Ten minutes.
Ever since Alina first began practicing under Aleksander Morozova she’d been diligent with arriving early and prepared to begin. Now she was pushing ten minutes late and perhaps even longer if people didn’t move.
The Os Alta foot traffic seemed to be more compact than usual that afternoon. Alina weaved in and out of people without care as she all but sprinted into the studio.
“I’m sorry,” were the first words past her lips upon arriving.
“The C train was delayed and I thought it’d be quicker on foot.”
Honestly an Uber would’ve served her better, but it was too late for that. “I only meant to meet with Mal for an hour, but it’s just been so long since we’ve seen each other I lost track of time-“
Alina unwound the red scarf from her neck before unbuttoning her coat.
“- and before I knew it we’d been sitting in the cafe for two hours.”
Out of breath, she looked toward Aleksander with delayed sheepishness.
“It won’t happen again.”
Could he truly fault her? At only twenty-one she was a member of the renowned Os Alta Royal Opera. The company was by no means an easy one to join, and sopranos were a dime a dozen. Every day she thanked the Saints, fate, or the universe itself for allowing her a spot in the chorus. It was rare that she had time for enjoyable social events among her friends not in the opera world.

There had only been two attempts made upon her during their forty year reign. The first was five years after her coronation, made by a man who’d claimed to see visions of Sankta Magda in which he was urged to free ‘Sankta Alina’. The man had supposed death among the Saints was preferable to a life at the side of the Black Tsar, and shot at her while she was mingling with her subjects in Os Alta. The event hadn’t sunk in until later that evening when Alina found herself shaking like a leaf in the bath.
The second was earlier that day while on her way back from opening a new school outside the city limits. Alina found it odd to think that people would want her present at such a thing; she’d lived years as the ‘Sun Saint’ and still found the idea that she was anything special ridiculous. Yet such duties befell the Queen of Ravka, duties that had often be ignored by the previous Lantsov queen. The Grisha and oprichniki that accompanied her stopped in order to fix the axle of one of the carriages when a man appeared at the edge of the forest that bordered the road. The bullet hadn’t gotten anywhere near her as one of the Heartrenders incapacitated the assassin, yet the mere experience left her rattled. She hadn’t been told much about the man’s motives upon his arrest, yet it appeared that hatred of her kind was among his thoughts.
Alina rubbed at her temples with her hand, the other holding a half filled glass of kvas. “Don’t tease me,” she warned Aleksander at his comment on the number of years. “Not now.”
She set aside the glass when he neared her, preferring to bring her knees to her chest in order to wrap her arms around her legs. Curled up in her nightdress before the fire, she certainly looked more like the former Orphan of Kermazin than she did Tsaritsa of Ravka.
“Because I know why you do what you do,” she responded cryptically. “Not all of it, mind you, but most of it.” Her arms tightened near painfully around her legs.
“That man hates me, hates us, and I hadn’t even seen his face before today.”
Her expression darkened as her gaze drifted toward the fire in the grate. “Now I hate him.”
Alina had pled for mercy for the first assassin, knowing that he couldn’t have been in his right mind. But this man? This man would receive no such intervention from her.

The ballroom was too stuffy, the bodice of her new gown too stiff, and the weight of the night’s expectations too heavy. Alina’s first Season wasn’t the nightmare she expected it to be, but neither was it pure bliss. It seemed that the Duchess Keramsov, the frivolous wife of her equally frivolous guardian, was enjoying the Season more than the young debutante. The last Alina saw her the woman was rosy cheeked from drink and gossiping with a crowd of biddies. The duchess did not need to put up with the curious glances and evaluating looks made by members of the ton; an unwed foreign heiress was something of interest.
Alina raised her glass of champagne to her lips, catching sight of the dance card attached to her wrist. The last gentleman she danced with remarked upon her charming accent and grasp of her new country’s language. The comments had sounded more patronizing than appreciative, leaving her with a longing to retreat to the familiar.
The young woman made to set down her empty glass on a table when her arm brushed that of another.
“Pardon me, sir,” she said, eyes raising to meet the stranger’s.

