Did you know there is an Oscar Wilde walk in Reading? It's right in front of Reading Gaol (where Wilde was incarcerated for two years) and the Abbey Ruins and close to Forbury Park. The Forbury park fountain was frozen that day 😊. #kennetavoncanal #RDG #rdguk #readinguk #berkshire #berkshiregardens #oscarwilde #oscarwildewalk #readinggaol #forburygardens #abbeyruinsreading #metaltraveller #femalefronted #metalband #metalfoodie #metaltravel #metaltraveller #femalefrontedmetal #femalefrontedband #SeasonOfGhosts #SophiaAslanides (at Abbey Ruins Reading) https://www.instagram.com/p/Co0y6MEoBkq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Tony Stark x Reader
Words: 785
Summary: Separating home and work can get complicated when you're a couple of brilliant- and slightly obsessive- engineers.
Notes: I wanted to write some domestic Tony and it’s been forever since I’ve written for him, so I hope you guys enjoy this short, fun piece.
Find more Tony: HERE
-
You couldn’t honestly say you’d checked the clock in the past few hours, but the sun was definitely still up when you’d started your blueprints. You rubbed your eyes, the lines of sketches and plans seemingly burned into the inside of your eyelids. Hearing something being slid across the table, you opened your eyes, finding your husband sitting across from you, having stolen a sheet of plans. He was holding out a cup of coffee to you slowly drinking from his own as his eyes looked over your paper.
“How long have you been at these?” He asked, turning the design to the side and squinting at it. You shrugged.
“I don’t know. Couple of hours, I guess.” You stretched your back, not realizing how long you’d been standing over the table. Tony put his mug down.
“Come on. Take a break.” He reached his hand to you, but you hesitated. You had so much you could still get done. Tony jerked his head towards the door and you realized that if you stayed up much longer, your work would probably be undescernable by morning. With a tired sigh, you took his hand and left the rest of the plans for later.
Your body hit the couch so hard you were surprised you were able to make it up the stairs in the first place. Tony chuckled and wrapped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer so he could kiss your forehead.
“Burning the candle at both ends, are we?”
“You have no room to talk.” You snarked back, running a hand through his dark hair. “You’ve slept more at your desk this past week than you have in our bed.”
He just shrugged. “Fair enough.”
“Do you want to go to bed now?”
He checked his watch. “I mean, I’ve got some stuff I need to-” You raised a brow and he finally understood what you meant. “Oh. Then yes. Definitely yes.”
“But if you have stuff to do…” You shrugged teasingly. You started to skirt away from the couch, but he snatched your hand and pulled you back to him, capturing your lips in a kiss.
-
Without having gotten much sleep the previous night- for a very good reason, of course- you decided to at least try and go to bed early. Fortunately, you’d made some progress on your recent projects during the day so after a few drinks with your husband, you headed upstairs.
It must have only been three or four hours later when you jolted awake. The nightmare faded quickly enough that you forgot what it was about, but that lingering feeling in your chest was still there.
Right. That’s why you worked so much.
For a brief second, you felt that surge of panic again. Tony was gone. Something from your dream sprang to mind, but it was gone as quickly as it came.
“Jarvis?”
“Yes Mrs. Stark?”
“Where’s Tony?”
“I believe he is in the garage.”
You draped a bed sheet over your shoulders to keep warm and headed down the stairs, hearing the muffled sound of classic rock growing louder as you descended.
You entered Tony’s work space with a pair of slightly stale muffins and the need to put your mind to work. He, of course, was sitting in front of a prototype for a new suit modification and tinkering away as you expected.
“I thought you were getting an early night tonight.” He said without looking up. You shrugged in an attempt to seem nonchalant but he saw right through your silence. He looked over at you with a brow raised and a sympathetic look in his eye. “Nightmare?”
You just nodded and he set his tools aside. He pulled you into his lap and the two of you stayed in the peaceful quiet for a few moments.
“Maybe we should both head up.” You suggested. The exhaustion was slowly seeping into you both, even though he was trying to hide it. He glanced over the work left on his desk and you ran your fingers through his hair. “I sleep better when you’re there anyway.”
“Well if you’re going to play the guilt card…” He sighed dramatically and you rolled your eyes at his teasing, your eyes scanning over his multitudes of genius laid out in front of you.
“Maybe we should just get normal jobs. You know, ones that let us work at reasonable hours.” You said, sleepily cuddling up closer to him. Tony kissed the top of your head.
“Yeah, but then we’d have to be boring normal people and I just don’t think either of us is cut out for that.”
You both laughed lightly and headed up to bed.

The Ballad of Reading Gaol'.
Entonces...

The Norway Maple
There were regulars that sat on the wall and under the tree. One summer’s day rain fell, straight down, leaving a dry circular area beneath its canopy. People paused in the dry.
The Norway Maple could be seen from my studio overlooking this old part of Reading. It was a perfect spot to watch the tree and the life in and around it.
I took polaroids photos that became a short animation of the life to the tree. Other gestures included a Soft Boundary, a 7m long cushion placed on the wall to sit on, pasting a large print of the tree in flower on a shop hoarding and dowsing and marking the edges of the tree energy that stretched into the studio.
