I love slip dresses. They’re wonderfully easy (at least in my experience) to get for a good price, secondhand! I get mine on eBay. Then I wash them, often with white vinegar because they all have the same odd, overwhelming smell. You can add vinegar to your usual cycle or you can do one cycle with vinegar instead of detergent. Next, do a regular cycle with detergent. Once dry, the vinegar smell will be gone, and the former odor will either be gone or fainter. You can do more vinegar cycles, or soak in a vinegar/water ratio. If the items are satin, I iron them, and hang them straight so as not to wrinkle them. Upon wearing, I accessorize lots. I wear a black cami and black shorts for the base layer. Those are my tips for easy romantic, gothic, vampiric fashion. I wear a 3X or 22/24 in most brands, I filter my eBay search results by ‘pre-owned,’ and I give sellers a chance to send me a discount after showing interest in the item :)

eBay is also great for corsets and other lingerie to incorporate into your outfits. Torrid, Lane Bryant, and Frederick’s of Hollywood have plus size items like these that pop up on eBay. If the seller includes the brand’s name, try looking up that brand’s size chart online to see if the garment will work for you. Buying a beautiful garment only to have it be too small is very disappointing.

Under Construction

I am building out multiple streams of income in the coming weeks so that I can afford to pay my taxes. Things that require little to no overhead. One of the first things I thought of was to post LITERALLY EVERYTHING from my personal closet on a Poshmark store (you can find me at @supreme_thrift). Depending on how much traction I get in the Poshmark market, I may open my own Shopify Website to flaunt clothes and handle transactions. My goal is to provide fashionable and gently preloved elevated basics to my followers at an affordable price and with perfect customer service.

One of the first tasks - iron everything! Then, batch photography and batch posting. I've created over 130 listings in the last week and am happy to say that I've already made a couple sales! I've invested in some nice packaging and am offering additional discounts to those who purchase from my shop.

I've carefully curated each and every one of my closet pieces over the last 10 years. Some of these items you simply can't find anymore. I'm going to be posting photos modeling various items in my closet so you can get an idea of what kinds of sexy and stylish combinations you can make with my very affordable finds. Everything from savvy businesswoman to flirty 30-something refusing to grow up.

Honestly, I will never grow up. And the 9 to 5? Doesn't work for me, honey. I will always be young, healthy, and sexy. And my fashion pieces reflect that at literally all costs.

Next tasks on my list? Post another 50 listings. And then host a local pop-up thrift shop in Muncie, Indiana. Wanna come? It's an open invitation, gorgeous. Bring a reusable bag so we can save the planet together!
