Please lemme know what you think, I appreciate all the love y'all have given this au so far!!
Gods, he was gonna split you in half.
You stood completely naked, on shaky legs, in front of Paz where he was sitting on the couch, his chest bare and his sweatpants tugged down just enough for his cock to spring free, resting against the taut skin of his stomach, flushed and weeping. He looked far too composed for a man who’d just spent the better part of an hour fucking you on his fingers and his tongue to prepare you for what he wanted you to do.
It was fucking infuriating.
It was also hot as hell.
His lips curled into a cocky smirk, as if he could read your mind. You were very pointedly trying to keep your eyes trained on his face, which was made all the more difficult when he wrapped his hand around his cock, slowly stroking himself. You couldn’t help yourself as your gaze flickered down to where his hand was wrapped around himself. Even with his own hand, he still looked disproportionately large, and not for the first time, you wondered how exactly your poor pussy was going to survive this... exercise.
“What’s wrong, bunny?” Even his voice was cocky, and even though Paz was your best friend, you felt a very strong urge to strangle him. Still, there was that little voice in the back of your head that was salivaiting at the mere thought of getting him inside you.
You were unreasonably proud at how steady you managed to keep your voice, given what your body had been subjected to and the looks he was leveling you with. “You’re not gonna fit, Paz.”
He didn’t answer right away, instead holding the hand not wrapped around his cock out to you, a silent request. You didn’t hesitate to step forwards and place your own hand in his, letting him tug you forward until you were standing inbetween his legs. Even like this, with him seated and you standing, you were looking him in the eyes. Paz was just that big.
“Don’t worry about that, bunny,” Paz said as he used his grip on your hand to encourage you to turn around, his hand moving to grasp your hip as he pulled you closer to him. You let him guide you, fingers clenching and unclenching in anticipation. He paused for a brief moment to swipe his fingers through your folds, an approving hum leaving him when he deemed you were still wet enough, before returning those fingers to his cock, slicking himself up with your release. Then, he was pulling you down, letting your weight rest mostly against his chest as he notched the head of his cock at your entrance. You sucked in a breath at the sudden pressure, but made an effort to relax.
He made a soft shushing noise, his hand helping to steady you as he began to lower you down, the pressure increasing slowly until the head of his cock was suddenly inside you. You gasped slightly at the intrusion, your thighs tensing at the unfamiliar sensation. You’d had sex before, certainly, but your ex was a much smaller man. Even your toys had never been quite this large.
“P-Paz?” You breathed, voice shaking.
He immediately paused, and you could feel as he kissed the back of your bare shoulder briefly. “Yeah, bunny?”
“W-What if… what if you… d-don’t… what if you don’t…” You trailed off, suddenly embarrased. You were likely far less experienced than his previous partners, and you wondered-not for the first time-how exactly this arrangement was going to affect your relationship with Paz.
But Paz seemed to know what you were trying to say. He tutted softly, brushing his lips against the length of your throat, his smile soft against your skin. “Don’t worry, bunny,” he murmured, starting to work you down again, his cock slowly sliding further and further into you as your mouth fell open at the stretch.
“I’ll make it fit.”
The cocksure tone of his voice made you clench, and he immediately shushed you again, placing both hands on your waist and sitting up from where he’d been lounged against the couch cushions. You made a concerted effort at relaxing again, and you slipped a little further down his length.
The sensation of being slowly stuffed full of Paz’s cock was something you honestly had never imagined you’d get to experience. It was currently defying all expectation, and you weren’t entirely sure you’d make it to being fully seated on his cock without passing out from the pleasure.
He eventually got you about halfway impaled on his cock when he seemed to hit a barrier, and you immediately winced at the uncomfortable feeling. Paz once again stopped immediately, his hands tightening slightly around your waist. You felt a keen sense of disappointment, and you suddenly felt the slight urge to cry. You’d known you weren’t going to be able to take all of him, and he was going to be so disappointed-
“I wanna try something,” he suddenly said, his tone not disappointed like you’d expected, but contemplative. “Trust me?”
You blinked, unsure as to where that was coming from, but nodded nonetheless. You probably should’ve been a bit more cautious with answering, because Paz suddenly slid his hands down from where they’d been resting on your waist to wrap his fingers around the backs of your thighs, and lifted.
A squeal of shock escaped your mouth and your hands flailed as you were suddenly supported only by his grip on your thighs and half of his cock in your cunt. He pulled your thighs apart, so your legs were no longer between his own, but dangling on the outsides of his own thighs. Pulling your legs apart like this surprisingly eased the pressure in your cunt, and he slowly began to lower you more, and your pussy greedily sucked him in.
He was completely supporting your weight with just his hands and forearms, and your brain could not comprehend the strength he must be using to hold you like this. But you couldn’t deny, it was far easier for you to take him in this position, and before you’d quite processed that, the backs of your thighs were resting on the tops of his, and his cock was completely buried in your pussy.
You sucked in a sharp breath, leaning back so your upper body was supported by his chest and you could rest your head against his shoulder. Paz stroked his hands up and down your thighs, humming appreciatively. Your own legs were trembling from the strain and effort it had taken for you to take him.
For a few moments, the two of you just sat there, adjusting to the sensations. You were honestly shocked that you’d managed to take all of him, and you felt a not insignificant amount of pride. Still, it was overwhelming to be that full, and you couldn’t help but brush your hand over your abdomen, feeling like he was in your stomach he was that deep inside you.
Paz chuckled, the vibrations jolting you slightly and shifting his cock slightly inside you, making you whimper quietly. One of his hands came up to cover yours, the size of his hand dwarfing your own.
“Can you feel me here, bunny?” At your nod, Paz pressed down slightly, and you gasped as the change in pressure made sparks of pleasure light up your nerves. “Yeah, you can. How does it feel?”
It took you a few tries to reply, your throat dry and your tongue heavy in your mouth. “I-I feel s-s-so full.” There was truly no other way to describe it, the sensation so unfamiliar but also one you were quickly coming to love.
“Hmm, I bet,” he responded, sounding far too smug and full of himself. He slowly spread his thighs, forcing your own legs further open.
With the way your legs were hooked over his thighs, and the way you were impaled on his cock, you had no choice but to let him move your body the way he wanted to. You felt your cheeks warm at how exposed you were like this, naked and spread open on his lap, even in the emptiness of your shared apartment. You tried to squirm a bit to get more comfortable, and he shifted underneath you, tilting his hips up further into yours somehow, but also easing some of the strain in your lower back as he did so.
The fullness inside of you had you clenching and unclenching, your muscles unused to this position and trying in vain to adjust. Paz didn’t seem to react, although he did wrap his arm more fully around your waist and brough his other hand up to stroke at where the two of you were joined together. Your eyes rolled back in your head as his fingers found your swollen clit, rubbing at it gently.
“P-P-Paz,” you stuttered, voice shaking violently. “P-Paz, s-so much, t-t-too m-mph!”
He’d jerked his hips slightly, just enough to barely count as pulling out before he settled back deep inside you, cutting your protests off with ease. He sped up his fingers, and you thought he might be enjoying the way you trembled uncontrollably on his lap.
“Jus’ need you to come one more time for me, bunny,” he slurred, voice low and thick in your ear. “It’ll help you take me a bit easier, don’t worry. Just gimme one more, okay? I promise it’ll help, it’ll feel so good bunny. You trust me, don’cha?”
You nodded shakily, turning your head to press your sweaty forehead against the side of Paz’s neck. “O-O-Okay, Paz.”
He pressed a kiss against the top of your head, and his fingers sped up again. You’d been on the edge since he began to fuck you onto his cock, and you honestly didn’t need much more stimulation before you were coming again with a low moan and weak twitches of your hips.
Paz hummed appreciatively, his fingers sliding through the mess you’d made between your legs and around his cock. You were tingling with overstimulation, feeling flushed and sweaty and you probably looked a mess, but it was only Paz here to judge you, and you got the feeling he didn’t mind, especially when he was directly responsible for your wrecked state.
“You did such a good job, bunny.” You preened at the words, feeling a sense of accomplishment. “Such a good girl for me, giving me another. You feel so good coming around me like that.” He paused, the silence heavy, and you abruptly felt very much like prey, like the nickname Paz had bestowed upon you implied. You didn’t have the time to contemplate it before he continued.
“I lied, bunny. I’m sorry, but you just felt so good.” His fingers trailed back up to your throbbing clit. “I wanna feel that again. Wanna feel your lil’ pussy trembling around my cock. I wanna feel you gush around me.”
You mouth fell open, and your hands tried to reach down to pull him away but he was quicker, the arm that had been around your waist coming up to grip your wrists in one huge hand, bringing them up so your restricted hands were pressed into your sternum. He tutted softly, spreading his legs just a little further and restricting your movement just that little bit more.
“We agreed on the rule, bunny. You let me do whatever I want, whenever I want. Isn’t that right?” He didn’t wait for an answer before continuing to whisper in your ear, tormenting you.
“And I wanna feel this pretty lil’ pussy absolutely strangle my cock again. I wanna feel you come and come and come until you can’t anymore. And then I wanna fill you up, wanna fill you up so full you’ll feel me dripping down your thighs for weeks. I wanna see you on campus and know you can still feel me in your fucking guts. I want you to sit with your friends and all you can think about is how I feel inside you right now. Any time a guy even fucking looks at you I want you to remember how this feels. I want you to remember how hard you came with my cock in your lil’ cunt.”
He stopped for a moment, breathing harshly in your ear as he quickly worked you towards another orgasm, and you almost couldn’t hear his next words over the uncontrollable whimpers and moans that escaped your throat as he abused your poor cunt.
“You’ll never be able to fuck anyone else and not think of me, bunny. I’m gonna fucking wreck you.”

Maybe Spider will go with his father and the squad to Paz's grave? There they could reminisce about old times and tell Spider about his mother as their friend, maybe the stories of meeting her and Miles Sr.
Here's a lil one-shot :)
Spider had never been to a cemetery before. His mom was buried on the other side of the city, an hour's drive from the McGregor's house, more with traffic. Mrs. McGregor had made promises of taking him more than once, but there was never any time.
He wasn't sure if there was a dress code, but his new uncle, Lyle, had shown up to the apartment wearing another Hawaiin shirt (this one was black and gold) and grass-stained jeans. Spider slept most of the car ride, nearly forty-five minutes with his face pressed against the leather seats. His father and uncle talked quietly in the front seat, the music thumping low in the background.
Spider was tired enough when they arrived that he hadn't even realized the car had stopped until his father opened his door. He wordlessly helped the teenager out of the car, a hesitant hand pushing some of his curls from his face. The boy yawned, following the men through the winding paths of the graveyard.
It was a big place and most of the tombstones looked identical, but his father and uncle seemed to have no trouble navigating through the maze. Maybe they'd been arranged alphabetically? Spider didn't really want to ask, it was probably a stupid question. He wondered if tree roots ever made the headstones fall over? How slowly would that even happen? And what if—
"We're here."
Oh. Spider stopped two steps away from where his father was, staring at the stone. P. Socorro, loving mother, lovely person.
Spider wondered how heavy the stone was. What if someone just broke in and started rearranging them? How would they know?
"You can come closer, son." Quaritch spoke softly, brushing leaves from the— what was that, cement? Some type of boulder?
"I don't want to step on her." He muttered, frowning down at the grass. "Kiri says it's rude to wake 'em up."
Kiri also said he should hold his breath so he didn't accidentally inhale a spirit, but he'd only lasted a few steps before inhaling.
Lyle snorted. "I think she'll understand."
Spider didn't want to risk it. He crouched down, pulling up a few tiny weeds that were starting to sprout. He mouth felt dry, like all the moisture had gown straight to his sweaty palms.
He wasn't really sure what to say. He thought about the picture he'd seen of his mom— smiling, happy. He couldn't really imagine her rotting six feet below.
"You know . . . " His father cleared his throat. "You know, when I met your mama, I kind of hated her. We were at each other's throats for the first . . . at least the first three months."
Spider raised an eyebrow, as if to ask how he'd ended up happening if such a thing was true.
"One night, we all ended up getting drunk off some shit we'd bought off the natives. Moonshine, we'd thought, but it ended up being a lot stronger." He laughed, sending Spider's uncle a look. "Your uncle Lyle ended up passed out in a bush and I think Paz was the only other one sober enough to help me carry him inside."
"Thank God for my low alcohol tolerance, really." Lyle said with a laugh.
Spider rolled his eyes. "What happened after that?"
"Well, we ended up babysitting drunken soldiers most of the night and by the end of it . . . well, I stopped hating her by the second round of cards."
"Did you two actually . . . did you actually love her?" Spider asked quietly, looking down at the grave.
"Yes." He answered without hesitation. "And I only loved her more after we had you."
Spider nodded, throat tight. He took a small step closer, almost leaning against his father. His ribs felt too tightly pressed against his organs, but he took in a deep breath anyways.
Paz Socorro. Loving mother, lovely person.

Hi May! I’m sorry you aren’t feeling well right now 🤧🤒. I thought I’d stop by with some Trucker!Paz AU thoughts to hopefully take your mind off being sick.
I actually work for a trucking company doing accounts receiving so this AU hits close to home for me. But since A/B/O doesn’t exist irl 😔, I imagine things a bit differently…and heads up, this is shamefully self indulgent. I mean I’m being completely ridiculous here, but I had a shitty day and I need to lose myself in a world where Paz exists so please indulge me 😏.
Instead of Paz being a OTR trucker in your AU, I picture him spending his days running loaded containers of liquor from a large distribution center to the rail. At the end of the day he usually scans his gate tickets and his signed BOLs to his billing person. But maybe his scanner is old and isn’t working right and the images aren’t coming over clearly and it’s causing issues with the customer paying their invoices which causes issues with AR.
This is where you enter the picture. You feel bad and want to do everything you can to help out Paz so he won’t get deducted for his unpaid loads. At your suggestion, Paz starts dropping off his paperwork in person. You help him get all his unpaid loads cleared up but more importantly, he discovers how pretty his billing person is 😉.
You and Paz hit it off immediately and Paz looks forward to seeing you every time he stops by. And even when Paz finally buys a new scanner, he still wants to drop his paperwork off in person so he can keep seeing and talking to you.
And you can’t stop thinking about him. He’s just so kind and sweet and has the cutest smile that makes his eyes crinkle. You’re constantly thinking about how big he is and how good he always smells. He always wears really comfy looking flannels that make you think about how warm he must be. His hair looks so soft you just want to comb your fingers through it. And his voice…his voice makes you dizzy and horny. And then one day your brain gets all fuzzy when he looks extra gorgeous and Paz catches you staring at his extremely kissable lips and things get really sexually charged 🥵 and you don’t know if you want to die of embarrassment or just confess how much you like him and want to get to know him outside of work. Paz decides to help you out and asks you out on a date first and you practically shout out “YES!” which makes Paz chuckle warmly. He tucks a loose strand of your hair behind your ear and tells you he’ll pick you up Friday night and calls you “Love” and you feel like you’re going to melt right there on the spot 🫠. You barely can focus for the rest of the week because all you can think about is how it’s actually happening, you’re finally going out on a date with the big beautiful man of your dreams. 🥰
Tumblr media
Anyway, hope this brightened your day ☀️ and that you are feeling better soon. Have some chicken noodle soup and drink some tea with lemon and honey. Stay hydrated and get lots of rest. Thinking of you and sending virtual hugs your way. 🤗
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This the cutest fucking thing I’ve ever read and I’m so in love with this 😭😭😭😭 He’s so soft and warm and kind and hopelessly in love with you and when you both work late, he walks you to your car and when Friday comes around he wears one of his dress shirts and gets you flowers and everything 🥺👉👈

Hello, for the AU, what would you think would happen in a mando coffee shop au, if you don't have time for everybody I was thinking about Din or Boba specifically
Thank you so much in advance ❤
Omg yeeessssss Coffee Shop AU are just so wholesome and I love them so much.....
Din-
So for this I imagine you are the one working at the coffee shop, maybe you're in college trying to stay afloat or whatever, but then one day after the nearby preschool got out this handsome ass dad comes in with his adorable little son. He gets a coffee that should kill him, like 12 shots of espresso or something, and gets his son a couple of cake pops and a hot coco
After that they show up more often, and when you ask your co workers you find out they only come when you are working
You and Din make eyes at eachother for AWHILE but neither of you say anything
Then one day you are secluded for the morning shift and you are sad you won't see your two favorites boys, but on the third day of the new shift here both of them come and your morning gets soooo much better
Din shyly lingers after he pays, and tells you that he missed you making their drinks because you always made them the best, and with a blush he hands you a slip of paper with his number and asks if you're free for a date Saturday
Boba-
So again for this one you are the one working at the coffee shop, and Boba runs this big private investigation organization (that several people think is a front for the mob, but you've always laughed that conspiracy off)
Boba is a regular because his office is close to the small shop and he always says that he likes supporting small businesses, but you have never had the chance to wait on him
Then one day, late at night, you were the one closing and everyone had gone home, and you heard the bells jiggle and you groaned because it was so close to closing, but then you saw Boba and he apologized for coming in so late, when he left he tipped you $100
After that night you got put on the closing shift for the foreseeable future, but every night Boba comes in and the two of you talk, the first time you made him laugh you thought your heart stopped, and he always tips you ridiculous amounts
Then one evening he came in and after you asked if he wanted his usual, he shakes his head and with a crooked smile asks if your evening was free
Paz-
So this time you are the owner of a small Cafe in a small town, and Paz is your main supplier and he always makes deliveries every Wednesday around 10 am
You always makes sure you are there to watch him unload everything under the guise of wanting to make sure nothing is missing, but really you just want to watch his muscles work under his tight blue shirt he always wears
You always try and tip him but he always declines so instead you offer a coffee and a pastry on the house, which he can never turn down (he always gets a vanilla chia with cinnamon and he tries a different pastry each week) and you sit with him and just have small conversations
One week Paz doesn't show up, and you instantly get worried, then you hear on the news that 'a local hero was hit by a drunk driver as he was saving a mother dog and her three puppies' and your heart stops when you see them show a picture of Paz and the second they announce where he was you instantly grab a few things and drive there
Once the doctors let you into his room, you walk in with tears, but he's sitting up and smiles as soon as he sees you. He had a broken leg and a concussion, thank God the car wasn't going any faster, and you walk over and hand him the chia with extra cinnamon and slice of strawberry pie, with a shy hi. Paz takes them and sets them on his table before reaching for you and pulling you into a kiss
Armorer (Amara) I know you didn't ask for her but I had an idea so I'm adding her here-
So you own a bookstore/coffee shop that is popular in your small college town and Amara owns a smithing shop where she crafts different things
She often visits in the morning when you have just opened and its only you in the store, she always gets her drink to go and never lingers, but she is always very cordial and nice to you, offering small smiles
You find that she has two boys, not hers, that are going to the college and work for her in her shop, Din and Paz
One day you both got into a conversation and before she left you jokingly asked how much she would charge to make a pretty and ornate dagger and sheath, she had only shot you a smile that had your heart skipping a beat and heat to rise in your face before she left
The two of you talked more after that, but the dagger question was never brought up again. Then one day she shocks you by coming in at closing after everyone had left and setting a beautiful wooden box on the counter before looking at you expectantly. When you opened the box you found a gorgeous dagger and a note, when you looked up at her she only nodded down to the note with a small smile, and when you read the note it said, 'The dagger is free for you, as long as you promise to go on a date with me, as well as promise not to use it on me ;) -Amara

