii Oishii, Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You, Crucified and No Control. Or just any cute and upbeat song ! Once she’s gotten comfortable with the controls and everythimg, Xion would get k i n d a cheeky and maybe give you a light hip bumb to throw you off. You’d reliatate back and forth until the two of you end up tangled on the floor in a t i c k l i n g fight. 

Kairi :

Kairi is that type of person who makes absolutely everything seem efortless. You look at her doing her own thing and it’s like “it can’t be that hard if she didn’t even break a sweat!”. She’s a natural at Just Dance, as well as a big fan so of course she’d love to play with you ! Usually, being outclassed makes people m a d but Kairi is so nice and tries to make everything fun for everyone that you just c a n t hate her for being an absolute icon.

She’s obviously partial to cute songs like Birthday, Popipo or any Disney princess song (how Far I’ll go is her absolute fave) but since you two are playing together, she’d insist on duets. You two are here for a fun time, not a competition so Kairi would try to sneakily tickle you or distract you because she thinks it’s cute, how much you lowkey wanna beat her scores. Probably sits down at some point, only moving the remote with one hand just to playfully tease you.

I actually did make a post about the development of their physical relationship here, and how it helps them learn to communicate with each other.

Mavis has a huge punishment kink. Her favorite is being caught in the middle of a naughty deed and being forcibly punished for it, being scolded all the while. But scolded in a way that’s still sort of complimenting her on what a slick prankster she is. Things like, “Finally, I got my hands on you. Wait ‘til everyone hears how I finally put the arcade’s biggest problem in her place.” Just as an example. But she never submits immediately – she’s a really bratty sub that likes egging her partner on so she’ll get punished even more.

Along with that, she’s a real big masochist. Mavis loves almost anything that makes her feel a rush, and pain’s a big one. She loves Turbo’s sharp teeth and how bitey he is. She loves being choked, slapped, scratched, having her hair pulled, being tied up too tight, etc. It’s very rare that she comes out of an encounter without at least a few marks.

Turbo, for the most part, loves being in control. He loves having his ego stroked even more than his dick. Winning a struggle for dominance is a big one, so it’s good that Mavis isn’t a pillow princess and fights back. He loves being worshiped in any way – really let it show how much you love touching him. Begging and praise are huge turn-ons, and there’s nothing he loves more than reducing Mavis to the point where she’s mad with desire.

Turbo loves dominant sorta roleplay shit but not the usual "daddy" or "master" kink. He likes being treated like royalty, being called things like "your majesty/grace/highness/flattering word" or "my king/lord", and showered with so much praise, affection, and adoration that it borders on worship. Mav's role in that scenario is the unruly court jester, a snarky playful little shit that's still ultimately there to entertain the king. (Hilarious if you think of Pyrite later) 

That being said, though, very occasionally, Turbo’s been known to enjoy being dominated. People constantly in control or with a lot of power tend to like playing into the fantasy of a power shift in the bedroom. It’s a safe, rewarding way to experience losing, which is otherwise so taboo for him. That’s not to say he’s 100% submissive either, he’s less of a bratty sub and more of a straight up spiteful sub. Glares, insults, growling, nipping at fingers. He hates how much he loves it.

With that, the things he tends to “enjoy” the most are being tied up, being degraded, being leashed and commanded. He’s not as much of a masochist as Mavis but he still enjoys some biting, hair-pulling, and a bit of choking. As a sub he often takes on the role of a wild, ill-tempered animal that needs to be broken into an obedient pet. That involves a nice mix of teasing, praise, punishment, and humiliation while still encouraging him to push back and refuse to fully submit. Quite often, those scenarios end with him either being freed or breaking out of his restraints and going wild on Mavis, overpowering her and paying her back for all the rough treatment. Resistance and scolding on her end is all part of the scene, but before long, she’s always pulling hard on the leash and urging him on, praising him for being such a good demon boy. He earned his reward.  

I’d like to think that they own a strap on (it’s Mavis’ dildo), but straight-up pegging is not something Turbo’s down with. That level of submission is just a smidge too far for him. Which is fine. But Mavis still likes to make him suck her strap-on dick, especially if he’s tied up and she can knot a fist in his hair and force his head down onto it or fuck his mouth. Turbo’s straight, but he’s pretty secure in that fact (and homophobia kind of isn’t a thing in my arcade ‘verse). He’s sucking a dick, but it’s a girl’s dick, so he’s still into it. I’ve been asked enough times to remark upon it what Turbo’s dick is like. I hadn’t thought of it too much bc for me, dicks aren’t all that exciting appearance-wise lmao. But it’s inevitable if I’m going to talk nsfw about him. So my answer is…. length-wise, it’s pretty average, but it’s a little bit on the thicker side. I believed I described it as, it’s just nice enough that you might see it and be like, “Goddamn it, such a fuckin’ douche canoe doesn’t deserve a dick that nice.” It’s not all that vascular, it’s grey, and it gets darker towards the head. (I know I’m gonna have to draw it eventually. I draw nice dicks so be ready)

This isn’t relevant to the shitgoblins really but I think that the Twins have similar dicks to Turbo’s since they’re all brothers, but theirs are on the longer side rather than the thicker side. Mavis has seen them, and she just laughed, to the Twins’ displeasure.

