i need to get this out of my head before i continue clone^2 but danny being the first batkid. Like, standard procedure stuff: his parents and sister die, danny ends up with Vlad Masters. He drags him along to stereotypical galas and stuff; Danny is not having a good time.
He ends up going to one of the Wayne Galas being hosted ever since elusive Bruce Wayne has returned to Gotham. Vlad is crowing about having this opportunity as he's been wanting to sink his claws into the company for a long while now. Danny is too busy grieving to care what he wants.
And like most Galas, once Vlad is done showing him off to the other socialites and the like, he disappears. Off to a dark corner, or to one of the many balconies; doesn't matter. There he runs into said star of the show, Bruce who is still young, has been Batman for at least a year at this point, but still getting used to all these damn people and socializing. He's stepped off to hide for a few minutes before stepping back into the shark tank.
And he runs into a kid with circles under his eyes and a dull gleam in them. Familiar, like looking into a mirror.
Danny tries to excuse himself, he hasn't stopped crying since his parents died and it's been months. He rubs his eyes and stands up, and stumbles over a half-hearted apology to Mister Wayne. Some of Vlad's etiquette lessons kicking in.
Bruce is awkward, but he softens. "That's alright, lad," he says, pulling up some of that Brucie Wayne confidence, "I was just coming out here to get some fresh air."
There's a little pressing; Bruce asks who he's here with, Danny says, voice quiet and grief-stricken, that he's with his godfather Vlad Masters. Bruce asks him if he knows where he is, and Danny tells him he does. Bruce offers to leave, Danny tells him to do whatever he wants.
It ends with Bruce staying, standing off to the side with Danny in silence. Neither of them say a word, and Danny eventually leaves first in that same silence.
Bruce looks into Vlad Masters after everything is over, his interest piqued. He finds news about him taking in Danny Fenton: he looks into Danny Fenton. He finds news articles about his parents' deaths, their occupations, everything he can get his hands on.
At the next gala, he sees Danny again. And he looks the same as ever: quiet like a ghost, just as pale, and full of grief. Bruce sits in silence with him again for nearly ten minutes before he strikes a conversation.
"Do you like to do anything?"
Nothing. Just silence.
Bruce isn't quite sure what to do: comfort is not his forte, and Danny doesn't know him. He's smart enough to know that. So he starts talking about other things; anything he can think of that Brucie Wayne might say, that also wasn't inappropriate for a kid to hear.
Danny says nothing the entire time, and is again the first to leave.
Bruce watches from a distance as he intercts with Vlad Masters; how Vlad Masters interacts with him. He doesn't like what he sees: Vlad Masters keeps a hand on Danny's shoulder like one would hold onto the collar of a dog. He parades him around like a trophy he won.
And there are moments, when someone gets too close or when someone tries to shake Danny's hand, of deep possessiveness that flints over Vlad Masters' eyes. Like a dragon guarding a horde.
He plays the act of doting godfather well: but Bruce knows a liar when he sees one. Like recognizes like.
Danny is dull-eyed and blank faced the entire time; he looks miserable.
So Bruce tries to host more parties; if only so that he can talk to Danny alone. Vlad seems all too happy to attend, toting Danny along like a ribbon, and on the dot every hour, Danny slips away to somewhere to hide. Bruce appears twenty minutes later.
"I was looking into your godfather's company," he says one night, trying to think of more things to say. Some nights all they do is sit in silence. "Some of my shareholders were thinking of partnering up--"
"Don't."
He stops. Danny hardly says a word to him, he doesn't even look at him -- he's sitting on the ground, his head in his knees. Like he's trying to hide from the world. But he's looking, blue eyes piercing up at Bruce.
Bruce tilts his head, practiced puppy-like. "Pardon?"
"Don't." Danny says, strongly. "Don't make any deals with Vlad."
It's the most words Danny's spoken to him, and there's a look in his eyes like a candle finding its spark. Something hard. Bruce presses further, "And why is that?"
The spark flutters, and flushes out. Danny blinks like he's coming out of a trance, and slumps back into himself. "Just don't."
Bruce stares at him, thoughtful, before looking away. "Alright. I won't."
