This song is inspiring me for a fic concept, specifically megop tfa
https://youtu.be/rTJjtSP-ORc
So, to set the setting(almost animatic style script):
Half-humanformers type thing, set about late 1800s, phantom of the opera vibes, indoors, big ass theater, night-time/after hours; we can't really see what time it is, neither does it matter since there are no windows to show.
The scene feels timeless, as if frozen.
Optimus is cleaning, alone, on stage.
He slowly stops his mopping and looks around the theater, remember his youth.
He slowly leans his mop against the wall and walks center-stage, brushing his fingers onto the back of a chair.
Megatron is walking by in the back rows of the lowest level seating, inspecting and making sure everything is prepared for the next performance. He sees Optimus, but Optimus does not see him.
Strings start playing as Optimus the theater brings back old memories.
He starts singing.
Megatron is enraptured, just staring at this maintenance bot with an angelic voice, absolutely flooring him with raw talent and expert control for someone whose only background in theater is (to him, at least) cleaning backstage.
[I have this whole thing play out in my head like a music video of as the song continues, when there are cetain cues when the music picks up/drops, Megs is sort of starting to realize that he knows this voice, but particularly this song; and as Op continues singing, we are thrown back in time where we see Megs does know this bot and this lullaby. We go back to about when they were kids, Megs looking at Op from afar and Optimus never once noticing him]
^^ that just popped into my head, but I like where it's going.
The whole idea is that Megs and Op have seen each other when they were younger, and the positions they are in now were the absolute opposite when they were kids. Op was wealthy and had money while Megs was on the streets. Their situations slowly changed over time, and now Megs owns this real big theater and his operas and shows are the most popular among the people and Op is just working backstage as a cleaner.
There's still a lot more to refine, but I can totally see this as a drama/romatic Y/A film and I love that lol.
More on this soon, hopefully.

Hi! Ok, so I've watched Tea and Simpathy last night and now I AM OBSESSED. Which Deborah Kerr movie should I watch next? Thanks🌻
ahhhh!!!! I'm so happy you liked tea and sympathy!!!!!!!! here's some more deborah kerr movies I love!!!!!
the innocents (1961) dir. jack clayton : adaptation of henry james' turn of the screw, kerr plays the governess and her acting + the cinematography is insane, one of my favorite movies in general (not just deborah kerr ones lol)
the life and death of colonel blimp (1943) dir. pressburger & powell : kerr plays not one, not two, but THREE characters and looks so good in technicolor you could die !!!!! (the rest of the movie is also really really good and moving)
the night of the iguana (1964) dir. john huston : tennessee williams adaptation so be warns the dramatic parts are DRAMATIC, this is one of my fav plays of his!!! in typical kerr fashion her character is incredibly moving, slightly (or more than slightly) crazy, and just makes you THINK!
the grass is greener (1960) dir. stanely donen : romantic comedy, and kerr is hilarious and so so good, robert mitchum and cary grant are so funny in this too, all around a very fun hilarious movie I've already seen twice i liked it so much
an affair to remember (1957) dir. mccarey : just a classic, cary grant and kerr are so good together and the story is kind of silly in typical old hollywood romatic drama style, but its not too silly that it doesn't WORK with kerr and crant carrying the film through!!!
vacation from marriage (1945) dir. alexander korda : first of all deborah kerr has a girlfriend in this movie who is none other than glynis johns! also its super funny, its about a husband and a wife reuniting after they both had gone off to war and how different they've become and how they've both been able to be more themselves once they had a chance to not be so strictly a Couple and how that plays out
the chalk garden (1964) dir. ronald neame : okay hear me out, the plot is kind of dramatic and could be dismissed as slightly silly and while it could have been done better, I think its good lol kerr is a governess here again! we love to see it <3 (also hayley and john mills are in this)
the naked edge (1961) dir. michael anderson : there's nothing like out of the box special about this movie, the plot isn't going to shock you, but i think it's done very well and the cinematography snaps and kerr is really good!!!! also i love a dark sinister gloomy atmosphere and its done very well here!
bonjour tristesse (1958) dir. otto preminger + 10. from here to eternity (1953) dir. fred zinnemann : these are both great movies, well made, interesting compelling plots, kerr is obvs amazing in both, don't really have anything else to say (put them together bc this list is getting long he he)
beloved infidel (1959)dir. henry king : insanely bad, melodramatic done so poorly that you laugh out loud when someone dies.........including it on the list bc you'd probs have a lot of fun watching this if you're in the mood to make fun of a dumb movie lol

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS COMPLETELY MY OPINION ABOUT THE FOLLOWING FEATURES.  I feel the need to say this again because last time too i got a message but x,y,z film has x,y,z issues . I've said it before and i will say it again  It is all a mixed Bag, Mixed Genres, Mixed reasons to suggest them right from the quality to acting to cinematography to story to critical acclaim to some just for PURE ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES.  I makes these lists because I feel these features deserve love and appreciation and because some made me feel Proud and some just for pure entertainment factor .
I’ve Added the Info with the title about where you can watch (save myself a bit of time by not hyperlinking them This time since most of them are on prime and Netflix- pretty Straightforward right) +all features listed have subs
Asuran | Dhanush,Manju Warrier| Tamil [Prime]  : A Must Watch- Fair warning not for the weak Hearted, Has some Very Graphic scenes Dark and Gripping Saga about 2 families at war with each other. Vetrimaran has so smartly Merged the sociopolitical issues in the otherwise revenge story.Easily one of Dhanush’s Best Performances if not his finest yet(it is imo and i urge you all to see this to see how Lower classes are treated. It was the best Film of year 2019 Hands down for me. this one Gave me sleepless nights ,shook me like anything and i still shiver when i think of some of the things that have happened here. IF you want to see a BLOODY GOOD MOVIE watch this one.Manju is equally Fabulous as the grief stricken mother trying to keep her other family members safe.
