i.amresilient After talking to thousands of survivors I’ve put this project together.
This project was created to allow survivors to share one important piece of their story.
The signs that they are holding are things that the legal system, friends/family, work, their abuser, etc. said to them at some point.
I hope that I’ve helped some of you that participated feel resilient and empowered. Especially if the legal system failed you.
Stay tuned for the multiple parts coming. If you’d like to participate it’s not too late. Please DM me.

The way they pounced on that boy and his mother tells you who the violent abusers, and acceptors of the abuse are. He defended his Mum from further battery by a violent man. The rest of those men cowardly ran! I may not have any opinion on the teachings of Louis Farrakhan but I agree with him on the modern day black men when it comes to protecting black women are sissies.
In other words: the mod bm has cowards
But I bet these same old cowards would be on social media talking about how they’re so outraged by another one of their own murdered by the police.
So it’s an outrage when a black man is murdered by cops but when a black man beats up a black woman you run like the chicken flavored coward you are?
But I’m in the wrong if I say that maybe you deserve to be a another name , another hashtag though

CW TW child abuse, sexual assault, trauma talk
As an experienced older brother, I will fight for you how I fought for my sister. I dealt with sexual assault and abuse from both my parents. I will never let anyone hurt my loved ones. Don't birth a child to use as a punching bag, they are our future and deserve so much respect. Learn to take no for an answer and quit being dumb as fuck. Listen alright? if you wanna hurt someone, try me, I'll beat your ass.

What you were wearing never mattered. The only reason it happened was because of the decision the other person made. You couldn’t have prevented it.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Let's spread awareness about sexual assault and support survivors so that everyone can feel safe and respected in their workplace. Remember, the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act helps protect employees from sexual harassment and abuse at work.

"பெண் சாமி"/"Pen Saami" (The High Priestess) Featuring a female சாமியாடி, we have now arrived at "The High Priestess" card. Nature worship is an aspect of the original, indigenous folk Dravidian faith that survives to this day, though they may now carry Hindu affiliation. Snakes were especially revered [eg: cobra is called நல்ல பாம்பு (Good Snake)]. Since they're seen in the monsoon, snakes are associated with fertility. Pongal, the secular Thamizh harvest festival, is also a surviving example of nature worship. The deities seen here are பிடாரி அம்மன் (Pidāri Amman) and காத்தாயி (Kāthāyi) - one of the ஏழு கன்னிமார் (Seven Virgin Goddesses). As stated in the previous post, the Vedic clergy wrote sthalapuranas (long after the deities' conception) in a way that subdued the folk deities before the Vedic ones. Folk legends were easily replaced or merged as they were nearly exclusively oral. This tactic, part of the bigger Sanskritisation process, enabled the Vedic priests to subdue the people who worshipped these deities and infiltrate and invade Dravidian spiritual spaces. TW: SA An example is the case of Kāthāyi, one of the Ezhu Kannimār. She is one of seven sisters, devotees of Shiva, born to a farmer. One day, chased by a man (do I even need to say why), they scattered and ran away. It took them an entire year to reunite and the sisters see that Kāthāyi now has a child. When enquired, Kāthāyi says that the man who had chased them had assaulted her, hence the child. The sisters didn't believe her. Distraught, she, with her child, enters and emerges from a fire unscathed. Then Shiva appears and reveals his identity as the man, tells the sisters that they would become goddesses of the places they ran to. In some accounts she is called Parvati. Kāthāyi, also known as Marāliyamman, now presides over Venganur. Similarly, many folk deities have been reduced from an independent deity to a submissive consort or a subordinate under a male god, usually Shiva. #leanderscribbles#tamil#tamilartist#tamilart#lineart#indigenous#sexualassaultawarenessmonth#southindian#asian#tarot#tarotart#divination#occult#spirituality https://www.instagram.com/p/CccP86aBZ2V/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
