Dude, the creator admitted it was ‘Raysh’ because ‘Ra’s al Ghul’ is a pun for ‘Racial Ghoul’, just spelled more ‘foreignly’. He was a Middle Eastern Batman villain made in the 1970s, he wasn’t going to have a very original name, like how Aquaman’s archenemy was a black man named Black Man(ta). So you do see why most adaptations tend to go for a new pronunciation.

well first of all u definitely sent this to the wrong person. this feels like it's a rebuttal to something but i have absolutely no idea what. i haven’t even talked about Ra’s name pronunciation stuff on here in well over a year (the last time i recall doing so was in March 2022)

i personally gravitate towards/consider the Arabic pronunciation of the name—something closer to 'Raaz'—to be correct rather than ‘Raysh’ to begin with, as i mentioned in that post from March 2022

i'm curious what your source is on his creator admitting that? (also, tbh, I'm curious which creator you mean—Denny O’Neil the writer, or Julie Schwartz the editor who initially came up with the name? I don't think it'd be Neal Adams the artist though since he used the 'Raaz' pronunciation) I've seen speculation before that that sort of pun was part of the intent, but I've never seen anything confirming it, so if there is something that confirms that i'd be genuinely interested in seeing it!

In the japanese version of uprising only, the Aurum have their own unique voice when they speak through Phyrron (or rather, Raaz in this version), and it's rather creepy.

This causes this boss fight to have a completely different, more horror-esc tone rather than the English version's very comedic tone. This is easily the biggest change in between the two versions. This, along with a few other things, are why the Japanese version of Kid icarus uprising has a generally darker tone in it's writing.

(obm rant ahead it's long)

kinda really pisses me off when people dismiss the demand for good writing in dating sims by simply saying "it's a dating sim what do you expect." (and yes this is about a stupid take i saw about obey me specifically on twitter how did you guess.)

like, maybe this is a me thing but if a game is heavily driven by gacha then i am even more obligated to be critical of it. and if i'm going to be investing that much time (and money) into it, i think i deserve Something out of it???

i've complained about this on here so many times but it's genuinely so hard to actually keep progressing in the story (normal mode at least), especially if you're a new player - unless you whale a whole lot, or get extremely unbelievably lucky. and when you get past like, lesson 20 i think? the struggle just seems... meaningless.

why am i waiting four whole days just to level up one card by ONE level, just so that i can get past this one really annoying dance battle, only for the next story to be just... plain bad? and then i have to do it all over again?

like okay, maybe the story does get better in fucking season 3 which is like twenty more chapters away (btw from what i've heard, it kind of just doesn't get better) but as a new player it is just so hard to keep that level of commitment especially if all you're rewarded with is horrible writing and negative character development.

i've played free dating sims with better played out plots and stories than this and it just pisses me off so much because the general "idea" of obey me is SO good and so fun! and the characters you meet are genuinely interesting. although some jokes were objectively cringe i can live with that (i am playing a dating sim, after all...) like spoilers for lesson 16 and above i guess but in my opinion the execution of the whole belphie hating humans and quite literally killing MC was done in a pretty nice way! as well as the backstory cards regarding the brothers (and everyone else other than the MC) and their relationships with each other! for example anytime i think about satan and lucifer's strained relationship i get a little bit emotional - and yes of course sometimes satan's almost childish annoyance towards him can be pretty funny, it's almost always treated as a running gag (even after they "sort it out") - to the point where it's one of satan's defining characteristics (the other is his love for cats and books). and that's it! that's all there is to his presence in the main story for the most part.

the events are somehow even more annoying - (those i can actually play without being frustrated about my level) and the stories always try so hard to squeeze every single dateable character in one scenario. and this ends with all of them feeling like caricatures of themselves and i hate it! so much! because again - these are genuinely really fun characters and they have so much potential! even if the devs want to make MC your typical harem protagonist, they can still do it well but they just aren't and it makes me so mad 😭😭😭

"well raaz stop playing the game then!" i did do that actually for a good amount of time and i came back because solomon birth (fire emoji), also anniversary. but also i feel like the players kinda deserve better. especially given the gacha aspect.

although i do think that the anime and music are genuinely pretty good - it's just kinda frustrating that they're not improving their main product first.

"what was the point of saying all of this?" there was no point at all. im just annoyed that i actually spent time and money on this game. though i will say that i do love the fan creations and people kinda treating the characters like their OCs and giving them the plot and development they deserve.

"this is a really long post why do you complain so much?" at this point im just criticising myself for no reason but also idk! i play a couple of gacha games other than obey me and i've honestly realised that it's the worst and shittiest way to monetise your game. and gacha games deserve at LEAST twice the amount of critical analysis because it could literally be the reason for someone's fucking gambling addiction. idk

good night it is almost three am and i have a road trip to be on tomorrow

Battle of Imam Hussain (as)

When Nadeem Sarwar wrote this in one of the latmiyah (noha) lyrics he wasn't wrong:

Bolay Ali (as) Hussain (as) ho ab bhi hawas main? Aesi TU Jang hum na laray bhook o piyas main

(ALI (as) asked Hussain (as) it is remarkable that after all you have been through you are still fighting the oppressors with such vigour and strength albeit being thirsty and hungry for three days - that is how come weakness has not yet over powered you!)

Maqtal writes about the battle Imam Hussain (as) made and what is surprising is that many yazidi historians also write about Imam Hussain (as) final battle on Ashura! Words may not have enough potential to describe his fence and defense. Only perhaps to explain some gist in broken way is that Imam Hussain (as) loved Allah, Allah's Prophet (saww), Allah's religion, and Allah's Wali (as) so much that albeit the extent of adversity that one person could go through and a never ending array of heinous acts by the yazidis that could shatter one person mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, Imam Hussain (as) remained ever more affirm on his stance. Therefore, when he arrived in the battlefield and when he saw that only defense and fence is left he made his advance. His first advance shattered the central command of yaidis and disrupted their entire alignment so much that some ran to escape and hit the gates of the adjoining city Koofa! To capture this maqtal writes,

"The yazidis flee as if the grass hoppers skipping here and there aimlessly!"

Maqtal also writes that there are moments in Ashura when Imam Hussain (as) during his battle halted his advance and he alone was in the battle field because the yazidis were so afraid that they could dare not approach. While Imam Hussoan (as) halted maqtal says he was speaking to Allah (swt), the raaz o niaz. Meanwhile Umar IBN e Saad used to increase promises of bounties so his puppet, soul less army started to attack again, and this went on for a while.

Maqtal also says that one of the beauty of Imam Hussain (as) attacks was his devotion to Allah and the way he was remembering his Lord so he reiterated,

"By Allah, for Allah, no strength except Allah"

The skies had no Hijab that day therefore the Lord of Universes Himself witnessed Hussain (as) revert back lacs of army that stood against Allah's Deen and his Prophet (saww)! Therefore, Allah (swt) also sent His praise to Imam Ali (as) and Bibi Sayeda (sa) again on Ashura and He spoke to the angels who had formerly asked Allah (swt) to topple the Earth like He (swt) had done before when transgressors exceeded their limits and spread fitna and oppression. So Allah (swt) spoke,

"Praise on Hussain (as) and my salutations on Hussain (as) and his ancestors for verily they are the ones fulfilling their promise and I shall also render my promise to them!"

And then when it was time to deliver the promise by Mola Hussain (as) and the world was no longer suitable to be an abode for such a magnificent and loved soul, Allah (swt) spoke again:

“O tranquil soul!

Return to your Lord, well pleased ˹with Him˺ and well pleasing ˹to Him˺.

So join My servants,

and enter My Paradise.” (Surah Fajar 27 to 30)

Imam Hussain (as) when he heard that the Lord (swt) himself awaits his return, he ceased his sword.

Ibrahim (as) when he was being oppressed by Namrood and when he was asked what he thought about burning in the fire and dying he said, "Why delay meeting a dear friend (Allah)?"

Imam Hussain (as) was from Khalil ullah Hazrat Ibrahim's (as) generation and he remained affirm on the words of Khalil ullah (as) therefore, he responded to Allah's call in the following words while ceasing his attacks immediately and foregoing his sword,

"To Allah (swt) we belong and to Him (swt) we return."

And that was that. Yazidis slowly started overpowering Imam Hussain (as) until the point he was made a seive of wounds with blood oozing out of him and no form of attack remained that his soul did not receive. Stones, dust, rocks, spears, lances, swords, bludgeon and what not? And what is ahead is the worst of worst in the chequered past of so called Muslim history which… is the masaib of shahadat.

Far far superior to anything here,only nation that's managed to preserve-nurture its cultural ethos past half century,that Ind's failed miserably at since early 90s lib.

Ep:2 :-THE NIGHT REMEMBERED

So our heroine Swamini is with me we have planed to go out together, we are at a place for our dinner we are like wearing mast clothes and all (Swamini looking phataka) so we sat on our table and as I was glaring here and there while mini was ordering for us mujhe kya dikhta hai pata hai ki ek ladka duur se humare auur dekh raha hai maine dhyan se usse dekha toh samajh Aaree yeh toh sahil hai swamini ka guum hua tha woh pehela pyaar. I saw him and I was confused to tell Swamini or not. Cuz I was tensed if she will get shocked and all the trauma will hit her badly and her healed wound would open up again. So I chose to keep quite as we finished our meal , Sahil approached towards us I glanced at mini if she's ok and she was surprised but in good way , cuz she had got over her feelings about him and was doing very well. Sahil came talked to her and I was kabab mein hadi between do bichade premi . Toh maine Swamini ko ishara kiya ki tu handle kar main jaa rahi hu . So I made up some excuse and left.

Sahil and swamini were overwhelmed to see each other after so many years ( raaz ki baat dono bhi single hai) they felt lil bit awkward but Sahil tried to break the awkwardness and started talking about their old days and they got into a cab and reached marines. Nighty night and moon seeing down towards both of them and smiling , stars glittering road was lil bit chaos but as the night was getting darker the atmosphere was getting more quiter , there was only light of street lamps throughout the road they are walking on the upper path where couples sit doing shit . the cold breeze is doing it's job greatly . both are walkin and talking he's listening while adoring her adorable cute face and smiling in his mouth trying not to show it. Mini is talking and talking they sat after a while and while mini is talking and he's listening they look into each others eyes, deeply drown into each others eyes swamini 's hairs come into action and they comes slightly on her face Sahil with the help of his masculine hand puts them back across her ear (romance is in the air) they are so close to each other that they can feel each others breathe phir piche jor se horn bajta hai aur tum dono hosh main tum dono niche paani ko dekh rahe hote ho Sahil uth ta hai aur chai bechne wale se tum dono ke liye do coffee lata hai . Tum dono coffee pite hue marines pai baithe hue chain se at midnight without any disturbance baas peace aur pani ki leheron ki aawaj (just imagine so wow!) Chalte chalte tum log train se jaane ke liye station ki auur nikalte ho puri raat raste pe koi nahi bus tum dono aur street lamp ki roshni .All of sudden Some dogs bark kahi duur aur tum yaha darti ho and he startled and woh tume aapni bahoon (he takes you in his warmth of Arms)

mein leta hai as a feeling of safety ki kuch nahi tum safe ho mere sath background mein violin bajna shuru hota hai "tik tik vajate dokyata dhad dhad vadhate dokyata"... Again dog barks and you come into real life again. Station pe jate ho aur without ticket train mein chadhate ho , because of your habit you enter into ladies daaba and then realise he's not with you you search for him and gets tensed and he pops up in the gents daba which are exactly adjacent to each other and at next station you change into his raha he walks you to your house and says bye while you are going inside he's looking you from back and shouts out your name ,u turn around and he says "Phir kab milenge? " and you two exchanges your numbers and talk whole night..
