Angst! Ros reaction if the mc told them they wished they never met them

Peter Pan: The words hit Peter like daggers through his very soul, a playful response withering on his tongue before it had the chance to become reality. Dark brown eyes gazing at you with an expression of open shock; he couldn’t find any words, and expression, that could possibly showcase the agony that was currently leeching into his heart. Instead, Peter simply stares, no warmth, no humor, present within his countenance, before he takes off. Disappearing into the Never Land sky— trying to out fly his heartbreak on land.

James/Jasmine: The words cause ice to the run through their veins. Embarrassment quickly coming to the forefront of their mind— how could they be so foolish? How could they have let their guard down around you? “You do?” Their words are painfully quiet, the calm before the storm. “Then why are you still here?” Ice blue eyes perfectly mirror the coldness that was beginning to grip their heart as they stare at you. “Leave.”

Tinkerbell: Tears come unbidden to Tink’s eyes immediately— sapphire blue shimmering like precious gems because of them. She couldn’t believe that you’d ever say something so hurtful to her; not when she treasured all the moments that she had with you. Was it all a lie? Did she place too much hope in someone once more? Was she so foolish that she let this happen again? Turning from you, so you didn’t see the true devastation that you had caused, Tink wraps her arms around herself. “Then, I think it’d be best if you left.”

Lyra: A multitude of emotions flits across her face at your acidic words; the green depths of her eyes darkening like the tumultuous sea overtime. How could you say such a thing to her? After everything you’ve both been through together? “Then why are you still here, huh?” Anger was easier to handle. The bitter tang, the fire brewing within her stomach, was easier to get lost in. Not the agonized hollowness, the howling pain, that was her heart— even if she knows it’ll rear it’s ugly head when she was alone.

Hunter: He doesn’t give you time to continue, doesn’t give you a moment that you could take back your words, Hunter simply turns his back on you and walks away. Fists clenched at his sides, to keep them from shaking, Hunter tries his best not to let his own pain become too overpowering; tries to persevere like he has done for so long already. Even as each step away from you is like an arrow to his heart; Hunter doesn’t pause, he doesn’t stop. He was giving you what you wanted after all.

I wonder if the writing team was different between season 3, 4 and 5. each season has a different feel and it's really off-putting

#season 3 felt awkward entirely and I really disliked it #4 was like returning to the roots but they were trying to add more depth?#and 5 is such an enigma #like okay there's only two episodes and there'll only be two more #but they have odd vibes #the episodes aren't bad at all. I don't dislike them #but they're not memorable?#things happen in them but it feels like nothing happened at all #it's a whole load of Nothing #it feels so oddly slow and empty and I have no idea how to place that feeling #it's as if all the characters are speaking more slowly too?#the jokes aren't as cringe but none of them really land #the entire episode feels slow yet is over before anything even occurs #like something is MISSING and I can't be the only person to feel that way????#this second episode was better #David got a New Trait™ which I love.... and it will never be explored because the show is overrrr #I wonder who M and J are? a mystery that shall never be solved?#rave ramblees #camp camp #it's like the conflict is miniscule. the solution is brushed over. and nothing wacky happens #I think that's it #it's missing the wild energy and wackiness

I’ve started watching Utena because of you. What. Is going on

HI. WELCOME TO THE CLUB, watch the trigger warnings. but yeah, revolutionary girl utena veers more and more towards surrealism the further you get into the series. it often and voluntarily forfeits narrative/logical consistency in favor of visual storytelling, metaphors and symbolism. i was just talking about it with nic the other day, and if the story weren't so harrowing, i would recommend it to everyone who wants to get into literary analysis, because it is SO packed with symbolism EVERYWHERE that it actually encourages you to try to decode it.

whatever you think utena is about, it is NOT. you can't go in and treat it like your 49293th classical shoujo. utena is a firework show of visual symbolism and it very rarely, if ever, explains itself to the viewer. it refuses to handhold you, but it never berates you for trying and getting it wrong either. there is SO much handholding in modern day media, but utena trusts its viewer to take away something meaningful from itself and to piece its message together on their own. it's one of my favourite pieces of media of all time just for that

#it's almost closer to a poem and to poetry than to a story in the sense that we think think about today #you see why ye standard transformative fandom was never able to take hold with utena?#my suggestion is try to actively analyze what's going on and the symbols presented to you as you go along #find recurring motifs. utena deals a LOT with cycles and repetition (they were playing into their budget limitations and did it brilliantly #what objects keep returning. what characters are they associated with. how do they relate to the irl systems of power the story criticizes #what does the white rose mean #^ had a lot of fun trying to figure that one out. i landed on something other people in the fandom also got but then nic told me his take #and yeah they basically pried my third eye open with a crowbar.#this anime made me want to try out symbolism and allegories in my own works #it's so fucking good #but hey if you finish it and still feel like you didn't get 90% of that you can go to nic metanarrates' blog and check out his rgu tag #basically 50% of the fandom posts are visual and narrative analysis. the other 10% is breathtaking art. the remaining 40% is memes #BUT! wait until you're finished..watch for spoilers #rgu #answered asks

The thing about "two sides of the same coin" is - you can only ever see one side.

Look: the coin is in the air. Flip, flip, flip. One face, then the other. One side up, twinkling in the light; one side down, obscured in shadow.

But at least the coin is still spinning.

I’m still really confused why they didn’t show the Lost Boys in Jake and the Never Land Pirates. I can partially excuse them not showing the Pixie Hollow fairies because of separate branding and stuff but - Not the Lost Boys?? Seriously? There’s a whole-ass episode showing the Darling children and even showing us the hideout, yet no Lost Boys? And it’s not even me being salty about continuity, the show takes some inspiration from the Peter Pan book by including the Neverbird, and they used the “kiss” idea in the finale from one of the older non-Disney Peter Pan stuff. So what was the reason here? Both in and out-of-universe?

I shouldn’t care a lot but regardless of media, having Peter Pan at all without the Lost Boys (even if both are kinda in the backdrop) is like Cinderella without a fairy godmother, or Aladdin without his magic genie in a lamp, it’s just… odd.
