More rainworld fusion headcanons/characters?

this is kinda just a continuation of the last one.

Iterators:

Watches Falling Droplets: Lurien, he’s a late gen iterator and was built in an area that already had immense rainfall. His city has two layers, one on top of his can like a normal iterator and one at ground level. The ground level one is the city of tears and would make up the vast amount of areas if he was in game. He’s absolutely in love with Beyond the Pale Horizon/Under Palest Watch. He’ll never act on it, and by the time he works up the courage it’ll be too late. Puppet colors are navy blue, black, and pale white.

Optimal Data Collection: Monomon, she and Lurien are neighbors. She was built in an area that experienced intense acid rains, hence all of her systems being largely acidproof and generally more robust than other late gen iterators. The lands around her are sparsely populated and biologically limited. Oomas are almost certainly her purposed organisms. Likes storing data in unique ways, has found a way to make use of her acid for this. puppet colors are navy blue, acid green, and bronze.

Purposed Organisms:

The Scholar: Quirrel. He’s a slugcat who has been modified extensively to contain some of Optimals higher level codes and information in his nervous system. Has a built in defense system in the form of a mask her wears that was made by her. He is also naturally acidproof like all slug cats from her area. His mission is generally to gather interesting data she otherwise couldn’t, but recently he’s been sent as an envoy to Under Palest Watch. He’s a light gray color with a white underbelly and green markings down his back. He also has cute little antennas.

Lumen: Luriens Buttler: they are a scavenger Droplets has modified to act as a general repair-person for his can. They’re also his closest confidant. Has recently convinced Droplets that scavengers should be allowed in the city of tears. This has started a unified project from both of them to uplift the local scavenger population. So far it seems to be going well. Lumen only suggested this because they fear Droplets will be lonely after they die. They’re a burgundy color with a pale mask Droplets gave them.

[Alterna Statues] An idea I've had for a few days!

What are they?

Why do they exist?

These 'statues' are not really statues, technically they are the remains of a human, covered/replaced by the liquid crystals from the fake sky! Like fossils! But...more ominous.

The statues were created as a result of the failed rocket launch that ended most life in Alterna!

As we know, the energy from the rocket boosters overloaded the crystals causing a massive cave in and debris to rain down upon humanity.

The crystals themselves serve as a way to record and/or display human desires and memories(?).

So, in this idea, during the tragedy, crystals that fell onto people would sort of flash freeze them and envelope their entire bodies. Then, the liquid would solidify and absorb the person's memories, desires, personality, etc.

This whole process is the reason as to why EVERY single one of the currently found statues seems to be frozen in time, with a mortified expression in their faces, as if running away from their end. It effectively "kills" the person, but at the same time doesn't.

The body is dead but everything that made the person, themselves, that made them human, are all recorded in the crystals. The statues 'soul' is alive, but they aren't.

That person isn't a person anymore, they are the crystals resembling what they once were, unmoving, unable to express emotions.

It is unknown whether or not the effects can be reversed. Agent Neo 3.5, codenamed L1, an expert in the preservation of the mind/ anything human, HEAVILY PROHIBITS touching the statues with bare skin.

Current hypothesis for what might happen in this case are:

-The one that touched it will have everything the statue recorded transferred into their brain, most likely killing them from the overload of information in the process.

-Everything will transfer to the new host of the information, but it will most definitely cause some sort of identity crisis (or more) as the subject is unable to decide who they are due to having 2 extremely detailed and real lives in their brain. They would be more like 2 people in one body, fighting for control, an unperfect fusion.

-Crystals will spread immediately upon contact, flash freezing the subject too, and condemning them to live out eternity together with all the other statues.

Further analysis from the previously mentioned L1, proposes the possibility of transferring the information onto a digital medium. If such is true, then it might be possible to create a new body from DNA samples and dump all the information into it, as had already been done with her, reviving whoever the statues were.

Or perhaps not.

Research into this phenomena is still ongoing, and the possibility of giving whoever these eternal monoliths of sadness and despair were, a second chance at life, is still low.

Who knows how many still sit inside their dome shaped cage, forced to never be able to see the blue sky, buried beneath tones of debris and water? Hundreds? Thousands?

We do not know.

All that we do know is that our Agents, along with some outside help from a certain octoling engineer/idol are doing their utmost to research this phenomena and crack the code to it's inner workings.