And they fall back into silence.
Danny, when he leaves, turns to look at Bruce, "I mean it." He says; soft like he's telling a secret, "Don't make any deals with him. Don't be alone with him. Don't work with him."
He's scampered away before Bruce can question him further.
(He never planned on working with Vlad Masters and his company; he's done his research. He's seen the misfortune. But nothing ever leads back to him. There's no evidence of anything. But Danny knows something.)
At their next meeting, Danny starts the conversation. It's new, and it's welcomed. He says, cutting through their five minute quiet, that he likes stars. And he doesn't like that he can't see them in Gotham.
Bruce hums in interest, and Danny continues talking. It's as if floodgates had been opened, and as Bruce takes a sip of his wine, it tastes like victory.
("Tucker told me once--") ("Tucker?") ("Oh-- uh, one of my best friends. He's a tech geek. We haven't talked in a while.")
(Danny shut down in his grief -- his friends are worried, but can't reach him. When he goes back to the manor with Vlad, he fishes out his phone and sends them a message.)
(They are ecstatic to hear from him.)
It all culminates until one day, when Danny is leaving to go back inside, that Bruce speaks up. "You know," He says, leaning against the railing. "The manor has many rooms; plenty of space for a guest."
The implication there, hidden between the lines. And Danny is smart, he looks at Bruce with a sharp glean in his eyes, and he nods. "Good to know."
The next time they see each other, Danny has something in his hands. "Can you hold onto something for me?" He asks.
When Bruce agrees, Danny places a pearl into his palm. or, at least, it's something that looks like a pearl. Because it's cold to the touch; sinking into Bruce's white silk gloves with ease and shimmering like an opal. It moves a little as it settles into his hand, and the moves like its full of liquid.
Bruce has never seen anything like it before, but he does know this; it's not human. "What is it?" He asks, and Danny looks uncomfortable.
"I can't tell you that." He says, shifting on his foot like he's scared of someone seeing it. "But please be careful with it. Treat it like it's extremely fragile."
When Bruce gets home, he puts it in an empty ring box and hides the box in the cave. He tries researching into what it is. he can't find anything concrete.
Everything comes to a head one day when Danny appears at the manor's doorstep one evening, soaking wet in the rain, and bleeding from the side.
#dpxdc#dp x dc#danny fenton is not the ghost king#dpxdc crossover#dpdc#dp x dc crossover#dpxdc prompt#man i just really need more dpdc stuff where danny and bruce have a good relationship. like man i NEED it. like i need to see these two#bonding together. and not in a cracky 'oh danny is a distant friend/cousin/etc' stuff but like. active participants in each other's lives#or as active as can be in this case. i neeeeed these two getting along and caring about one another#this idea came to me like last night and hasn't left since nd it was driving me up the wall to think about both positively and negatively b#i neeeded someone to hear about this or i was gonna implode#danny is the first son#tried to just get the general gist of the idea down but i definitely thought of the idea that bruce lowkey suspects vlad for having a hand#Vlad allows Danny to sneak off because he thinks Danny is alone. if he knew Bruce was there he'd be piiisssed and would put a stop to it#Sam and Tucker are alive they just got ghosted for a bit by danny bc he was in Major Grief and didn't wanna socialize. Prompt 80
So Dan knows that there’s heroes that have gone back in time, he’s aware of that fact. But he doesn’t exactly care and has more important things to worry about. Like the fact that Danny and Ellie are now three years old, right when he’s moving, though maybe that’s a blessing in disguise seeing as the GIW are searching for them in Amity.
But still, he has more important things to worry about than the speedster vibrating five feet away from him. Like making sure Ellie and Danny are alright to visit (ugh) Peepaw Clocky while he goes to work.
Ms. Mercy is not messing around, which he appreciates in a workspace, but he has to wait for another opening in the daycare before he can bring his, as far as everyone else is aware, siblings who he got emergency custody of.
What with how Jazz is interning in Gotham, they figured Metropolis would be safer. Now if the speedster would stop following him, he would really appreciate it. He’s literally just an intern under Ms Mercy as an assistant, not even one of the scientists, and it’s not like his timeline of the end of the world exists anymore!