Thambi|Jyothika, karthi|Tamil[Netflix] :From the Director of Drishyam(the original) An edge of seat thriller about a lost brother and her sister’s quest of finding him with humor and family drama included. After Drishyam another Fab family Thriller, Karthi has done a superb job and has shouldered the film well. i wish there was more Karthi and Jyothika Bonding though, Jyo is Good as always too but this one belongs to karthi
Helan | AnnaBen,Lal| Malayalam[prime}: A very Well done Survival Drama about a girl stuck in a freezer at work place, Major Shoutout to the cinematography and ofcourse anna who’s so vulnerable int he situation yet has this fierceness in her act.
AlaVaikunthapuramloo|Allu Arjun,Tabu,Pooja Hegde| Telugu [netflix] Now this is what you call a complete family entertainer. After ages an allu arjun film which is so enjoyable and entertaining and has an interesting story too. It’s basically about a poor PA switching his child with the Boss’s child and what happens next.My only complaint is why don’t we have more of tabu and Bunny together. full on paisa vasool movie.Heard Karthik aryan is doing remake. plzz are you kidding me with this[so offended]
Sillu Karupatti|tamil| *sara arjun and a bunch of new People lol[Netflix]  Ahhh every story in this compilation of short stories is so real and So Beautiful. This one makes you beleive in Actual Love. Watch it esp for PinkBag(the first story and the 2nd one i forgot the name of)
Varane Avashyamund|Dulquer salmaan, shobana, kalyani priyadarshan|Malayalam[Netflix] This is the one that makes you miss home..leaves you smiling and you don’t realize when you’ve started feeling like you are part of the same apartment complex. again why so little of DQ and shobhana though?:( but yeah if you want to watch a feel Good film watch this one
Kaithi|Karthi|tamil {hotstar}  Kaithi is a tense, impressively shot action thriller It;’s about  A prisoner on parole, who’s on his way to meet his daughter, is enlisted by an injured police officer to protect a few cops. With the entire lot of gangsters in the place after them, can the prisoner save the day? Watch it for some Awesome Action sequences and For Karthi in probably his career best performance. Watch it before bollywood ruins it . i heard they are casting some shit actor for it. so yeah you probably wanna watch it with karthik. i was moved by the father daughter’s bond even though they were strangers to each other
Uyare|parvathy, tovino thomas,Asif Ali|malayalam[netflix]: a poignant tale of courage and survival. Parvathy is On some other High as  pallavi. it’s about an Acid Victim’s determination to be what she wanted to be to find her place in society. Brave Act and a Freaking awesome Movie
Virus|parvathy, tovino thomas, soubin, rima Kallingal|malayalam[prime] This one is quiet relevant in the times of Pandemic too. A film full of compassion  about containing a virus before it ruins too much based  the nippah virus outbreak in kerala recently. Also what An ensemble, Props to asshiq for managing to get that cast on board and then making a brilliant film.
Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal|dulquer salmaan,Ritu Varma|rakshan|tamil[netflix] Two cons fall in love and decide to mend his way and settle down with their girlfriends. But a couple of curve balls, one in the form of a determined cop, are just waiting in store. It works for it’s Twists I Mean  Who expected someof  those twists and Turns?? Watch it for it’s unapologetic nature and Dulquer’s Performance.
Chhapaak|deepika padukone, vikrant massey|Hindi [hotstar] Hah! another Acid Victim survival Film. Yup But this one is Not entirely Fictional. This one is Based on a  real victim. Equally Compelling and Amazing. Deepika is simply At her best as malti.
Thappad[tapsee, pavail gulati, ratna pathak shah|hindi[prime] A Must Must Must Watch. If I want you guys to watch anything on this list for sure it is This and asuran. This one is What you call a film on true feminism Which speaks about Domestic abuse but that’s not it it has underlying themes of Sexism, unequality . i have raved so much about it. it is SUch a strong take  Shown in a rather tender way minus any big lectures yet it’s hardhitting and soul stirring. WATCH IT LADIES
Oh my Kaduvale|Vijay Sethupathy, ashok selvan, ritika singh|tamil[einthusan] it’s a Romatic Fantasy FIlm and again what a twist that was barely have seen a desi fantasy film handled & presented  this well and being his enjoyable. Sweet, simple and feel good. watch for the super fun cameo by Sethupathy hehe
Kombalungi Nights|fahadh faasil, shane nigam, anna ben, soubin saher|Malayalam[prime]  The film revolves around four brothers who share a love-hate relationship with each other. Their relationship progresses to another level when Saji, Boney, and Franky decide to help Bobby stand by his love. I didn’t wanted this one to be over. Experience it i won’t say much caz whatever i say won’t be enough so i’d rather not waste yours or my time hehe.
Don’t forget to tag me or share with me what you think of them if you end up watching. my askbox is always open’ i’d love to hear your thoughts

Light Novel Club, Chapter 28: Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Vol. 1
Welcome to our Light Novel Club discussion of Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai!
As a reminder, the Light Novel Club discussions are now held publicly on the Beneath the Tangles Discord server. I bring this up because this time around, we actually have a number of participants in our discussion on Discord, which made for a very lively discussion this time around! That said, because of the sheer volume of the discussion, we cannot post the entire discussion here without making the post way too long, so we instead have a highlight reel of our discussion. So let’s jump in to the discussion on this light novel that inspired a popular anime, featuring a rascal, a bunny girl, and a strange take on Schrödinger’s cat!
