This bloodbath has gone on for far too long. At the start of this aggression, the school year had barely just started. The academic year ends in just a month. Everyone, from first graders to university seniors, have lost an entire year at least. I say at least considering even if there is a ceasefire today, Israel had destroyed literally all universities in Gaza and damaged over 400 schools. Lest we forget also Israel's deliberate targeting of university professors and academics.

You absolutely cannot mistake the intent behind all of this.

I feel like Shuu would be pretty easy to gaslight and manipulate in a relationship considering his devotion to people he cares about and idolisation thing and it makes me sad, he would not even notice. He thinks he is in control but... not really? Strong emotions are easy to take advantage of, Shuu is a whole new level of a force. I bet he also thinks he is too smart to be taken advantage of but ummm that is also why he gets taken advantage of.

a lot of times people will tell me to watch/read certain media bc ‘there’s a character in it you’ll like’ and ik the implication here is said character is probably like shuu in some way. but here’s the thing.

shuu tsukiyama’s biggest problem in fandom is that there is no one like him. i think that’s partially why he is mischaracterised so often. people seem to either see him as ‘fruity man’ or ‘creepy potential nonce’. he is neither (former is better characterisation but still).

shuu is far too complex to be reduced to such a thing. he isn’t just flamboyant, he isn’t just a bit of a freak du chic. he has very specific attributes that are very difficult to generalise. a lot of tokyo ghoul side characters are like this.

truly love how rize exists as an entity in the story. she’s like, second most important character after kaneki and she’s always haunting the narrative, you will find her in every corner. still, most of what we see of rize through the story is always filtered through the others’ pov of her.
