okay so ive been in an adhd brain rot?? where im just fucking HORRIBLE at reblogging fics that i enjoy and honestly it was my whole reasoning behind making this blog FOR GIVING WRITERS THE LOVE THEY DESERVE i just wanted to give a shoutout to these writers (and stories) they’ve made that just fucking messed with my brain (and in a good way okay??) over these last few months. please check them out and give them all the fucking love they deserve

like a poem (FINISHED series, but sometimes if you ask nice enough she will throw a blurb in there) - im so very fucking biased because i love her to the moon and back, but she writes the best fucking stories of joe that will keep you up all night having you rethinking all of your life choices. IT WAS VERY HARD FOR ME to pick out a story that i wanted to highlight in this post, but the whole reason i fell in love with her writing was because of bookstore!joe and he will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart. love you boo

echoes (FINISHED, series) - again im so very fucking biased because she is the sweetest person you will have the pleasure of knowing BUT THATS BESIDE THE POINT - she writes so fucking beautifully she will literally have you CRY and this will forever and always be my favourite fic of hers. she deserves all the love she gets, and then even more so read it!!!! (she will make you cry its not on me tho)

the hideout (FINISHED, oneshot)- this was one of the first fics i read and fell in love with. it was in that timeperiod where all i could do 24/7 was read eddie munson fanfics and this was one of those fics where i went “holy SHIT??” and honestly i dont think there will ever be a time where this isnt just some % on my mind??

The birthday has come! Let's get into these Qs, heheh!

My favorite game OF ALL TIME is definitely a tie between Pokemon Platinum and Fallout 4! Pokemon Platinum is the first game I ever had that I owned, and Fallout 4... god. I don't know, it's just so good??? Sun Haven is DEFINITELY in spot #2 though.

The game I have the most hours in... hmm. Probably Skyrim. I don't have them recorded because I played it mostly offline, but I know I have well over a thousand hours in it. How many exactly, the world may never know, though...

HMM. This is something I'm still debating! I know at least a year will. Maybe 2. I don't really know the time for each individual game in the series' time frame until I'm in the midst of planning and writing!

The MC WILL meet more Alphas! Actually, they have already, they just... don't know it yet. And yes. MC will indeed be looking into the rumored disappearances of Alphas... it's actually part of the main plotline in Book 4.

Quinn does have some pretty cool scars, with stories linked to each one! To go with the ask for his hobbies, he actually has small scars on his fingers from when he first learned to whittle as a child, and from some mishaps with putting bait on fishing hooks. He has a pretty gnarly scar on his ribs from his youth, when he was only a detective, before he even became his father's deputy. He was investigating the disappearance of a young man, down in a cave not far outside of Armington. He found that the man had been taken captive by a female Arachne... a spider-humanoid creature, and this particular variety has a nasty acid spitting capability. By the time he managed to get himself and the man out, it had eaten through his protective gear and hit the ribs.

As for hobbies though! Whittling, fishing, making sure MC isn't off doing something stupid again, and he likes reading horror or sci-fi books. He's a big fan of Stephen King and James Patterson.

Sylvia absolutely would get matching BFF tattoos with MC! She'd probably try to convince them to get something floral or related to birds in some way.

A BITEY MC... excellent. I'm ngl I would love to affectionately bite. Just a lil nibble.

AAAAAAA I LOVE THAT TROPE! I'm taking this as like crushing phase!

Blake... would be all for it. He'd actually probably snuggle closer and fall back to sleep. He is a very cuddly dude, and he sleeps easier when there's someone else in the room with him, especially someone he's romantically interested in. He might even give MC a very light kiss on the temple.

Loche... oh man. Their heart would be POUNDING and they would feel such an intense longing. They'd curl MC closer to them, gently running their scarred fingers ever so lightly over their face, memorizing every curve and dip. There would be a seed of hope down in their chest that this will eventually be something that happens every morning... if Loche can just tell MC the truth.

Freja would freeze. She wouldn't move an inch, she wouldn't even breathe. It'd take a few long moments for her to gently pry the MC's arm from around her waist and extract herself from the warmth of the covers. She'd cover them back up and proceed to leave them to sleep, her mind still replaying the incident over and over and over again.

Iri is a cuddlebug, just like Blake. They'd MORE than welcome MC cuddled up to them or being cuddled up to MC, even that early into their relationship. Iri would have the BIGGEST grin, then simply go back to sleep.

Adontis would wake, taking a moment to breathe in MC's scent, then realize just how close he is to MC. In fact, they're curled up to his chest, his arm keeping them close. He would softly smile, run his fingers through their hair, before easing his way out of the bed, making sure to pile the pillows around them and tucking the covers to keep the warmth in. It would be a memory he holds close, even deeper into the romance.

Fawn... hmm. She's a hard one. She'd stiffen for a moment, her senses wiring themselves up, before she realized what exactly is going on. She'd slowly relax, especially once her body and mind caught up to each other and she realized how comfortable she is with this. With them. She'd bury her nose in MC's hair and keep them close, until she felt them starting to wake. She'd move away, back to her side of the bed, and pretend to be sleeping.

A romantic date night....

Blake is a simple man, which I'm sure you've all figured out by now. He'd probably make dinner and have it outside on a cool but not chilly evening, fresh flowers on the center of the table, and he'd be waiting outside for the moment MC got home. He'd be close all through dinner, and would want to curl up on the couch with MC after, holding them close to his chest. Now, I can't say that when they get to the bedroom it's still gonna be all romantic and whatnot, but he does have their favorite candles on the nightstands and the dresser, and he washed all the bed linens and put fresh ones on. Simple man.

I'm going to be honest, Loche doesn't know much about romance. They're trying to learn, to figure things out for MC, because they want to know how humans show affection and love, so they can give that. They would rely heavily on the team for help, and would eventually decide to do something similar to Blake: Loche would ask Freja to help them make a dinner that is fitting for 'romance' (and Freja would be happy to help, she finds it very sweet and also she's a big romantic herself), have the table set with rose petals leading to it from the door, and probably would take Iri and Adontis's advice to offer MC a massage with warm oil.

Freja, Ms. Big Romantic at Heart, who loves her romance novels to bits... would have to wage war against her crippling social anxiety and fears of [redacted] to do the very best she can. She would have Adontis screen and handle calls for the night, so she can plan her method of attack. I can without a doubt say a hot bubble bath with MC's favorite candles and scents would be part of the night, MC's favorite meal cooked to perfection, and the two of them curling up together on the couch to pick back up on the show they've gotten super behind on. Lots of affection, starting slow as Freja relaxes.

Iri, Iri, Iri... definitely would take MC out to their favorite restaurant, and get them whatever the wanted, no holds barred. And when they get home? There's a full-body, sensual massage waiting for MC with oil and Iri's very warm, big, capable hands.

Adontis... I'm sure it's not surprising that Adontis is a man with expensive tastes. He would buy out the most beautiful point of whatever city or town they're in, have whatever meal MC would like whipped up to perfection, and he'd break out some of his oldest wines. Gentle music playing, the soft sounds of the night creatures, and talking. His hand would migrate to MC's thigh for most of the dinner, and when he gets them home... well. He's worshiping them until well into the wee morning hours, for however long they can handle.

Fawn. God, Fawn's questions are really making me think! Hmm. I definitely know she'd steal one of Adontis's finer wines, a sweet red, and would get flowers that remind her of MC to give to them. She'd have them two gifts: a painting she did of them that's probably not one MC would want the general public seeing, but it's not exactly sexual... just shows MC, through and through, how Fawn sees them; and something more utility-wise, like a knife she made herself or something to keep MC from harm. She's not one for romance, but she'd try to make sure MC knew how she feels about them, and would probably ask them what they wanted to do.

HMMMM, what stage is this? Crushing? Middle of the road? I'll do middle of the road.

Blake would probably nearly choke on his beer, but mostly from surprise. He's not been called a boyfriend in goddamn ages, and here is someone he's really wanting to be with yelling that that's what he is. He'd look between MC and the person pestering them, put two and two together, and go into Big Angry Werewolf Sort-Of-Kind-Of-Boyfriend mode. Very scary if you're on the receiving end, I mean, Blake was a biker for pretty much all of his 'human' years, and he never got out of the ruffian habits.

Loche doesn't socialize much, and the boyfriend/girlfriend/partner stuff is still something they're learning. Like, they know the baseline meaning, but hearing MC call them it wouldn't immediately spark something. Instead, they'd read the exasperation on MC's face and the blatant interest on the pesterers... and. Well. Loche is a lot scarier than Blake, as Loche does not go by the normal societal rules, and was instead brought up in a world where if someone is bothering the person you're involved with... well, sometimes it ends in the death of one of them.

Freja would freeze. Statue-level freeze; not a single part of her body would move, except her eyes. Her mind would be running wild, her heart beating rapidly, but her eyes would be taking in the scene before her. And she'd realize what exactly is going on. When her mind can get over the being called "girlfriend" bit, she'll haul ass over in her very prim and elegant manner, and make this annoyance feel lesser than a fly.

Iri would grin IMMEDIATELY. And would not take the aggressive stance. Oh, no, Iri likes a more... fun approach to things. So they'd swagger over, wrap their arm around MC's waist, and kiss their cheek and ask what all the fuss is about. Meanwhile, staring at the annoying person with such a cold look that they feel nailed in place.

Adontis... is a gentleman in all things. Except when the romance between him and MC starts to grow. Then, well, disrespecting MC is like slapping him in the face. And Adontis does not deal well with being disrespected. He'd give MC a warm smile and crook a brow, before coming to tower over the annoying person... and let them get a glimpse of just what his vampiric form can really look like. Needless to say, they'd be scared shitless.

And last but not least in any way, Fawn would not handle this with any grace. No, Fawn is a lot like Loche in her thinking, and the moment she sees how uncomfortable MC is? Her vision is going red. And she's planning to give one threat to the annoying person... and if they don't take the hint? She'll give them an asswhoopin' that they'll be smarting from for months to come. If she doesn't just y'know. /eyes emoji/

MJF Meeting Your ExBoyfriend

I don’t know if there are any TESD Ants/Impractical Jokers Fans reading this but this Q is definitely based on the real Q

Uhhhh of course I wrote this and a whole story for MJF right before his little baby fit 😒

As a kid Max Freeman was bullied for being short, skinny, Jewish, and for his learning disabilities. When he started training to become a professional wrestler, he finally started to like the person he was.

It took some time but eventually his MJF character helped Max become a confident man. Long we’re the days we’re he was insecure and unsure of himself.

So when his girlfriend was invited to a friends wedding where her ex boyfriend would be, he wasn’t worried about it all. After all they weren’t together anymore for a reason.

The day of the wedding he put on his best suit and was in awed of how beautiful his women was. They made it just in time to sit down before the ceremony started.

Cocktail hour was being held in a garden. He was introduced to a lot of his girlfriends friends, Max was charming and friendly. He wanted to make a good impression.

The reception doors were opened and together they found their table. They were sitting down when their table mates started chanting “Q.”

Q was a tall guy with dark features. He came up to the table and said hello to everyone and explained that some people were running late for their shift at the fire station and that’s why he had to miss the ceremony and cocktail hour.

Q walked around the table giving hugs to everyone. Max noticed that his hug with his girl was a little longer than anyone else’s. “Q this is my boyfriend Max. Max this is Brian Quinn, but everyone calls him Q.” The two man shook hands and Max put together that this was his girlfriend’s ex.

She had never referred to him as Q before, but he did know that his name was Brian and was a firman. Through out dinner he listened as the table reminisced about their past. Every time he looked confused at an inside joke, his girlfriend always stoped to explain what was going on. It was one of the reasons why he liked her so much. She was always kind and thoughtful.

The wedding party made their entrance, speeches were made, dinner was served, and being eaten. Max was happy that this wedding food was actually edible and was cutting into his prime rib, when Q started to explain the book he was reading. Something about how speed should actually be measured in different ways and that it moves differently when things are higher in the air and slower when lowered. Than he asked what everybody was reading. His girlfriend loved to read, he had gotten her a kindle and unlimited kindle subscription for her birthday. Max knew he was intelligent, he just didn’t enjoy reading. It took him a long time and sometimes he had to re read pages to grasp what was being said. When his girlfriend slept over in the morning, he would wake up and roll over and see her cuddled up with piper reading. He really liked watching them for a few minutes before starting his day, but they never talked about what she was reading. Would that be something she would want?

Max was thrilled when his girl excused herself from Q to take him to the dance floor. They stayed there until the Newlyweds cut the cake. Together they walked back to the table holding hands. At the table they were talking about how the couple is going to Florida for the honeymoon. Q leans over “remember when we went to Key West and it turned out to be fantasy fest.” He listens to her laugh, max thinks he really likes to hear that, but not when it’s this ex making her laugh. He feels Qs eyes watch his girl yawn and learn against his shoulder. Max can’t help but make a show out of this. A little MJF comes out. He kisses the top of her head and whispers in her eye a little joke about piper they made up earlier. He rubs her thigh where the slit of her dress opens.

He stops when Q ask “so where have you two vacationed at?” Max and her have so many trips planned out, but he hasn’t been able to take her anywhere, he hasn’t even been able to get home and stay more than 2 days in a row. He knows how much she likes adventure and travel. Could she be resenting him right now.

The rest of the night Max is quiet and of course she notices. He is driving back to her family home when she starts to give him different directions. A couple of random turns and a mile down the road they are in a parking lot for a hiking trail. If you blinked you would miss it.

“This was my favorite spot as a kid. And it’s still one of my places in the whole world.” She tells him as she unbuckles her seat belt. Max unbuckles his and pushes his seat back so she can climb into his lap. “I dated Q for almost 2 years and never even told him about it, let alone took him here. Just like I know that if I did tell you about what I was reading you wouldn’t laugh because it was a romance. And I know I rather spend the rest of my life only planning trips with you, than going on actual trips with anybody else.”

“What a stupid fucking nickname?” MJF is back remembering all the ways Q pissed him off. Max remembers he also reminded him of all the ways he liked his girlfriend. No not like. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

10. favorite hockey siblings

oh gosh, i feel very put on the spot by this one. but ultimately in my heart of hearts i think it's the hughes boys. there's such a delightful family dynamic! one of my favorite things to come out of last season was luke going to new jersey and jack immediately becoming jacky again. quinn claiming he doesn't think of himself as much of a big brother while also being the embodiment of a big brother. i particularly love jack and quinn's dynamic and i don't know as much about luke but. very fond of the whole mess of brothers going on over there.

11. favorite bromance

oh i love a friendship. i said this on twitter i think, but one of my favorite things about wedding season is getting to see who's still close enough with whom to be in their wedding! i was delighted to see jordan greenway as one of charlie mcavoy's groomsmen, and that matthew and luke kunin are close enough for matthew to be one of luke's! anyway all this to say that i've been on a real brady/quinn kick lately. those pictures brady posted where standing on either side of him and his wife are matthew and quinn? that clip of quinn looking at him lovingly in the wedding video thing? i'm obsessed. do not hold me to this answer if someone else asks this in three months.

If Jack really had to become the next specialest boy to catch a Q's attention, it should have been Q Junior who came to bother him. They can bond over their daddy issues.

I mean, they have a lot in common. Both of them are a kind of experimental offspring of a father who's pretty legendary in their respective societies, both are trying to prove themselves so hard, both of them have that incredibly cocky personality. And then on top of these similarities there's the added complication of Jr's dad dying for Jack's dad. Even with the revolutions brought to the Q continuum post Quinn/Civil war/Q Jr, I'm guessing that death still isn't a very common thing for Qs to experience, so how would Jr be dealing with Q's death? Now that would be a dynamic that would be interesting to watch.

YAAAA WEEE okok im gonna do answers for jack, storythief, marcus, skullgarden, ryan and quinn... i have not posted abt all of them equally i will admit but now is better then never.  ALSO long post hehe

- does your wizard have a primary school? secondary school? 

jack: storm is the school he got from the book of secrets. he never really branched out because he was in a questing group; everything else was already covered. however, once he got corrupted by shadow magic, it became his secondary.

storythief: got balance from the book of secrets, but she has branched out into life, death, and sun magic.

marcus: got ice from the book of secrets. he has secondaries in life and star, and is slowly learning light magic.

skullgarden: death wizard by choice, though they would have gotten myth from the book. secondary is shadow (corrupted like jack, but on purpose).

ryan: she does not go to ravenwood. she grew up avalon, and learned life magic there. she considers herself a life wizard. she also knows various star, sun, and light magic spells.

quinn: got fire from the book of secrets. xe has secondaries in sun and death.

- what do they think about forbidden magics? should it be taught?

jack: really awesome and cool everyone should use forbidden magic now. come on guys its fine see im alright *has forgotten all childhood memories and every time he uses shadow magic it physically hurts him

storythief: best used in moderation. believes they could be taught, but only to master wizards.

marcus: bad and no. he used to be jack’s best friend. he’s sickened by what it can do to people.

skullgarden: it rocks and yes. they are jack’s current best friend. they love it so much.

ryan: in light there will always be shadows. she understands that both must exist to achieve ‘balance’. shadow and light should be taught just as much as any other magic.

quinn: no strong opinion. all magic has its downsides and even though people dislike shadow magic, others should have the right to learn it.

- how do they feel about merle ambrose? the council of light?

jack: before corruption he really looked up to him. to be recognized by a powerful older wizard felt rewarding. now, he feels a little used and hurt, as ambrose was very quick to dismiss him and expel him from ravenwood. he thinks the council is a bunch of old people who don’t understand the shadow at all.

storythief: her bestie. he lets her get away with things she probably should not. he has been complicit in her ‘big lie’ since the beginning. indifferent to the rest of the council.

marcus: his like of the man is strained, but he still trusts him. he is more comfortable being in ambrose’s company with the rest of the council present. he is friends with greyrose and his adoptive father/mentor is diego.

skullgarden: i hope that old man dies. i hope they all die.

ryan: doesn’t really know him too well, but knew he was important in avalon at one point. she doesn’t see his importance anymore, and feels hurt on her lack of invite to the council. (like come on granpa i am literally an embodiment of light. let me in!!)

quinn: xe’s the human from earth so xe feels a little in debt to him, but kinda wishes ambrose gave him a heads up before pulling xem into the spiral. xe’s chill and friends with the council.

- what kind of wand do they have? what does it say about their fighting styles?

jack: a bow constructed out of a lightning bolt. his spells are cast by shooting a lightning arrow into the sigil. he’s a hard hitter like any other storm, but also a bit of a cheater, sometimes shooting stray arrows to get rid of opponents shields before attacking for real.

storythief: a redish-brown spear inscribed with balance runes that glow went cast. she uses the tip to draw out and cast sigils. she learned how to fight physically in mirage before she learned magic, so she can be a little aggressive. she has been known to throw her spear in combat sometimes. it’s uh, quite effective.

marcus: a dueling sword given to him by diego. he draws out and casts sigils with the tip, similar to storythief. he’s a bit pompous and dramatic, which reflects in how he casts. he does know how to actually duel, and hopes one day to meet one of those “swashbucklers” and have a real match.

skullgarden: a black and white flute wand. very low pitched. (sounds like a deep bass a flute!) they have another ‘flute’, which they have magically modified to play death whistles on. they are calm when casting, and play very slow, mystical songs in an attempt to intimidate opponents. the music is what turns into the sigil, being cast from the songs itself.

ryan: a greenish-blue trident gifted to her by the lady of the lake. after years of use, it has various cracks that glow with light magic. ryan is used to fighting magic battles without a battle circle, so she tends to be more aggressive and stern. she stabs her sigils with the three tips of her trident.

quinn: xe uses a blood moon staff. xe thinks its really cool and parades it around like a trophy. likes doing tricks with it while casting, thinks it makes xem look cooler (it does). spells/magic come out of the moon itself, forming the sigils.

 - do they trust other people right away or are they skeptical at first meeting?

jack: if you’re shadow, welcome new best friend. everyone else is on thin ice, or already on the ‘attack on sight’ list.

storythief: shes been doing this ‘questing’ stuff for years. trust now, get the betrayal out of the way, then beat them up. cycle repeats all too often.

marcus: oooh of course i trust u!! wait why is there a battle sigil outside the cave u just entered ?

skullgarden: just about the same as jack, but theyre a little more open to outsiders, especially those that might be easily swayed into joining the shadow.

ryan: unless your a forest animal or someone seeking help, get out of her sight she will hunt you. only exception is marcus because thats her blorbo from wizard city.

quinn: usually just follows what storythief says. only a few times has xey been like “erin if we trust that man several people will die and one of them might be us”

i guess it would be being batwoman but only because i wrote it as a cliffhanger for the sequel?

i generally always aim for happy endings, but in my opinion the 'happiest' is a crisis of indulgence but only because it's layered with angst. all my fluff pieces are happy throughout so the end doesn't hit as intensely (i think).

only once that i remember: same person on multiple fics. such is life.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

i have tried, but it objectively isn't great so i steer clear of it. this has actually been a conundrum with my latest fic: sauce or no sauce?

i wrote a kate kane + lena luthor one shot once. does that count?

So, Alpha abilities generally manifest between early childhood OR in the tween years. It is not possible to not realize you're an Alpha, or for someone else not to. Even from infancy, Alphas have the distinct eyes and difference in bone and muscle density compared to human babies. Those distinctions only grow as they grow older.

For this year, heh:

Blake is probably going to dress up as an awful take on a Dracula-esque vampire.

Loche is probably going to dress up in whatever Fawn picks out for them, lol. Probably Tony the Tiger.

Freja doesn't dress up normally... but Iri managed to convince her to dress up as Elsa.

Iri is going as werewolf with a very ugly mask. They've also borrowed some of Blake's clothes to dress up like him.

Adontis has so egregiously been forced to dress up as a very warty warlock.

Fawn is going as a cat witch. She's even used her abilities to make the cat ears and tail very life like........

Blake enjoys it. He has a thing for MC smelling like him... and he likes the idea of him smelling like MC, too.

Loche would almost immediately relax, even if they'd been soaking wet. MC's scent calms them, comforts them.

Freja wouldn't have much of a reaction, other than to think MC smells nice.

Iri would be similar to Freja.

Adontis would smile, but wouldn't think much of it.

Fawn would be like Blake, but would also be unconsciously snuggling into it.

Listen, Quinn's used to it, lol. He's been called 'old man' by MC since they hit the awful teen years. He doesn't care at this point, and is actually worried if he doesn't hear it.

HAHAHA, his doctor has told him to. He just hasn't heeded the... 'suggestion' as he puts it.