-----
1. What are your overall thoughts on the novel?
Firefox789: My overall thoughts on the novel can be summarized like this: it was an enjoyable and addictive light novel to read. The character interactions really made me enjoy the novel even more than I expected, as some parts of the novel couldn’t be adapted into the anime whether due to the challenge of including them or time/budget contraints (ex. Sakuta’s inner monologue). Character interactions were definitely one of the strong points of the light novel.
Closet0taku: It’s interesting to approach a light novel after having seen the anime (and movie). I enjoyed the LN as it gave more depth to all of the characters I encountered in the anime while also setting up the mysteries that would take another half-dozen light novels to solve. I think, though, that had I read LN #1 first before the anime was released, I’m not sure I would have continued on with the books; the scars on Sakuta’s chest and Kaede’s syndrome might not have intrigued me enough to continue. On the other hand, the denoument with Koga might have been the hook to keep me going. Having very much enjoyed the anime and movie, I find the LNs are indispensable in fully appreciating the whole story, and what points the author was trying to make about culture and relationships.
stardf29: I definitely liked the whole idea of various socio-psychological issues being reflected in the real, physical world. It’s the sort of teenage drama I enjoy from all these anime/manga/light novels in high school settings, since they are issues that people struggle with even after their teenage years, and the novels definitely worked in those struggles well. The novel could also be fun when it wanted to be fun, and the relationship between Sakuta and Mai was also nice, so yeah, definitely a great read overall.
RyanDH: I thought the novel was very fun and relatable. Lots of times, depictions of teenagers can be cringey or out-of-touch, but I found all of the dialogue and characters to be believable and well-written.
Twwk: I mostly enjoyed it! I sometimes got caught up in how poorly the series functions as science fiction—more on that later— and in what I felt was novice-level writing from the author, but when I wasn’t tripped up by those foibles, I blazed through the volume, ravenous for one page after another. It was a fun read.
BambiBethy: I have a confession…I’m only on chapter two because busy mom life! So it’s too soon for me to assess the book as a whole.
2. What made the light novel an enjoyable read for you? (via Firefox789)
stardf29: One reason I like light novels as a medium is how we get to see the thought processes of the characters, and getting into Sakuta’s head here definitely added to how much I enjoyed the novel.
RyanDH: Sakuta was an extremely relatable protagonist for me. I was in a similar situation while still in high school: no phone and a bit of a cynical view of the atmosphere and politics involved in being a teenager. Phones open up so many doors for social interaction, but it also means that nearly every second of young peoples’ lives is now dedicated to maintaining and improving their relationships with their classmates. Look at Kaede’s situation: one missed message and suddenly her friends and her whole class had turned on her. They never get to be truly alone, and I find the whole concept really interesting to try to understand at a deeper level.
BambiBethy: So far I am really enjoying the banter between Mai and Sakuta.
3. If both an anime and LN/manga for the series is available, do you have a preference as to which order you approach them? (via Closet0taku)
FIrefox789: I have learned that my best approach for getting into a title is see how the community reacts to how well the source material is being adapted. If the community thinks that a light novel has a decent to above average adaptation, I will usually watch the anime first and then decide whether I want to read the novels. Bunny Girl Senpai is a case where I was sold on the series to the point I decided to fork out $140 on buying the TV series and movie on Blu-ray and also buying the novels as they released in English officially. However, if it’s the case I hear that the anime isn’t doing the best job at adapting the source material (ex. Horimiya 2021), I will most likely stick with the source material whether it’s the manga or light novel. Manga is sometimes a debatable option for me because I have never liked manga adaptations of light novels as most of the time, they deviate from the novels.
stardf29: So I’ve had the opportunity to approach anime adaptations from all angles: seeing the anime first and then reading the novel, reading the novel first and then watching the anime, and a “hybrid” approach where I read some of the novel, and then watch the anime which goes beyond the point where I read. While I would generally prefer to read as much of the novel as will be adapted in the anime before watching said anime, realistically I often don’t have the time to read that much with all the other stuff there is to read. So the “hybrid” approach is a nice way to see how much I might be interested in an anime adaptation in the first place, and get a feel for how good the adaptation is.
RyanDH: I definitely like to read something before watching it, if possible. It gives my imagination more creative freedom to create the world and characters on my own, rather than just imagine the ones I’m already used to seeing.
BambiBethy: I actually just finished the anime and movie. I usually don’t like reading books if I’ve already seen the live or animated adaptation, but in this case it’s ok since I can imagine the characters from the anime. Also there’s a lot more depth in the LN.
Tumblr media
4. In the first chapters of volume, it’s revealed that this novel would be almost a nonlinear story. What was your reaction to this literary writing style? (via Firefox789)
Close0taku: I personally like non-linear novels, films, anime, and other media. It’s a challenge to the viewer to make sense of it. I know some viewers do not like it and find it distracting or confusing—tell me a story, don’t make it convoluted—since it’s obvious that the narrator knows exactly what has happened. But that’s really not how we live life, is it? We often find out “the rest of the story” after we’ve been introduced to people or places; besides, if we were (in Bunny Girl Senpai) to learn at the start exactly the reason for Kaede’s illness or Sakuta’s scars, it wouldn’t be nearly as dramatic. I like mysteries, and while the classic mystery seems linear, it shares the same sort of twists and turns as you discover more information. So, I have no issue with it.
