Heaven, when I held you again How could we ever just be friends? I would rather die than let you go Juliet to your Romeo How I heard you say...
"I would never fall in love again, until I found her” I said, “I would never fall, unless it’s you I fall into” I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her I found you

Pokeshipping Week 2023
Day 1: First Date
“I just don’t get it,” Ash whines for the umpteenth time in the last ten minutes. “Why would Brock cancel plans with us just so he could go on some stupid date?”
“Because it’s Brock,” Misty explains with a shrug. “He got a girl to actually say yes to him for once. He had to drop everything and go on the date before she came to her senses.”
Ash snorts, but then immediately pouts once again. “Yeah, but we planned to go to this exhibition match forever ago. You even took off work at the gym! You never take off work anymore.”
“That’s not true!” she insists, as Ash scoffs. “I took off for that ridiculous thing you and Tracy did! With that tangela? You’d still be stuck together if it wasn’t for me.”
Ash looks unimpressed, but he drops it at least for now with a little hum of agreement, and goes back to pouting. “Whatever. I still think it’s stupid he ditched us for a dumb ol’ date.”
Misty rolls her eyes and sighs dramatically. “You would.”
“I would what?”
“Not understand why someone would choose to go on a date rather than watch a pokémon battle?” she explains haughtily. “It’s not like you’ve ever been on a date before.”
“Oh and you have?”
She falters for a brief moment. “Well…No. But—”
“Ha!”
“But!” she says, louder this time to drown him out. “At least I know that dates can be fun and special and it’s worth giving up something to go on one.”
“No date would be worth giving up a Pokémon battle,” he says confidently. Misty rolls her eyes.
Then, she gets an idea.
“Wanna bet?”
Ash blinks at her in surprise. “Huh?”
“Let’s make a bet. You and I will go on a date, and by the end, I bet you’ll admit it was worth missing a Pokemon match over.”
Ash smirks. “And what do I get when I don’t agree?”
“If, in the highly unlikely chance you don’t agree, you… I don’t know. You get the pleasure of going on a date with the world famous Beauty and best Sensational Sister, Misty?”
Ash rolls his eyes, but he’s grinning. “We’ll work on the prize later,” he says, deadpan, and holds out his hand to shake. “But deal. You’re on.”
Misty grins back and shakes his hand. “Prepare yourself for the time of your life.”

Day 9: Ash x Misty
The number 1 ship of all time has got to be Ash and Misty. They started as companions with Brock as the third wheel. If I remember correctly, they both haves crushes on one another and since Pokemon is not a romance anime, it's just hinted. Before Ash's other ship variants even showed up, this one stood still and never budged.

“...so, you wanna be my Valentine?”
Misty slowly looked up from her sandwich and shot Ash an unimpressed look. “Seriously?”
“What?!” Ash cried, straightening up. “I asked, didn’t I?!”
“Yeah, like Pikachu was about to thunderbolt you if you didn’t,” Misty scoffed. “I’ve heard you have more enthusiasm over a commercial you like coming on the TV in the Pokémon Center!”
Ash scowled. “Any other complaints?”
“You asking me while I’m in the middle of eating lunch is also pretty lame.”
Rolling his eyes, Ash got off the bench and began stomping away from his girlfriend. “Fine! I’ll do it over!”
Misty watched him go in silence, her own eyes ever so slightly narrowed. From the tree behind her, Brock poked his head out, shaking it with clear disappointment. “I told him not to do that.”
“Well, you know Ash: he doesn’t listen,” Misty sighed, putting her sandwich down. Raising an eyebrow, Misty looked over her shoulder and asked, “how long have you been hiding back there, anyway?”
“Long enough,” Brock vaguely replied, fully stepping out into the sunlight.
Huffing, Misty placed her head in her hand. “What if he never grows up?”
“It’s highly likely,” Brock answered far too quickly for Misty’s liking. Before she could snap at him, however, Brock continued, “but he does love you. That’s not even a question. So, you might just have to live with him making a few mistakes along the way.”
