The protests that happened at the macy's day parade are so important specifically because they tried to stop people from finding out about them. I watched the whole parade and didn't see a single sign or protestor, because try as they may to claim the show is live, they've been doing this for decades, they have full control over what footage the camera's capture and when ads conveniently cut away from what's happening. I found out from the few people still talking about the protests that there were any happening at the parade today.
They know we're all getting so tired and sad of hearing about what's happening. They want to make it as difficult as possible for us to interact with it, in hopes that we give up. They want you to say "It's Thanksgiving, we deserve a break from hearing about this."
I know that it hurts and it's stressful to try to help, but we have to keep going if we want anything to change. The writer and actor strikes were successful because they didn't give in.
It doesn't have to be much, you don't have to spend your days doomscrolling footage and fighting zionists. Just email your representatives each day, boycott businesses that support Israel, and hang on tight. As long as there is hope, there is a way through. The Palestinian people will be free.

time travel au, gongyi xiao centric, yijiu (to heal the soul)
instead of dying in canon, gyx somehow gets transported back in time. lets say the dungeon is a key plot location, and the system accidentally clicks something, and so gyx ends up in the peaklords' discipleship era, and its too late to turn back now (the system is severely punished, rip)
opm goes down to deal with the stranger somehow in the dungeons, graciously answering the questions a typically confused individual would have after waking in a place they werent in before. ("what date is it?" "its xx, xx, xxxx", "where is this?" "you are in huanhua palace, young man. pray tell, how did you end up in here?")
he explains to opm that hes from the future, but when asked about what will happen, gyx refuses to say
he says the usual space-time continium cannot be disturbed further thing, and how he doesnt want anyone to be harmed by being in the know
gyx Still needs to prove he Isnt lying tho, so he reveals that he knows opm's wife is pregnant with a daughter
this knowledge was only known by the opm, his wife, and the 2 healers who attended to her, proving gyx's claims to be from the future
gyx's knowledge and experience with time travel, something only rumored to be possible by the most powerful of gods and one horrifying sword, is important if opm wants to harness it for the future. thus, opm resolves to not lose him. (and surely loyalty will keep this strange young man by his side)
gyx is set free and accepted as a huanhua disciple once more. opm makes the papers to keep people from questioning gyx's lack of existence prior to his apperance
when gyx figures out that the next immortal alliance conference might be the one sqq participated in as a disciple under wyz, gyx requests he joins
"is there any specific reason why, disciple gongyi?" asks the opm
"it is a personal matter, master"
he joins, and finds sqq–now sj–right on time. gyx slays wyz before he can harm yqy.
gyx graciously leaves yqy and sj to talk, instead moving to deal with the body and calling for their masters
the talk doesnt seem to go well, because yqy's eyes are red and teary, while sj's are furious and stormy (yet wet all the same)
just before they part ways, sj and gyx meet eyes, and sj sends him a nod of acknowledgment. gyx knows they will meet once more, but for now they will have to deal with the mess the iac has turned to
bc a disciple of huanhua was the one to defeat wyz, huanhua gets more attention and praise, and in the process so does gyx. this only delays gyx from meeting with sj, until 2 weeks have passed
he has no reason strong enough to go to cang qiong in person, plus hhp and cqms have always been rivals despite being allied
instead he writes a letter to sj and (after some thought) yqy, asking after their well-being. yqy's letter comes a few days after, explaining that he is well; it is polite and doesnt divulge too much, as expected. sadly, sj doesnt write back.
still, gyx keeps sending sj letters, making idle talk of the latest trends and the current weather. sometimes he rambles about the beasts hes fortunate enough to encounter, and on the rare occasion mild jokes that poke fun at a rich client.
(gyx may be a rich boy but hes a nice, self aware one who recognizes the flaws in the people with high status. swell guy 100/10)
after some time, sj replies with what could be summed up as "whats wrong with you, what are you doing, why are you doing this, are you insane (/gen)?"
it can be presumed that sj got sick of the letters that have been piling up in the corner of his drawer
gyx replies, "im curious about you :DD *insert polite yet genuine praise directed at sj*"
he cant exactly say hes infatuated with sj. to sj, they only saw each other for a brief moment, and intrigue sounds less insane than love. gyx also wouldnt be lying, so ! all is well !!
