The princess had settled in for the night after a long bath in her grand tub. Her maids had advised her to be more cautious when roaming her room unclothed, but she found no harm in it whatsoever. After all, who could see her from such a high of a view? Just like any other night, she left her window cracked open, welcoming in the cool breeze of the night. She wore her standard undergarments and a pastel pink nightgown that night. It did not take long for her to fall asleep in her luxurious bed…however later in the night, she heard a strange noise in her room. What could it possibly be?

Shimi's voice came out practically in song, beaming at the other who had just entered the room and settled upon the lounge chair. He had splayed himself cross the chair, letting his upper body fall into their lap as he stared up at them, a wild grin on his wobbly features. One hand held a glass of champagne, his tie hanging loosely around his neck, his other arm craddling his suit coat. It was well into the evening by now, perhaps so much so as to be considered approaching morning. Yet, the festivities continued with the select stragglers who had drunk so much wine they were likely to stay until morn anyhow.

"Stay with me, won't you? Ohh! Or perhaps fetch us another bottle of sherry? So long as you promise to come back!"

it’s that time again where I’m on my knees begging for some WW2 roleplays. I’m looking for either MxM - where both our characters are switches; or MxF, where I play m. 🧸

Either way I’d love something on the frontline, where times are tough and morale is low. Maybe your character is a medic, or a solider too? I’m just desperate for the angst and everything. I’d love for the rp to progress to after the war, if that’s something you’re interested in. Maybe having our characters trying to get back to everyday normal life. I’m by no means an expert on WW2 so pls keep that in mind, but I’ll do lots of googling and research to make it as realistic as possible. I’d love to hear your ideas and takes on things too!!

a vintage playbill inspired doc!

it’s been a hot second since i’ve done anything docs-related but i wanted to share my latest adventure! i made this doc to house a version of my muse that’s a 1920s era actor, complete with sepia-toned faceclaim photos & an alt title page that’s been run through photoshop w some free textures & things. i tried putting the textures on the whole doc, but it made it extremely difficult to read, so i ended up leaving the textured title page as a header on the actual blog, and kept the doc itself unaltered. though, if you found the right texture pack, you could probably run it through photosh.op and set it as a pdf for your mutuals to get into. (make sure you have all the fonts installed on your computer, i Did Not)

this doc can be found here and in the source link if you want to take a stab at customizing it, though i recommend it only for people who have moderate to maybe advanced?? skill in docs. placing some of the object pngs inside the table was out of my skill range to begin with and the fact that it figured itself out in the end is a miracle. but anyway. all images are replaceable if you can get under the other images to them. i did my own coloring but docs does have a built-in sepia filter if you’re not about doing all that yourself

there is a title page, a rules page, a character page w images, and another sort of empty unformatted page at the end you could delete out or customize with extra information. i personally think the last page is the best place to put the backstory and the little squares can be all your info spots / connections / verses, but that’s not even what i did lmao so you do you!!

ngl i’m not sure if i will be much help about it but do let me know if you have any questions on formatting the doc. start by going to file > make a copy and renaming your new doc. docs are for personal, individual use only & credit must remain intact. i worked hard on my baby. also sterling is my oc plz don steal etc etc. specifically 'the cutting room floor' is my tagline on sterling's blog so that title belongs to him as well. but yeah if you make anything using my docs pls pls pls tag me or dm me and show me?? i wanna seeeeeee. ok ty ily have a good timezone 💕💃

Antiquity f x f prompts I've been into lately: - You've just been married off to a powerful warrior queen in the north. It's an arranged political marriage that has caused some scandal. You've never laid eyes on the queen or her country until you arrive to be wed. You find she's aloof, temperamental, and unused to the nuances of courtship and romance, though she has the capacity to be fiercely protective (and fiercely jealous). - You're a young noblewoman who has taken to frequenting the only lesbian brothel in the kingdom. You had hoped it would be a place to get your sapphic desires out of your system, but instead you find yourself falling deeper and deeper into those same desires, struggling to justify your secret life to yourself and to those who are closest to you. - When your reputation for keeping the company of women threatens your noble family's standing, they send you to a secluded isles where "women like you" are left to pursue their supposedly aberrant desires. 🪼 seeking …

here are some plots i’m looking for in particular;

- fantasy setting with world-building inspired off playing cards and their sets. would really love working with something that includes magic, fictional kingdoms etc. really corny but i love making fictional cultures inspired off real ones whilst being respectful :]

- a group of vigilante thieves of various cultural backgrounds stealing cultural monuments and treasures from museums, personal collections, etc and redistributing them to their respective locations of origin. delving into the themes of decolonization, cultural reconnection and such.

- a silly supernatural horror plot set in small-town americana concerning a group of college students returning to their hometown where they’ve all befriended each other. preferably set in the 1980s.

- plot set in ancient egypt, persia, greece, etc about two very ordinary people, mostly to research their daily life, traditions, conditions and other things. could be a cozy romance, two soldiers off at war, but whatever it is, no supernatural elements, just realism.

- an art restorer and a historian team up to uncover the secrets behind a painting.

1. ocs only. although i appreciate knowing about pre-made characters, i would really appreciate if the ocs we use for these plots are made specifically for them, and not old ocs being put into a random setting. reusing ideas is okay.

🪼 characters !

i require characters that come across as authentic, human, and individuals with real agency. i’m not fond of characters that are excessively naive or perfect. i love characters that are distinctive, unconventional, well researched and resonate with specific interests, evolving in step with the narrative. given that i am a person of colour, my characters frequently are too. if you're not inclined to explore a range of diverse cultural backgrounds and settings, it's likely that we won’t make a good match.

🪼 genres & themes !

i love slice of life, historical realism, and social realism. period pieces captivate me, regardless of the era. i’m particularly fond of plots that explore characters and themes in depth and including fun symbolism. i absolutely adore discussing head-canons, scenarios, and themes, as well as create pinterest boards and playlists for our characters.

🪼 ooc !

tbh, connecting outside of the rp holds greater importance to me than any other aspect. if there's a lack of enthusiasm or engagement, or if we only interact during plotting, our compatibility is likely to be compromised. establishing a friendship with my partners ensures my sustained interest in the rp.

🪼 communication !

i thrive alongside enthusiastic writers who bring decisiveness and a strong passion for the rp. collaboratively shaping ideas and themes before and during our discussion sessions is crucial. i do not mind getting to know each other before plotting. connecting beforehand allows ideas to organically flourish, ensuring an enjoyable story for us both!

🪼 pairings !

i handle all character pairings with a focus on agency. i can work with a diverse array of dynamics, from tranquil domesticity to toxic relationships. my roleplays often prioritize a variety of relationships, veering away from solely heteronormative ones. crafting intricate dynamics involving characters of different backgrounds and sexualities is my forte. trans and non-binary characters are wholeheartedly welcome, if not preferred. i have the most experience with queer pairings (mlm, wlw, t4t, etc.)