RyanDH: I found the story easy to follow, and it moved at a pace that was just fast enough to progress, but also slow enough to have solid characterization of the main couple, as well as some of the side characters.
stardf29: The funny thing is, this series shares some similarities with Bakemonogatari, which is also non-linear in nature and starts after the protagonist has experienced supernatural events already. (I even read the first Bakemonogatari novel soon after reading this novel…) I think it’s an interesting setup for various reasons. First of all, you don’t have to waste much time with the protagonist getting shocked that supernatural events are happening in the first place. Second, it provides some hooks for future content to revisit the past. Perhaps the most notable thing is yet another thing that Rascal shares with Monogatari: The first story that is told is the one focusing on the girl that the guy is primarily romatically interested in. Because other girls are involved with what happened to them beforehand, this helps “keep them out” of the romance picture; I don’t have to worry about getting too attached to those other girls and not being able to support the “main girl.”
Twwk: That’s really interesting that you make that connection to Monogatari, stardf29. I don’t recall thinking it when I watched the anime series, but while reading the light novel, I kept returning to Monogatari and thinking that it must have influenced it. Rascal is almost a more palatable version of Monogatari, easy to engage with but also less creative (not that a bunny girl isn’t an interesting way to begin a novel series!).
5. The novels get a lot of praise for portraying the relationship between our main duo, Sakuta and Mai, very well and with an entertaining writing style. What do you think makes their relationship so special? (via Firefox789)
RyanDH: What was so funny and likable about their synergy was the shock factor involved in some of their banter. I could NEVER imagine saying to a girl some of the things Sakuta says while poking fun at Mai, but the fact that she responded similarly always made me laugh.
Closet0taku: Sakuta has almost no filter. He often says what he feels. He has a lot of respect and integrity where Mai is concerned, but he can’t turn off his teenage self, either. He’s unapologetic about trying to steal a kiss from Mai (he’s unsuccessful in LN 1), if not more. Mai tries to match Sakuta’s frankness, but falls short, and embarrasses herself when she does. It’s this twisted repartee where both are learning about the other through a variety of trying circumstances as they both come to grips with the strange goings-on.
stardf29: There’s something to be said for the gap in Sakuta’s and Mai’s statuses: Sakuta is kind of the loser guy in school (for various reasons), while Mai is a famous actress. Under normal circumstances, the two shouldn’t even ever talk with each other, but because of the whole Adolescence Syndrome, they find not only a reason to talk, but also a chance to understand each other beyond the statuses they have. As others have said, they also play off each other well, which helps balance out the more serious moments between the two.
BambiBethy: Their personalities are amazing! The way they just clicked when they first met is really special. I love imagining their banter and facial expressions.
Tumblr media
6. What do you think of Sakuta and Mai individually as characters?
Firefox789: Sakuta is definitely a great portrayal of a non-typical male teenage light novel protagonist. What makes Sakuta a great character isn’t that he manages to get the girl, but how he does. Sakuta has enough self confidence in himself that he can approach the beautiful actress, Mai Sakurajima, without having second doubts about how he sees himself in comparison to others. He never compares himself to Mai or gets down on himself for wanting to approach her. Sakuta felt attracted to Mai and just approached her without any second thoughts. A reason why Mai was willing to open up to Sakuta was because he was honest to her about why he was approaching her and why he wanted to help her. If Sakuta had lied to Mai even once, it would have been game over for him, so him being honest to her was the one reason why his relationship with her was so successful. A minor complaint about Sakuta is that he can sometimes blurt out the most blatant and inappropriate comments known to a teenage boy, but he has enough good qualities to himself that most readers can overlook his flaws.
Closet0taku: Sakuta is a noble soul trapped in a teenager’s body. “I just can’t ignore someone in trouble,” is his life philosophy. He’s proven it with Kaede, and will demonstrate it again with Mai. I think the consistency of his character is maintained throughout the LN. As far as Mai is concerned…she’s a little more undefined as a person—we don’t get to hear her inner monologue, so we have to take her at face value. I can’t say whether a celebrity would really act this way, but I am happy Mai is doing so.
7. What do you think of the other characters that appear in this volume?
Closet0taku: I like how all the other characters have their quirks—the dismissive Futaba, vulnerable Kaede, brash Koga, reliable Kunimi. They’re not terribly well-developed yet—that will happen in the future—but they are good touchstones for Sakuta to interact with as he moves throughout his day trying to get to the bottom of Mai’s Adolescent Syndrome.
stardf29: I don’t have too much to add about the main characters; they’re both good protagonists for this story as others have said. There sure are some fun side characters, though, which is good because they will be in focus in later volumes. Kaede is your classic Overly Attached Little Sister, though perhaps she has more reason of being so attached given her past. Kunimi is a nice guy friend to support Sakuta (his girlfriend is kind of a jerk, though, to put it nicely). Tomoe is… silly. I mean, it’s one thing to kick a guy because you misunderstood when he was helping a kid, but to ask him to kick you back as penance? Definitely an amusing first impression. And Rio provides the scientific info dumps and assistance with figuring the whole “Adolescent Syndrome” out, and I do like these sorts of “professor” characters like her.
Twwk: Aside from the mains, I definitely found myself liking Tomoe. As stardf29 notes…so silly. What an unusual introduction!
Tumblr media
8. What do you think of how the story uses the idea of “Adolescent Syndrome” in general, and the concept of Schrödinger’s cat in this volume?
