hiya I hope this isn't like weird but I just wanted to send some positivity your way because I can only imagine how Intense people are being about the nda post which I personally found funny and didn't take as seriously as some people probably did on this Discourse™ webbedsight (god people on here can be SO condescending it's not that deep lads relax) so anyway I hope you're doing well and that you're experiencing plenty of little daily joys and brightness!!
I appreciate that! My notes blowing up this way has been a little stressful, but I'm taking being called a fucking idiot in people's tags as a "character building" experience 😅 Even though tags on reblogs are visible in my activity, and I like to read them, it's not like they're saying it to me, most of them.
I played D&D with my friends today, and picked beans in my garden! I hope you had plenty of small joys as well. And I think a lot of people got good and useful advice from some of the additions to the post, so on the whole perhaps humanity is benefiting from me being a little stupid on tumblr.

Sorry you're leaving here
Loll, babes you really think if you say it enough it'll happen? That type of manifesting doesn't work on me.
I'm in the middle of planning a new dark fic, currently doing a weekly "choose your own adventure" style fic with my followers, not to mention continuing to gain followers and working on and posting my long fics and the occasional oneshot. I encourage my followers and readers to interact with me and try to make sure I reblog works I'm tagged in or that I find interesting...
Does that sound like I'm leaving?
I've been here since 2010, babes. I'll leave when the site itself crashes and burns, not because someone hiding on anon wants me to.

I've seen a lot of discourse about Virginia Kull's portrayal of Sally Jackson in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians TV series, and I'd like to say that I loved her. Don't get me wrong. I love Sally from the original book series, and I, too, would fight the God of War on her behalf. But something that I enjoyed about Virginia's portrayal of Sally that we don't get in the books is the character depth. We don't hear much of Sally's backstory in the TV series, apart from a couple of flashbacks with younger Percy and that scene with Poseidon (Toby Stephens). However, those scenes do an excellent job of showing us that alongside being Percy's mother, Sally is also a young woman who fell in love with a man she could not be with and is enduring the natural consequences of having Percy. She struggles to communicate with him when she's frustrated, gets teary-eyed when she lies to him to prolong the inevitable, and actively sacrifices her happiness to ensure his safety. Virginia Kull's portrayal of Sally Jackson reinforces the character's humanity, imperfections, and determination, and it's everything to me.

Not engaging in bg3 discourse BUT everytime people find out an actor is shitty they always go to “oh the character sucks now” like I have really bad news for you but be prepared to be disappointed in every actor because you’re setting yourself up for that

Steddie Drabble, sequel to this post.
TW: child abuse.
Steve doesn’t have much. Eddie had made them a list of things to grab before they’d headed over to the Harrington house, a list of clothes, toiletries, basics and such, with “shampoo” underlined and “bowling pin” circled. They’d borrowed an extra duffel from Marianne across the way, since they didn’t know if trash bags would be enough, and thank god they had, kid sure had a polo collection. But moving it all out of that place - nice car parked yet nobody home, they found, blood still on the carpet - and seeing it stacked up next to Eddie’s exploding menagerie were two different things. And it just seemed to Wayne, well, when Steve was up for it, maybe they’d go to the thrifty mart together.
Steve is quiet, on account of the pain he felt moving his face and the shyness he had shrunken into, having been quickly and sharply beaten and disowned and then thrust into a new life, a new space. Wayne knew it was different, going from a frequent guest who got to put on the charm to a hurting ball of need. To feel like a burden. He saw the same thing happen to Eddie, when he was a child; he changed from an energetic ragamuffin who’d visit Wayne once every couple months to a sad, angry teen who he had to figure out how to live with. But it had worked out. And seeing how gently Eddie cleans Steve’s bruised face, how he changes his whole schedule to take care of Steve, how he cuts fruit for Steve, hearing Eddie whisper Steve to sleep, he thinks it will work out again.
Wayne learns a lot about Steve over the next couple of weeks. He learns how good a cook Steve is, how good he is at making scrambled eggs, tuna melts. How his hair is a source of pride but also seems to show off how he’s doing, like it’s connected to his mood. Some days it’s sky-high and some days it’s flat until Eddie starts whistling up the walk. Wayne loves watching Steve’s hair puff up, his smile grow, and Eddie seems to do the trick. Wayne learns just about every shirt he has is striped, that he can’t hear that well on his left side, that he likes his toast burnt to a crisp.
One morning, a couple weeks after Steve becomes his second duckling, they’re both up early in the kitchen waiting for Eddie to rise. Steve is making bacon and pork sausage, shuffling the meat around and shuffling himself around, like he’s scared to say something. Finally Wayne says “what is it, son?” And Steve starts to cry, one slow beautiful tear down each cheek. He’s been looking better, lately, seeming brighter, but he’s still been holding his breath. It’s time to exhale.
“Thank you. For saving me,” Steve moves the pan to the back burner, meat cooked, looking away. Wayne turns the stove off, and folds Steve into his arms, chuckling. Steve smells like Eddie. Steve smells like Wayne’s tobacco.
“Ain’t no thing about it, boy,” Wayne whispers to Steve, trembling and clutching the spatula. “You’re safe. You’re family.” And he pulls away before he goes softer himself, coughs, turns the stove back on for Steve’s eggs. A small little smile creeps up on Steve’s lips, still shy but an agreement nonetheless. He’s home, making breakfast for those that love him. And later, they’ll go thrifting, get Steve a thicker winter coat, more kitchen tools, some striped pajamas.

me getting ready for Volume 2 after spending the entire month foolishly convincing myself that Ronance, Steddie, and Byler will become canon:

I find it ironic that people love to talk about Billy Hargrove having internalized homophobia despite the fact that homophobic Billy is only a fanon trait, meanwhile Steve Harrington used queer as an insult against Jonathan Byers and yet folks wanna act like he's the most ally to ever ally (or even pretend he was never homophobic to begin with) just because he wasn't still a dick to Robin when she came out to him.
Y'all can have whatever headcanons you want, but the canon truth is that between Billy and Steve, only one of them got a homophobic insult slung at them but never slung it back, and it wasn't Steve.

Things I want Larian to add for Wyll with Patch 6:
Put the old kissing animation back in. It was simple and cute. You can have the twirl after the proposal (it still exists in the one moment before the Netherbrain confrontation but that moment is so short and you can't repeat it)
A nice kiss for the epilogue (this is 100% a must. It should've been there in the first place!)
Also HUGGING him in the epilogue (or whenever really. I wanna hug him so bad)
Make kissing in the Act 3 scene look good finally I'm begging
New idle animation duh. Let my dude do something else than drinking the entire time
New. Romance. Greeting.
I maintain there should be hand animation for the kissing in the Act 2 scene. Let the player put their hands on Wyll's neck (Can't see this being too much work honestly. But this is not as important as the other points)
