Natalia Andreeva
Aka Natalia A, Danica Jewels.
Beautiful and that body is just terrific - especially loving her #bigtits . . . She mostly just does soft porn 😞 - but at least she’s done a lot!
There are a couple of scenes out there where she does a bit of hardcore - I thought at first it was fake, but it’s real: Oral + some rather gross F:M rimming on a bunch of super fat guys.
She looks a bit freaked out by the rimming, but happy enough with a face full of 💦 . . . but I can’t really recommend any of it - It’s that super crappy Russian porn that looks like it was shot in some Babushka’s Soviet era apartment on a Nokia.
Pro tip: In this case there’s more 👋 mileage in her soft stuff!

HOW DO ASTRONOMERS DETECT EXOPLANETS AND DETERMINE IF THEY COULD SUPPORT LIFE??
Blog#335
Wednesday, September 27th, 2023
Welcome back,
On March 21, NASA announced the confirmation of the 5,000th planet outside our Solar System. From scorching-hot gas giants nestled near their parent star to rocky worlds that may host water on their surface, there’s a variety for scientists to study.
But finding these strange new worlds is a science in itself.
Tumblr media
We’ve only been able to definitively detect planets of any kind for a few decades, and even at that, there are challenges in detecting such a small object at that distance in even the most powerful telescopes.
Inverse spoke with Marie-Eve Naud, an exoplanet researcher and outreach coordinator for the University of Montreal’s Institute for Research on Exoplanets, to tell us more about how astronomers find these worlds and the considerations for each method.
Tumblr media
While there are numerous methods, the ones cited below are the most common.
THE TRANSIT METHOD
Astronomers have discovered most exoplanets using the transit method, notably with NASA's Kepler telescope launched in 2009. This method observes planets as they pass in front of their stars, causing a slight dimming of starlight, which photometers can detect. This approach works best in space due to minimal atmospheric interference, favored by missions like ESA's Cheops and NASA's TESS.
Tumblr media
To confirm exoplanets, multiple transits are necessary to rule out sunspots or dust as causes of light fluctuations. Typically, two or three transits are required to gather substantial data.
Once a planet is detected, astronomers can estimate its radius, while mass is often determined through the radial velocity method. The combination of mass and radius helps classify a planet as rocky or gaseous, impacting its potential habitability.
Tumblr media
Factors like proximity to an active star and radiation levels also affect habitability assessments, as seen with TRAPPIST-1's uncertain habitability despite hosting seven Earth-sized planets in its habitable zone.
RADIAL-VELOCITY METHOD
The radial velocity method is commonly used to discover planets, particularly with instruments like HARPS at the European Southern Observatory’s La Silla 3.6m telescope in Chile.
Tumblr media
Planets and stars both orbit around their center of mass. A star with a planet exhibits a slight motion. Multiple planets can lead to complex motions.
This method involves analyzing the star's spectrum. When the star approaches, its light shifts towards red due to compression. When it moves away, the light shifts towards blue.
Tumblr media
The planet's motion slightly affects the star's spectrum, creating a "barcode" of the star.
The first detection of a planet around a Sun-like star using this method was in 1995 when Didier Queloz and Michel Mayor found 51 Pegasi b. Prior to that, in 1992, planets were detected around pulsar PSR B1257+12, using changes in the pulsar's radio signal. This showcases the diverse scientific approaches to discovering distant worlds.

Zombie Planets:
Draugr : PSR B1257+12 b, alternatively designated PSR B1257+12 A, also named Draugr, is an extrasolar planet approximately 2,300 light-years away[ in the constellation of Virgo. The planet is the innermost object orbiting the pulsar PSR B1257+12, making it a pulsar planet in the dead stellar system. It is about twice as massive as the Moon, and is listed as the least massive planet (with the mass accurately determined) known, including among the planets in the Solar System. Poltergeist : PSR B1257+12 c, alternatively designated PSR B1257+12 B, also named Poltergeist, is an extrasolar planet approximately 2,300 light-years away in the constellation of Virgo. It was one of the first planets ever discovered outside the Solar System, and is one of three pulsar planets known to be orbiting the pulsar PSR B1257+12.Over four times as massive as the Earth,  it circles the primary at a distance of 0.36 AU with an orbital period of approximately 66 days. Because it and Phobetor have very similar masses and orbit close to each other, they were expected to cause measurable perturbations in each other's orbits. Detecting such perturbations confirmed that the planets were real. Accurate masses of the two planets, as well as their inclinations, were calculated from how much the planets perturb each other. Phobetor: PSR B1257+12 C, alternatively designated PSR B1257+12 d and also named Phobetor, is a super-Earth exoplanet orbiting the pulsar PSR B1257+12 approximately 2,315 light-years (710 parsecs; 22 quadrillion kilometres) away from Earth in the constellation of Virgo. It was one of the first planets ever discovered outside the Solar System. It was discovered using the pulsar timing method, where the regular pulses of a pulsar are measured to determine if there is a planet causing variations in the data.

