Reasons why Catradora Shippers Really don’t have nothing to worry or complain about:

1). The vast majority of the She-Ra fandom ships CA.

2) It’s a lgbtq pair.

3). The creator ships them.

4). No matter where you go, it’s everywhere.

5). It’s canon.

6). Adora and Catra are finally happy.

So please tell me why does it matter that a small corner of people that you don’t know don’t ship them together? Why does EVERYONE have to ship it? Why can’t you just leave those people alone and let them like or dislike what they want? What does their opinion matter to you so much??? Just like what you like and let others like what you like. Honestly, I can get why Catradora is appealing, but I also get why it wouldn’t be to others. You have every right to like Catradora, but others also have the right to dislike it.

I kept the "single suit" look and arm and leg bracers, bc they were cool 😎

Heart belt and heart design in the sword hilt are for Bow, cheek pointies for Catra, crown brow/jewel for Glimmer, the cape has a circular moon pin at the collar (it's small here) and sparkles in it are also for Glimmer, the wings on her boots I kept but modified them to match my fankid Luna's boot design a bit. The sword I made thinner, but its more close to her original--but it's streamlined bc so is she. Growth.

And her hair is down and super long and epic, her bang in the front slopes up "hair poof" style, but not exactly a hair poof.

WMGC Is Officially Going On An Indefinite Hiatus

Hey guys! I just want to let you all know that this blog might go in a indefinite hiatus. Reasons why it is?:

-I’ve simply lost interest in running this blog.

-I’ve lost interest in a lot of these shows.�� 

-Most of the western magica girl series have even ended, went on hiatus, lost popularity, or been canceled. Most of the wmg cartons that people confess about are old.  

-Some of the confessions just repeat themselves. 

-I plan to run another blog that I’m interested in. 

What does this mean for this blog? 

Well, it says indefinite hiatus, which mean I don’t know when I’ll come back. I might come back in a week or two to knock out some more confessions. Maybe I’ll come back in a month, or a year, or even more??? I really don’t know. This blog was just something fun that I did on my free time and made me and others happy, nothing else really. 

I’m sorry guys if you’ve been waiting for months to see your confessions and get things off your chests, but I just don’t feel like running this blog anymore. I’ll come back when I feel like creating confessions again, but as of now? I think I’m done. 

What happens to the inbox?

Well, I was thinking about closing it, but...I think I’ll keep it open. You can still submit confessions if you want, BUT don’t expect me to come back so soon. You can also send me other things like questions, concerns or wishes etc. I will however be closing my messages and submissions. 

With that said, I really do appreciate every one of you who has submitted confessions in the past. It was really fun and I thank you all so much!

What are your thoughts in OTP3 ships? Would you ship team 7 together or maybe SasuSakuKarin?

Well I don’t have any romantic OT3s, and my only BROT3 in the series is Sakura, Ino and Temari. I really, really like the fact that Sakura and Ino basically became BFFs with Temari after she settled in Konoha. Before the series ended, I had always thought that if Temari were to settle in the village with Shikamaru, she may struggle to make friends, perhaps due to her role in the invasion of Konoha during Part 1. That’s why I was really pleased when I saw her friendship with Sakura and Ino in the movie. It was as if Temari had been close friends with them since the academy; they just looked so comfortable with each other:

I can just imagine the three of them occasionally meeting for coffee and discussing trivial matters without a care in the world. There was even a scene during Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 of the three of them doing just that:

They were talking about a new bean jam, tourism in Konoha, how things had changed compared to 15 years ago, Naruto as the Hokage, reminiscing about old training sessions etc. There was no talk about missions, impending threats, invasions, the end of the world or anything of the sort. Just straight up casual and everyday conversation, so it was nice to see them with their hair down.

*sighs* You know what I HATE??? Toxic and rude C//radora fans will constantly bitch and complain about anti C///A stuff getting into their tags ALL THE TIME, even having snide and rude remarks, saying things like "anywayz, Catradora is life 2020!!!" or some shit like that. HOWEVER, it's a different story when it's the other way around though. Anti Catradora fans are SUPOSED to deal with all the Catradora stuff in the tags, regardless if that person personally find it unhealthy or triggering (1)