No one’s asked me what Mav’s vulva looks like (and thank god actually thats a weird question but at the same time why not???? vulvas are nice) but I guess all I can say about it is… it’s cute? To match her “cute Disney-faced young woman” aesthetic. I have to imagine that if Disney studios ever did porn animations they would draw really idealized labia. ALL VULVAS WOULD LOOK THE SAME. Here’s a fun one. I mentioned that Mav is a masochist. I think she takes that to an extreme in her game. Okay, I haven’t written a personal post in a while because I’ve been focused on schoolwork. Right now I’m super busy with a project where I have to read and evaluate lots of research articles. :( At least my academic writing is improving. 

Ugh, I accidentally deleted my extensive review of Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. It was a really good book and I finished that page turner months ago. It’s easy to see why it has numerous adaptations and has influenced countless media in the Anglosphere alone. Perhaps even Heathers and Saw, what with the Erik’s plan to explode the opera house and the rosy hours of Mazenderan. 

Sadly, the rest of Leroux’s bibliography seems to only be well known in French-speaking places. When I get around to getting a passport and go to Quebec I might duck into a library real quick. Even though she’s my fave mystery writer, I gotta read more detective fiction other than Agatha Christie. 

For something rated PG, The Dark Crystal sure is dark. Not as bad The Adventures of Mark Twain being G-rated, though. I prefer its spiritual successor, Labyrinth. If I’d seen Labyrinth as a child that would have become one of my favorite movies, up there with Alice in Wonderland 1951 and The Wizard of Oz. Audiences need less CGI, more puppetry and animatronics! 

I kind of want a Skeksis. (And maybe a Fizzgig, too.) Buzzards get a bad rap. We get flocks of turkey vultures and they’re kind of cute despite the smelliness. Let them scavenge! From now on, whenever I want the last slice of pizza or something: “TRIAL BY STONE!” 

“Watch your tongue, harridan, we are lords of the Crystal.” Next time I roleplay I’m going to try to get the bae to say something like that to me. 

When Aughra sat down in front of the Skeksis table, I honestly thought she was going to go to the bathroom. XD She and Kira were my favorite characters, though. Are wings like the Gelfling equivalent of b00bs?

The God Emperor of Dune was kind of a let down. And I couldn’t get into Heretics at all. When I was in middle school I checked out one of those but I can’t remember which then years later I read both Dune and Dune Messiah twice. I’m not sure if “get” Dune now but they were definitely too advanced for young teen Tawney.  

Ever since I found out The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy parodied this franchise, I wanted to read Dune. “Mandy the Merciless” and the gom jabbar from “My Fair Mandy” are so much funnier now.

1,000+-year-old Leto’s slow transformation into a giant sandworm monster was something I was expecting to be hot but it was eh. Obviously, Frank Herbert didn’t intend for it to be bodacious. However, there are certain charming aspects to the Tyrant. 

“Do not search for parts of me which no longer exist. Some forms of physical intimacy are no longer possible for me.” (But can Leto Atreides still perform cun/nilngus?)

“Everything about her reaffirmed his awareness that she was precisely the kind of woman who, if he had grown to normal manhood, he would have wanted (No! Demanded!) as his mate.” (Kind of jealous of Hwi, TBH.)

One of my friends came over and got introduced to A Nightmare on Elm Street. The first time I watched that movie, I hadn’t really watched any other slashers. Now I can say Nancy is one of my fave final girls.

The first shot of A Clockwork Orange had me hooked. I loved the sets so much. The book was on my to read list and then the kid who sat next to me in Latin showed me why he was having trouble reading it. That futuristic slang. After watching the film, its source is back on the list. At least everyone talks normally once Alex goes to prison. 

I like when fictional gangs wear “go to hell” clothes but those were douchesuits Alex and his buddies were wearing. I’m glad he got whacked in the balls. Even if it was by the creepy Mr. Deltoid. Well, he’s -nowhere- near as bad as the protagonist. Alex is an interesting character because he’s amusing but possesses zero likability. And you don’t even feel sorry for him. There was something really satisfying about seeing him bl00dy on the ground. How the hell did he convince those two girls at the record store to go back with him for speed s3x?

