Bruce crouched next to the small child that had been bounding around for the last few months healing people, watching idly as they scribbled on a paper with quiet chirps. Spirit, the rest of Gotham had named them, Spirit and their Sister.

“Hi Mr. Bat!” The child beamed from behind the mask when they finally looked up, burn scar stretching slightly.

He ignored the gibbering man in the corner, at least for now, seeing as he’d just arrived. “Is your sister around?” The other, well he wouldn’t call them vigilantes seeing as the kids (He’d be surprised if Sister was an adult) focused more on evacuation or healing, but it was the closest word.

“Nope!” the child put their crayons away in one of the many pockets inside the almost victorian-styled coat, one of the reasons they’d gotten their name. “Uncle Kerian is watchin’ me tonight, ‘cause Sister is busy.”

“Uncle?”

“Uncle!”

Bruce could be forgiven for the startled wheeze when the literal shadows twisted and ripped, a pair of Lazarus-green eyes- or whatever they were- gleaming from the darkness, dark hair twisting as sharp teeth similar to the siblings’ were bared in very open warning. As if the giant flaming sword wasn’t enough of a warning already.

Ah. That’s who had traumatized the several would-be kidnappers then.

I sometimes love the difference between "parody" chanels (which entire sense of humor is "character acts out of character") and the fandom of the think they are parodying.

The best example, it is a really common joke in parodies that Luigi is misareble in everything, espacially in his love life,

While the fandom is like: "Hey lets ship this green guy with a princess, a prince, and two kings and a few more people."

“Oh I am blaming all of this on you T,” one of the beings in the summoning circle groans, burying their corpse-pale head in clawed hands as their white hair flickered.

“Me? Excuse me, I wasn’t the one to accept the summoning!” another being protested, hood hiding most of their face save for molten-gold eyes and glittering runes or code on dark blue skin. “I was trying to figure out how to convince PK to change our schedule to include more sleeping, so don’t look at me, look at S!”

“Well I didn’t accept it,” the only girl-sounding one scoffed, her crown of thorns seeming to writhe and bloom in her black hair for a moment. She crossed her arms, narrowing green eyes just a few shades darker than the white-haired one. “Maybe talk to whoever decided to summon us?”

All of the sudden the cultists and heroes were being peered down at by a trio of… honestly whatever they were, because they didn’t seem to be the “Infinite King” the cult had been attempting to summon. Actually, they kind-of-maybe looked like kids… Which probably meant their parents or caretakers wouldn’t be too pleased.

i’m actually so insane over the way neverafter treats children. it looks at ylfa, at this twelve year old girl who is the bravest of them all, and it throws hell right into her face but it also says “you are strong enough to fight this but you are a child and should not have to.” it looks at rosamund, at this eighteen year old who has been asleep for years, and it twists her naivety but it also gives her protection even though it is in its most vile form. it looks at gerard, at this man who should know better now, and it curses him for a ruined lifetime but it acknowledges that he was a child and although it does not shy away there is still a comfort in knowing.
