That's what Ree would have done, but for me idk? I can't say how I would have acted in that place and that's ok. We all have different things. As for Kim making a mistake...I wouldn't call it that. But I think if she hadn't had such an emotional day she may have made a different choice. And that's ok.

2. Do you read/reread your own fics?

I do! I notice a lot of typos and mistakes, and things I would change if I were to write those fics now, but I love rereading my own fics. The hit of serotonin I get when I read a fic that ticks all of my boxes (because I wrote it and made sure it would check all of my boxes), it's entirely unmatched. It also makes me miss those universes, which is how I ended up writing my Valentine's Day fic this year in a specific universe I only touch once a year.

24. Share a moodboard for (one of) your current WIP(s).

I'm sitting here like "oh my god what am I currently working on???" because Valentine's Day doesn't have a moodboard yet, Vegetarian!Mouse doesn't have a moodboard, and I posted the moodboards for my other wips as their own posts? so I'm gonna go through my folder on my laptop and see what I can dig up?

okay so! I forgot I was doing a play on florist/tattoo artist with Cozy Trio! this is my moodboard for tattoo artist!Hailey that I will post one day eventually. on the point of including black people in the show (or any period show), a lot of the outrage can sometimes come across as performative to me. it's one thing to feel upset about how little screentime black characters get compared to white characters (a valid criticism, believe me, I Know! give me an hour and i could talk your ear off about how this constantly annoys me as a black person who's damned to enjoy period pieces), but it's another to Only get upset while not actually creating content for said black characters, Especially when fandom (not just hbo war, but in general) is famous for taking Extremely minor characters and creating entire worlds with them, to the point where you wouldn't know they're minor characters at all until you check out the source yourself. richard macon, alexander jefferson, and robert daniels each have only 20 or less posts about them (at the time of publishing this post). in my own fandom experience (within fandoms both big and small and old and new, whatever), i've seen more content (posts, art pieces, analyses, fics, etc) made for minor white characters in less than a mere week's time (it's not a competiton lol i'm just giving a perspective here). so idk. obviously, there's nothing anyone here can do about a show that's already been filmed and released. we got what we got. thas it. at least in the great wide world of fandom, you can actually do something about it, turning the big into small. there's precedent for that. otherwise it just feels like complaining for the sake of complaining

ahh i finished i love this book (i love this book!!!) it’s so good. in other lands is about growing up and learning how to love. loving and being hurt and living with the pain; loving and being hurt and living with the pain; loving and being hurt and and opening yourself up to even more pain because that’s the only way to get what you want which is love.

it’s about being a sad, scared, lonely little kid whom no one wants, reading stories about magical lands full of magical beings and golden heroes, and then going to those magical land and still being that lonely little kid, off to the sidelines, watching someone else be the hero. hating that person for being everything you aren’t, and then not hating them at all.

it’s about realizing that the sad, scared, lonely little kid is just as much a story you’ve been telling yourself as is the story about the beautiful perfect magical land, and the beautiful perfect hero, and that like all stories it’s only partly true, and that this story in particular is doing more harm than good. and letting it go, like you’ve had to let go all the people who did not love you the way you wanted them to, the way they should have; being brave enough to say, “i don’t know what happens next.” knowing that no matter where you end up, you’ll be okay, as long as you’re with the people who care about you.

it’s about flipping a coin and hoping for tails, and getting to see mermaids, after all.

Whatever the case, drawn by red and gold, his eyes drift to her in the semi-circle of flashing kamera lights, then quickly snap away when he realizes who it is. But it’s too late, she’s seen him, and so he circles around to wait for her beneath an arrangement of paper parasols.

”You certainly know how to draw a crowd,” he comments in lieu of a greeting when she finally breaks away. The smile he wears is as polite and unflappable as ever. “I’d almost believe you set up the photoshoot yourself.”

If she had thought it a miracle to have witnessed Meropide's esteemed duke above the shore back home in Fontaine, then Navia stands sorely corrected.

She's almost certain that she imagines him among the sea of cheering faces and flashing lights. That, as she turns on her heel to throw a smile over her shoulder, he will have disappeared as though he were never truly there.

Which he does, at least somewhat, only to reappear once more just a bit further back from the crowd. Navia does her best not to let her surprise cloud her expression. Is he... waiting waiting for her?