More updates on said research will be given out.... whenever I want to write.

Woke up today with visions of a new WIP.

The Owl House characters in a Code Lyoko -esque setting/story, in a similar vein as the Owl House X Adventure Time fusion Owlventure Time! by GoreMiser (its a good read, and almost complete, for a certain definition of "complete"), only in this case it'd also be sort of a Swap AU, putting Luz on the magical otherworld and the hexolios on Earth.

...Actually, given the almost-a-Swap-AU-ness, perhaps a better comparison would be the Owl House X Steven Universe fusion Seashells and Stars by Unniebeans (another good read, though nowhere near completion).

Anyways, Amity would replace Jeremie as the guy in the chair; Gus, Willow, and Hunter would replace Odd, Yumi, and Ulrich as the ones primarily on the front line; Luz and King would split the role of Aelita as the amnesiac kids stuck in the machine; Belos would replace X.A.N.A. as the BBEG (obviously); Eda would replace Franz as the creator of not!Lyoko (and once-guardian of the kids in the machine); and Boscha would replace Sissy as the nosy bully (and unwelcome suitor).

Members of the Hagsquad would also be sprinkled throughout the faculty of Hexside (which replaces Kadic), such as Lilith as the history teacher and Raine as the music teacher, and I've got A Few Ideas about Camila replacing Dorothy/Yolanda as the school nurse. Basically, I think it'd be neat to have a bunch of characters with ties to the supercomputer but who are nonetheless unaware of its existence.

I might leave Jim as Jim though, both because TOH doesn't have a similar character to replace him with, and because he's just kinda fantastic. I think he and Steve would be besties.

I would probably also incorporate ideas from my Code Lyoko rewrite, a backburner project I may or may not have mentioned here once or twice.

For instance, Franz (or in this case, Eda) retiring from whatever sketchy military thing to become a game developer rather than a science teacher, with Lyoko (or, whatever I call this not!Lyoko) as the world of the overly-ambitious-game-turned-haven. Maybe also the initial attempts at materialization ending up a bit crude, and leaving Aelita (or, in this case, Luz) with characteristics of her virtual avatar for her first season's-worth of trips to Earth.

My Top 15 Favorite Cartoons

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir

Miraculous is truly my favorite show at the moment. Avatar may be a bitter better in terms of quality (it's next on this list) but I always have so much fun watching this show. Miraculous gets way too much criticism. It's just a fun show about two dorks in love who don't realize it because of secret identity shenanigans. This show is at it's best when it's not taking itself too seriously. My favorite episodes are Evillustrator and Simpleman. Two of the funniest episodes!

Avatar: The Last Airbender

A timeless masterpiece. Avatar is one the best shows of all time. This was my favorite show growing up. Though I like to say Miraculous is my favorite show right now because I'm actively watching that one and participating in the fandom, Avatar is probably my true favorite. I would frequently pretend to be a waterbender when I played in the pool. And this was the first TV show I watched that got me interested in the behind the scenes of what goes into making a cartoon.

Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia

For the first few episodes of Trollhuntes, I honestly wasn't that interested. I actually stopped watching for awhile with no intention of continuing. I thought this show was a bust. But then, I had a friend convince me to give it another chance. And oh boy, am I glad I did. The show ended up being incredible!! It has the perfect balance of drama, action, romance, and comedy. And all of the characters are very likeable! Which seems pretty rare (except for Merlin. He sucks. Worst character. My favorite character is Steve). The others series in the trilogy, 3Below and Wizards, are great too. But Trollhunters is definitely the best one. (The movie sucked though. Worst ending....)

The Owl House

The Owl House was cut way too short. This show had so much potential. What we got was still amazing but it had the potential to be even better had it been given the chance. But despite being cut short, it was still an amazing show! My favorite character is Amity.

Gravity Falls

Mystery is my favorite genre and I wish more cartoons would have a little mystery in their plots. It's so fun to play along with the characters and try to solve the mystery yourself. It can be really satisfying when you get it right or it can be an exciting twist if you get it wrong! Gravity Falls gave me a new interest in codes and ciphers.

Steven Universe

I didn't like Steven Universe at first. Back when season 1 was airing and it would come on tv, I changed the channel. Season 1 was a bit boring for my taste. But I exposed myself to the spoiler that Garnet was actually a fusion all along which sounded really interesting to me so I thought maybe just one time, I won't change the channel. And the episode when Peridot first started staying at their house was on and I immediately fell in love with Peridot! I watched the entire arc of Peridot learning to appreciate Earth and by the time I finished watching those episodes, I was hooked! And of course, I love the songs!! No Matter What is my favorite one.

