WARNING: This has spoilers!
(BBC Sherlock series)
One thing I can’t get over, is how in the hell did Sherlock have as much trust as he did in john. I know they are friends, and/or ‘maybe just some plot gayness between them. But like Season S4 E2, he gets choked by culverton and he just expects john to find him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He does find him and save him, but , sherlock you expected to die, if it wasn’t for john coming to your aid because he was a step behind you. Like he was on a death mission, knowing culverton was going to kill him. A catch for a catch aye, but no word’s honestly. That is some 100% trust they have.
As well as so many other episodes where john, Mycroft or lestrade, were both just barely behind sherlocks lead. All of which it almost ends up compromised for Sherlock had people not come to help finish the job of catching the people. And don’t get me started on reichenbach fall, i wanted to cry.
Love sherlocks whole plot, and character dynamics. As you know he is cunning, but hes far from a “sociopath” of any sort; he cares to much for those close to him. He’s empathetic and aware.
Despite sherlock being a drug addict, throughout the series, and leaping towards the face of death like a laughing matter. Its so suprising so many people still see his character as someone who is a bad guy, he was a man once and always mistreated, but now a smart detective that puts himself in the front lines at the cost of himself. Just can’t get over this, been rewatching the series on loop, and this just sticks out to me so much.
Not to mention the episodes of the abominable bride, and the great game w jim moriarty.
Does anyone have anymore BBC sherlock series input?.

Dustin's Mom kinda adopted Eddie
You know when Eddie is hiding in S4 E2, and Dustin, Robin, Max and Steve go looking for him? I was just watching that. And when Eddie has Steve cornered, they all swear on Dustin's Mom that they want to help.
And Eddie lets Steve go.
When they swear on Dustin's Mom.
All I can think about is that sweet lady, who just worries about Dustin, welcoming his new friend from school. She doesn't see him as dangerous, or a freak, he's just Dustin's new friend who's given him a place at his table at lunch. He makes his son happy. That's all she sees.
When he meets her, Eddie is wary. He always is around parents. But Dustin's Mom just offers him food and worries that he's eating enough, and that he's safe, and is his jacket warm enough? Does he need anything?
Eddie has a soft spot for the lady. Her home is like a little shelter he can escape to. She is like a maternal figure for him, even if he doesn't like to think about her like that -he has feelings about maternal figures. But still. It's like she doesn't see what everyone else in that goddamned town sees. She sees just a boy, like the other boys his son hangs out with. One that gave Dustin a place in highschool. One that he admires. And Eddie is so charming, I bet he bows when he sees her, calls her Queen Henderson or something. She finds it endearing.
So when they all swear on Dustin's Mom, he trusts them.
Dustin swears on his mom, and Eddie remembers her offering them little sandwiches on a yellow plate. Robin and Max swear on Dustin's Mom, and he remembers the first time he crossed the door and she smiled at him, all warm and worried -no one worries about him like that (Wayne loves Eddie, but he doesn't go around asking that many questions, his love is more quiet and calm; she, on the other hand, makes a fuss about him being too skinny or cold. It's kinda nice). If Robin and Max are Dustin's friends, they know her. They know how she is.
If they swear on her, he believes them.
Terrified, traumatized little Eddie puts his safety at risk because of Dustin's Mom. He knows they are telling the truth.
Because the only way Eddie himself would swear on Dustin's Mom is if he was telling the truth.
Idk, just thought it was cute. Even if later on she suspects Eddie, it'd only be more heartbreaking. I'm rewatching, maybe later there is another silly little line that makes this theory crumble. For now, I'll be happy believing this. Thank you for attending my ted talk. You're welcome.

Notes:
The episode timestamps might not be totally accurate since I was watching this on a... ahem... legal website.
The timestamps are from when you could clearly and obviously see the shop signs. Like, Ziga's is visible from like episode one but couldn't be clearly read.