Sleeping Beauty was rewatched for the first time since I was very young. It was one of my favorite Disney movies but Aurora wasn’t my favorite princess. That honor went to Ariel. Now I’d say Tiana and Belle are my faves because they get stuff done. I want Disney to go back to cartoon fairy tales sooo bad. Aurora’s sweet and likable but her godmothers are more interesting. I want Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather merch now. Also, was that the broom from Fantasia? 

Maleficent and her minions apparently don’t meet up with her often enough to properly confer information. XD She’s into b0ndage and I ship her with Phillip now. Somehow the fact the prince was a total babe went over my head. He was kind of handsy with Briar Rose during their first meeting, though. 

Lifechanger couldn’t really hold my attention, which is a shame because I love shapeshifting so much. I expected the MC to possess his victims but it’s okay he didn’t. But the absorption could have been more unsettling, they could have shown more of it.

So I’m going to pick mythical places to go which are for sure: Hogwarts (because it’s a school that’s a castle, how is that NOT 100% fab), Narnia (i’d be able to give them such good fashion tips especially for the snow), and Atlantis (who DOESNT want to see mermaids?!) My very favorite Disney princess would have to be Mulan. I've just thought she was beautiful and strong and clever, and all of my life I wanted to be like her. I guess I just really understand the not really belonging thing, but I just love her so much.

2. Would definitely have to be Rapunzel. Like you said, she's just a lot of fun, and she was also the first 3D animated Disney princess (and the best, currently, IMO), so she's a big deal overall.

3. Is Tiana. I liked that she was a hard worker with a dream, and, again, I really liked the Louisiana representation.

4. Jasmine. I really relate to her character a lot, and I think she's awesome.

5. Belle. I really identify with Belle a lot. She's sweet and does her best to see the good in people, while being a bookworm who doesn't quite fit in.

Princesses but I really like them:

Megara, as said earlier, is a total mood. She's really sassy.

Esmeralda, I really liked her character and how she looked out for other people and fought for them, even when she was looking at tremendous hardship because of it.

Princess/Queen Kida. I honestly don't understand why she's not an official princess. I mean, it's not like with Nala or Giselle* where it'd be hard to cast someone to play her at Disneyworld.

How about non-princess Disney movies ranked?

(Disney is also a bit of a hyperfixation for me...or, rather, part of it. I'm obsessed with animation in general (all kinds, not just traditional or CG, but also claymation and Jim Henson Puppetry). They're just so fun, and the history behind all of it is fascinating)

Quite honestly, I'm just enjoying the chance to geek out and talk to somebody about this stuff, and it's always super cool to see someone else's opinions and what they like about it, you know?

As for non princess movies...if we're counting Pixar here my absolutely FAVORITE (and all time top movie) is Soul. Advertising did it SOOOOOO dirty but holy fuck it was fantastic. Black led with very few white characters which like. Yeah white characters are fine but it's AMAZING to see a deviation of the norm of all white cast with one or two poc (and honestly the joke about the white barber? Got one of the top biggest laughs from me of all time). It has SUCH a good message that I fell can speak to ANYONE, especially in the modern day.

Next would be Alice in Wonderland. I've always loved the weird aesthetic of it and the live action movies are one of the few gritty reboots of something that actually WORK and work WELL. I ALWAYS visit alice when I go to Disney parks and go to the restaurant where you can meet her and the mad hatter at breakfast.

Third would be the toy story movies, with 2 being my fave (though I STILL have not seen 4. God.) They're so charming and fun and cute. The characters are all wonderful. The attractions at Disney world are so fun (coming from a competitive family, midway mania is our JAM. The buzz lightyear one not so much bc I'm the only one that actually understands it so everyone but me hates it lol)

Fourth would be emperor's new groove. Shout out to kuzco gotta be one of my favorite genders. (wait I made that joke already). The humor is ON POINT. I cannot believe I forgot yzma in the villain convo bc she's FANTASTIC. Kronks new groove and the animated series are so on point too. Favorite episode of the series was when they called out their own repeatitive nature (even though the show made the formula work well, its hilarious) They're fantastic and HILARIOUS but also hello?? Found family???

Fifth would probably be inside out. As someone sturggling with mental illness/a mood disorder in particular it just??? Speaks to me?? Also Riley gives me SUCH big nb vibes. I think it's a great movie for people who may have any form of emotional trouble. Just...I put a lot of Pixar on here but pixar always does such a fantastic job
