Dear #Churches, I know it's easier to talk about #breastcancer awareness versus domestic violence awareness. I know it's easier to pray for physical healing versus the spiritual and emotional healing we don't readily see or understand. I know we don't want to talk publicly about those things we only whisper about it. However, healing is available in all areas !!! We must break the stigma around advocating for #domesticviolence ! I believe we're in a season where God is calling us to unbox our faith. Many us know a lot of religion. We know the right words, proper posture, most stirring conferences and the acceptable attire to present forms of godliness, but many are far from God. We know Big Momma's God and the way she did things, but when was the last time YOU stepped out of the familiar with your faith and experienced God in a new way? #Mentorship is an important part of continuous growth. Just because a person is an adult by legal terms does not mean the person is not in need of guidance from the wise. Titus 2 admonishes mature women to teach younger women the ways of Godly womanhood. I remember very vividly women, along with my mother who provided judgement-free wise counsel and many who do to this day. Because of them I am and now pass that wisdom on to other young women I mentor. There has been a breakdown in the natural progression of mentorship in our churches and communities. This week in what I'm calling #Titus2Talk, I will share my observations and possible solutions to help us close what I see as gaps. Mentorship is needed. This morning's AMPD was a fight, 🥊 but so glad I preserved and got to class. It was needed and necessary. This week has been FULL. Full of life, full of emotions, 😪 full of questions ❓ and full of prayer 🙏 in a way I hadn't experienced among other things. My most significant lesson 🏫 this week has been learning to release and relinquish. Release everything that I can't control 🔩and relinquish the need to womanhandle what is not flowing and does not fall within my perfect model of life. Relinquish what others will not allow in a current season 🍂🌻🍃 and be available when necessary . It's a boundary 🚧🚧🚧 that helps me to put down the cape for others, while ensuring to put the cape on myself.