im sure everyone’s seen the argument by non-wincest shippers that canon weirdcest moments can be explained off as particularly close brothers. i’ve seen wincesties respond by straight up denying it, but honestly, i see where they’re coming from. they do TECHNICALLY have a point, yet still, it fundamentally doesnt sit well with me.
if you isolate all of these little incidents they could be perceived as purely brotherly. its got me thinking about what exactly makes wincest so appealing, and why i as a wincest shipper immediately have an exasperated reaction to people insisting that sam&dean are purely platonic.
i also see this argument frequently bundled with the stance that “weirdcest isn’t a justification for shipping wincest” (which is a whole other can of worms altogether— the puritan culture of ship culture rn), but you gotta take a step back and just ask yourself… why am i so intent on seeing these characters as platonic?
the prevailing argument ive seen is that siblings CAN be terribly close without being incestuous. this is totally fair. i’m not saying that if you are particularly close with your siblings in a sam & dean type manner that you are incestuous. obviously relationships between family is vastly complex & changes with the culture you grew up in.
the only problem here is that people try to go so far to explain sam&dean’s relationship as to not paint it as romantic. if they weren’t related, it’d be insane to think they weren’t romantic. they are consistently and repeatedly put in situations and exchange dialogue that’s used to convey romantic tone in western media. my point here being— the writers know that they are doing. and they are doing it INTENTIONALLY.
yes, certain cultures find extensive physical touch and kisses between siblings platonically acceptable. yes, you can be very close to your siblings without wanting to fuck them. but that is such a reach given what you are being presented with. you are missing the fundamental thematic point of supernatural: family horror!!
by so steadfastly arguing that sam&dean cannot be read as romantic you are purposefully ignoring the the text. you are glossing over the repeating themes of generational trauma and incest that are touched on time and time again, with john’s father abandoning him, mary’s parents being hunters, the struggle she went through to get out of the life but how family trauma & the past permeates itself into your being. you are ignoring the benders, the ghost pregnant with her fathers child, and the time azazel KISSED MARY in HER FATHERS BODY.
supernatural pushes incestuous themes SO HARD. it purposefully plays with & explores the double-sided blade that is family. it touches on a REALLY TABOO subject without being overwhelming or heavy handed. of course its going to attract people who enjoy these themes. OF COURSE we’re going to look at the two homoerotic brother leads and see something between them! it’s intentionally placed in the script! its a valid reading of the text!
this is why i get frustrated when people say that wincest shippers are twisting canon for the sake of shipping, because we’re not. when people say this they are taking a piece of media that is intriguing in how it handles a socially unacknowledged part of the human experience and forcing their viewing of it on others. they are saying that you aren’t allowed to enjoy those themes because it is inherently wrong or shameful to EXPLORE THE TOPIC. i dunno. that sounds pretty authoritarian to me.
it’s totally fine to be grossed out by incest or avoid wincest because it makes you uncomfortable. what ISNT okay is to say its an exaggerated reaction to canon, because it really isnt. in fact, its a pretty normal & sane conclusion to come to after seeing those two. the fact that they aren’t explicitly incestuous might even enhance this idea. it touches on the unspoken secretive nature of family trauma and the complicated, messy reality of crossing boundaries with blood without being cliche or overdramatic.
im going to incite occam’s razor here: yes, they could just be brothers. yes, you can explain it all away as particularly close siblings. yes, you can argue that it isnt explicitly canon. but really, why would you do all that when the show incessantly implies that they’re more? and more importantly, why are you so quick to say that a topic cannot be explored because it’s complicated? is that really the sentiment that we as a society want to hold regarding media?

There is something so deeply fucked about the Wildmother being so willing to sacrifice Opal, a girl who she had previously sent one of her followers to protect, to Lolth’s designs all just to gain another soldier in the fight against Predathos. Lolth spelt it out what this meant for her. Lolth doesn’t give a fuck about what this means for Opal. She’s just trying to save her own skin.
And sure yeah that’s what you would expect from an evil aligned god. But oh? What’s this? A good aligned god is more than happy to let it happen too?
