Scorpia is such a sweetheart, and that definitely shows in how physically affectionate she is 

She loves scooping you up into great big hugs, though she's always very careful not to accidentally hurt you with her pinchers 

It can be difficult for her to restrain herself whenever she sees you as all she wants to do is pick you up and twirl you around, but she also knows she's a lot stronger than she looks, and you also might not be in the mood 

She's touchy, but respectful 

Always asks before hugging or kissing you, because she would never want you to feel pressured and/or uncomfortable 

Speaking of kisses, the ones she gives are the best! 

She's the kind of lover to pepper soft kisses all over your face when you're waking up, when you're sad, when you're happy, just about anytime really

Entrapta can lift herself by her hair… Entrapta can LIFT HERSELF BY HER HAIR…

Can you imagine how much muscle and power she needs to do that? By the way she’s shown to not only hold herself by it but also to tuck her legs in(up?) while doing it, and let me tell you it’s not easy thing to do, and she does it for long periods of time, so doing things like this:

Take a lot of physical strength. If you look closely you can see that Hordak is not holding her in a way that would let her lift her legs like that by leaning on him, so she does that entirely on her own!

And also this moment from “Huntara”

Entrapta slammed him to that cloning tank and held him there. In my mind the kind of character that would physically be able to do something like that to Hordak is someone like Huntara, Scorpia or She-Ra because they are closer in hight and physique to him, but Entrapta does that effortlessly without even using her hair, yes, sure, the fact that he’s not resisting also there but a closet(a big heavy full with boots closet with wheels) won’t resist either yet it takes most people a second pair of hands to move it.

So my question is, how strong physically Entrapta actually is? And why? Does she work out?

Glimmer and Catra LOVE Shark Week. Make special cocktails and snacks for it, host watch parties, cheer every seal that meets a bloody end.

Adora is also into it but needs to make sure everyone assembled knows "she could take that one" whenever a new shark comes on screen.

Frosta loudly disagrees each time that Adora could take that shark, but SHE totally could.

Mermista comes over to watch it too, but is pretty jaded about it because she knows half those guys and they're a bunch of sellouts, really let the whole Shark Week stardom go to their heads.

Entrapta takes notes the whole time and then goes through a week long phase where every robot she builds has way too many teeth.

Scorpia gives a running commentary of "Wow!" and "Gosh!" the whole time, giving Entrapta a play by play she does not need, while putting a dent in the veggie platter Netossa and Spinnerella brought that no one else is touching (because she feels bad and Perfuma has installed in her a healthy respect for greenery).

Bow can't handle Shark Week. At all. It's much too stressful. He's worried about the sharks. He's worried about the divers. He's worried about the seals. He's worried about how blood thirsty all his friends are and how much is in those cocktails.

Instead he, Perfuma, Wrong Hordak and Sea Hawk go out. Perfuma because she doesn't enjoy watching violence she can't participate in. Sea Hawk because he used to date a shark and it brings back too many awkward memories. Wrong Hordak because he just likes to be included. They go get smoothies and watch a ballet or something culturally stimulating.

Hordak, to this day, still has no idea what a shark even is and intends to keep it that way.

yes this is a funny bit but also I love that they're showing farmland.

One of my continual gripes with the entire fantasy genre is how often they don't show anyone farming. Especially in pseudo-medieval fantasy worlds, the vast majority of the population would be spending their lives as farmers, but also PEOPLE HAVE TO EAT. Where is the farmland. Where. Where is it.

(I loved the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings movies but it always bugged me that the ONLY farmland we EVER saw was in the fucking Shire. What is everyone else EATING.)

Do you have any atla in the shera headcanons (preferably Azutara related but go wild)

Hi, Anon! Thanks for the ask!! I’ll try to answer as best I can. Also I do have a lot of She Ra AU incorrect quotes that are mostly centered around Azutara just so you know.

My primary headcanon would be that Azula is Catra and Katara is Adora. Then everything else is kinda centered around that.

- Katara grew up in the Fire Nation because they stole her from the South Pole. She and Azula get along well from the get go.

- Katara leaves when she finds out the Avatar is back and her brother is with him which breaks Azula’s heart.