Today I figured I'd rant about a mech that's dangerously, frustratingly close to being good. In the winter of 3049 as the Clan Invasion crashed into the Draconis Combine, Coordinator Takashi Kurita demanded the Combine's remaining manufacturing bases make good the losses the DCMS had suffered fighting again the extra-spheroid invaders. Enter one Nimakachi Fusion Products Limited, a Free Worlds based dropship and light battlemech manufacturer with a significant presence in Combine space. Nimakachi ramped up their Spider production lines significantly to meet the DCMS's demand for new mechs, but the company also saw an opportunity to expand and produce a new design in-house that would serve as a more combat oriented version of the venerable jumping scout mech. To that end, they designed the Venom
5 tons heavier than it's original inspiration and model code namesake, the SDR-9K Venom is an attempt to answer a fairly frustrating problem posed by newly discovered lostech- namely the range issues of inner sphere pulse lasers. With half the range of their clantech equivalents, ISPLs end up frequently underperforming even their standard counterparts at anything more than absolute shoved-down-your-throat, see-the-whites-of-the-enemy-mech-pilot's-eyes ranges. Now, Namikachi clearly decided that made them perfect for attaching to their bulked up Spider chassis, using its impressively quick 8/12/8 speed to rapidly close and find chinks in the enemy's armor before jumping away to cover. Unfortunately, despite their extensive use of lostech in their new mech's design, NFPL appears to have poached a couple of engineers from Luthien Armor Works, because when they were building a cooling system for the Venom they chose to sabotage their new design with three words: single heat sinks.
Tumblr media
Reader, the SDR-9K builds 16 heat on an alpha strike, 24 if it jumps, and every turn it sinks 12. A venom pilot must choose to either seriously expose herself for at least one turn every time they fire their weapons (something she's unlikely to do, considering the mech's paltry 3.5 tons of armor), or more likely spend 2 or 3 turns away from the fight every time they dive in for a strike simply cooling off as they jump around. Attemping to find a bright spot here- the weapons all being located in the center torso makes the design reasonably handy as a light fist fighter, meaning that even when it's blazing hot it still has some means of defending itself up close between dives at someone's rear torsos.
Despite this serious cooling flaw, a mix of the DCMS's existing homicidal tendencies towards its pilots, the efficacy of the Venom as both a rapid response and hit and run platform with low maintenance costs, and likely a healthy does of 'any port in a storm' mentality, the Combine was elated with the design and ordered them by the company in 3050 as pirate interdiction mechs on the fringes of their territory.
Tumblr media
Now, despite the deeply troubled original design, the Venom does have some variants that might make it better, so let's run those down really quick. The SDR-9KA takes out one of the torso lasers and replaces it with two tons of armor. While no longer capable of delivering a PSR on its own, this variant does beat the original at least *somewhat* in heat management while also being able to take a PPC/Clan Large Laser to any component before needing to take a crit check.
Tumblr media
The SDR-KB is more of the same, but it lowers the heat load even further by adding in a 13th heat sink (yay!), pulling 2 of the jump jets (boo!), and replacing a pulse laser with a machine gun, a ton of ammo, and a ton of extra armor. While this does mean we finally have a variant capable of firing all its guns and moving without burning out the pilot, the presence of the massive torso bomb in conjunction with the slower air speed and thin armor means that this variants staying power is likely wasted in most engagements where it will be more easily disabled or killed.
Tumblr media
Finally, because it's a Combine adjacent design, we have the SDR-9KC which is a c3 design. Similar to the 9KA, it pulls a pulse laser for some extra weight to play with, as well as upgrading the chassis to endosteel to make room for the telemetry computer. Unfortunately the cuts don't end there, as Namikachi's mech also pulled out one of the mech's precious double heat heat sinks for even more additional armor. Wait, double heat sinks? Hallelujah yes! Someone finally made the really obvious choice and gave the Venom proper freezers, meaning after 16 years it's finally capable of regularly firing all its guns and jumping. The final 7 tons of armor means the 9KC is also surprisingly tough for its speed and weight, capable of shrugging off most weapons short of a gauss rifle to any off its components with armor left to spare.
Sarna tells me there's another variant, the 9KE, which is armed with an ER laser, ER flamer, mine and remote sensor dispensers, and a partial wing, but Flechs doesn't have a nice sheet for it and dark age tech scares and confuses me. If you want a kooky little scout for your missile carrier company that can annoy attackers with mined roads, this might be it but YMMV.
Tumblr media
Despite my ragging on it, I quite like the Venom as a design and an idea. Pulse laser jumpy boys are a favorite niche design type of mine, and when given the cooling they need to succeed, they can be fairly menacing little bastards. It also just looks plain cool with the pointy Ming the Merciless-esque shoulder bads and vectoring fins. With even the 9KC coming in comfortably well under 900 bv, they're cheap additions to the cavalry/exploitation arms of your lances to run alongside things like Wolverines and their bigger brother, the Wraith. Definitely worth a try at keast once if you own a Spider and play in Civil War or later!

