thoughts on ocelot's fashion?

Since he evolves I'm going to do it like this:

Someone had a lot of freedom in his units uniforms didn't he? There's quite a mix of things but it all comes together in a glorious package. I think the hat suits him, as does the black. Add the spurs and theattitude on his little kitty face and it's a 10/10. MGSV: Revolver Ocelot/Shalashaka

I love/hate this outfit. The spurs are on POINT and the scarf is a peak choice. I think it's hilarious he leaves the collar open, but has a scarf covering his neck. The Victorian ankle of pecs or something. Love the boots, I want to throw the colour of his shirt into the seat. I wish he kept the duster from the beginning of the game. as it adds a lot of swag. I love how his gloves cut off JUST at the wrist, so it looks like he's showing some other tiny sliver of skin. He's starting to look more like the Sorrow around this point too, which I'm just weak for in general.

MGS1 Revolver Ocelot:

His hair is at it's best here (as it is in MGS2). He is fully buttoned up in this swagalicious three piece and bitchin' coat *I have a suit weakness could you tell*. I love the little pin in the tie. He's kept the spurs, and embraced evil elegance.

Special shout out to that BEAUTIFUL mustache.

He hasn't made too many changes here save for switching out the suit to the fatigues occassionally. But I like to considerr this the upgraded version to his peak MGS look so absolutely a fave.

First "redesign" which honestly isn't really a redesign because I think Aphmau's design looks fine, especially her season 3 design, which is what I used primarly for this.

The only things I "changed" were making her fatter because I've always read her as being fat because of her being Jess's self insert, changing the shirt to something closer to a sweater, and switching out her high tops for wedged-sandal things that I don't know how to describe but yeah :)

I have decided to feed you more of my random rewrite facts. - Red

One, Ein and Aphira (Aphmau in my rewrite), very much have a fucked up sibling relationship. Because of some random bits of werewolf culture, Ein is absolutely certain he has to protect Aphira from any dangers. This allows for some horrible implications about Ein's autonomy in Season 6.

Also, geez. Why is making Aphira a normal person so hard? (Not a rhetorical question, I really wanna know.)

So remember how Aphira has wings during the Reborn bits? Yeah, they get chopped off.

Vessels of gods. They're complicated. Imagine a relic holder with a relic specifically created by a god, that influences some of their thinking.

Just, the relationship between the Shalashaka family and the Ro'Meave family is a lot closer the entire time.

Half-Demon Sasha, who has decided that because everyone thinks she's going to be bad, she should just embrace it.

Sorry, I was just bored and chose to feed you with more rewrite fun facts.

It’s hard to make Aphmau a good person because many of the canon events and her relationships with others require her to do not great things.

And Demon Sasha is a must have, a need, even.

Cool Revolver Ocelot fact:

At the end of MGS3, Ocelot tells snake that his real name was Adamska, and that Ocelot was just a codename. Meaning his name would be written as Adamska "Revolver Ocelot" lastname

However, in MGS5 -his next cannon appearance (ignoring his cameos)- his name is listed as Revolver "Shalashaka" Ocelot in the credits. This implies that sometime between 1964 and 1984 he had his name legally changed to Revolver Ocelot.

so in the beginning of the ocelot-kin comic Ocelot mentions how the cat is in it’s kennel so it can’t bug him and I thought I’d go ahead and just draw him before work.

The Sorrow is about as good with animals as he is with children and Shalashaka could/would be perfectly fine living as a feral alley cat (he basically already IS one) but he and Ocelot have bonded, and the Sorrow believes the cat can see ghosts or ward of evil spirits so Shalashaka is more than content to eat their cat food and not use the Sorrow’s shins as scratching posts

I know the Shalashaka tape is well known enough that it’s probably one of the most famous tapes from the game but a few things about it have always nagged at my brain.

“Caught up in the old Russian pride” Ocelot, WHAT does that mean. I can’t wrap my head around what he could possibly be referring to here. Pride in interrogation? Torture? Some weird reference I’m totally missing, what do you mean. I can give myself a few possible ideas (or theories) as to what he means, but I also have to consider the fact that he might also be bullshitting a bit here-or saying something that sounds logical in his head only.

“Helped cover up my real objective of keeping you safe” Which becomes doubly interesting when of course, we learn the truth. Keeping Snake safe alright-both of them, in this case.

“Some of them would have seen me on the battlefield” Ocelot just..apparently NEVER slept in the 80′s. Ever. If we take him being active on the field, working with Kaz to establish and bring Diamond Dogs into existence, hypnotizing Venom, watching over Big Boss, heading up *and being in charge of* interrogations and torture, and god knows what else. Also implying Ocelot heavily being on the battlefield rather than behind the scenes. I do think it’s super interesting how as a spy, he’s more of a soldier spy.

I like what he says too about rumours, and how one can very much use said rumours to their advantage in the right circumstance. Take something already in existence, play on it, and use it to your advantage is a very Ocelot thing to do, I think.

“I’m plenty used to working under aliases” If there’s definitely one constant in series, that is certainly one of them. It both fascinates me and sometimes makes me a little sad, so many masks; each holding some fractal of truth within them, ever juggling all the balls in his court. He’s certainly got some of the most in series. But it’s so interesting to me that he’s personally aware of,  and openly embraces how many times he’s a certain character, person or role.

IDK I’m just rambling.

(I also took the tape out of the ACC so while there’s more background noise, I think the scenery with DD and Venom is kinda nice for a change of pace).

