2024 Studio Ghibli Tournament
This tournament will be split between the decades, and will include 2023’s The Boy and the Heron in with the 2010s. It has been a month since its international release as of the start of the tournament, so I felt it was appropriate. And there weren’t a lot of movies in the 2010s.
Winners of the decades will have a ‘Great Wave off of Kanazawa’ emoji and be bolded, the ultimate winner will be bolded, emoji’s, and be red.

2023 Dreamworks Film Tournament!
In between the end of this years tournament and the beginning of next years (very short) tournament, I'm running a Dreamworks poll! I might do this yearly too; we'll see. Films and dates under the cut.
The film has to be on this list as a feature film, and will include direct-to-video and streaming releases. The films will compete in 4 year increments (Dreamworks is younger and has less films, so it would be less fun to just do by the decade).
I will not be including Illumination films, although if you guys are interested in a separate poll for that, Imk! I would try and do that in 2024 though, just because Migration (2023) comes out very late in the year.
Winners of the 4 year groupings will be bolded & have a moon emoji next to them. The ultimate winner will be bolded, green & have a moon emoji.
I will hold a poll in 2024 to determine a winner considering the new movies. This will repeat over the years if I remember to run this poll.

Surprise poll! I won’t check this very often, but I’m trying to decide what tournament to run next. So I am putting out a list of other animation companies next to 1-3 recognizable franchises or movies. The next polls should run sometime during 2024, so keep an eye out :).
REMEMBER: I will only be holding a tournament for movies, not tv shows.
(Also feel free to add in the tags or notes whether I should still keep running the Dreamworks Tournament separate from the Illumination Tournament in the coming years)
*This movie was both made by Dreamworks and Aardman, so if you feel like you voted for this movie before on this blog, you may have!

Contenders and Rules can be found here. Next week will have no poll, just because of IRL conflicts. The next Dreamworks poll will release on 12 December 2023.
(Also feel free to add in the tags or notes whether I should still keep running the Dreamworks Tournament separate from the Illumination Tournament in the coming years)
EDIT: The conflicts have changed, so I will hold the next poll next week!

Hey guys! Just changed my name! It used to be favorite-animated-Disney-tournament, now it’s favoriteanimatedtheatricalfilm. I may change my avatar and blog theme later, but I figured I’d make the changes gradual.