sj is oddly amused (totally not endeared) to the dork that just cant seem to get the message that he doesnt want to get acquainted with him
he cant help but pity him, so for the first time sends back a response. surprisingly, sj keeps writing back
its a little sad to say the letters are one of the few things sj looks forward to every month
(hoookay this is getting long)
in short, sj and gyx meet up for the first time when cq and hh need to assist each other for a mission
gyx wasnt supposed to go with at first, but. well. being one of opm's favorites has its perks and gyx is at least smart enough to use it (this is sj's influence)
sj's still a hated figure if sj's martial siblings' mutterings were to represent the cq disciples as a whole, and it saddens gyx a lot. it doesnt deter him, however
sj is different from sqq. sj is meaner, stricter, and more refined even as a disciple. he thinks sj mellowed out as he grew, since the sqq he met in the future was kinder, a little more lax, and not as caring of his appearance. still, sj is as wonderful as he remembers, even if different
they arent at the courting stage yet, but in the near future they will be :))

Time for a Crackpot Theory (Webcomic Spoilers)
One-Punch Man Webcomic readers might remember this guy. The Neo Leader and Great Prophet Infelsinave, founder of the Church of Otherworldly Reincarnation. He had nearly a million loyal followers, and he joined the Neo Heroes to fight for justice or something.
I don't think he ever said a single fuggin' word, so I guess if one wanted to list his positive traits, you could call him stoic and humble.
His fighting abilities were probably negligeable, other than the well-built suit of armor underneath his regal robes, but he was elected a Neo Leader due to his admittedly vast influence.
He had divine powers, whatever that means.
Tumblr media
To be quite honest, I use the phrase "might remember" because he's pretty forgettable.
He was murdered recently.
Tumblr media
As you can see, he had a tough go of it during his first battle and wound up dead in the road.
I'm here to give the prophet his due and investigate his murder a little. Let's put on our detective hats and examine the evidence.
Tumblr media
He got a hole punched in his Neo Hero armor by a monster.
The monster killed him, then bounced. It's quite possible that's all it was; a monster saw Infelsinave, brutally ran him through, then walked away.
But notice that his homies were there to witness the murder. A horde of allies who were as weak as Infelsinave survived the attack without so much as being looked at by the murderer.
Are monsters usually that selective? No! Monsters are typically connoisseurs of surplus killing, like weasels targeting hordes of hapless mice.
So, why didn't the monster go on to maul the rest of the Neo Heroes present? Why were the other humans on-scene not worth its aggression?
So, that's my first piece of evidence; the monster seemed to have a grudge against Lord Infelsinave specifically.
But we don't know a single person with enmity towards Lord Infelsinave, do we? He had a lot of followers, which means he probably had plenty of detractors. Maybe there was a monster who hated cult leaders? In that case, we'd have no idea who killed him.
But what if, and bear with me on this, the monster didn't have a beef with Infelsinave in particular?
What if the monster was looking for a different person, and mistook Infelsinave for someone we know a little better?
Tumblr media
I have a long-shot theory; whatever attacked Infelsinave was actually hunting our friendly neighborhood Saitama.
Both are bald, both wear flowing garments (Saitama's cape, and Infelsinave's dorky cloak), and though their similarities are only passing, Saitama has a bland enough look that Infelsinave's attacker might have made the honest mistake of killing the Neo Leader like a dog without taking a closer gander for Saitama's trademark perfunctory visage.
Now, who has the power to smash through Neo Hero armor like butter, a grudge against Saitama, and the speed to assault Infelsinave and leave before his Neo Hero squad could react?
Well...any Demon-level monster, really. Awakened Cockroach, Bug God, Royal Ripper, or even the Lion Eating Zebra could probably speedblitz Infelsinave and leave, unfraught by any Neo Goon resistance.
But I have a theory.
It was THIS GUY. The Ninja Village Leader!
Tumblr media
He has the skills,
Tumblr media
he has the motive,
Tumblr media
and he's so unfamiliar with Saitama that mistaking Infelsinave for him would be believable.
Call me a gormless gumshoe. Mistake my detective hat for tin-foil. But I'd bet a fat Hamilton ($10) that the Ninja Village Leader is the culprit who eliminated Infelsinave, and he did it under the mistaken belief that he was taking down Saitama, the man who beat him up and stole all his cool ninja stuff.
Mystery solved!
"But BadJohn, Infelsinave is alive!"
