I FORGOT TO SHARE THE S/I DESIGN. He borrows heavily from my clownsona, because why change something that don't need fixed.

The only things different are his eyes, what once was a long ponytail was separated to be a cat tail, hes wearing gloves, has an itty bitty kitty nose, and doesnt have the weird frilly thing clowns wear on their neck.

what would plague rat be like in batman beyond?

Erm... in two words? Not normal.

I kind of have this thought in mind of another time travel thing happening between BTAS and Batman Beyond. Basically, Scarecrow gets sent to the future somehow and ends up meeting the future's Plague Rat.

... This becomes very angsty. You see, in Batman Beyond, Plague Rat's rat cells ended up further mutating, making him more irritable, confused, and started developing serious health problems. Eventually, he needed to be transferred out of Gotham for "help".

By the time he shows up in Gotham again, Jonathan is already dead, and Plague Rat has mutated "beyond" recognition (ha). He's blind, can no longer access his disease-related abilities, and has a device sticking out of his head with wires embedded into his neck. He's basically turned into a body-horror abomination.

And this is what Jonathan is greeted with: (TW: Art depicting body horror and angst.)

Lookit that thing. It looks like a goddamned horse. That feel when you realize your boyfriend turns into an abomination in the future and you won't even be by his side when it happens. That feel seeing your Frankenstein's lab rat of a boyfriend basically fall apart in front of you when it recognizes your voice. That feel realizing he's mentally devolved below neanderthal levels of intelligence by that point and most likely can't be fixed.

All of that coupled with the realization that the device on his head sends periodic electrical pulses through its body? Yeah, yikes.

The only reason someone hasn't mercy killed this thing is because of Plague Rat's niece. ... Oh yeah, Plague Rat kidnapped his orphaned niece and basically raised her after showing back up in Gotham. She's a known criminal now and steals stuff to reverse what happened to him.

Does she ever manage to fix him? ... No. Plague Rat ends up getting caught up in an unrelated spat, saving Terry and his niece, but ultimately dying in the process.

... Well, there's always the afterlife. Let's just hope he doesn't show up in The Land of Unliving looking like that. (If he even ends up there in the first place, since DC has multiple afterlives. Is afterlives the right term when there's multiple?)

2 - How similar are they to me? Carbon copy, separate, or both?

I'd say he's fairly similar to me! A bit nervous, awkward as balls, but happy to help and do his job at Phoenix Parks! Definitely different from me physically, since I can't achieve the procedures and such I want yet for my appearance (money and transport as reasons) and well. Not human also lmao. Otherwise we're fairly alike!

4 - How did they feel when they first met my f/o? How do they feel about them now?

When it first met our lovely demon Courtney, it was anxious to make a good impression like with everyone else rot had met! And it went alright, hes basically a train wreck but hes trying his best yannow? He thought she was very nice, if a bit eccentric, but hey so is he! Didn't take long for rot to fall head over heels either but that's somewhat besides the point. As for how he feels about them now, I couldn't say! Haven't been able to get past episode 2 since I can only watch it on my laptop away from family 😔

7 - 3 random facts!

Alrighty! Random fact number one: It's a shapeshifter! Akin to many other s/is of mine, it's body is actually a mass of mobile black tar, which it can reshape and change at will! It can use this ability to alter himself, or to take on the appearance of others near-perfectly.

Number 2: Rot works several jobs for the park, one of which utilizes his shapeshifting/mimic ability! Yknow how singing in movies (esp kids musicals) is often just the actor lipsyncing and then the song is layed over top? Thats one of em! He is hidden behind the curtain of a show while one of the Pauline impersonators lipsyncs to the song being "sung" and he will copy the voice of the real deal and provide the vocals! Came up with that idea in the shower this morning teeheehee

And 3: He loves cooking for other people! And if he knows someone in his circle isn't eating well/often, rot will make them food whenever rot gets the chance to! Because it cares about it's friends a lot and wants them to eat well and nothing can stop rot once rot sets his mind to it.