Some of the comics were just in shop windows and not really associated with a character so be careful. That is not a list of every comic the turtles have read. Like the Timely Times has only been in the background, not read by a particular turtle.
There were LOADS of shops where the shop name was in Chinese (or Japanese, I don't know) and so I couldn't list. Most of the shops by the Chinatown arch weren't in english. That's why even Murakami's shop isn't listed here. Because the actual shop name wasn't in english.
Thanks for reading through this. Hopefully this was useful for... anyone out there.

Hey, I'm working on my Cooliver fic. Do you have a list of episodes that are best to rewatch to get their personalities and dynamics?
okay first of all i’m honored that you thought to ask me. second of all, i’m sorry i took forever to reply but i realized i didn’t have a list so i put one together lol
the otto motto (s1 e18) is the first time the idea of oliver being gay is mentioned
the walk (s1 e 20) is sooo important for cooper. first time we see his real personality instead of just his cool kid facade. also iirc this is the first appearance of “move on to your next point”
boo-who? (s2 e5) is pretty good for early oliver. it’s got his sass, some insecurities, a touch of scheming and ofc his iconic scream. cooper’s not in it tho.
blondetourage (s2 e11) is so iconic for them. the sneakers, the phone scheme. “i’m already riding bitch on your vespa.”
all coupled up (s2 e17) is their first big fight, so if you’re writing a fight/argument this is a good one. also some good cooper & katie moments.
it’s hard to say goodbye (s2 e19) is another one without cooper, but if you’re writing sad oliver this is such a good reference; he’s really well written and acted in this episode. the cgi tears take me out tho 😭😭
here we go again (s3 e2) has them work through conflicts and like resolve a fight without intervention from katie/greg. i love them <3. absolutely banger episode for each of them individually, and them as a duo.
enemies: an otto story (s3 e4) has a good oliver scheme, and he gets cooper in on it. cooper talking about tagging along to boarding school with him makes me feel things.
trust me (s3 e5) is the absolutely iconic scooby-doo halloween costumes/making out practice episode that every cooliver writer has written about. i think it’s the first time cooper is seriously brought into the whole “oliver might be gay” bit, but i might be wrong about that (i know cooper’s mentioned the first time it’s ever brought up, but i think this is the first time he really seems like a piece of the puzzle)
body image (s3 e6) again, no cooper, but very good for insecure oliver
mo’ money, mo’ problems (s3 e13) is also so iconic in my brain. idk how genuinely important it is to either of their development, but it means a lot to me. i can’t remember who it was, but someone on here posted a really good analysis of cooper in this episode and how he’s lying to try to get oliver to not go to the party, which could be useful depending what you’re writing. also this is the first time cooper calls katie and greg mom and dad :(
insta-friends (s3 e16) is another big fight for them, and also some serious cooper daddy/mommy issues. this one isn’t super helpful for individual oliver, but it’s great for individual cooper and their dynamic when they’re mad at each other
field trippin’ (s3 e20) is a much sillier, fluffier episode than a lot of what i have on this list. silly lil scheme gone wrong. cooper’s really only in the first like half of this one tho
a mom’s parade (s3 e22) ok so hot take i don’t really like this episode that much… you can do you is very queer coded tho so it’s going on the list lol
girls’ night out (s4 e6) is just so awesome. oliver’s really sweet towards the end, and it’s bcuz of cooper. cooliver/triplor double date mention!!! tiny touch of cooper angst. greg implying that cooper holds a similar role in the family to trip. just all of it is so perfectly cooliver. this is one of their best episodes imo
hip to be square (s4 e9) is the i love you episode!!!!!!!!!!!! them fighting and then saying they love each other!!!!!!!!!!! so interesting for their dynamic!!!
a very english scandal (s4 e14) is the one where the whole school thinks oliver is gay. the one time cooper denies being oliver’s boyfriend. overall very gay episode.
