Hey guys! I’m looking to find someone who’s good at meshing, frankenmeshing and making glass work for create a sim!

I’m trying to make a space helmet with a glass visor for personal use but I’m completely stuck and am unsure of how to make the glass work in ts4.

Anyone who can help would be much appreciated!

Another thought on Gortash never using Durge's name in documents, even though he presumably knows it: maybe he never uses it in anything someone else could read because they're not supposed to have one.

I mean, they were created to be an embodiment of Bhaal's will. There's a reason that their default name is literally just "The Dark Urge" and that that's how they remember themself even if you give them a different name. Why would Bhaal name his glorified meat puppet? And if he didn't I doubt anyone within his cult would for fear it'd piss him off. It's entirely possible Durge only has a name because someone from outside the temple (their foster family, some friend or lover they had in the past, Gortash himself...) gave them one, or because they chose to name themself whether Bhaal liked it or not in a moment of rebellion. If that's the case it would make sense for Durge to keep their name quiet, which it turn would make Gortash refusing to use it in any documentation that other people could see and definitely not using it in his memoir make a lot more sense than it does if it's just... a name.

It also makes Durge telling Gortash their name an actual big deal. If this is something they shouldn't have (because they're not actually supposed to be a person), then there's a fair chance that Bhaal wouldn't appreciate them introducing themself like a normal person rather than the destined harbinger of Bhaal's apocalyptic designs. But... there they are, telling Bane's Chosen their name. The name Bhaal did not want them to have. Even if Bhaal decides not to make a fuss about that, there's a fair chance they'd be worried he would. Whether you play it as them taking a risk right out the gate to really solidify their alliance at the start (with Gortash not realizing until later what a big deal that was) or them keeping their name to themself for a while and only sharing it with Gortash once they trust him (in which case he knows what a big deal it is right away), the concept of Durge's name actually being something they have a reason to keep quiet about and then choose to give to Gortash is both very good shipping fuel and creates a solid reason for him to not share that name with the world. After all, it was a gift that Durge gave to him as a show of trust. It would be a betrayal to share it with the world, especially after their apparent death.

it's so funny (read: sad) that if bigoted fuckheads didn't insist i was a woman simply by virtue of my body at birth, i'd probably be chill with she/her pronouns in addition to he/they. if my mom didn't insist i was her daughter, i'd probably let her call me that, and we could still have a relationship.

i'm nonbinary and 'gendered' words are hypothetically meaningless, but because there are so many people who are more interested in telling me who i am rather than lovingly and curiously letting me express my own sense of self, those words carry trauma.

there's no reason a nonbinary person like myself can't be a son and a child and a daughter. there's no reason a nonbinary person like me can't go by he, they, and she.

'she' is not a slur. 'daughter' is not derogatory. 'beautiful' 'pretty' 'gorgeous' 'feminine' are not insults.

to the contrary, they're parts of language that express certain facets of a multi-faceted human existence, like mine.

and i have this sad, mournful feeling that if it weren't for unloving, condescending people, i'd probably be down to be called any of those things alongside my usual masculine/neutral terminology.

but i'd rather die than let anyone tell me what i have to be called.

thanks for your question! it is SO not weird at all i really enjoy stuff like this. actually i am going to go on a huge ramble that goes on a little tangent so like. LONG POST AHEAD!!!! be warned!!!!!

anyways. azul is always confessing his romantic feelings for jamil whether he knows it or not. in every interaction. because he's so damn obvious. hope this helps LOL

in all seriousness though. i really like to think that azul is kind of cursed to be a hopeless romantic despite it going against all of his pragmatic sense. i mean. he's a child of divorce who hates leaving things up to chance and he believes in getting something back whenever he gives something away. being head over heels with someone goes against his whole nature, so i think it's definitely a new thing for him. he won't recognize that his feelings are romantic right away because he'll be too busy trying to justify to himself why he's investing so much time and energy into a guy that Clearly wants nothing to do with him and won't give him the time of day. its business, guys, i swear.... stonks.....

i think once he does come to terms with it though. it starts leaking through in Every Interaction he has w/jamil. in every encounter, azul basically ends up saying I Love You without actually ever speaking it out loud. whether it's through his actions (like getting jamil gifts / offering to help out without any genuine expectation of repayment) or or his words (like implying things about them being good together / complimenting jamil excessively). things he did before he realized, but they just have so much more Weight to them now that he Knows he likes the other in a very Non-Platonic-Business-Partners way. he doesn't intend for it to have that emotional weight but its fucking impossible for him to hide and he does NOT know what to do with himself.