Anti Catradora fans are SUPOSED to deal with all the Catradora stuff in the tags, regardless of it making any sense or not, just because lesbians. It makes me mad because...you can't have it both ways!? I went in the anti C//radora tags TODAY and most of the post that was in it consisted of PRO C//radora post! Now, NO ONE is going to tell me that if it was the other way around, Catradora stans will lose their manners and their cools!? Because you CAN'T do that! (2) You CAN'T complained to others about putting anti shit in your PRO tags and under the same breath CONDONE others for putting PRO things into their ANTI tags! LIKE, that's NOT how it works!? That's like trying to force your toxic ship into everyone else! PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED to dislike C//radora JUST IS MUCH as you are allowed to like your "so precious" or "realistic" F/F ship. (3) People (epsically abuse victums) who do not like c///a does NOT derserve the kind of hate that they get because of this ship. They should be able to stay in their corner just as much as C//A fans should. They don't have to sugarcoat the seriousness of this relationship and how it does Adora bit of a injustice. If C//ra had a better redemption, then fine. If C//A was better written, then fine. If EVERYONE CHARACTER wasn't written OOC for the sake of C///A, then fine. But, that's not the case. (4)

The point is, I feel like most C///A stans are hypocrites. And you know what? I don't even care at this point if any of those kinds of fans block me. In fact, I WANT them to. Because anything is better than having to listen to their hypocritical mindsets. People have the right to dislike C///A without having to be bullied or shitted on for it. And I'm tired of them acting like people don't have valid reasons to dislike it. You HAVE to like C///A, no matter how much it hurts you. UGH. (4) I completely agree! It seems to be ok for C//A shippers to run around shoving in everyone’s faces “Catradora is canon!!” (including toward people who have very personal reasons to not like the ship), but for some reason, if a few of our anti posts end up in their tags (which really doesn’t happen that often btw, I go in the C//A tag sometimes, and only like 1% of the posts in there are negative, if even that much), instead of just ignoring the person or blocking them, it’s painted as “WORST THING EVER”.

What is your opinion on the Starlights?

I like Yaten, don’t care for Seiya, and actively dislike Taiki. 

I think I would like the Starlights in general a lot more if they weren’t such spotlight hogs in the Stars season. Their heavy featuring came at the expense of both the Inner and Outer Senshi. It just feels like they were the creator’s pets for the anime writers. 

No offense to people who like them! I just don’t.

What’s your favorite Glimmadora moment in the show?

I do have a few /favorite/ Glimmadora moments... But for me, at least, the best parts of their relationship have always been in the “little things”, so--if you don’t mind, I’m gonna take this opportunity to go off a little bit about why and how much I love them:

My answer is too long for one ask! So I’m gonna make a post about this Per Season!

Season 1:

1.) I think this moment is so underrated. Glimmer, after spending just a few hours with Adora, is surrending all hope for the Rebellion to her enemy--the face of a force that has taken away her father, and her childhood, and her relationship with her mother. The fight with the Horde has defined Glimmer’s entire life, but in this moment--she trusts the good she saw in Adora and gives her the sword--and in turn her hope that the Rebellion will win. In the end... We kinda have Glimmer to thank for it all, huh? (Also look how absolutely gay this expression is when she sees She-Ra o///o... God is a woman.)

2.) Annnnnd vice versa... Right after this leap of faith from Glimmer. We see another from Adora. She has just turned her back on the organization that raised her from “birth”. It’s all she’s ever known. It’s all she’s ever believed in. Giving it up meant giving up friends and routine and security. And who is the first one to offer her a new home? A new group of friends? A new sense of security? Glimmer. This first interaction between them will always strike me as beautiful because of how much faith it took in a total stranger from both of them. And how infinitely it paid off in the end. 

3.) Small moment, but it’s so cute to me that Adora stole Glimmer’s cape to go practice being She-Ra so that she wouldn’t let Glimmer down. Amazing. Good gf material already.

4.) This is more of a best friend squad moment overall, but look how happy Adora is here.... ;-; she’s found a new home and a new family. Bless her heart. (But also Glimmer swore to take accountability for Adora in this scene and that’s basically Etherian marriage i make the rules, sorry.)

5.) This entire sequence is beyond cute, but the fact that it set the stage for the dynamic that so much of the fandom picked up on is amazing. Glimmer is a bit of a defense for Adora... from herself. In this instance, it’s funny, she stops her from running off, or touching electricity. But in other context, it implies Glimmer as a caretaker and protector from Adora--who’s hero and guilt complexes are so big, they often put her in danger in the process. idk. it’s soft. Also this episode implies that Glimmer actually sometimes encourages Adora’s more impulsive and ridiculous tendencies and their energy can be as chaotic as it is soft.

6.) ........hm... inch resting.... INCH resting....