Ein Shalashaka [Rewrite Overview]

heyo, sorry for the lack of activity. im not gonna go to into depth but i lost a family member and am almost overdrafted in my bank account due to medical bills so ive been struggling to get everything situated. ill do my best to be active tho :”)

The product of an affair with Zack Scarletta and an unnamed woman, Ein is Aphmau’s younger half-brother. Zack showed an obvious bias for Aphmau, leading to a complete lack of bonding between him and his son, as well as leaving Ein with a strong hatred for Aphmau, seeing her as the reason he didn’t get a father in his life (not realizing that Zack wasn’t exactly a father to her either.) Ein’s mother basically raised him on his own, and she had many issues of her own, leaving Ein stuck in an incredibly toxic home.

Ein attended Phoenix Drop High School, which is where he’d meet Aphmau for the first time. The hatred and envy that had built up over the years would boil over during this time, leading to constant fights between the two (with Ein starting most of them). Ein would also meet Kai during this time, who was one of the few people who was still kind to him despite his toxic attitude, though Ein rejected Kai’s friendly nature constantly. Ein and Aphmau’s constant fights would eventually lead to Ein being forced to transfer to another school, where once he graduated, he was kicked out of his home. 

Ein managed to scrape together enough to get an apartment, landing a semi-decent job that kept a roof over his head and food on the table. He kept his head down after high school, keeping to himself, until he bumped into Kai again. The two hit it off, and now that Ein had been forced to look at himself in the mirror and acknowledge all the ugly behavior he’d been dealing with, he was able to view Kai in a different light. Desperate for friendship after being alone for almost two years, the two became friends, and Ein developed a crush rather quickly on Kai. It was because of Kai that Ein would eventually reach out to Aphmau to apologize for his past actions, and the two would reconnect and discuss the issues they had had and where it all had come from. Aphmau would eventually accept Ein’s apology, however both mutually agreed that low contact would be best for a while, especially with them still each dealing with their own issues. Ein and Kai now live together, and Ein still mostly keeps to himself, but is making efforts to get out into the world and learn to heal from a lot of his past trauma

The other three people floating in the strange white void nod, and the woman who looks too much like me reaches out a hand. I take it.

Then, there is nothing but the anger and rage of a pained god.

I sit, now, in a wheelchair, horrible pain wracking my body from every tiny movement. I know why this happened. There was a cost. There is always a cost.

They have their best healers looking at me constantly. They are confused. Of course they are. They know nothing of the prices I paid to do what I did.

I knew nothing of the prices I would pay to do what I did.

I wish I could run, these days. Far away from the past that haunts me. Far away from the memories that consume me, from the burning hate that isn't mine.

I miss Aaron. I miss Katelyn, and Lucinda, and Garroth, and Laurence. I miss so many people.

I may never see them again. I won't, unless I get this strangeness under control. Unless I stop waking up from nightmares, eyes full white from whatever power still rests within my broken body.

I speak at the same time as her, then.

Here I am, now, paying the price of my stupid heroism. I am nothing, now. Shattered and permanently changed. The scars on my back the perfect example.

How could I explain the conversation I just had? How could I explain the fear, the sorrow?

Then, there is only pain, as our wings are sliced off of our back. As my wings are sliced off of my back.

There's a knock on the door. Toby. He's nice enough, tells me what's going on with my friends while I recover.

"We've come to a decision." He sits on the bed, next to me.

"About?"

"Your... situation. It's been decided that you'll recover quicker if you're sent to stay with your friends. Of course, there are some things that will be important to this."

"What are they?"

"A contingency of the Guardian Forces will be in the neighborhood at all times, ensuring that none of you are attacked for what you are."

"Does this mean you're sending Travis home too?"

"Regrettably, no. He requested to recover further from his possession before being reunited with the others."

"Well, at least I'll have something other than memories of what happened to keep me company."

"That'll be good for you, Aphira."

"Yes. Yes it will."

He has no idea how good it will be to not be alone anymore. To not be haunted by the Lady who says that this was her mistake as much as mine.

To be free of the reminders of my death.

Eric’s past isn’t super important, however as an adult he met and married a woman named Elizabeth, and the two would go on to have two children together: Katelyn and Kasey Fire-Fist. Elizabeth would abandoned the family, leaving Eric a single dad until years later when he would meet Sylvana Shalashaka. Him and Sylvana would get married, blending their families together. He’s close with his eldest daughter, Katelyn, however his relationships with Kasey and Aphmau is a bit more complicated given Kasey’s issues with their mom leave and Aphmau’s strained relationship with her mother.

What I Want: A Phoenix Drop High Aphira Shalashaka Character Study

The first day in a new school is always the hardest, according to the people on the forum. You feel even less like you belong.

No one says anything about the first day of school after being homeschooled for most of your life. Aphira doesn't know how many differences there are between that and normal going to a new school. Maybe there are more than she realized.

She can't panic now. She's too close to getting to know more people. Garroth, at least, understands her desire to be noticed. Zane's been acting weird the last few months.

Sometimes, she remembers the text from FC when she told him she was nervous about going to a new school. "Well, what do you want?". And she wonders. What does she want out of this?

Friends? No, she has those already, even if there's only really three. Popularity? Hell no, she doesn't want that kind of attention. All the movies she's seen that have super popular characters have made that clear. Romance? Maybe, but that doesn't feel quite like it's what she's looking for.

It takes her a while, lying in bed the day before the first day of school, but eventually, she understands.

What she wants is to not feel like she doesn't belong anywhere at all. What she wants is to belong.
