Thinking about the idea that the 'first playthrough' of Dragon's Dogma 2 isn't actually the first playthrough solely because the Rivage Elder starts talking like he knows you, always picking up where he left off.

  The District of Columbia Branch, National Association for the Advancement of colored People, numbering upwards of 7,000 members in the District of Columbia, respectfully invites your attention to the attached clipping from the Washington Post giving authoritative figures for lynchings in the United States for the past six months.  Issued at a time when it appears that the fury of the German blow may fall at any time upon American troops, these figures will not be happy reading to the thousand of colored Americans whose sons and brothers will help to stem this blow.  A people less loyal than those represented by this Association would ask many questions upon reading these figures.  They would ask if it were worth while to send their sons and brothers to make the world safe for democracy when America, their home, is not safe for them; if the lynching of women is a fair sample of the treatment they may expect from the nation which was (and rightfully) shocked beyond expression by the execution of Miss Cavell; if this great government really includes them in its laudable program for world betterment.  Finally, they would want to know if the President, speaking the demands of this country for freedom for the oppressed peoples of distant lands, either knew or cared whether his words were being compared by the civilized world with the attached record of unpunished and unrebuked lawlessness.

Tuskegee, Ala.,  June 30 --  Thirty-five Persons were lynched in the United States in the first six months of this year, according to announcement by the division or records and research of Tuskegee Institute.

   The total exceeds by 21 the lynchings for the six months of 1917 and by 10 the number during a similar period in 1916.

   Thirty-four of the 35 persons lynched were negroes.  Three negro women were included in the list.

   Eight lynchings occurred in each of the States of Georgia and Louisiana, seven in Texas, four in Tennessee, two in Mississippi and on in each of the States of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina and South Carolina.

New furby prototypes!

Some interesting prototypes/special furbs that popped up on eBay that I haven’t seen a lot of people talking about

First one is this Chicago cubs adult,

It’s odd in the fact that the base claims to be 1999 Warner bros - and appears to be the same stamp as a gizmo furb. Also confirmation on the fact that this model has a mane.

Next one up is a gold furb!

This one I think is wayyy better than the previously known gold prototype. The tag also says “2nd counter sample” which on furbs typically indicates a model being presented to a 3rd party for approval. It also says “gold plated” which could mean the faceplate is real gold?

The battery compartment is also missing screws and batter terminals.

Next one up is a couple of Santa furbs.

They seem to be later prototypes. And I actually think they look a lot better than the final released furbs. The ears are notably different in the fact that they’re pink and white. The eyes are brown and they have they have partial battery terminals and screws. And have normal tags. The one with the sample tag also notably resembles the one featured on the released Santa tags

The Santa without a tag also appears to have a different mold of faceplate and pelt pattern.

Anyway, I’ll make a part 2 with the rest. These are just the ones I found the most interesting and I wanted to save the information for archival purposes

Standing tall and menacing, Sweet Tooth faced off against five armed scavengers, his grip tight on the machete while a malicious grin danced hidden beneath the mask.

"This is gonna be fun!" he chuckled darkly, relishing the imminent chaos.

He leaped forward, ready to unleash his fury upon these fools but just as his blade grazed the air, a faded black car emerged from around the corner of a building, speeding towards them with a roaring engine. The driver slammed on the brakes and the car drifted towards them. Two of the scavengers got knocked away by the rear. Oooh the symphony of the tail lights shattering into endless red fragments as they touched the fragile human bodies, like a million crimson droplets of sweet blood exploding into a fine mist. Ending on a high note with their bodies crashing against the pavement, smearing a macabre sanguine masterpiece on the asphalt. It was the pure beauty of murder and for a brief moment, Sweet Tooth wondered if the driver shared his twisted passion, sending shivers down their spine and causing goosebumps to ripple across their skin too.

The car came to a stop, and the door swung open, revealing you sitting inside, cool and composed with only a devilish grin tugging at the corners of your mouth. Gripping your pistol tightly, you took aim at the remaining scavengers, who were still crying at the sudden demise of their two friends. The sound of three gunshots pierced through their screams, echoing like thunder. One by one, the scavengers slumped to the ground, dark pools of blood forming around their corpses.

"Get in", your angelic and alluring voice rang to his ears, "more scavs on the way and they're armed and fast."

This was the exact moment Sweet Tooth knew that this was love and he swore, for the fraction of a second, a large pink heart materialised behind your figure, separating you from all that just had lost its significance. Yes, his heart was beating exclusively for you now. Oh such a delicious you, like a perfect scoop of heavenly sweetness atop a flawless cone, pleasing all his senses. Just like ice cream and he sure did love that one. A deep and somber chuckle escaped his chest as he settled into the passenger seat, closing the door. His dark eyes locked onto yours, staring straight into your soul.

