"It's big. But it ain't a demon." He whispered, his tone making it rather clear that what awaited them was even worse.

"It's a bear. A mother bear. There's got to be some little ones nearby, and she thinks we're gonna hurt them. It's because we came here thinking there'd be a demon... And she thought we were after her."

Inosuke knew the dwellers of the forest enough to be certain of his claims. There was nothing more dangerous than a mother fearing for its cubs' life.

"She's gonna charge. Either we split up and run, or we take to the trees and hope she doesn't tear 'em down."
