Deep in the Blackwater pools of my mind is an au of an au wrapped in a fever tucked away in a cupboard with peeling paint, is the fucked up convergence timeline where Reynard stayed with his family, became a doctor (and a serial killer), and Jax/Atlas is his messed up little pet project he keeps locked in the basement (aside from special occasions).

They are both covered in blood and touching their foreheads together as the sirens get closer.

i'm a little sad at how sparse steddyhands and stizzy art and writing is on here now after the finale (thankfully, i am still digging through the couple thousand fics up on ao3 so i'm not totally bereft)

because during the airing of the season there was new stuff in the tags every day, sometimes even every few hours, but i think the finale really punched all of us in the face

there's lots of good stuff from before s2 to go digging through of course, and ao3 and twitter still have some new art and fic and memes if you go looking for it, but the difference from before and now seems a bit stark

don't misunderstand me, this isn't me being defeatist, just being a bit melancholy (and mad at the s2 finale tbh lol) about it. shout out to the regulars i see in the tags still making stuff and posting jokes, ya'll are doing the most and i wish you all the passion and motivation and time to create in the world <3

you just know that his lovesick expression and excited voice trend the next day; there’s a ton of clips, edits and even fanart cursing through the net, as always when you feature on his streams in any way, shape or form; by now even chat reacts to your personalised notification

but nothing compares to the first time you appeared on his live, which was also the time you accidentally walked into the room while he was streaming

even though you weren’t visible to them, chat flipped their shit at kazuha’s sunshine expression when he partly took off his headset and gratefully accepted the snacks and drinks from you

ever since that incident chat made it their mission to find out who this elusive mystery person was; the wildest speculations were flying around and kazuha and you had a blast reading through the conspiracies; but you also had an extensive talk about you showing yourself to his fans

eventually you agreed to make an appearance and to say his mods had the most stressful day of their lives when he pulled you into his lap in front of thousands of people was an understatement; the chat was going absolutely crazy, flooded with questions and thirsts; people didn’t know who to be jealous of, honestly

fortunately, kazuha’s community was very accepting (the community takes after the streamer in this case) and relished in the way their favourite streamer’s face lit up every time you were close; that is how countless kazuha x y/n stan accounts came into be they go feral over every bit of affection shown

although, kazuha thinks he has to seriously sit down with chat again when they get more excited about you coming on stream and start rooting for you when you play against each other, hehe~

I need you to know I am kissing you on the mouth rn (platonically) -- I've been rotating this plot in the microwave since like. mid-august.

It's transcendence au (obvi) but here's the basic hook:

The year is 7098. The last Mizar (Fang Wu -- and shoutout to aba_daba_do for making a kickass OC) has been dead for four years now, and Alcor has been MIA for about the same amount of time. In their absence, the North American continent has broken out into a full-on, cross-continental war, with the main players being the Greater Austinian Monopoly (formerly known as Texas) and the Alaskadian Collective (Alaska, plus some parts of Canada and north-eastern Russia).

In a last-ditch effort to find some long-forgotten piece of magical information that could win the war, Alaskadian scientist Fatima Tursynbekova (an r!Ford) is sent to the abandoned site of what used to be Gravity Falls, accompanied by her troubled teenage daughter Olya (an r!Gideon). They're expecting to find little more than scant remnants of a town that was razed to the ground over thirty years before -- not much better than an archaeological expedition if anything.

However, what they find instead is a thriving small town -- the inhabitants of which are all completely and utterly convinced that it's the year 2016 (feat. the OG Mystery Twins and an extremely sus Stan Pines).

Anyways blah blah blah romance, secrecy, interpersonal drama but COME LOOK AT THE MAP I MADE I spent entirely too much time on it and I've been dying to share:

I really need to be cleaning my room but. fanfiction I'd write if I had time but I Do Not

There are several ghiralink fic storylines that are along the lines of "Link gets exactly what he thinks he wants and turns out it isn't really what he needs" (whether real or a dream-state) that have him taking Ghirahim's sword and gaining complete control over him and the themes are of personhood and power and complacency. be careful what you wish for type things. A few that are Ghirahim killing Link/Link losing and realizing he would rather have him alive and fighting instead of dead/given up because it was more fun than way, but usually end up being sad. oh well I guess for the former and teaming up with Link to defeat Demise for the latter.

What I want to write is the themes of scenario 1 but role reversed so it's like scenario 2 with Ghirahim having the "this isn't what I wanted" moment. Ghiralink adds, usually as a joke, a level of "if I can't kill you, maybe you could join me ;)" and I want to write more or less Link doing that, Link being a perfect subservient extension that does everything he wants him to and he doesn't regret it (he can't), but Ghirahim having the realization that he doesn't want someone who is nothing more than an object for him to use. A doll. A sword.

And then, how Link has guilt over Fi and the Master Sword and his role as hero and how Hylia controls him but he's no better than her, Ghirahim realizing Link is now what he is to Demise and rethinking his own position. Is this what Demise thinks of me. Is that why he treats me the way he does. And he takes his anger out on Link but Link can't fight back anymore. Link doesn't want to fight back anymore, and not in a depressed it's hopeless kind of way, but in the same way Ghirahim accepted Demise pulling the sword out of his chest.

When Ghirahim is empty and goes isn't this what you wanted, Link can genuinely say no because he has a hero's heart and conscience and never meant for anyone to get hurt. When Link goes I am what you made me, Ghirahim has to face that fact that yes, he is, and he is made in my image, and I do not want this anymore.

I don't want it to be a sex thing. like yeah that could be part of it but I don't think it would work as well #how I wanted the sword spirit au to go but did not manage to make it work this way 😔#I want Demise to win and Link to live and Ghirahim to know he does but not see him for a few weeks/months. to not even think about him #or feel any guilt that he's probably rotting away in a dungeon or getting tortured or whatever. no even excited about that just apathetic #and entirely focused on Demise (who is in turn pretty apathetic about him but he doesn't even realize) until one day he sees Link and he's #*not* a prisoner. he's just another solider in a demon army or a regular servant or maybe even a bodyguard to Demise. and he speaks with him #and there's no trace of animosity or anger or sadness or anything. there is no war in ba sing se etc.#and then I don't have anymore than that it's just kind of wouldn't that be fucked up huh #for Ghirahim to have absolutely no underlying thoughts of demise actually sucks or foreshadowing he's not the perfect blade he presents as #and all of that to snap when he sees an enemy completely changed. he wanted Link dead. even when he says you could join me #he would expect push back and fights and relapsing into wanting to be the hero. he never considered what if he wasn't an enemy at all
