You wanted this land... So now mix with it!
I am from Kharkiv. I have no electricity and heating, but even so, me and many other Ukrainian artists find the opportunity to tell the world about the savagery of the acts inflicted by the enemy. I said it in the spring, and I say it now: the aggression of r*ssia cannot be justified in any way: all those who put their hand to it will plunge into their own Hell of Fire.

like all other things regarding justice, the MH17 verdict is appallingly late. so late to the point of utter disrespect to the families of 298 dead. i guess if it weren’t for rus*ia’s being a total loser in the full scale war, the “trendiness” would never arrive and so the end of the case with it.

Ron DeSantis warns Floridians “Don’t say gay” and “Don’t say black”.
In Russia, the Putin clique tells the military, “Don’t say mobilization”.
Now, with a sputtering winter offensive in the eastern Donbas region in its second month and Ukraine telegraphing its own spring offensive, Russian officials are again trying to boost numbers. At least 42 regions across the country are now sending out summons to eligible men, according to human rights lawyer Pavel Chikov. One news site known for supporting government policies said the official target was to enlist up to 400,000 men.
Whatever it is, it's not a mobilization, the Kremlin insists. “There are no such discussions,” spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted by news agencies as saying on March 15, when asked: “Is the Kremlin discussing a second wave of mobilization?” But if it is not yet a major, mandatory call-up, it may turn into one.
The war is called a “special operation” by the Putinistas and the Russian media. Saying “war” can land you in the gulag.
Whatever it is, it’s a shambles as well as a violation of international law.

One U.S Dollar is now worth 160 Rubles. Russian Banks are now “Insolvent”. Just for perspective: The last time that Russia’s Economy was struggling THIS much, the Tsar of Russia at the time ended up being overthrown and executed by his own subjects.

As Ukrainian momentum continues, the border guard services said that the army had taken control of Volchansk, a town taken in the early days of the war and just two miles from the Russian border.  Russia has admitted that it has withdrawn from areas in the north-eastern Kharkiv region, as well as from Malitopol which is the second largest city in the Zaporizhzhia region.

How do you know Russia is losing? Excellent Ukrainian operational security has mostly blacked out news for the front.
> (From Randy Mott @randymot4 , Twitter) <
Tumblr media
1. Russians are asking for a ceasefire. Russia desperately wants to freeze the battlefield;
2. They are sending less trained soldiers into battle in large numbers;
3. Most conscripts sent in now are equipped with ancient Russian helmets and very old weapons and nothing else. They often seem to have been drafted only weeks before their capture (no training).
4. Russians, boasting of making hundreds of T90M tanks, seem only able to send anvient T54s into UKR now. Every day the Ukrainian military grows more modern than the Russians;
5. Russia has stripped its other borders of military personnel and equipment;
6. The refugee flow to Poland, where I live, is almost nothing now. I drive right by their embassy every week, where there were big lines in the early months of the war. Many Ukrainians actually going home now.
7. Russian military bloggers are not making the rosy reports like the Kremlin post. They also totally contradict the Russian trolls on Twitter.
8. The Russian economy is tanking.
9. We do not see many new videos or photos on Twitter from pro-Russian sources depicting great tactical victories. The isolated instances have been re-posted hundreds of times.
10. Dozens of Russian units and their families back home are posting videos asking for help due to their lack of support on the front and the "suicide" missions that gthey are asked to perform.
None of these indicators reflect any chance that Russia is winning or that the war is even a "stalematge" right now. Confirmation will be forthcoming as major Ukrainians victories are very close now.

To be honest, running is a good option for the Russians – but not back to Russia. Mongolia is underrated as a place of refuge. The former president of Mongolia recently said that Russian citizens fleeing Putin’s conscription would be welcome.
Where there’s a border crossing leading out of the country, you’ll find Russians trying to escape.

Desperate Kremlin Ignores Russian Troops' Pleas To Evacuate in Uncovered Messages — EXPRESS UK
8/14/2022 — MORALE among Russian troops has continued to plummet, with newly uncovered radio messages between Russian military headquarters leaving troops on the ground for dead, despite asking for help.
Tumblr media
Newly uncovered radio communications between military commanders and Russian military headquarters have exposed the collapse in morale among troops deployed by Moscow. Ukrainian soldiers revealed they had intercepted radio messages between troops from mercenary Wagner Group and Russian military headquarters. In the communications, the soldiers repeatedly "asked for an evacuation vehicle" but the main command did not respond.
Tumblr media
One Ukrainian soldier, Tura, explained to Radio Free Europe: "After the combat, we found the enemy's radios. We could later record their communications with commanders.” "First they came as a squadron, then as platoons of 20-30 people. After the combat, eight of them retreated." He continued: "We could hear on the radio their commander asking for an evacuation vehicle but their military headquarters didn't give an order to come back and pick them up."
Tumblr media
The Ukrainian troops, who were fighting in Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, discussed the growing number of mercenary troops fighting in the country. One soldier, named Shynobi, explained: "They are after money, and they die for money. "We haven't seen any advanced tactics from them. The Russian Army needs to hide its losses.”
Tumblr media
"There is no other way for them but to hire criminals and use them indiscreetly as cannon fodder. They are not required to be efficient. They just need manpower to press forward." Another soldier, Valet, added: "Regular troops have suffered losses from the start of the war, and these losses have to be made up for. Hiring mercenaries is the easiest way."
Tumblr media
The latest intelligence briefing from the British Ministry of Defense corroborates the claims of intense fighting among the two sides in the Donbas. Particularly heavy fighting has focused on the village of Pisky, near the site of Donetsk Airport, according to the British Defense Ministry.
Tumblr media
Similarly, there is a growing risk of Russian troops in the occupied city of Kherson being cut off from the rest of the main Russian occupying forces after Ukraine says it has taken out another bridge to the region. A briefing from the MoD on Saturday said thousands of Russian troops west of the river were now "almost certainly reliant on just two pontoon ferry crossing points" for ground resupplies.

Star death
This drawing is based on the butterfly nebula :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If anyone cares for my symbolism:
A nebula is often formed by the gas and dust ejected by a dying star after it burns out all its fuel. Stars die once the energy from fusion isn’t enough to sustain its mass, causing a collapse that produces a supernova, throwing heavy elements into space. Throughout a star’s life, they’re constantly fighting their own collapse, fusing hydrogen into helium to resist the pressure of their own gravitational pull. They die when they can no longer do this.
In the au I’m obsessed with that only exists in my head (more here), both of them sacrificed their teenage experiences to get into the school they did, and kind of know nothing else; in that way they’re fighting their own collapse and burnout. They're each other's first run-ins with a relationship like this and that experience makes them feel unable to sustain a disconnected tunnel vision outlook on life, if that makes sense. Hence star death.
And nebulae are how new stars form :)