Twwk: It confused me—though that’s not the novelist’s fault. I thought Adolescent Syndrome was a referrence to being a chuunibyou, as if these occurrences were chuunibyou come to life. But I later gathered that the syndrome is actually completely made up for this series. I do think that using this invented syndrome though, along with the use science elements, weakens the story. Before the discussion above comparing the series to Monogatari, it was more The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya that I was most reminded of. That series—and Monogatari as well—uses the supernatural in a way that makes the science fiction possible, and thus veers it toward a direction where the novel doesn’t much have to explain its science. But here, it feels like we’re supposed to accept the science presented, and that’s problematic because it’s not written particularly well. It feels like the writer did about an hour of research and just went with it, which is fine if your story involves espers and goddesses along with aliens and time travelers, but not when Sakuta turns to Rio for “hard science” advice. If the author just forgot the science angle and say, made Rio into some other type of character (she doesn’t particularly seem a good scientist as she is, by the way, guzzling coffee from beakers), I would have more readily accepted Schrödinger’s cat as an idea just put forward by an adolescent, and it would work in this supernatural environment.
stardf29: I actually liked the usage of Schrödinger’s cat in the story; maybe I’m just more interested in science overall, but I thought the reflection of this bit of quantum mechanics into real-world phenomenon was done pretty well. It’s not so much science working in weird ways to me as it is some kind of supernatural force that has “hijacked” scientific concepts. In that sense it does make me curious as to what this whole “Adolescent Syndrome” actually is, and if we’ll learn more about where it comes from.
RyanDH: So well said stardf29, I agree 100%. A supernatural force “hijacking” science is exactly the vibe I got from that portion of the book, and that theme definitely carried over into the second book as well. I believe our intrinsic need to understand and classify the world and wrap up all of these findings into what we call “science” can leave us with certain biases when we experience something so out of the ordinary
Twwk: So you both like how science is woven into the plot? “Hijacking” science is an interesting way of seeing it, but it’s use in this novel remains a wall for me. When you allow your work to enter the realm of science fiction, it needs to feature a sense of realism related to that science, and somehow talking science without letting it guide the principles of the story feels like a cheap plot device, like, “Let’s throw science in this story to make it distinct! One of the girls can even be a science nerd!” But perhaps that’s just coming from someone with way too much bias for sci-fi novels.
stardf29: Maybe likewise because I’m more of a fantasy person, I can think of this more as “the fantasy-zation of science” rather than science in and of itself?
Closet0taku: I’m fine with the scientific parallels to quantum theory and relativity, and in particular the theories of observation (which go beyond physics and into philosophy) that give rise to Mai’s manifestation of the syndrome.
9. How much can you relate to the struggles that Sakuta or Mai go through?
Twwk: Related to the question earlier about their relationship, I like “watching” Sakuta and Mai. They have a fun report. I don’t necessarily relate to them because I find them a bit idealized—Sakuta is a little too self-aware, confident, and strong, and is too easily able to charm Mai, who on the other hand is walking wish fulfillment—though if I had to pick one, I find her more relateable in the sense that she’s struggling under a weight that she doesn’t necessarily need to carry, but still is unable to lift off herself. I don’t think that’s unusual for people to experience, especially when you’re a teenager.
stardf29: I think what I relate to most, moreso than the characters’ Adolescent Syndrome-related issues, is the whole idea that there’s some kind of “atmosphere” within a certain group (like the students at a school) and how people will get looked down upon for trying to ruin that atmosphere by doing something that “stands out.” That is definitely something that I feel is stifling about socializing, and Sakuta breaking past that to confess his love for Mai was a great “ruin the atmosphere” moment in the book.
Closet0taku: I don’t know that I can relate to their particular struggles, as I think high schools in the U.S. are somewhat less focused on the “atmosphere” and the impenetrable cliques that form. I won’t say it’s unique to Japan, but it is certainly endorsed by its culture.

- ̗̀ ❛ muse 22 , kim chungha , she / her . ❜ ̖́- did you hear about the monaco trip ? it’s legendary at ucla. holland “holly” min is going, i’m so jealous. their instagram makes it seem like they’re pretty vivacious and they’re all about an empty locket around a delicate neck  &  strawberry flavored lip gloss. can you believe they’re only twenty-one and they’re going on a free trip to monaco for the summer ? hopefully they don’t let their quixotic side show too much on the trip.
hello… im xan ( she / her pronouns ) im 21 and its been...200 years since i’ve made an intro post or rped so JSDBJW go easy on me ! fun fact half my keyboard is broken…..so if i take 10 yrs to reply sometimes just kno….a bitch is trying her best ok... literally just winging all of this as i type if u thought i had a plan think again JSDBWB *jungkook vc* lets get it....
pause . before we get it JDBWJDJ we can plot here over ims if discord isnt ur scene !! BUT i am....way more likely to respond to discord messages bc its easier !! so u can find me on there @  A GIRL WITH LUV 💖✨🌙#8172
idk what is triggering for any of u so if mentions of AGE GAPS, DRUG ABUSE, CAR ACCIDENTS, or SEX ADDICTIONS is sensitive stuff pls proceed with caution !!!
BACKSTORY: so . this is holland but she thinks her name is UGLY so she goes by holly
she was born and raised in los angeles and her parents both own / run a luxury chain of rehab centers for ppl with $$$ ( u already know i want a plot involving this xx ) they are new money ! so holly really does not understand ... the spoiled lifestyle since her parents raised her pretty conciously on stories abt how they struggled as immigrants coming to a new country & making it & all that jazz
as a kid her parents would host / try to charm a lot of potential donors or clients so they’d make holly “entertain” them like as a kid she’d just be cute or maybe sing a song from chorus or just be impressively well-behaved but the older she got...the more her mom would demand from her /:
as all this was going on her parents started to have issues so instead of working it out.... holly’s dad just started traveling a whole lot to other states & countries where they had a business so growing up he wasn’t really in the picture . rip !