“Remind me why people move houses?” You whined into the phone wedged between your shoulder and your chin as your co-worker’s laugh sounded through the receiver. “Seriously Jadu. Meetings with the publishing team are more fun.” You scolded pulling another cardboard box marked with ‘kitchen’ in messy sharpie closer to you. You thought there was something wrong with the house or the neighborhood when you originally saw the shockingly low offering price for the house.
With the heavy cardboard tucked under one arm, You singlehandedly heaved it onto the kitchen counter and sliced through all the packaging tape with a box cutter that was wobbly at best. “It's new and sometimes it’s hard, Y/N/N. Remember college-“ Jadu spilt down the phone regaling you with the tale of how he’d walked into their shared accommodation while you were in nothing but a towel. “There's also that midnight romp-“
“I’m going to hang up if you continue.” You scolded as you began to unpack the kitchen box. “But still. Who thinks that car sex is comfortable? I’m sure the searing wheel was trying to merge with my spine.” You joked remembering how the thing had dug into the small of your back and no amount of kissing and touching could distract you from that. Slowly you floated around the small kitchen storing everything away into its proper place, eventually, the house was beginning to look lived in and to like it had sat empty for what the estate agent had described as years.
Glancing at the circular dining table, it had several boxes piled onto it dangerously. You’d chosen to take the majority of moving and reorganising yourself since the other things you were bringing with you was kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and your office. “Still can’t believe you moved out to the middle of nowhere into an almost fully furnished house for dirt-cheap.” Jadu muttered, taking charge of the conversation and expressing his distaste for the house and ‘energy’ around it. You rolled your eyes, and you disposed of the phone on the kitchen counter and hit the loudspeaker button as you tuned to start flattening the cardboard box out while listening to Jadu ramble on about how the photo’s he’d seen of the house were everything but welcoming and that the energy levels were out of ‘whack’.
You muttered quietly to yourself as you went in search of the crumpled water bottle from your bag leaving Jadu to his ramblings even if he believed his concerns were justified. “Have you ever met your neighbours?” Jadu’s recognisably brash tone echoed through the newly packed away kitchen.
You stopped threshold into the kitchen as you took a more than generous gulp from the water bottle, the question had sparked a memory for earlier in the day. “Honestly I’m surprised the neighbourhood welcome committee hasn’t made an appearance.” You chuckled, picking up the phone and placing it on top of the two boxes titled ‘Bedroom’. “How are things at work anyway?” You asked, seeing as you’d now become part of the growing percentage of people working from home.
You listened to Jadu sigh heavily and began talking about how he was missing out on stuff because the company wasn’t allowing him to have as much time off as he used to but given that he worked with a very picky publishing team then it was expected that his workload was almost never-ending. “I mean someone in publishing is giving me a deadline for editing a manuscript that doesn’t belong to one of their clients. Do you see my issue here?” Jadu complained, sounding as if he was passing through the seven stages of grief and got stuck somewhere between bargaining and anger.
You hummed quietly as you ascended the stairs of the old house with a cardboard box under your arm and the other waiting at the bottom of the stairs for when you made the next trip. “Is it Nyla? She’s department head and might be very aware of how ‘quickly’ you zoom through stuff.” You smirked hearing the hefty huff from Jadu on the other end of the phone, Jadu had a pension for leaving some projects till the last minute and then pushing them onto someone else days before the deadline. “Speak of the devil…” Jadu began and added a hurried ‘I gotta go’ before he hung up the phone. Shaking your head, you laughed a little as you stood in the doorway to your bedroom. Whoever lived there previously had removed the door and hadn’t bothered to replace it. The room was sparsely decorated, missing a door and the pastel-painted walls made you want to throw something but at least the mattress looked like it didn’t have any funky-looking stains or weird smells and the rest of the furniture was intact.
“I have to get a bedroom door.” You breathed, settling on the mattress with the box next to you as you fell backwards and released a breath you didn’t know you’d been holding. “I have to get food too.” You lamented the idea of your fridge being empty then takeaway sounded good, but you didn’t know what the local one was. “Guess I need to go to the store.” You huffed checking the time on your phone trying to decide if it’s worth going food shopping.
*
You revealed in the fact that her local grocery store wasn’t a long trek into town, the small grocery store felt like a glowing beacon in the afternoon of the quiet town. Stepping through the automated door, you immediately hesitated not knowing where anything was and almost scolded yourself for thinking that the store's layout was the same as the ones back home. Grabbing a basket, you set off on a small journey looking for anything that looked like it took the least amount of effort and time.
With time you came to know the store and tried to memorise the layout in case you’d need to make another trip during the week. You wandered through the aisles glancing at almost every shelf looking for the next thing on your list of foodie wants. “There you are,” You muttered as you settled your gaze on multiple packages of hard candy, heart stones, they were lightly spiced with cinnamon and reminded you of home and your grandparents, when they used to sneak you a packet every time they visited. “Wasn’t sure if I’d ever find you here.” You whispered to the packs of candy before hucking a total of six of the fairly small packets into the basket along with the pot noodles.
Pulling yourself away from the shelves you continued down the aisle and tried to mentally tally up the contents of your basket before colliding with something solid, sending you back a few steps. “Oh, sweet Jesus.” You yelped, almost giving yourself whiplash as you took in the tall mountain of a guy you’d bumped into. “Sorry about that. Didn’t see you there.” You apologised smiling brightly, as you readjusted your grip on the basket. The washed-out dark blue sweatshirt with a faded with a washed-out college emblem was the first thing that caught your attention simply because it took up most of your vision then it was the sheer size of the guy, he was almost as tall as he was wide or as your grandmother would have put it, he was built to last.
“You alright?” He asked, looking slightly panicked with a large hand extended almost like he was ready to catch her as if she was going to fall. You nodded, muttering your apologies and glanced over your shoulder at the elderly woman at the other end of the aisle seemingly waiting for them both to move. “No harm done.” He smiled and you had to almost choke on the almost inhuman noises trying to escape you. In your head, you were muttering about how downright adorable the guy’s smile was and how stupid you were for saying you didn’t see him there. He’s probably tall enough to change your lightbulbs without a ladder. “Dude how tall are you?” You rushed out before you could grab the words and push them through a verbal processor. Hearing a bassy chuckle rumble out of the man and you joined in almost embarrassed and awkwardly, feeling a warmth radiating from your cheeks and ears. “I’m sorry that’s weird. I’ll be going now.” You motioned as she stepped to the side and the tall guy followed, stepping in front of her again, you stepped to the right and he almost panicked he swapped sides and you unconsciously followed. They both dissolved into a side-to-side step dance almost everyone did at least once in their life.
Ducking down trying to hide the slight flush warming your skin as you glanced over your shoulder at the elderly woman whose shoulders were quietly quacking as she muttered to the teenage boy holding up the seemingly overflowing basket in both hands. “Attracted an audience, haven't we?” The tall guy observed, and you tossed a half-hearted glare at him as you tried to almost disappear into the shelves. “I’m 6’5 by the way.” He muttered sliding past you and went on his way deeper into the relatively small grocery store.
Almost like you were on autopilot, you wandered back towards the front of the grocery store to pay for your questionable food shopping. You attempted to make small talk with the young 17-year-old pottering about behind the counter, but it wasn’t returned and you marked it up to being wary of newcomers. “Thank you. Have a nice night.” You thanked lifting the plastic bag off of the counter and began the journey home.
*
“I am so fucking stupid,” You half yelled, and half sang into the silence of your entry hall. “How is that the first thing I say to someone.” You continued tossing your keys on the smallish storage cabinet to your left knowing the Jadu would tease you with the knowledge for eras to some. Muttering to yourself and wandered back into your barely lived-in kitchen and slammed the nondescript shopping bag on the counter and began making one of the pot noodles and tossing the rest of them into the cupboard above your head.
Still feeling the heat of your embarrassment you deflated slightly and leaned against the counter. “Dude how tall are you?” You question yourself again with a hint of disbelief even though you were sure that the guy's hands could easily cover your face. Robotically, you grabbed the kettle and began making your pot noodle, you‘d barely gotten the fork in your mouth when a soft knocking sounded against your front door. “Who in the hell.” You muttered skittering towards your front door leaving the pot noodle on the counter, the small strip of frosted glass on either side of your front door did little to give you an idea of who was standing on the porch.
Pulling open the door, you stood in your socks searching an empty porch for who' knocked on your door. Already you thought the neighbourhood’s kids were playing tricks on you. Moving to step on to the porch almost kicking into something warm and injuring yourself. You glanced down at the warmth on your toes, a Tupperware container sat close to your front door you were surprised that you hadn’t put her foot in it when she stepped out the door. “Um hello?” you greeted the container sceptically as she crouched down to collect it. “Thank you f-for the soup?” You thanked and questioned the container as you curiously tilted the container from side to side watching the soupy liquid inside move with your movements.
As you stepped back into your house you wondered if whatever was in the container would keep till tomorrow. Heading back into the kitchen you placed the container on the counter and unfolded the piece of paper taped to the side of it.
‘Hi, I live across the street and since you’re new here. And I guessed your fridge was probably empty, so I made a little extra broth and packed it up for you. Don’t worry it’ll keep till tomorrow just put it on the stove on medium heat for 20 minutes or in the microwave for the same. Welcome to the neighbourhood - Omera’ The note read, and you smiled at the kindness of Omera, a woman you’d yet to put a face to, while stuffing another fork full of pot noodle into your mouth, you tucked the note back into its original place and stored the container of broth away in her empty fridge.
*
You released a huff as you tried to make yourself taller to reach the bathroom windows handle, the steam from your most recent shower was so dense that it just didn’t want to dissipate and with a tight grip on the counter, you doubled your efforts and finally got the window open. With pride in your step, you wandered into your new bedroom with your toothbrush hanging out of your mouth as a familiar ring tone pierced the quiet of your bedroom. Without looking, you answered the phone and set it on loudspeaker, “Hello, you're on loudspeaker.” You garbled out as you rinsed your mouth out and placed your toothbrush by the sink. “Do you know how many times I’ve called you!” Your mom yelled through the phone and you visibly cringed at the sharpness in your mother’s tone, the woman was a force to be reckoned with when she wanted to be. “Anything could have happened. Are you sure the neighbourhood’s safe enough?” Your mother rattled on worrying about you even though you were in your 30’s with a stable income and living alone.
Smiling at the sentiment you grabbed your phone and climbed into the bed. “I’m fine Mom. The neighbourhood seems safe enough. I mean aren’t the estate agents legally obligated to tell me if it wasn’t.” You muttered as you settled crossed legged at the head of the bed, the weirdly comfortably headboard cushioned your back as you leaned back into it and the pillows to get comfortable. “What’ve I missed first? Is Dad still looking for work?” You asked as you placed the phone on the pillow next to you, warmth filled you as you silently listened to your mom explain how another nameless auntie had a baby, another cousin getting engaged and how your step-dad, Lanth; a man who’d worked the majority of his life, still refuse to take his retirement and you didn’t think he’d ever actually take it at this point.
“You know how Lanth is. Honestly, I’m starting to think I married a 20-year-old in an old man’s body.” Your mom explained you smiled at the warmth you heard in your mom's voice and when you’d originally met Lanth you’d been sceptical as every teenager was of their parent's new boyfriends or girlfriends. “But enough about us. What about you? Hm. How’s the new house?” Your mom asked, sounding as eager as you had when you’d originally agreed to drive out to meet the estate agent and view the house.
Reaching behind you to prop up the pillows a little and pull the clean sheets over yourself, you sighed a little, feeling a wave of tiredness trying to overtake your body. “Nevarro’s housing market hasn’t inflated like the rest of the states but honestly I’ve been waiting for someone to tell me that it's haunted or in a bad neighbourhood.” You stated relishing in the soft fresh scent of your sheets in comparison to the musty old smell the other ones had. Your mom's voice was muffled on the other side of the phone as if she was talking to someone or left the TV on a little too loud. “The pastel bedroom walls make me want to throw something...but what are you whispering about?” You questioned yawning halfway through the sentence as you slowly began to settle down for the night.
On the other end of the phone, your mom sighed heavily, and it was the tell-tale sign that usually came before news that you wasn’t going to like. “Lanth said there's a Mandalorian settlement out that way and that you might want to be careful.” Your mom explained, concerned and a little off as if she was relaying what was being said to her. You hummed in agreement; you knew not all of Lanth’s people were the same, but they were best approached with caution just in case. “Anyway, I’ll let you go. Goodnight. Love you baby.”
“Goodnight. Love you both.” You smiled into your pillow as you heard the baritone of Lanth through the phone telling her to sleep well and to be careful. You watched the screen blink a few times telling you that your mom had hung up the phone, sleep tugged at you as you pulled the sheets up under your chin and glanced around the bedroom one final time to centre yourself. “I still have to get a door.” You muttered staring at the dark abyss of the hallway before rolling over and trying to ignore the unsettling inky darkness but with the bedside lamp on you slowly began to drift off into a slight sleep.

Mother Hen Ch 4!!
A/N: Hey guys! Sorry for such a long wait! School was highkey kicking my ass but I got a filler chapter in so I can gather some ideas together and put out a better chapter. xoxo
Tumblr media
The rest of the day was pretty basic and usually happened every day. School was out and Lilo was on her way home but decided to stop at the bodega to get something to quench her thirst. She entered the shop and made her way to the fridges in the back, seeing the different choices until she found her favorite, Bang energy. She immediately grabbed it and went to the man behind the register, setting the drink on the counter to grab her wallet in her pocket, unaware of the watchful eye of the cholo that caught feelings.
The next day, Lilo decided to drive to school since she had to work out that morning at the gym. After her workout, she took a shower at the gym and changed into the clothes she was gonna wear to school. Her clothes were her regular jeans, cuffed enough to see her socks, and her Rolling Stones shirt tucked in at the front then a flannel over. When she got out of her car there was a honk, but she thought it was for someone else until it honked again so she turned to see Oscar and Cesar there.
She walked up to the car, “wassup, fools?”
“Puta, stop,” Oscar smirked, “you ain’t got it like me, homie,”
Lilo rolled her eyes, “whatever, homes. C’mon, Cesar. Let’s leave this loser to go do stuff,”
Cesar got out with a chuckle and walked with her, waving at Oscar, “so, what’s up with you and my hermano?”
“Que? Yo no se,” Lilo looked at him confused, “what are you talking about?”
“Stop with that, Lo,” Cesar glanced at Lilo, “he hasn’t messed around with any other girl after breaking up with Valentina. He’s only ever been hanging out with you and the gang so what’s up?”
“Nada…” Lilo cleared her throat, “fine, we had a bet going on to see who would fall for who, but I realized I was falling so I stopped the bet and now we’re best friends, kinda,”
“Why?!” Cesar stopped walking, “you and him are great together and I finally get a somewhat family. I already see you as a sister and a guardian, same with Oscar. You both have feelings for each other! Por favor, get together and get married and have kids. I don’t care but get together,”
“C!” Lilo raised her voice, “dejame en paz. He doesn’t like me like that. Not in the way that I like him. I haven’t even had sex yet and I’m a senior. Pretty sure he wants someone experienced, not someone that can make him laugh,”
Cesar took out his phone with a grin, “well I am helping you guys get together so I recorded this and I’m sending this to him. Bye, Lo! Gracias, mana,”
Cesar began running when Lilo got closer to him, “Cesar! Get back here! Do not send that to him!”
“Too late!” Cesar stopped running to show her the message sent to Oscar, “you should be getting a call soon. You’re welcome,”
At that moment her phone began ringing with Oscar flashing on the screen, she groaned as she answered it, “hello,”
“Hola, mamita,” Oscar’s voice rang through, “so who fell for who?”
“Callate, pendejo,” Lilo rolled her eyes, “it’s nothing. Your brother is annoying,”
“Nah, hermosa,” Oscar smirked, “be ready tonight. I got something planned out for you,”
He hung up before she could ask any questions, but she let it go with a shrug and began going on with her day. However, it didn’t stop the constant wonder of what Oscar had planned for her so she opted to send him a text.
“Hey. Where are we going?” Lilo texted.
“You gotta find out, baby. Just know that you should dress casual and bring a sweater with you,” Oscar responded.
Lilo was still confused and drove home with a small smile on her face. She was really going on a date with a guy that she was falling for, but she didn’t want to jump into it because Lilo didn’t want to jinx anything and have it fall apart early on. When she went home, she saw Cesar standing at the front door with a smirk.
“Mana, I’m gonna help you pick your clothes out,” Cesar smirked.
“Where is he taking me?” Lilo looked at him confused, “please tell me,”
“Can’t tell you,” Cesar smirked, “c’mon, let’s see your wardrobe,”
The two went to her room and Cesar opened her closet to see what clothes she had. He immediately pulled out black ripped skinny jeans, an All That cropped long sleeve, and took down her yellow and white slip-on Vans. Lilo looked at the ensemble and nodded, going into her bathroom to change. A few minutes passed when she was done changing and left to see Cesar looking at her with pride.
“You look great, Lo,” Cesar hugged her, “now let’s tie a hoodie around your waist then you’re all set,”
“Thanks, honey,” Lilo kissed Cesar’s cheek.
The two sat in the living room, playing video games after they were finished with homework until it was time for Oscar to come. Cesar was excited for the two, but it slowly dissipated as time went on and Oscar still wasn’t there because he knew Oscar told everybody to not text or call him for the night. Lilo sat on the couch feeling her heart slowly drop into her stomach and leaving her to feel stupid at thinking the gang leader could possibly have feelings for her.
Cesar smiled sadly at the girl that had been stood up by his brother so he hugged her to go home and see if his brother was at home. When he walked inside he saw Oscar and a few homies playing video games and that’s what set him off.
“Oscar! Lilo was waiting for you! Are you really that stupid that you don’t even know that a woman like Lilo wanted you? Man, I should’ve known. I should’ve told her not to accept your date. More importantly, I should’ve known you would have pulled shit like-” Cesar got cut off by being pinned against the wall by his older brother.
“Cesar, don’t ever disrespect me. This is my house, not yours,” Oscar growled, “I don’t give a fuck about your little best friend. I just wanted to hit and quit, mano,” the homies were laughing until they heard a throat clear.
Oscar turned to see Lilo standing by the doorway with tears trailing down her eyes, “let Cesar go, Spooky. He’s gonna stay with me tonight,”
“Lilo, wait,” Oscar let go of Cesar to go to her, but she put a hand up.
“Don’t. I’m done and I don’t give second chances so you can go fuck yourself,” Lilo cleared her tears and walked to Cesar, “let’s go, Salad. Looks like we got a sleepover,”
The two walked away as Oscar looked at the two walking away and he felt something in his chest so he turned to the gang, “get out,”
“What? Spooky, c’mon, we were just having fun,” Rico stood up.
“I said get out! So leave!” Oscar glared at the gang who scrambled up and made their exit. Once everyone was out, Oscar sat on the couch and sighed before chuckling and letting one tear fall before wiping it away to go to his room.
Meanwhile, the two had went back into the house and one of them had felt like crap for even believing that someone like Oscar would even go for a girl like her. Cesar had felt bad for encouraging her because he thought his brother would’ve changed for Lilo, but evidently he didn’t. When they entered the house, they gathered all the junk food in the house and started watching anything and everything on Netflix except the foreign ones.
Cesar turned to Lilo, “hey, mana. You ok?”
“Yeah, Cesar. I’ll be okay,” Lilo put an arm around Cesar’s shoulder, “I’ll be fine, but don’t pick fights with your brother anymore,”
Cesar nodded and leaned his head on her shoulder.

Spanglish (A Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends FanFiction)
Tumblr media
There were times where Bloo just couldn't understand Eduardo, no matter how hard he genuinely tried.
If it wasn't a joke that translated poorly, ruining the punchline, it was the way Eduardo oftentimes used his native language to butt people out of a conversation he didn't want others listening in on. (Especially him, no fair!) And if it wasn't the millions of rules Spanish required for you to speak it properly, (What do you mean there's four words for car in Spanish?!) it was the way Eduardo belted out Selena Quintanilla lyrics in the shower EVERY morning. (And the only reason Bloo even knew who that lady was, was because Eduardo wouldn't shut up about her!)
In other words, Eduardo was better off using as little Spanish around him as possible.
The problem with that was, either Eduardo didn't get the memo, or he was too stupid to understand it.
It all started one Friday morning, and Imaginary Friends of all shapes and sized were locked in a heated completion of wit; Madame Foster's Friday Morning Breakfast Trivia.
Bloo was on a rather impressive winning streak, in spite of having Eduardo for his team partner (and only because everyone else had already formed their teams), and by the end of breakfast he was so close to victory he could taste it.
But on the last question, the very last question, Eduardo ruined everything.
The big lummox took it upon himself to shout some attempt at an answer in Spanish, and apparently that didn't count, giving some other team the opportunity to answer the question and win the competition.
And like that, victory slipped from Bloo's stubby little hands, leaving him with nothing but the very bitter taste of defeat.
As everyone leaves the dining room to do other things, Bloo stews in his fury and disbelief. Eduardo tries to touch his shoulder as a form of comfort, but he swats it away.
"Nice going, Eduardo!" Bloo shouts, "We were so close, and you just had to blow it! I've had it with you and all your Spanish! Why can't you ever speak some proper English for a change?"
"Lo siento, Azul," he says, shrinking in fear in spite of his larger size, "I know you really wanted to win."
Beyond frustrated, Bloo pinches the space between his eyes and turns away from him.
"Go. Just...just go, Ed."
Eduardo's face falls and tears well up in his eyes, but rather than starting to cry, he simply walks away.
Bloo sighs and turns to leave in the opposite direction, but he's stopped by an enormous Converse sneaker. He looks up to find both Frankie and Wilt looking down at him disapprovingly.
"Bloo, what on Earth was that back there?" Frankie asks, appalled.
"I'm sorry, but I have to agree," Wilt accuses pointedly, "that really wasn't cool."
"What did I do?" the blue blob whines, crossing his arms, "it's not MY fault we lost."
"You think we care about some stupid game of trivia?" Frankie says, "you really hurt Eduardo's feelings, Bloo."
"I don't get it, is all," Bloo argues, "with as long as he's been living here, he should be a lot better at English."
"I remember when Eduardo first moved in," Wilt recalls, defensively, "If you think he's not good at English now, he didn't know a lick of English back then."
"It was really hard to get him to come out of his shell with such a huge language barrier to boot," Frankie says, "Trust us when we say that the English he does speak now is a massive improvement. You should give Eduardo a lot of credit for that; learning a second language is a lot harder than you think."
"Alright, I guess I'll apologize," Bloo scoffs, waving an arm dismissively, "But don't catch me learning any Spanish anytime soon."
Seeing that there was no way to convince the blue blob to change his mindset, Wilt and Frankie shake their heads and go their separate ways. Bloo very quickly forgets about the conversation, as there was another, much more important thing to get ready for: a house-wide picnic at the park.
Everyone somehow manages to squeeze themselves on the bus, and soon they take off to pick up Mac from school, whom luckily enough had a half-day, so he could join in too. (And sleep over for the weekend! Bloo was so excited!)
They stop at the front of the school right as the bell rings. The doors open as a flurry of children run in multitudes of directions. Bloo opens his window near the front of the bus, leaning out to look for Mac in the crowd.
He puts a hand to his mouth and sends out a whistle that flies across the courtyard. A mop of familiar brown hair turns to face him, and he waves as Mac dashes towards the bus.
The boy and his creation crash into each other as the bus doors open and Mac flies through. They laugh and joke as the bus pulls away from the sidewalk and finally begins its journey to the park.
Mac turns in his seat to say hello to his other friends, and notices Eduardo staring out the window solemnly.
"Hey Bloo," he asks, "what's wrong with Eduardo?"
The blue blob turns in the same direction and rolls his eyes. "Don't worry about it, Mac," he says, "He's just being a big baby because I yelled at him a little."
The boy's head snaps around to face him, "Why the heck would you do that, Bloo?"
"I was THIS close," Bloo hisses, pinching two fingers agonizingly close to each other without touching, "to finally winning Madame Foster's Friday Morning Breakfast Trivia, and Eduardo just HAD to shout the final answer in Spanish. We lost, no thanks to him."
"Is that really worth being mad at him though?" Mac questions.
"YES!" Bloo exclaims, grabbing his creator by the front of his shirt, "When the winning prize is first dibs on Madame Foster's monthly batch of chocolate chip muffins!"
"That's no excuse." Mac frowns, "I want you to apologize to him."
"Mac, not you too!" Bloo whines, sagging in his seat.
"Yes, me too," Mac says, crossing his arms.
"You're like the third person to get on my case about it today," Bloo says, "What's so great about Spanish, anyway?"
"That a LOT of people speak it," Mac responds, "In fact, it's the second most spoken language in the United States. Who knows? In the future, there might be more Spanish speakers in the U.S. than English."
"Great, just what I need," Bloo groans, "MORE Spanish."
"If you took at least some time out of your day to acknowledge that the world doesn't revolve around you," Mac says,"You'll realize that Spanish isn't as bad as you think it is. You could even learn a thing or two from it."
An idea seems to pop into the boy's head.
"That reminds me!" Mac takes off his backpack to open it and dig through it's contents. He takes out a sheet of paper with lots of writing on it, the most prolific mark on it being a bright red A+. He leans over the edge of his seat to wave the paper in front of Eduardo.
"Hey Eduardo, I aced that Spanish test!" Mac says," Thanks SO much for helping me study; I would've flunked hard if it weren't for you."
Hearing that seems to cheer Eduardo up, because he starts grinning from ear to ear.
"Maravilloso!" Eduardo smiles, "I knew you could do it!"
"What'd I tell you, Mac?" Frankie calls to him from the driver's seat, "Eduardo is THE go-to guy for help in Spanish. I swear, I probably would have had to repeat the 11th grade if it weren't for him."
Seeing Eduardo smiling again is enough for Mac to sit back down in his seat.
"I still want you to apologize," Mac whispers to Bloo, stuffing his test back into his backpack, "sometime TODAY, please."
"Fine! I'm gonna!" Bloo whines, "Just quit nagging me about it."
Soon enough, the bus reaches its destination. All sorts of Imaginary Friends run off into their favored friend groups and enjoy all sorts of lawn games and delicious food. Bloo decides to spend most of that time with Mac, catching frogs and turtles by the edge of the pond and starting a massive water balloon fight, to Mr. Herriman's chagrin. Almost instantly, the morning's troubles seemed to just disappear from his mind.
The hours seem to fly by, and pretty soon it was almost time to pack up and go home.
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
The blue blob hesitates from stuffing an entire slice of pie into his mouth.
"Am I? What?" he asks.
"I thought you were going to apologize to Eduardo." says Mac, drinking from a can of soda (sugar free, of course), "You can do it right now. He's right over there, see?"
Bloo turns around to find Eduardo picking flowers a ways across the field underneath a large tree, without a care in the world.
"Why do I still have to apologize?" Bloo asks, "He probably forgot all about it by now."
"Because it's the right thing to do," Mac responds, crossing his arms, "You don't even need to make a big scene out of it. Just go over there, apologize, and be done with it. Admitting you were wrong isn't the end of the - "
Mac stops. He seems to notice something going on across the field.
"Who's that man over there with Eduardo?"
Bloo turns back around to find out what Mac meant. Sure enough, some strange man was standing underneath the tree with Eduardo. The conversation seemed to be going fine at first, but it suddenly takes a turn.
The man takes an aggressive stance, and soon enough, he's practically yelling so loud that everyone around them could hear it. While Bloo was too far away to decipher what was being said, it was quite clear that it wasn't anything nice.
Eduardo's reaction is immediate. He recoils in fear and clings to the tree like his life depended on it, digging into the trunk so hard bits of bark were chipping off. The man somehow takes this as an opportunity to step even closer to the Imaginary Friend and shout at him some more.
By this point Eduardo's crying, completely terrified of the man attacking him. Even though he was more than strong enough to beat the guy into next week, it was never in his nature.
So instead, he cries loud enough for everyone to hear:
"¡Déjame en paz!"
Oh no. This was bad.
Eduardo's English was clumsy at best on a good day, but everyone at Foster's knew that all comprehension of the English language just seemed to fly out the window whenever he was extremely upset. Nobody could really figure out why, but it was as if his brain simply refused to process any English whatsoever whenever he was like this.
Seeing it on full display was an awful sight. And it only seemed to make the man verbally assaulting him even angrier.
Bloo had seen enough.
Before he even knows what he's doing, and before anyone at the picnic table can stop him, he jumps from his seat and sprints across the field, without even realizing he still had the pie in his hand.
Getting closer to the confrontation, Bloo is able to hear some of what the man was yelling at Eduardo.
"I've had it with these illegal aliens; crossing the border, stealing our jobs." the man shouts, "And then their little anchor babies create Imaginary freaks like you than can't speak any English! This country's gone to the pits because of people like you!"
Bloo reaches the tree and steps in between the man and Eduardo, preventing the stranger from getting any closer.
"Hey pal!" Bloo shouts, pointing up at the man's chest, "What part of 'leave him alone' can't you understand?"
The man looks down at him dismissively. "You're his friend?" He asks, "I doubt it if he can't speak any English."
"Yes I am," the blue blob replies, defensively, "And while he isn't the best at English, he definitely tries his best! Meanwhile the only thing you seem to be fluent in is Bigoted and Stupid!"
The man's face scrunches up into a grimace.
"Great, look at what YOU'VE caused," the man says to Eduardo, who hides behind the tree even further,"if you just spoke some English like I asked, we wouldn't of had to drag other people into this!"
"You want some English?" Bloo asks, "Here's some English for ya: BACK OFF!"
Bloo kicks the man's shin as hard as he can. The man drops to one knee in pain, holding his already bruising shin with one hand, reaching for the blue blob with the other.
"Why you little - "
Bloo throws his pie right into the man's face, the force causing him to fall over onto his side, dazed, confused and out for the count.
Breathing heavily due to the adrenaline, Bloo stands over the man for a moment or two. Remembering who he was here for, he turns around to face Eduardo.
The larger Imaginary Friend is shaking in his boots, but at least he's let go of the tree. They stare at each other for a moment, the both of them still shell-shocked from the situation that just happened.
Bloo is the first to snap out of it. He crosses the distance between them and grabs Eduardo by the wrist, tugging him along gently. Eduardo doesn't resist, but remains silent as they walk away.
"C'mon, Ed. Let's get out of here."
The bus ride home is eerily silent. Nobody says a word to each other even as they arrive home, eat dinner, and get ready for bed.
Bloo feels a pit in his stomach as he brushes his teeth that night. Ever since it happened, the events of that afternoon were repeating itself in his mind, and it only made him feel worse. Bloo really didn't get why; he had done a good thing, so why did he still feel bad about it?
Why can't you ever speak some proper English for a change?
Oh yeah. That.
"I really screwed up today, didn't I?"
Mac takes his toothbrush out of his mouth and looks at him questioningly.
"I don't think Mr. Herriman is mad at you for what happened at the picnic." he says,"Everyone saw what happened."
"That's not what I'm talking about," Bloo sighs,"This morning, I was really close to sounding a lot like that jerk at the park, and I guess I realize now why you guys were upset with me."
He looks down into the drain of the sink.
"How on earth can I make it up to Ed?"
"Giving that racist a taste of his own medicine and getting Eduardo out of there was a pretty good start," Mac replies, "But I think we both know how you can fix this."
Mac jumps down from the sink and walks out of the bathroom.
"See you in the morning."
Bloo stares at himself in the mirror for a long time, realizing what Mac was saying. He hated it when Mac was right.
Walking into his room he finds that everyone else looked like they were already in bed. Bloo sighs; maybe he had waited too long to apologize. He climbs into bed and looks up at the bent mattress that Eduardo was laying on. So many thoughts were buzzing in his mind he feels like he was never going to get any sleep unless he tries saying something. Better now than never, right?
"Hey, Eduardo?" Bloo whispers, "You still awake?"
It's silent for a long moment, and Bloo begins to think that Eduardo was already asleep, but then the mattress creaks as the weight on it shifts a little.
"Si." Eduardo says.
"Look, about this morning..." Bloo starts, but falters, trying to figure out his words.
"I...I'm..."
He sighs, frustrated. Just spit it out already!
"Lo siento."
Bloo is taken aback by his own words. Did he just apologize in Spanish? That probably meant a lot more coming from him, considering everything that's happened today.
The room once more falls into silence. Bloo starts to wonder if the words he's said were too little, too late.
Suddenly, a large shape reaches down into Bloo's bed and grabs hold of him, yanking him up...
...into a great big hug!
Bloo feels like he's being squeezed so hard that his soul is leaving his body.
"Too tight, Ed, too tight!" the blue blob chokes, frantically tapping the larger Friend's arm. Thankfully, Eduardo loosens up and Bloo gasps a large breath of air.
"Aw jeez, Eduardo," he groans, "Enough with the waterworks, you're gonna get me all wet!"
"I wanted to say gracias," Eduardo sniffs, "Thank you for getting that mean man to go away."
"I had to make it up to you somehow," Bloo says, "You probably have to deal with enough jerks like that just for speaking Spanish. The last thing you need is crap like that from your own friends. Those muffins weren't worth being mad at you like that. They go stale after like one day anyways."
"You es a bueno amigo," Eduardo laughs, "When you es not a big meanie that es."
"What can I say?" Bloo smirks, "I'm the jerk of this friend group, nobody else! So if someone bothers you like that again, tell me, alright? I'll kick 'em into next week!"
Eduardo squeezes him again a little too tight for comfort, but Bloo decided not to complain. Eduardo had been though enough for one day; it wouldn't hurt to at least let him have this.
Bloo came to realize that while he might never fully understand Eduardo at times, he knew now that sometimes, friendship didn't need a language.
Perhaps, that's what made theirs so great.