“Why should she stop this?” Why should Melora help save this girl who didn’t choose to put on that crown. Opal was coerced and manipulated by Lolth. She put that crown on in a time of crisis, her sister dying, her friends in danger. And Melora has abandoned her in place of getting more soldiers to throw onto the front lines.
And we knew this. We saw how Pelor treated Deanna. But Pelor had always been a dick so we brushed it off. But now we have been presented with a God that we’ve always liked. A God who previously has taken in and protected a character like Opal being chased by dark powers. That same God, turns away now. And I get it. I get their fear. But in an almost ironic fashion, Opal, the one who was literally trying to PR change a god’s image is now another example of why the people of Exandria have been swayed by Ludinus’s cause. How the Vanguard got so big. Because again the Gods displayed their hand picking, self motivated actions. Opal does not get the Fjord treatment from Melora. She was not deemed special enough to be saved. She’s another sacrifice in a fight she doesn’t even know about.
There is something so unsettling when the Gods no longer want followers, no longer want people of faith. But when they want soldiers in their name.

Just had a funny thought.
So we know Toji's appearance and murder of Riko was unexpected for everyone. (2006, 12 years ago)
Tumblr media
Besides the TVA and Q, it didn't look like anyone else was going for Amanai. So, Kenjaku was probably going to wait another 500 years before their plan was going to start.
At this point they'd already gotten Kaori Itadori's Antigravity System and given birth to Yuji, though, which is interesting. (2003, 15 years ago) So, maybe Yuuji really wasn't initially meant to serve a greater purpose. Housing of Sukuna or otherwise... Or maybe Yuji was a happy coincidental prototype? An experimental run through? Or maybe Yuuji is just singularly unique.
Tumblr media
Anyway, what I thought was funny is that after Toji killed Amanai, Kenjaku was probably sweating and rushing to find the Prison Realm. (2012, 6 years ago) Like, "Holy shit I've gotta take advantage of this opportunity! 💦"
Tumblr media
But yeah, it probably moved up their plans by A LOT.
And then you got Geto with his Cursed Manipulation. He has a falling out with Gojo, then Gojo kills him and leaves his body ripe for the picking. (2017, 1 year ago) And since the merger didn't happen, Tengen is more Curse than human, it's like, everything perfectly fell into place.
Actually, sure Toji fucked up a lot of shit for everyone in the current timeline, but you can also see it as a good thing. This specific group of individuals (Satoru Gojo, Yuji Itadori) wouldn't be around in 500 years to disrupt Kenjaku's plans otherwise.
Tumblr media
The Star Plasma Vessel, Six Eyes, and Tengen are fated. Fate is a tangible concept that exists in JJK. Which throws Toji's role in an interesting light...
Tumblr media
Kenjaku says Toji's presence destroyed their destinies. But if there is a higher power in JJK... the one who bestows "Heavenly Restriction"... I'd say it's actually the opposite. Toji's actions may've saved the greater human race.
TL;DR Toji Fushiguro's murder of Riko Amanai is part of Heaven's greater plan to counteract Kenjaku's plan.

👽// i haven’t really touched upon it too much on the blog outside of context clues in the bios, but ATLAS is revered fondly on Earth as the next pioneers of research & development.
ATLAS has genuinely done plenty of good for humankind as a whole. They hold charities, they improve lives, they’re first-responders in disasters: on the surface, they are genuinely good samaritans.
Many of those who work and operate under ATLAS, either stationed in the space colony or on Earth, have no clue about the true motives behind the curtain.
Still, it never gets any easier for Doc & Ophelia whenever they overhear genuine wonderment and praise about the organization OR to hear how tragic the unforeseen demise of the space colony was. (and truthfully, it is tragic. more people who didn’t deserve it lost their lives versus those that did deserve it).
Doc tries his best to keep Ophelia from hearing this, but there’s only so much you can do.

(via It’s a “fake PR stunt”: Artists hate Meta’s AI data deletion process | Ars Technica)
This August, when Meta began allowing people to submit requests to delete personal data from third parties used to train Meta’s generative AI models, many artists and journalists interpreted this new process as Meta’s very limited version of an opt-out program. CNBC explicitly referred to the request form as an “opt-out tool.”