"Okay, new pal o' mine! You look fun and I sure like fun. Let's get this bloody show on the road."

He could feel your excitement as you handed him the pistol before revving up the engine and speeding off through the narrow streets. The smirk on your lips teased him towards the edge of the very sanity he didn't possess. He growled, scolding himself internally. This was not the time, first he had to bring blood, pain and grief to those fuckers but after...it would be time for pleasure.

"So what's your name?", he playfully nudged you, letting out a chuckle.

Well, if you're really considered THAT good at fighting sequences, how would you set up a scene where the fight takes place in a cramped space with objects that are then used in the fight to stall or daze the opponent?

oh good question!

so, when setting up a fight, a thing a lot of people don't understand right off the bat is how an environment can emphasis a fight. how a location is set up can GREATLY change the outcome of any situation and it is our job as storytellers to think about how a person might see a situation and use it to their advantage.

one key point i wanna make tho, is that you should NOT set up an environment around a fight. you need to set up a fight AROUND the environment! key example of doing this wrong is say "oh! this character uses light to enhance their weapon/skill! so obviously to make them stronger you should make the room a stain glass/mirrors!" in what realistic scenario would that ever happen unless they were in a church or fun house of mirrors??? (not to say that wouldn't be an interesting fight, it would just be predictable and not as entertaining) you want the audience to go "woah! i never considered that! that's so cool!" and if you ONLY give the characters their pluses without thought... it can be less fun.

so here is what I would do when setting this scene up: say the character is running from some goons and runs into a shipyard warehouse with shipping boxes full of miscellaneous stuff. they hide behind a box, scared out of their mind as the goons search the warehouse. They either broke or lost their weapon along the way and they don't know what to do so they desperately look around for something that could help. Thats when they notice one of the boxes is full of bags of flour or sand ya know, something that creates dust, and another box is full of either pipes or rebar for a construction site.

there are many ways to use these items in a make shift way to stunn a bunch of people. you could create a cloud cover of flour and use a rebar/pipe to hit the goons one by one on top of their heads, you could toss the rebar on the ground and make the goons fumble and fall, you could look for rope to trip the goons and then pull a random box on them to hold them down, the list goes on.

Jakie Chan is the king of improvised fighting, highly recommend studying his films or watching this video to get a better idea on how to pull something like this off.

coming up with interesting angles to how a character would fight in a situation like this is part of the fun but it also would be cool for you to come up with unique takes on how to use these misc items.

if you want me to explain a very specific fight scene with more detail, I certainly can with more information. but a lot of this has to do with where the character could be, how the character thinks, what they have on or around them, and how you could make this interesting.

if i went back to the analogy of the shipyard warehouse, I could give you another angle entirely: mc using their vantage point of the rafters as leverage in a fight. whatever they find up there they drop down or use it to swing down and pick off the goons one by one.

another option could be they find a motorboat moored and unused but the engine is full of gas. so they rev it up and let it just decimate the warehouse and the goons run and try to dodge out of the way while the mc escapes.

it all depends on how you wanna work it :>

8. Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder?

Abby: Yes. Just yes. This kid has learnt from the story of an ex CIA agent and has seen too many crime documentaries. I don't know how she would do it but she would do it.

Sparrow: (I've already answered this question but I'll repeat it for ya!)

MMMHH if it's a yes/no answer I would say yes. She can really be cold minded when it comes to killing. And she has experience, she would know exactly what to do. But I must say, she wouldn't be able to get away in every case of murder, it depends on what really happened.

But on the funnier side, she has watched a lot of crime documentaries with Amara late at night so Maybe that's a plus hahaha!

13. If you met your OC would the two of you get along?

Abby: With Abby...? MMMHH in the beginning no. Definitely no. She's really mean to strangers that try to know her. So probably she would push me aside two seconds after I said Hi. And knowing my anxiety I would just stand there not knowing what to do like:

Rev: Hi! You are Abby right? Omg So nice to meet you!

Abs: the fuck do you want?

Rev: 🧍🏻‍♀️...

Sparrow: With Sparrow would be a totally different story I think. She's nicer to strangers and less aggressive. We would talk about our common hobbies, like Climbing, and mountains, and I would love to listen to her stories all the time. Maybe I would be a little bit intimidated by her appearance but nothing that her big smile can't fix hahaha!