On one freezing winter's day in Beach City, snow began to fall from the sky at Little Homeworld, marking another snow day for many of the Gems living there and the first for those just joining Little Homeschool, including one Gem in particular.
"Hey, what's with all this white stuff that's got so many Gems excited?" Teal Zircon wondered, reaching out to try and grab some snowflakes in her hands. Unfortunately for her, the snowflakes instantly melted with her touch. "Aw!"
"That's what they call snow TZ." Little Larimar informed her fellow corruption victim as she helped Snowflake Obsidian build an igloo. "It's what happens what water in the clouds gets super cold and drops from the sky like rain. It's where Snowflake here gets her name from."
"Hey, snowball fight!" Snowflake cried out as she bundled together a large amount of snow to make into a snowball, and she tossed it straight at Teal Zircon. "Oh my gosh, are you okay?"
"Okay?" Teal asked as she slowly emerged from the giant snowball. "I'm better than okay!" She then began to form a snowball of her own from Snowflake's snow to make hers. "I wanna fight!"
Unfortunately, TZ's snowball was incredibly poorly made and fell apart when she threw it.
"Come along; I'll show you how to make a good snowball." Larimar said to the Zircon. "But in the meantime, I have my own battles to fight."
Larimar picked up some snow of her own to form into projectiles, and manically tossed them everywhere with a creepy grin on her face. "YES! YES, TREMBLE BEFORE MY SUPERIOR THROWING SKILLS!"
--
Elsewhere, Steven woke up from a good night's sleep and turned off the alarm on his phone. "All right, Little Homeschool, what's on the itinerary today?" he muttered while picking up his phone and examining the schedules he had lined up. "Let's see, Gem-Teacher Association meeting this evening from 4:00 to 5:00, clinic tomorrow at 3:00, interpretive dance class today at noon; might have to find someone to cover for me there, baseball practice tomorrow morning and volleyball game next week."
After reading off the schedule, Steven gave himself a good stretch before getting out of bed. "You can do it!"
After getting dressed and heading downstairs, Steven immediately got to work on preparing for his day by pouring some water when Amethyst came strolling in with fried eggs over her eyes.
"You really gonna skip the most egg-ssential meal of the day?" Amethyst cracked a pun while pointing to the eggs.
"Of course not." Steven stated, barely even noticing her joke. "I've got all the nutrients I need in my protein shake."
As Steven walked away, Amethyst sadly poked at the yolks on her face. "Dude, you're making me sad."
"Steven," Garnet called with a backpack shaped like a cheeseburger in her hands. "I packed everything you need for today in your old cheeseburger backpack."
"Uh, I don't really need that thing anymore." Steven abstained from taking his childhood bag while presenting the satchel he packed. "Besides, I already got one."
"At least pet this cat." Garnet replied, cuing her one-eyed Calico Cat Steven to emerge from the backpack with a meow.
"Why was I going to need-" Steven began getting more miffed before stopping himself. "Never mind, I gotta go."
"Hold it!" Pearl stopped Steven in his tracks while gazing at her phone. "According to my weather application, we're expecting quite a bit of snow today and tomorrow." She revealed while showing the current temperature off and held out some winter clothes to put on him. "You're going to freeze if you don't put on a puffer, a hat and two scarves. Okay, maybe three would do."
"Pearl, I need to go!" Steven muffled beneath the scarves, preventing Pearl from wrapping a third one around his neck.
"But classes don't start for another couple of hours." Pearl said.
"Wait for us." Garnet suggested as she took the scarf from Pearl and wrapped it on her neck. "We can come with you."
"Why even take that old Dondai when you can just use the Warp Pad?" Amethyst pointed out as she slurped the eggs off her face.
"Because I have errands I need to run before class." Steven revealed. "Now then, can I please go now?"
"You got it." Garnet beamed before putting a hand in Steven's hair. "Go get 'em, champ."
"Yeah, see you soon!" Amethyst and Pearl said in unison while putting their hands in Steven's hair as well, much to his chagrin.
As Steven finally left the beach house and drove away, the Gems took a few moments to talk as they gazed out the frosted window.
"Hey guys, you think Steven's become kinda boring lately?" Amethyst asked Garnet and Pearl.
"It must be because he's got so much to do." Pearl suggested morosely. "How about we surprise him when he gets back?"
"I think I know just what to do." Garnet stated coolly.
--
One of Steven's errands took him all the way to Little Homeworld. What he was unaware of, however, was the massive snowball fight its inhabitants were waging, and now he was going to be caught in the crossfires.
Upon stopping his car and setting a foot outside, Steven was immediately pelted with snow from all sides. "Whoa guys, settle down!" he cried out while protecting himself from the cold onslaught with his shield. "I said, settle down!"
However, not a one was paying attention to Steven, and they were too busy having fun to notice he had arrived.
"Uh, can I have your attention please? Anyone?" Steven began getting more desperate for someone to notice him while watching Lapis heave an entire pyramid of snowballs with her water powers at a few of the Quartzes, which gave him an idea. "Okay, you all tried my hand."
Steven picked up some snow of his own and formed it into a ball of his own, which he used to throw straight at Snowflake Obsidian.
"Ooh!" Snowflake grunted as she felt the snowball hit her back, and turned to discover that Steven had thrown it. "Steven! Sorry, I didn't see you there."
"Just wanted to get someone's attention." Steven admitted before Snowflake turned to her fellow Gems.
"Hey everyone, Steven's here! Let's get to class!" Snowflake announced.
The moment everyone else realized Steven had come, they slowly stopped their snowball fight and began preparing for classes.
"Hey, you don't need to stop what you're doing." Steven tried convincing them otherwise. "I'm only here for a few errands. Besides, classes don't start for another few hours."
However, nobody listened to Steven, and they continued preparing, just as he decided to continue on with his errands.
--
That night, Steven had finally returned home after a long day and was ready to eat dinner, go to bed and prepare for tomorrow. But when he turned on the house lights, he found his three guardians all sitting on the couch, anticipating his return.
"Surprise!" the three Gems cheered.
"We were sitting in the dark!" Amethyst admitted in addition.
"Hey, everyone." Steven greeted the trio. "Uh, what are you all so excited about?"
"Guess what we got lined up for tonight?" Amethyst said, holding a DVD in her hands. "Pupcopter's Sky-High Adventure!"
"Sheet masks with cute animal faces!" Pearl added, demonstrating the masks by putting a panda one on her face.
"And most importantly, pizza." Garnet declared as she opened up a pizza box with a pie inside. "Straight from Fish Stew."
When the Gems expected Steven to be all over these activities, he was a bit more reluctant. "Uh guys," Steven said. "I've been a vegetarian for six months, Pupcopter is for six-year-olds, and I got a skincare routine now. You all should've known by now. Anyways, I already ate, but it's cool you want to have fun. Later."
Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl were left disappointed as Steven walked upstairs to his room.
"Well, guess we can watch the movie with Cat Steven, if that counts." Amethyst said.
"My bad." Garnet apologized as she examined the pizza and then dumped it in Amethyst's mouth like the smaller Gem was a trashcan. "I thought we were in the pepperoni timeline."
--
The next morning, Steven was woken up by his phone once again. When he raced down the stairs to start his day, the Gems were sitting around the table with waffles covered in whipped cream, syrup, popcorn, and a strawberry on top.
"Look Steven, Together Breakfast!" Pearl called to Steven, in an attempt to bring his attention to a familiar food. "Just like old times."
"Too much sugar for me, but thanks." Steven hurriedly stated as he opened the front door. "See you at work guys!" But surprisingly for Steven, a massive pile of snow dropped down on him. "Okay, just gotta take the warp then."
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Amethyst cautioned Steven as he made his way to the Warp Pad, and just like the door, he was greeted by snow covering him from head to toe by the warp tunnel.
"Looks like we have to cancel Little Homeschool for the day." Steven realized. "Pearl, can you send everyone a mass text?"
"Already on it!" Pearl declared as she whipped out her phone to give everyone at the Gem village the news.
"Hold up!" Amethyst yelped. "Are you basically saying we get the day off?"
"Great, we can re-read No Home Boys!" Pearl replied, excitedly looking up from her phone.
"And I can do the voices again." Garnet added.
"No, I don't need anyone reading to me right now." Steven said firmly while taking out a notebook. "If anything, I need to get the calendar organized. This snow-mageddon is definitely going to put a damper on third-quarter plans."
As Steven got out his calendar, some post-it notes, and a pen to organize plans for Little Homeschool's third quarter, Amethyst sat down at the same table he was working at across from him. "You used to have a better work ethic when we were constantly at risk of Homeworld and the Diamonds attacking Earth." Amethyst remarked. "Now, with Era 3 in full swing, you've become kinda boring."
"That was then Amethyst. This is now." Steven responded without even looking up from his work. "And what makes you think I'm getting boring?"
"Well, I mean, you didn't eat Together Breakfast with us, didn't laugh at my egg pun yesterday, and didn't want to put on your cheeseburger backpack." Amethyst listed off. "I get that you want to be more responsible now, but sometimes it's fun reliving old memories." Suddenly, a great idea flickered to life over the purple Gem's head. "Hey, you know what we haven't played in ages?"
"I don't know, what?" Steven asked before Amethyst abruptly shapeshifted into his 14-year old self and jumped onto the table.
"STEVEN TAG!" the now Steven-like Amethyst yelled and attempted to tag Steven, much to his alarm.
"Amethyst, what the heck?!" Steven cried out.
"You know the rules buster!" Amethyst cackled. "You get tagged; you have to turn into Steven! Or, in this case, Classic Steven!"
"Wait, Classic Steven?!" Steven said incredulously before he started running from the pursuing Amethyst all around the living room. But even when Steven rushed into the bathroom for safety, Amethyst was still on the hunt.
"Steeeeveeeen, come out to plaaaaay!" Amethyst laughed as she began clacking glass bottles together. "I always wanted to reference that old movie."
"I'm not playing!" Steven insisted as he blocked up the bottom of the door with a towel and sat on it. "Don't you have anything better to do?"
"Dangit, got me with the towel one-two!" Amethyst groaned as she failed to break into the bathroom. "Fine, maybe we don't always need Steven to play Steven Tag."
As Amethyst seemingly walked away in defeat, Steven peeked out of the bathroom to check if she was truly gone. While he sneaked out into the living room hoping to get some work done, Steven instead found Garnet looking around on the floor.
"Hey Garnet, lose something?" Steven asked the perma-fusion.
"I've been looking for Cat Steven." Garnet answered. "Haven't seen her all morning. I think she may be in the cabinets."
"Like, in here?" Steven asked as he pointed to one of the cupboards.
"That's the one." Garnet cheekily replied while she held Cat Steven in her arms. As Steven opened the cabinet, Amethyst leaped out at him, still in the shape of Classic Steven.
"GET READY FOR STEVEN TAG!" Amethyst yelled in another attempt to tag Steven, but she instead tagged Garnet by accident.
"What an unexpected turn of events." Garnet flatly declared as she laid on the floor, and obediently turned into Classic Steven as well. The two Gems stared menacingly at Steven, who was trying fruitlessly to escape.
"Uh, see ya guys!" Steven stuttered before making a run for it, but then accidentally tripped on a pillow. As Garnet and Amethyst leaped up and prepared to tag him, Steven prepared a bubble to protect himself from them.
"You can't hide in there forever!" Garnet yelled as she prepared to break the bubble open with a punch. Thinking quickly, Steven got up and began running towards the temple gate, accessing the cloud-like room that his mother once used when she was alive, and tossed the pair inside before making his way out.
"That should keep you guys busy for a while." Steven huffed as the door closed behind him, and he returned to the calendar on the table. "Now I can finally get these schedules done in peace."
However, Steven was quickly proven wrong as Garnet raced out of the nearly empty Burning Room, with Amethyst in hot pursuit.
--
"Thank you so much for helping me shovel off the snow Lapis." Pearl thanked Lapis at Little Homeworld as they finished work on cleaning all the walkways.
"No big Pearl, it's just frozen water." Lapis remarked coolly. "Anyways, how's everyone doing back at your place?"
"Well, Steven said he wanted to get some scheduling done for Quarter Three with all this snow, and-" Pearl answered, but then felt a disturbance somewhere. "I feel like my Steven Sense is tingling."
"Your Steven what-now?" Lapis asked with an eyebrow raised. "I get that you're essentially a mom to Steven, but what's that for?"
"Feels like something's happening back home." Pearl realized as she marched back to the Warp Pad with snow shovel in hand. "Anyways, thanks for the assistance; I'll see you all again soon!" she said her farewells before the Warp Pad took her back to the temple.
--
When Pearl returned home, she found Steven in a panic as he was being chased by Garnet and Amethyst shapeshifted into him. "Steven, what are you doing? Has cabin fever took you over already?!"
"It's Garnet and Amethyst!" Steven answered hastily as he continued running from the aforementioned Gems. "They're only playing Steven Tag to mess with me!"
"Steven Tag?" Pearl began to reminisce. "That sure takes me back to the old days. I'm sure they-AH!"
Before Pearl could finish, Garnet officially tagged her, and she began to keel over.
"Ha, the joke's on you!" Steven yelled. "Pearl doesn't like to shapeshift!"
Unfortunately for Steven, he was instantly proven otherwise as Pearl began to glow, and her shape changed into that of Classic Steven.
"The power of Steven Tag COMPELS ME!" the now Steven-esque Pearl declared, sparking delight from her fellow veteran Gems as they giggled and tossed her into the air.
"Wow, good for her." Steven chuckled, just as proud of this big step for Pearl. But when the three Gems all leered at their ward, Steven finally realized how outnumbered he now was.
The Steven-resembling Crystal Gems chased the prime Steven all around the house, from his bedroom, to the conservatory, to the stairway, and then back to his room. In his bedroom, Steven thought of a way to distract Pearl by tossing his old shirts on the floor.
"No Steven, I just folded those!" Pearl yelled as her motherly intuition began to take priority over playing, and she tided up the shirts as Steven fled.
With no other option, Steven was forced to flee into the freezing cold outside, his body temperature be damned. "They can't hold those forms forever." He panted. "I'll just wait until they give u-"
Just then, a massive fist dropped from above and smashed the snow behind Steven, and he discovered none other than Sugilite, the fusion of Garnet & Amethyst, standing on a cliff above him.
"Missed me little man?" Sugilite, also in the shape of the younger Steven, asked confidently as she whipped her flail above her head.
"Wait, you fused?" Steven gasped and began running again. "When was the last time anyone has seen Sugilite?!"
"Come back here, kid!" Sugilite snarled eagerly while Steven used his shield as a sled to escape.
"Seriously, this is dangerous!" Steven panted before he was barraged by a rain of snowballs, all courtesy of an also Classic Steven-like Sardonyx.
"Aw come on, don't be so cold!" Sardonyx joked before preparing more snowballs. "Now stay still, I got you in my sights!"
"I'm still not playing!" Steven shouted as he swerved his shield away from the snowballs, only to lose control and disappear behind the temple's discarded hand.
High above on the rooftop, Opal stood ready to fire Garnet with her bow. "Target acquired!" she exclaimed, pointing the other Universe-looking fusion at a figure resembling Steven. "Now!"
When Garnet was propelled at what she thought was Steven, it was instead a snowman wearing his jacket. "Curses, foiled by a snowman." Garnet overdramatically declared, followed by a very monotonous "Noooooooo."
Faraway from Garnet and Opal, Steven was finally free after distracting them with the snowman, but he was very cold too.
"They won't stop until they make me play." Steven declared boldly, that is until a massive shadow loomed over him. Just like all the other times before, it was a fusion taking the form of his younger self. But this time, it was Alexandrite. "Oh geez!"
"You're looking cold." Alexandrite boomed before launching a giant fireball from her mouth at a panicking Steven, who formed a bubble to shield himself from the fire.
"I really didn't want to do this, but you all forced my hand!" Steven shouted while the bubble disappeared, leaving him surrounded by a ring of fire. "I'll play your game!"
Alexandrite grinned eagerly as Steven leaped to her head and bounced off it to the beach house. The massive three-Gem fusion attempted to catch Steven in her hands, but he quickly dodged the attempt and just as quickly tried ascending to the top of the lighthouse.
"There's no way she can catch me!" Steven said to himself just as Alexandrite made it before him and un-fused into Ruby, Sapphire, Amethyst and Pearl. Everyone except for Sapphire proceeded to bombard Steven, but he had just about had it as he leaped towards the three Gems with bubbles forming around his fists.
"ENOUGH, IS, ENOUGH!" Steven yelled as he punched Ruby, Amethyst and Pearl away in rapid succession, and then leaped up to the top of the lighthouse in triumph. "You shouldn't have messed with me." He said menacingly, just as he realized he forgot a Gem.
"Tag." Sapphire declared as she snuck up and tagged Steven from behind, ending the game and sealing her as the victor.
"OH NO, IS THIS THE END OF MY ADULT LIFE?!" Steven cried as he fell off the lighthouse onto the ground below. Back on solid earth, Ruby, Amethyst & Pearl checked on Steven while Sapphire returned downstairs to meet them.
"Sapphire, you did it! You're the best!" Ruby cheered for her blue bride before they kissed and fused back into Garnet.
"You've been tagged." Garnet confidently stated.
"You gotta turn into widdle ol' Steven now!" Amethyst jokingly taunted.
"You did set the rules all those years ago." Pearl added.
"No!" Steven refused with a fold of his arms.
"DO IT, DO IT, DO IT!" the Gems chanted excitedly. Cat Steven suddenly appeared to agree with them with a meow.
"Et tu Cat Steven?" Steven asked his feline friend, who responded with another meow. "Okay, I'll do it!"
Then, in a flash of light, Steven reluctantly turned himself into a child to match his guardians, to the point where his clothes barely fit him anymore. And they were happy.
"HE'S SO CUTE!" Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl cooed at the younger Steven, to his disappointment.
"No, I'm not!" Steven yelled, his voice now matching his current state. "It's tough for me, y'know? I feel like no matter how much I grow, how much I try to mature, you'll always just see me as a little kid."
"Buddy, we just wanted to spend time with you." Amethyst shrugged.
"Yeah." Pearl agreed with Amethyst. "Just like when you were-"
"A kid?" Steven finished for Pearl, eliciting many frowns. "I really didn't want to disappoint you guys, but I'm not the Steven you babied so much anymore." He proclaimed while returning to his original form. "Please, I need you to see me for who I am now."
This prompted the Gems to tear up and finally hug Steven. "Please forgive us." Garnet sobbed.
"We didn't mean to hurt your feelings!" Amethyst said just as sadly. "We didn't realize we were kinda acting like kids too."
"We just miss you Steven!" Pearl said. Soon, Steven began to cry as well as he looked down at the sad Gems.
"We're sorry!" the trio apologized in unison.
"I missed you guys too." Steven accepted the apology while the chilly weather began to take effect on him. "You know, it was pretty nice to spend time with y-ACHOO!" Without even being asked, Amethyst extended her arm to fetch Steven's pink jacket for him. "Thanks Amethyst."
"Steven, we're very proud of the person you've become." Garnet complimented her ward.
"Yeah, that's why we wanted to hang out with you so much." Amethyst stated.
"But if you want to go back to work," Pearl added. "That's okay with us."
"Well, I can't." Steven answered confidently as he put his jacket back on. "Because TAG!" he added by tackling Garnet. "You're it!"
"I guess we have to update the game." Garnet realized before transforming to match Steven's age. "To this."
And so, Steven Tag began anew with Steven and Garnet chasing Amethyst and Pearl down the mountain.
--
The next morning, Steven woke up once again. But this time, he was feeling more cheerful and had the Gems by his side.
With his winter clothes on, Steven hopped into the car with the Crystal Gems, also in winter gear over their regular forms, and they shared a laugh until the car set off for Little Homeworld.
--
So ends Snow Day. We're getting very close to the end of Part 1, and next up is my favorite episode of Future, Why so Blue, too. But after Why so Blue, things will start to get a little different. Perhaps pertaining to a certain Off-Color fusion between a Ruby and a Pearl, or the mystery Gem we've been foreshadowing since Cracks and Buds. Anyways, Happy New Year readers and see you next week!