all is fair in love and war reenactment (s4 e17) is a good one for them supporting each other, but not enabling each other’s shitty behavior. really good for their dynamic, and cooper’s got some good layers in this episode
senior prank (s4 e18) ohhhhh they’re such big brothers in this one i love it so much. if you wanna write them as parents this might be a decent reference. also, not cooliver related but franklin is just so iconic in this.
vacation! (s4 e19) i’ve said it before and ill say it again: this episode feels more like a cooliver fic than an actual episode. so good for both of them as individuals, their dynamic as a couple, and how cooper fits into the otto family as a whole.
prom (s4 e20) is another one that i think is good for oliver as an individual and their relationship as a pair. also big brother cooper crumbs!! (they’re very small but they’re there and they’re important to me 😌)
graduation (s5 e1) is ofc so good if you’re writing some angst. seeing how they deal with issues involving them that seem out of their control. also more cooper fitting into the family as a whole <3
psych (s5 e2) is really good for later-seasons oliver and his need for validation. also supportive bf cooper :)
coupling (s5 e3) is the episode i show ppl if i want to get them into the show bcuz it gives such a good overview of all of the characters and their relationships with each other. more cooliver fighting if you need references for that. the couple coding in this episode is so intense.
kids these days (s5 e5) is sooooo good for their dynamic bcuz it really shows how they support each other without enabling each other. i love cooper so much in this episode. “our family” <3
mother’s little helper (s5 e6) is pretty good. shows off that no matter how much they’ve grown, they’re still just dumb teenage boys.
encourage, discourage (s5 e8) is soooo good for cooper fitting into the family as a whole.
the heist (s5 e9) chef cooper origin!!!!! oliver being a supportive bf!!! i love them!!!
getting frank with the ottos (s5 e10) is a big turning point in their relationship. once again, supportive bf oliver!! they’re so cute.
the election (s5 e13) i feel like their dynamic is a little bit weird in this episode (oliver’s like weirdly chill abt once again being confronted w the idea of cooper moving, but ig it’s bcuz he has his own stuff going on) but it’s so good for sad cooper/daddy issues cooper. this is definitely a huge one for cooper angst references
okok so this is a really big list. obvs i don’t know what the plot of your fic is or when it’s set, so some of these might be much more helpful than others depending what you’re writing. these are just my suggestions of the ones that stand out as important for them as individuals and as a duo. hope this is helpful!!!! i’m excited to read your fic if/when you post it :)

Some of the things I kept track of during this M*A*S*H rewatch:
Episodes with Radar's teddy bear: 31 (mentioned in an additional four)
Episodes with kids: 24*
Episodes where Father Mulcahy is mentioned or shown to be a boxer: 12*
Episodes that feature Sophie, Colonel Potter's horse: 9
Episodes with Radar's menagerie: 11 (mentioned in one additional episode)
Episodes where Grape Nehi is shown or mentioned (by Radar or otherwise): 12
Episodes where Radar does impressions: 5
Episodes where Radar plays the drums: 3
Christmases celebrated: 4†
Characters who dress as Santa: 3
Number of wedding anniversaries Colonel Potter celebrates [February 2]: 2
Number of purple hearts that Frank puts in for himself (undeserved): 2
Total number of episodes: 251
Some firsts:
Radar's first Grape Nehi: "Welcome to Korea" (s4 e1)
Radar first name reveal [Walter]: "Quo Vadis, Captain Chandler?" (s4 e10)
William Christopher's name added to the opening credits: "Bug Out" (s5 e1)
Radar middle name reveal [Eugene]: "Fade Out, Fade In" (s6 e1)
Charles Emerson Winchester becomes Charles Emerson Winchester III: "The Price" (s7 e17)
Hawkeye's father's name reveal [Daniel]: "Sons and Bowlers" (s10 e19)
Some attempts to make sense of the timeline:
When Colonel Potter assumes command of the 4077th, he states that he expects to be in command for 18 months (s4 e2)
We also learn that Margaret has been in the army for 10 years at that time (s4 e2)
Margaret's marriage lasts about 3 months (s10 e1)
Charles spends about two years at the 4077th (s11 e16)
So does BJ; Erin turns two years old towards the end of the war (s11 e16)
*Indicates that I'm not 100% confident in my numbers
†A Christmas celebration is also referenced in "Margaret's Engagement" (s5 e2) which appears to be the Christmas in "Death Takes a Holiday" (s9 e5), as she talks about Colonel Potter dressing up as Santa.