Tumblr media
No he's not. That's baloney. That guy is a fucking robot husk designed to fool his followers and steal all his money.
I'm not crazy, YOU'RE crazy

If Amai Mask is supposed to be someone ridden with paranoia to the point of irrationality, which causes the mask he spent years crafting to slip, I’d like to see it.  Have him obsessively keep tabs on everyone. Have him desperately dig into everyone’s personal history. Have him go through security footage until the blood vessels in his eyes burst. Have him use his shapeshifting abilities in order to trail people. Have him create contingency plans in case there’s a direct attack on the HA base. Have him plan ways to take out every member of the HA in case they go feral.  If Amai Mask is supposed to be extreme, make him extreme goddamnit-

I just…. Had a lot of hopes for Sai after this MA arc was over…
He had just barely been there in the manga throughout the MA arc. It had him so sidetracked for the other heroes that needed their own time to shine. Sai is heroic too… there’s so many side chapters, the DSK aftermath and audios, that established that his heart was still in the right place, (still is but now it’s not enough? so how long before this issue was to be brought up?) and though, with time, getting too strong made him react even more slowly to people’s problems than he would have before I think and recently, this exact thing has been questioned quite a bit and his aloofness has also been stressed on a lot more throughout this arc. That’s one thing the arc was consistently bringing up.
Then they finally register that point and you hold your breathe, thinking things will be changing, albeit painfully, and then they take it away too. The characters are just back to the usual. I’m the one left feeling dumb and numb after everything. Him not forgetting everything was the one last thing I really hoped for. And I don’t know if this is the right word to express it but this is indirectly downgrading his most charismatic aspect: his personality. And I’m still astonished that they are actually doing this. Brutal much, ONE? We’re really going below the respectful bar. And I’m really scared about this new way they’re seemingly viewing him and his role and so how they’re gonna portray him in the upcoming events.
And now…. Sai neither gets to keep his character development even after the plot shoved it in our faces again and again about him being listless through all this mess, but we ALSO don’t get those parts where anyone witnesses him fight. We don’t know if mini BS and Rover will even be there. Instead Blast gets the credit. Like… I don’t know anymore! What am I supposed to do? I even have doubts if I can keep looking forward to what little I’ve waited for so long even in the upcoming arcs! And I have a fear that they yet haven’t had enough of making Sai act like a clown as they did him so much for a war that lasted one day? So there’s high chance they’re gonna keep making him act like that on top of shoving the “recently growing just-rolling-with-what-happened aspect” of his. Comedy is fine but having these two things go on hand in hand WHILE actually wiping away all the self realisation makes me wonder if they’re using Sai for jokes as well as serious moments where his ways can be trusted that carry actual value or they want to turn him (even his character) into JUST A JOKE the more we go on. Such a massive downplay. How did his tendencies change like that in a day, ONE? What about the Saitama I knew for all the weeks in the world before this?? Why mock Sai like that, ONE, why?? I feel so fuckin cold inside after seeing this chapter.
I truly TRULY feel restless about what they plan to do with him. These aren’t good signs. Istg ONE. I’m literally gritting my teeth in fury.
They better register this in the upcoming arcs even tho they tried to sweep it all under a rug this time.
There really was some beautiful things that happened in this chapter as well (though Genos is kinda worrying me) but I can’t stop worrying about these things in the long run….

I really like “Truth Serum” trope in fanficion, particularly in Svsss fanfic because I think it’s can be a number of things- funny, angst, sweet.
HOWEVER, I feel like there isn’t enough where SY gets Truth Serum-ed, and his romantic partner, martial siblings and/or disciples get to see his absolutely unhinged thoughts.
Like, sure, you get a system reveal out of this, but I also think this is funnier if the bit where SY isn’t SJ isn’t revealed makes this so much funnier.
It’s the trial and SY is made to tell the truth, except it’s his whole thought process tumbling out and he just can’t help ‘Peerless Cucumber’ ranting and tearing apart OPM in front of everyone like the internet troll he still is deep down. Yue Qingyuan is just letting this happen.
It’s post canon and Luo Binghe is subjected to his husband’s feral thought process about him, and how great he is, and how he is definitely not gay for marrying him because come on. Look at Binghe.
It’s during the years after the conference and Liu Qingge is having to hold a ranting SY back from making the demons who got them in this mess cry, because SY isn’t going just a little too hard in his rant. Also he keeps saying how pretty LQQ is but how everyone must think that jeez, which is not helping the situation.