he keeps pushing forward regardless because some part of him hopes that his feelings will reach jamil but he also does it with the expectation that jamil will push back like he always has and that's completely fine by him because never actually directly admitting that these feelings are romantic means that the rejections also stay platonic and that is. Way easier to bounce back from. because god forbid jamil sees at who he is behind all the walls he's put up to protect his most vulnerable and emotional self and ends up hating the real azul too.

tl;dr: i don't think azul would go out of his way to make a real, honest confession of his feelings. but he's so obvious it actually hurts to watch

ok so. as for jamiazu get-together:

maybe im like super biased b/c im a sucker for narratives that involve jamil learning to shake his passivity and going ahead and Taking what he wants. but i always think that any scenario where jamiazu gets together has to be initiated by jamil somehow. azul can make the first move and several moves after that but jamil has to be the one to make the Final move if that makes sense.

i don't have like. one set get-together scenario but i have a couple that i like to rotate in my head sometimes. most of them involve azul being a failgirl and getting caught off guard because i think it's funny and jamil also thinks it's funny. here are two for your viewing pleasure:

azul makes a pass at jamil that is romantic-coded but could be interpreted as platonic. jamil seizes the opportunity to turn it Explicitly into a romantic thing and fluster azul to no end about it.

Unlikely Friends AU if you'd like to call it anything.

When Vlad got blasted by the prototype portal and was hospitalized, the future Fenton couple worked their asses off to cure the Ecto-acne, stayed close friends and were always in contact. This helped Vlad to not feel isolated, gave time to accept Maddie's new relationship and move on.

He discovered his ghost powers soon after his discharge from the hospital.

To say that he was freaked out was an understatement of a century. But he didn't want to trouble Maddie and Jack and made a decision to was scared to tell keep quiet. He kept the portal that cursed his life and worked on it separately. Be as it may between them, he no longer trusted a lab space with the Fentons in it.

He felt so hollow. Something was always missing. Being around Jack and Maddie made that pain worse.

That resulted in his portal working WAY sooner than that of the Fenton couple. He was even about to tell them! But...

The first ghost he ever actually encountered was the Dairy King. (Yes, Vlad is still a shady as hell billionaire here. Can't change the Core of the person) The Ghost was a little underwhelming but also extremely endearing to Vlad.

The Fentons wouldn't understand. They were both extremely intelligent but headstrong people. They would not change their ways. The permanent access to the Portal would put him and other Ghosts in danger.

So he kept quiet.

Years passed. He would often take trips to the Ghost Zone, or The Infinite Realms as the Ghost called it, and learn. About himself, his powers, their customs, their ways of thinking. He'd make friends with a few and enemies/sparing buddies with others.

A year into his Ghostly existence, he learnt what the hollowness was.

His Obsession. It wanted Kinship. It wanted people he felt safe around. He wanted family he could call his own. He wanted to be understood.

The Ghosts fullfilled it in a way he didn't know was possible. He loved, secretly, being a part of their community.

But no-one fully understood him.

His human needs would make them confused. Their more Ghostly ways were very hard to comprehend. The Ghost speak was a pain to learn.

So when, 20 years after the accident, he met the young Daniel at his doorstep and Saw him, he latches onto the young, green Halfa.

On that night, he came to him and offered mentorship. He may have been a little too pushy and scared the teen, earning the permanent moniker Fruitloop for his troubles.

But he managed to build up some trust when he did his best to help with some Ghost fights.

Vlad would dare to even say that they were becoming friends. The teen was highly entertaining to be around. It was freeing. He could joke, poke and talk to him almost about anything. Danny soon began doing the same.

The Dan incident was horrifying. It brought them closer. It also opened up a lot of teasing material for both sides. (Don't judge. That's how they cope)

Pariah Dark was released by an annoying Box Ghost by accident. They worked together to bring the Tirant down. Young Danny, with the help of his Father's suit, landed the final hit.

Danielle... was a terrifying but welcome accident. Vlad and Danny were doing some experiments on the Ectoplasm and how it effected different stages of the DNA. It was quite fun.

They didn't expect to accidentally clone a full Halfa of Danny when they were messing around.

Danny got a godsister. Vlad got to be a Father in the most unconventional but perfect way.