So now that I've finally watched The Blacklist series finale ...
... I thought I'd share my Top 15 favorite episodes out of all 10 seasons it was on the air.
What? I fangirl hard. I won't apologize for that. 😏
Don't worry. I didn't just remember all of these episodes off the top of my head. I basically did a series 3-9 rewatch last fall before the final 10th season started. Then, I did a rewatch of the first 2 seasons while the 10th season ran because I couldn't remember some of those details they kept referencing.
Tumblr media
Enough dilly dallying. Let's dive in, shall we?
Btw, these are in chronological order, and I've pinched the brief descriptions of each episode from IMDB.com:
Luther Braxton (s2, e9)
The task force tries to save Red when he's arrested and taken to a secret detention facility. At the facility, Red tangles with a thief with whom he shared a complicated history. Guest star: Ron Perlman as Luther Braxton
T. Earl King VI (s2, e14)
A former paramour involves Reddington in a deadly game with a wealthy and powerful family dynasty whose ill-begotten fortune was amassed from an underground auction of human and material contraband. Meanwhile, Tom takes on a new mission.
Marvin Gerard (s3, e2)
As Liz pleads for her safety in the Russian Embassy, Red discovers a new plan devised by the Cabal to kill her. A familiar face reaches out to Ressler. Guest star: Fisher Stevens as Marvin Gerard
Kings of the Highway (s3, e8)
Red and Liz are separated when Red falls into a perilous situation. Elsewhere, Samar makes a risky choice to help Liz, and Tom and Cooper continue their quest to exonerate Liz.
Mr. Gregory Devry (s3, e11)
With her name finally cleared, Liz attempts to reclaim her former life. Red works with the task force to infiltrate an assembly of high-level criminals at large in a rare, risky opportunity to capture the heads of the world's most lethal organized crime syndicates. Guest star: Jake Weber as Gregory Devry
The Apothecary (s4, e15)
Red has to figure out who betrayed him when he's poisoned; Liz and the task force look for the toxin's designer to save Red's life. Note: Even though season 4 had my favorite "Big Bad" of the entire series, I could only choose one episode from this season to include in my top 15.
Abraham Stern (s5, e11)
Red goes on the hunt for a legendary treasure; Liz studies the methods of one of the Blacklist's most dangerous criminals. Guest star: Nathan Lane as Abraham Stern
The Osterman Umbrella Company (s6, e14)
Red directs Liz to investigate a secret organization of assassins hired by global intelligence agencies to eliminate former agents, a case with ramifications that will change the task force forever. Note: This episode is probably the one that broke my heart the most. If you've seen it, then you'll know why.
Cornelius Ruck (s7, e12)
Secluded on a private island, Red reunites with an old flame and a ring of thieves in a plot to make millions off of stolen art. Plans are quickly derailed, however, when guests on the island mysteriously show up dead. Guest star: Joely Richardson as Cassandra Bianchi Note: I really liked this one as a nice one-off from the usual formula the show followed.
The Wellstone Agency (s8, e6)
Red and Dembe go to great lengths to fulfill the final wishes of a dear friend; Aram goes undercover as an interpreter to a company that provides services to criminals; Park helps a friend in trouble. Note: The sweetest goodbye I've ever seen a TV series give to a recurring character since The Big Bang Theory.
Anne (s8, e13)
Red enjoys a quiet visit with a friend at her home in rural America. Note: Another great one-off with an ending that made me hate Liz even more than I already did.