Dear Saturday,
It's good to see you again. I don't know how many of you I have left, but remission's holding steady. I'll have my results in two weeks, and if I'm still negative it will be 11 months. I've been a little busier than usual. My day job and the paid gig, plus that kidney stone took a whack at me.
On the Money
The paid gig is panning out, and I just handed in the last one for the year. They're happy with my work, but OMFG I am never writing porn in fandom again.
In talking with a friend, I compared it to my summer job in my hometown ice cream shop. It sounds like a dream job until you actually do it. I didn't touch ice cream again until my mid-twenties. Besides, this is writing to spec, I get very little say in the content and have to stick to the outline. Think of it as working in an ice cream shop and never getting to eat a flavor you like, but are instead served nothing but banana splits made with rum raisin, bubblegum, and tutti frutti ice cream, topped with crushed maraschino cherries. The company's given up on AI completely so far as written content, it's just unworkable with results either laughable, incomprehensible, or appalling.
Do they even make rum raisin ice cream any longer?
In any case, between last year and this year, my medical expenses out of pocket are $35,000. That's with donations. I've been lucky that my boss supported me by paying my rent for six months and I had a load of unused PTO. I need to stuff that back into savings stat, and my PPO premiums are going up by $100 this year. I need five more novels to get even, then three more to cover my premiums for the year. I also want to cover my out-of-pocket, up to $9k from $7k. My paycheck needs to cover basics, and I do not want to tap savings more than strictly necessary.
In the Kitchen
It's Thanksgiving this coming Thursday, and it's one I did not expect to see. I didn't do holidays last year. I laid in bed with my incisions and ileostomy bag, and I slept. Today was cooking day, and I've had a busy morning 5-cheese tortellini with peas and mushrooms. Roasted Italian sausages. Also made egg-roll-inna-bowl. My Thanksgiving menu is duck leg and thigh confit, with a Caesar salad, wild rice and mushroom soup, potatoes roasted in duck fat, and pumpkin mousse.
If you like duck and have a sous vide, making duck or goose confit is easy. Put the leg-and-thigh in a sous vide or ziplock bag with salt, pepper, garlic powder, PSR&T and sous vide for at least 12 hours. Duck and goose have enough fat that you don't need to add much additional fat, and that yummy fat is great for roasting the potatoes. The longer you cook it, the more tender the meat. Take it out and run under the broiler to crisp it up.
Horizontally
The housework and cooking done, it's cool, grey, and raining. I've made the couch into a nest, partly claimed by the kitties. It's time to read and drink peppermint hot chocolate. I've been reading Susan Gulbar's 'Memoir of a Debulked Woman' and have Patrick Keefe's 'Empire of Pain' queued. Aside from Thrawn and Star Wars in general, my tastes run to nonfiction, I have a lot of Thrantovember catching up to so, but... bed so soft, kitties so enticing, and books awaiting me.

