Finally bit the bullet and ordered a screen printing kit... I just finished these designs (below) and I'm quite eager to print them now.

I've decided to get extender like the stuff we use at uni, I've got about a litre and some mixing pots and I have sooooo much acrylic. I don't need a bed, I have a husband who can stand on it while I pull my print hehehe

Finally, I found this video which shows you the best method to expose a screen using sunlight. So I'll be doing that as soon as it arrives.

Anyway, here's the designs I did today. The second image will be overlayed on the first and they are both images of my childhood home in the mid to late nineties. I miss my childhood home, it doesn't exist in any of the three forms that it once did anymore but I remember every detail in my head still for the most part so - they live on.

Im still no where close to a conclusion on what I want this project to say, if it's about grieving or my own past traumas? I don't know. I've been reliving a lot of my past and there's a lot a lot of good but there's also bad.

Like recently, I reconnected with my childhood best friend who lived in a different province and I hadn't seen for donkeys years. This wasn't a result of this project however it provided joy and inspiration of how to carry my work and what to begin researching. The bad is mainly the emotional toll it takes on me. Luckily, I have animal crossing.

Which I definitely haven't been playing too much of to distract myself from uni work......... It's the pandemics fault Rob and Monika, not mine.

I have been painting in animal crossing however and have attached the results. I know, it's a gift, really.