It’s at any point and Mu Qingfang is pretending to have a normal conversation with SY, under the cover of getting this truth serum nonsense fixed. Except SY just keeps saying the wildest shit about his health and what he does to manage it and Mu Qingfang just wants him to keep going at this point to learn the medical things that SY would never admit on a normal day.
I know this might sound like a normal fanfic with this trope, but I just feel like I have never seen one where the people who care about SY are forced to witness him being a bastard internet troll that we all know he is.
Anyway if anyone had some fanfic recs, I would love some lol
EDIT: I made a post with the fics that have been rec’ed that can be found here!

Thinking about Garou
Question: "Compared to the first season, which draws attention to Saitama's exhilarating punches, the second season focuses on story development. Did you have any specific goals while drawing the story?" Murata: "There was one thing that I requested from ONE Sensei before drawing my re-illustrated manga. At first, there were plans to cut out Garou's childhood with the bully in my version, but that scene really left an impression on me. I thought it was a vital part of understanding Garou's position, so I discussed it with ONE Sensei and requested that I be able to leave it in for y version. And it was paced so well in the anime! I believe it ended up being a very high-quality scene." -- From the liner notes of One-Punch Man Season 2.
I'm including this because I feel it's fundamental to really talk about Garou with any depth. Garou without context does not make sense. He is a kind, sensitive, and thoughtful young man who wants to do good in the world. Yet, he caused a horrifying amount of harm, both directly and indirectly, and ultimately undermined his own goals.
I'm glad that ONE listened to Murata about keeping Garou's childhood flashback. Without it, he'd just have been a thug attacking heroes for no reason to us (pretty much as the heroes saw him). Not only that, but ONE has gone a lot further in the manga in showing us the context in which Garou grew up that's been very helpful for understanding who Garou is, what he saw, and making some sense of his powerful yet contradictory desires.
Ultimately Garou is Garou. He's his own person and the buck for his actions firmly stops with him. No matter what, I can't imagine him not being an independent thinker with the determination to put his thoughts into action.
But...
...the tragedy of his thinking becomes clear when we see his thinking of monsters as metaphors for what is misunderstood or unacceptable in ourselves (a popular enough one IRL where monsters aren't real) and compare it with the reality of his world in which monsters have won, successfully restricting humans to one continent, and people like heroes because they are reminders that sometimes, even apparently overwhelming evil can be defeated. Nothing good happens when you deny the reality around you.
You know Garou's rant about uniting the world with fear? It's a standalone rant in the webcomic. The manga gives us a snapshot of the context in which he came to this conclusion. As this is a place that is no stranger to natural disasters -- forget the monsters -- Garou has no doubt experienced at least one big storm, or flood, or earthquake, or volcanic eruption in his life. In those days and weeks that follow, he's no longer an outcast. Nobody cares about where you come from or who you are: people help each other. At least until normalcy is restored. That's something he's directly experienced.
Tumblr media
That's just human nature: even in individualistic societies, for every report of looting in the wake of a natural disaster, there are hundreds of people trying to help. And this is a much more collectivist society that has to deal with disasters semi-regularly. That's the sense of looking out for each other in the face of a tragedy bigger than any person he wanted to recreate—only permanently.
Tumblr media
Then we get bits of Garou through the people around him. We got nothing about his parents in the webcomic but in the manga, his parents refuse to see him or get him out of custody. They've given up on him. To make it worse, the audience ONE is writing for understands that Garou is a minor until he's 20 (the law recently changed in Japan but it wasn't even up for debate when ONE started writing OPM). So they've done the equivalent of washing their hands of a 16-year-old. That's got to have hit Garou very, very hard, even if he was estranged from them. He'd have liked it if his father cared enough to tell him what to do.
Tumblr media
We see how Bang has literally taken on the role of in loco parentis. It's been interesting to see that the reason Bang has chased after Garou so relentlessly is because he sees himself in the young man. However, we also see that he deeply misunderstands Garou too. Bang beat up people because he was an extremely selfish young man who felt he was entitled to everything.
Tumblr media
Garou beat up people because he is an extremely thoughtful young man who sees himself as bringing a great good into the world at the expense of some heroes.
Tumblr media
It's definitely going to cause trouble but that's okay -- nothing in life is smooth and such differences are inevitable. With love, such struggles are worthwhile.