back to holly ! so her mom had a few close business partners and “friends” that where around holly’s family pretty much all the time and there was this one guy who was relatively younger than most of the men but still significantly older than 14 year old holly who had a huge crush. basically this man tried to take advantage of that bc hes UGLY .
one day holly’s mom caught this dude alone with holly and being way too friendly for comfort and instead of flipping on the dude she flipped on holly and was like we could lose our business and i think it’s all ur fault for causing drama” and holly was literally like What the Fuck !!! her mom cut off all ties with the dude but she still made holly feel like it was her own fault woo !!
more stuff her mom did ? yea ! one night when she was 17 she was out with this guy who had celebrity parents just eating at a nice place and drinking after and as he was driving her home, they get into a big car accident. turns out that the guy she had gone to dinner with had a coke addiction & was literally high the whole time & the only reason holly’s mom had set them up was so he’d check into their rehab center bc his famous parents were considering it but she never told holly any of that so holly was PISSED but relatively unharmed from the accident besides some bruising
basically by the time college came a bitch was ready she moved out, trying to have a fresh start away from her home life ! but college was also messy basically over the years holly developed a big dependency issue where she literally...craves attention and intimacy sososo bad bc she never got it from her family so ! she looks for it in other ppl like she needs to feel that validation so bad & she does that with really unhealthy sexual habits low key bordering addiction !
oh also ? since her family was never the family vacation type JSBDWJBDJ she’s never left california before so a bitch is VERY excited and if u try to make her feel bad for it . she will tell u to fuck off and let her have this !
PERSONALITY + TIDBITS: honestly one of the most sociable ppl u will ever meet she was literally raised to entertain and please so its super easy for her to make friends !! literally one of those ppl that just.....know everyone and ur like how the fuck !!! an avid social media user...are u even friends if u dont have a snap streak ? not to holly JSBDJWBDJ definitely her guilty pleasure aside from u know...sex !
speaking of sex she really.....ho(e)lly gets around ... 100% a chaotic bi but her trust for men is abt at a solid 0 ! she will still desperately seek validation from them though so thats fun ! she can be a gossip bc shes a gemini ... but she never does it on purpose she just ... tells funny stories & realizes half way through she was talking abt a friend’s tinder date horror story ... oops ... share secrets cautiously !
for someone who makes friends like its nothing shes pretty hesitant to share any real info abt herself bc she fears being rejected and abandoned ( not just romantically ) more than anything else like shes one of those ppl who ur like “oh yeah i know her!” but if someone asks u to tell them one important thing abt her ur not gonna know wtf to say
also she’s usually very amiable but if ur just .... a horrible person .. shes gonna be honest about it SDBSJWB shes got some strong opinions ! but also very unrealistic expectations in others so a lot of the time shes just ... disappointing herself for hyping u up inside her own head
she was an english major ! bc i love to self insert <3 JSDBJWBJ but she low key wishes she did something with film bc she loves editing videos & making videos abt her friends so if ur her pal ... u 100% have abt 50 videos ur a star in ! she tried to learned to speak french 100% for the aesthetic of it but only remembers like 5 words….she used to play the fucking ukulele but stopped bc her mom was like holly grow UP JSBDSJBJW shes scared of the dark /: like legit scared if she is sleeping alone a light has to stay on....and yea i dont know what else this is long enough JSDBJSWBJW IM SORRY
im out of ... juice UHHH but some basic ideas for plots are stuff to do with her family ( family friends, maybe ur muse or their family is somehow involved with her parent’s rehab center, or ur muse or their family could have been one of those business partners...whew we have possibilities !!! ), shes an only child so i would die for sibling type friendships, hmm also fwbs or just hook up connections bc those can get uhh Dramatic since she is so dependent on sex, also would die for like confidants bc thats rare for holly like sharing her deep feelings or whatever ... enemy plots are sexy but im gonna be real honest here . i suck at purely hateful connections so if u want a mean plot we gotta have depth ! JSXBDSJDB um romatic stuff too also more platonic stuff like best friends or party buddies thats literally enough i’ve been typing for HOURS . plot with me .. or Perish xx

5. ALL TOO WELL
Let’s continuing with one of the most heartbreaking, saddest and complex of the entire record of RED. This song finds Taylor reminiscing on the memories of a past relationship from start to finish. The track was written by Taylor and Liz Rose, who was also a collaborator in her previous albums.
The song starts the story - telling with:  “I walked through the door with you The air was cold But something ‘bout it felt like home somehow”
Walking through a door can be used as a metaphor to indicate the start of something new like a love story. Taylor compares their relationship to a house, at the beginning it was cold since the two just met, but at the same time she felt at home with him and she knew that it could be the start of something important.
After all these days, we can see that he still has her scarf, which she left at his sister’s house. Despite the ending of their relationship, his memento proves he still cares about her, and the scarf acts as a token of his continued passion: “ And I left my scarf there, at your sister’s house And you’ve still got it  In your drawer, even now” The fact that it’s in the drawer highlights that although she will continue to be a part of him, she isn’t relevant to his life in the same way she used to be.
In the firt verse, we realize that she fell for him initially because he had a warm, kind feel about him and she was a bit naïve. The two went on road trips together, singing songs and enjoying their time together: “Oh, your sweet disposition And my wide-eyed glaze  We’re singing in the car getting lost upstate Autumn leaves falling dow like pieces into place And I can picture it after all these days” Leaves randomly falling off trees in autumn is a natural part of the season cycle, but the occurrence was so appropriate for the moment that it seemed each leaf was falling artistically in the right place. This also accents on how detailed Taylor’s memory is. Even though she wants to forget about the relationship, she can still visualize all the moments they spend together; even the way the leaves fell on the ground. The phrase “pieces into place” also insinuates coming together. What I mean is that love is like a puzzle put together; as their relationship was growing tighter in that moment.