7.) I. Adore. This. Moment. This entire episode is great, because neither Bow or Glimmer quite know how to help Adora with her trauma--but they try their hardest to let her know she’s supported and loved no matter what. Adora wakes up from a nightmare and her first words are not “Guys?” or “Wha--?” Her first word, and the persons she reaches for--”Glimmer?”

8.) Honestly, I could make a whole other compilation with how many times Adora looks at Glimmer like :pleading_emoji: ...She’s just happy that Glimmer is happy, that’s love babes.

9.) So this entire sequence is amazing and again, I think it’s not really examined for it’s context, which is: 

Adora... surrenders herself back to the Horde--really with no presumable plan other than “Let Glimmer go, you can have me in return” because she knows that will work. She knows Shadow Weaver will take that deal... Or so she thought. But I think the absolute selflessness in that act alone--returning to her captives, her abusers, for the chance that Glimmer can go free... That’s some true love, romantic knight shit. Don’t tell me otherwise. And then GLIMMER (once again, because their relationship is very give and take) breaks through the bonds that have kept her weakened, tortured and imprisoned for ..days? out of SHEER will, when she hears Adora screaming in pain. And just ... DECKS her fuckin’ abuser in the face.... And then immediately turns to free Adora. And ...once again: Adora’s first word? A gentle “Glimmer.” I can’t believe we’re only in season 1 still damn !!! LES GO

10.) Look...all I’m saying is that Glimmer left DPS Bow to deal with crowd control while she cradles Adora, okay?

11.) Glimmer is always the first one to reassure Adora that she’s not alone.... ;-; Also they’re both wearing bike shorts to a battle. Soultmates.

The Future Of Western-Magical-Girl-Confessions...

Well guys, I think we once again hit another stop. Unless someone claims this blog, I’ll be closing the doors of Western Magical Girl Confessions (and I think for real this time). Why am I considering giving up running WMGC? Well:

-I’ve been busy with real-life things.

-All the shows that I’ve once known or were interested in have ended or I’ve lost interest in.

-It seems like this has mostly become a Winx Club confession blog instead of what I attended it to be. There are other Winx Club blogs, if I wanted one, I would’ve asked. 

-There’s VERY little western magical girl shows out there anymore. Current ones are even finished or on LONG hiatuses. 

-Tumblr to me has become a dead place. It isn’t as popular as it once was. 

-At his point, people have complained about the very same things. This is especially the case when it comes to Winx Club and W.I.T.C.H. I know the point of confession blogs is to confess your heart out/get things off your chest, but sometimes, it’s just beating a dead horse. 

-I’ve honestly lost interest in it. That’s it. I fell out of love with this blog. 

-I don’t have the time, energy, or interest to run this blog anymore. 

-Also, it seems like confession blogs aren’t really a thing anymore.

I thought about just finishing up the confessions that I got in my inbox, but I honestly don’ t see the point. I’m sorry if I’m disappointing anyone, but this is my choice now. I would love to give this blog up to someone that I can trust and loves western magical girls just as much as I once did, but I’ll give this blog a couple days for someone to claim it. If no one does, I’m deleting it. 

I want to thank everyone for sending in confessions and show the confessions love like liking and reblogging. And once again, stay magical!

I heard that Sasuke’s voice actor said that the moment when Sasuke apologized to Sakura for all that he’s done and she forgave him, that’s the moment he fell in love with her. Is that true?

Yes I remember seeing Sugiyama say something along those lines in an interview before, but if I remember correctly, I believe he said how he felt that was the moment Sasuke began falling for her. Although it is important to bear in mind that he also clarified that this was just his opinion.

What are your thoughts on Scropia x Catra?

In all honesty, I don’t really like any Catra ship... I feel like she’s hurt the people who she was the closest to too much to ever have healthy relationships in the future with any of them. With Scorp//tra, all Catra did was use Scorpia and be excessively rude to her - when all Scorpia ever did was try to help her, and care about her.  You can argue all you want that “Catra treated Adora terribly, because they were on opposite sides of war.” Well, Scorpia was on the same side as her, and Catra still treated her terribly (along with all her other allies).  I know Catra felt guilty for how she treated Scorpia and apologized; but I’m honestly so glad Scorpia told her off in S4, and moved on with Perfuma instead.  Scorfuma is a wonderful pair.  So yeah, that’s how I feel about Scorp//tra... The ONLY Catra ship I would be completely comfortable with, would have to be with someone who’s completely new who she hasn’t hurt, or doesn’t have any history with (like a random girl from the Crimson Waste, or something);  and ONLY after she’s truly reflected on all her past actions, and is completely ready to be a new, healthier person - who knows how to treat the people she loves, and isn’t codependent on Adora anymore.