WEEK #5 Update (Feb 12 - Feb 18)
(Posted today, Feb 19th)
Aloha everyone,
This week makes it a month since I’ve been posting to my fan account for TS. Also a little over a month since I’ve been “in” the fandom as a whole.
Reflection / Hiccups
When it comes to my PSR with TS, I would say that I am somewhere between the first stage (entertainment-social) and the second stage (intense-personal). Last week I mentioned that the main thing that is preventing me from progressing on is time management. However, another factor has also come to light, which is values.
My personal values do not entirely align with TS’ outside of her artistry – there’s a handful of criticisms that I have conjured up after being in her fandom for a month now. So in that sense, it is hard for me right now to want to defend her the way Swifities within the intense-personal stage do.
PSR
But other than that, what I wrote about last semester still remains to be true – social media has definitely exacerbated PSRs between fans and personas.
As I previously mentioned, I have actively been in the Swiftie fandom for a month now, so I have been able to see just how obsessed and defensive TS’ fans can be. With everything that has happened with the Grammy’s, Superbowl, and other situations in between, Swifties will almost blindly go to war for TS. That being said, if my values did align more with TS, I could see myself already being in that kind of head space – but it’s honestly difficult right now.
Progress
Much to my surprise, I now have over one hundred followers on Instagram. I still need to write the questions, but, I want to put up a poll or survey towards the end of this project to gather stats directly from Swifities. For this reason, I have been extremely adamant about posting on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to gain more followers and increase my engagement.
And in regards to my content, now that I have the basics down with TS, I am kind of just posting what I want based on random / new things about TS.
VISIT MY ACCOUNT!
You can visit @wenaswiftie to view my progress.
NOTE: At this time, I will not be following anyone from our class back because I do not want my followers to know quite yet that this is a personal social experiment. I will be switching from a ‘fan account’ to posting about my progress with PSRs towards the end of the semester

Elsa Jean
At the risk of stretching an analogy she’s like one of those solar planes: skinny little body, huge giant wings 🤣
Actually in most respects she is a bit bland - and getting her tits ‘n’ lips done didn’t help either . . . BUT . . . as regular viewers will know I am very fond of a meaty snatch and while Elsa is in most respects pretty vanilla her growler is anything but!
It’s not of course possible to do this butchers shop of a lady garden justice on Tumblr, but trust me it’s a 🥩 treat. For sure she’s not as thick and dangling as Sarah Kay, and certainly not the offal cart pile-up that is Sheena Shaw but very fat & tasty looking never the less 😋!
At the moment I think she is trying to re-position herself as a media personality under her real name (Sapphire Howell) rather than a porn star so, as ever, good luck with that!
Pro tip: she’s done a bit of anal - her scene with Ariana Marie is pretty good but I would actually recommend her ‘Girl Tagging’ Movie with the Amirah Adara MILF lookalike Reena Sky - I do like it when the girls use their lippy to write trash on each other!

Mars Tips the Scales ~ 19 Aug 2023
Mars Tips the Scales ~ 19 Aug 2023, Philip Sedgwick
Before you know it, on 27 August, Mars puts the meadows of Virgo in the rearview mirror and enters Libra. Some may declare this an era of peace, pacification, negotiation and diplomacy. On the polarity of extreme optimism these qualities may emerge... typically after the results of Mars doing Mars things while romping through the sign opposite one of the signs he rules.
Tumblr media
Actually, there is a level of compatibility with Mars in Libra. The sign of the scales, implying justice, equalization and fairness honestly loves a good fight. Within the alleged fondness for confrontation inherent in Libra, the end game of securing a valid and appropriate place for all to exist and with adequate manifestation of needs is held as the justifying banner for any and all tense engagement.
Will global negotiations for peace break out or will the ominous build up of Wagner forces in Belarus be a thing? Can the actors and writers work it out with studio heads and streamer bosses? Can each person in the world actually secure more of what they want (and crave) during the weeks of this transit? Given other Martian transits in play and with those planetary engagements properly applied, the forecast leans toward the affirmative.
Early on in the Mars in Libra era, on 9 September, Mars moves into exact conjunction with the dwarf planet, Makemake. The closest contact Makemake makes with the Sun virtually aligns with the Jupiter closest solar contact, these points in Aries. The heliocentric north node of Makemake spots the ecliptic in Gemini. The combo of Makemake’s orbital elements promotes two agendas: Believe your own hype; and evaluate your religion and philosophy to ensure it serves you well.
With Mars transiting, the note is to absorb the sound of uttered affirmations into the core of the being. When you declare what you are supposed to be, ensure it rings true in your center of gravity. If it does not, take time out to absorb all elements of you as proclaimed on your social media profiles into your spiritual awareness. Eliminate any and all inconsistencies. Mars also asks for an honest review of all things that your beliefs/theology demand you do. Does tithing make sense? Is your six hours of daily chanting working out for you? Do your meditations restore peace within or arouse the sensation of wasting time? Line up the sights such that your aim is true and your propitiation consistent with real world demands on your life.
On the same day Mars mixes it up with Makemake, he conjoins the curious pulsar PSR 1257+12. Why is this pulsar deserving of inquisitive inspection? Years ago, this spinning neutron star confirmed that objects outside our solar system may hold planets in their gravitational grasp. In fact, this pulsar holds three extra-solar planets in its realm. The reason this never made big news is that a neutron star does not offer up what it takes to sustain life as we know it. There is not a Goldilocks Zone of “simply perfect, just right” to sustain life on the pulsar’s satellites.
However, this neutron star, with its planetary trifecta in early Libra, offers up interesting observations. Perhaps there is always a third choice beyond those factors perceived as black and white, up and down, yin and yang. Maybe the three prongs on an electrical plug imply that current flow may not entirely be defined by the negative and positive poles... at least acknowledge that while going with the flow, electron or otherwise, it remains necessary to stay grounded and centered, thus the need for the third prong.
In Libra time, options and considerations oscillate back and forth on the scales, presumably leaning toward decisions. What if neither of the options considered offers an emotionally satisfying outcome? Suggests the implication of Mars to PSR 1257+12, deciding not to decide between the options in conscious awareness in any given moment, is a valid decision. Should one comb through the recent passage of Mars in Virgo, perhaps a few factoids linger that may help to clarify matters. If not, with Mars here, it is cool to declare that no advancement in options present shall be pursued. Should the Universe be cool with that, how about you?
Even if limbo status prevails for a few weeks, that’s still cool. On 24 September, Mars in Libra opposes Chiron in Aries. More than likely someone you know and appreciate declares something stinging about your ability (or inability) to accomplish the tasks at hand. While reaction to what is perceived as an insult runs strong, protest not. Instead, work to ensure that anything more that may be required of you can be learned, acquired, accomplished or infused is pursued. When you realize any noted deficiency has been resolved, move forward with a wink at the party that insulted you, then turn with grace, determination and decorum to the tasks at hand. The infusion of good feeling spreads warmth throughout the being, which is the very essence of healing itself.
On 03 October Mars opposes both the north lunar node and Eris who seem to be locked in a perpetual time sharing in late Aries. Take some time to assess where you naturally fit in and where you want to be included. Then redefine how these fits contribute to your soulful well being and if they further your path. Should any new fits appear for consideration, determine the qualifications for such a perfect fit and compare that with your current cut. Adjust anything that may need to be tweaked for inclusion. Also, should anything no longer serve your means, it’s okay to cut it loose. Start simple, like with your social media profiles. Is the gain commensurate with time expended to keep these things going?
As Mars prepares to wrap up his stint in Libra, on 08 October he squares Pluto in Capricorn. While Mars-Pluto is often given a bad rap, remember they each co-rule Scorpio. In this case, Scorpio is the next sign Mars engages. This transit provides an energy/power axis assessment. Consider all options for your personal engagement, regardless of scale. Ask yourself a few poignant interrogatives:
Do you possess passion for the proposed endeavor? Would you have to give up privacy or personal elements of your life to engage? If so, are you willing to so engage regardless? Do you possess the grit and gumption for a long-haul grind as implied? How large do you want your scale in life to be? Does this fit with and drive your soul forward?
Based upon the answers to the above, take a little time to trim your energy and stabilize your personal thrust. Remember that powerful, productive transits abound overhead. When Mars dives into the deep end of Scorpio, hoist your anchor and commence advancing!
More soon.
The collective energies resonate with progress and evolution. If any personal reset or adjustment may be required, there is nothing like a consultation(s) that includes dwarf planets and galactic energies to perfect alignment. The links below will get you to pages for purchasing consultations, Galactic Reports, asking questions to fill in blanks and more. A reach to the mouse may be the ideal ticket to align personal energies with the aspects above. There’s no time like now!