The pre-chorus describes perfectly how she really felt when the relationship came into an end: “And I know it’s long gone And that magic is not here no more And I might be okay, but I’m not fine at all” She knows that they are not together anymore, but she doesn’t want to accept it. The relationship had such a strong emotional commitment to it that it’s hard to separate herself. While on the surface she acts unaffected by the breakup, it leaves her shaken and sad.
As the song goes on, in the chorus we figure out that this song blurs the line between memory and reality. One of Taylor’s major song-writing tropes is to privilege the past on equal grounds to the present and here she state explicitily that the past is “here” “again.”: “’Cause there we are again on that little town street”
The next line in the chorus, is probably one of the most romatic lines in songwriting history: “You almost ran the red ‘cause you were looking over me” The idea is so simple: her lover was so swooned by her that he nearly killed them. Moreover, the idea of trysting lovers risking it all for their passion is a major theme in literature and song. As an example we have the well-known Shakespeare’s work: “Romeo and Juliet”. Also, this isn’t the first time Taylor has used traffic light metaphors. She also uses it in the 1st and 11th track on the red album. In an interview for Wonderland magazine’s “Outspoken Issue,” Taylor talked about this: “Relationships are like traffic lights. And I just have this theory that I can only exist in a relationship if it’s a green light.”
It continues saying: “Wind in my hair, I was there, I remeber it all too well” The idea of wind in her hair reminisces on times that were carefree and fun. It’s a blur between Taylor’s reality and what she wants to remember the relationship as. Taylor believes it was perfect the whole time; it was almost like living in a dreamed state that she can’t shake the rushes of feelings she gets back as time progresses even after the relationship: she remembers it all too well. Because the feelings were so strong and intense, she can’t just forget it. .
She keeps telling the story really detailed, recalling the good moments of the relationship: “Photo album on the counter, your cheeks were turning red You used to be a little kid with glasses in a twin-size bed And your mother’s telling stories about you on a tee ball team You tell me about your ast, thinking your futre was me”
When their relationship is finally over she’s trying to think about how she could’ve saved it, but isn’t coming up with anything: “And I know it’s long gone And there was nothing else I could do And I forget about you long enough To forget why I needed to” She makes the decision to move on from her relationship and attempts to forget about it completely. However, it’s the intricate memories detailed throughout the song which make it difficult for her to move on easily, as she remembers the good times of the relationship and clings onto that.
In the second chorus, Taylor exhibits her artistry with carefully picked wording: “’Cause there we are again in the middle of the night We are dancing around the kitchen in the refrigerator light Down the stairs, I was tgere, I remmber it all too well” The “middle of the night” and subtle “refrigerator light” uses imagery to point to the intimacy of the moment. She paints the picture of a quiet, sweet moment shared between the lovers which beautifully contrasts the more vivid, rushing emotions from the car ride in verse 1.
Afterwards, we realized that Taylor and her lover probably had two different ideas about the way their relationship should’ve proceeded; she wanted a serious and long lasting one while he didn’t want to commit yet and ran away from her, destroying all the good that they built together: “Maybe we got lost in translation Maybe I asked for too much But maybe this thing was a masterpiece  ‘Til you tore it all up Running scared, I was there, I rember it all too well” Fun fact: Lost in Translation was a 2003 comedy-drama film, considered to be one of the best films of the 2000’s. It revolved around two strangers who form a personal yet short-lived relationship. The reference was likely intentional.
She continues the song, saying: “I’m a crumpled up piece of paper lying here ‘Cause I remmber it all, all, all too well” Theatrically, when an artist scraps his work, he crumples the piece of paper he’s working on and throws it away. Taylor is essentially portraying herself as her ex’s “rough draft.” Even though she’s scrapped and forgotten, she still remembers everything as she has all of his “work” written on her. A key theme in this song is change. Take a clean sheet of paper, and crumple it up. No matter what you do to that crumpled up piece of paper, you can’t make that sheet into the clean, pure piece of paper that it originally was. Her relationship with him was so strong, that once they broke up, she was forever changed.
When they broke up, though, Taylor sadly lost her ability to enjoy a successful independence: “I’d like to be my old self again But I’m still trying to find it”. “After plaid shirt days and night when you made me tour own Now you mail back my things and I walk home alone” “Made me your own” in contrast to “walk home alone” are also important pieces here. The former seems to refer to an intense closeness between him and Taylor; likely both sexual and emotional in nature.
In the last lines of the bridge, she mentions again the scarf she was reffering earlier in the song: “But you keep my old scarf from that very first week ‘Cause it remainds you of innocence and it smells like me You can’t get rid of it, ‘cause you remember it all too well”
It means so much to him that, even after he’s returned all her other items, he’s kept the scarf. Again, the scarf symbolizes his longing and passion for the relationship. Taylor isn’t the only one hurting. There’s an element of nostalgia that goes beyond his relationship with Taylor, too. He misses the innocence of that time in his life, when even a kiss was exciting, before he got older and the kinds of things he did with Taylor became routine with other girls. She mentions specifically that it’s from “that very first week,” when their romance, and romance in general, was still fresh and new to them. In a way, the scarf is a symbol of his relationship with Taylor, and his relationship with Taylor is a symbol of his lost innocence.
To sum up, with the last three lines, Taylor recalls all the important moments she talked about in the song. She’s positive that he remembers these special times. The one difference? he may not have realized how special their love affair was, but she sure did. She knows their relationship is over, but she won’t forget it easily: “Wind in my hair, you were there, you rember it all Down the stair, you were there, you remmber it all It was rare, I was there, I remember it all too well”.