You had decided to rebel your brother’s orders and walked straight out of that god-forsaken house once again. You were bored and there was only so much sewing you could do. You decided you were going to do something useful. So you found yourself at Tommy’s factory, walking in as if you owned the place. No one was there though, because of the strikes. One look at his secretary, who was going to stop you from getting any further, backed down as soon as he saw who you were. Not bothering to knock on the door, you just walked into Tommy’s conference room. You didn’t say a word when you entered, and Tommy briefly looked up and doing a double take. “What are you doing here y/n?” He sighed, resuming his work on the long table in front of him. “I got bored sitting around doing nothing so I decided to see if you needed any help.” You said, perching yourself onto the table top. “You know, with the strikes and all.” You shrugged your shoulders and smirked, making Tommy roll his eyes. You had warned him about the restlessness of his workers, but he pushed the subject away.
“Well, there’s nothing I can give you, so why don’t you start heading home. I’ll call a car.” He said standing up, the scraping of his chair as he stood making you cringe. “This is starting to get annoying, you know, you underestimating me.” You seethed. “It’s only because I’m your older brother and I’m trying to protect you.” He mumbled, rubbing his forehead in frustration. “More like control me.” You mutter, looking away from him.
A knock on the glass door cuts the silent tension. “Come in.” Tommy said. His secretary walks in slowly, sensing the tension. “I did say this would happen.” He boldly said, gesturing towards the empty factory.  “Who’s next?” Tommy asked, ignoring the comment. “Erm... he’s a delegate from the European Council for Trade.” He said, looking at his clipboard. “He’s here to talk about the import of car parts to France.” “Right.” Tommy sighed. “He’s come all the way from Paris.” He added. “But, given the circumstances, I can send him away.” Tommy gave him a look. “Given what circumstances? Send him in.” The secretary hesitantly nodded his head before going to retrieve the client.
When he left, Tommy gave you a look and you just rolled your eyes. “I’m staying, you can’t make me leave.” You said definitely, moving down the table to sit in his chair he previously occupied. Tommy threw his pen down and started to rub his eyes in irritation. A lot was going on for him and you weren’t helping him. He composed himself properly when the secretary returned, the client in tow. But what you weren’t expecting was to see Luca Changretta walking into a Shelby Limited business room. It was evident on your face that you were shocked, and as soon as he saw you, a little smirk appeared on his lips. “Mr Shelby, this is Monsieur Paz, from Paris.” The secretary announced, and you quickly concealed your stunned face, wary of your brother who was stood next to you. Looking up to your brother, he looked wary of the unfamiliar man.
When the door was shut and it was just the three of you, Luca spoke up.  “I heard you had trouble. It’s good of you to see me.” He said, putting his hands in his pockets. “You just came from Paris, eh?” Tommy asked, knowing that this man was not who he said he was. Luca knew he was testing him. He unbuttoned his jacket and sat down on the chair next to him. This made you directly opposite him, making you nervous but reminding you of your past encounter with the Italian. “You know Paris?” “I left Paris in a cattle truck.” Tommy replied. Luca leaned back, closing his hands together in a somewhat prayer gesture. “They said you were French.” “No, I came here from Paris. That does not mean I’m French.” Luca smirked, taking a quick glance at you. When he looked back at Tommy, he leaned forward menacingly. “Guess where I’m from.”
That was when Tommy knew. He went to the side of him where his coat was and pulled out a cigarette box. “Well in my cattle truck in Paris there were American soldiers.” He pops one of the sticks in his mouth. “We played cards.” Reaches out for a lighter and brings it up to the cigarette.”They sound like you.” He said, gesturing with the lit cig. You watched Luca carefully as he pulled out a wooden stick again, taking your mind back to when you met him in the stables. “Ah. Did you win?” You knew that this was a dangerous game they were playing with each other, and you were in the middle of it. “You didn’t come on a train.” Tommy observed, ignoring the latter question. “Your suit is pressed, your shoes are clean. Where do you get your suits made?” “I have a tailor,” Luca left the stick in his mouth as he continued. “in New York City. Look.” He holds the jacket open as if he was the king of a jungle showing it’s subjects what he has and they don’t. “Fenacci. Italian. He’s my Uncle. He makes suits in a basement in Mott Street. He is my uncle, so every stitch is stitched with blood.”
Tommy looked at him with disinterest, but you were sitting back with your arms crossed in amusement. As he fiddle with the stick, Luca’s strong glare was on you now, despite his conversation was directly at Tommy. “I heard you dress well, Mr Shelby. But now I see... not so well as me.” You scoffed, making Tommy glance at you from the corner of his eyes. “Your sister, however, seems to have the spot just right.” You face showed that you were unfazed by his comment, but deep down, your stomach was churning in a taboo excitement.
Tommy certainly didn’t appreciate that comment and stared the man down for a good ten seconds before speaking again. “You know, I have uncles as well, but they’re not the sort of men who would, uh... who would work in a basement with a needle and thread... Mr Changretta.” Luca finally looked back at Tommy with the stick in his hand. “I am surprised how easy it was to get into a room with you.” He said, and Tommy didn’t hesitate to grab his gun from the coat hanger, cock it and aim. “And now?” Tommy challenged. Luca held his hands up in surrender. “And now...” But put his arms back down. “And now you should know that during the trouble you had earlier on your factory floor, I sent an accomplice into your office in overalls.” His tone had become low and dangerous. “He found your gun...” He reached into his inside pocket and dropped bullets into his other hand. “And unloaded.
Tommy was quick to check his gun and it was indeed empty. Luca preceded to put one bullet down. “Arthur Shelby.” Another bullet. “Polly Gray.” Another bullet. “Michael Gray.” Another bullet. “John Shelby...” But this time, knocked it over and flicked down the table, landing just at Tommy’s paperwork in front of you. “...spent.” Another bullet. “Ada Thorne.” Another bullet. “And finally... Tommy Shelby.” It didn’t go amiss that your name wasn't mentioned, and Tommy glanced down at you in worry. Luca stood and whispered in his thick accent. “None of you will survive.” He walked over to the window and glanced out of it, down into the absent factory. “Your level of security is pitiful and we are an organization of a different dimension.” He looked back at Tommy and started to walk towards him. “I could have killed you when I walked through the door. But you see, I want you to be the last. I want you to be alive after your entire family is dead, cos my mother says that is what’ll hurt you the most.” He said with a pointed finger.
“You people have traditions of honor. As do we. Instead of sending you a black hand, I could have had you killed in the night without knowing why.” He begins his stride towards Tommy and you again. “But I want you to know why.” He whispered intensely. “And I want to suggest to you that we fight this vendetta with honor.” Tommy paused for a moment, before putting his gun down on the table and facing back to the man. “No civilians. No children.” He said. “No police.” Luca reminded. “Welcome to Birmingham, Mr Changretta.” “Grazie.” Luca nodded. He looked down at you and nodded his head curtly, before sending one final nod at his enemy and striding out.