“In 1926, the havoc wreaked by rail strikes led to the federal government passing the Railway Labor Act to give itself the power to impose labor settlements on the rail industry. The Biden administration used this authority to broker a tentative labor agreement that would ensure a 24 percent pay increase by 2024, annual $1,000 bonuses and a freeze on rising health care costs. But workers would be permitted only one paid personal day and no paid sick leave. Of 12 unions voting on the deal, four of them — representing 56 percent of union membership in the industry — refused to ratify it. Biden signed the legislation into law on Friday.
The railroad barons refuse to permit sick days because they have stripped the railroads down to skeleton crews in a process known as precision scheduled railroading, or PSR. In essence, no spare labor is available, which is why the reduced labor force is subjected to such punishingly short periods of time off and onerous working conditions.
Class struggle defines human history. We are dominated by a seemingly omnipotent corporate elite. Hostile to our most basic rights, this elite is disemboweling the nation; destroying basic institutions that foster the common good, including public schools, the postal service and health care; and is incapable of reforming itself. The only weapon left to thwart this ongoing pillage is the strike. Workers have the collective power to slash profits and cripple industry, which is why the ruling class has gone to such lengths to defang unions and outlaw strikes. A rail freight strike, it is estimated, would cost the U.S. economy $2 billion a day, with daily losses increasing the longer a strike continued.
The few unions that remain — only 10.7 percent of the workforce is unionized — have been largely domesticated, demoted into obsequious junior partners in the capitalist system. As of January 2022, private-sector unionization stood at its lowest point since the passage of the National Labor Relations Act of 1935. And yet, 48 percent of U.S. workers say they would like to belong to a union.

“We Americans are not usually thought to be a submissive people, but of course we are,” Wendell Berry wrote. “Why else would we allow our country to be destroyed? Why else would we be rewarding its destroyers? Why else would we all — by proxies we have given to greedy corporations and corrupt politicians — be participating in its destruction? Most of us are still too sane to piss in our own cistern, but we allow others to do so, and we reward them for it. We reward them so well, in fact, that those who piss in our cistern are wealthier than the rest of us. How do we submit? By not being radical enough. Or by not being thorough enough, which is the same thing.”
All the advances we made in the early 20th century through union strikes, government regulation, the New Deal, a fair tax code, the courts, an alternative press and mass movements have been reversed. The oligarchs are turning American workers — as they did in the 19th century steel and textile factories — into serfs, kept in check by onerous anti-union laws, militarized police, the world’s largest prison system, an electoral system dominated by corporate money and the most pervasive security and surveillance apparatus in human history.
The rich, throughout history, have subjugated and re-subjugated the populations they control. And the public, throughout history, has awakened to the class war waged by the oligarchs and plutocrats and revolted. Let us hope that defying Congress, freight railroad workers carry out a strike. A strike will at least expose the fangs of the ruling class, the courts, law enforcement and the National Guard, much as they did during labor unrest in the 20th century, and broadcast a very public message about whose interests they serve. Besides, a strike might work. Nothing else will.”
“The conditions faced by workers in the retail, retail support and logistics industries are harsh and often punishing during the holidays, as they are expected to work long shifts, extra hours and face expectations of fast turnaround. Public facing retail workers are also at risk of abuse and even assault from customers, who find themselves frustrated when problems with supply chains and understaffing lead to less-than-optimal customer service.
In addition, most workers do not have adequate pay. And all this, while many workers in non-unionized sectors lack a voice at work and may be paid as little as $7.25 an hour, the federal minimum wage. While large employers like Amazon set a $15 minimum wage that pressured other employers to raise their wages, many retail workers in the U.S. still make less than $15/hour, including the majority of big box and discount retail workers, according to data from the Economic Policy Institute. These low wages continue despite the difficulties that employers face in recruiting and retaining workers in our tight labor market.
(…)
Workers face challenges to creating a more humane system during the holidays, but they are not solely victims. In fact, workers continue to fight back through organizing, job actions, coalitions with community groups and work with unions.
The Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) has worked to strengthen the bargaining position of workers in the broader retail industry through various organizing projects. This includes the international day of action, Make Amazon Pay, during which workers in Amazon warehouses all over the world engaged in actions ranging from walkouts to protests. Eighty unions in 32 countries (including many European countries where workers have better protections) participated in actions targeting Amazon. Workers organized another dozen actions in the United States, including protests in front of Jeff Bezos’s penthouse in New York City, and a picket line at the Bessemer, Alabama, facility.
In addition, RWDSU continues to work with community groups and workers centers to improve the lives of warehouse and other non-unionized workers, through efforts such as New York State’s Warehouse Workers Protection Act, which passed the state legislature in June 2022. This historic legislation would create baseline workplace protections and safety standards for all larger warehouse employers. As Chelsea Connor, director of communications from RWDSU told Truthout, “RWDSU has a long history of working to protect non-unionized workers. We have been working and we continue to work with community groups to improve the conditions for all workers.”
(…)
While Teamsters and other unionized workers enjoy protections under their contracts, this has not necessarily trickled through the industry. UPS drivers, who are Teamsters members, have gained many protections for themselves over the years, including the right to opt out of forced overtime. Unionized workers can freely speak up at work, push back against speed ups, and voice concerns about health and safety. But this is not the case across the industry. As Rand Wilson, a longtime organizer with TDU, told Truthout, “Workers with pretty identical conditions at an Amazon facility, without a union contract … they do what they are told or they can get fired.””
“Outside the south entrance of the hospital, nurses held a press conference, speaking out against their employer after their paid-leave benefits for bereavement, jury duty, and military service were terminated.
(…)
According to a Maine State Nurses Association release, no other employees at the hospital lost these benefits. A spokesperson for Maine Medical Center confirmed no changes to paid time off, including leaves, were made for employees not covered by the union's collective bargaining agreement.
(…)
Many speakers at the event said the decision to terminate their benefits was "illegal" as it related to labor laws.
(…)
This news comes as the capacity at Maine Medical Center is almost full. One factor is a lack of beds at long-term care facilities in Maine, meaning patients stay at the hospital waiting for a bed. The hospital spokesperson said there are about 70 patients waiting for discharge to a long-term facility on any given day.”