Adventure Time

Adventure Time is such a fun and goofy show. It always makes me laugh. But what I loved the most were the scenes with Marceline & Ice King. Their relationship was such a beautiful and tragic story.

Amphibia

I love Amphibia way more than I thought I would. I first started watching Amphibia during an Owl House hiatus because I needed something new to watch while I waited and I thought I'd give this a chance. I binged the entirety of season 1 in a day. Unfortunately I fell a bit behind and I still haven't seen season 3 yet (I've heard it's a sad ending! 😨) So I need to get on that!!!

Bluey

I'm honestly so surprised by how good this show is. When I first heard about it I expected it to be really cheesy and only enjoyable to really young children. But boy was I wrong. This show tells touching and relatable stories and reminds me of a happier time. My favorite episodes are Rain and Flat Pack.

Danny Phantom

Danny Phantom's ending was a bit rushed and they kinda completely forgot about Valerie's whole arc. I was looking forward to seeing where that would go but it ended abruptly. Like, the episode immediately before the final episode set up a whole story that we just never got. But other than that, I really enjoyed Danny Phantom. I love that they let Jazz discover Danny's secret so early on instead of dragging it out. (As many shows do now.) My favorite episode was Reality Trip.

Kim Possible

Kim Possible is always a fun watch. I love all of the characters! Shego and Dr Drakken are my favorite! (They're a bit of a package deal) and Rufus is a close second. And my favorite episode is Emotion Sickness.

American Dragon: Jake Long

Something about secret identities is so appealing to me. This is like the fourth show on the list, I believe, that involves secret identities lol. This is another show that had a bit of a rushed ending in my opinion. They tried to tie up too many loose ends in two short episodes it seemed (at least The Owl House did three long episodes) But still a great show nonetheless! Sometimes when I Jake talks, I can't help but hear Zuko 🤣

Teen Titans

I loved Teen Titans as a kid! (and still now of course). We were robbed of a Starfire centered season with this show!!! When I was a kid, Starfire was favorite character (I lean more toward Raven now). But every character got an arc that lasted a whole season long, except for Starfire. I kept waiting for it to come but it never did. Not only that, but the show ended on a cliffhanger! I think that's why I hate Teen Titans Go! so much. They could have brought this show back and continued Tara's long awaited story as well as finally give Starfire her season long arc! But instead they made a goofy parody of the show... I'd still really like to see this show come back some day, for real.

Lilo and Stitch: The Series

Lilo and Stitch was probably my favorite Disney movie growing up. So, naturally, I became a fan of the series as well! I always related a lot to Lilo. And Lilo and Stitch did a few crossovers with other favorite shows of my (such as American Dragon and Kim Possible) which made the show even more fun!

Winx Club

This was my all time favorite show as a kid before Avatar came out! I was obsessed!!!!! Winx Club made me obsessed with fairies. I wanted to be a fairy so badly. I always tried to make my friends play fairies with me. I tried to get all my friends like this show just as much as I did. Unfortunately it was very underrated. Now that I've re-watched a few times after growing up, I definitely understand why. Some of the dialogue is pretty cringy and the 4Kids dub changed a bunch of stuff for no reason. Although I will always stand by the 4Kids dub being the best one.

okay okay okay my xcom sillies!!!! So context for xcom 2, after the first game the like... xcom program lost and this fascist alien organization takes over and xcom 2 takes the perspective of a resistance origination fighting against the aliens rather than like... a weird government project in xcom 1

So the big appeal for xcom 2 (TO ME) is dressing up all the characters and making them all cool and silly and seeing them grow (and sometimes die :( but this is my first playthough so I'm MEGA savescumming) and making them gay and making propaganda about it

All xcom characters are randomly generated so I try not to change much about their name and appearance UNLESS I want to transgender them

Rangers are a really fun class in xcom bc they're like the melee guys and ugh they have a lot of cool mechanics, and unlike my other guys (like generic grenadier, generic grenadier. generic grenadier)

anyways, going by each one by one, starting with Sergio "Pathfinder" Valdéz

He was my first ranger and it def shows!!! He started off a bit silly but slowly he becomes swaggier

my favorite thing about him (apart from him being literally one of the most experienced fighters in my run) is that he's gay married to his alien bestie, Mox. Xcom 2 has a mechanic where soldiers can bond and do teamwork stuff but I was like nah they're gay now

anyways this is their beautiful evolution, I love them so much. Mox is an alien catman now I love him (bonus mox pic as a treat). Those two were also part of the group that took out one of the big bosses permanantly (chosen assasin) and now Pathfinder rocks their cool ass shotgun

Kong "Jetstream" Guo

I only got another ranger till I was DEEP in the campaign but that was Jetstream!

I think I mostly sent him on covert missions until Pathfinder got REALLY taken out for a bit and like now gah I love him. Covert missions increase soldiers' stats and it really showed for him How he started out: (also if the poster tags aren't silly goofy that's bc xcom makes an automatic poster for each mission and sometimes I don't have a joke but the posters look nice/have good pics of the xcom guys)

Anyways I call him Jetstream bc while making his armor look all cool I realized I had accidentally made Jetstream Sam's armor so like????? slay!!! I literally just went with that. He specs really well into mele enow and has a special blade (the chosen assasin katana) that is REALLY good against armored mechanical enemies. Also like gah he's so good with that weapon, he took out like... three armored enemies in a single overwatch turn with that blade so like yeah... jetstream sam type guy.

I love that second image bc it was one of those auto generated ones bc it has this spooky quote and he's just like :)

Jane "CATastrophe" Kelly

Actually my first character but I never used her bc she's like... the only pregenerated character you have so for a while I didn't know what to do with her till I got this cat armor mod and was like "I know what I'm gonna do with her". Anyways she's an axe wielding catgirl for the resistance.

Raine "Spectre" Elliot

Okay she was a weird little cis guy when I got her but I since turned her into a cool transgender half alien gal :>>>>

I gave her that cool lil mask and also gave her the Apex/Titanfall Ash voicelines bc like... idk felt with the vibe of that mask

She also has the WRAITH suit which allows her to phase through stuff so like she's very cool and ghost coded. Idk much else abt her yet but her bondmate is a cool sharpshooter lady and when that happened I was like "yeah slay okay they're girlfriends"

I have a lot of other xcom sillies (including literally ottacon) but this post is getting waay long. Thank you for the ask!!! I love my xcom sillies and love talking about them

I'm a little hesitant to say Wentworth would do well in the Imperial Navy because while the 19th century British Navy was bad in a lot of ways esp in terms of empire-building (even Churchill-- himself very much engaged with immoral attempts at the construction of and maintenance of the British empire-- is said to have claimed that the traditions of the British Navy were rum, sodomy, and the lash) I'm not sure that someone with so high a sense of honor and so open and feeling a character as Wentworth would thrive in a system where force-choking is a legitimate way of responding to employee complaints and you spend your days blowing up planets.

I think you could do it if, say, you were doing a fic interrogating the evils of empire and you want an uncomfortable but perhaps necessary look into the evils of the British Empire that Wentworth and his fellow naval officers are upholding, but then even, the parallels are a bit... murky, as in the time period itself being in the armed services were seen, at least in part, as a way of stopping a greater evil (Bonaparte's imperial ambitions). I think you could also do it if Wentworth has a dramatic realization a la Finn in The Force Awakens that he's part of a system he doesn't agree with, and then joins the Rebel Alliance or something and thus tries to get Anne (perhaps around because her dad's an imperial officer) to defect with him, or something. Or @rain-sleet-snow told me that Luke's best friend became an imperial officer cadet in order to defect with some nifty new skills and insider knowledge about the enemy, so I could see Wentworth doing that too.

I think the most essential parts to keep when translating Wentworth into an AU are:

He's extremely shaped by the profession he chooses to pursue. A lot of how he sees himself and sees the world is filtered through, or shaped by how he makes a living and he takes pride in being really good at what he does. Most of his friendships and deepest connections with people come from his profession, or are with people who share the same profession and see the world in similar ways or have experienced the world similarly. (So like, Rebel Alliance pilot might fit?)

Self-confidence. He's good at what he does and he knows it.

