I don’t feel incredibly strongly about him, but I reread the series at some point recently and I related to his relationship with his mother. It really resonated with me nowadays so I think I have a lot more appreciation for his character. TG’s cool like that. 12. I don’t have many headcanons about him, so forgive my awkwardness in this. I think he would really appreciate seahorses. He has the vibe of a man that will stare at a seahorse. He probably had a marine biologist phase as a child instead of like, the Roman Empire phase most boys go through. “I watched him full send an entire bag of shredded cheese and pickles. It was impressive.” Nancy was laid across Kerry’s bed, flipping through a magazine and not helping Kerry’s nerves.

“He keeps having false alarms. That means we’re getting closer to the real deal.” Kerry had never been this scared or nervous in his life. He was about to be a father!

“Yeah? What are you so afraid of? You and Johnny look sicker than he does in the morning. Except with you two it’s all the time.”

Kerry looked down at his hands, frowning. Nancy was right, every time he saw Vincent walking around, hand rested on his stomach, or any time family or work brought up the baby, he felt sick. He knew the lengths all three had gone through for this, but they had tried so long they had lost hope. He knew Vincent was happy, despite everything he was practically glowing.

“We didn’t have good dads. We didn’t have male figures to look up too. I mean look at us! Do we look like people could be parents?” He shot up and started to pace, rubbing his face.

“Hey- Ker stop. Hey.” Nancy had climbed to the end of the bed, taking his hands. “Relax, breathe… Vince is just as terrified trust me. He’s growing a whole human inside of him. And you and J aren’t alone, none of you are. You’ve got me, Rogue, Vincent’s parents, Denny, you’ve got people who are here to help you. Granted that baby is gonna be much cooler than you and Johnny combined but still.”

Kerry stared down at Nancy, his best friend, the person who had stuck with him from the beginning. The first person to know after Johnny that they were even going to have a baby.

“You’re gonna be an aunt.” Kerry whispered, and immediately Nancy looked away.

“Don’t you start that shit I’m already having to train myself to not cry when he’s born.” Nancy took her hands back to rub her eyes and looked at Kerry.

“You’re gonna be a cool ass dad.”