Ep 15 Transcript: Press Q for War Crimes
Episode 15
[intro music]
PAZ: Hi everyone, welcome back to Stairway to StarClan, a Warriors Cat reread pawdcast. I'm Paz.
JULIAN: I'm Julian.
LIZ: And I'm Liz.
PAZ: And we are here for our mega finale episode, totally intended to be huge not because of bad chapter planning. But yeah, we've finished Fire and Ice and a second full Warriors book.
LIZ: Yay.
JULIAN: Hell yeah.
PAZ: Yeah, exciting. But we're gonna split the discussion up into two parts today because it's really long. So that's the plan. Sorry, I noticed this while I was reading this book in the car today. This review on the back cover, I just wanna read it out for everyone.
JULIAN: Please do.
PAZ: "A suspenseful animal adventure that will leave readers eyeing Puss a little nervously." From the Kirkus Reviews. Thank you, Kirkus Reviews.
JULIAN: Oh my god.
PAZ: This book is like what if my cat's plotting to murder me? You never know. Oh, I feel like I have to give my cat a shoutout for his warrior spirit because he caught three mice within 24 hours.
LIZ: What?
PAZ: Recently, very proud of him.
JULIAN: I'm so proud of him.
LIZ: When did the third one happen?
PAZ: The third one, it happened this morning, I think.
LIZ: Wow.
JULIAN: He's so fierce.
PAZ: He's so fierce, and a great hunter, and he has a bell collar on.
JULIAN: Damn.
PAZ: So he's like fucking Rock Lee. If we ever took that off...
LIZ: He learned how to be a warrior around them. It's like when they do the montage with the fight guys, and they have to have the big weights on them.
PAZ: Yeah, Rock Lee.
LIZ: Is that... well, I don't know. I've never Narutoed.
PAZ: Oh my gosh. Do I have to go send you the Rock Lee weight scene? I'll do that after.
LIZ: All right, join us for season three when we watch Naruto and only that video.
PAZ: I read so much Naruto. I just forget that sometimes. Okay, anyway, let's talk about Warriors, I guess. Anyone have anything else to add before the summaries?
JULIAN: Doozy of a chapter chunk.
LIZ: We're going to get to that part in the first summaries, but I gasped out loud at one thing. Just like holding my little ereader phone, just like [gasps].
PAZ: Yes, there is a very dramatic reveal. Although I knew it, so it wasn't as dramatic for me. But glad to hear that first impression reaction. Let's start off with these chapter summaries, breaking off from when Brokenstar's polycule attacks ThunderClan. Chapter 26, Brokenstar attacks ThunderClan. While Fireheart, Yellowfang, the apprentices and the queens fight back, the elders hide away the kits. Cinderpaw goes to join, but Dustpaw forces her to stay back in Yellowfang's den.
Fireheart fights Brokenstar, but is attacked by Clawface. That was the cat who killed Spottedleaf in the last book. Fireheart furiously attacks Clawface, suddenly feeling Spottedleaf's spirit besides him to help avenge her death. Just as Clawface pins him down, Fireheart cries out to Spottedleaf for help. But Graystripe arrives just in time to pull Clawface off, killing him in the process. Graystripe says Bluestar also found bones and recognized Brokenstar's scent, and that she sent him to get Tigerclaw because she thought it was a trap.
Meanwhile, Fireheart sees Frostfur, Dustpaw, and Sandpaw fighting the rogue cats as he looks for Brokenstar. He hears a yowl from Yellowfang's den and rushes in, afraid for Cinderpaw, but sees that Yellowfang has seriously injured Brokenstar instead. Brokenstar loses a life, but not his last, and Fireheart asks why she doesn't finish him off. Yellowfang confesses that Brokenstar is actually her son, and that she loved his father Raggedstar.
LIZ: [gasps]
PAZ: Brokenstar doesn't know she's his mother. They all find out that Yellowfang has injured Brokenstar's eyes badly so that he is blind. Fireheart checks on Cinderpaw, who is fine, but wishes she could have helped in the battle, and she and Yellowfang start tending to Brokenstar. The rogue cats are chased off. Fireheart thanks Graystripe for saving his life and Graystripe tells him he'd give his life for Fireheart. Just bro things.
Bluestar returns. Fireheart explains everything to her, and she praises him. Tigerclaw is also back. Fireheart tells him what happened to Brokenstar, and Yellowfang says she will tend to him until he recovers. Almost everyone is skeptical, but she says it would be wrong to leave him to die or kill him, although she doesn't reveal that he is her son, and Bluestar agrees for now. She says Brokenstar is no longer a clan leader and renames him in a pretty unnecessary fashion. She renames him to Brokentail, I think.
JULIAN: Yep.
PAZ: Chapter 27. After the battle, Fireheart tells Bluestar how Dustpaw and Sandpaw defended the clan from the attack, and that they both deserve to be warriors and she agrees. Dustpaw is surprised, and Sandpaw says it's Fireheart's quick thinking that saved them. They decided to have the naming ceremony that day, and the two new warriors are then named Dustpelt and Sandstorm. Bluestar also thanks Fireheart for his courage. Fireheart says to Sandstorm he's glad they can eat together as warriors now, though is a bit disappointed that he can't eat alone with her.
He goes to bring something to Cinderpaw for dinner, since she wasn't at the naming ceremony. Brokentail is still unconscious. Cinderpaw is depressed, feeling she is a burden to the clan, and Fireheart doesn't even comfort or reassure her again for some reason.
LIZ: [grumbles]
PAZ: Yellowfang says Cinderpaw is a great help to her, though, and they both have a friendly exchange. Fireheart is a little envious of their relationship. It's snowing the next morning. Dustpelt and Sandpaw have returned from the midnight vigil and are asleep. Bluestar tells the rest of the clan that Brokentail will be staying.
She also tells Fireheart that she's worried about him and Graystripe not making up yet, and he and Graystripe should hang out (hunt). Fireheart is hopeful about the idea, but Graystripe is cold to him, accusing Fireheart of doubting his clan loyalty and only wanting to keep an eye on him. He says Fireheart just wants to please Bluestar. They go hunting anyway, and it's super awkward because of trust issues. When they return with freshkill, Brindleface tells Fireheart that Cloudkit and her other kids have gone missing.
Chapter 28, Fireheart tries to find Graystripe to help look for the kits, but can't find him. Sandstorm offers to help instead. It's difficult to track the kits in the blizzard, and Fireheart is worried. He and Sandstorm both decide to head back and get more help, but they notice the voices of the kits before doing so. They find all the kits but Cloudkit by a fallen tree, and one of the kits says he is hunting. Cloudkit shows up, carrying a little vole in his mouth. Fireheart and Sandstorm gather up all the kits and rush back to the camp.
Bluestar scolds the kits, but Cloudkit is defiant and says the clan needed food and that it was his idea. She says that while his intentions were good, he was foolish. Fireheart feels a mixture of pride and worry for Cloudkit because he is skilled but is reckless about the warrior code. Bluestar later tells Fireheart that he needs to teach Cloudkit to respect the warrior code. He agrees but resents the high expectations for such a young kit, and thinks of Graystripe, a clan born warrior who disobeys the code all the time. He also wonders if Cloudkit can really adjust to clan life.
Graystripe returns from hunting, but Fireheart can tell he went to see Silverstream. That night, Fireheart dreams about hunting with a grown up Cloudkit. Spottedleaf also shows up in a dream and warns Fireheart about a battle approaching and to beware of a warrior he can't trust. And that's the first chunk of chapters that we'll be discussing.
JULIAN: God.
LIZ: Damn.
JULIAN: Chapter 26 especially was just like one thing after another. Like very good, but it's just the events start coming and they don't stop coming.
PAZ: Yeah, it has like the big soap opera reveal in the middle of it.
JULIAN: God.
PAZ: Yeah, I mean like half of it's the battle, and then Yellowfang's big reveal.
JULIAN: Which is so good.
LIZ: It really is.
JULIAN: We love to see just a whole fucked up family situation. Very good.
LIZ: Just a mess.
PAZ: Graystripe wishes his forbidden romance had whatever's going on here.
LIZ: Graystripe, you're just dating someone from another high school.
JULIAN: You're no medicine cat in love with your own leader. And then blinding your son.
PAZ: Yeah, your son who doesn't know he's your son.
LIZ: Oh my god.
PAZ: Like I said, some real--
LIZ: I think it was-- yeah.
PAZ: Go ahead.
LIZ: Oh no, I think it's just kind of nicely seeded I think in our previous reading, where she said like she recognized like it was Brokenstar from bones and stuff. But um, I think it was mentioned that like, oh yeah, I was there for their kitting. And it's like, yeah, you sure were.
JULIAN: Oh boy.
LIZ: You were the main participant.
PAZ: Yeah, I think I feel like I remembered in Into the Wild there were some hints, too, although I'd have to go back and find them.
JULIAN: I think there's some like-- I mean, she obviously has really conflicted feelings about Brokenstar in Into the Wild. Which makes it even more fucked up that he kicked her out. She was his mom!
PAZ: Right?
JULIAN: Um, but like, also, I think there's some stuff about her being kind of maternal or like, all the stuff with her and the kits, where she's like, kind of trying to hang out around the kit den, and the queens are really upset about it. And she's like, oh, I get it.
PAZ: Just a nice two book build up.
JULIAN: I love Yellowfang.
PAZ: Me too.
LIZ: She's so good.
PAZ: Also, her being like, this is like divine punishment...
JULIAN: Oof.
PAZ: Very, very, like, it sucks but also very cool. I don't know. Although, I don't know about that, Yellowfang.
LIZ: Yeah, that's... just, I guess we're kind of going back to the ableism from the-- I mean, from the whole series, but also, specifically from the previous reading, uh. It's like--
PAZ: Oh, I wasn't talking about Brokenstar there. I was just talking about her having a fucked up family situation.
LIZ: Oh, okay, sorry.
PAZ: Now she's like, this is what I get. But yeah.
JULIAN: I think her line exactly is like, "my punishment wasn't that like my other two kits died. It was that this one survived." And it's like, oh, geez.
LIZ: Yeah, that's fucked up.
PAZ: StarClan said you can have a real sicko of a child.
JULIAN: StarClan gave you a real Megaboneclan son.
PAZ: Oh God, right. Yeah, but yeah, Liz, the ableism stuff does come back up, if you wanna--
LIZ: That line... it can be-- That line is like very-- I don't want to say... I don't know. I would appreciate it a lot more for the drama of your evil son, your Megaboneclan evil son, if it wasn't for like, right, immediately, like next to this, how they talk so much about like, oh, now he's blind. He can't do anything.
PAZ: I didn't read that line as referring to that. Although--
LIZ: No, no. I don't think that was intentional.
PAZ: The descriptions around his blindness are like, still not great because it's like, oh, he can't do anything now, but I think that line more refers to his actions as a cat person.
LIZ: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
PAZ: Than what has happened.
LIZ: Yeah, it's just--
JULIAN: Yeah, I do wish that like-- oh, go ahead.
LIZ: No, it's just unfortunate that those things are right next to each other. It's like, bad timing, I feel.
JULIAN: I wish that like, I mean, Warrior Cats bingo. I wish that the blindness was handled differently because it's like oh, he's completely not a threat. We can just keep him around and he'll be totally fine. And it's like his vision was not what made him a threat.
LIZ: No.
JULIAN: Like he was a threat because he was extremely persuasive and like, very good at getting people to go along with him. And nothing's happened to that.
LIZ: No.
PAZ: Yeah. And he still has a bunch of lives, so.
JULIAN: Yeah, I did think-- like when the kits disappear, my immediate-- I had forgotten what happened. And my immediate thought was Brokenstar?
PAZ: Yeah, same.
JULIAN: That he had lured them away or something. Which I personally think would have been a good plot point.
LIZ: Would have been a good plot point. I think if that happened, though, we would have been like, okay, I guess we have an-- you made an evil disabled cat kidnap the kits.
JULIAN: Oh, that is bad. Yeah.
PAZ: You can't win either way in Warriors, I guess.
LIZ: Nn.
JULIAN: You're either Cinderpaw and you're sort of a de facto medicine cat and also a burden on the clan. Or you're Brokentail.
PAZ: Yeah, speaking of ableism, there's more bad convos with Cinderpaw.
JULIAN: Ugh.
PAZ: Where she straight up says like, oh, I feel like a burden on the clan. And then Fireheart doesn't really like disagree. Like what the hell?
LIZ: He's interrupted, right? Because Yellowfang starts talking about like oh, actually, you're a great assistant. But you didn't have to write it that way.
JULIAN: Yeah. I also just like... no one talks about the elders or like the queens or like other people who don't hunt for themselves like being burdens on the clan.
LIZ: No.
PAZ: Right?
JULIAN: I don't... where is this coming fr-- I mean, I know where it's coming from. It's coming from the authors. But like it just doesn't make sense with like the way that the cat society has been set up.
PAZ: Absolutely. It's just like a very deeply communal society, and like it is about supporting everyone in the clan. So like you said, the elders don't hunt. So yeah, it just doesn't make sense at all.
LIZ: Yeah. I guess like if you wanted to, I don't think that Warriors Cats currently in this book or possibly later wants to have that conversation necessarily. But if you wanted to, I think it would be pretty easy to have like one clan be more-- like, to be better at this sort of accommodation, and have like-- just for like that black and white kid metaphor, to have like the evil clan be not as good at it, you know?
PAZ: Well, apparently WindClan is doing fine on that front, but it's not portrayed like ThunderClan is deeply ableist, so.
LIZ: No.
PAZ: So it just comes off as a weird like incoherent plot point, when you can have like, one disabled cat in one clan like in a high ranking authority position, and then in another clan, apparently not. And like, for no reason given.
LIZ: WindClan's fine. They're just like, hey, what's up? What the fuck is up with everyone else?
PAZ: Yeah, we'll talk more about that later. WindClan really needs to like, move and then stop dealing with all this bullshit. And then there's that weird renaming thing too.
JULIAN: Yeah. Nothing's wrong with-- is something wrong with his tail?
PAZ: I don't know.
LIZ: No, I don't think so.
PAZ: I was like, was that-- I couldn't tell if that used to be his name. And she's just like, you going back to that name. Or, I don't know.
JULIAN: Oh, Brokentail was his original warrior name.
PAZ: Yeah, that's what I read it as.
LIZ: Oh.
PAZ: But once again, weird names.
LIZ: I think it's just because like, oh, someone else is reverting it for him, not...
PAZ: Yeah.
JULIAN: Oh.
LIZ: It's not even really like, yeah.
JULIAN: Jesus. Yellowfang named him, A.
LIZ: Yellowfang!
JULIAN: Like she named him Brokenkit.
PAZ: Oh no.
LIZ: Why?
JULIAN: "After the bend in his tail as well as the feeling Yellowfang felt in her heart at the time of his birth."
PAZ: Oh my god. Damn.
LIZ: Fucking, move over, Lan Wangji.
[everyone cackling]
PAZ: [muffled] Ohhh. I probably just blew out the audio so much.
JULIAN: I also did. Oh no.
PAZ: A little joke for our Untamed fans out there.
LIZ: Untamed didn't know shit.
PAZ: Untamed wants what Warriors has.
LIZ: Why not just call him like--
PAZ: Mistakekit.
LIZ: Bendytail or something-- no! Just Wiggletail or something. Wavetail.
PAZ: Wiggletail, that's great.
JULIAN: Aw.
PAZ: Also, it's beginning to thunderstorm pretty hard here. Hopefully I don't lose power but--
JULIAN: Oh no.
PAZ: Heads up.
LIZ: It's ThunderClan. They're coming.
JULIAN: Well, I guess that's what we got Craig for.
PAZ: Yeah, hopefully Craig works. Fingers crossed.
JULIAN: In non-Brokenstar related news, the bit about where Graystripe saves Fireheart, and then is like, I would give my life for you, is so romantic?
PAZ: Right? It just came out of nowhere.
LIZ: It's so good.
PAZ: It was deeply romantic.
LIZ: It's just, it's such a good moment. And then, ugh.
JULIAN: It's such a good moment, and then Graystripe fucks up again in the very next chapter.
PAZ: Yeah, he had one moment of being decent, and then he's back to being a fool.
LIZ: Yeah. I do like seeing that push-pull of conflict there, because that's, you know, that's the whole crux of Fireheart being unsure. And I mean, it also makes Graystripe feel like, oh yeah, this is the friend that will die for me. But is he gonna pick me up from the airport? No.
PAZ: Yeah, it's like in the moment, yeah, he is like on top of it, but then when Fireheart confronts him later, he gets all like, pissy and evasive again.
JULIAN: Fireheart doesn't even confront him. He's just like hey, do you want to go hunting? And Graystripe is like, are you making sure I don't disappear again? And just like, and then Graystripe tries to play like he would have saved any clan cat's life, and he also would have told any clan cat that he would die for them.
PAZ: No biggie.
LIZ: Uh-huh, sure.
PAZ: Just clan things.
LIZ: Just clan things.
JULIAN: Sort out your shit, Graystripe
LIZ: I mean, also has-- there has to be someone out there who's written the like Fireheart like 500 word thing where he's wondering like, mm, why do I care so much about my best friend dating someone else? Clan loyalty aside. Wow, him being mean to me sure is very, very, very, very effective to me. Just bro things.
JULIAN: Just bro things.
LIZ: Just bro things.
PAZ: Yeah, don't worry about it.
LIZ: I don't care, except I do, a lot.
[rain clattering]
JULIAN: I am pulling up--
PAZ: It is storming.
JULIAN: Warrior Cats, the, um.
PAZ: What are you pulling up? Should I wait?
JULIAN: I'm pulling up Archive of--
PAZ: Oh yes.
JULIAN: I'm pulling up Ao3. Don't worry.
PAZ: No, I will wait to hear the statistics.
JULIAN: Oh, what did I-- I did this... How did I do this wrong?
PAZ: This is like a summer thunderstorm. So it'll probably be over in like half an hour. But I hope in that half an hour I don't lose power.
LIZ: Wild. Oh no.
JULIAN: What? There's only five fics?
PAZ: That can't be right.
LIZ: What?!
PAZ: No.
LIZ: No.
JULIAN: There's more Fireheart/Onewhisker than there is Fireheart/Graystripe.
PAZ: Did you just type the tag wrong? I refuse to believe that. I see so much fanart.
LIZ: Okay, I have a lot of respect for the former, but the latter just has the privilege of much more screentime.
JULIAN: Oh, I did it wrong. I did it wrong.
PAZ: Yeah. Okay. I'm like no, this is way more popular than that. There's AMVs for it. Look, listen.
JULIAN: Yeah, we've got 32.
PAZ: That's, you know. I feel like a lot of Warriors fic is-- was on fanfic.net, so.
JULIAN: Right. I also feel like a lot of people are writing like for canonical ships with Graystripe specifically, and also Fireheart, but.
PAZ: Yeah, but I know it is a popular pairing. For good reason.
LIZ: How many? How many are there with the correct tag?
JULIAN: There's only 32.
LIZ: That's a pretty decent amount for something that's probably not mainly on Ao3, and at this point pretty old. I don't know, what's not to love? You have friends to enemies to friends?
JULIAN: I mean, again, though, there are 25 Fireheart/Onewhisker fics.
PAZ: Listen, we got to ring the Fireheart/Onewhisker alarm bells again, because it comes up.
JULIAN: It really does.
PAZ: I think people are onto something, I'm just saying.
LIZ: Yeah, listen.
PAZ: But we'll get to that.
LIZ: We're putting a pin in that for later in the episode.
PAZ: Yes, but our--
JULIAN: I did like-- we're skipping around a little bit, or I'm skipping around a little bit. I did think that the discussion that the clan has about whether to keep Brokentail around is like... I thought that was interesting, even if there is some ableism in the way that they're like oh, he's not a threat anymore. But particularly in terms of like Fireheart feeling conflicted about how much he wants Brokentail to just be dead.
PAZ: And like the reason he stays is this like morality thing of like sending him off to die-- because apparently that's what happens if you're blind. Thanks Warriors-- in the forest is like.
LIZ: Not like there's-- oh my god.
PAZ: Yeah, but it's--
LIZ: It's not like there's no blind animals, or anything.
PAZ: I know. It's stupid.
LIZ: Ugh.
PAZ: But yeah, yeah, it's an interesting display of clan conflict management internally. I do want to note, it almost felt like Brokentail in the camp was less contentious than keeping Cloudkit, which is very funny to me.
JULIAN: God. No, you're right. It was less contentious.
PAZ: Right? There's no reason that keeping a dangerous ex-leader should be solved quicker than deciding to keep a small fluffy kitten.
JULIAN: Yeah.
LIZ: A kitten who's like--
JULIAN: Kittens eat less, for one thing.
LIZ: A kitten from, what they consider like the most least threatening place possible, which is like a pet, right? It's like do we keep this pet, who is a baby, or a war criminal?
PAZ: Yeah, there were like multiple people being like, saying like, we need to throw this child out into the woods to die. And it was like--
LIZ: We need to Victorian style expose this child.
PAZ: And there was only one quickly solved objection to keeping Brokentail.
JULIAN: God.
PAZ: On that topic, I also want to note that everyone was being like, Cloudkit's stupid because he has white fur in the previous set of readings. And then in this reading, it talks about how Frostfur has white fur. I was like, what is going on?
LIZ: Wait, so, so while they were saying that, do we just not see Frostfur being like, oh, I see how it is. Fucking bitches. Fucking babysit your own kids then.
PAZ: I feel like in this set of readings it points out her white fur like twice.
JULIAN: Like that's why she's named that.
LIZ: Yeah. She's not called Treefur. It's Frostfur.
PAZ: Oh my God.
JULIAN: God.
LIZ: They are cats. It's the limited object permanence thing. They're gonna talk shit, and they're gonna turn around and be like, oh, Frostfur, I'm so sorry. I do not mean you. Nothing but respect for-- nothing but respect for my queens.
JULIAN: Oh.
PAZ: Oh my gosh.
JULIAN: Well, I mean, in the next chapter, we do discover that Cloudkit is in fact very good at being a warrior.
PAZ: Yes, I love Cloudkit. He's so cute.
LIZ: He's just a little baby.
PAZ: And he makes bad little kid decisions, which is just cuter.
JULIAN: Yeah, he just wants to be a good part of the clan.
PAZ: I know.
LIZ: He's like, I will go grocery shopping in a blizzard.
JULIAN: Cloudkit coming back with two onions and a potato.
LIZ: Listen, that's like, what? Two latkes. I don't know. That's a lot of onion though. Two really big ones, onion heavy.
JULIAN: I do have a note about that this is what cat racism does. Because I do wonder like, obviously Cloudkit is like, his desire to like, prove himself is very cute. But I also wonder how much of it is him being like, well, if everyone's gonna say that I'm like, not fit to be a warrior, because I know they-- like he can hear them. How much of this is like him trying to prove that he can help provide for the clan?
PAZ: Yeah, I definitely think that's what's happening.
LIZ: Which is also sad.
JULIAN: Yeah, he's just a baby.
PAZ: Apparently, his siblings like him enough to go out into the blizzard with him, though, so there's that.
LIZ: I don't know how, like, their relationship is gonna turn out, or even if it's gonna be explored very much. But I do like the idea of like, here's my extremely extroverted sibling who at the age of baby just hunted a whole animal. And like the other siblings just like, oh, we're introverts or whatever.
JULIAN: Yeah, isn't he like four weeks old or something at this point?
PAZ: It's something like that. Maybe six weeks, I don't know.
LIZ: Just imagine the shape of this, the shape of this small baby.
PAZ: He's too small. I can't protect him.
JULIAN: And like I understand why Bluestar is very pissed, because it is bad if your kits wander out, um, but also like her being like, oh, it's against the warrior code. It's like where?
PAZ: Yeah, what? Where?
LIZ: They're babies. I don't think they know yet.
JULIAN: Point it out to me. Like, at what age are kits responsible for knowing the warrior code?
PAZ: Yeah, how--
JULIAN: Do they go to school?
PAZ: Do they?
LIZ: Are you teaching them ethics? They don't get any teachers besides basically PE coaches by the age of like 12.
PAZ: Yeah, I feel like you learn the warrior code when you're an apprentice.
JULIAN: Like are the queens supposed to be teaching them this in the nursery?
LIZ: The queens have degrees in ethics. They are teaching them right now. You just don't see it.
PAZ: Is this like child labor laws in the warrior code?
JULIAN: Kits cannot work in the mills.
LIZ: I don't care how tiny your beans are.
PAZ: Your paws may be able to reach between these-- I don't know-- twigs, but not allowed.
JULIAN: I just like, this isn't like-- not to make another Untamed reference-- but this isn't like, the warrior code is not like the fucking Lan clan rules that are up on a rock for everyone to look at.
PAZ: Maybe they are. It just hasn't mentioned it.
LIZ: It just seems like--
JULIAN: The cats have been able to read and write this whole time.
LIZ: They just don't want to cause they're all stupid jocks. But yeah, it just seems to be a general consensus thing that when you-- like if you break them and you're an adult, you get attacked. You get in a fight.
PAZ: Yeah, I don't even know.
LIZ: I don't know how much like, do they get like trials? I don't think? I don't remember.
PAZ: I have no fucking idea.
JULIAN: It's also interesting that like Fireheart is specifically like, oh, Graystripe broke the warrior code and like you didn't say shit about him.
PAZ: Yes, I love that line.
JULIAN: Which is very good. But also like he doesn't mention Yellowfang, who definitely broke the warrior code.
LIZ: Well, Fireheart respects girlbosses.
PAZ: She did that a long time ago.
JULIAN: Yeah, that's true.
PAZ: Yeah. But I want to read that sentence because it was really good. "Fireheart swallowed a pang of resentment as he thought of how shamelessly Graystripe, a clanborn cat, was disobeying the warrior code." Get his ass.
JULIAN: Shameless. Graystripe, you hussy.
LIZ: It's also a good little like, like that expression of actual anger against Bluestar for once, it's a good like-- it's a pretty clear way of showing that like, oh wow, it sucks to get like microaggressed. No?
PAZ: Yeah, and the fact that it's not just Fireheart being constantly microaggressed now too. It's like someone he cares about also going through it, I think is definitely--
LIZ: Who's a baby.
JULIAN: Who's a baby! Sorry, I do have a note about, are kittypets the model minority?
LIZ: Oh God.
JULIAN: Which is half a joke and half a like, you know, it does seem like they have to work twice as hard. Or like it's setting that up.
PAZ: Yeah, I don't remember what happens with Cloudkit's arc but if I-- I mean, I don't know because I never read it. But if I had to guess, it's probably gonna be that
JULIAN: Yeah, I super unfortunately do not remember and also did not register it when I read these books at age like 8, 11, somewhere in there, but.
LIZ: Well, I have the gift of prophecy as we know from the finale of our last book, so I'm gonna say that Cloudkit grows up to be like Cloudclaw.
PAZ: Whoa.
LIZ: Very fierce. Yeah. And he's like love some of you guys, hate the rest of you guys because you're extremely xenophobic. I'm out because I am an adult now. Going to found my own clan called Megaboneclan, only if you're hardcore. And not gonna be xenophobic to everyone. Can you come in? Yep, peace. I'm out. Uncle Fireheart, I'll FaceTime you later. Okay, bye.
PAZ: Okay, well, can't wait for that arc.
JULIAN: Perfect.
PAZ: I guess in conjunction with the Cloudkit stuff is like the scenes Fireheart gets with Sandstorm, which are good. I do love and also like, holy shit that it had to take Fireheart straight up saying to Bluestar, like, they should really be like warriors now for that to happen.
JULIAN: Yeah, Bluestar, do your job.
LIZ: I wondered if like how long it was taking was actually like going to be a plot point. But it just seems to be like oh, she's been busy.
JULIAN: Yeah, I kind of thought that it would end up being a plot point.
PAZ: Yeah, but what--
JULIAN: And I don't know if we'll like hear more about it later.
PAZ: What I know that I thought it could be a plot point in conjunction with hasn't really happened yet. So I don't know. But do you think if Fireheart hadn't said anything they would have been apprentices for another like three months?
LIZ: Oh my god. Sucks. Probably like another few days until the next battle happens, right?
PAZ: I don't even know.
JULIAN: Right? The pace of battles in this book is pretty high.
PAZ: Yeah, this book has way more battles. For sure.
JULIAN: Living up to my mom's nickname of Catfight, the series.
PAZ: I guess it makes sense though. Because now Fireheart is like a warrior and...
JULIAN: Right.
PAZ: Going into battle.
LIZ: I'm just, there's so many of them happening. Just imagine the noise of this book like if it was a movie. It would just be like, you know, when you hear cats fight in the alley at night, but like times 100.
JULIAN: Imagining that in surround sound. Incredible.
LIZ: 3D.
PAZ: I just keep thinking about how Harper Collins said no-- or like some of the mods said no violence on the official forums. Like, have you read the book?
JULIAN: Book two we get like, spine biting.
LIZ: God.
PAZ: Yeah. Graystripe finally kills someone. Like--
LIZ: On purpose?
PAZ: --I guess, on purpose directly. He has a high body count prior, as we know, but yeah, I guess he's killed someone before Fireheart has now, like in battle.
JULIAN: Yeah, has Fireheart actually killed anyone?
PAZ: No, I don't think so.
LIZ: I don't think so. He gets close a lot of times. And I'm getting some--
JULIAN: Right, his morals.
LIZ: Yeah, we're getting some conflicts about how like, it's like part of the warrior code is, you know, non lethal damage, apparently.
PAZ: But then no one cares that-- I don't even know. I don't know, because nobody really cares, like Graystripe killed Clawface or whatever. But I guess they were also rogues.
LIZ: Yeah, I don't know.
JULIAN: Is it like, you're only supposed to do non lethal damage to another clan cat?
PAZ: Geez. The implications of that.
LIZ: Interesting.