“I guess,” Misty grumbled. “Although, I think calling it a ‘few’ mistakes is pretty generous.”
Brock chuckled, and when he saw Ash returning with a far more mellow expression, his smirk managed to widen. “Ah, look who’s back!”
Ignoring the Pokémon doctor, Ash approached Misty, avoiding plopping himself down on the wooden bench this time around. Holding his hand out towards her, Ash politely asked, “will you please follow me?”
Misty hesitantly looked over at Brock, but he was busy pretending to stare up at something in the sky. Groaning, she turned her attention back onto Ash, who was still waiting quite patiently on her. Unable to fight the little smile that was playing on her lips, Misty giggled and placed her hand in Ash’s. “Sure.”
Excitement managed to break through Ash’s gentlemanly demeanor, and he grinned almost wildly as soon as Misty intertwined her fingers with his. With his newly increased fervor, Ash pulled Misty up from her seat, causing her to yelp in surprise as he tugged her away from the picnic table. As Ash’s laughter and Misty’s pleas for him to slow down grew more distant, Brock finally lowered his head, watching in amusement as his two younger friends flitted further and further away.
“She’ll learn. Not today, but eventually.”
Ash didn’t have to drag Misty much further before he reached their destination. Misty still wasn’t pleased about being dragged along like a toy on a string, and she had every intention of letting Ash know that. The comment died in her throat, however, once she saw where Ash had pulled her to.
In front of a large, crystal clear lake were both his and her Pokémon, with Pikachu front and center, gathered around a very impressive bouquet of flowers. Psyduck was even sporting a crown of them around his head, looking very confused about the whole situation and causing Misty to giggle.
“Is this better?” Ash asked.
Misty snorted. His question seemed genuine, like he really wasn’t sure if it was or not, but he still had that big, dorky grin on his face. Misty could never be fully sure when he was being wholly naïve or playing dense on purpose.
For whatever reason, she found that to be one of his most endearing features.
“Yes, this is better,” Misty confirmed, deciding it wasn’t worth it to test him on it. “Actually, it’s perfect! Where’d you manage to get these flowers from? I know you didn’t just manage to gather all these up in the last 10 minutes.”
Ash sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. “Nah, I’ve been putting them together for a little while. I kind of knew this was what I was gonna surprise you with the whole time, to be honest.”
Misty furrowed her brow. “Hold on. If this was the plan, then what was with the weird ‘wanna be my Valentine’ question before?”
“I thought you’d be more mad if I interrupted your lunch, so I tried something simpler,” Ash reluctantly admitted. “Brock told me not to do that, but...”
“You didn’t listen,” Misty concluded when Ash trailed off, guiltily poking his fingers together. “That’s what he meant!”
“Guess I was better off just starting with this, huh?” Ash muttered.
Misty smirked and strode forward, grabbing onto Ash’s hands. “Yeah, you were. But that’s okay! You’re learning.”
“Heh, I guess so,” Ash laughed nervously. “Really, really slowly, but - “
“Still learning,” Misty cut him off, leaning in to give him an innocent kiss before pulling away to smile at his delicate blush. “And I really appreciate it.”

Pokeshipping Week 2022 Day 1: Lovers and Best Friends
Absence makes the heart grow fonder
“Piplup, come back here!” Dawn called, chasing after her starter Pokémon through the crowds.  The scrappy doo Pokémon had darted out of her arms just a moment ago, and now thanks to the penguin creature she had completely lost her two friends in the midst of the crowd.
“Piplup, where are you?” she cried in distress, having lost sight of the flash of blue within the duration of her inner monologue.
“Excuse me,” a light voice called, tapping Dawn lightly on the shoulder.  “Is this yours?”
Dawn turned to answer the person, smiling brightly as she recognised the Pokémon in the stranger’s arms.  “Piplup!” she cheered happily, snatching the water/flying type from the good Samaritan.  “What have I told you about running off like that?” she scolded.