This is a misconception. In reality, there is no functional way to opt out of Meta’s generative AI training.
Artists who have tried to use Meta’s data deletion request form have learned this the hard way and have been deeply frustrated with the process. “It was horrible,” illustrator Mignon Zakuga says. Over a dozen artists shared with WIRED an identical form letter they received from Meta in response to their queries. In it, Meta says it is “unable to process the request” until the requester submits evidence that their personal information appears in responses from Meta’s generative AI.
so - this looks like the best way to go currently...
...The tool, called Nightshade, is intended as a way to fight back against AI companies that use artists’ work to train their models without the creator’s permission.

Rise of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - "Mask of the Masked Rider"
Prince Dex of Edenoi was given the powers of the Masked Rider by his dying grandfather, King Lexian, following a devastating final assault on Edenoi's capital by the evil Count Dregon. With Edenoi's defenses crippled, Dregon set his sights on Earth. Dex soon followed, teaming up with the Power Rangers and forming a strong alliance with them, counting them as some of his first and closest friends.
Dex's past is riddled in tragedy, Edenoi having been under constant siege since before he was born. His planet made for an easy target, as most of the population were pacifists, save for the Masked Rider Warriors that stood guard against incursions. Sadly, they were all wiped out in Dregon's final attack, leaving only Dex and his Ectophase Activator as the last remnants of the Rider Warriors.
Around the Rangers, Dex says everything extremely deadpan, making it hard to tell whether or not he's joking, but he will soon clarify with an equally deadpan "That was a joke." or "Was that not funny?"
He comes into inadvertant conflict with Tommy as she starts to worry about him replacing her on the team, threatened by the "newer and cooler green guy". The two soon reconcile as Tommy apologises for projecting onto him, with Dex saying that, as someone who also had never had friends before now, it's understandable that she would be worried about losing them again.
#rotmmpr#power rangers#mmpr#masked rider#kamen rider#dex stewart#OKAY im glad i got this one out of my system#three guesses who i was thinking of while designing dex's civilian form lmaoo#dex is one of my fav bits of rise bc i think he's one of the most clever and dumb jokes i could think of that ALSO moves things forward#essentially he's a meta joke about people considering rider to be more ''mature'' than sentai or pr even though it has the same target demo#+ a purposeful and comedic over-correction on the original saban's masked rider since that show ended up being more of a sitcom than even p#while ALSO referencing the fact that kamen rider black got an adult-oriented reboot last year#plus i just thought ''mask of the masked rider'' was a silly subtitle for the mini-arc he'd appear in#his suit is also deliberately designed to be a lil more complex and ''modern superhero design'' than the rangers' suits#to contrast against them and match his like. different tone than them#but ye. he's very much tied into tommy's arc on the team where they both have the sort of. tendency to just say shit#that they think is completely normal. but is so deeply fucked up to everyone around them#obvs dex to a much more extreme degree since he's a victim of actual genocide lmao#and both he and tommy learn how to work in a team over the course of the masked rider arc#i also imagine tommy would have a lil dream sequence where she imagines dex replacing her as the green ranger#and he morphs into a form that looks kinda like kamen rider j or zo#i won't be designing the other masked rider warriors but just know. I AM AMAZON. would be canon.

POWER RANGERS COLOR ALIGNMENT
make note i only used the colors of the original MMPR  seasons (red, blue, black, yellow, pink and the options green and white). based on both of my posts with CK characters (TEENS) (ADULTS)
RED: usually, in PR lore, red is team leader. while this fits miguel to a tee, it might not johnny, but CK is about johnny’s journey to become a leader. most seasons of PR have someone who is impulsive and rash, maybe selfish who grows into a team leader, which is johnny’s arc. both miguel and johnny are brave, dedicated, high-spirited, stubborn, sometimes too impulsive or irrational, passionate. they also the characters who have the most growth from beggining to end as the shows dedicate reds a lot of time.