Alina never wished to see another train or carriage for as long as she lived. Her journey began in Keramzin, where she took a hired stagecoach from the orphanage of her childhood to a train station. A trip across the country brought her nearly to her new home. Yet another stagecoach carried her to the town where she was to meet her intended husband. Alina wished to simply stand on solid ground for a few moments to appreciate the stillness.
Crammed in the stagecoach, stuck next to a loud-mouthed matron who had not stopped talking since they left the train station, Alina tried her best to keep her cool. She all but flew out of the coach when it came to a stop in town, eager to get out of the confinement of vehicle. One of the drivers alighted from the front bench in order to remove Alina’s trunk from atop the coach. What little she owned was contained within, as well as the linens and meager items she could claim as a dowry. She didn’t come from much, and had made that plain to her intended.
Few options were given to her upon aging out of the orphanage. It had been an act of charity by Ana Kuya and the Duke to allow her to stay till the ripe old age of 21, even if she did work at the establishment to earn her keep. With Mal having gone into the army, answering an ad for a wife from a man living on the frontier hadn’t been the craziest of ideas.Alina stood under the wooden overhang of the stagecoach depot, shielded from the strong sun as she awaited the arrival of Aleksander Morozova. She’d included a sketch of herself in one of her letters to him, knowing she hadn’t the money for a daguerreotype. His description of himself was what she used as she nervously scanned the passerby.

She grew up with him and a girl named Leta Lestrange, but left the school when Newt was expelled and continued her education independantly until she enrolled in Ivermony, where she earned her degree in magical law. When Newton was expelled from Hogwarts, Luella quit to stand up for him and blended in with the muggles until she was reunited with Newton years later. In the future, she finds a husband and has children.

Luella Cherish was born as a Magbob to two muggle parents in London, England. When she was thirteen years old, her magical abilities were revealed when she was being bullied at school. Her parents disowned her, so her older brother became her legal guardian and enrolled her in Hogwarts where she met Newton Scamander and befriended him. She grew up with him and a girl named Leta Lestrange. When Newton was expelled from Hogwarts, Luella quit to stand up for him and blended in with the muggles.
It had been several years since she last saw him. Now, she worked as an auror for the British Ministry of Magic thanks to her excellent skill and concentration in magical law. Apparently, a few magical creatures had gotten loose and Luella was tasked to find the culprit. She had done her research and if her suspicions were correct, as she wandered the town, she would bump into none other than Newton Scamander himself.

CHARACTER ARC SUMMARY: Amira Sultan was born and raised as Muslim in Massachusetts, America. Her father was a successful Pakistani businessman named Ali Sultan and her mother was a successful Pakistani housewife named Khadijah Shaheed. Amira’s paternal great grandmother Amina was trampled to death during the Partition in Pakistan and her paternal great grandfather Amir escaped with his daughter Aisha when she was two years old. Unfortunately, Amir died due to cancer and sixteen-year-old Aisha was left to fend for herself. At the age of eighteen years old, she came under the care of Yousef, a merchant who offered her food and shelter, and they married three years later. They planned to have Khadija and she was born two years after they married. Khadija grew up and met Ali in college. After graduation, they married and moved to America one year before Amira was born in order to pursue a better life for her.
Growing up, Amira had trouble with bullies at school and took Martial Arts classes to defend herself. She also discovered that she had a natural talent for English and prose. Her parents wanted her to go into the medical field, but when she turned fifteen years old, she decided that she wanted to go into the English field. Her parents were devastated and convinced that she was going to ruin her life. They tried to make her study surgery, but when she was awarded an English scholarship to Oxford University at seventeen years old, they were ecstatic and stopped trying to sway her decision.
Amira wrote a murder mystery short story for a college assignment during her first year and it was so good that her professor suggest that she publish it professionally, but she was afraid that because she was a Pakistani woman, no one would read it. She began to publish murder mystery and crime novels under the pseudonym Sara and her books began to achieve mediocre fame when she was around twenty-three years old after she became an English Language Arts and Literature Professor at Harvard University.
Around this same time, Amira met a young American man whom anyone only knew as The Son. She became the only person besides his family to know his real name. Amira and The Son fell in love and got engaged just a year after knowing each other. Unfortunately, because of his family history, Amira’s parents were unhappy with the engagement and prevented them from seeing each other. Amira and The Son’s relationship was strained when she met his sister known as The Prince and they did not get along. This tension only worsened when The Son was arrested conveniently just before he was supposed to marry Amira. Amira was devastated and took her anger out on her parents rather than The Prince, who had been trying to sabotage her brother and his fiance from the beginning. Amira wanted to move out and leave her parents because she was so distraught.
Conveniently, she received an anonymous invitation a year later to Tokyo, Japan to promote her book and accepted it just to spite her parents. Little did she know that she would run into both The Son and The Prince on what was known as The Bullet Train that was running through Japan.
PERSONALITY AND CHARACTER ANALYSIS: Amira Sultan is strong-willed and bold. She is soft-spoken and peace-making, but she is also confident and intelligent. Many people underestimate her because of her feminine demeanor. She is judged for her skin color in non-Pakistani areas. However, she always uses these setbacks to her advantage. Her bilingualism and talent in the English Language Arts and Literature field makes her very well-rounded. That combined with her Martial Arts skills and her ability to catch people off-guard makes her a massive threat.
She is a devout Muslim which shapes many of her beliefs and how she deals with situations. She is also very calm and can talk her way out of almost any situation. Violence is a last resort for her, but even when she is forced to resort to it, she refuses to use weapons: only classic Martial Arts. Her fatal flaw is her inability to manage her emotions. She often bottles up her feelings until she can no longer handle it, which results in explosive outbursts. She also overestimates herself sometimes, which often gets her into trouble. She has a strong desire to help people and this is often reflected in her writing as well as in her actions. Her overconfidence and innate drive to help people will be her downfall. Some know her as Amira. Some know her as Sara. The Bullet Train passengers know her as The Princess.