- Sokka, Katara and Aang travel but this time with Azula (who of course gets Mai and Ty Lee’s help) and Zuko chasing them. Mai seems like an Entrapta to me, Ty Lee would be Scorpia and Zuko would be Hordak.

- The Crossroads of Destiny is the Portal. Azula makes one final attempt to get Katara back but when she kills Aang, Katara gives her the ‘you’re dead to me’ look.

- It isn’t till the Boiling Rock, when Azula saves Zuko, Sokka, Hakoda, Suki and Chit Sang that she tells Zuko to apologize to Katara for her because she gets captured.

- Of course, Katara wants to go back for her which leads her and Zuko to going to the Capital instead of the Southern Raiders. I don’t think there would be really much mind control but there can be. Azula joins the Gaang.

- Azula and Katara go to the Capital in the finale battle where Azula confesses after Katara is hit dead center by a fireball.

my favorite movie of all time is Dead Poet's Society, and I don't think I could choose a favorite show of all time because shows are my absolute favorite, but my top are She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Avatar: The Last Airbender, 911: Lone Star, Station 19, Glee, Supernatural, and Shadowhunters!

How do you think each of the characters would relate to their queer identity?

this is such an interesting question because it's hard to know if queerphobia even exists in that universe, because it's so normalized there and most of the characters are queer, so for them, queerness has never been the "other", but i think that if they were to be exposed to this world and learn about queerphobia here, i think it would be most shocking to Netossa and Spinnerella because they're married so to realize that their marriage wouldn't be condoned here would be very shocking.

I think Adora would be very proud because she's never had "parents". Her entire life has been constructed around the concept of found family, so queerness in that context here would be nothing new to her and would give her an opportunity to connect with her friends even more! I think Catra would be proud, but secretly insecure, but also defiant, because she hides her insecurity behind so many layers of deflection it's hard to tell how she truly feels sometimes.

and Scorpia would definitely be the mom-friend. She would find out that queerness was "bad" here, and immediately start adopting queer kids off the streets and giving them a place to stay because her whole thing is that she is a good friend, and she would wear one of those shirts that's like "free hugs". scorpia would DOMINATE pride parades.

as for Double Trouble, they would 150% be the life of the party at any queer-themed parties. and they would be proud as hell. they know who they are without a shadow of a doubt and they would demolish anyone who tried to make them feel like shit about it lol. i think the only one who would be really insecure about it is kyle, because well.... he's kyle lol

those are the only canonly queer major/major-ish characters, but in terms of my (very correct /lh) headcanons, Bow and Glimmer would be the queerest "straight" couple ever. and since i'm convinced they're in a qpr, they would probably start demolishing relationship hierarchies like. immediately. and since all the good pirates are queer, seahawk would take a modern approach to his...... passion....... and burn every billionaire's yacht

What is each character's ideal setting?

Adora's is just like. Anywhere she could have a sleepover with her friends because she's just so soft lol

Catra's ideal setting is....... wherever Adora is because she's so wrapped around her finger

Glimmer's ideal setting is therapy because this girl needs to process her trauma (bonus if Catra is there too)

Bow's ideal setting is a peaceful meadow. Perfuma's too.

Mermista's ideal setting is sleeping because she's cool like that.

Scorpia's ideal setting is a pride parade giving free big hugs to kids whose parents don't accept them

Frosta's ideal setting is a lazer beam arcade because that girl has some huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge energy

Mara's ideal setting is the end scene in the finale because she would get to see that her bravery and sacrifice was worth it so maybe she could finally have some peace

The 12 days of fluffmas, day 8 - making ornaments with Scorpia

Pairing: Scorpia x gender neutral reader (can be read as either platonic or romantic)

Scorpia was helping you put up some ornaments on your shared tree when she noticed how a few of them looked slightly different

It was clear that they weren’t store bought, judging from the stickers and marker scribbles on them

She curiously asked where they came from, having never seen any ornament like them before as all the ones she had were given to her by her moms, passed down from generation to generation

You told her they had been handmade by you when you were younger, and you kept them for so long because they had sentimental value

Her eyes lit up at the explanation before excitedly asking if you would teach her how to make some like the ones you had

Naturally, you said yes, causing her to squeal loudly and lift you up into a nearly bone crushing hug