The penguin responded with an ambiguous “plup” that may have meant ‘I’m sorry’ but may have also been a dismissive ‘penguin power’.
“Thank you so much,” Dawn continued, finally turning her eyes to Piplup’s saviour.
“It was nothing,” the girl replied, waving off Dawn’s gratitude.  “Anything for a water Pokémon,” she added with an impish wink.
Dawn smiled back, taking a moment to examine the girl.  She was dressed in a pretty yellow dress with a red ribbon around her waist and a pair of shiny, red ballet flats, and her long orange hair was curled and fell past her shoulders.  Her bright turquoise eyes were thickly lashed and her pretty face accented with minimal makeup.  The only things that didn’t seemed to match her current prim attire was the jagged fringe swept across her forehead and the worn red knapsack hanging over her shoulder.
“Do I know you?” Dawn asked curiously, frowning at the strange sense of familiarity.
“I don’t think so,” she girl replied.
“Hmm,” Dawn murmured, “I must have seen you in a magazine or something.  Are you a co-ordinator?”
“No,” she replied with a shake of her head.  “I’m a gym leader,” she admitted.  “Not from here,” she added as Dawn frowned once again.  “I’m from Kanto.”
Dawn’s eyes brightened excitedly.  “Kanto!” she exclaimed.  “My friends are from Kanto.  I should introduce them to you.  Maybe you battled them.  One of my friends is a trainer – he’s competing in the tournament, which is why I’m here.”
“What are the odds?” the girl muttered lowly under her breath.  “Two Kanto trainers in the same tournament.”
“Follow me,” Dawn continued before she could protest, grabbing the girl by the hand and dragging her in the direction where she had last seen Ash and Brock.
It wasn’t long before she was back where she started, her two friends still seated at a table surrounded by piles and piles of food.  Dawn wondered momentarily if she should warn the gym leader about Brock’s ‘tendency’ but decided it would probably be safe given that the breeder tended to prefer girls much older than him, rather than younger or the same age.
“Brock! Ash!” Dawn called, gaining their attention quickly.
The two boys made to greet their young companion, but froze the second they turned in her direction, Ash even going so far as to drop the food in his hands.  Both were staring with wide eyes and opened mouths, only they weren’t staring at Dawn, they were staring at the girl that she had dragged along with her.
It was a rather strange experience for Dawn, because while Brock was staring at the girl with an expression of surprise and joy, it was Ash that was blushing and looking sort of goofy and who would probably need the aid of a Pokémon to bring him back to his senses.  Luckily, Pikachu was there to be of assistance.
“Pikachupi!” the electric mouse cheered, propelling himself into the arms of Dawn’s new companion.  It was enough to knock both Ash and Brock out of their stupor, and the two boys quickly scrambled out of their seats, following Pikachu’s lead.
“Hello to you too, Pikachu,” the girl cooed, gently caressing the Pokémon’s golden fur.  She glanced up, meaningfully meeting the gaze of the Pokémon’s trainer.
“Misty,” Ash uttered almost breathlessly in a low whisper.  “Misty!” he cried a moment later, his happy cheer exactly as exuberant as Pikachu’s. The awe in his expression changed to pleasure, as though he didn’t believe she was really there until that moment, pulling the girl into his arms before she could even protest.
“Misty, I’ve missed you,” he told her, holding the girl tightly in his embrace, which she returned with equal pressure.  “So much, Myst.”
“I’ve missed you too,” she admitted shyly, burying her head into his chest.  “I’m sorry I didn’t get here sooner,” she apologized, finally looking up to meet his eye.  “I missed your first match.”
“Doesn’t matter,” he replied with a quick shake of his head, his hand tracing along her cheek with obvious affection.  “As long as you’re here for the last.”
“Are we missing something?” Dawn asked, standing to the side with a look of abject confusion on her face.
“Not anymore,” Brock grinned.  “Not anymore.”