JULIAN: I'm so iffy on like, what the warrior code says, and also like, what the code of ethics in battle specifically is because like, there was that whole big deal in book one about how bad it was that like that like Redtail killed Oakheart or whatever. And then, in book two it's just like, yeah, you can kill whoever the fuck you want.
PAZ: Yeah, I don't. I have no idea.
JULIAN: I do wonder a little bit if there's anything thematic with the kind of breakdown, I guess, of the warrior code. Because it's like, also definitely against the warrior code to-- which we'll talk about more when we talk about like chapters 29 and 30. But like, definitely against the warrior code to team up with another clan and like attack people.
LIZ: Yeah, I feel like it could be leading up to that. And probably like in a future thing, like the younger generation could be like, this part of the warrior code sucks. We need to reform it and not really question it beyond that.
PAZ: Yeah, I have no idea.
LIZ: Yep, no idea.
PAZ: But that would make sense if it leads up to something like that.
LIZ: Um.
PAZ: Oh, go ahead.
LIZ: No, just wondering where we should go from here, if we're--
PAZ: I have the--
LIZ: If we've covered everything?
PAZ: The last thing is that the Spottedleaf stuff comes back very suddenly.
LIZ: Oh, yeah. Oh my god.
JULIAN: Yeah, it's really out of nowhere.
PAZ: I like legit forgot about her.
LIZ: Yeah, cause it's been like a whole book.
JULIAN: It's been a book and like, Fireheart hasn't thought about her once.
LIZ: No.
JULIAN: Like, I get he's been busy. He's had a lot on his mind. But like, for it to be like, oh, and here she is, like, helping him in battle and appearing to him in a dream. And it's like, yeah, hey, you could have like, dropped a hint about this earlier in the book.
LIZ: Absolutely.
JULIAN: Like maybe he feels a little sad to go to the medicine cat den to see Cinderpaw and be like, yeah, I love Yellowfang but damn, I miss Spottedleaf. You know, just a little something something.
LIZ: Yeah. And without that, it just ends up being really clumsy and not almost funny. Very funny.
PAZ: Very funny, too, because she's described like in a weird...
LIZ: Yeah.
PAZ: This is the sexy she-cat way.
LIZ: No one else gets treated like this.
PAZ: It's like her sweet scent, her soft pink nose. Like what is going on?
JULIAN: Not even Sandstorm, who's definitely getting the romance, like lead up is getting this kind of treatment. And it's like, what's happening?
PAZ: Yeah. It's so funny because it's literally only with her.
JULIAN: This is where I do admit that like me in fourth and fifth grade had a big old crush on Spottedleaf.
PAZ: I can't blame you.
JULIAN: And now I'm reading this book, and I'm like--
LIZ: It was shaped by that. This was written--
JULIAN: --where was this? Like, where did this come from?
PAZ: It's so weird. I don't know if they were like, we're just gonna be consistent with the writing from the first book.
LIZ: You didn't need to be. It's been a book. We wouldn't have remembered. I don't think you need to be able--
JULIAN: Well, it's also--
LIZ: No, go ahead.
JULIAN: Go ahead.
LIZ: No, if she's like a spirit, you don't have to smell her. I don't know.
PAZ: How are we supposed to know she's hot otherwise, Liz?
LIZ: Just talk about her like spots. That's what her name is. Her beautiful spots that remind me of a leaf.
JULIAN: It's also so weird that like all of this stuff, like all of their interactions, like the way that they like touch or whatever is like weirdly sensual, but like the rest of the cats are like, you know, licking and like... in like very nonsensual ways. Like when Sandstorm and Dustpelt become warriors, they lick Bluestar, and it's totally normal. It's treated as completely normal.
LIZ: Yeah, cause it's cat stuff.
JULIAN: Cause that's what cats do. But suddenly, when Spottedleaf is doing the licking, it's like ooooooh.
PAZ: I'm not even angry about it because it's hilarious.
LIZ: God, and we did mention Sandstorm being set up for the romantic interest thing. And it's like, putting those these side by side, there's such a comical difference. She's just like a normal person. She doesn't have a weird smell. I don't even know if we have a flattering description of her that isn't just normal.
PAZ: I mean, like the flattering descriptions of her are like she's really good at fighting.
LIZ: Yeah, and it's like that's nice. Like for a kids romance? Yeah. Kids book romance. Talk about how cool she is instead of what she smells like. What does she smell like? She's a cat.
PAZ: They're really struggling how to write this cat romance. Even though I think they figured it out with Sandstorm. I don't know why...
JULIAN: Well, you know, she smells like pine, mouse, and something uniquely Sandstorm.
PAZ: You mean Spottedleaf? Or wait.
JULIAN: Or Spottedleaf.
LIZ: God.
PAZ: So fucking funny. That's my new Etsy soap scent.
LIZ: Oh, I'm sorry. We have to take a break for a second for a very crucial search.
PAZ: Oh god.
JULIAN: Oh, I wonder if there are any-- while you do your search, I'm going to do mine.
LIZ: Well, it's a-- oh no. It's just soap shaped like cats.
PAZ: Damn.
JULIAN: Damn.
LIZ: I'm so disappointed.
JULIAN: I wanted to look to see if there were any Warrior Cats teas.
LIZ: Oh you're so right.
JULIAN: On that tea site that does the fandom teas. And great news, there are.
PAZ: Oh thank god.
LIZ: [claps] Yes.
JULIAN: They spelled Graystripe's name wrong, though.
LIZ: Is there a dash in between? Maybe it's a character development thing.
JULIAN: Oh, what's Bluestar's tea? Snowbud, white peony, and white blueberry, accented with coconut. That sounds bad.
PAZ: I don't know much about tea. But yeah.
LIZ: When have these British cats ever fucking even seen a coconut?
JULIAN: Oh, here's Ravenpaw, "a calming blend in honor of a nervous apprentice. Includes caramel, decaf vanilla, and mocha nut mate, accented with cocoa nibs."
LIZ: Decaf vanilla.
PAZ: That sounds okay. I think that's it for the first chunk.
JULIAN: Yep.
LIZ: I think so.
PAZ: Okay, well, I will go on to the summaries for the last two chapters. Okay, Chapter 29. The next day, Fireheart can't stop thinking about Spottedleaf's warning and her unique scent and Graystripe's loyalty. The snow has stopped. But Onewhisker from WindClan runs into the camp begging for help because RiverClan and ThunderClan are attacking WindClan.
LIZ: Oh.
PAZ: Bluestar gathers--
LIZ: Sorry, typo on my part. It's ShadowClan.
PAZ: Fuck. Yeah, okay. The snow has stopped, but Onewhisker from WindClan runs into the camp begging for help because RiverClan and ShadowClan are attacking WindClan. Bluestar gathers the clan and says they must help. There is little protest, but Tigerclaw steps in and says he agrees with Bluestar because ShadowClan and RiverClan might attack ThunderClan next. Yellowfang says Bluestar should remain at camp because of her health and Firestar-- bleagh. Fireheart knows it's also because of her last life.
Bluestar tells Tigerclaw to lead the attack parties. Whitestorm takes one party and Tigerclaw gathers warriors for the other, including Fireheart and Onewhisker. You know. Graystripe is with the other party, and Fireheart knows he'll have to choose sides now.
Soon after they leave, Willowpelt says they're being followed, but it turns out to be Cloudkit and Brindleface's kits again. Tigerclaw tests Fireheart's loyalty and says to deal with it, and Fireheart just asks Brackenpaw to take the kits home. Cloudkit protests, but Fireheart promises they'll fight together someday, ignoring the other warriors. Tigerclaw tells Fireheart to lead them to WindClan since he knows the way, and since he probably doesn't trust Onewhisker. Graystripe also knows the way but is too miserable to help. They arrive at the camp, where the battle is already taking place.
Chapter 30. At the battle, WindClan is totally outnumbered by ShadowClan and RiverClan. ThunderClan attacks and more enemy parties show up. As Fireheart battles a RiverClan cat, Onewhisker ends up finishing the fight for him. Fireheart in a totally normal bro way notices the fire in Onewhisker's eyes. In the middle of the battle, Fireheart sees a RiverClan cat about to attack Graystripe and wonders if he'll fight back. But he attacks a ShadowClan cat instead.
Tigerclaw calls out for Fireheart, who tries to get to him, but is attacked by a RiverClan cat, Leopardfur, who is RiverClan's deputy, who he'd met at the gorge where Whiteclaw died. Fireheart calls out to Tigerclaw for help, but he just watches. Fireheart is so angry that he can flip Leopardfur off. He and Tigerclaw give each other the stink eye before returning the battle.
While Fireheart fights a RiverClan cat, he is attacked by Silverstream. As she is about to claw him, Graystripe's voice stops her. Fireheart instinctively attacks when she backs down, but sees Graystripe watching and can't bring himself to hurt Silverstream. She slips away, and Fireheart sees Darkstripe watching him. ShadowClan is eventually driven off, leaving RiverClan alone Fireheart sees Tigerclaw tackle the ShadowClan leader, Crookedstar, going for his neck. He doesn't kill Crookedstar, but ends the battle, and they flee.
Fireheart wonders briefly about Spottedleaf's prophecy about how fire will save the clan. He also thinks about Spottedleaf's warning about warriors he can't trust and finally realizes that that meant Tigerclaw, the guy who loves murder and he knows did at least one murder, and not Graystripe. Tigerclaw confronts Fireheart about letting Silverstream escape, and Fireheart asks if he wanted him to kill her. Tigerclaw also makes insinuations about Graystripe's loyalty, and they both see him return, presumably from checking on Silverstream. When he leaves, Graystripe and Fireheart finally talk about his conflicted feelings, and Fireheart promises he will always be Graystripe's friend. And that is the end of the book.
LIZ: My god.
JULIAN: Action-packed chapters.
PAZ: So much happens. Man, WindClan is literally just minding their own business.
LIZ: It feels like WindClan is like 10 people, and they're just like oh God. Should we move back?
PAZ: Leave them alone. I'm like extra defensive of them because they're my favorite clan, but like what?
JULIAN: Literally, they're just vibing.
PAZ: Yeah, at the gathering, Tallstar was like, y'all are freaks. We're leaving, bye.
LIZ: Do you think they went in going like, Gee, I wonder what everyone else is doing? It sure is great that we solve that whole clan being driven out thing. Let's go see our good friends who helped us. Oh, okay. Mm.
JULIAN: I also don't understand like, just from setting aside morals, as we do in the Warrior Cats books. And from a purely like, you know, political/logistical perspective, why would they go after WindClan who has like two rabbits and not ThunderClan?
PAZ: I have no idea. I assume in the next book we'll find out why the fuck they did that, but.
JULIAN: Like I guess it is like, they're easier targets, but like, it just doesn't seem worth it.
PAZ: Yeah, I think on the way to WindClan's camp, Fireheart notes like there is fucking nothing here.
JULIAN: Like their camp is like a slight hollow in the moor. It's a bunch of gorse.
LIZ: And that's an improvement from the sewer.
JULIAN: Like this is not going to solve RiverClan's food problem.
LIZ: No.
PAZ: No, they can't even catch the rabbits, as we learned in the beginning of the book.
JULIAN: It is very-- the Fireheart/Onewhisker content in these chapters is extremely good
PAZ: It's real. I was doubting it when it first came up from whatever we were searching that.
JULIAN: Yeah, no, I thought it was kind of a crack ship.
PAZ: No.
JULIAN: But no, I'm on board.
PAZ: I'm on board too.
LIZ: If their clans keep consorting, you never know. Maybe in book 3, the political marriage of convenience will be real.
PAZ: Yeah, can't rule it out.
LIZ: Yeah. No.
JULIAN: Like, they're battle husbands.
PAZ: Yeah, I can't remember. Did Onewhisker jump in to get a cat off Fireheart or help him or something?
LIZ: Yeah, yeah. I also didn't put it in the summary. But there's a part where like, I think Tigerclaw is asking, like, what Onewhisker's name is, and Onewhisker is so intimidated that Fireheart just does it for him.
PAZ: Yeah.
JULIAN: Yeah, it's really good.
PAZ: It's good. I hope we keep seeing content for them. I feel like I remember vaguely the Onewhisker arc. Can't be sure though.
JULIAN: Yeah. My note for the beginning of chapter 29 is just, Fireheart, go help your boyfriend. It is interesting. Like, Tigerclaw is right for once, even if it's just because he wants to fight and kill. So it does make him slightly more complex as a villain that he's like--
PAZ: I feel like he's been right a lot. Multiple times in this book.
JULIAN: Yeah, no, you're right.
LIZ: It's so interesting to me because for a lot of the times, Fireheart is agreeing with him.
PAZ: Yeah. And it kind of almost points it out or, like, comes back to it in this chapter about how like, it has made Fireheart forget that like, wait, he's a horrible murderer. But Fireheart remembers that when Tigerclaw tries to murder him. Got a little refresher.
LIZ: That's all it took.
JULIAN: Tigerclaw at it again.
PAZ: Tigerclaw, he really tries to murder indirectly so much. His success rate is not great. But God, is he trying.
LIZ: A for effort.
JULIAN: Um, like a little bit before that, we do get some kind of setting up their conflict when Tigerclaw is like shitty to Fireheart about Cloudkit trying to follow them out. Like, when Fireheart has Brackenpaw send Cloudkit and the other kits back, Tigerclaw is like, "Oh, I didn't think you'd be so keen to fight this battle." And it's like, why would he not? He likes WindClan. But then the-- "Fireheart stared at Tigerclaw and felt the blood pulse through him so his whole body throbbed with rage. 'If only you were keen too,' he retorted, 'you'd give the battle cry instead of keeping us here while WindClan warriors die.'"
LIZ: Get him.
JULIAN: Like right in front of everybody.
PAZ: Yeah, that was a really good scene.
LIZ: Very cathartic.
PAZ: Yeah, I do love Fireheart like, standing up to him.
JULIAN: Yeah, it's good. I do wonder if Tigerclaw would have been so eager to let him die if he hadn't.
PAZ: I feel like Tigerclaw's consistently not liked him, though. So.
JULIAN: That's true.
PAZ: And also I think Tigerclaw's pretty sure like Fireheart knows or something.
JULIAN: Right, I forgot about the whole Ravenpaw situation.
LIZ: He's also made a lot of like insinuations about Fireheart's loyalty specifically when RiverClan comes up, and I wonder if there's like, if he thinks something else about what happened there, or if he's mistaking, like, I don't know, Fireheart for being like the spy or something that RiverClan talked about. Cause he's like--
PAZ: I feel like he knows it's Graystripe, though.
LIZ: Yeah, like by the end, I think that's it, but I don't know. Maybe it's just like, themes.
JULIAN: Yeah, definitely. He's definitely like making a lot of insinuations. He loves-- he loves to do murder and he loves to insinuate.
LIZ: It's very fun to read.
PAZ: Yeah, I'm excited for that conflict to continue. Tigerclaw is such a good fun villain.
LIZ: Yeah, I can't believe they didn't get him, though. By the end of this book.
JULIAN: I know. The moment, where like, he's just standing there watching Fireheart get like his belly clawed is so good.
LIZ: Yeah, it's a great, like, the way the scene is written is really good.
JULIAN: Like, in general, the battle scenes are like, you know, very well written. I understand why all of the RPs were like 90% battle scenes by volume.
LIZ: They're very good action scenes.
JULIAN: Yeah, which is hard to write.
LIZ: Yeah, they're cut, like, cut through with like these, I guess bullet time like, personal character conflicts that like really give it a little extra flavor, so it's not like a slog. It's like, so much stuff is happening now. I have to deal with this? Oh, boy. In a good way.
JULIAN: Yeah, no, they do a good job of making the fight scenes also deal with like character's emotional arcs.
PAZ: Yeah, it's like the fight scenes are used to, like drive the personal plots forward, I feel like. Gotta say, though, Fireheart taking Spottedleaf's warning to be not clearly about Tigerclaw. I was like, Oh my god.
LIZ: Oh my God.
JULIAN: I mean, I gotta say, I wasn't sure it was about Tigerclaw because I had also been lulled into a false sense of security by Tigerclaw being mostly normal.
PAZ: Oh, I was like--
JULIAN: Throughout this book.
PAZ: I was like, it's fucking Tigerclaw.
JULIAN: I thought it might be Onewhisker like for a little bit.
PAZ: No.
JULIAN: Because there's a portion in the book where like Tigerclaw seems to doubt that Onewhisker will lead them to the camp. And I was like, Oh shit, is it a trap?
PAZ: I have no doubt about Onewhisker.
JULIAN: I doubted him.
PAZ: Oh my gosh.
LIZ: That would have been very tasty, though. Just like, my good friend, who I saved, who seems to be an upstanding young gentleman? Oh, the betrayal. What are these conflicted feelings I have? I won't think about them. Except I will.
PAZ: No, I also was just like I didn't suspect it because I'm like WindClan is just staying in their lane. Like, why would they fake this?
LIZ: If we want to go full AU, it could be like oh, WindClan was like, had their hand forced, and now all the three clans, two willingly, are converging on ThunderClan. But that's-- I don't know. That's just, it's not as interesting to me.
PAZ: No.
JULIAN: Yeah, no, I was fully as dumb as Fireheart, despite having read this book before.
PAZ: Okay, Fireheart gets a pass, then.
LIZ: Fireheart speaks to a certain little dumb cell in all our brains at some point. That's why he's so relatable. And also, it's like you said, Tigerclaw is being so normal throughout most of the book. He did just become mean teacher again, instead of like, evil war criminal.
JULIAN: He was saving it up for the last two chapters.
LIZ: It's his ult.
PAZ: Gotta press Q for Tigerclaw.
LIZ: Press Q for war crime.
PAZ: Oh my gosh.
JULIAN: The bit with like Silverstream and Graystripe is, you know, there it is.
PAZ: Yeah, Graystripe sure is gonna keep causing problems, huh?
LIZ: Mm-hmm. It's like, I'm not mad that it's happening, but we haven't seen anything of them. So it's just like a plot point rather than any investment, which is kind of what it's for, I guess.
PAZ: Yeah, I don't think we're like, we're not supposed to sympathize with Graystripe. So probably why it's not super shown.
LIZ: No.
PAZ: I mean, like, not completely sympathize.
JULIAN: We're not supposed to. That doesn't stop like most of the fandom.
PAZ: Oh no.
JULIAN: At least like what I-- I'm sure that there were like, opposing camps. But what I saw of it was very much like Graystripe did nothing wrong.
PAZ: Well, I'm here to say in 2021, Graystripe did a lot of things wrong.
JULIAN: Because we were all 12 and thought that being in love meant you didn't have any responsibilities.
LIZ: And you know, at 12, you're allowed to do that. Go on.
PAZ: I'm sure it'll all end fine.
JULIAN: Definitely, definitely nothing will go wrong. I do have a note.
LIZ: Yeah, absolutely.
JULIAN: There's a moment where, like, Tigerclaw is attacking Crookedstar, the RiverClan leader. And like, he like bites Crookedstar's neck. And then there's a moment that it's like, "Crookedstar's pained screech told Fireheart that Tigerclaw had missed the spine." And it's like, oh geez.
LIZ: Jesus.
PAZ: These cats are fucking each other up.
JULIAN: Tigerclaw loves to try to kill leaders.
PAZ: I read that as him like purposely not killing him. But.
JULIAN: No, I think you're right.
PAZ: You know? He's probably really considering it.
LIZ: Mm hmm. If it was just like--
JULIAN: He doesn't get to do any murders.
LIZ: Yeah. Okay, I'm looking at the summary here. I didn't really write much about the prophecy because the summary's already pretty long. But we should probably recap because I think that was way from the beginning of the book, if not further back.
PAZ: The fire prophecy?
LIZ: Yeah, it's like how fire will save ThunderClan.
PAZ: Yeah, that's from the first book, but I think it was reiterated at the top in this book.
LIZ: Yes, so I think Fireheart thinks that fire refers to Tallstar, who just looks so cool and handsome in the sunlight. And then he's like, is it? Is it really him though? Because WindClan is doing so bad. So Fireheart, our protagonist, who's orange, is like, I got to think about this. That's it.
PAZ: He has a lot of other things on his mind.
JULIAN: He's a sweet boy.
PAZ: He doesn't know yet he's the protagonist.
LIZ: That's true. He doesn't have that meta brain, which is better. Fireheart turns to look directly at the reader. What else is there? I guess we could talk about the last scene.
PAZ: Yeah, where like Fireheart and Graystripe kind of make up.
LIZ: Yeah. I think it's sweet.
JULIAN: Yeah.
PAZ: Yeah, it was sweet.
JULIAN: It's like a pretty abrupt ending, I feel like.
LIZ: Mm-hmm.
PAZ: Yeah.
LIZ: How did the last one end? Like the last book, I don't quite remember.
PAZ: I feel like it was them being made warriors, right?
JULIAN: Um, let's see. Yeah, the last scene is them becoming warriors.
PAZ: I mean, like one thing about Fire and Ice, I think, is it had less of an overarching plot. It was like a lot of little plot threads, I feel like, because like we said, Tigerclaw wasn't really being the central villain in it.
JULIAN: Yeah, it definitely feels like it's setting up a lot of stuff for like later books, in a way that-- which makes sense based on what we've read about how the first book was kind of originally supposed to be standalone.
LIZ: Yeah. It's definitely widened like the circle of characters and just places a lot.
PAZ: Yeah, I don't think it's bad. It just like, I guess it would lead to a less decisive ending because it's like, well, a lot of stuff came up, and nothing really got solved yet. So.
JULIAN: Yeah, it is nice to like, wrap up on this Fireheart-Graystripe scene.
PAZ: Yeah.
JULIAN: When their conflict/relationship has been such a throughline.
PAZ: Yeah, I do. That's like the major throughline for sure is Fireheart and Graystripe. I mean, on the old version of the cover, that's the little picture is them sitting next to each other.
LIZ: Aw.
PAZ: In front of the moon.
LIZ: Aww.
JULIAN: Yeah, it's a good cover.
PAZ: Yeah, it is.
JULIAN: The original one.
LIZ: I also like seeing the two endings compared to each other because it's like, when they're kids and the ending is them. But you know, they're on good terms. And then when they're a little older, it's still them, but it's much more difficult.
PAZ: Yeah, that's a good mirror ending.
JULIAN: Man, I forgot how much fighting cats is on the cover of the...
PAZ: Yeah, I have. I have my like, old book with the old cover. I think the scene behind them is just the final battle at WindClan.
JULIAN: Yeah, here. I'm going to upload it to the server so you can see it, Liz.
LIZ: Oh, yeah. Wow. I love that.
JULIAN: They're just fighting.
LIZ: I love the background too. It's very, well, evocative of the title, but that's like good color contrast.
JULIAN: Yeah, it's nice.
LIZ: Oh, you guys gotta see the Polish cover for Fire and Ice.
PAZ: Ooh.
JULIAN: Oh, please show us.
LIZ: It is not what you're expecting.
[laughter]
JULIAN: Oop!
PAZ: It's uh, it's Graystripe and Silverstream, I think, being...
JULIAN: They're just, uh--
PAZ: Oh my god, look at Fireheart way in the background.
JULIAN: Wait. Oh no!
[laughter]
PAZ: Just like Graystripe and Silverstream at the front doing a little like cat affectionate headbutt, and then way in the background, very distant, is little orange Fireheart.
LIZ: [wheezing] I'm crying.
JULIAN: The artist for the Polish books was like, they shipped it.
PAZ: Yeah, they fucking did, apparently. They were like, uh...
JULIAN: They were like, Graystripe and Silverstream are in love. Fuck y'all.
LIZ: Listen, Polish cover artist, you follow your heart. They gave Graystripe this very like-- these are-- I want to reiterate the style of this, which is just kind of like normal cats but a little more expressive. Like they made Graystripe look very like, romantic interest, handsome face.
JULIAN: Yeah, this is-- he's got like, luxurious chest fur.
PAZ: Big ol face.
LIZ: It's very funny. [laughing] Fireheart just way in the back. Little speck.
PAZ: Oh god. I don't know if I have anything else to add right now.
JULIAN: Oh, I do really quickly want to-- while we're looking at covers, the simplified Chinese cover is very good.
LIZ: Oh, boy.
PAZ: Oh, I love that.
LIZ: [gasps] Oh wow. Who is that?
JULIAN: It's got-- yeah, it's Fireheart but drawn with the roundest face in the world, kind of emerging from like, between branches above the snow. It's really good colors.
LIZ: This cover gives me the vibe of like those-- when you're like a kid, you read books about animals, but like, they're just regular ones and not like, society ones. And it's about surviving winter.
PAZ: Yeah, that's exactly the vibe.
JULIAN: Yeah, it definitely has the vibe of like, I feel like children's book covers from the 80s were all like-- or like a lot of them were like, painted in a way, like a very specific way. And this gives me those vibes. Strong use of shadow. Anyway.
PAZ: I mean, is that it?
JULIAN: Yeah, I don't have anything else.
PAZ: I still have to decide if we're gonna do like a wrap up episode. I don't know, could be fun. We could read Graystripe hate.
[giggling]
JULIAN: Oh my god.
LIZ: Oh, the one we wrote, you mean?
JULIAN: Oh, it would be fun-- I can like do some digging on the forums and see if I can find any like old discussions of Graystripe/Silverstream.
PAZ: Yeah, that would be great. Um, I don't know if we're gonna do the second segment in this episode because it was pretty long, like set of chapters. And I haven't eaten dinner, so.
JULIAN: Oh, no!
LIZ: We can end it now. I do have one last cover for us to close out with. So this is, according to my very quick google search, is the Fire and Ice UK cover. And--
PAZ: Oh, what?
LIZ: Here it is. [laughing]
PAZ: What is this font?
LIZ: I think one of them is Papyrus.
JULIAN: It's not Papyrus, but it's like a very, like, jokey--
LIZ: It's very close.
JULIAN: Like handwriting font.
PAZ: It's in the Nickelodeon slime color. I want to be clear.
JULIAN: So the top of the cover is just like a very HDR picture of a cat. Just like eyes to nose. I assume it's supposed to be Graystripe. It's a gray cat. Bright yellow eyes. And then against a white background, Warriors: Fire and Ice. In the Nickelodeon slime font. And then in this sort of vaguely Old English font, "friend or foe? One cat must decide." And then a little picture of an icy river.
LIZ: Beautiful.
JULIAN: I love the splash text.
LIZ: [dramatically] "Friend or foe? One cat must decide." And he has to take the whole book.
JULIAN: Cause that's not what's happening.
LIZ: No.
JULIAN: Oh. Also Erin Hunter's name in this is in all lowercase in this font that reminds me very strongly of like--
PAZ: Twilight?
JULIAN: YA romance novels.
PAZ: It reminds me of Twilight somehow.
LIZ: Yeah.
JULIAN: Yeah, I think it's the long-- the H has like a really long swoosh to it.
PAZ: The fact that there are three distinct fonts on this cover that in no way match.
JULIAN: Graphic design is our passion.
PAZ: Oh, God.
JULIAN: Wait, if this is the UK cover, were the books published in the-- the writers are British!
PAZ: Maybe, I don't know. It's a special cover.
LIZ: Didn't we cover this? Didn't-- yes. Although it does say this is sourced from Pinterest. So I couldn't tell you.
PAZ: Mm, okay, I don't know.
LIZ: Okay, let me double check.
JULIAN: Let me look at the wiki, because they have all the covers also.
LIZ: [typing] Ice UK. I'm getting conflicting theories here.
PAZ: Oh my gosh.
LIZ: Well, it's beautiful to me regardless. It's real in my heart.
JULIAN: No, I'm seeing it on the wiki as the English language, the UK edition.
PAZ: What happened?
JULIAN: And then there's an alternate version with the US cover, but bad.
PAZ: Oh my god.
LIZ: No.
JULIAN: It's like the US cover but they messed up all the sizes and also desaturated the battle scene so it's like really yellow instead of red. It's bad to look at.
LIZ: Oh yeah, I see it. It's not good.
PAZ: How did they mess up the--
JULIAN: I don't like it. I mean, it's not awful, but it's just like, not as good.
PAZ: Oh, I see it. It's not as good at all.
LIZ: That's like a Photobooth filter. They put a little frame around Fireheart and Graystripe there.
PAZ: Yeah, they went to the photo booth together.
LIZ: Aw, they're making up. Bluestripe. Sorry, Blue, Blueheart. Bluestar. Wow, I went through a lot of them there. Bluestar took them both aside to say, I hate it when you guys fight. I got you tickets to the county fair. Go have fun.
JULIAN: Sorry, I know we're just talking about covers now. I do-- the Japanese version.
PAZ: Oh, yeah. I love all the Japanese covers.
LIZ: Oh my god.
JULIAN: Which has Graystripe and Silverstream sitting next to each other but they're drawn. [laughs] They're drawn in just such a style.
PAZ: It's a very fun style. It's not a bad style.
JULIAN: It's very good. No, I love it. It's very charming. Like they're a little cockeyed. It's very folk art-y. And there's like a little red moon? Sun? Question mark? Behind them.
LIZ: Graystripe is extremely fluffy in this one, but he looks very well groomed. Like he just combed himself for his date.
PAZ: He probably did.
JULIAN: He's gotta get smooth. He's gotta get silky.
LIZ: Yeah, if you put this on, like, a dinnerware set, I'd be like, cute.
PAZ: Yeah?
JULIAN: Yeah, I would buy a mug with this on it.
PAZ: But is that is that gonna do for us, you think, for Fire and Ice? Well, for now, maybe.
JULIAN: Yep.
LIZ: Yeah.
PAZ: All right. And as always, you can find the show @staircast on twitter.com. Send in questions, [email protected].
JULIAN: Tell us how you feel about Graystripe and Silverstream.
PAZ: Yeah, you know what, maybe write in.
LIZ: Wait.
PAZ: Maybe, maybe, on our maybe book wrap up podcast, we'll get into that.
LIZ: And if you-- while you're on Twitter looking for us, if you want to find a high res-- well, a middle res glossy JPEG of that Silverstream and Graystripe Polish cover in wallpaper size, you totally can. You just have to Google it. And it shows right up. It's like the first result. So for the fans out there, I hope you find it.
PAZ: Well, yeah, I think--
JULIAN: We can also tweet it.
PAZ: We can do that, maybe, if we remember. But I do want to hear everyone's Graystripe thoughts now.
JULIAN: Yeah. Tell us how you feel about everyone's worst friend. Not to bias the audience.
PAZ: We would never. But other than that, that's gonna do it for us. So until next time, may StarClan light your path. Bye.
JULIAN: Bye.
LIZ: Bye.