Garou's an object lesson in why the energy to do things in the world rarely comes with the power to make those changes. His overly simple solutions were disastrous. But one thing we can also say about Garou: he's a fast learner. He's literally rebuilding his life little by little in the webcomic by rebuilding the world around him. In the manga, he's been given the opportunity to sift through his thinking and find what's genuinely good. We'll see how it all shakes out.

Ok but dish me the real cursed tea in the SY!OPM-verse: Is it OG!Shang Qinghua or Airplane in this AU? If it’s the latter, does the wifebeam work on him? Does he go into a crisis about it? Does he find out about SY?
On an unrelated note, what is Qi Qingqi’s reaction to the whole *gestures to lovesick male Peak Lords*. Does she get along with SJ better now that he’s apparently chasing after a GILF? Is she suspicious of a plot by Huan Hua to take over Cang Qiong? Does she become besties with Su Xiyan in the course of the investigation once SY!OPM manages to win her over (platonically) through Peerless Cucumber-esque rants on trash novels?
Please and thank you!
Airplane transmigrated into Wu Yanzi. OG!Shang Qinghua is still Shang Qinghua, An Ding peak lord. Luckily wifebeams don't work on transmigrators, so Airplane is spared from its effects. Unfortunately, the body he transmigrated into is not spared from the effects of the wifebeam, so Wu Yanzi's ahem keeps rising to attention whenever Airplane is in the Old Palace Master's presence... thankfully pretty much never.
Airplane has a crisis about how he rationally doesn't think old grandpa is not sexy but his boner says otherwise. He sits down and really rethink his kinks...
As for Qi Qingqi, she is a Lesbian who is very happy in this world~ More girls for her~ She doesn't have to worry about her fellow peak lords having unsavory thoughts about her or her students~ It's wonderful~
(She's not suspicious about a plot at all since Everyone Knows That It's Practically Tradition that All Cang Qiong Peak Lords End Up With a Crush on the 2000+ Year Old Huan Ha Sect Leader. No one listens to rogue cultivators who attempt to claim otherwise.)
Qi Qingqi does try to sneak a glance into Su Xiyan's rumored journal that chronical the current generation of Cang Qiong peak lords' wooing attempts. Knowledge is very important after all~

NEW TROLL TRIBES???
Very very much entertained by the idea of introducing new genres in the DreamWorks trolls world solely for the fact that I like imagining how the canon tribes react to their existence. I like the idea of a new genre of music that diverges from how the main tribes interpret their music (which you can see with the tags below)
Also it might just be me but if OPM (Original Pinoy Music) exists there (lmao just pushing the Filo rep agenda here), I can imagine them just being yet another Trollstopia but smaller bc DANG this genre of music has EVERYTHINGGGGG
Well that and recent singles have this very unique sound with the likes of Pagsamo, Mahika, Pano (a personal fav), Pasilyo, Habang Buhay and much more. I have no idea if this kind of music is a subgenre of its own but something about it just scratches my brain, which says a lot bc despite being Filipino I actually don't listen to OPM very often
Anyways this was a shitty rant like I have so much to say abt this but I also feel like the details are all over the place
PLS PLS PLS SHARE UR THOUGHTS BRAINSTORM WITH ME I NEED TO KNOW I AM NOT ALONE IN THIS

A Long Collection of inessential Genos, Saitama, and GenoSai headcanons that gradually get more chaotic
Individual Headcanons:
Saitama has no connection with his parents whatsoever. He practically raised himself. And, as a result, he hasn't had much of a childhood, and he isn't as knowledgeable as he should be about certain subjects due to lack of role models to teach him (projection go brr)
Genos initially learned how to cook si he could provide for Kuseno whenever he stopped by, because he secretly always felt bad for being a "burden" and for distancing himself from the man for the first 1 1/2 years since becoming a cyborg. He and Kuseno spoke about his feelings, however, and now he just learns cuz he gets bored on his hunt for the Mad Cyborg sometimes.
Saitama used to have trichotillomania, and it was what he first thought caused his hair loss. Additionally, after about a month of having godly strength, he knows the exact reason why he lost his hair (and no, it was not his strength. Kinda.)
Genos simultaneously loves autumn and hates it. Loves it cuz pretty, hates it cuz overactive (and edgy teen) brain is reminded of dying almost every time the season comes.