You got out the materials you needed and made one of your own first to show her how to do it before handing her the stuff so she could make some of her own

Scorpia was so thrilled, she accidentally spilled the glue and tore up the paper before she could even begin

She sheepishly apologized for making a mess, to which you giggled in reply, telling her not to worry about it

After settling down some (and getting new materials) Scorpia was finally able to accomplish her goal of making a few of her own ornaments, with your help of course

It was very obvious they were handmade, but that didn’t matter to either of you

You ended up hanging them side by side on the tree, front and center, so you’d be able to think of each other everytime you looked at it

things that would absolutely be canon if everyone in shera and the princesses of power was jewish:

- Adora grew up thinking she was just like everyone else, only to find out about her jewish heritage when she gets the sword and starts rethinking her whole life

- Catra knows she's jewish but pretends otherwise and keeps it a secret, telling no one until one night she quietly tells Adora when they're in bed together and Adora swears to keep her secret

- Sea Hawk gets VERY into Purim. he's that one guy on your block who goes ALL OUT. costume, props, decorations, all of it.

- Mermista surprises everyone by getting really into Pesach re-enactments. she's bored all of pesach prep but the instant the seder starts she is the one who makes everyone follow along with the story and makes sure they hit every point.

- Swift Wind is very happy with the prevalence of apples on Rosh Hashanah. he insists on taking a bowl of apples with honey to the other horses.

- Bow and Glimmer have a blast building the sukkah together. Glimmer is able to drop the schach on from above, and they decorate the sukkah within an inch of its life.

- Perfuma is a shavuos gal. she makes the most beautiful plants line the hallways just so, flowering in the perfect places, with trees blooming all over. the flowers and pollen make everyone sneeze incessantly, but everyone agrees that it looks beautiful.

- Double Trouble is the monarch of purim. an entire holiday dedicated to disguising yourself and good-natured trickery? they're on it. okay maybe they take the trickery a little too far but can you blame them?

- Entrapta figures out the best way to build a sukkah, then figures out a better way, and then an ever cooler way, and ends up with like fifteen attempted sukkah projects behind the castle

- Frosta is the best at hiding the afikoman, hands down (she encased it in a block of ice in the freezer). she also finds the story of the makot very entertaining, and insists that Pharoah get punched at some point.

- Scorpia really really loves chanukah. she can't really hold a match or candle because of her pincers, but she adores the food and camaraderie. she wants everyone to sit down for a game of dreidel every single night, and she buys everyone the best, most thoughtful presents.

There have always been a too many pillows at Bright Moon. Not just in the prison/spare room but everywhere. They seem to multiply when you aren't looking and most guests to the castle end up taking about half of them off the bed before they sleep because it's just a bit too much when you aren't used to it.

But all the other former Horde kids (outside of Adora) cannot get enough of all the wonderful softness, something they saw so little of growing up. When Catra moves in, pillows start disappearing from all around the castle and invariably the staff find them in a colossal pile in the corner of a room, her and Scorpia napping somewhere in the middle, like a dragon with a cuddle hoard.

The Horde and Birthdays

Since Catra's birthday is coming up ( October 28th ), I've been thinking about how the Horde orphans could possibly remember their birthdays unless they were a bit older when they were taken.

And that's when I thought, what if those birthdays ( January 19th for Adora and October 28th for Catra ) aren't the exact days when they were born, but rather the day when they were found by the Horde.

It makes sense. We know from episode 2 that the Horde didn't teach their soldiers about birthdays. So why would they care to find out or approximate when the newest charge was born? BUT keeping files on them in which the day they were brough in is written seems a likely possibility.

My idea is that following Prime's defeat, the Frigh Zone undergoes reconstruction so Scopria could take over her kingdom. During this period, a ton of files about the former Horde soldier are found and since she isn't sure what to do with them and they seem to include personal information, she decides to return them to the people they are about.

This is how Adora & Catra get their hands on theirs. Neither of them is too excited to check what Shadow Weaver and others wrote about them, however there's one thing that catches Adora's eye, the date when they were taken in.

Following multiple birthday celebrations for their friends, an idea is cemented and she proposes is to Catra? Why not adopt those dates as their birthdays and try to make some good memories out of them, give them a new meaning?

From that point on, they always celebrate on October 28th and January 19th.
