#I'll get to it later but the short version is that the relationships between the lambs are incredible #their dynamics are so fun and also heartwrenching #it does a lot interesting things thematically too #sy (the protagonist) is an absolute bastard horrible horrible boy I love him #being in his head though makes you love him and understand him he sucks but he'd trying his best #and some of the other lambs are delightfully inhuman in a way that's an absolute joy to read #lots of body horror up to you to decide whether that's a positive or negative #my rambles #twig

Hi there! I just finished reading all translated Mo Dao Zu Shi chapters these two days and I LOVE IT SO MUCH

I’m going to be lazy and link you to my friend’s recpost of BL novels, just about all of the ones on that list are xianxia (xianxia is basically cultivation world genre). The only other one I would add that isn’t on that list is Liu Yao: The Revitalization of the Fuyao Sect which is an excellent straight-up xianxia that does not start off as a transmigration from the modern era as a lot of these do. I’ve heard that Liu Yao is light on the BL until the end, but either way it is a very good story.

Most of them are more slow-burn than MDZS though, might as well warn you now.

If you’re looking for comedy like Scum Villain, The Villain’s White Lotus Halo (same translator as Heaven Official’s Blessing) is hilarious with good writing.