Saitama has ADHD-PI (ADHD predominantly inattentive). He is also autistic, with auditory and vestibular stims.
Genos has ADHD-HI (ADHD hyperactive-impulsive). Like Saitama, he has autism as well, but he has visual stims (he likes to zoom in and out on stuff with his robo eyes)
Saitama sees himself as a person heavily leaning towards Masc., and he's only ever known to be a man, but if someone somehow thought/referred to him as a different gender, he wouldn't care. (To this day, he justifies it as him not caring enough about a small mistake like that)
Genos also does not give a fuck if you thought of/referred to him as a different gender. He's too concerned about the Mad Cyborg to care whenever it happens.
Saitama has two exes. A shitty one and a chill one. He doesn't talk to either of them, but he did see them on the same day sometime after Genos moved in.
Genos has a massive soft spot for symbolism, major and small things alike. Aka: give him symbolic flowers and he probably won't throw them away immediately.
Saitama bites his nails when he's anxious. His palms are very calloused, too, compared to the rest of his skin.
Genos likes ducks—specifically Plumed Whistling ducks. He just thinks the feathers are neat.
Saitama loves lykois ("werewolf cats"). He spent 4 years begging his mom to get him one when he found out they existed. It didn't work.
Genos specifically asked Kuseno to make his latest arm set black because Saitama had told him once that black suited him.
Saitama used to be a D&D (or OPM universe equivalent) nerd when he was a young teen. He dropped it cuz of high school bullies (teachers included)
Genos sense of humor is just anything bizarre and loud.
Saitama takes long showers because he likes being enveloped in hot water. (Aka: he's touch starved to the 3rd degree)
Genos considered having Kuseno change his hair brown when he was 15.
Saitama despises beaches. Apart from the views, he hates everything about them and will actually go on a passionate rant about them.
Genos knows how to drive. Saitama doesn't.
Saitama used to work as an actor for a haunted house when he was 17.
Genos went through a grunge phase when he was 15.
Saitama knows how to steal without being caught, but he never uses that knowledge.
Genos eats straight sugar sometimes.
Saitama used to collect rocks, sticks, and marbles. He still has a few of those, sitting in a duffel bag he has in his closet.
Genos once got a shitty sticker stuck on his arm and couldn't get rid of it for a full week.
Saitama, prior to meeting Genos, used to go dumpster diving for paint cans so he could put graffiti on abandoned buildings.
Genos picked a fight with a squirrel once in his late teen years for "disrespecting Dr. Kuseno's property"
Saitama once put a hole in the wall from headbanging to music (punk rock, specifically). He put a ban on himself to never listen to it in the house again.
Genos spent an entire day chasing down a dog that took off with his (broken off) arm.
Saitama got stuck in a strip club overnight twice. Both times he was drunk and woke up under the stages. He snuck out when the clubs opened up again.
Genos burned half of Kuseno's hair when he was first learning how to use his fire attacks. He felt bad and burned his own to make it even.
Saitama snuck into his school during the night just to get back his favorite pencil that he left in his locker. He somehow didn't get caught.
Genos, before he learned proper combat, he used to have a "grab whatever's close and throw it" type of style of fighting. More often than not, it was usually chairs and tables he threw.

Emotional loneliness & the subconscious
One thing we must never forget with Genos.
He will always pay back with dividends whatever action has been taken against him. Be it with hatred, revenge or with his utmost loyalty, support and love.
Maksaa kalavelat takaisin potut pottuina.
(Potut means potatoes, potut pottuina means with equal measure) (Kala means fish, velat means debt, kalavelka means grudge borne from unfair treatment)
Tumblr media
So because Saitama lovebombed Genos with the divine power core, Genos will pay it back hundredfold. He's just that kind of guy, prone to extremes.
Just surely as the moon orbits around the earth, does the earth orbit around the sun, it's the universal law that Genos cares for Saitama. You'd have to erase his personality and himself entirely for this to not be true. And man, do the forces that be, try to do exactly that. It's like he can tip the scales of justice in his favour, a balance breaker in this regard.
So, the time to perform is night because OPM God is practically breathing down on everyone's necks and surveying the battlefield from below and above this time around and he wants to wring out some riffraff.