However, that self-confidence has to be built on an inner moral code, or a sense of honor or justice or some higher ideal that he knows to be right and that he won't deviate from and from which he won't be swayed. He values this about himself, and puts his sense of honor before a lot of other considerations. He was almost going to offer to marry Louisa, even though he realized that he didn't love her and was still in love with Anne, because he had raised expectations. And even though Mary says he "wasn't very gallant" to Anne by saying he wouldn't have known her again, Wentworth still is extremely gallant overall, as defined by the standards of his society, i.e. he offers the ladies assistance in walking, he helps Anne into a gig, he expresses such concern over the comfort of ladies he won't allow them on his ship (even though he totally does, multiple times, as his sister and brother-in-law point out). Which leads me to:

At heart, he is an extremely kind and compassionate person who values people, and whose instinct is to take care of someone if they're hurt. This is the guy who could be kind and consoling and say nice things about Dick Musgrove when Austen-as-narrator says Dick Musgrove was good only for a dick joke, and who risked being court-martialed and losing the career that defined his life in order to console Captain Benwick when Fanny Harville died.

Has to come from a lower socio-economic status than Anne/ in some way have less advantages/ less of a safety net/ less of a clear path towards staying and thriving in the narrow sliver of society in which they both live. In Austen's time that's the gentry class. Whatever you translate it to in an AU ought to have the same sense of a small, very connected society with a highly codified but accepted standard of behavior, where the dividing line between public and the private self can be a little murky and reputation really matters.

Is a self-made man, and so much in the "I am the master of my fate/ I am the captain of my soul" mindset, he can't understand why Anne chooses to end their engagement-- he doesn't get why she would be so dependent on the opinions of other people, or why she would be more cautious because she's more aware of what's at stake if anything goes wrong

Very active-- physically as well as mentally. I can't see an AU where Wentworth's happy doing data entry-- he needs a life that involves some level of risk, or some kind of fighting, that has great rewards but also terrible consequences if it doesn't work out.

Open book. He feels stuff deeply and expresses it. Sometimes that can come out in weird ways because the workings of the human mind aren't always the clearest, but even if he doesn't understand all he's feeling, i.e. he doesn't realize he's still in love with Anne, he isn't shy about coldly but courteously showing on their first meeting that he hasn't forgiven Anne and that he's still angry with her for breaking their engagement. Once he does figure out he's still in love with Anne, however, he wastes no time in coming to see her in Bath, and only hesitates in proposing again because he isn't sure if Anne still likes him/ if she's about to be engaged to Mr. Elliot.

In terms of plot and setting-- I think that's a bit more loosey-goosey. You can change a lot if the characters have the same basic qualities, motivations, and values as their canon counterparts, and their actions spring from who they are as people. I think you still need the idea of a small society where everyone knows each other and it's nearly impossible to escape your ex if she's in the same neighborhood/ quarantine pod/ space ship/ whatever, and you need the sense of Wentworth not understanding why Anne broke up with him, but Anne breaking up with him because someone close to her gave her advice that persuaded her that staying together would injure Wentworth, and breaking up would be to Wentworth's benefit (I don't think Anne would be Anne if she broke up with Wentworth for her own benefit-- she'd be an entirely different character if she did that). I think Wentworth's success has to follow that break-up and there needs to be some ambiguity as to whether or not he would have been as successful if Anne hadn't broken up with him. Louisa's accident is also key, I think, since that's the turning point where Wentworth realizes he's been wrong and that Anne's amazing, and that in his anger and hurt, his unthinking actions have led to the point where he might have to marry someone he doesn't love and who wouldn't be able to keep her head in a crisis. Also, I hate to say it since adapting the letter was the thing that honestly terrified me the most, but you've got to have the letter! You've got to have an ending that reflects how Anne and Wentworth have all this subtext to their conversations and actions that no one else knows about, but they have been painfully aware of at all times-- and I think it's really crucial that Anne's the one to very subtly make subtext text, and for Wentworth to follow her lead and put everything out very plainly and forthrightly.

So I decided to be a little silly and spend the night figuring out instrumental themes to go with @loremaster's Rain Code fusion designs! A music man's gotta do what a music man's gotta do! And as someone who's watched all of Steven Universe front to back and around again, I am very entertained by finding fitting music for fanmade fusions. So here goes!