Co-writer Liz Rose said to Rolling Stone Magazine: “When we wrote the song, I hadn’t heard from her in awhile. She hadn’t really been writing. I was in Nashville one day, slowly moving the last bits of junk out of my garage so I could move to Dallas. […] I was in my driveway and my phone rings, and it’s Taylor saying, ‘Man, I’ve got this thing and I really need you to help me with it. Can you write today? What are you doing today?’ [I later] drove over to Taylor’s. It was the first song she wrote for that record, I think. She had a story and she wanted to say something specific. She had a lot of information. I just let her go. She already had a melody and she started singing some words, and I started writing things down, saying, ‘Ok, let’s use this, let’s use that.’ She mentioned a plaid shirt, and I wrote that down in a corner, and when we got to the end, I said, ‘Let’s put the plaid shirt in there.’ That turned into one of the best lines. […] It was the most emotional, in-depth song we’ve ever written.”
Also, Taylor said: “All Too Well” was difficult to write emotionally because it took me a really long time to filter through everything I wanted to put in the song without it being a 10 minute song, which you can’t put on an album. I wanted a story that could work in the form of a song and I called my co-writer Liz Rose and said, ‘Come over, we’ve gotta filter this down,’ and it took me a really long time to get it.”
Favorite lyrics: All the freaking song.

Word count: 618
angst/fluff
You were still at school to learn for your exams but since it was already late and you couldn’t consentrate anymore you decided to go home. After you went to the fresh air you got a call from someone. You quickly grabbed your phone from your pocket and looked at the screen. It was your boyfriend Mark. You didn’t had a lot contact since he was a member from nct. Actually you missed him so much and he was always in your mind but you weren’t sure if you should take the call. You were a little bit angry but you knew that he’s working hard and he’s doing everything except to spend some time with his girlfriend but you couldn’t hold back anymore and you took his call.
Mark:’’y/n?’’
you:’’ yes?’’ you said with a husky voice
Mark:’’can we talk?’’
After he said that you heard some noices from your phone. There was loud music in the background and you couldn’t understand him anymore. The call was canceled. You tried to call him back but you already knew it. He’s to busy for you.
You went home with sad emotions and took a hot shower. After you finished you took some ice cream and turned on the TV to distract your feelings but it was unsuccessful. You couldn’t eat the ice cream you felt like you already ate tons of it. In the TV were just sad and romatic dramas. Now you didn’t want to watch something like that at all. The time didn’t flew quick and you were bored so you decided to do something on your phone. You watched some old photos and selfies of you and Mark and you got teary eyes. There was a video too and you qickly watched it.
Mark and you had an sleepover at his dorm. It was the time were Mark wasn’t busy yet. Mark filmed you while you tried to built a hideout of pillows and blankets for both of you. He went to you and hugged you tightly and kissed you on the cheek. Then he layed down the camera beside you and took a pillow and threw it on your had. At this time you began a pillowfight. You ran away before he could attack you. Mark stole your pillow from your hand so you couldn’t throw it at him. You both did a big mess of the pillows and Mark took the camera and turned it off.
The video ended and you heart hurted. You quickly grabbed the blanket and coverd your body. Suddenly there came noise from your window and you looked at it and saw someone throwing stones on it. You quickly opened it and suddenly Mark occurred. He took you in his arms.
Mark:’’I’m sorry that I ended our call but my members interruped me but I really wanted to tell you something I had to tell you earlier, so I left my shedule and came to you’’
You didn’t say anything because you were speechless and that made Mark hug you tighter.
Mark:’’ I really do love you and I’m sorry I didn’t spend time with you’’
He took your cheeks and kissed your lips gently.
Mark:’’ but I want to make amends and please go with me for a few weeks to canada, I want you to meet my family’’
You were surprised of this sudden and happy too.
You:’’ of course I would love to’’ you said while he widely smiled at you.
You quickly took a pillow and throw it onto his head. He wanted a revenge and tickled you until you began to cry and he slept over and held you tightly while you fell asleep
sorry for such a bad story but I hope you liked it and please send in some requests !!!!!!!!! I would love to write something for you guys! don’t forget I do textings to ! ;)

Missing9′s Chinese version is a romatic comedy...’completely different story’
Tumblr media
Drama Missing9′s Chinese version will unfold a different story than the Korean version.
During the 16th, according to broadcast officials, Missing9 Chinese version is in production not as a mystery but as romantic comedy. Missing9 Chinese version will only have the same cast and characters but will have a completely different story as the Korean version. Missing9′s Jung Kyungho, Baek Jinhee, Oh Jeongse, Lee Seonbin, Yang Donggeun, EXO Chanyeol will be making an appearance.
Time of release for Missing9 Chinese version has not been decided yet. Missing9 producer, SM C&C reveals that “Currently, although most of the parts has been filmed, all there is left is the additional filming. After all filming has finished will we be able to determine the time of broadcast.”
Last, January 18, Missing9 which was first broadcasted in MBC showed a teaser of a plane crash surrounded with mystery and received a lot of anticipation but as the story lost direction, the viewers were disappointed. Missing9 which has now been off air for 9 days, had a 4.2% (Nielsen Korea Nationwide Standard) during its last episode. It ended with a low viewer rating.
In China, Missing9 Chinese version is receiving a lot of anticipation from the appearance of Chanyeol who is part of the popular nine member group EXO. Amidst the *current ban of online access to Korean entertainment , Missing9′s outcome is gaining attention.
