"It's good," König replied distractedly.

"Good for you?"

"Good for them," König snapped his attention back to the sniper next to him, breaking the stare he'd held on Birdy for minutes.

The pub was virtually empty and somehow this man had managed to find an excuse to sit down next to the lone sniper at the bar. Birdy didn't seem to mind, not by the way they smiled and laughed but it was clear they were not interested in anything more.

Sunshine only offered König a low hum of disagreement.

"Well, either they're making a new best friend or a new fuck buddy," Sunny pushed off from the wall they'd been leaning against. "That's not 'good' for either us."

Immediately, the Austrian threw his arm around his friend's waist, tugging them back as they tried to staunch towards the bar.

"Oh, no you don't." He strained, pulling Sunshine off the ground entirely and pressing their back into his chest as they clawed at him.

"Let me go you fucking gargantuan fuck," Sunny bit his arm, squealing when he slapped their forehead rapidly with his fingers. "This'll be good for everyone."

"This will be good for no one," König shook his head, dragging them both out the back door despite his best friend's struggle.

Birdy watched them leave, Sunshine in his arms and the pace urgent. They watched for a long moment, even after they were gone, before finally turning back to the man at the bar.

"What did you do?"

"I couldn't fucking self-revive fast enough, you prick." Sunshine snaps, pointing the end of their controller at Simon.

"Why did you stick your whole head out the fuckin' window?" He gestured to the screen, settling back into his beanbag frustratedly. "What did you think was gonna happen?"

"I thought I was gonna see them not get face-fucked by a bullet!"

Footsteps reverberated over the speaker and Ghost threw his head back.

"Now, they're coming for me and I'm going to get face-fucked by bullets and we're going to lose, AGAIN."