Sammie's pupil's grew wide. He looked at Rey with big puppy-dog-like eyes and pouted. They had planned to meet up at a certain time and he had gotten sidetracked trying to help Chewbacca find his way back to the Falcon.
Sammie felt extremely guilty now, having seen Rey so worried. "I'm sorry," he whispered, lowering his gaze in shame.

Hello! I am Layla and my main blog is @arabianflowers! This is a roleplay blog for the character Sammie from the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel by Walt Disney Imagineering and the very first roleplay blog for a Galactic Starcruiser character! Sammie is my favorite Halcyon Starcruiser character and I feel like I can capture his character really well, so I decided to create a roleplay blog for him!
My rules for roleplaying are listed below!

3.) Do not spam.
4.) Please refrain from swearing or using vulgarity in any way.
5.) I do not roleplay NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content. This is strictly prohibited.
6.) Sammie is not Muslim, but I am, so there are certain things that I might be uncomfortable with roleplaying even though this character is not Muslim. Please be considerate. I do not expect everyone to know about Islam, so I am more than happy to specify my rules and boundaries in that respect if need be.

1. I prefer to roleplay only as Sage Starkey's version of Sammie, but I am flexible.
2. I try to be as canon compliant to the Halcyon storyline as possible, but I am flexible! I love interacting with fan-made characters!
3. I prefer to roleplay in third person, but I also like to roleplay limited, typing as if I am the character, and I am flexible about the way that I roleplay, so I am open to discussion. I usually roleplay limited in asks!

Grim had been wandering around aimlessly. She had gotten lost, but didn't want to admit it. Although everything was the same she couldn't shake this feeling she had that the Force felt just slightly different. But only slightly. To the point she didn't even notice. It was just an echoing thought in the back of her head.
It was as she was wandering, losing herself in her thoughts, and trying to shake the echoing whispers that she bumped into the other woman. "Oh!" she exclaimed. "I'm sorry I didn't see you there!"

Layla Jasrella had also been wandering aimlessly. The Force around Grim had experienced an abrupt shift thanks to Layla's swirl of emotions. Layla was so caught up in her own emotions that she did not notice the girl until she bumped into her.
She did not flinch. In fact, she hardly even blinked. She registered the fact that there was someone before her and then managed a half-smile. "It's all right," she said softly. She continued on her way.