Yomi/Halara - Elite Four Theme from Pokemon Scarlet/Violet (Intimidation factor upped to the max, always in control of any conflict. Even more terrifying when the intro is stuck in a never-ending loop (if ya know, ya know))

Makoto/Halara - NOW’S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A/BIG SHOT from Deltarune (Don't act like ya didn't see this one coming)

Zilch/Vivia - Nargacuga Theme from Monster Hunter Rise (specifically chose Rise's version over World's since it's a bit more mild in tone and contains piano, but at the cost of losing the bass guitar section much to my dismay)

Yomi/Yakou - Boss (Vandelay Theme) from Hi-Fi Rush (Radiating bad cop vibes like a microwave, also grunge guitar fits their fusion to a T)

Yomi/Vivia - The Trickster from Dead By Daylight (the design and personality gave me a lotta Matt Engarde and Ji-Woon Hak vibes, so I figured that the latter's theme would suit them nicely. The 'dies irae' motif fits them like a glove!)

Vivia/Makoto - Wielder Volo Theme from Pokemon Arceus (We love an overdramatic king)

Yomi/Yuma - I Saw A Deer Today from Portal 2 (Fits that uncanny science experiment gone wrong energy, which is what this funky lil fella gives off in waves)

Fubuki/Shinigami - Rival Battle from Pokemon Black/White (Upbeat and optimistic, attuned to a happy-go-lucky rookie death god)

Seth/Yakou - Alone In The Town from Silent Hill 2 (He's a real nowhere man)

Liked the Nintendo Direct a lot! Plenty of fun games both previously announced and revealed here, and a lot of them are coming early on next year!

The announcements that got me the most excited were the new Fire Emblem and Octopath Traveler games, as well as Rain Code, though some other announcements were nice to see too (Tales of Symphonia remaster, Kirby WiiU return even if I’m probably gonna pass that one, and a new Theaterhythm). I have some thoughts on the big ones I mentioned.

First, Fire Emblem Engage. I love the series so I am really excited to that see a new one is being made, and will be out in just a few months! However, I have some mixed feelings about it. Specifically, on how it’s using bringing in protagonists from previous games in the series as a plot point and game mechanic.

Three times now there have been games in the series that have done this: the first FE Warriors, FE Heroes, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions. And each time they never really had much of an effect on the plot. Heroes and TMS downplayed the old series characters to tell their stories with the original characters. The most effect past protagonists had was with Warriors, but that also had the weakest story of the three and the least developed original character world.

So seeing this being brought in to Engage in a very significant way makes me a little worried on how it’s going to go. On the plus side, it looks like the older characters are being used not as full-on summoned to this world characters like the other examples, (so the new characters should still be the stars) but instead brought in as phantasmal beings in stat-buffing rings, and can even make fusion forms with the game’s new characters. This could be a fun spin on the gameplay and is honestly pretty cool. On the minus side, the balance between old and new could easily be tipped to put too much in a direction and lose what the game may be going for. If there’s too much emphasis on Marth and co., this could leave the new characters and world underdeveloped and unsatisfying. But if there isn’t enough emphasis on Marth and co., then that begs the question of why go through all the trouble with them to begin with? Would it just have been better to either not have this mechanic, or have it with original characters, past heroes of Engage’s own world, instead on relying on brand recognition from other games in the series? So I’m excited, but in a cautiously optimistic way right now.

Also, as a minor note, with Sigurd being featured, I haven’t played Genealogy yet, and I know his general story thanks to Heroes, but I would really like his story to be officially released or remade out of Japan to enjoy in full. The remake option worked great for Alm and Celica with Shadows of Valentia after all!

For Octopath Traveler 2, the game is looking to be a sequel that’s a lot like the first, only more. The trailer’s advertised interconnections with the heroes’ stories, but I don’t know if they mean that it will be like the first one, where there’s an underlying thread that comes out in the endgame after all stories are done, or if there is actually more interaction between the heroes this time around.

Either way, I am liking that technology is a little more present (there’s a train, and a factory that explodes!) and I’m eager to see how they’ve built on to this game after the first Octopath, since Triangle Strategy and Live a Live also used this engine.

As for Rain Code, seeing this coming from the team that worked on Dangan Ronpa has me very excited! I love mysteries, and also enjoyed Dangan Ronpa a lot, but if you’ve played V3, then it is pretty clear that V3 was very likely to be the final game of that type they would make (for a long time at least). So, seeing the mystery solving come back fresh as a full-on detective story rather than a high-school killing game, with that powerful, over-the-top flair that helped DR stand out, I am really excited to see where this goes.