Tumblr media
There is very much plenty hints, the chapters are throwing an overabundance of clues around. The amount of subliminal hints, metaphors, allegories, idioms, visual cues, wordplay, etc. is extremely staggering and it's done on purpose to appeal on subconscious level. Murata-sensei and ONE throwing all eggs into the basket for a homerun.
I feel like I'm constantly becoming big brained by looking at new chapters and making all these possible connections with my brain and trying to predict future outcomes lol.
It's like blaring warning sirens if you're suddenly aware of it.
Tumblr media
There are many things one can start to predict in OPM. So OPM God can play chessmaster with everyone's emotions as the puppet master he is and get desired results.
But there is...one person that is completely utterly unpredictable...and that person is Genos. Nobody can completely understand Genos and his line of thinking.
Nobody knows what the fuck Genos is doing right now, for instance. We can only make educated guesses.
Except for one thing: he can't turn away from justice. Because he loves people too much. An emotional vulnerability that can and will be exploited. One he is not personally logically seeing.
Large amount of monsters are being released in an area with lots of civilians and being actually called on duty? Trust Genos to race to the scene, no matter what.
Tumblr media
And in this it is also a race against time, who can seal the deal with who first. Who can emotionally connect with who first with their emotional loneliness.
Tumblr media
Because everyone in this small area, are probably Super Empaths, also known as Heyoka Empath and emotionally lonely in their own ways. They keenly feel when others feel and bleed when others bleed and they can't turn this off. Emotional wounds bleed heavily.
And once you make a deal with OPM God, the God of Death or enroach upon his territory within the preternatural spiritualism, you aren't running away that easily. 4 people in the area are practically glowing with divine power.
What it means is becoming immortal and spending the eternity with this guy. Dead or alive. Sorry Future Garou, your sacrifice was most valiant. OPM God rewrote the script for that, because he did not want Saitama to give Garou therapy and emotionally connect via that, since Garou would've ended up just ranting about everything and confessing everything.
(Also denotes quite a bit about that there will be rivalries between individuals) (Cough death note) (Nice Ninja village leader and Blast ref here)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like a jealous lover, it wants all the pieces to himself. Probably for some eternity in torture kind of thing. Oh and Genos and Bang have to die, naturally.
So yea, the dimple reference would match, just wants some company because it's alone in the dark...but actually horrifying af. Eternity in pure despair ay...
(I'm so sorry Homeless Emperor, Orochi...)
There is one thing that Saitama is vulnerable to, it's his emotional loneliness. Trying to become a hero to find some kind of intimate emotional connection with a person with similar values.
A heart displaced is a heart swayed.
Tumblr media
The choice Genos can make where he chooses to place his heart into, will make it complete or shred it to pieces. The twilight zone between night and new dawn of day is still up. In the front is the sun of the new horizons and behind...the shadow of the looming death, The torii gate.
This race is also portrayed in the OPM ED1.
youtube
A race for Genos to connect with Saitama's heart first with his love, before anyone else does and doing so would protect him as well, because they are safeguards to each other's hearts. Monsters outside and inside exploit the desire for kindness, compassion, love and other emotions and when the heart is full, that's when the monsters can no longer find footing.
Tumblr media
In short, Genos has to show that he absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, loves him whole-heartedly and confess. So Saitama can show his own vulnerability, his weaknesses like his suicidal ideation and make him strong enough to withstand emotional manipulation and exploitation that OPM God will do, is doing, to him. And in turn, his heart will also find it's home in Genos.
Cuz, Saitama is playing chicken with his own emotional blind spots. They will soon catch up to him and everyone else. Insecurities, unreliability, immaturity, self-confidence, anger, feeling weak...maybe even rebirth.
Tumblr media
Saitama just does not have the guts to confess yet himself, he's far from certain about what he actualy feels since INFJ are slow and steady like the turtles racing against the rabbit in love business...but time is running out too fast to actually wait for the turtle to win the race because the rabbit fell asleep.
Dawn of the Last day, 24 hours remaining.
Saitama would just chicken out. Like bugs bunny under the rock face. Get second thoughts from not being absolutely certain that his emotions are reciprocated and shy away with his insecurities.
Saitama has a bucket list to go with him, so there's that.