Warnings: Whoo boy there’s a few. SMUT. I feel like I shouldn’t have to say that, but this is basically ALL smut. Free use agreement, and talk relating to that. [BC THIS IS FREE USE, EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS BETWEEN PAZ AND READER IS CONSENSUAL. THERE IS NO NON-CON HERE]. Choking, biting, dirty talk, fingering, some rather rough fucking, creampie, slight dumbification (affectionate) (ex: being fucked stupid), mostly clothed sex, reader is called “good girl”, praise kink, aftercare, post-sex cuddles. Mixture of fluff and smut, but some parts of this got kinda yearning/angsty, so I do apologize. Semi-bittersweet/yearning ending. Idk if I got it all, but that’s the gist.
Word Count: 4.5k
A/N: So this started as a tiny idea that grew and grew and grew until it proceeded to consume my every waking thought for the past week. (This is all thanks to @maybege, @tailorvizsla, @catsnkooks, and literally anyone else who reblogged/voted/sent in ideas or thots. This is all their fault.)
Mainly, this is a modern day AU in which Paz is a college athlete and your best friend/roommate who you enter into a free use agreement with. (FUN SIDE NOTE: IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT FREE USE MEANS YOU’RE TOO YOUNG TO BE READING THIS. GO AWAY.)
This was originally intended to be a oneshot. I am now currently plotting a series, so this idea will not be going away any time soon. Please feel free to come yell at me in my dm’s or inbox about this! I welcome the thots!
I hope you enjoy! Please lemme know what you think, I’d really appreciate it!
Paz had to fight back a groan at the sight of you, standing there in the kitchen as you worked on finishing the dishes from making dinner that night. You’d prepared some kind of casserole, which was currently baking in the oven, and you stood at the sink with the water running as you washed the pots you’d used to prepare the ingredients.
The whole apartment smelt incredible, but that wasn’t the only thing making Paz’s mouth water. You were dressed in what had to be one of his old training shirts, considering how it hung on your frame. The neckline was slipping off one shoulder, the sleeves came almost to your elbows, and the hem of the shirt brushed against your thighs, hiding the swell of your ass. He couldn’t tell if you were wearing shorts underneath the shirt or not.
Fuck, he hoped you weren’t.
You hadn’t noticed him yet, but that was about to change. He didn’t bother waiting for you to finish, he didn’t have the patience for that. He’d dropped his hockey bag and gear in the foyer and toed off his shoes and socks, so it was on bare feet that he padded silently across the tile floor of the kitchen to press the length of his body against your back, his large hands coming up to grip your waist and pull you back against him.
You started violently, dropping the pan you’d been washing back into the soapy water with a shriek, and he couldn’t help but lean down to bury his chuckle into the curve of your neck. Your hands reached out to shut off the water and you hmph’d loudly, even as you sank back into his embrace.
“Gods, Paz, you couldn’t give me some warning?” You bemoaned, your tone one of tired exasperation, likely from the fact that this was an argument you had almost every day–sometimes even multiple times a day. “Bells. I’m gonna put bells on you, I swear.”
Paz smirked, baring his teeth, and nipping playfully at the sensitive skin on your neck as his hands began to roam, enjoying the way you squirmed in his grasp. It was damn near impossible for you to stay mad at him, and he took advantage all the time, like the asshole he was.
“Where’s the fun in that, bunny?”
You sighed in a way that told Paz you were rolling your eyes, although your sigh kicked up in pitch as one of his hands snuck under the fabric of his shirt to cup your tits, revealing that you were indeed not wearing shorts. His other hand splayed across your belly, palm huge and warm as he pressed your hips roughly back against his. He watched over your shoulder as your soapy, wet fingers curled around the edges of the sink, clearly trying to ground yourself in some way.
His fingers began to pinch at your nipples, switching back and forth so neither was left unattended, the soft breathy sounds escaping you were like a symphony to his ears. You always vocalized so beautifully when he played with the sensitive parts of your body. It had almost become a game to him, to see how many different sounds he could wring from you in one go.
“Paz–” you said, warning clear in your voice, even as he rolled your nipple between two huge fingers. “Paz, we don’t have time–” your voice cut off with a squeak as he nipped harshly at your neck in remonstration.
“What’s the rule, bunny?”
Paz’s voice was a deep rumble in his chest, and you felt it vibrate through your body as well, and you closed your eyes, perhaps in an attempt to block him out. But you and he both knew just how impossible that was. All you could sense was Paz.
And he knew it. Bastard.
“C’mon, bunny rabbit. What’s our rule? I know you know what it is.”
The hand on your belly had begun to creep downwards, and his fingers were now toying with the elastic on the waistband of your panties. He was absolutely right, as usual. You knew damn well what the rule was, as it was something the two of you had agreed on shortly after beginning your stint as roommates. The whole situation was convoluted as hell, but in the end, it had come down to you not having a way to pay rent in a traditional manner, and Paz’s joking offer had turned to something more serious.
“Paz,” you whined, not sure what exactly you were asking him for. You knew you should be asking him to stop teasing you when dinner was about to be ready, but your body wanted what Paz was promising.
Paz’s hand finally stopped torturing your breast, only to pull out completely from under the shirt and come up to wrap around your throat, his hand so large his fingers easily reached the sides of your neck. He forced your head back, his grip tightening just enough to restrict airflow, but not enough to hurt you, only to prevent you from taking in a full breath. It made your legs go weak. He pressed his lips against your ear, whispering his next words.
“The rule, bunny. Now.”
Your own hands came up to grasp his wrist and forearm, although you made no moves to remove his hand from around your throat. It took you multiple tries to get the words out, but eventually you managed.
“Th-That I let you do whatever you want, when-whenever you want.”
You could feel his lips curling into a wicked smirk against your ear as his fingers tightened just a little bit more and his other hand finally crept past the fabric of your panties to cup your pussy, his middle finger easily slipping between your folds.
 “Good girl.”
You keen loudly as he strokes through your folds, the rough calluses on his hands providing a delicious friction. You were gasping for air as he held you, even as you did your best to try and grind down on his hand between your legs. He kept his tight grip on your neck until you started to see black spots at the edges of your vision, when he abruptly let go. Then, two things happened simultaneously.
First, you sucked in a deep breath, the feeling of your lungs filling with air after being restricted to only shallow breaths euphoric and almost orgasmic in of itself.
Second, you realized his grip on your neck had also been partially holding you up, and without that safety net, you slumped against him, which only pressed your cunt harder against his fingers, sending sparks of sensation shooting up your spine and causing you to cry out in shock and arousal.
Paz lazily slid two of his fingers into your cunt, slowly pumping them in and out as he ground the heel of his hand against your clit. Your eyes fluttered shut at the sensation, and your hands flew to the counter to scrabble for something to ground you, fingers tightening almost painfully on the edges of the sink basin once more. It never mattered how much the two of you did this, it always felt like the first time.
“Are you gonna keep being a good girl for me, bunny? Gonna let me fuck this pretty ‘lil pussy?”
Your teeth sunk into your lower lip, worrying the flesh as you tried to hold back a moan. Paz had discovered how much you loved dirty talk–specifically his dirty talk, and who could blame you, the man had a voice made of sin–and you hadn’t had a moment’s peace since.
Paz nipped at your ear, mostly to bring your focus back to him. “What happened, bunny? Aren’t there any words inside that pretty head of yours? Or am I just being too distracting?” As his voice dropped lower, Paz cupped your tits again, this time over his shirt which added an extra level of friction as he tugged at your nipples. The air whooshed out of your lungs, and you gasped desperately for more as you tried to form a reply that wasn’t just begging him to get on with it and fuck you already.
“Hmm, I guess I don’t really need your permission, do I?” His hand withdrew from your panties, making you let out an involuntary whimper at the loss, your pussy clenching around nothing. You hated the feeling of emptiness now, especially when you knew what it felt like to have him inside you. “After all, you’ll let me do whatever I want, whenever I want. Isn’t that right, bunny?”
Gods, you really should answer him, but you couldn’t seem to make your mouth work. Luckily, Paz wasn’t waiting for an answer, or permission. He stepped back a half step, just enough for him to have enough room to pull his cock free from his pants. He didn’t bother undressing either of you, clearly not patient enough to wait. He simply yanked the fabric of the shirt you were wearing up over your ass and jerked your panties part way down your thighs. With one hand on his cock, he placed the other in the center of your back and bent you over the kitchen sink, groaning as he watched you subconsciously present for him, spreading your legs slightly.
You gasp softly as you feel the head of his cock nudge gently against your slit, swallowing harshly as you feel Paz just stroke your folds with his cock, coating the head in the slick wetness that had begun to pool there. He teased you by slowly beginning to press against your opening, only to back away at the last second.
It felt so good, but it also wasn’t enough. You knew it, and he knew it. Finally, he notched the head of his cock at your entrance, and with just a little bit of pressure, the head of his cock popped in your cunt, and he began to sink into the waiting warmth.
Your mouth fell open, but no sound came out as he began to stretch you with his dick. Paz wasn’t a small man by any estimation, a fact which applied to all of him, as you’d learned when you started this little agreement. No matter how much he used your body, how much he fucked you, it was still a stretch to take him every time. You were always so tight around him, something he loved to praise you for.
“Shit, bunny.” You shuddered at the wrecked sound of his voice. “Shit, shit, shit, you always take me so fucking good.” His hand left the small of your back to grasp at your hip, helping to rock you back so he could sink further into you. His fingers spread wide over your hips and gripped tight, easily controlling the pace as he forced you to take inch after inch. You could feel your legs beginning shake and you were suddenly grateful for the extra support of the kitchen sink, because without it you’d surely be collapsing into a puddle on the tile floor.
After what felt like forever, you finally felt Paz’s hips press flush against your ass as he bottomed out inside your cunt. He held himself still for a moment, his thumb idly brushing against your side as you once more adjusted to the feeling of being stretched and filled. You’d never tell him, but a part of you always ached whenever he wasn’t stuffed as deep inside you as he could get. He’d only tease you, and you’d much rather he spent the time fucking you, especially since you knew one day, you’d have to let this agreement go.
Just as you were becoming adjusted to the sensation of being filled to the brim, and your fingers were starting to uncurl from their death grip on the sink, Paz decided that was the perfect time to move. He pulled his hips back, not enough to leave the warmth of your pussy, but enough that when he thrust back in, his hips slammed against your ass, pushing you up on your tiptoes as he shoved you further into the counter with the force of his thrust. The action punched a choked gasp out of your throat, which only seemed to spur him on as he began to fuck you in earnest.
He never pulled all the way out, preferring to only withdraw part way before burying himself back in your cunt, and the effect of the short, sharp thrusts was devastating. It felt like you couldn’t get enough air into your lungs, every new breath punched out of you by the force of his hips colliding with your ass. The sound of skin slapping against skin filled the kitchen, and you felt tears begin to well up in the corner of your eyes as he fucked you like he’d never get the chance again.
He felt so big from this angle, impossibly so. It felt like he was in your throat he filled you so good. It made sense that his favorite position was bending you over random pieces of furniture or planting you on your hands and knees on the bed.
“That’s it,” he grunted, his voice deep and gruff and sending shivers down your spine. “Just take it, bunny. Take it.” You wanted to respond, whether with some smartass comment or a plea for more you weren’t sure since your brain had begun to melt, but you didn’t have enough air in your lungs to form anything other than whimpers and moans.
Those whimpers and moans just about turned to screams when Paz seemingly decided that the leverage he already had wasn’t quite enough, and released your hip with one of his hands, only to reach out and grasp your shoulder, using his new grip on your body to pull you back even harder onto his cock with every thrust of his hips. With this new leverage and the slight change in angle, he began to pummel upon that spot deep inside you that made you see stars, and your eyes began to roll back in your head.
Suddenly, a loud beeping filled the kitchen, and it took you longer than it should to realize the timer was finished on the oven, and that it was time to take the casserole out. It took even longer for your tongue to try and form the words to tell him.
“P-P-Paz,” you stuttered, voice breaking in time with his thrusts. “T-T-The f-f-food!”
His dark chuckle seemed to fill the room, and he somehow, impossibly, picked up the pace, punching little “uh, uh, uh’s” out of your throat with rough thrusts. You were honestly worried about the kitchen sink breaking underneath your grasp.
“I don’t think so, bunny. I’m not finished yet, and neither are you for that matter.” You let out a weak little moan at his words, not quite processing exactly what he was saying, but knowing somehow that he was going to explain it anyways. “Tell you what. If you can tell me the name of the dish you made, I’ll stop and let you take it out of the oven. What do you think bunny? Does that sound fair?” His voice had taken on a kind of condescending tone, and had you had your wits about you, you probably would’ve smacked him for it. As it was, you could barely register the tone, much less the words.
“Well? Do you have an answer, bunny?”
He suddenly stopped thrusting, letting go of your shoulder in favor of wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you upright so that your back was pressed tight against his chest. His nose brushed against the side of your head as he whispered in your ear.
“What’s the name, bunny? Just gotta answer me, that’s all you’ve gotta do.”
Fuck, you had no idea what he was asking you. While he’d stopped thrusting, he was instead choosing to grind his hips into yours, ensuring that you felt every ridge and vein of his cock brushing up against your walls, making your muscles clench and your thighs tremble. There was only one name that was in your mind and making its way past your lips with the state you were in.
“P-Paz?” You muttered, voice quiet and more than a little dazed. He smiled, you could feel it against your neck where he’d begun to place kisses, but it wasn’t a cocky smile like you’d seen him give to fangirls on campus or the news reporters who came to comment on his games and interview the players. No, this was his smile that was just for you, the smile that you saw when he stumbled out of bed in the mornings sore from practice the previous day to see that you’d made him breakfast, or when he came home in a snit, and you didn’t do anything except open your arms to offer a hug. It made a fire burn low in your belly, made you feel as though you’d done something right, something to be proud of, that maybe you were worthy of love and praise.
“That’s it, bunny. I’ll take care of you, don’t worry.” As he began to thrust again, although at a more sedate pace than before, his free hand left your hip to creep down to your pussy, feeling the way you stretched obscenely around him, his fingers brushing along your sensitive folds, before playing with your swollen clit. “That’s my good girl.”
You preened at his words, and you finally let go of the sink with one hand, to reach up and tangle your fingers in his hair as he continued to lavish kisses on your neck. You desperately wanted to pull his lips to yours, to remind yourself of what he tasted like, but the small part of your brain that wasn’t hazy with pleasure cruelly reminded you that kisses weren’t part of the agreement. Paz was free to do whatever he liked to your body, but kissing wasn’t on the table. It had been your choice, your decision, to try and prevent your heart from fracturing more than it already had. Of course, it probably didn’t matter in the end. You were already in far too deep. You could only hope that when he inevitably found out, he’d throw you a life raft instead of leaving you to drown.
Your attention was quickly brought back to the here and the now as Paz began to circle your clit roughly with his fingers, his hips snapping against yours a little more urgently than before. You realized with a start just how close you were, the way your muscles were beginning to tense up, the way your belly began to tighten, and your thighs began to shake even harder. Paz was clearly close too if his accelerated breathing was any indicator.
“Are you gonna let me come in this pretty ‘lil pussy, bunny?” He breathed in your ear, the cockiness in his voice just barely covering up the begging in his words. “Gonna let me fill you up like a good girl? Like you deserve?”
Oh, that sounded so good. It was something you and Paz had talked rather seriously about at the start of all this. He’d never made it a secret that he didn’t really enjoy condoms, but he also said they were non-negotiable in all of his relationships, until this whole agreement with you. He’d said it was a mix of trying to prevent pregnancy and avoid STDs, but when the two of you had actually sat down to discuss what all your little roommate agreement would entail, and you’d offered to go on birth control so he could forgo the condoms, he’d been struck dumb for a good minute. You both had gotten tested and had decided to regularly get tested even though you weren’t planning on sleeping with other people at the moment, and the new implant on the market boasted a 100% pregnancy prevention rate since its debut a few years earlier. So, condoms had been nonexistent during your agreement, which had led to the discovery of Paz’s… fixation.
He loved coming inside you. You were pretty sure it was his favorite part of the whole agreement. You knew he wanted kids one day, and you figured the idea of him coming inside you fed into that desire of his. It wasn’t hurting anything, so you’d never discouraged it. In fact, you also enjoyed it a surprising amount, far more than you’d ever expected. With your ex, Parjai, the idea of him fucking you without a condom had always made you squirm, but never with Paz.
You weren’t examining why that was too closely. Nope. Not at all.
A particularly harsh snap of Paz’s hips brought you out of your head and back into the moment. You realized he was waiting for you to answer him, and you nodded your head, not trusting your voice not to break if you tried to answer him verbally.
Paz moaned deeply at your answer, his thrusts picking up the pace as he worked your clit, attempting to get you to come before he did. “Gods, my bunny ‘s so good to me,” he slurred, sounding suspiciously punch-drunk. “Gonna let me fill ‘er up, gonna let me come inside. Gonna lemme fill ‘er so full everyone knows she’s mine.”
You weren’t sure if it was just good timing, or if his words actually pushed you over the edge, but as he growled the word ‘mine,’ the coil snapped and your whole body stiffened up as you came, and you came hard.
Clenching uncontrollably on his cock, you began to tremble even harder in his hold, your legs practically useless. You surely would’ve collapsed if not for Paz. Luckily, his arm was a band of beskar around your waist, and he kept you pressed tight against him as your whole body shook with your orgasm. You figure it was the sensation of your release that triggered his own, and with an almighty growl, he came too, his hips stuttering and losing their rhythm as he fulfilled his promise and filled you up.
Every rough, unsteady, uneven jerk of his hips pushed you closer and closer to overstimulation. You were often closer to being overstimulated rather than under-stimulated with the frequency that Paz indulged in your body, and sessions like this only made it worse. Paz seemed to love how shaky you got when you were overstimulated, how much your legs trembled, how broken your breathing sounded. There was a reason he’d made sure you picked a safe word, because when he got in the mood, he wouldn’t stop for anything short of the world being set on fire.
Finally, he stilled inside of you, his fingers stopping their torturous assault on your abused clit. You sagged against him, eyes shut as you felt your heart rate begin to slow and your breathing even out. Paz simply held you tighter, his arms wrapping more securely around your stomach and pulling you back against his chest. He always became a cuddle-bug after sex, something you’d secretly been thrilled to discover.
The sound of your name falling from his lips drew you out of the haze you’d settled into, and you hummed softly to signal that you were now paying attention or attempting to at least.
“Thank you, bunny,” Paz said, his voice soft and low, a true sign of how relaxed he was. “I really needed that today.”
You made a face, your nose scrunching up slightly as your brain sluggishly thought over his words. “Y’don’ need t’ th’nk me, Paz,” you slurred, your tongue feeling far too heavy in your mouth. “‘m here, y’know. F’r you.”
He chuckled, the sound surprisingly self-deprecating. He could get maudlin sometimes, after your little sessions. It seemed like today was one of those times, and had you been more coherent, you would’ve pressed. But you weren’t, so you didn’t.
When he spoke, the traces of self-deprecation were gone, and back in place was the cocksure attitude you’d grown used to from your best friend-turned-roommate/fuckbuddy.
“Did I fuck all the thoughts outta your pretty head, bunny rabbit?” You frowned, or tried to, at least. “Awe, that’s ok,” he crooned. “Just lemme take care of you, now. You take such good care of me, it’s only fair I return the favor.”
He slowly pulled away, managing to keep you upright while he rearranged his and your clothes in an effort to look like he hadn’t just fucked you stupid. Just as you were beginning to sway dangerously, your legs feeling far too much like Jell-O, he picked you up bridal style, and began to carry you out to the couch.
You should’ve been content to just stay cradled in his arms, but something was nagging at you, something important, if only your brain was capable of forming coherent thought. Like usual, however, Paz seemed to know your mind better than you knew it yourself. He placed you gently on the couch, pressing his lips briefly to your forehead before pulling back. Your eyes slowly opened, and you whined quietly at the loss of his heat. He only smiled down at you.
“It’s alright, lemme just go and take the food outta the oven, bunny. I’ll be right back, I promise.”
Ah.
Right.
The food.
You’d honestly forgotten.
You felt like you should be mad at him for distracting you, and likely burning dinner, but you couldn’t muster up the energy to express anything other than exhausted satisfaction. You sank down into the couch cushions, eyes falling shut again as Paz left to go take care of the food. Your body ached pleasantly, and you honestly could’ve fallen asleep then and there if it weren’t for the promise of Paz coming back to cuddle with you.
It felt like no time at all–although your current perception of the passage of time was unreliable at best–that you felt your body being carefully lifted again as the warm, muscled form of your best friend slid onto the couch behind you. He was always so gentle, unbearably so sometimes, and this was no exception. He settled into a reclined position, with you lying mostly on top of him, your face able to easily nestle into the crook of his neck. He slung an arm across your waist to better hold you, and the last bits of tension drained from both of your bodies near simultaneously.
Now that you were fully settled, you felt yourself beginning to drift off to sleep. As you teetered on the edge of unconsciousness, you whispered quietly into heated skin.
“Love you, Paz.”
As the blanket of sleep fully settled over you, you missed his equally soft, and strangely melancholic response.
“I know, bunny. Love you too.”