BLUE:  blue rangers are often two things; one butt heads with reds for leadership or ideas, and/or second in command. they are loyal, focused and a source of conscience, they are experimental and they are highly adaptable. both daniel and hawk had shown to adapt easily to different styles and had grown to be second in command of their respective teams. while miguel and hawk never butted heads per say, they did had a fall out when they alligned in different dojos. and daniel and johnny, we all know the deal. blues are also some of the characters who have the greatest spiritial growth.
BLACK: black is mysterious. while in our concept black is associated with void, darkness, in power rangers, black rangers are often those who dare to be different, cool, confident,  determinated, and well, masculine in the traditional way. mike barnes fits all of those bills, specially the barnes we meet in season 5. and he is still mysterious, because we haven’t seen him in a long time. they might not get the credit they deserve but PR has some famous black rangers who stand up by their uniqueness and growth (zack, adam muah.)
YELLOW:  yellow rangers are often both cheery, the stand out, smart, creative, and the ones to motivate the team when they are down. they represent sometimes the struggle to go from one side to the other and mantain their strength, sometimes they might struggle with their place in a team. amanda and tory are both that, which is why amanda took such kindship to tory in s4. amanda is a motivator, in the dealership and in season five. tory is smart, creative and a stand out, but struggles with her place in the world.
PINK: we associate pink with feminism. it’s beyond that, as we have rangers who are more bold and less feminine in the traditional sense (muah jen from time force). but pink rangers represent sweetness and sensitivity, kindship, loyalty too, due to their more feminine nature, they might struggle with a place in a group of fighters but they chose to fight their fights in less conventional ways. pinks are also voices of reason to their teams. guidence nature. both kumiko and sam had shown to be that to many people as well being fierce warriors each in unique ways, kumiko was ready to fight chozen in tkk2 and defend daniel and sam is all of the above.
WHITE: sometimes as sixth rangers. last resort, a wild card at times, a complementary force to make the team stronger when in time of need. chozen is exactly that. it’s a color of freedom and liberation. in canon the first time we saw a white ranger was the unique transformation of tommy from green to white, from a color associated with the evil side to white, a light. first time we see chozen in CK he had gone through his own green-white arc, a path of honor and to defend those. white rangers are unique as there isn’t many as the sixth ranger varies in color by team. but they are always there to make the team grow which chozen does.
GREEN: like white rangers, they are often the sixth ranger. more often than not, specially in the example of the first green ranger, tommy oliver, they are powerhouss of characters, both in strength and in audience grip. robby is both, we have seen him as one of the best fighters from the kids side. sometimes second in command of their teams like in MMPR, they go through tremendous hardhips to earn their spot as part of the team. tommy had his evil green arc before he became part of the team and robby had his s3-s4 arc as cobra kai before he became miyagi-do again and became to redeem like tommy did.
i could honestly write so much more, and i guess, if i had to add more colors to other muses, demetri might be blue too or maybe purple. but i was going with the original color alignment.
anyways, thank you for coming to my ted talk, hope i didn’t bore you.

Idk. As an AFAB incredibly butch lesbian, AMAB Dirk is just so apparent to me that I could never read him as a trans man in a million years. He doesn't have the vibes.
Perhaps that comes from a place of me having read Homestuck in 2023 where the Internet has been infested with dudebro podcasts alpha male horseshit for so long that I read his masculinity in the very same light. It feels forced in the exact same manner many cis men take upon themselves these days in order to reclaim this sense of lost patriarchy.
Which is especially pertinent when you think about the future Dirk has built up for himself, thinking he's going to be this shadow ruler that's in charge of everything behind the scenes. The system itself built upon man's image, and the face of that system is a girl who likes to wear fake mustaches.
It's not that I think this sort of reading is intentionally drawn out, but it makes more sense to me for him to be cis. And well. Regardless, I'm sure his godtier body certainly is.

I agree with what you said about the Ash thing but I think there is also another layer to it. He said "I'm upset that you'd think so little of me". That sounds pretty parasocial since can he honestly say that any fans truly know him to the extent that they can infer his intentions on the people he follows? This is his first time in the public eye and it sucks that he had to go through a bit of baptism by fire, but maybe it is better now than later. I think it also means that all of the positivity that goes his way has a price tag of being held to a higher standard, and he is only finding that out now. It may have burned him enough to be a bit more guarded than he has been. To be fair, the bigger they get, the more likely something like this was going to happen eventually. Hopefully in the future he taps into the resource he has that has already been through some of this.