CHARACTER ARC SUMMARY: Layla Jastrella lost both her parents when she was eight years old at her own hands. Her mother and father were persuaded by Darth Sidious to leave her on the safest planet for her own protection because she was too powerful. Believing it to be the only way to protect their child, Layla’s parents left her on the planet Naboo. Layla, who was highly force-sensitive, unbeknownst to herself and to her parents, became overcome by her emotions and begged her parents to come back. She accidentally crashed the spaceship that her mother and father were leaving in because she was unable to control her abilities, which resulted in her parents’ tragic deaths. This tragedy left her so traumatized that she subconsciously blocked out the memory of the incident shortly after it occurred, convincing herself that she would one day be reunited with their parents. She grew up with Anakin Skywalker on Tatooine and fell in love with him when they were young adults.
When they were both nineteen years old, they had a secret marriage, which resulted in Layla's pregnancy, which tragically failed.
PERSONALITY AND CHARACTER ANALYSIS: Layla Jastrella is a tortured soul with a blurred view of good and evil. From a young age, she suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and panic attacks, all of which she never received any professional help for. Her idealistic views of the world and her inner turmoil are what contributed to her tragic fall to the dark side. Before she fell to the dark side, Layla was compassionate and cared for other people’s well-being. She was also very attuned to the light side of the Force, responsible when it came to fulfilling her duties as a Jedi Knight, and a very mature person overall. However, she was insecure and did not communicate well even though she was often very bold. She always spoke up for what she believed was right but her intense emotions were partly what contributed to her fall to the dark side. After Layla lost her child, she spiraled into a deep depression and developed Major Depressive Disorder which shifted her view of the world and made her question her morality. She allowed herself to be manipulated by a Sith Lord with the false promise that she would gain back the child that she lost. Before Layla became a Sith Lord, she was a successful merchant and she was also raised by the senator of Naboo who had perfect social skills, which is why she used to be so good with people, despite the fact that she was not a good communicator. Before turning dark, Layla was fiercely loyal to the important people in her life, especially her foster mother, her husband, and her child. Even after she turned evil, her loyalty to them did not falter and everything that she did was for them and the idea that she was avenging them. She treats the younglings that she kidnapped from the Jedi Temple as her own children and believes that training them in the dark side of the Force is what will save them from the Jedi.

Personality: Sara Sinclair is a soft-hearted person at her core. She means well and wants the best for everyone, which contributed to her previous naiveness before she grew and became wiser. She is genuinely friendly, but if people whom she cares about, such as her husband or her children, are wronged, then she will fight on their behalf until the end in the calmest way possible. However, in that situation, she loses control of her emotions easier than she usually does. When dealing with personal conflicts, she is much more emotional than she would be if it involved people whom she was not close to. She loves to make people smile when she can and is generally a very friendly person unless she is crossed. Her favorite pass-time is anything musical, such as singing, songwriting, or playing violin, which she is all very talented at. Story Summary: Sara Sinclair (born Sara Abrams) was born and raised an only child in Covington, Louisiana to a shady emergency nurse (her mother Faith Sinclair) and a corrupt criminal prosecution lawyer (her father Dominic Abrams). When Sara was only nine years old, Dominic was arrested for obstruction of justice and beaten to death in jail, which prompted Faith to change Sara’s surname for her safety and give her away to a foster home just before Faith died of cancer. Sara was abused at the foster home and was never adopted. As she grew older, she became interested in nursing because she wanted to help people like her mother and decided to study to become a nurse anesthetist. Faith suffered through many surgeries due to having acute myeloid leukemia which is ultimately what led to her death. The anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists were often careless with the anesthetics, which motivated Sara to go into the anesthetic field because she did not want people to suffer like her mother suffered.

CHARACTER ARC SUMMARY: Wisteria Howlette is a she-wolf from Seabrooke. She was taken in and fostered by the Wells family when she was a baby after being separated from her pack. She was the only member of her family who had pointy fangs, which made her very insecure. Unlike her adoptive sister Addison, Wisteria was clumsy and did not like cheer. She thrived in the music and theater department, but she had stage fright despite her competitive personality in other aspects. She works on overcoming this fear throughout her story.
When a pack of werewolves arrived in Seabrooke looking for their moonstone, they found Addison and assumed that she was the Great Alpha of their pack. It was later revealed that Wisteria is actually the Great Alpha. During Prawn, Wisteria did not have a date and went with her best werewolf friend Wynter instead. She did not find herself to be romantically interested in anyone until a group of aliens arrived at Seabrooke during her senior year. This was when she met an alien named A-lan, whom she initially disliked. They had a rivalry that grew into something more positive, specifically when A-lan realized his emotions towards her. A few weeks after the aliens landed in Seabrooke, Wisteria discovered that she was the only werewolf in her pack who could shapeshift into a full werewolf. She made this discovery when her Addison was in danger and she shapeshifted into a wolf to protect her. This was very scary for Wisteria. Thankfully, Addison was there to help. Surprisingly, so was A-Lan.
A-Lan and Wisteria’s relationship grew from being a rivalry to having romantic tension and ultimately turning into a very happy romantic relationship. Their relationship was long distance for a time when A-lan and his alien friends, including Addison who discovered that her grandmother was an alien, traveled to rebuild their home planet Utopia. They eventually returned to Seabrooke and decided that Earth was better for them because it was imperfect and allowed them to feel emotions. Wisteria now lives happily with her friends and boyfriend in Seabrooke.
PERSONALITY AND CHARACTER ANALYSIS: Wisteria Howlette is level-headed and soft-spoken, but she is also very bold and competitive. She is very emotional, but bottles up her emotions until they are too much for her to handle, which is detrimental to herself and many others. She makes light of her negative emotions, but is very attuned to the emotions of others. She is mature for her age and creative when it comes to the Arts. She is sometimes insecure due to her visible werewolf ears, but has grown to love them and be more confident about them. She is also a skilled Martial Artist and can pack a punch, though she considers herself a Pacifist (most of the time). She is avidly loyal to her loved ones and will defend them no matter what.