Ivan Stepanov (s8, e17)
Red tries desperately to rescue an old friend at all costs, while Liz and Townsend conduct an interrogation. Guest stars: David E. Harrison as Ivan Stepanov and Rana Roy as Priya Laghari
The SPK (s9, e3)
A new case involving stolen artifacts reunites Red with a former Blacklister. Aram faces a difficult decision. Guest star: Stacy Keach as Robert Vesco
Eva Mason (s9, e14)
While searching for Senator Panabaker's missing daughter-in-law, the task force learns there may be a larger pattern of abductions. Red continues to piece together the mystery behind Liz's death. Guest star: Lea DeLaria as Nurse Binstock
The Four Guns (s10, e3)
An assassination attempt on Sen. Panabaker leads the Task Force to a group of renowned pickpockets; Red sends a dangerous gift to an old friend in custody. Guest stars: Stacy Keach as Robert Vesco and Jacob Pitts as Quentin Dodd Note: The scene between Reddington and Quentin where the latter "reads" the former on command and almost perfectly characterizes him is one of my favorite scenes of the entire 10th season.
And that's it folks! I've liked a lot of episodes over the show's run, even when Liz made me want to pull my hair out or when the writing was not as strong as I hoped.
But these 15 episodes above are probably the ones I would recommend to someone who has never seen the show, but wants to know what I liked about it so much that made me stick with it until the end.
As I mentioned before, season 4 had my favorite major villain (aka "Big Bad") but I only picked one episode from that season to add to this list. And although I think season 8 was the most infuriating in terms of characterization, it actually had a lot of great episodes that I would watch over and over again.
I think it's interesting that I didn't have any episodes from season 1 on my list. 🤔
I'm not going to review the series finale or the show overall. I just wanted to mark the occasion and say that I'm happy to see the show sunset, and I will be forever grateful that it gave us 10 years of James Spader on my television.
Yes, I hated that they didn't answer any of my questions about who Red really was to Liz, but I'm still feeling very, very grateful because this character was one for the ages.

What’s your favourite x files episode?
OK SO too many to choose but 5 shout outs
HOME (s4, e2) bc I remember when I was growing up my dad had all the dvds of the series and i remember that season 4 was the ONLy one that was rated 18 bc of that episode. so the rest of the episodes/seasons were like 12/15 so my dad was like u can watch the x files but dont watch home. but then we watched it bc it's his favourite. every time i talk to him about the x files he tells me EVERYTIME that it's the only episode to never be repeated in broadcast bc it's so spooky and because it's one of the most fucked up episodes
X-COPS (s7, e12) bc its so fucking funnnnn like at season 7 we're still loving it and having a lot of fun but u know...its the 7th season of a show so maybs we're gettin a lil bored BUT THIS EPISODE IS SO FUCKING FUN and i love it. u can tell how much fun the actors were having and it's just great i watch it all the time
TERMS OF ENDEARMENT (s6, e7) i feel like this one is neglected but its the one w demon babies and bruce campbell and I love this one because the //twist// at the end fully got me and also Fox is like peak in this episode
BLOOD (s2, e3) id say i rewatch this one the most, i think it's well ahead of it's time and it's just an absolutely mint episode
THE POST-MODERN PROMETHEUS (s5, e5) its a classic and i think everyone agrees its one of the best episode. also, Cher?????????????????????????????????
thank u for attending my ted talk
(also special shout out to the one with bees/wasps or whatever because that scared the fuck out of me when i was younger)

hi!! i was wondering what are your favourite fics that you've read/wrote this year? asking for myself. i need reading recs ^-^
Oh I've got a lot of fics I could recommend. :D Both mine and other peoples.
We'll start with my fics.
I've got several series that I updated at points this year that are favorites of mine.
Speedsters and Vibes is an eventual Barry/Cisco/Hartley fic series that hasn't even reached the point of Barry waking from his coma yet. I'm still in the 'establishing how heartbreaking Eobard's betrayal will be' stages where Hartley has woken as a Speedster himself - much to everyone's surprise. I last updated this series much earlier this year and next year I hope to finally write the fic where Barry wakes up and all the complications that brings.