Tumblr media
jänistää (jänis = bunny) (jänistää = chicken out and run away)
livistää arkuuttaan (chicken out and run away due to shyness)
luopua aikomuksestaan uhkaa koettuaan (give up on doing something due to a perceived threat)
(Ah the Tanabata)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can see the deformity in Saitama's eyes when he goads Garou into trying to hit him by appearing vulnerable while looking at him directly in the eye and seeing a glimpse of his soul. I don't think he likes that at all, since he's not the violent sort.
And oh, does this paint a clear metaphor, about what else can be found from the blind spot, upon the forehead, if he were to delve far too deep into the rabbit hole of his own psyche.
No wonder he's uncertain about Genos. There's definitely some kind of preternatural phobia or something involved. About the third eye/mind's eye. Definitely eldritch.
(Think Shimazaki from Mob psycho)

So, how does one Seal the deal with a God anyway?
Tumblr media
A gesture in agreement, probably a hand gesture (since spiritual people seem to be doing that a lot) but also a sentiment with emotional attachment to that specific emotion, I would say. And wholeheartedly agreeing with the sentiment.
Genos already made a deal with a god by becoming his disciple and got an impartation of power; access to Saitama's emotional strenght via his empathy.
To seal the deal completely?
I mean, what else can it be but a kiss on the lips and a love confession from this utterly infatuated idiot.
To wake up the sleeping beauty like in the fairy tales. How romantic to soulbound with someone for all eternity. And cursed when their fates get twisted and they never find each other. Romantic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet.
I say idiot fondly because it's exactly what he would want right now, but Saitama is not ready if he were to get a sudden influx of feedback loop of emotions. He would not know where he begins and Genos ends, like two people living under the same egghead, if he hasn't build up some mental walls first. Individualization would be almost impossible. The shadow snuck too close for comfort.
If Saitama the antenna, that makes Genos the wi-fi signal. As in the mural.
Tumblr media
Oh and Genos is definitely not ready yet either, he needs more mental strenght first to handle it. Saitama's emotions, his divine power, are strong af. He would probably explode.
I can predict about as far as Genos arriving to the scene...but it remains to be seen what kind of actions he will take.
He will probably end up doing something stupid or crazy though. But he will have to, to flip the webcomic script on it's head.
That will determine their fates. Because Saitama will need affirmation that he's not going to be left in emotionally lonely hell when the time comes. And neither will Genos, because Saitama would not allow it.
Tumblr media
Clear skies, full hearts, can't lose.
(The most hilarious and unpredictable thing would be for the romantic comedy to begin and Saitama and Genos make out in the base, in front of everyone else without any inhibitions, because Genos has the unholy hots for sensei and by sealing the deal, have this feedback loop.)
(Saitama would totally fall for Genos and even cosplay villain mafia boss if he had to and become anything at all for Genos.)
(ONE gonna go "Keep the change you filthy animals." when he feeds the shippers. But also because he's the biggest troll and it would be fucking funny to see the oldest joke in the series utterly dismantled and watch the fireworks.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Looks quite a bit to me that you're swinging that way indeed and walking in tandem. I don't believe that horsecrap saitama lol, nobody does)
(Tbh those also look like socks and or heels to me...Saitama & socks = sensuality and heels would def be sexuality.)
(Hehe Genos fighting for his love against opm god because Saitama is the rose bride from utena ahahaha, that would be some tug of war)
(Funeral suspenders btw)

LPM and her wild assumptions
I was just rereading the LPM and her conspiracy theory rants, and I had a thought.
Did OPM suggest to LPM that SQQ had designs on LBH?
When she’s arguing with NYY (Seven Seas translation):
“And he… he… did that sort of thing!” As she spoke, she clenched her teeth in hatred, the rims of her eyes going red.
Like what is ‘that’. Collude with demons? Kill Huan Hua disciples? Be ‘cruel and ruthless’ to LBH?
Anything goes, but it’s kind of funny that all the Huan Hua disciples are convinced SQQ did something bad to LBH, despite LBH never saying a word wrong about him (bc I don’t think he would tbh, knowing the simp he is). Sure, at this point he feels betrayed and angry, so that might slip through a bit, but their reaction feels extreme.
A possible theory is that the OPM – having heard rumours about SQQ smothering little white lotus LBH with love, and having witnessed him betting ridiculous numbers of spirit stones on him – slipped to the LPM that SQQ’s intentions towards him were impure (ofc it was the other way around ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )(also, hypocrite)(also also, that's something the OPM would think of, right?). Then LPM’s wild rants kind of make sense (?) from her perspective (?).