Suddenly the golden warmth of a crowd's attention is no longer the most interesting thing on her plate.

So she turns back to her audience and sketches a small curtsey. With what feels like a hundred thank you's and perhaps double that in waves of her hand, Navia manages her escape.

And, much to her seemingly ever-growing surprise, Wriothesley remains. In the festival light he looks a little less pale, though it does precious little to make him appear any less out of place. What a wonder it would be to view him as a stranger, unaware of his residence and station. Would he blend in then, were she unknowing?

Navia decides it unlikely.

"I'm sure it's easy to forget considering my line of work, but I grew up a girl in Fontaine just like any other, you know. I knew the stage before my own name." Her defensiveness is playful, all her guard and suspicion of him left at home with their relationship as business partners. Most of it, at least.

"Of course, I've little time to entertain such things nowadays." Behind her, kamera flashes have begun again. Navia smiles to think of another in that spotlight--she had never been meant to remain in it. "Though it seems I haven't lost my touch if I could catch your eye."

I discussed this AU with @jackie-sugarskull but never got around to actually drawing it out or make doodles for it.

Basically the idea is that Captain Underpants IS real and that Krupp is his secret identity (and is actually smarter/nicer than in canon) since he crash landed on the Krupp farm. George and Harold are noe young fans of CU who had the luck of discovering their principal’s secret.

(Also there was a lot of ideas thrown out or exchanged so if you use the cu secret superhero au tag you’ll see how a lot of the stories and episodes changed in this AU)

It pisses me off that people are mad at Matt because he went to see the young girl for Sylvie and saying Matt didn't do enough for Gabby. Even making it personal saying they're glad Monica stayed away.

One, Monica left the show. It was her decision. I'm sorry if you're mad that your ship didn't end up how you wanted but you have to understand it was because of the decision of the actor, this storyline happened because she left.

Secondly, Matt is at a different point in his life. He probably wasn't ready then but he's ready now. He was also there for Gabby in every way he could and loved her so much that he didn't want to see her die. She was the one who didn't want an adoption.

With Sylvie, she welcomes the help that anyone wants to provide.

I don't see how that fandom can differentiate that Matt loved/loves these two women differently and that he is going to support them anyway he can.

I really need to stay away from the bird app or else my blood pressure is going to go through the roof with some of these takes I'm reading.

LITERALLY it is so fucking maddening to see!

It already just drives me mad when people don't ever seem to respect the fact that these actors leave, because they wanted to, so it's to be expected that the end of that storyline will be a little shit. Like you can forever be sad d*wsey isn't canonically together anymore and that Matt moved on, because if d*wsey is The Ship for you that is sad but at the end of the day, the actress wanted out and the show continued.

I also hate the argument that he didn't do enough for Gabby... Because he did. He did so so much. She was the problem, she didn't want the help he gave her. That's fine, in some ways I get that attitude and it's fine to see it that way, but lord you cannot say he didn't try.

And it's not like Brettsey was rushed. It's been built up. It's been shown again and again that they love each other, how that is shown. And they've grown together. Also Matt has seen the whole development of this arc really, from helping Sylvie with Julia and then Amelia and all that and to now the decision to adopt baby Julia, he's the most qualified to speak on the matter honestly because he's seen all that.

I would generally recommend staying away from twitter atm at least. I am currently too lol. My blood pressure definitely couldn't handle it.

I'm just so fucking done with all the people who one) keep dragging Monica into this, like damn the woman left l can guarantee you the only thoughts she has is pride for her former co workers and two) people just needlessly hating on brettsey.

Idk if it's because I'm also having to deal with the same sort of idiocy when it comes to u*stead stans on twitter (which already is laughable to me bc the stans tend to be the same people as the d*wsey stans) so I'm already pretty damn tired of people not getting things and mixing up not personally liking a storyline direction Vs bad writing.

It's also tiring to see the hypocrisy (like adoption is Valid when d*wsey does it but not Sylvie or that Sigan is a brilliant writer/show runner until upstead has to be broken down because the actor left of his own choice 🙄) and like. Just ship and let ship. And if the show choices upset you... You don't need to watch. That's fine. But attacking other ships is just not on.

Ugh I'll stop now before this turns into a full on rant. I could bitch for days about d*wsey stans but especially as you only sent the ask about brettsey I should stop because I'll just also rant about u*stead and idk how you feel about them lol.