Anya's Vengeance Agency is a Buffy/Anya fic series that started as one shot about Anya taking Buffy to prom, grew because someone accused me of being biphobic for not making Anya bi in that first fic and I felt spiteful about it (I deleted the comment, because screw them), and every time I thought I'd arrive at a natural stopping point my brain would ask 'but what happens next?' Most recently it was updated over the spring and summer of 2022 with an alternate take on The Gentlemen, but its another one I intend to write more for in 2023.
Eobard vs Eobard is an eventual Eobard/Barry fic series where the alternate timeline created by Reverse Flash!Eobard has created a new timeline with a very different version of Eobard. Herobard, if you will. *giggles* I started this one last year and updated it with the next fic almost exactly one year later. I'm hoping to get the third fic up sometime in January or February, though, since I've got a good start on it already.
Revisionist History was a series that I started last year and completed this year that explores a timeline where Harrison Wells lives... because Eobard became Tess Morgan instead. It has Harrison/Tina/Jerry as the main ship and explores a bit of Harrison meeting E2 Tess. In some ways it became my rebuttal to the Timeless!Wells of canon who lives perpetually in the past; Harrison chooses to move on with his life even when it's difficult.
The Pied Piper's Army of Rats is probably my favorite ongoing Hartley/Cisco fic series. Started in 2017 with a silly little fic about Cisco being annoyed about time travel, it's largely inspired by Hartley amassing an army of plushy rats. And fix-ficcing season 1 (and eventually parts of season 2). It's definitely one I'll be revisiting next year as well, adding Iris and Eddie's side of the events in Star City and Barry's fight with the Tricksters while Iris, Eddie, Cisco, and Hartley are out of town.
The Whistle Blower was one that I'd been struggling to get back into, so I was really pleased to have two fics to add to it this year. Iris getting to stretch her journalistic wings as she discovers her true calling. And Eobard's bad week as Cecile Horton serves an injunction against the accelerator project while Hartley unknowingly slips into Eobard's blind spot. I have no idea when I may revisit this series next, but it's one that's near and dear to me.
Then there's my standalone fics and brand new series
The Lamp of Wishes came from a prompt request for a Yu-Gi-Oh rewrite of Aladdin, which led to me rewatching the Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters series and digging up some old (and new) plot bunnies, such as the 'what if Joey and Seto met at the orphanage and Joey were adopted by Grandpa Mutou' plot bunny that led to the Joey Mutou fic series.
Untethered is a Flash fic that I intend to become a series exploring an alternate S4. Barry's mental health is unstable, Wally gets to stretch his wings as the Flash, and Ralph finds himself curious about the mystery of Barry's speed force glyphs.
Stretching Your Wings was inspired by the little short film about Carter Hall's struggles with his mental health at the start of the pandemic after Kendra broke up with him. Kendra sends the kindest and most understanding person she knows to help Carter - Cisco Ramon, of course.
Not Like You is set in the timeline created post-Red Skies where Tommy lives, but Laurel still died. When Malcolm shows up at Laurel's funeral, Tommy gets a chance to call him out on a few things.
Still a Person is a Care Bears fic, but not actually involving the Care Bears themselves. It's about Christy coming to terms with being aromantic and an interpretation of her and Dark Heart's relationship that's always been platonic love for one another.
I participated in Finn Week this year, which celebrated Finn from Star Wars who deserved much better than canon gave him. Though I think my favorite fic for Finn I wrote was written much earlier this year - Ghost, a story about Finn's impact on his fellow troopers as his defection and rebellion causes waves in the First Order.
A Little Fair Weather is a Mark/Barry fic where Mark Mardon is an electrician and a good dad to Joss, while Clyde is still a trouble making bank robber. I hope to continue it as a series, but the fic works as a stand alone for now too. It's one I'd wanted to write for a long time, so it was wonderful to finally have it all come together.