But basically Fitz and Olivia know each other because their daughters are best friends and they get closer because their daughters go on a school trip together and theirs an accident, but then it turns out no one was seriously hurt and later on Fitz invites Olivia and her daughter to go on a summer vacation with them. If you can find it that'd be awesome!
#27 - The Road To Vermont. Is there an update about this story? Who is the author? Did it get removed?

And I think towards the ending of the story Olivia had moved to the state Fitz was in and started looking for office space?? Tumblr media
Work was boring.
Or rather, it wasn’t boring but your thoughts kept drifting to much more exciting prospects. Like the next meeting at the motel.
Boba had messaged you that he had gotten scheduled for the midnight calls almost all through the next month and had suggested you meet on Fridays instead. But since Fridays were your yoga course days, and the only real opportunity for you to go out and meet new people and potential friends, that was not an option either. And so, you had remained on Saturdays - even if it meant he wouldn’t get to stay the night.
Even over the phone, you could see the reluctance he had to agree to it. (“I’d prefer if I could buy you breakfast the way I buy you dinner,” had been his exact words to which you had only smiled.)
So now it was Thursday, almost the end of the week, and you could not wait to get back home, to get to the end of the week and into the motel and, most importantly, to Boba.
With a groan, you let your head onto your desk in your cubicle. All around you, you could hear the tapping of the keyboards, people talking, phones ringing, the alarm of the printer going off when there was – once again – not enough paper there. Even sitting at your desk among a sea of people you never felt so alone.
“What are you thinking?” Nat, chewing a piece of gum, popped up on the wall of your cubicle, resting her chin in her hands. You flinched in surprise, looking up at her cheerful face. “Dreaming of mystery man from the bar again?”
If only she knew.
You smiled, “I, uh, I was just checking over these numbers again, I think I might have to start from scratch and ask marketing for the raw numbers.”
Nat popped her gum, clearly disappointed that you did not seem to share any details. “Well, Marketing really needs to get their shit together,” she grumbled, “I had to ask them for the full numbers – twice! – last week. can you believe that? Twice!”
“Now that I have them in front of me, it’s not that hard to believe,” you grinned, leaning back in your chair and looking up at her, “But that is not why you came to talk is it?”
“Well,” she sighed dramatically, sending you a wink, “Since you don’t let me live through your love life – you want to come for drinks this Saturday? Me and the girls want to check out a new restaurant in town, I’m sure you’ll like it.”
“I’d love to but I already have plans,” you declined, your heart skipping a beat at the thought of whom you had plans with, “Maybe next time?”
For a minute, you were afraid that maybe she would be suspicious. That maybe she would keep asking you about Boba and you would have to dodge your questions.
But thankfully, Nat seemed to have completely forgotten all about your love life.
“Sure!” she perked up, throwing a look towards the kitchen, “Wanna do lunch together? I’m starving.”
You nodded, smiling when you heard her basically skipping her way to the kitchen from her cubicle. Grabbing your phone, you went to follow her.
*
Nat kept talking about one thing or another, completely oblivious to the internal fight you were just hashing out in your head.
Never had your phone looked more menacing.
You did not know when or how exactly but somewhere in the two minutes it had taken to microwave your food, a tiny little thought had manifested itself in your mind.
Boba had asked for your wishes the last time and you had been too nervous to think about them. But surely, with the safety of a screen between you, you would be able to articulate at least some of them?
Then again, would he even want that? After all, it was not Saturday and maybe he did not want to have that kind of contact out of your agreed meeting hours?
You tapped your fingernails on the table top before deciding to just fuck it.
You: I want you to fuck my mouth.
There. It was sent. It was done. You had half a mind to switch your phone off and never look at it again, you felt that embarrassed. But before you could do so you saw how the read notification popped up and now it was like a car crash you couldn’t look away from. Boba had seen it. It was too late now. Shit, what had you done?
Boba: So princess has some dirty wishes after all.
Boba: Any more things you want to try out?
You huffed out a laugh, shaking your head towards Nat who looked at you questioningly. “My friend just sent me something funny,” you waved off while making sure no one would be able to get a look on your phone screen.
Toys. you typed out, I’ve never got to try any and I want to try them all. Want you to use them on me.
Now I’m thinking about getting you a dildo, little one. Maybe even two. One for that tight little kissy and the other to train your mouth.
The implication made you clench your thighs and you took a deep breath, hoping no one would notice how you were almost squirming in your seat.
Lunch forgotten, your eyes were fixed on your phone as the three dots kept moving on the screen. You weren’t really sure if this counted as texting per se but you had never been this explicit with someone over texts and your heart skipped a beat as the next message appeared.
Boba: Does that turn you on?
You: Yes.
Boba: Where are you?
You: On my lunch break. Why?
Boba: Because if you’d been home I’m this close to take a half-day and fuck you silly in your own bed.
You shuddered, your thighs clenching.
I’m this close to going home sick if that’s what awaits me.
The read notification popped up but you saw how he wasn’t online anymore and frowned. You tried to avoid your thoughts of how maybe you had been too forward or too awkward or maybe he thought you were weird now for being willing to go home in the middle of the workday just to get in bed with him. But the truth was you were.
Work was boring today and while you appreciated Nat’s attempts to get talking, you didn’t really feel in the mood to talk. Besides, you knew she was just out to get more info about the bar mystery man as she called him and even though you liked her you really didn’t want to talk about Boba to anyone. So yeah, the thought of being able to go home and be able to feel Boba against you instead of going through the different numbers sounded like heaven to you.
Reluctantly, you got back to your pasta salad, aware that you only had a few minutes on your break left and trying to not spend them checking your phone constantly. How much more pathetic could you be?
“Ready?” Nat asked suddenly beside you as her friends got their dishes into the dishwasher and you nodded with a smile.
“Although when is one ever ready for work?” she asked, faking a British accent and you grinned, pocketing your phone in the pocket of your dress.
“Never,” you replied, “one can just hope it’ll be over soon.”
The dark-haired women turned to you with a conspiratory grin before twirling into her cubicle, leaving you alone to go back to your desk. You stood at the entrance of your cubicle for a moment, eyes roaming over the papers on your desk, ruined with your scribbling as you tried to decipher whatever numbers marketing had sent you.
You rubbed your hand over your face, forcing yourself to smile with the hopes that it would release endorphins or some shit. You could do this. There was no need to feel overwhelmed by this. What would be the first step to make this better?
Typing the email to Brenda from Marketing should not have been as hard as it was. But your mind was swirling with trying to find the right balance between polite and insistent because you could not afford to lose any more hours of work over something that simply could not be worked with.
Just as you were ready to give up, your phone pinged.
Boba: Sorry, business call. But believe me, little one, I can’t wait until this weekend. Would you be okay with me buying some toys for you?
You smiled, answer already ready.
*
“Shit, little one, you looked so good like that. You like that?”
You gasped for breath, eagerly nodding. A thin layer of sweat had built all over your body as you knelt on the end of the bed. You were so intoxicated by these feelings, by him, it felt like everything was on fire, getting ready to burst.
As soon as he had arrived – you being the first in the room this time around – he had framed your face in his hands and kissed you until you both been breathless. And then he had shown you the toys.
That was how you had ended up here, on the bed, completely naked, moving yourself on one of the dildos he had brought for you.
“Look at you, such a good girl for me, hm?” Boba murmured, his hands moving once again and you choked, tears stinging in your eyes from the effort of trying to relax your throat and keeping your hands behind your back as he had instructed.
Boba had not just brought one toy. He had brought two. And you while you were fucking yourself on one, thighs shaking with the effort, Boba had pushed the other down your mouth. “To train you to take me,” he had rumbled with a glint in his eyes.
A particularly hard thrust down your throat forced you lower on the shaft between your legs and you moaned, tears of pleasure and despair pricking your eyes. He was still completely closed, looking as dominant as ever and you could feel your clit and y our nipples aching wanting to be touched and played with.
You whined, drool slipping down your chin and Boba showed mercy, slowly pulling the toys away from your mouth. “What is it, little one?” he asked, “What’s got you all teary-eyed, hm ?”
“My – my nipples are so sensitive,” you pleaded with him, “Please, please touch them, Boba.”
He grinned darkly, running the tip of the dildo over your wet lips. “So, touch them.”
You shook your head as best as you could, wanting to remind him of the one rule he had set for you but then he pushed the toys back into your mouth. Your back arched as you leant forwards, humming when the dildo shifted inside you and even more so when your chest brushed against the rough material of his shirt.
It was like little pricks of pleasure coursed through you.
Boba looked down at you, the blue dildo still in his hand and you felt heat seep into your cheeks. From shame? Maybe. But all you felt arousal as you saw the admiration in hid ryes.
“How desperate you look,” he mused, his fingers holding your chin, “How pretty. Just for me.”
“Yes,” you gasped, mouth falling open as you sank down on the toys again, your nipples brushing over the harsh fabric, “J-just for you.”
“My pretty little fucktoy,” he smiled, leaning down and kissing you open-mouthed. You gasped into him, pleasure overtaking you and when his hand wandered down to your right nipple, pinching and pulling it sharply, you came. Everything in your body tightening before it felt like you were bursting at the seams, the sudden wave of pleasure making you whimper.
Where you had been so precariously balanced on top of the dildo, now you lost your balance, completely falling against him but Boba was there to catch you.
“Good girl,” he mumbled, his hand still squeezing your tit, “Think you have another round in you?”
Your eyes fell to the very obvious bulge in his pants and you nodded eagerly. Even with your legs still trembling from your orgasm, you were already carving more. More of this, more of him and the pleasure he could give you.
With calloused fingers gently wrapped around your forearm, he helped you up.
You followed willingly, letting him turn around until you were facing the bed, sheets messy where you had kneeled.
“I’m going to let you choose, little one,” he murmured into your ear, his warm body pressed against your back. You could hardly concentrate with your hands on your skin like that, one hand holding you by your throat while the other dipped between your folds. “Which toy do you want to fuck now?”
First, you were disappointed that apparently you did not get to fuck yourself on his cocks but then his finger swiped over your clit and you shuddered.
“Answer me, princess,” he growled, his hand slightly tightening on your throat, “Or are you too cockdumb already?”
“Nuh-uh,” you tried to shake your head just as much as your legs were shaking from the pleasure he was giving you. You tried to focus on the toys. The one you had used already and the one he had had you suck off. The blue one was glistening from your juices and your thighs clenched at the thought of having it inside you again.
But the other one, the purple one, was much thicker than the blue and you knew it was closer to what Boba’s cock actually felt like.
“The purple one,” you murmured, head leaning back against his shoulder and he mouthed at your neck, humming in satisfaction.
“You’re so kriffing sexy, you know that?” he whispered, planting a playful bite on your shoulders before leaving you alone in the middle of the room. You whined, pressing your thighs together as you saw him so meticulously prepare for what seemed to be the next scene he had had in mind.
With a soft towel spread on the floor in front of the armchair, Boba looked at you as he sat down, legs spread wide before planting the dildo on the towel. “I think good girls deserve a treat,” he murmured, working on his pants before getting his weeping cock out and you swore your knees were that close to giving out underneath you.
You gaped at him, practically falling on your knees with your hands placed on his thighs. The impact made a dull sound and your heart skipped a beat as he immediately leant forward, fingers gripping your chin as he searched your face for any sign of pain.
“I know you’re eager to suck my cock, little one,” he smirked, “But no need hurting yourself over it, yeah?”
“Yeah,” you breathed, feeling a little embarrassed for how needy you were being.
Boba smirked, leaning back in his seat but not before running the pad of his thumb over your bottom lip. Your eyes flicked down to his weeping cock, your mouth watering at seeing how a drop of precome had already collected at the tip.
Without thinking any further, you sank down on the dildo, mouth falling open at how it stretched you. You ducked down, closing your lips around his shaft and taking him as deep as he would go in one smooth movement.
Boba groaned loudly above you, one hand going to the back of your neck to keep you there. Just like your pussy, he filled your throat completely, your tongue feeling as if it was running out of space so you did your best to press it against the underside of him, wriggling along the prominent vein he had there.
Tears gathered in your eyes again and you moaned as the toy inside you hit a spot the previous one couldn’t. Your hips stuttered, slowly starting to grin against it in hopes of it hitting that spot again. You did not move your mouth from him.
“Fuck you look good like that,” he praised you, his free hand coming around your throat and you tried to swallow when you felt his thumb rub over the bulge in your throat. You had not even realized how far you had taken him but when you saw the grin on his face, his eyes glazed over in pleasure, you felt proud of yourself for making him feel like this.
Slowly he pulled you off his length and you followed, gasping for breath when you could. A trail of saliva connected you still to him and through your lashes, you looked up at him. Even now he was a sight to behold, jaw clenched, a glint in his eyes.
You would do everything to please him.
“Don’t think I can last long, little one,” he grumbled, lips twitching as he spotted how you still moved your hips, “Think you can come before that? Don’t want to leave you hanging.”
You nodded, rising on your knees again just like before and sinking back down, moaning when it hit that sweet spot.
“Good,” he smiled, warping his hand around his cock, “You can touch yourself how much you. Just want you to come for me, okay?”
“Okay,” you smiled, obediently opening your mouth to take him in again. Your fingers went to your clit, circling it to spread around the wetness that was already making its way to the towel. You gasped, hips jerking at the pleasure.
Boba groaned, rubbing the head of his cock along your tongue, precoma coating your taste buds. He pushed your head down again, quickly building up to a rhythm that had you choking and gagging, spit trailing down your chin, making you feel filthy and desired.
One hand came up to your chest, pinching your nipple and throwing you off the cliff. Your moan got interrupted by Boba shoving himself down your throat even more and you shook where you sat, your wetness coating the toy until all you could hear were obscene squelching sounds from between your thighs.
“Where did you want my come little one?”
“On my face, please,” you gasped.
A deep, guttural groan left him and you opened your mouth even wider, sticking your tongue out as your fingers played with your nipples. Hot roped of come splattered on your face, landing on your brows, your nose, your tongue, dripping down your chin and onto your chest. Boba continued pumping his shaft milking himself of every last drop and collecting it on his thumb before gently spreading it over your cheek.
“Did I do good?” you asked, heaving for breath.
“You were perfect,” he rumbled, scooping some of his come onto your tongue and you swallowed eagerly.
You shifted on your knees, wincing when the dildo moved inside you.
Boba leant down to you, his hand carefully holding you by the elbow as he stood up slowly, taking you with him. Your legs were shaking from the strain and your knees hurt from straightening them. You shivered.
A soft kiss was pressed to your lips and he led you back to the bed. The fabric was cool under your fingertips and you took a shaky breath. His warm hands were on your shoulders, thumbs brushing the skin as he looked down on you.
“Let me get you something to clean up, okay?” he murmured.
You nodded silently. He disappeared for a moment and you simply sat there, wringing your hands and trying to focus on your surroundings. Everything was fuzzy still, pleasantly warm from your orgasms but you also felt could now that it was over.
You heard the sink run in the bathroom and a moment later, Boba was in front of you again, a warm cloth in his hands that he gently ran over your face.
“Look up at me, little one,” he murmured and you did, closing your eyes as you tilted your face towards him. With gentle movements, he cleaned your face but you were too tired to smile. You felt drained but in a good way, like your limbs were too heavy from pleasure to really move and so you just let the feelings wash over you.
When he was finished, his hand came up to cup your cheek and you leaned into him.
Boba hummed, “Would you like to take a shower or a bath?”
“Bath, please,” you croaked, flinching as you heard how hoarse you sounded. Boba’s lips quirked up and he nodded. Slowly he guided you to the tiled bathroom, sitting you down on a towel at the edge of the tub before getting the water running.
You frowned, the rushing water almost too loud in your ears. Boba turned around, spotting you curling in on yourself and just like that he had you in his arms.
“It was a bit intense, wasn’t it?” he asked quietly, his lips brushing against your ears and you nodded, burying your head in the fabric of his flannel.
“I – I don’t know why I feel this way,” you whispered, “this … sensitive.”
“You’re coming down from a high, little one,” he explained, thumb brushing the back of your neck, “It’s normal to feel a little exposed. But I will make sure, you’re okay, okay? Anything you need, princes, you just tell me, yeah? Anything.”
“Okay,” you whispered, already feeling a bit better with him here.
You did not know for how long you stood there, but when the water shut off and Boba helped you in the tub you sighed in content. The water was just the perfect temperature and you sunk in with closed eyes, the only thing guiding you being Boba’s hands.
“I will get us some food, okay?” he asked quietly, sitting at the edge of the tub and holding your hand. You had never felt this cared for. “I will get us the same order as the last time, does that sound good?”
You nodded with a smile. He stood up but you held onto his hand, only letting go when the distance became too much. Stars, you were really fucked out good, weren’t you?
With your eyes closed in relaxation, you could only hear his low chuckle as he got ready to leave. The door to the room closed not long after. You soaked in the tub for what felt like an eternity. The water was warm and you were positively surprised by the scent of the motel shampoo. It certainly was not as bad as you thought it would be.
Slowly you felt yourself coming back to reality, feeling more energized and more awake and aware of your surroundings. Boba had not come back yet so when the water got a little too cold for your liking, you decided to get out anyway.
You got dressed in your nightgown you had taken with you – thankful that Boba had left it for you on the counter in a moment of foresight –, hurrying barefoot over the carpet into the bed.
Just as you turned on the TV, the lock of the door turned and a whistling Boba came in, arms laden full of brown paper bags.
“You got more than last time,” you stated, frowning as you saw him put down a second paper bag on the small TV desk.
“Well, I won’t be able to buy you breakfast tomorrow, now will I?” he replied, “Thought I could take care of that now and then you don’t have to worry about it tomorrow.”
“Oh really?” you asked, sitting up on your knees, not minding when the blanket fell down, so you could at least make an attempt to peer into the bag.
Boba chuckled, indulging you by handing you the mysterious food bag and immediately you took a peek. There, neatly arranged, was a croissant, a chocolate muffin and what looked like a little breakfast sandwich.
“I’d keep the sandwich in the fridge,” Boba commented from the other side of the room, already taking out the familiar smelling food containers. He did not seem to know how your heart swelled in your chest at the sweet gesture.
You knew he had wanted to be here for breakfast – he had literally told you so on the phone – but when it was clear that Saturday would remain your meeting day of choice, you thought he had just shrugged it off. Maybe it had just been a flirtatious remark?
But the fact that he had gone out of his way to somehow show you he had been serious about what he had said made butterflies appear in your stomach.
“It’s very sweet,” you murmured, looking at the way the muscles in his back moves as he fished for the plastic utensils, “You didn’t have to.”
“But I wanted to,” he replied easily, still smiling when he turned around and carried the food with him, “Now let me slip under that blanket, princess, what will we watch?”
You giggled, watching this giant man carefully position himself on the bed, before stretching out his arm, offering you the food to eat and his chest to rest against once again.
“I could get used to this,” you murmured, taking a bite of the pita.
“Me too, princess,” he rumbled, “Me too.”

Darling, it's not me who is trying to kill you! It's just that the buckets are too skkskskhsslsk 🥵
Paz and you playing hide and seek in the forest?
He'd go 100% soldier on a mission mode and find you in no time,
''Looks like I found my precious target'' ,
You being all smol and scaweed 🥺😫,
Then he goes apeshit, wrestling you so hard against the tree that it'd leave marks on your back,
If you were camping in the mountains, he'd pack the tiniest tent and sleeping bag possible to stay as close as it'd be possible,
Paz thinks when you are with him there is no personal space,
Omg, you on top of him, being pounded mercilessly as he'd trap you so hard with his hands around your back,
He'd also press his palm against THE BULGE and nut instantly after he felt your pussy gripping his dick,
Okay, let's stop because, dear god we 'bout to bust, aren't we?
One day you decided to surprise Paz at his work,
You sneaked to the kitchen by the back entrance and hugged him from behind,
He'd slowly turn to face you big smile plastered on his face,
Until he saw what you were wearing,
You put on this baby blue flowy dress,
''Sweetheart, you are looking like a snacc''
My lovely little cupcake, might as well eat you here and now''
He just lifted you with one hand like you weighted nothing and sat you on a counter,
He quickly got rid of your panties (he totally stole them from you because he loves your taste and smell) and was eating you out like a starved man,
Even tho he was cooking all the time, he'd always be hungry for you,
You trying to cover your mouth with your hands so his employees and dinners wouldn't hear you,
But he was fast ro grab your hands and just chuckle saying
''Sweetness, I am the ownere here, right? So let me hear these pretty noises of yours, let people know how good I make you feel''
DID I SAY WE NEED TO CHILL OUT? GUESS I CAN'T STOP MYSELF SORRY
Din would text you through the day and it's a mix between:
''Good morning, my sweet girl, Did you sleep well?'', ''Baby, remember to eat your breakfast'', ''Have you drink enough water today?'',
''Daddy, can't wait to get back home to you'', ''Babygirl, my dick is painfully hard right know, been thinkin' too much about your pretty, little pussy'',
Din is a SHY 😊 and sweet mean, he loves being silly with his class, but the daddy thing makes him wild,
Din you better wash out your mouth with a soap lol,
When you visited him and Grogu to catch up with them, he couldn't keep his cool,
Seeing you playing with Grogu and being so motherly towards the kid sparked something in Din,
When Grogu settled for his afternoon nap, Din would grab you and pin you against the wall, one hand resting on your chest the other tucking hair behind your ear, growling in this rich chocolate timber:
''Sweet girl, you have no idea what you do to daddy'',
But when you innocently sit in his lap in public, he gets all shy and blushy, hesitantly resting his hands on your thighs,
Umm dirty secret? He once stole your white bra and used it to relieve himself when you were away 🤭,
Don't wear low-cut clothing around him or he'd end up crashing into something or landing on his ass,
9/10 times you'd catch him trying to sneak a glance at your tiddies and being all embarrassed when caught,
Giving him a tiddy job but being also able to succ his tip too because he is so well-endowed, Din.exe has stopped working, nutted to death,
If there were more buckedheads I don't know if we could keep on writing these,
Boba lives off his authority and power,
You wanting to keep your relationship professional impressed him a lot,
You weren't another young, stupid girl chasing after his money,
There was going to be another charity event, he send you a beautiful Tiffany choker to pair up with your outfit,
He almost came in his suit pants, when he noticed you giving a speech at the event, wearing his present,
After you were done speaking, he came up to you and the group of other attendees you were talking with,
'' Miss, your speech was really touching and thoughtful '' you instantly feelt so proud, being praised for your hard work in front of all of these people, cheerfully smiling at him,
Before you had time to respond, he got closer to you, smirk crawling up on his face and whispered:
'' Also, this necklace suits you so nicely, princess''
You just got flustered and said to him:
'' Thank you, sir'' while bitting your lower lip,
Well next thing you knew, you were being kidnapped to the parking lot, Boba literally throwing you onto backsit of his car,
Thank God you decided to wear garters and stocking that night
I have nothing more left to say. - 🐣
This AU is just getting better and better, you are such a genius...
Hid and seek with Paz 3729201/10, best fucking idea
Paz just goes absolutely ape shit watching his cock buldge out your belly
Paz stealing your panties whenever he can 😭😭😭
Paz does not understand personal space when it comes to you
He HAS to be touching you in some way when you are around
Holding your hand, hand around you waist, arm around your shoulder, slipping his hand into the back pocket of your jeans
When he first sat next to you in your booth at his restaurant and your thighs touched, his heart soared when you didn't pull away from him
Paz and yours first date, was really like your 12th, but Paz took you to a strawberry farm
Held the baskets as you picked the fruit, constantly telling you that you picked the best berries
After he bought a bottle of strawberry wine, which the two of you shared over a small dinner that he made
Then the next thing you knew you both were on your couch, you on his lap, having a very heated make out session
Which lead to Paz picking you up and carrying you to your bedroom, where the two of you had a very passionate and intense wrestling session
Now, Din, my sweet himbo
He gets soooo flustered with PDA
You once kissed his cheek in front of some people, and you could almost see his brain short circuiting
Din constantly checking on you throughout the day 🥺🥺🥺
He always calls on his lunch break, just to talk with you and see how your day is going and talk about his class
One day when you came to check on Grogu at school, the rest of the kids convinced you to read to them during playtime
Din had to sit behind his desk for a while because just seeing you like that made him so hard
That night he wrestled with you until he passed out
Din once asked if he could keep his cock inside of you all night long
You woke up aching and leaking from how many times the two of had cum during the night
Din had moaned when he woke up and just spulled you under him for an early morning wrestling match
Now for Boba....
Boba always makes sure that you have some kind of present waiting for you in the mornings
Flowers, clothes, jewelry, a five star breakfast, himself
Boba totally gets you the prettiest tiara for his princess
Everything you own soon becomes namebrand, because only the best for his little
The first time Boba seen you wearing one of his gifts he had dragged you into the closest empty room, and left you marked and jelly legged
Boba totally gets you a custom gun for you to carry around for safety
Its inscribed with little one
Boba likes to always have your neck covered in hickies so that people know who you belong too
Boba took you to an art show once and every painting you showed interest in he bought for you
Don't mention liking any famous painters because he will get his hands on an original piece for you
Sorry its not much but these boys are driving me up the wall....
(SEND ME THOTS!!!!)

Day 14: A Day in Mandalay
Tumblr media
We set off from Hsipaw at 5:30 in the morning, wanting to arrive in Mandalay as early as possible so we could enjoy the city, knowing the next day we had to leave first thing for a ferry. A five and a half hour journey, our typical cram-into-one-taxi means of transport would not be acceptable, even for us, for this leg.  So Paz and Yuval were in one cab, and me and the girls in the other.
The taxis were prompt. Did I say the buffalo was scary? Being in the back seat of a kamikaze taxi driver without a seatbelt was far scarier-- at one point I made him stop to dig into the seats to try to find a belt, which he did, but only the center belt… Keshet in the front and Sheleg beside me were already buckled in, thank goodness. As we reached the lower elevations, the major roadside construction and accompanying dust and pollution was evidence of anticipated increased use, so we were overjoyed that the taxi driver, without urging on our part, shut the windows and turned on the airconditioning. In fact, the night before they told us we would have to pay an additional $12 per car if we wanted airconditioning, so we were overjoyed at the complementary upgrade. Apparently Yuval and Paz’s driver was not so kind, and even used the journey to enjoy a beer or two, which added to the kamikaze fear they also experienced. Note to self: reserve VIP buses in advance, especially during festival time.
So, in our original plan, me being the seeking-out-festival-woman that I am, I had hoped we would get to a place called Kyaukse, that was about 40 km south of Mandalay, where they would be holding a special one-day festival in which townsmen dress in huge papier-mâché elephants and perform elephant dances. This outing was vetoed by my family, who decided it would suffice to watch the ceremony on YouTube, and they would imitate a dance or two especially for me if I so pleased. I conceded.
We arrived at our hotel (a whopping $17 a night, so we got three rooms as an extra bed was $15)—it had come highly recommended by Israelis. Just so you understand, Israelis who do the traveling circuit are great at sharing their recommendations, which are typically quite accurate and true. It seems most Israelis are like-minded, so the recommendations are thoroughly enjoyed, as we’ve found with restaurants, activities and guest houses. My new discovery, thanks to the kids, are the Facebook groups of Israeli travelers in a particular country, where recommendations abound and you can get thorough answers to last minute questions (and provide an answer and recommendation or two, too.). Yuval uses an Israeli travel site (Lametayel) as his main planning resource, which was literally just updated with highly accurate information about Burma.

Waiting to check in to their new home...
Mandalay hit us with the stifling heat we had anticipated all of Burma would be, but were (up to then) instead pleasantly surprised to discover perfect weather. Debating how we would make the most of our afternoon, the thought of seeing the sights in insufferable heat, though tempted by the hotel’s free bicycles, prompted us nonetheless to opt for the aironditioned taxi option, especially after learning an open air tuk tuk driver wanted more money than the hotel-recommended taxi driver. Our adorable driver introduced himself as Robert DeNiro (and Yuval subsequently introduced himself as Richard Gere). He was perfectly opinionated, suggesting what he thought we should do with the short time we had, all his suggestions being spot on, forging a perfect combination between what we wanted to do and what a local would suggest. We first had amazing Thai food, then went to the Palace, admired the Hill (which we did not have time to climb), went to a colorful Pagoda, saw the world’s largest book (mini pagodas, each with a stone tablet of the teachings of Buddha inscribed within) where our faces were painted with the traditional tharnaca, went to the largest monastery in Burma (1,200 monks) where we watched the novice monks decorate the buildings in advance of the first night of the three-day full moon festival, and were wowed at the U Bein Bridge, the oldest - built in 1850- and longest teak bridge in the world, where a monk, wanting to practice his English, asked us what we think of Bibi (yes, really) after he heard we were from Israel, and parted with a “See you later alligator”—to which I responded “In a while, crocodile!” He laughed. We marveled at the sunset.

At one of the shrines in the largest book pagoda
As much as one can “do” and experience a city and its sights in a day, we did.
As we rode back, we saw all the pagodas illuminated with candles. At the hotel, we were invited to the rooftop, where the kids lit traditional lanterns into the night sky and set off fireworks.
Perfect? Damn near close.
Reality struck as, returning to the hotel and going on-line, we realized that 96% of the hotels in Bagan (where we needed to lodge the next three nights) had been booked. Calling a few places (we had a local SIM), we learned all the reasonably priced places were full. Just a couple (literally) places were still available, one of which was more reasonably priced, though still a splurge. Having been in the mindset that we were going to do a Mandalay in Bagan (that is, a $17 hotel) we were forced (group awwwww…) to change the mindset to a splurge. Hoping it would be worth the treat, I told Yuval that I would forego the hot air balloon so we could guiltlessly enjoy a posher hotel. I subsequently told the kids that, when they’re grown and have families of their own, they will have to bring grandma and grampa to Bagan and send us up in a balloon. They agreed, and here, written and published on line, is documented proof.
A perfect day in Mandalay, I went to sleep, excited for the ferry journey ahead.