Note
Im fine, glad youre great Nocturnal, this'll be the last planet for today Nocturnal
We, humans, have been discovering planets around sun-like stars for 20 years, but we’ve known of planets outside our solar system for a little longer, they just happened to be radically different than any kind of solar system we’d conceived of, like, lets say around the remnant of a supernova!
The first exoplanet discovered still holds the record for being the least massive. PSR "B1257+12 A" also called "PSR B1257+12 b" is barely bigger than the moon, orbiting the harsh environment of a pulsar star, the planets in the system were discovered in 1994 by the tug they gave on their home star
Pulsar stars are known as cosmic timekeepers, sometimes called the “most accurate clocks in the universe” But something was making the beat of PSR B1257+12 just a little off, then thats when it was determined that the culprits in question were two planets, including this one, and a third was later found, and claims to a fourth were made and subsequently retracted

VIRGO (august 23- september 22)
gentle ~ organised ~ independent
Virgo, (Latin: “Virgin”) in astronomy, zodiacal constellation lying in the southern sky between Leo and Libra, at about 13 hours right ascension and 2° south declination. The constellation’s brightest star, Spica (Latin for “head of grain,” also called Alpha Virginis), is the 15th brightest star in the sky, with a magnitude of 1.04. Virgo contains the nearest large cluster of galaxies, the Virgo cluster, in which is located the giant elliptical galaxy Virgo A and PSR 1257+12, the pulsar around which the first extrasolar planets were discovered in 1992.

In astrology, Virgo is the sixth sign of the zodiac, considered as governing the period from about August 23 to about September 22. It is represented as a young maiden carrying a sheaf of wheat. She is variously identified as a fertility goddess (the Babylonian and Assyrian Ishtar, among others) or the harvest maiden (the Greek Persephone and others)

Virgo is governed by Mercury, the messenger planet of communication. Though Mercury also rules Gemini, these two signs are radically different: Gemini is about output and expression, whereas Virgo is about input and processing.
A Virgos personality traits
"On the appearance, virgos are humble, self-effacing, industrious and practical. But under the surface they are frequently natural, kind and sympathetic as benefits their zodiac sign"