Ripple Effect is a Tales of Vesperia fic series where Yuri finds himself in a timeline where he never existed and Alexei won. He's set out to set things right, though currently he's hoping mostly just to understand what happened to him and determine if the timeline can be returned to it's original flow.
Flickering of the Light is a very sad fic about Iris and her grief after Eddie's death in season 1 of the Flash. The show doesn't really let Iris center her grief at all in S2, so I wrote this about her struggle to let Eddie go and move on with her life afterwards.
I wrote a lot this year and could absolutely recommend more of my writing, but I think I'll move on to other people's fics now. :D
who wants to live forever? by ranchdiip is a Sandman fic based on the idea 'what if Hob saved Dream?' It's endgame Dream/Hob and starts with Hob in 1989 waiting for one Endless and meeting another instead.
A Cultural Guide to Earth-2 by @the-devil-in-the-details-666 is a Cisco/Harry fic series where Harry and Jesse get away with ridiculous things by claiming it's a cultural difference between realities. Barry and Ralph are easily punked, Jesse is having the time of her life making up new holidays, and Harry wears booty shorts much to Cisco's approval.
@the-devil-in-the-details-666 also wrote a Hartmon fic called Mutual Personal Gain (And Other Lies We Tell Ourselves) with the fake relationship trope combine with arranged marriage and Hartley's parents being the worst. It's a great read (and I may just have to go re-read it now that it's finished) and a lot of fun.
over on my Kitkatt0430-recommends blog, I put together a rec list of Doctor Who and Torchwood fics. Some of those have been favorites of mine for years, others are recent finds. All are entertainingly good reads.
While I've only watched enough Glee to be dangerous (and acquire a dislike of Blaine and Rachel) I did finally give in to rifling through the fandom for interesting Kurt/Sebastian and Kurt/Sam fics. Specific authors of note are Lady Divine, JWMelmoth, and ella-delajoie, though honestly I could do a whole rec list of just Glee fics now. Which amuses me since I don't think the amount of episodes I've seen even amounts to a whole season. Maybe half a season.
Trippy Dimensional Energy by enchantedlightningwrites is a Cisco character fic about him coming to terms with his powers and it's really, really good.
wouldn't it be nice? by SummerFrost is a Spuffy fic trilogy where Buffy and Spike's brief 'perfect love' for each other thanks to Willow's will be done spell changes how they view each other afterwards. Spans seasons 4, 5, and 6, and makes for excellent fix fics of those seasons.
Go read anything by @avatarskywalker78 or @fezwearingjellybananas or @shrinkthisviolet - I see updates from them in my inbox and get so excited...
I also briefly dived into Klance fanfics after finally watching Voltron on Netflix. So Stormchasing by sinelanguage, The Expiation Expedition by IntelligentAirhead (Dragonomatopoeia) and obstinateRixatrix, and the series Adjust Orbit and Velocity by Mytay were my favorites there.
When Lightning Hits Ice by MK_Morreaux is an amazing Barry/Len fic that rewrites the timelines up through S1 of the Flash after the Legends have a bit of an snafu (per usual). The first fic is complete and there's a sequel covering S2 that's been promised. It's soooooo good. Just... wow, so good. Barry's an oblivious idiot, Len struggles with his sense of self worth, and it's Team ColdFlash from the start.
All The Everything by BlueDaysDreaming is about Cisco struggling with PTSD after a very traumatic event and Harry struggling to give Cisco the support he needs. It's a slowburn Harry/Cisco fic, but incredibly sweet.
I could probably keep listing fics here, but this post is super long already. My bookmarks on Ao3 are huge and ever growing and I do re-read them, so for more fics i recommend that's a good place to start. I also reblog recommendations over on my kitkatt0430-recommends blog, so you can follow there too for fics and fanart here on tumblr or the occasional rec list that I compile.