Personality: Anastasia Everly is generally quiet and can sometimes be shy. However, she is bold despite how timid she seems and will speak her mind when she believes that she is baring witness to injustice. She is very insecure when it comes to her own personal interests and does not like to talk about herself. She thinks of herself as an observer. She would rather pay attention to the world so that she can absorb it and gain more knowledge rather than always be the one giving out the knowledge. Because she is very observant, she is able to read people and is very thoughtful when she wants to be. Her observance also makes her very clever, but can be a disservice to her because she sometimes pays too much attention to detail and is overly paranoid. Anastasia is well-rounded, but her main talents and interests revolve around the Arts. She is a mega superhero fan and her favorite superhero is Kamala Khan also known as Miss Marvel. Anastasia is a talented cartoonist and creates her own comic books, but does not publish them until after she graduates high school.
Anastasia is extremely loyal, sometimes to a fault. Though her loyalty makes her a valuable friend and teammate, it also sometimes makes her gullible, easy to manipulate, and overly passionate. Her open mind and eagerness to learn often serve her positively, but these traits also sometimes make her too idealistic and irrational. Sometimes, her head is in the clouds and she does not know how to bring herself back down until it is too late. Her insecurities also contribute to her indecisiveness, but this is balanced out by her ability to think creatively. These traits often affect her ability to use her bionics and superpowers, and when her Alpha Gene is triggered, she has a difficult time pulling herself out of it. When she is using her abilities, however, she has been trained to stay focused and since she is skilled at creating things, she can clear her mind and allow herself to do what she needs to do with her abilities depending on the situation.
When Anastasia was younger, she was more idealistic. Though she still has those same ideals, she has grown to have a broader view of life and learned to be proud of her talents.
Bionic Abilities and Superpowers
Anastasia’s main ability is molecular manipulation, a unique ability that only she has. This gives her the ability to manipulate and control molecules. It is an ability that she was born with as a superpower. She also inherited the ability to shape-shift from her father. These abilities were amplified when she had a bionic chip implanted in her that gave her unique variations of said abilities, which include the following: molecular energy blast, temporary pain relief, pain inducement, telekinesis, and reality warping.
As a superhero, Anastasia was born with other abilities. These abilities include basic superpowers which are thermal touch, thermonuclear body blast, proton ring generation, and the ability to fly.
Anastasia’s mutant genetics give her unique abilities as well. She has a unique ability called empathy that enhances her overall ability to feel things, including but not limited to emotions and anything regarding the five senses. She also has an alter ego that her sister named Sparky. Sparky is the result of a rare mutant gene called the Alpha Gene that only Anastasia has. Anastasia’s Alpha Gene is triggered when she experiences an intense panic attack or feels protective. When the gene is activated, Anastasia is fully conscious but unable to control her alter ego. When the gene becomes dormant again, Anastasia remembers everything that happened when she was under its influence. The effects of the gene are similar to the effects of the Commando App, but are more permanent, visible, and difficult to manage. When Anastasia was a little girl, it was easier to manage her Alpha Gene and her sister nicknamed the alter ego Sparky because she was easy to tame like a puppy. However, this changed as Anastasia grew older and the name Sparky became progressively ridiculous as the Sparky persona became more intimidating. When Anastasia is under Sparky’s influence, her skin turns a fiery red, her voice deepens, and she becomes extremely aggressive, protective, and territorial. This gene also heightens her senses and gives her enhanced physical strength when activated. The Alpha Gene and Sparky persona are not part of an application or a technological implant, but rather, they are the results of a biological enhancement and mutation in Anastasia’s system.