Or he could just pull a Mark and only post cat pics on his Insta... Cats + internet = nobody gets hurt
There’s a lot to unpack here, which is a disappointing thing to say about a situation that the majority of people agreed could have been either silent or a simple one tweet “whoopsie, problem solved.” That tweet/thread very quickly became The Problem Object as soon as it came into existence and made the issue way more weird and provocative than it needed to be. It accidentally revealed a lot more about his attitudes than the starting issue, and it’s even more damning because unlike the weird mystery twitter follow you can tell he meant it. That’s not easily undone.
The thread was unambiguously aggressive, even without the initial tweet. (Can anyone get me thread screenshots for posterity? Some of those one-liners have to be seen to be believed. The ‘unlike you losers I have a life’ overtones are wild.) Even the tweet that got to stay up is pretty bad. Never try to scold a crowd unless you are absolutely sure you have the moral highground. It was a bone-headed move to take a self-victimising tone in this situation and I think it’s going to leave a lasting scar on his reputation even if he deleted it all after.
I’ve mentioned Ash before as someone who has made a brand for himself as a loveable, jolly-looking mime. There’s something to be said for celebrity in general being a game of fill-in-the-blank using the glamorous context clues of their job and surroundings, easily moving into idealisation from there. It was perversely funny to watch people play the usual ”parasocial” card but backwards—“We don’t know you. We’ve never even heard you talk.” Some of his cartoonish celebrity mystique, the blank canvas that people were projecting benefit of the doubt onto, now has a massive awkward paint splotch on it that portrays him as someone who doesn’t know how to emotionally manage social justice/ social media issues. That’s a dangerous kind of person to be in the public eye, so something needs to change.
It's not just Ash’s own reputation that he’s playing with when things like this happen, it’s the things he’s attached to as well. This was irresponsible, and he’s probably going to get a slap on the wrist from a PR professional assuming Lovejoy has one. It’s something to adjust to but frankly he can’t back out of it now, you don’t get to speak in a large forum as a public figure and not get treated like a public figure.

The Master Sword
All GSA members are given a 'speciality weapon' when they pass a certain hard trial, which was hidden mostly to the public. There were some people who cleared this trial, including Galacta and Meta.
The Master Sword, given as a reward completing said trial above, is Meta Knight's first magical weapon. It looks like a simple sword with a normal blad at first glance, but once anyone picks it up the blade turns into that akin of a gold color, with an aura spiking up from it. While it can be used as a normal sword, Meta Knight soon learns he can cast spells with it as the conductor. In other words, this sword is also a portable wand.
Since the Galaxia is retrieved and Meta was given the responsibility to use and guard it, the Master Sword was rarely used. Once a month, the knight would use the sword to de-rust it and make sure it's in good condition, and even considered passing it over to Kirby in case he becomes a knight. In fact, he brought it as opposed to the Galaxia during events of Amazing Mirror for that once-a-month test before being attacked by a possessed Dark Meta Knight.
While not the most almighty weapon out there, it still counts as a final weapon item when Meta decided that "screw it, I'm leaving this one for Kirby due to my injuries" and tosses the sword into the mirror portal where Kirby was facing Dark Mind. Turns out, Kirby wields it quite well, because he assumed it worked in a similar vein as the Galaxia!
Ever since then, the sword has been left with the Mirror World as an emergency weapon. Almost like one of those 'in case of emergency, break the glass' kind of thing. It became a bit more necessary after events of Triple Deluxe, especially after reports of whatever happens in the main world starts coming in from time to time: if Shadow Kirby isn't using it, it's most likely that Dark Meta Knight is, and both goes to use it as a training device during peace times in case something's going to happen horribly. Yes, even the borb who has a anger management therapy does use it. Under supervision of course, because a very angry borb holding such sword would be ridiculously lethal.
Meta Knight doesn't have any issue with this, the Galaxia was enough for himself and it doesn't hurt to give the Mirror World a helping hand despite him despising the place a bit.
