Sunset Rock | Moonstone Beach. This lone seagull had the prime real-estate for the sunset. The tide was rolling in on us and a rocky outcropping that would need to be navigated made sticking around too long a problem. The trees with their crown of emeralds and their ancient faces, bronzed and entrenched with knowledge and with wisdom, and with roots that stretch far, which no eye can see, save for the worm and mole, roots that anchor them to nature, to the throne of the earth. They are the harbingers of truth and of wisdom, and are the purifiers of the planet, and they hold court with the messengers of their wise word, the messengers of the world - the winds, they who are swift and nimble, who no mortal eye detects. They who deliver the trees' insight to all corners of the earth. All animals, of land, sea and air, are delivered the same grim message, the words of which, paint a picture of great catastrophe, if the warnings of nature dying remain unheeded. But the human, the self-appointed custodians of the Earth do not listen, cannot hear above the boasts of their arrogant psyches. And by force of greater number, they hush the dissenters amongst their ranks, and too the animals who cower in their dens and in their nests, knowing they are little match for the human and their strength of fight and ignorance. As we gather here on this special occasion of World Ocean Day, let us embark on a remarkable journey into the depths of the mighty blue that covers over 70% of our planet. Today, we celebrate the ocean—the life-giving force that sustains us, supports biodiversity, fuels our economy, and offers us countless adventures. Join us as we dive into the depths of knowledge and discover the significance of our magnificent oceans.

The Ocean's Purpose: Why It Matters:

Did you know that the ocean is responsible for producing at least 50% of the oxygen we breathe? That's right! Each breath we take is a gift from our vast and powerful ocean. Beyond oxygen production, the ocean also acts as a sanctuary for the Earth's remarkable biodiversity. It is home to millions of unique species, from the tiniest plankton to the majestic whales that grace our seas.

But the ocean's importance doesn't stop there. It serves as the primary source of protein for over a billion people worldwide. It nourishes our bodies and sustains coastal communities by providing an abundance of fish and seafood. Moreover, the ocean plays a significant role in our global economy. By 2030, an estimated 40 million people will be employed in ocean-based industries, contributing to the growth and prosperity of nations around the world.

Now that we understand the immense value of our oceans, it becomes our collective responsibility to conserve them. As members of National Public School Kudlu, we have the power to create positive change and protect the oceans for future generations. Here are some ways we can contribute:
